The Study Room (HBCU!Shuri x Black!F!reader)
Tumblr media
HBCU!Shuri x black!F!reader
Word Count: 2.03k
Series Masterlist
Content: nothing but fluff, first meetings, HBCU!Shuri is a warning in and of itself, slight profanity, usage of “y/n” like…twice lmao
A/N: Oh, y’all didn’t see this coming? Me writing for Shuri? Well, here we are lmao, and I plan on writing under this tag A LOT!
As I’ve stated before, I write with the intention of my oneshots/imagines/etc being inclusive, which means no clear description of hair type/color, skin type/color, etc. A lot of my writing has to do with a female reader, but despite this, I still have a few gender neutral fics. WITH THAT BEING SAID: whatever fanfic I post with Shuri, I will alwayyyssss have a black, female reader in mind. There’s too little for us to enjoy in the world of fanfic, bc even when people say they’re inclusive, they still manage to put subtle details in their fanfic that instantly breaks the immersion for countless black, female, fanfic readers.
I will still be as inclusive as I can with any xShuri writings...but I can already tell you, there will be times where I specify a certain hair type, or a certain custom, or a certain tradition that a lot of non-black people will not relate to...and it’s alright. I have other works on my page that are inclusive enough for y’all to enjoy.
But when I write for Shuri, I write for black women. <333
ALSO, the whole concept of HBCU!Shuri was created by the lovely and oh-so-nice @vargskelegore !
If you want to see more of HBCU!Shuri, PLEASE go check their page out! They’ve done a great service for the black fanfic community <3333
Tumblr media
You had been sitting in the same spot for the last 45 minutes; hands encompassing your head, eyebrows furrowed, and your lip caught between your teeth in frustration. The words on your screen might as well have been in a different language, as you just couldn’t understand or retain anything you read. It was beyond frustrating, especially as the upcoming exam for the class loomed over your head.
You let out a groan, covering your face with your hands. It didn’t matter that other students could see or hear you through the windows that lined the room, because at least half of them were in the same boat as you.
As you let out a sigh and pressed the heels of your palms into your eyes, trying to somehow force yourself to focus, a knock sounded on the door. It opened right as you lowered your hands, your attention going to the door and the person that walked in. Eyebrows furrowed, you readied yourself to explain how you had reserved the room for the next hour only for the words to die right on the tip of your tongue as you met the person’s eyes.
“Oh. I’m sorry…do I have the right room? This is 253, right?”
The person, who you quickly recognized as none other than Princess Shuri (just Shuri to her fellow classmates, something she was adamant about the second she stepped onto campus), pulled her phone out and checked it. Her eyebrows furrowed as she read what you assumed to be the confirmation email of her reservation, and her actions prompted you to do the same.
Still in silence, you picked up your phone from where it lay on the table, quickly pulling up your own confirmation email only to pause at the words you read. Your shoulders dropped.
“Oh, shit. Is this 253? I thought it was 256.”
“Yeah, this is 253. 256 is currently filled with a group of guys who are having a rather intense game of uno, surrounded by enough food to fill a small buffet.”
At her words, you couldn’t help dropping your head into your hands once more, letting out yet another groan. It’d be hard enough getting their attention to ask them to leave, not to mention, they’d probably leave a mess if they did leave which left you with only a few options. You continued to contemplate your next study location until you remembered that you were in the reserved room of a royal family member.
“Oh, my bad. You’re waiting for me to leave and I’m just sitting here, taking up your time. Let me grab my stuff. I am so sorry.”
A small, almost awkward laugh left your mouth as you hurried to gather your things, opting to just shove them into your bag. You hadn’t even finished before she was setting her things down on the table across from you. Your movements stopped, however, as her hand entered your vision.
“No, please. I doubt you’ll want to go in that room after they leave. You are more than welcome to stay here; I don’t have a problem sharing the room. I work quietly, I promise.”
The crooked smile on her face was enough to render you momentarily speechless as you looked at her in surprise. But then her words registered, making you shake your head.
“I couldn’t ask you to do that after already coming in here and taking over-”
Shuri waved her hand dismissively, making a tch sound. She returned to the door and shut it before walking back to the table. Her feet carried her to your side of the table, though, instead of her seat.
Her smile turned reassuring as she looked down at you, and despite the obvious height difference between your prone, sitting figure and her standing on, you didn’t feel threatened or even intimidated in the slightest. Her voice, despite being soft and almost melodic, held a teasing tone to it that made your own smile appear on your face.
“You’re not asking me to do anything; I’m offering to share this space with you. Plus…”
She stepped closer, leaning over your shoulder to peer at your computer’s screen. She let out a soft ‘mmm’, nodding her head.
“I’m also offering my help. I saw how frustrated you were before I came in, and I’m no stranger to Biophysics and Structural Biology.”
Shuri took a step back as you turned your head to look at her, her eyebrows lifting in question.
When you had woken up this morning, you never would have guessed that Shuri, the actual princess of the sovereign country of Wakanda, would be offering to share her study room and offering to basically tutor you.
You’d be a fool to say no to the opportunity.
“That would actually be really helpful,-” You paused as you thought of a way to address her, but she seemed to already notice what you were trying to figure out. The same charming, crooked smile from before appeared on her face as she stuck a hand out towards you. You couldn’t even deny the way your heart basically skipped a few beats as you took her hand.
“Shuri. Just Shuri.”
You replied with your own name in a soft, almost embarrassing and noticeably shaky voice.
She released your hand, and her smile had the nerve to grow wider as she pulled another chair closer to yours. Her body turned towards yours as she sat, and with all the familiarity that would exist between two close friends, she pulled your laptop so it was situated between the both of you.
“So, where’d you leave off?”
The rest of the hour you had originally reserved plus the hour Shuri had reserved was spent with you two speaking about the subject on your screen. At some point, your computer’s screen had faded to black while you two were occupied talking about things ranging from your favorite, and least favorite, meals in the cafe to the places you both favored around campus. It was rather easy to forget that she was literally royalty.
The conversation didn’t lull once, even after you two had packed up and stepped out of the study room. You were both so engrossed in the other that the stares directed at Shuri as you walked through the library went completely unnoticed; or maybe she noticed them but had learned how to ignore them. You certainly hadn’t noticed them.
Night had fallen while you two were inside, and with the realization of this also came the realization that you two would be parting ways. You tried your hardest to ignore the pang of disappointment as you both turned to each other, the smiles from your conversation fading into softer ones.
“Thanks again, Shuri. I feel like I actually have a chance of at least passing this exam.” You let out a soft laugh, one that she returned.
“Oh, I’m sure you’d pass without my help. You’re smart as hell, Y/N. Everyone needs help from time to time, and I have no problem offering mine.”
Her words made your smile widen, and you briefly wondered if she could tell just how much of an effect she had on you. She had to, right? You simply couldn’t believe that she was so charming and so smooth without knowing it.
“Well, I’m glad to hear that, because I’ll definitely be coming back to you. For help with…schoolwork.” The smile on your face almost turned into a grimace at your clunky words, but it relaxed as Shuri took a step forward, holding a hand out.
“Of course. I’ll be there when you need me. Let me see your phone.”
You were grateful that her attention was on your phone; that meant she couldn’t see the way your breath hitched at her words. They were still echoing in your mind as she handed your phone back to you with a smile. A quick glance at it showed that she had just put her number in your contact list along with assigning a contact picture and name that read “Shuri” with a smiling emoji.
A soft chiming sound interrupted the air around you both, and before you could question what it was, Shuri was raising her wrist up to her face.
“Ikumkani wam , do you have a moment of free time? We have some things to discuss.” A strong, female voice came from the bracelet, instantly catching your attention. It held a tone of authority and something close to a reprimand. Shuri, however, actually looked the slightest bit annoyed at the interruption.
