ty, im glad to be back too! honestly i wanted to redo that one anyway, or you can think of this as an add on to that!

Shoji’s lack of response seemed to make the world freeze. Or maybe everything is going faster? Spinning. You’re mind is spiralling, that’s what this feeling is.

As soon as the request was spoken into existence, you regretted it. Never had Shoji made you uncomfortable, he loved that about you, you were never so much as apprehensive around him. But now, you fidget and tense at his (intense) gaze. Shoji’s eyes flicked over to the window looking over the dorm’s courtyard, but not looking at anything in particular. Just a minute ago you wanted to run away and die in a corner, and now you just want him to look at you.

“I.. I didn’t mean—“

“It’s okay,” Shoji finally emerged from his trance, though only for a second. “It’s just…”

You held your breath, waiting for something, anything to ease your racing thoughts that tried to think of how to go back in time and tell yourself to shut the fuck up.

“I’m not from the cities. I know how my appearance makes people feel, my hometown made sure of that,” he says softly, almost inaudible, still not looking at you. “I don’t want… I don’t want you to—“

“I’m not scared of you,” you didn’t mean to say that. You tried to think of something else to say, anything to make him believe you. But all you could muster was a hand on his thigh.

Shoji turned his head to look at your hand, and with a deep breath he continued, “I know. I’m just…”

He finally looks at you again, “I’m not exactly nice to look at. I thought I’d always be— I don’t know, I didn’t think anyone would want—“ he gestures to his face. “… this.”

Without thinking, you swung your legs over to sit on his lap. Shoji chokes out something akin to a gasp, but does not object when your arms move to embrace him. Shoji’s hands almost seem to shake as he slowly lifts his arms to return the gesture.

It was short lived, however, when Shoji pulled away, and after a moment of thought, reached to his mask. Your hands follow his to grasp the hem of his mask and pull it over his head. For a moment you still can’t see as his hair hangs over his face. When you brushed the hair away, Shoji didn’t know what he expected from you. He searched your face for any suggestion of uncertainty or regret, but all he found was your beautiful smile.

Synopsis: You and Shoji both came home to work at different times, but always found the time to sit together, relax, and sometimes, just observe the night.

Shoji had always liked nights like these. Ones where the mosquitos weren’t coming out of hiding, the air was only just slightly cold, the sky was clear and cloudless. He inhaled deeply, taking in the cool air, and smiled as he exhaled, relaxing into his chair on the porch of his home. He had considered himself licky when he found said house for sale; away from people, overlooking the ocean from a ways up, giving the perfect view of the sunset and subsequent night sky. There was only one thing that could make this night any more perfect for the young hero..

A gentle kiss landed on his cheek, startling him out of his thoughts. You offered a small, sheepish smile, sitting in the chair next to him.

“Sorry, didn’t hear you come home.” He exhaled, taking the drink you offered to him. You opened your soda, the crack and resulting fizzing sound lingering in the air as you both sat silently for a while, both taking some time to relax and unwind from the day’s events before really interacting with one another.

Shoji took a sip of his drink, taking a moment to glance over towards you. It had been many years since he had felt the need to wear his mask around you, and he had always been grateful for the comfort and safety you had always seemed to exude for him. Now here you were, next to him, just.. Sitting. Seeming as relaxed as you always managed to make him feel, without having to do anything but exist in his vicinity.

“Mezo?”

“Hm?”

“You were staring at me.. Everything alright?”

“..Yes. Merely admiring you, (Y/n).”

You chuckled, and he couldn’t help but to smile. He used to hate expressing his emotions without his mask, the corners of his far-too-wide mouth curling upwards, but you had always told him that you loved him already, that he couldn’t scare you off just by showing his happiness.

You looked away from him, gazing back out across your shared yard. From his vantage point beside you, he watched as you leaned forward onto your knees, idly swirling your drink in your hand.

“Hey, Mezo. Look.” He followed your gaze, looking back out into the cloudless sky.

The stars shone brightly from where they sat in the sky, not quite twinkling like most people would say, but seemingly pulsating with light. Various shades of white, blue, and red dots, all suspended like pinpricks through the fabric of the night sky.

Shoji smiled again, tilting his head back to observe you. You had abandoned your drink on the table between your chairs, head resting in your hand. A small smile graced your features, and Shoji couldn’t help but feel a ripple of love for you. Even just sitting like you were, lost in your own thoughts as he was, you were always so.. Ethereal.

You turned, eyes locking with his own. He gave a sheepish smile, turning almost hastily back to the sky.

He heard you stand, and a slight twinge of guilt hit him. It almost felt as though he had somehow scared you away as he had done to others in his past. Like Orpheus to Eurydice, he resisted his urge to turn, to look; as though doing so would somehow force your departure.

Instead, you walked over, sitting yourself on his lap. A small noise of confusion left his throat, and he finally looked back to you.

You leaned back in his chest, pulling all six of his arms over you. Similarly to a child seeking protection from their parents, you laced your fingers with his one by one, impatiently bringing them across your body before reaching for the next. When you deemed your work satisfactory, you finally met his loving, confused gaze, and merely shrugged at his silent question.

“I got cold.”

