Once you have downloaded it and you agreed to the terms or something in Java, find “Shimejiee” in the files. You’ll see that it is a ZIP file. Right click then select/click “Extract All”

After extracting you will find a folder named “Shimejiee” right above the ZIP file. Click the folder then you’ll see “conf” “img” and etc

Click “Shimeji-ee”

Then a basic Shimeji will appear and you can play around with it

How to “import”/add the character you want as a Shimeji

If you click “img” you will find pictures of the basic shimeji. If you can’t find a shimeji of the character you want or want to make it yourself, you can save the pictures and draw your character on it using a program of your choice(Make sure to remove the template/basic shimeji you used after you’re done)

If you’re too lazy for that(like me) download the ZIP Files I linked above (The Kazuha, Scaramouche, Aether, Venti, and etc)

If you don’t like any of the characters I linked above then you can try to find one that you like. (Side note: If you want an Enstars,TWST, Paralive character I found none on Twitter so try looking somewhere else. And please tag/tell me if you do find one..! I want them on my screennnn 😭)

Then do the same process

After downloading, extract it, click on the folder, and click “Shimeji-ee” and there you go! The character will drop down and land on the bottom of your screen

If the language is different when you want to like control or something your Shimeji(ex. You can allow your shimeji to be able to clone or not by pressing “Allowed Behaviors”) click the second lowest bar/option and select the language you want (In my case it’s English)

Note

When you think about Luan and Solros, what voices come to mind? Like, if Dreamflower was a TV show, who would you want to voice/play them?

Hmm... Well, since I don't usually watch/interact with a lot of English dubs, I'll give you voices from anime and Japanese seiyuus and their voice roles I imagine coming close to Solros and Luan.

For Solros, I imagine his voice to be a bit higher, but still kind of soft and masculine. The seiyuu who I had in mind is Natsuki Hanae, and I think the closest example would be his role as Kaneki Ken (season 1, since I haven't watched more than that) from Tokyo Ghoul, and Asami Kousei from Your Lie in April.

(other noticeable roles from this seiyuu are Tanjiro from Demon Slayer, Toritsuka from The Disastrous Life of Saiki K, Falco from AOT). His singing voice is also really pretty 😩👌

Here are a couple of examples: Kaneki's voice in the Tokyo Ghoul trailer ; Asami's voice at the beginning of this video.

For Luan, I've really headcanon his voice to sound like Nobunaga Shimazaki's roles. He is my favourite seiyuu and I am deeply in love with his voice, it sounds so comforting. He voices Haru from Free!, Yuki from Fruits Basket, Kazuha from Genshin Impact etc.

Here are a couple of examples from an ASMR CD he's worked with: as Kazuha ; and then here's Shimazaki-san reading a story.

The subtle scuffle of wings flapping away and the slow descent of a black feather caught the princess’ attention, making her rise off the stool before her easel and canvas, wiping the tiny splatters of paint off her fingers and knuckles on a small rag to her side.

Kazuha stepped out into the balcony of her bedroom, not sensing negativeness on the area and feeling confident whatever had been left behind was meant to harm her or the rest within the castle. She flipped open the letter, reading through it without a shift on he expression. Though she found it quite amusing how that little ghoul had thought it necessary to specify the great hadn’t been poisoned.

“‘Merry Christmas’, huh…?”

Kazuha lightly plopped down on the edge of the stone railing and settled the letter on her lap as she turned to unravel the lace holding the box close. She took a peek inside, catching the sugary scent from gift immediately. Retrieving one, she brought it to her mouth and took an bite with delight. She chewed in silence, keeping her eyes on the bitten part of the treat.

A subtle glint of light flashed over her orbs of her eyes and a small smile curved the edges of her lips.