“General, I am actually a little busy right now. I’m with a friend,  but-”
Your eyes must have widened almost comically, judging by the way Shuri let out a quiet laugh. However, where she was laughing, you were internally freaking out just a little. You whisper shouted in her direction.
“That’s the general? As in…general of Wakanda’s army? Shuri, you can’t…it must be important! I can wait or text you later tonight.”
Shuri paused, looking at you with an almost unreadable expression before the General’s voice sounded out once again.
“Listen to your friend. Please. This is very important.”
With a sigh and a shake of her head, she pressed a button on the beaded bracelet that circled her wrist before turning to you and saying your name. Her eyebrows furrowed and an apologetic expression came over her face.
“I’m sorry, but I have to go.”
You were shaking your head before she had even finished speaking, quickly reassuring her.
“No, it’s totally alright, I get it. I mean…I don’t get it, because I’m not, you know.” The smile that took over her face was even more blinding than the first one she had given you earlier in the day. There was a fond look in her eyes and she began to back up, her eyes staying connected with yours.
“I’ll text you later, yeah?”
You could only nod, opting to keep your mouth shut lest the sounds of giddiness were to escape. She reciprocated your nod, gazed at you for a few more seconds, and then she was turning and walking away. You stayed in the same spot until her voice grew distant, and only when you couldn’t hear it anymore did you turn in the direction of your own dorm room, your phone clutched in your hand.
It was only when you had gotten halfway to your dorm, replaying the night's events over and over in your mind, did you realize something. She had said that she would text you, yet you were the one with her number. The realization made you quickly unlock your phone and create a new message thread.
You typed out at least 4 different starting sentences before settling on a simple “hey, its y/n. thanks again for your help”, ending it with the same emoji that sat beside her contact name.
It took you only a few minutes to get back to your dorm, and the entire time, you kept subconsciously checking your phone.
She literally has more important things to worry about, girl.
The General called. The General! Of Wakanda’s Army. She’s not studying you right now. Just go upstairs, take a shower, wash your face, and-
The chiming of your phone didn’t go unnoticed for a second before you were eagerly grabbing it. You were grateful that your roommate was staying elsewhere for the night, otherwise, she would have surely been asking question after question upon seeing how quick you were to read a message.
If she were here, she would have most definitely been curious about who was making you smile so hard to the point where your cheeks were physically hurting.
Your eyes scanned the message over and over until it was finally time for you to get ready for bed; but even as you lay in bed a while later, your eyes on their way to shutting for the night, you couldn’t help the small smile that curved your lips.
Shuri: you’re welcome. Same time tomorrow? :)
You: I’d like that, if you’re free
Shuri: for you? I am. See you tomorrow. Goodnight, y/n
You: goodnight, Shuri :)

Obsessed
Summary: Your crush on Bucky may be getting out of control.
Pairing: Bucky Barnes x F!Reader
Warnings: Dramatic Reader. Language. Angst. Fluff. My poor attempts at being Funny.
Word Count: 1.4K I'm physically incapable of making anything short.
A/N: I wrote this in like 2 hours and I don't even know what this is, just... Yeah.
Masterlist
Tumblr media
This is terrible.
This is the worst thing that's ever happened to you.
This is the worst thing that's ever happened to anyone. It's just the most horrible, dreadful, awful thing that could’ve ever happen to yo-
“Would you stop staring at him for fuck's sakes!” Natasha's hissed words make your eyes snap to her and finally away from the metal armed Supersoldier lifting weights. Shirtless.
You don't know when Bucky stopped feeling self-conscious enough to allow him to workout in nothing but a pair of gym shorts, but it has become literal torture for you.
Needless to say, Bucky's current level of undress is making it impossible for you to concentrate on the stretching you're supposed to be doing before your sparring match with Natasha.
But your very thoughtful and not at all exasperated friend makes sure to keep your attention on her during the entirety of our match by thoroughly kicking your ass.
What a lovely best friend you have.
Anyways.
Your entire mood shifts with one not intentionally overheard conversation. Steve enters the gym and goes straight to Bucky, who was putting his weight set down.
“She’s here!” Is all the blonde says to his friend and your heart stops at the way Bucky’s face lights up with a smile, not needing any more information before following Steve out of the gym.
She’s here? Who the fuck is she? Does Bucky have a girlfriend? And most importantly, she’s here? In the Compound?
Natasha can almost see the gears turning in your brain as you make no attempts to move from the mat after she knocked you on your ass for the hundredth time today. You didn’t even seem to notice her hand offering you help to get up, your eyes still looking where Bucky was just a moment ago, staring at nothing in particular while your brain drowns in your overthinking.
Natasha sighs and decides to end the match here, kneeling down in front of you and placing her hands on your shoulders, shaking you gently to snap you out of it.
“Don’t overthink this.” She tells you when she’s sure she has your attention. “It’s probably just a friend visiting.” She tries to comfort you, but you both know that’s highly unlikely.
Bucky has no other friends outside the team. He doesn’t know how to talk to civilians anymore after everything he’s been through, and gave up trying to after the hundredth time he saw fear in a person’s eyes just by recognizing him. So his friend circle now includes the team and the agents of SHIELD that are not intimidated by him. Point is, every friend he has already lives in the Compound.
So who the fuck is here just to see him?
Natasha can see that this is a lost battle, your eyes barely concentrating on her as you start drowning in your mind again. All she can do when you’re like this is try to distract you and keep you out of your head. So she takes your hand and helps you up, leading the way to the common room to watch one of your beloved romcoms together, because that’s how much she loves you.
Big mistake.
“Y/N! Y/N!” The excited high-pitched voice came just seconds after you set foot in the common room. And that’s about the only warning you got before the excited 5-year-old jumped on you, your reflexes thankfully quick enough to catch her.
“Hi, Maguna!” You say while chuckling as the little girl hugs you. “You seem excited today. Did you get into the sugar cabinet again?”
Morgan giggles at your joke and shakes her hand before taking your face in her little hands and dramatically saying, “No! A princess came to visit uncle Bucky! A real princess.”
You frown, confused at what she’s talking about, before you look around the room and finally notice everyone else in it. Pepper and Tony are on the couch, looking at you lovingly as you interact with their daughter.
You love Morgan, she’s like a little sister. You never miss an opportunity to babysit her and you spend as much time with her as you can. She also loves you, out of all the Avengers you’re her favorite, much to everyone’s dismay. She calls them all ‘aunt’ and ‘uncle’, but you’re just Y/N. You’re her big sister, you don’t need a title. Which is why you're the only one other than Tony allowed to call her 'Maguna'.
Then you notice the other people in the room: Steve, Bucky and… Shuri. The fucking Princess of Wakanda, standing in the common room of the Avengers Compound and just smiling at you as you carry Morgan.
You’ve never met Shuri, but you know she played an important part in deprogramming the Winter Soldier out of Bucky, and you’re grateful to her for it. She’s important to Bucky, and you can’t believe you forgot Bucky has Wakandan friends.
You put Morgan down on the ground again and the little girl takes your hand and aggressively steers you towards where Steve, Bucky and Shuri are standing, clearly thrilled to be in the presence of a real life princess.
“Hi, I’m Shuri.” She offers you her hand when you get close enough and you shake it with your free hand while introducing yourself.
There’s a bit of an awkward pause and you’re about to say the first thing that pops into your head when Morgan thankfully saves you by pulling on your hand, making you look at her. She tells you to come close and, chuckling, you kneel beside her so she can whisper conspiratorially in your ear.
“She’s a princess and she’s really pretty, but I still like you better.” She whispers and you can’t help but laugh.
God, you love this little girl.
You smile brightly at her and launch a tickle attack, her adorable giggles filling the room as everyone looks at you two with warm smiles.
Your attention is solely on Morgan, until you unintentionally hear the whispered conversation between Shuri and Bucky.
“So, this is the girl, huh? She’s pretty.” Shuri says and your heart skips a beat.