He sighed, feigning exasperation as he gave you a gentle smile.

“We could go inside.”

You pretended to think it over. Shiji laughed at the creasing of your brow, the one arm you brought up through all his to rest on your chin.

“Hmmmmmm.. I don’t think we can see the stars from inside..”

“We cannot.” He confirmed.

You feigned a pout, seemingly unable to contain the upward quirk of your lips.

“Darn it! Whelp, guess I’m going to stay right here,” you punctuated the word as you leaned deeper into his chest, “so that I can keep stargazing.”

He sighed, pulling you closer to him with the blanket of arms you yourself had put together. He leaned forward, kissing your temple before resting his chin atop your head.

“Then I will stay right here to keep you warm.”

However, as his sift comes to an end at 5am, he will drive through your favorite coffee place, pick up your beverage and bring it home

He walks in to hear the TV on and you sound asleep with your newborn on your chest

Your toddler is happily watching cartoons while mom rests her eyes

Headcanons about the first time they said I love you.

Tokoyami and you had been together for quite some while.

Of course Dark Shadow is also in the relationship. 2 for 1 baby

And along with being so close to both of them you saw up close and personal how hard DS is for Tokoyami sometimes

You had seen it get out of control before, nothing comparing to the training camp but still

You had seen how far they both had progressed with eachother and how hard they have been working

You wanted to do whatever you could to keep DS and Tokoyami safe and out of any trouble.

One small thing you did was collect match books and always have them on you.

Your bag, pocket, bedroom, you have a couple stashed in Tokoyami's room, and places like that.

Your thought is that while it isnt much light it would be enough to startle DS and give Tokoyami an opening to regain control.

You haven't had to use any yet and so Tokoyami doesn't really know, because you didnt think it was worth bringing up

One day he was in your room with you just hanging out

He reached into your nightstand drawer to grab the tv remote and saw a little box full of matchbooks

"Do you collect these or something?"

You saw he was looking through all of them and didn't think much of what you were saying.

"I keep them on me and around incase Shadow gets out of hand."

His face looked defeated and dropped slightly

"Are you scared of us? Of Shadow?"

Immediately you knew that he was over thinking it

"No babe of course not! I just do it to help if I can.. I know it's really scary for you so I wanted to try to help. how could I ever be scared of Shadow?"

You kissed the top of his beak and lightly pet his feathers down

He was looking at you like you're the only thing that matters.

And then he said it.

"You are the only person who cares like that. I love you."

He pressed his beak into the bridge of your nose, his version of a kiss

And then you guys went back to doing what you do

Shoji and you had been friends a long time before you started dating, and had a very long period of mutual pining.

You still hadn't seen Shoji with his mask off, nor have you both exchanged I Love Yous

One day while at your house you finally asked him the dreaded question.

You were both sitting in bed him cross cross and you sitting across from him.

"Hey Mez? Can I see your face? Like all of it? If you're not ready that's okay, I am just curious."

He took a shaky breath before nodding.

He was about to pull down his mask but stopped.

"Please don't laugh. And if I frighten you you can tell me."

Your chest stung with his words, why would he even think that?

"I swear I wont, and I doubt you will."

He slowly removed his mask, amd once it was fully off his face fell toward his lap

His hair fell in front of his whole face so you couldn't see.

Without saying a word you reached under his chin and cupped his face in your hands

You gently tilted his head up and then brushed away his hair

His mouth was much wider than most peoples, and some of his teeth were sharp and stuck out and over his bottom lip.

His nose was fairly normal, and his eyes were his eyes.

You just sat amd started pondering why he would want to hide this face at all.

"I'm sorry if you don't like it."

He was fiddling with his fingers and you could see his eyes getting glassy.

"Hey no! Of course I like it! Mezou you are beautiful! There is and never has been anything wrong with you."

You ran your thumbs over his lips and then down his jaw before leaning in and kissing him.

It was your first time kissing him, and his first time kissing anyone.

It was a passionate kiss, your hands wound up in his hair, one of his hands on your lower back, one mid back, one on your face, just pulling you closer to him

When you finally separated you said it.

"Mezou I love you regardless of what you look like. You are still you and that's all I need."

Obviously he said it back and then kissed you again.

Kirishima and you hadn't been dating

Y'all were in that weird zone where you're best friends and you know you like eachother but dont want to mess anything up so you just stay awkwardly flirty friends?

Kirishima was in his intern phase, with Fatgum, and a villain had messed him up pretty good, landing him in the hospital.

He asked everyone not to call you or anything because he didn't want you to panic or worry over a small thing.

Someone (Mina) did call you though because the injuries werent a small thing.

It was during your lunch break you got the call

Kirishima had a concussion, a broken collarbone, damage to the hearing in his left ear, stitches in his head, and a dislocated shoulder.

Mina calls and tells you everything she knows

Kiri used his ultimate move, and stayed like that too long, his whole quirk deactivated for just a few seconds and the villain used the gap as a way to slam him into the ground

His head and shoulder area hit first.

You were panicking without even having her finish.

"Can I come see him? Where is he? Is he okay? Responsive? Is everyone else okay? When did this happen?"

