🌱 what is cycle synching?
in short, cycle synching is coordinating your lifestyle habits with the phases of your menstrual cycle.
🌱 benefits of cycle synching
cycle synching can help you optimize energy levels and improve your understanding of your cycle, which, in turn, can boost estrogen levels and even boost fertility. it can also improve your hormone balance overall, which helps ease stress and period symptoms.
the menstrual phase (days ~1-5)
exercise: since the energy is low during this phase, focus on low-impact movement. this can include yoga, walking, and stretching.
food: focus on comforting and easily digested food. soups, decaf tea, veggies (lots of greens!), etc.
the follicular phase (days ~6-14)
exercise: in this phase, energy begins to rise again. great exercise options can include moderate weight lifting or cardio, jogging, swimming, and pilates.
food: light veggies and fruit and lean protein, such as eggs, salmon, poultry (like turkey), and cheese.
the ovulatory phase (days ~15-20)

moon syncing tip:
stop working during your bleed! i know there are those of you that go to school or go to work and are unable to take days of of work, but if possible, try to take off the first day of your bleed each month. when that’s not possible, do NO EXTRA WORK. create a system in your home where those who occupy your space with you are able to take care of you during that time of the month. if you live alone, plan your meals ahead + clean your home ahead of time. your bleed is meant to be a time to rest for a reason. you’re experiencing multiple bodily functions at once and your body needs to to recuperate so that this time can actually be used as a time for replenishment + rejuvenation. as women, it’s important that we start taking that time of the month very seriously.

hello little feathers! I wanted to make a little morning routine blog post that details what my current routine is and the changes I want to implement by the end of february (and remain consistent with throughout 2024 and beyond). 
current routine: 
𓆩♡𓆪 7:30am - wake up + freshen up
brush teeth  shower  morning skincare routine 
𓆩♡𓆪 8:00am - get dressed (fresh clothes, pastel colours, no pajamas) 
𓆩♡𓆪 8:30am - breakfast (something different every day) + morning matcha 
𓆩♡𓆪 9:00am - work day begins
journal (quote of the day, context of quote, morning mood, word of the day, to-do list/ daily goals)  start working (morning = writing + research)
𓆩♡𓆪 12:00pm - lunch break 
eat  1hr walk 
𓆩♡𓆪 1:15pm - second half of work day begins 
new and revised routine: 
𓆩♡𓆪 7:00am - wake up + freshen up 
brush teeth + water floss 
𓆩♡𓆪 7:30am - morning workout 
10 minute dynamic stretch  15 minute run (i used to run 2 hours every evening but post-concussion syndrome has really kicked me in the ass, so we’re taking it slow) 15 minute pilates (weighted after getting used to unweighted) 10 minute cool down 
𓆩♡𓆪 8:30am - shower + morning skincare routine 
𓆩♡𓆪 9:00am - brekkie and morning matcha 
𓆩♡𓆪 9:30am - work day starts 
journal (gratitude, quote of the day, context of quote, morning mood, word of the day)  writing + research begins 
and so on so forth! 
i realize the 2nd routine delays my workday by 30 minutes, but i work from home and can easily make up the time in the evening, so i don’t really mind. i just like having a nice routine :) 
but those are my goals! cheers to self-improvement <3

100 Days of Holistic Self Care Challenge

Challenge and self care, both these things sound a bit counterproductive together but I think this combination can bring immense growth to my life. I don't think I'd get certain things done unless I challenge myself to. I'm nudging myself to be more mindful and present and calmer. It's about my whole life, my body, my fears, my bravery, everything. I got inspired by @thelastneuron, @mindfulstudyquest and a few others I'm forgetting at the moment.
I'm going through a very stressful time right now and my mental health is in pieces. So here we go.
So here is a list of things that I am going to do in this challenge, it's gonna be
an everyday thing,
one time thing,
a thought I need to revisit, or
something else that I need.
You are veryyyy welcome to join anytime you want. It's alright if you don't wanna join too. This challenge is about comfort but also doing the best for oneself.
I'll be updating the list and adding and taking out certain things. You guys can recommend me things too.
Everyday things:
Waking up before 8 am.
Taking a bath within an hour of waking up.
Eating food/breakfast only after taking a bath.
Prayers/mantra before at every action.
1 hour without stimulation from any gadgets.
Go for a 30 minutes walk everyday.
Skincare before going to sleep.
No stimulation/media 30 minutes before going to sleep.
If I start a task, I'm going to finish it no matter what.
Read 20 pages of a book.
Meditate (guided or otherwise) for 10 minutes.
Do not touch the phone/social media apps/Netflix while studying.

One time things:
Social Media DETOX for a week. (no instagram, no tumblr, no whatsapp, no youtube, no spotify)
No stimulation for a whole day. (no spotify, no social media, no tv)

Thoughts to revisit (journal-ish):
How am I feeling? Am I feeling tired? Why am I feeling tired? Are you okay, Tanishka? Are you fine? What made you sad? What made you tick? How do you feel about feeling this way?
Were you brave today? Did you do something that was out of your comfort zone? Did you conquer your fears? How did you feel when you did conquer your fears?
Are you feeling worthy today? Are you feeling like you deserve your dreams? Why do you feel that you don't? Why do you feel that you do? Prove to yourself that you do.
Did you make any mistakes towards yourself or towards others today? If you did its okay, it's fine. Think about it but this thought, or this action doesn't define you. You are maleable, you are the one who can fold themselves into whoever you wanna be.

Some of us are into leveling up, but with peace as the main aspect (so some things like consumerism and social status matter less). We look to nature to cultivate abundance & engage in a give and take (right relationship).
The holistic leveling-up journey asks one to embrace their higher self and expand their hearts towards nurturing true self-love and pursuing holistic self-care practices. In other words, the journey is about being attentive to the states of your mind, body, and spirit. 
The aim is to learn to be more intentional with your being and the Earth, release the pains from your past, realize your multidimensionality, and grow in your intelligences (emotional, interpersonal, naturalistic, artistic, intuitive, and beyond). 
In effect, all of life is noticed to be in your grasp. The understandings that we are not victims to our reality & the state of our lives is in our hands becomes impossible to ignore. In this place is exactly where we feel activated to create beautiful circumstances for ourselves as we follow the authentic desires of our hearts.