You glance at them as discreetly as you can while still tickling Morgan, only to find Bucky looking at someone behind you. You turn around less carefully and see Sharon just entered the room, and she's also looking at Bucky with a smirk. You quickly return your attention to Morgan, but your mind is going a thousand miles a minute.
Of course he’d like someone more like Sharon. She’s pretty, she’s talented, she’s a total badass and she’s not afraid to go after what she wants.
She’s not a mass of anxiety in the shape of a woman that overthinks everything and becomes a flustered mess every time she’s even near Bucky.
It’s time to admit it to yourself: Bucky just doesn’t see you like that and you need to move on.
Natasha is right, your obsession with Bucky needs to end.
What you don’t see is Bucky almost glaring at Sharon because he knows damn well why she’s smirking. She came in just before Shuri whispered to Bucky, when he was very intent on looking at you with heart eyes as you played with Morgan.
Just before you looked at him, Bucky noticed Sharon and he had to hold in a groan at her because he knows that she’s never gonna let him live this down.
Both Sharon and Steve have tried really hard to convince Bucky that you like him back and he should make a move on you. But Bucky, being as stubborn as they come, never believes them.
He obviously makes you uncomfortable, you’re always stuttering when he’s around and you avoid eye contact whenever possible. He’s just glad that you can stand his presence enough for the two of you to work together when necessary and to hang out with the rest of the team without problems.
So he just enjoys looking at you from a distance. He loves watching you play with Morgan and his thoughts always run wild with images of you playing like that with kids that are yours and his.
But he knows that’s never going to happen. Why would you like a damaged, PTSD ridden soldier that can’t even make it through the night without waking up from a nightmare? No, that’s definitely not your type.
Bucky accepts the truth: He doesn’t deserve you and you don’t see him like that anyways.
It doesn’t matter that Sam thinks he’s obsessed, that won’t stop him from looking at you whenever he’s lucky enough to get a glimpse of his little ray of sunshine.

THE ATTRACTIVE THINGS SHURI UDAKU DOES
Tumblr media
keeps an eye on you. whether it be physically or virtually, shuri always knows where you are. she keeps tabs on your whereabouts; this became a very important thing for her after the passing of her mother. she tries to not be overbearing, but she likes to know where you are in case something happens/emergencies. and, honestly, you don't really mind. you could even say that you like how protective she is—it makes you feel loved and looked after.
is physically verbal. now, i'm not sure this makes sense lmao BUT i think her body language is very readable, and that is what i mean by 'physically verbal.' like, if she wants something, it'll be pretty obvious; she'll either grow clingy or has a very specific expression on her face. going off of that, sometimes she'll look stare at you really fucking intensely. most of the time she doesn't mean to, it just happens (but i know y'all saw how she was staring at riri in wakanda forever!!). PLUS she enjoys the way you can't stand still when she gives you the look.
invites you as her plus one. no matter what it is, if shuri has to attend, chances are she's convinced you to go as well. in addition to liking your company, she's glad that she doesn't have to face whatever event she's going to alone. you keep her grounded and she likes that.
always has an arm around you. assuming that you're shorter than her (for the sake of this post shuri is 5'9 like her comic book counter part), shuri will take any chance that she gets to hold you against her. she's a big fan of the way your body feels pressed against hers. but she also loves when you take the initiative and, for example, back-hug her while she's working in the lab. honestly, she's just a big softy when it comes to physical contact, so you should definitely reciprocate her loving touches.
makes you gadgets. i like to think that one of her love languages is gift-giving, so with that being said, she would be more than happy to make you your own version of kimoyo jewelry and teach you how to properly use the beads. additionally, if you are involved in a more dangerous field of work, she'll see through that your weapons always function to the best of their abilities, with constant tuning and updates that follow.
shares her culture with you. this is probably one of her absolute favorite things. next to teaching you how to make wakandan food, she adores teaching you traditional dances—it's an excuse to have fun with you and let you see a deeper side of her. shuri cherishes the smaller moments where she has your absolute attention as she shows/teaches you something.
stretching after she's been idle for a long period of time. with the way she's constantly hunched over something in her lab, seeing her finally stand and stretch her stiff limbs is one of your favorite things. you love the sliver of toned abdomen that gets exposed and the hint of a hidden adam's apple that flashes in exposure as she rolls her neck.
geeking about science-y things. she is the absolute cutest when she gets all excited about her experiments and projects. sometimes she'll even let you help her and then she gets to guide your hands and do all that cliché couply shit in the lab. BUT the hugs she gives out of excitement are so nice. the minute she sees you after a successful trial her grin will grow probably ten times bigger (if that's even possible) and she'll hug you super tightly. you adore this side of her so so SO much.

91% Function
Tumblr media
Pairing: Shuri x Black Fem!Reader
Warnings: 18+ content, dirty talk, praise kink, vibranium strap, lesbian sex
Word count: 2.1k
Translations: Yeyona shit yesondo kakhulu endakha ndayifumana = That’s the sexiest shit I have ever seen, Hayi = No, Sithandwa = My love, Ndiyakudinga = I need you, Ukuya esihogweni kunye nehempe emhlophe = To hell with that short white man, Ewe, sithandwa sam. Ndiyazi = Yes, my love. I know, Molo kwintombazana yam entle = Hello to my beautiful girlfriend
A/N: Please like, comment, and share!
Your calmness slipped with each passing hour. Your girlfriend, Shuri, was supposed to be back from America hours ago. This was nothing new to you. Shuri traveled quite often, especially now that she was Black Panther, but she had been gone for 20 days, 11 hours, and 36 minutes.
You missed her terribly.
And you ached for her deep inside.
You both agreed not to pleasure yourselves until she returned. You were doing well until around day 10 when you discovered new footage of Shuri in Massachusetts, leaping across a tall building in her panther suit alongside Riri as they both took down a rogue CIA member.
Her swift, confident glides made you proud of her, but also frisky. You two have always had great sex, but since she took the heart-shaped herb, the sex shifted into something borderline astronomical.
You tapped a bead on your kimoyo bracelet, admiring your half naked figure in the full-length mirror beside your bed as you waited for Shuri to answer.
“Molo kwintombazana yam entle.” Shuri answered on the third ring.
“Where are you?” You blurted, unwilling to let her cuteness distract you.
“I am about thirty minutes out from the river border.”
“Thirty minutes?! Shuri, you were supposed to be here two hours ago.”
“Ewe, sithandwa sam. Ndiyazi,” Shuri sighed, “I got caught up in a conversation with Agent Ross and lost track of time.”
“Ukuya esihogweni kunye nehempe emhlophe!” You rolled your eyes, flopping dramatically onto the bed.
“Bast, (Y/N)!” Shuri admonished as she failed to contain her snickers.
“Oh, you think it’s funny?”
“Yes, you do get more agitated than usual when I am away for more than a week.”
“Ndiyakudinga.” You whined.
“I need you, too. I apologize for being late. I will make it up to you.”
“How?”
“With Riri’s help I was able to get the apparatus to 91% function. Figured we could test it when I arrive?”
You sat up instantly on the bed, beyond impressed. You two had been throwing around ideas for improving the vibranium strap's versatility for a while now.
“Wow, 91%! So, that means there’s a good chance that—“
“—That you will feel what I feel and I will feel what you feel.”
“Shit.” You cursed, moaning lightly as you rubbed yourself through your yellow lace panties.
“Mhm.”
“Bast, I don’t know which position we should try first.” You breathed, sliding your panties to the side for direct access.
“Well, hands and knees do seem to be your personal favorite.” She added, chuckling lightly.
You spread your legs a little more before dipping a finger inside your slick hole. You could not wait any longer. Three weeks was your limit. You were a touch starved mess.
“Do not start without me, sithandwa.”
“What? I’m not.” You lied.