Mina tells you he's back at the dorms and you can come visit but that hes still a little out of it.

Of course you come. You skip the 2nd half of your school day amd race to the UA dorms. You get there and Mina let's you in

You go striaght to his room and there he is all bandaged up in bed, shirtless and bruised playing video games.

"Were you gonna tell me you got hurt? I had to hear it from Mina. Do you understand how worried I get? You're out there fighting serious danger and you just think it's no big deal."

He looked up at you his eyes getting glassy, "Well I know we are friends but I don't see why you care so much. Really I'm not that hurt y/n you shouldn't worry."

You joined him in bed sitting next to his legs.

"Eji, you are more than just my friend. All I want from you is for you to come back to me safe. I just need you to be careful out there so I don't lose you. I- I don't know, I just love you too much to let it go."

He didn't say I love you back, instead he kissed you. He told you I love you afterwards though.

Your self and shoji went out on a small shopping trip to kill tine since it was the weekend and you both had the day off

You wear casually walking around a clothing shop when your boyfriend somehow managed to sneak off

"How did I not see him leave?" You wondered how you didn't see your giant boyfriend sneak off somewhere, you didn't worry since he probably seen something he liked

You kept yourself busy as you browsed through the racks of clothing, trying to find something you'd like. After about 10 mintues of your boyfriend missing you decided to go looking for him, maybe hw needed help finding something

As you walk through the shop you found your boyfriend with a pile of clothing he was asking a shop employee about,

"What size sir?" The employee asked as Shoji gave the measurements but it was his measurements? Why was he holding clothing

"Mezou?" You called as your boyfriend turned around, he looked a little bit embarrassed to he asking for matching clothing to match with you....how sweet

"wear this...it looks good on you" Meszou asked as he handed you a jumper you were describing earlier that you eanted somthing similar in fashion

You were happy that your boyfriend listened to you enough to go out of his way to find the exact item you were looking for, and to want to match? Where did you get a boyfriend like him??

"Awe Mez, thats so cute! Did you want to match with me?" You could see the blush rising from under his mask, you took that as a yes

summary: shoji comforts you after a bad day

“ssshh, don't cry”

shoji held you close, his arms wrapped around gently, as you cried into his chest. despite his words, you couldn't stop crying. once you had started crying, you couldn't stop anymore.

you've had an awful day and everything seemed to be going wrong. and just when you had gotten home, hoping that eating dinner with your boyfriend could help you cheer up a little, you dropped a plate in the kitchen. that was the final straw, causing you to break into tears, as shoji quickly cleared up the mess, so you wouldn't get hurt, before comforting you.

“i-i'm such a mess…”

you cried, as shoji gently wiped away your tears, pressing a kiss onto your forehead. you were so much to deal with, yet he still remained calm. it was a miracle he hadn't gotten sick of you yet…

“that's not true!” shoji pulled away from you and cupped your cheeks, making you look at him. “you're not a mess, you're just a little tired. don't think about you so negatively, please… you're the greatest partner i could ask for and i'm so happy you're here with me. i wouldn't want anyone else!”

shoji's kind words only made you cry more. how did you deserve a guy like him? he was the kindest person you knew and you wish you could show him how grateful you were to have him as well. but for now, all you could do was cry as he held you close. perhaps once you cried so much that you had no more tears left, you could find the right words to thank him, for always being there for you like this…

Honey’s 777 oracle event

Shoji was someone you had always admired, ever since you were teens and he sat next to you in your home room class.

He was a big guy, he always has been, but he wasnt like a typical muscle bound guy, he was calm and emotional, always finding the beauty in every situation.

You remember the first time you saw that side of him, he grew an extra nose just to sniff the flowers that were growing beside the training ground. Your heart seemed to float for a moment at the small act of sweetness when your lives were mostly filled with villains and fighting, that was also when you decided you didn’t want anyone else.

You didn’t tell anyone what you decided that day, just went about your life making sure to notice every other time he did something sweet, growing new limbs and features just to pet a cat, smell a flower, watch a butterfly, and countless other little and beautiful things.

Even now, 10 years later, as you hold one of his hands walking back to your home from the grocery store, he has an eye behind him on a small bird flying beside a larger bird as they seemed to play in the sky.

You smiled and gave his hand a little squeeze, he knows how you feel but only because he caught you watching him once, a small smile on your lips and your eyes sparkling as you witness that side of him. You were 17, better friends by then as you tried to work your way into a friends to lovers thing, and that was it, the moment that changed it all. His cheeks blushed under his mask as he asked if you indeed saw him smell that rose bush when he was supposed to be pretending to be a villain with you for the new first years. You nodded with a smile, a chuckle falling from your lips at how his eyes turned more embarrassed. You walked to his side and took one of his large hands in yours and gave it a squeeze “I love how sweet you are, Shoji” you say and he chuckles softly, a little embarrassed but his hand gives yours a squeeze back, flooding your heart with butterflies.

You’ve come a long way since 17 that’s for sure, but right now, as you unpack your groceries with your love, in a kitchen you share, watching as he makes time to grow an arm to pet the cat as he loads the fridge up with the cold items, you know for sure you wouldn't have anyone else.
