In the autumn of 1883, a paper in the nation's capital reported that "an Iowa woman has spent 7 years embroidering the solar system on a quilt" — to teach astronomy in an era when women could not attend college. Her story.

Workaholics Anonymous
Science Major: Man, I sure wish I had time to enjoy college but I have so much studying and homework to do. At least I'll get an easy high paying job after, right?
Physicist: I think I have a pretty good work life balance (does not, actually) and I think my grad students should have the same work life balance (which is not having that)
Astronomer: I work *about 40 hour weeks, but sometimes there are hours are in the middle of the night 'cause, y'know, stars. But who needs a consistent sleep schedule, really? Not me. I got Redbull.
Geologist: Sometimes I get to spend 15 hours a day wandering through the desert in severe weather conditions looking for cool rocks! also I have to like survey the land or whatever so I can get money
Chemist: Oh, you know, my PI only lets me see my family at night for dinner, then I have to come back and sleep in the lab, but overall I’d say I’m not too stressed.
Physician: Well, I had to work really hard, so why shouldn't everyone else have to work even harder? I'm sure the patients could only benefit from everyone being sleep deprived.
Biologist: I work so much I don’t even remember the last time I wasn’t working.
Science Major: huh?
Biologist: I MUST OBSERVE THE CRAB AT ALL TIMES. I OBSERVE THE CRAB EVEN AS WE SPEAK. IF I DO NOT PUBLISH 60 PAPERS ON CRAB BEHAVIOR BY NEXT YEAR MY COLLEAGUES WILL SENSE MY WEAKNESS AND DEVOUR ME ALIVE, LIKE A PACK OF STARVING CRABS
Computer Scientist: Um… I work from home for at most 8 hours a day then play video games
Biologist: *licks lips*
Computer Scientist (Game Dev): I would murder you if I wasn't so... oh there I go- *passes out from exhaustion (hasn't slept or touched grass in five years)*

Natal Placement: 3rd House Jupiter
(The Thoughtful Wanderer)
With Jupiter comfortably nestled in your 3rd House, you're the epitome of a philosophical soul, brimming with optimism and guided by a deeply rooted sense of convention and thoughtfulness. Your intuition isn't just a hunch; it's a powerful tool that seems to steer you in the right direction. This celestial placement works wonders in expanding your mind, making understanding and learning almost second nature to you.
However, there's a bit of mental restlessness in you, a kind of intellectual wanderlust. Engaging in activities or careers that keep you on the move can be a great way to channel this energy.
Yet, with all these gifts, there's a need for caution. Your energies, vast and vibrant, might scatter if not focused. There's also a slight tendency to drift towards impracticality or a sense of self-contentment that could hinder your growth. Your thinking is big-picture oriented; the details sometimes get lost in the grand scheme of things. Staying grounded and attentive to the finer points can help you make the most of Jupiter's blessings.
*Remember this is generalized, keep an eye out for how your Natal Jupiter is aspected for the real TEA.

Okay, so we all know and love this scene, yeah? But there's a bit more to this (which has probably already been discussed, seeing as it's been like six months and we all have massive amounts of brainrot lol).
Tumblr media
As I'm sure you know, that clustering of dust and interstellar gas in the center of the frame is referred to as "the Pillars of Creation". Also known as the Hand of God, it's a region within the Eagle Nebula. And the Eagle Nebula is located within the constellation Serpens, which translates from Latin to (you guessed it!) "snake". Here's an image of the constellation itself:
Tumblr media
It's actually the only one of 88 constellations (within Western cosmological views) that's split into two pieces: the head of the serpent (serpens caput), as well as the tail of the serpent (serpens cauda), each of which is separated by the constellation Ophiuchus (source). I know it's kind of silly, and sort of a stretch, but it's just interesting to see both the serpentine (Crowley my beloved) and separation (F15 + Crowley’s Fall) motifs play out on a celestial scale.

Welcome, japonsitasarchaeologists, to a new edition in which we will talk about a Trending Topic, since the country of the rising sun is in fashion, we are going to make the most of it and it is not the only topic that they are knowing how to exploit, to make the most of it. - What I am referring to is that fashions are pure business, the most harmful thing we can take to our faces. Before Japan was in fashion there were already many fakes, but now they have doubled and even tripled. We should not believe everything we read on the internet, we should always question things, in this case we are going to sit on two monuments, one located in England and the other in Japan. - The first one is stonehenge: Built in the fourth millennium 3100 B.C., its functions are updated every time, the latest one is that it cannot be used as a solar calendar. The second is the Isedōtai site, located in Akita prefecture, in the Tōhoku region of northwestern Japan, built in the fifth millennium 4000 BC in the final jomon. It was used as a solar calendar and possibly for the summer and winter solstices. - The subject of this publication is not to discuss either in depth, but to criticise the lucid, who place stonehenge and Isedōtai site in the same chronological line which is a fallacy because there is at least 1100 to 1500 years difference approximately between the two constructions. - That is the problem of westernism and eurocentrism, especially the mania of placing everything on a chronological line, the dates are somewhat approximate, as are the time lines. - I hope you liked it and see you in future publications. Have a nice week.