“I can hear your finger sliding in and out of you, Y/N.”
Damn, you forgot how much stronger her hearing was now. Oh, well.
“You hear how wet I am for you?”
“Yes, I hear it,” Shuri purred, rubbing at her thigh to distract from the pulsation under her  pants, “I cannot wait to taste it.”
The sultry inflection of her voice was enough to drive you to slide a second finger in, moaning louder this time. “I can’t wait to feel you inside me.”
Shuri gasped, “I know you did not just add another fing—“
“—Mmm, it feels so good.” You cut her off, whimpering as you felt the edge nearing.
“Take your fingers out, Y/N. Now.”
“Hayi.” You disobeyed.
“No?” The sheer shock in Shuri’s voice would have made you laugh if circumstances were different. She sounded scandalized.
“I’m about to cum, Shuri.”
“Do you remember what happened the last time you were being a disobedient brat?”
You did remember which is why you angled your two fingers and thrusted them faster inside you. Shuri had you calling on every god in existence that night. The memory alone had you throbbing.
“You better answer me, Y/N.”
Your climax was approaching and little did Shuri know, she was talking you up and right through it.
“Y/N.” Shuri repeated, growling into her kimoyo beads and that sent you over the edge.
You came as hard and as loud as you wanted. Consequences be damned. You had been holding that in for three long ass weeks. The orgasm was nice, but without your girlfriend you were always left ravenous. Shuri was silent for a beat, listening to your ragged breaths and sinful moans. You shivered as you pulled your fingers out and brought them up to your mouth to lick them clean.
“Prepare to take every inch I give you.” Shuri hissed. You could hear her breaths become harsher. Oooh, she was mad. Good.
The last thing you heard was Shuri swearing and one of the Dora Milaje responding to Shuri's question about their whereabouts.
“We will be home in seven mi—“
The combination of the abrupt silence and your girlfriend's last words sent a sweet chill down your spine. The thought of your impending punishment made you wetter. Even though, the icy tone of Shuri's warning had you swallowing the nervous lump in your throat. You knew she meant business.
You sobbed a moan while hot tears started to pool in your eyes as you were denied yet another orgasm. Shuri pulled out of you just as you were about to bust. She left you lying there on your back as she moved to sit on the edge of the bed.
She looked back at you, enjoying the drenched, sensitive mess spread out before her. Looking into her eyes, you could not suppress the ache and frustration you felt. For the fourth time, she has pushed you to the precipice, only to yank you back at the last second. You were going to wither away if you didn’t come soon.
“Don’t look at me like that. You brought this on yourself.” She shrugged, looking down at the strap attached to her. She stroked it loosely as it was slick with your wetness.
“Please let me cum.” You begged as you sat up on your knees.
“Come to me.” Shuri called over her shoulder.
You crawled to the edge of the bed, stopping beside her. She turned her face toward you, grinning as she saw the desperation in your eyes.
“Ride me until you cum.” She gestured for you to straddle her lap and you obeyed, moving with an eager quickness.
You both moaned softly as you eased your pussy down the length of the strap. The model was only at 91% and it was revealing to you both various levels of pleasure you thought were impossible to achieve.
You began to bounce slowly, but quickly found your pacing, up and down, swirl and grind. You lowered your gaze to Shuri, silently pleading with her to touch you. With a playful glint in her eyes, she looked up at you.
“Baby, please touch me.” You huffed, bouncing harder.
Usually when you were riding your girlfriend she would grip your waist to help you move up and down, suck your nipples, or smack your ass. SOMETHING! She wasn’t doing anything. She was leaned back, both palms spread against the bed as she watched you fuck yourself onto her. It drove you crazy when she didn’t touch you and she fucking knew it.
“Obviously you no longer need my help to get you there.”
“But I do need you, baby. Please help me cum.”
“Tough.” Shuri said, not moving an inch.
You pinched her shoulder in frustration and she just laughed at you, unfazed.
Fine. If she wanted to play like that then so be it.
You shoved two of your fingers in your mouth and sucked on them before bringing them to massage your clit. Your eyes fluttered closed as you threw your head back in pleasure and moaned loudly.
“Fuck, Shuri. You feel so good inside of me.”
You knew she loved when you were vocal about how she made you feel during sex and would eventually touch you.
“No one could ever fuck me like you do,” you continued, “I love the way you fuck me.”
The cocky grin she was sporting faltered as she let out a deep moan, soon after she rolled her hips up to meet your vigorous bounces.
A climax tore through your stomach as soon as Shuri bent forward to capture your rigid nipple in her warm mouth, and you threw your head back and whimpered.
You were only given a few spare moments to catch your breath before Shuri picked you up and pounded into you against the wall.
Sheer unadulterated euphoria flowed through you. You were so sex dazed that you couldn't recall how many times you came in the last thirty minutes, but Shuri was still not through with you. Sweat was the only barrier between the two of you. Your passion for her only deepened with each carnal kiss and perfectly calculated thrust.
You were now on your hands and knees, chestnut thighs shaking like a cheap, synthetic wig on a windy night. The noises of pleasure that escaped your lips were so loud and obscene you took it upon yourself to shove your face into an orange satin pillow. You knew your throat was going to be sore and your voice would be gone come tomorrow. Still, you didn’t care. Shuri was fucking you too damn good for you to be silent.
“Thank me while I fuck you.” Shuri grunted as her hand came down, smacking your plump ass, making the flesh jiggle from the ample force.
“Aaah! Th—thank you! Thank you!” You whimpered as you rocked back onto her.
With her free hand, Shuri gripped your throat and pulled you up, bringing your sweaty back to rest against her bare chest. She slowed her thrusts and ground into you slowly as she trailed delicate kisses across your cheek and down the neck to your shoulder.
“You always take me so well, Y/N.”
You could barely form a word so you just nodded. She knew all too well what her praises did to you.
“If only you listened as well as you took me.”
Shuri kissed your ear and nibbled on your earlobe before whispering, “Are you going to be good from now on and listen?”
“Yes.” You vowed, gasping as Shuri began to rub tight circles around your clit.
“Yes, what?” The deepness of her lust filled voice never failed to send you into a frenzy.
“Yes, Panther. I promise.” You groaned.
“That’s what I like to hear.” She panted.
“Shuri, please,” you pleaded as she rubbed your clit even faster, “I can’t cum again.”
“Mmm, I think you can give me one more. Shall we try the highest pulsation?” Shuri pressed on the side of the strap twice, bringing it to level five. You cried out in pleasure, not only because the ability to feel what Shuri was feeling intensified, but also because she brushed against your g-spot over and over.
Shuri chuckled as she felt your walls clench around her, “Go on,” she encouraged as you squirmed, “Be a good girl and cum one last time for me.” The vibrations from her next stroke shot throughout your entire body. Almost like receiving a slight magnetic jolt.
You let out an ear piercing scream that was definitely heard throughout the palace. You have never experienced an orgasm like this before. You came everywhere. All over your thighs, Shuri’s thighs and the bed. You made a mess. The intensity of your orgasm took Shuri by surprise as well, causing her rhythm to falter once she realized that you were squirting.
“Yeyona shit yesondo kakhulu endakha ndayifumana.” Shuri praised as she shoved you down into the mattress with one hand while the other tightened on your waist. Her euphonious moans grew louder as she drove into you wildly, chasing her own orgasm.
Shuri came with a cry, her thighs shook against the backs of yours. You were still trembling as your knees gave out and you sagged against the bed. She pulled out of you and flopped down next to you.
You both breathed shakily, warm bodies completely spent. You mustered all the strength you had left to turn onto your side so you could face her. Of course, she was already on her side, smirking at you.
“So,” Shuri cleared her throat as she scooched closer to you, resting her hand on your waist, “how are you feeling?” You wanted to roll your eyes at the smugness in her voice but that simple action required energy you didn’t have at the moment.
“If you’re ever walking outside and hear a rustling in the bushes, don't worry about it. It’s just me.” You enlightened her as your cunning amber eyes peered into her haughty walnut pupils.
Shuri’s eyes crinkled as she bit her bottom lip to stifle a laugh, shaking her head fondly at you. She thought she was used to your post sex outbursts by now, but every now and then you stumped her.

--𝗪𝗛𝗢 𝗗𝗢 𝗬𝗢𝗨 𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗡𝗞 𝗬𝗢𝗨 𝗔𝗥𝗘?
(requested by anon)
Shuri x black fem!reader.
Tumblr media
𝗜𝗡 𝗪𝗛𝗜𝗖𝗛 :: you meet an old rival in Shuri's lab, and all hell breaks loose-though you decide to not tell Shuri.
Tumblr media
--𝗬𝗢𝗨 𝗪𝗔𝗟𝗞 𝗧𝗛𝗥𝗢𝗨𝗚𝗛 the big glass doors, your airpods vibrating due to your loud music. You had just came back from a workout clearly. You wore a purple set that came with a sports bra and leggings. Your comfortable sneakers lifted made a pitter patter sound as you looked around for Shuri.
For some reason she was not there.
"Griot-"
"You looking for Shuri?" A voice asks.
You turn around and remove one airpod from your ear. "Umm..yeah." you give her a tight lipped smile and take a look at her. She looked familiar. From her auburn curls to her light skin.
"I'm sorry--you look soo.."
"Familiar? Is your name y/n?"
You then realised who it was. Her name was Anna,Alana, Aaliyah? You guys were old friends in school, but cut eachother off after an argument.
"Youre- Aaliyah is it?"
She nods slowly as she looks you up and down enviously, glaring at your glorious figure.
"Err..Shuri will be here in a few, im pretty sure she's on break or something." She sucked in a breath as she said it. Weird.
"Thanks." You smile at her and she just looks at you. You put your airpod back in and walk past her, feeling her gaze linger on you as you walk.

--𝗬𝗢𝗨 𝗪𝗘𝗥𝗘 𝗡𝗢𝗪 out of your gym clothes, you wore some casual jeans and a cute sweater to match. You sat at one of the lab tables as you watched Shuri work on a project, Aaliyah helping her. You noticed that She'd giggle at almost everything she'd say, and nudge her shoulder slightly so you could see.
Shuri left the lab desk to check the time on her phone. "Okay, sthandwa i have to go now. Aaliyah can you finish the sequence?"
Aaliyah nods and bats her lashes at her.
She gives you a quick kiss on the cheek, grabs her stuff and leaves. That leaves you and Aaliyah. Maybe you should stay, to just catch up with her. She could have changed.
The awkwardness was so..loud. Though it was so silent.
"So you and Shuri, huh?" She asks as she continues to work on the sequence, still having her back to you.
"Yeah, for about a year now." You reply as you get up from the desk you were once sitting on.
"I don't know how you managed to bag that." She chuckles.
"Excuse me?" You walk over the lab table she was working on. "What did you just say?"
"Oh..nothing..I was just-"
"First of all Aaliyah-dont think that I'm not afraid to check you like I did once before."
"I'm just surprised that she chose you, that's all." She says as she walks passed you , clashing into your shoulder in the process.
"Chose?" You scoffed.
"Move." She mumbles as she goes to the ipad sitting on the table on the other side of the lab.
"Aaliyah I dont get why you're acting like this-"
"You're ruining my concentration." She walks back to the desk , except with some water in her hand.
She purposely pushes into you , making the water spill all down your sweater.
"Who do you think you are?" You made a stank face. You had really thought she changed, but shes still the jealous and immature person she was before.
"I told you you're ruining my concentration."
"I'm out." You kissed your teeth as you said it, grabbing your stuff.
"Bitch." She grumbled as she turned around, going back to the sequence.
"Dont bitch me." You said as you walked out.
"Weirdo." You mumbled.
Later, you were at home with Shuri, thinking about the encounter that happened later before. "--did you catch up with Aaliyah?" Your lover asked as she got into bed with you.
You paused for a minute - and then the wrong words got out before you could stop yourself.
"Yeah, it was fine." You give her a tight lipped smile. You knew she hated when you lied, but you freaked out and did the total opposite of what you were supposed to.
"I'm tired. I think im gonna go to bed early." You say as you turn off the bedside lamp and turn your back to her, not giving her a chance to reply.
"Um..goodnight love." She whispered as she grabbed her book from the nightstand.

--𝗢𝗣𝗘𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗧𝗛𝗘 doors to wakandas most popular gym, you look around to where you can start your stretches. You wore the same thing as yesterday, except it was black, and you wore some Nike socks with converse.
You go to your favourite spot, only to see a girl with auburn curls doing stretches there already.
She had felt your presence, so she turned around. It was aliyah. Damn it.
"..aliyah." you roll your eyes. "I didnt know you go to the gym here." You say as your lips curve into a straight line.
You turn on your heel to go somewhere else, only to find a better spot. You start your stretches to not notice that people were stopping to look at you.
It seemed like Aliyah noticed, and she walked over to you, knocking your gallon water bottle over your mat in the process.
"Aliyah whats your fucking problem?" You raise your voice as you get up. "I'm sorry-it was-"
"You still haven't changed. You're still the jealous, manipulative person you were before. I really thought we could start over." You scoff as you.
"Done pissed me off." You say as you grab the water bottle, close the lid and pick up your mat.
"I knew something was off." A voice said that certainly wasn't aliyah's. You turn around to see Shuri. "I wanted to go with you to the gym-but I walked in to see this." She sniffed at Aliyah.
"Shuri-I-"
"Its Princess to you. Don't bother coming back to the lab tomorrow." She looked at her as if she was beneath her.
"Lets go."
You both leave the gym, and Shuri drowns you with questions.
"Why didn't you tell me?" She asks. "I don't know.. I just freaked out i guess." You mutter.
"Know that I'll believe you over anyone. If the whole world was against you, then I'd be by your side."
You nod and smile at her.

Peter Parker had to always have something in his hands, and he recently flourished an obssesion withh video games. it kept his hands busy and supposedly help with his reflexes.
but its been hours, and there is only so long you can go without disturbing him. he was proped on his chair with this legs maspread. his shirt was nowhere to be found, displaying his abs. his hands looked so concentrated and quick playing with the conrol.

he glanced at you, locking his arms around your hips
you gently kept bouncing and rolling until you made eye contact. he wasn't even playing anymore, just watching you with a very laid back expression
you soflty bite down his body, trailing your tongue
he was very well done with his game.

Fandom: Marvel

Word Count: 1,071
Category: Fluff
A/N: @bandshirts-andbooks this is for you, I don't know if you remember but literally forever ago you sent me a request for platonic!Shuri and reader and because I can't read I didn't see the word platonic so I said I wasn't comfortable writing for her. Ngl it's 100% haunted me since I was going through old requests and realized that I'd completely missed the word platonic lmao, so here is a fun and sweet fic that I hope you like! Sorry for my terrible reading comprehension lmao
Putting work into an AI program without permission is illegal. You do not have my permission. Do not do it.
I staggered out of the building, head throbbing, sunlight burning my eyes. I almost tripped on the first of the stairs and did a header down the whole set, but thankfully, someone else reached out to steady me before I could.
"Y/N! Are you alright?"
I turned, blinking blearily at Princess Shuri, one of my best friends in the whole world. She stared at me, concern written across her face as I took a deep breath in and out.
"Is it over? Is it really over?" I asked, my voice croaky from lack of use. Shuri nodded.
"Yes. It is really, truly, completely over."
"Oh thank God," I sighed, flopping back dramatically. Shuri laughed, guiding me over to a retaining wall outside the school where we could sit together shoulder to shoulder while I recovered.
I'd just finished my last AP test of my last year of high school, after a grueling two weeks filled with four-hour tests. It had been literal hell, and had almost killed me, hence the current brain fog. But I'd made it. And now, I never had to take another one of those stupid things as long as I lived.
"Come on," Shuri said, standing and holding out a hand to me after giving me a few minutes to recover. "You cannot sit on this wall in a stupor all day."
I scoffed. "Watch me."
"No! We have fun things to do! You survived your last round of testing, we should be celebrating!"
That peaked my interest enough to get me to sit up straighter. Shuri grinned, and I sighed, giving all the way in with an eye roll. I slid off the retaining wall, landing on the sidewalk next to Shuri and trying to muster as much energy as I could.
"Alright, Your Highness, you're in charge, because I don't have the brainpower left to contribute. Where to first?"
"Just follow me!"
Shuri took off down the sidewalk, smiling and laughing under the sunny Southern California sun, and her energy was infectious. A smile spread across my own face as I followed her, and with every step in the opposite direction of my school, I felt my strength returning.
Shuri led me to the Santa Monica pier, site of a scene from one of our favorite movies, Hannah Montana: The Movie. We wandered up and down the pier, grabbing snacks and taking ridiculous pictures together, then made our way into Pacific Park. We rode the rollercoaster, the Ferris wheel, and did every single other thing that looked remotely interesting until the sun started to set.
"Shuri, you are a literal lifesaver," I said as we strolled towards the end of the pier together. "Seriously, I think I would've just been catatonic for the rest of the day if you hadn't been here to pull me out of my funk."
She laughed. "I am glad I could help! It's been fun to be in California with you."
"Agreed. Couldn't imagine a better start to the summer."
We shared a smile, clinking our bubble teas together as we turned to watch the sun sink slowly into the ocean. Finally, once it got dark to the point that the lights of Pacific Park glowed as bright as the stars behind us, we turned and headed for home.
Shuri was staying with me and my family while she was in town, and as soon as we walked through the door, I felt a wave of exhaustion crash over me. My shoulders slumped, and I let Shuri take the lead as we wandered through the kitchen.
"Okay! So I thought we could make some popcorn and have a movie marathon to finish the night-"
She stopped mid-sentence as she turned around to smile at me and found a zombie smiling back. She huffed a laugh, a small smile coming to her face.
"...Or maybe we could do facemasks and watch something shorter, then go to bed."
"The second one," I said, nodding. "But let's keep the snacks part."
"Deal!"
Shuri and I loaded up on all our favorite foods, then headed upstairs. Thankfully, it was a Friday, so we could stay up late without me having to worry about going to school tomorrow.
We picked out facemasks, then decided on watching Wizards of Waverly Place from my queen sized bed with her laptop. The Wakandan tech got a higher quality image than even our TV downstairs, and we never had to wait for it to buffer.
My phone timer went off a little ways into the episode, telling us it was time to take off the facemasks. We took even more dumb pictures together of our faces in the mask before removing them, rubbing in the remaining serum as we flopped back into bed. We snacked for the rest of the episode, and I made it through without falling asleep. Once it ended, Shuri closed her laptop and shut off the lights as I sank down underneath the covers.
"Goodnight, Y/N!" she said as she climbed in on her side. I sighed and muttered a goodnight back. Then, even though I was quickly losing the battle to stay awake a second longer, I spoke up again, holding true to the sleepover tradition of continuing to talk after saying goodnight and shutting off the lights.
"Shuri?"
"Hm?"
"Thank you for today," I said. "Seriously, AP test season sucks, and knowing we'd get to celebrate and have fun on the other side of it is the only reason I didn't just draw a cat on the DBQ page of my AP History test and call it a day."
Shuri laughed. "I won't lie, I would have liked to see your cat drawing. But I'm glad I could help you get through this. I had a lot of fun, too."
"Wakanda's next, alright?" I said. "Now that I'm done with classes, there's nothing stopping me from coming for a visit this summer."
"Deal! There are so many things I want to show you in person. T'Challa will not know peace as long as we're in the palace together."
I laughed, opening my eyes enough to share a smile with my best friend. We did our handshake, and then I rolled over and closed my eyes again, ready to go to sleep for real.
"I'll see you in the morning, Shuri," I sighed. She huffed a laugh.
"I don't expect to see you before one in the afternoon. But I will see you tomorrow."

In Xhosa-
Unjani- How are you?
Ndiphilile- I’m fine
In Yucatec Mayan-
In yaakunaj- my love.
Summary: Shuri’s partner is sent to retrieve shuri from Talokan, instead they fall for Shuri’s captor.
You stood at the edge of the water, ready to begin your
mission to retrieve your love, the sole heir to the Wakandan throne. The pressure was on, but you remained calm as always. As you began your dive, the chill of the ocean’s depth enveloped you. The silence clears your mind, giving you a chance to review your gameplan. As soon as you make contact with the princess, the both of you will make your escape.
You reached your destination after what felt like an
eternity in the darkness, a bright light near the bottom of the ocean. You could faintly hear the princess’ voice from the opening. There was no turning back.
As you dropped into the cave, you made contact with
princess Shuri, speaking freely with an enemy soldier. Your presence was quickly detected. As you drew your weapons, fully prepared to fulfill your mission by any means, you realized you were vastly outnumbered. Several Talokan soldiers encircled you, weapons drawn. You kept your gaze on the princess, her mouth covered by the soldier that had conversed with her. Though she could not speak, her eyes pleaded with you to stand down. You knew you had made a mistake. Retracting your weapons, you knelt promptly, bowing your head in an attempt to ease the tension. As you looked around, you noticed the beauty of your location; it wasn't just a natural cave, it was meticulously constructed. The soldiers disarmed themselves as familiar winged feet entered your view. The enemy. He spoke an unfamiliar language, and almost immediately the soldiers fled, leaving just the three of you in the cave. He took your face in his hands, examining your features with an unfamiliar softness in his eyes. It was only now you got a clear look at the enemy. He had strong dark features, with a distinct longing in his eyes, not at all like the description of a malevolent god. Shuri rushed to your side, lifting your oxygen mask to speak with you clearly.
“What the hell were you thinking? I had it under
control.”She questioned, clearly upset. The only thought on your mind was that your princess was unharmed.
You held her face softly, pressing your forehead to hers.
“Unjani?? You’re alright?” You breathed, worry coating
your voice.
“Ndiphilile, they have taken good care of me here.”
a strong voice interrupted your moment.
“Princess, who’s your friend?” He asked, raising his
brows at the entire exchange.
The princess turned to him, asking for a moment of
privacy. Instead you divert your attention to him.
“Shuriiii, you didn’t tell me our enemy was so chiseled,”
you joked in an attempt to lighten the mood.
It was true though, he was gorgeous. You approached
him cautiously, feeling his eyes on you and loving the attention.
“Can I touch it?” You gushed, locking your eyes on his
armor.
He nodded, humoring your curiosity. You admired the
detailing of his shoulder pieces, running your fingertips over the designs before drawing your attention to his cape. Shuri glared at him, but he just smirked back, clearly enjoying your admiration.
“Namor, don’t you have something better to do?” She
protested, clearly jealous of the affection you gave him.
“No, I have all the time in the world”, he teased,
“especially for a pretty woman’s attention”.
Your face flushed at the compliment.
“Mmh, looks like the attraction is mutual,” you added,
catching on to Shuri’s annoyance.
She rolled her eyes at the comment, rising from her
spot on the floor. You finished gushing over Namor’s garments just in time to catch the furious princess approaching you. Namor, catching onto the game you were playing, slyly wraps his arm around you, pressing your back to him.
“What’s with the attitude princess? I’m just being
friendly to our guest” he jeered, flashing faux innocent eyes at the woman.
“‘Our guest’ happens to be taken already”, Shuri
retorted, taking your hands in hers, still glaring at the man.
“Oh I’m sure she doesn't mind, do you in yaakunaj?” He
spoke, taunting the princess.
“Mmh, not at all, besides I’m in no rush to leave..” you agreed, pressing into him even more.
She shifted her gaze from him to you.
“Since you want to make this a competition..” she spoke, lifting her hands to your face, glancing up at Namor while taking your lips.
This game was just getting started. As soon as your lips
parted, the man took his turn, leaning down to kiss you while the jealous princess watched. He snickered at her pouting face, grabbing your hand and leading the three of you to his living quarters.
“This is gorgeous, Namor”, you gasped, in awe of the artworks and walls lined in gold.
“It is”, he pulled you back into his arms before kissing you again.
This time you ran your hands up his chest with the same admiration you gave to his armor, pushing him towards the bed and motioning for Shuri to join you. She accepted the challenge, joining the both of you on bed and beginning to unzip your wetsuit. Namor adjusted you on his lap before moving his hands towards your thighs. Sensing his advances, she began kissing your neck, pulling your suit off your shoulders. Becoming impatient, you aided her in undressing you, discarding the suit and rest of your clothes on the floor near the bed. You straddled the god again, eyeing Shuri while she undressed. Namor, sensing your attention fading, took the opportunity to grind you on his lap.
“Oh cmon, you can do better than that..” you teased, prompting him to buck his hips harder.
The sudden movement throws you off balance, you fall
forward, hands resting on either side of his head, face to face with him. The sudden closeness makes you pause, until you feel familiar hands slide up your back.
“Miss me?” She whispered, pressing her bare chest against your back.
Her hands crossed to the front of your body, until
resting on your inner thigh.
“Not much of a competition if you just watch, princess”, Namor urged.
“Why don't you help her loosen up?”
Shuri glared at him, but obliged. Her hands stretched
down between your thighs, aiding him.
“Cmon, tell me you want it..” she teased.
There was no hesitation when you responded to Shuri,
the eager begging flowing from your lips like a waterfall.
Shuri smirked and slid her fingers up your slit feeling how wet you were.Your body shivered as she rolled her finger over your clit.
“Look at how wet you are for your princess.” Shuri said, sinking her fingers into you.
“Oh-“ the feeling for her fingers inside of you was almost sudden but not unwelcome.
“You’re doing good getting her ready for me.” Namor said his eyes focused on the way Shuri’s fingers disappeared into you. Even as you whined and moaned on top of namor your eyes could never leave him. His gaze shot up from what Shuri was doing and moved to your lips.
“So pliable to your enemy, makes me question you..” Shuri whispers, her lips grazing your ear. You turn your head to address her, but a warm hand around your neck stops you. Namor turns your face back towards him.
“Eyes on me, alright?”, you nodded pathetically, his grip inescapable.
“Good, open up a bit..”, he asserted. You obeyed and he slid his hands down, removing Shuri's fingers from you.
“I hope the princess prepared you well.” He said before lining himself with you and pushing the head in.
“God he's big-“ you thought, struggling to ease yourself on to his dick.
You gasped as you sank onto his lap, shocked by the sudden fullness. Shuri sat up pulling you with her. This new position allowed you to lean your back against her. Her hands trail up from your waist to your breast, searching for ways to pleasure you while you adjust to namor.
“You’ve made my hand such a mess, why don’t you clean it up.” Shuri demanded holding her fingers up to your lips.
Namor watched as you took shuri’s fingers into your mouth, tasting yourself. He’d have to remember to taste you for himself later but now all he could think about was how tight you were around him.
“Tell me you're ready cause I can’t wait much longer.” Namor pressed, running his hands up your thighs.
“Go on, tell him how much you want it.” Shuri says, pulling her fingers from your mouth.
“Please, I’m ready-“ you're cut off by Namor who thrusts up without warning, knocking the words from your lips.
A low groan echoed off the walls as he gripped you with bruising strength.
“Gentle.” Shuri scolded, noticing the way you tensed. Namor sucked his teeth but complied, starting at a merciful pace for you to adjust to. Your hands braced on namors chest while Shuri’s held onto your hips keeping you steady.
The sounds that came from Namor were like heaven, the sound of him along with his thrusts made your head swim.
Shuri pressed kisses to the back of your neck whispering praises into your ear as you took Namor completely.
“F-faster!” You choked out, earning a grin from the man beneath you.
“Of course in yaakunaj.” His lips pressed together tightly as he bucked his hips up faster.
His grip on your thighs tightened as he brought you down to meet his thrusts. You felt dizzy at the sensations, almost making you forget your lover behind you.
“My Princess please use me as you please!” You cried out.
Namors pace slowed once more before pulling out completely. You and Shuri shared a look of confusion as he moved from under you.
“Stay on your knees and turn to your Princess.” He ordered.
Shuri caught on to what he was planning and grabbed your chin pulling you closer. She gave you a chaste kiss before leaning back against the bed. Namor pressed a hand to the middle of your back, pushing you between shuri’s legs. You wasted no time before shoving your tongue between her folds. You lapped at her slit drinking her in. Namor slid his hand back down to your waist using the other to line himself up again.
“Be nice to your princess-“ He began as he leaned over.
You could feel his warm breath against your ear as he lowered his voice to a mere whisper.
“-because I won’t.” Before you're given time to question what Namor said, he thrusted back into you.
Your breath hitched as you processed the fullness once more. Namors pace was relentless this time around. Between servicing shuri and Namor driving into you, you could barely breathe. The room filled with the ragged breaths and drawn out moans, the harmonious sounds of sex. Shuri gripped at your hair as you plunged your tongue into her trying to match Namors pace. Her thighs held you in place and her grip was tight, she was definitely close. It wasn’t long before a whine left shuri’s lips, her entire body tensing as she rode through her orgasm. You continued to clean up her mess pushing her into overstimulation. She pulled herself away with a sigh, her body limp against the bed while she caught her breath.
“You’ve had your fill, yes?” Namor asked her, slowing his thrusts.
She nodded wordlessly and he grinned.
“Good.” Was all He Said before you felt his hand around your throat.
He pulled you back into his chest, his free arm wrapping around your waist to pull you impossibly close.
“Looks like I win”, he teased.
He picked up his pace, moving his hand down to your clit. The double sensation made your mind go blank. You gripped at namors arms, feeling pressure in your abdomen. Namor squeezed his hand around your throat sending you into a state of bliss. Nonsense kept sputtering out of your mouth as Namor fucked you through your orgasm. Overstimulation began setting in and you were like jello in his hands.
“Do you want me inside, Hm?” He asked lowly. You nodded in a daze, head thrown back over his shoulder.
“Don’t come inside her.” Shuri warned, sitting up on the bed.
Namor shot her a smirk before pressing into you as far as he could go making sure you’d be stuffed full.
Namor let out a grunt as he thrusted in a few times before letting you fall next to Shuri, her jealous gaze burning through
him.

Recap:
Your limbs weren’t your own as Shuri steered you in a direction you were too discombobulated to notice. Every step you took was shaky, and the sounds and smells that you had once been enjoying now overstimulated you. They flashed by quickly, your head pounding in tandem as you were presumably led back to the vehicles you all had arrived in.
Your mind raced too quickly and was too focused on the pain to even recall what had happened; the only thing you could focus on was the feeling of Shuri’s arm around you, pulling you flush against her body, and her quick words that she spoke to you. They were the same words over and over again, but as she spoke, it became clear that you weren’t the only person she was reassuring.
“You’ll be okay. You’ll be okay.”
*******************************************************
There had been a cloud of pure panic and worry when you, Shuri, and Okoye had first arrived in the palace’s lab. Embellished with a sense of dread and desperation to figure out how and why everything that had happened, it draped over the shoulders of every person present…some more than others.
The sight of Wakanda’s almost miraculous healing technology was captivating to watch as it worked on your hand. It was a willful decision to ignore the fact that the machine was essentially putting your skin back together because of an attack and instead focus on the fact that they had technology that could just…mend one’s skin with minimal pain.
Now, while watching what could only be described as a feat of ingenuity to the rest of the world but just regular technology to Wakanda, you could see that the cloud of panic and worry hadn’t just dissipated; it had been replaced with something else.
It had quickly transformed into a storm of anger and frustration spurred on by unknown answers and uncertainties. The storm of emotions was something you didn’t quite know how to approach, both of you being in rather different positions. While both of you cared deeply for the other’s safety, only one of you had to worry about keeping the other safe while also running a country; and despite the country not exactly being in jeopardy, its safety would always be hanging right over Shuri’s head, always taking up a portion of her mind.
Even with her back to you, the tension that had gripped Shuri’s body was glaringly obvious. The skin that was visible from beneath her top was wound tight, lean muscles becoming more pronounced as if strained. Her shoulders rose and fell with deliberate and steady breaths, her head hanging as she leaned her hands against the table in front of her.
Your mouth opened and closed soundlessly for a second, still trying to find the words that would disrupt Shuri’s self-accusing thoughts that were undoubtedly racing through her mind when the regenerator that held your hand chimed. As soon as the sound reached her ears, Shuri was straightening and quickly turning to you, a faint look of alarm on her face.
Her steps were quick as she approached you, her eyes focused on your hand through the glass of the regenerator. She pressed a series of buttons, making the machine open. The gentleness with which she took your hand, turning it over in her grasp and checking the work that had been done, was a far cry from the emotions swirling behind her eyes, lingering just under the surface of the mask she had slipped into place; a mask you had never seen her wear- least of all around you.
The smallest tremor ran through her hands, and if her clenched jaw and pursed lips were anything to go by, it wasn’t caused by fear or anxiety.
Shuri was livid.
She didn’t know what to be more upset about; that you had somehow, someway, gotten hurt once again- while she had been right there, no less- or that she had brought you to Wakanda to keep you safe only for the exact opposite to happen. She had reassured you that you’d be safe there, away from the person who had dragged you into a set of circumstances you had no business being a part of in the first place; now she couldn’t even tell you if those circumstances led to this incident or not.
She couldn’t tell you much of anything, and that’s what made it all the more frustrating.
Shuri had always prided herself on being able to find answers to even the most complex questions, equations, formulas, etc. But this wasn’t a situation where she could simply turn to her work and technology in order to find the solution, as much as she wished she could; this was a situation that included a person she had come to care deeply about being targeted by a number of unknown factors. She could handle not knowing everything, at least for the most part; but being confronted with that feeling of helplessness when it came to protecting a person she cared for would always result in Shuri entering a headspace that would consume her very being until she could resolve it- until that person was safe. But there was something different about it this time.
Along with that hopelessness came the constant reminder that you wouldn’t be there, away from your home and friends, if it weren’t for her. She knew you’d argue her up and down about the thought, undoubtedly pinning all of the blame on the stalker, but Shuri could face the fact that she had a small part in everything.
Along with those reminders came a feeling of regret that she couldn’t shake no matter how many times you had reassured her. But she’d use that regret to her advantage: she’d use it as a sort of morbid motivation to answer every question, solve every riddle- do whatever she needed to do to make sure your life went back to normal.
“Shuri.”
Your worry filled voice cut right through her racing thoughts, making her quickly look up at you. Judging by the look on your face, worried in nature,  it had taken a few tries to do so before you were finally able to get through to her, and the realization only made her guilt grow. When she should’ve been by your side, trying to replace that feeling of safety that had been violated by your attacker, she had been lost in her own raging thoughts.
Her mask cracked for just a second, allowing the frustration and guilt to peek through. You had already expected the feelings to take hold of her thoughts, twisting and warping them into a blanket of self-blame that would settle over her mind, but you weren’t ready for the intensity of them. It made your chest tighten in the slightest, having an idea of what kind of thoughts were going through Shuri’s mind but not knowing if your words could help. It didn’t stop you from trying, though.
“I’m glad y’all have this technology. I’m not a big fan of needles, and I barely felt anything. It doesn’t even hurt anymore.”
You flexed her hand where it rested in the palm of hers, showing that your mobility was perfectly normal and functional. You even gave her a small smile, hoping that it would reflect on her face…only to no avail. In fact, it seemed to do the opposite.
Almost as if in response to your attempt to reassure her, the unfamiliar and concerning mask she had donned seconds ago came back in full force, sheltering her emotions and thoughts away from those she didn’t want to see…which at this moment included you. The sight of her stepping back and placing your hands in your lap was hard to accept, as was the sight of her eyes trying their hardest not to meet yours.
Maybe this was more than guilt? Was she…angry with you?
While it was easy to dismiss the thought of Shuri being angry at you for being attacked, it wasn’t as easy when it came to the thought that she was angry because of the way the night was ending. It was also easy for your mind to quickly take the blame for it, because maybe…just maybe if you had called her earlier or even declined the woman from the jump, you two would still be at the festival, having the time of your lives; forgetting what was awaiting you outside of Wakanda’s borders.
But no; the night had only ended with the realization and fear that whatever had been outside of Wakanda had somehow found its way in.
“I’m sorry the night ended this way.”
The words, spurred on by an acute sense of anxiety, fell from your lips before you could stop them.
“I should’ve called you or…did something else- I don’t know. I know you wanted to just go out and have fun without having to worry about anything, and…I’m sorry this all happened.”
Somehow, you found yourself apologizing for the one thing you were sure that she wouldn’t blame you for, but you couldn’t help it. The recent memories of her smiling and laughing without a care in the world were too precious to not apologize for ruining- even if you weren’t the one that ruined it.
The look of pure disbelief was quick as it passed over her face, her eyes finally meeting yours with furrowed eyebrows. Her head tilted as if she were still processing your words, or rather processing how and why you would say them to begin with.
“Ngoba…Why would you apologize?”
Her voice, no matter how hard she tried to make it match the expressionless mask she showed, sounded the utmost confused…and even a little offended. It prompted you to hurry and continue, though before you could even get a word out, Shuri was speaking.
“You have no reason to apologize. You did nothing wrong, Y/N. If anything, I should-” The confusion in her voice seamlessly switched to frustration and anger as her hands clenched at her sides. The next breath she took shook slightly.
“I brought you here to keep you safe- I told you that you’d be safe here, only for you to be attacked while I was right there, while I was distracted. I should be the one apologizing- not you.”
The harshness of her voice echoed throughout the lab, and while you were able to remind yourself that it was directed at herself and not at you, it was a little challenging to get your body to react accordingly. You had pushed the fear and nerves from earlier into the depths of your mind, waiting for the right time to make themselves known whether it be in the form of tears, disassociating, or anger, but they had only grown and gained traction the longer you kept them at bay. They were starting to make themselves known in the smallest ways, such as the smallest tremble in your hands as you lowered them to hoist yourself off of the table, and the slight unsteadiness of your legs as you approached her.
“There’s nothing to apologize for. You were enjoying yourself- which is what you were supposed to be doing. None of this is your fault. Neither of us could possibly predict that this would happen, especially here, in Wakanda. Definitely not at a festival.”
Her eyes tracked you as you approached, and you were able to see that your words had virtually no effect on her. The realization made you hesitate, and it honestly made you wonder if she even wanted your reassurances, but you had to remind yourself to not take anything Shuri did or didn’t do personally.
You kept a moderate amount of distance between the two of you, having a suspicion that the last thing she needed was you to be right under her despite the strong longing to do nothing but wrap your arms around her and have her do the same.
“I think I can speak for both of us when I say we weren’t exactly expecting this…person to follow us here.”
It was almost as if your words flipped some sort of switch or triggered a change of direction in her thoughts. The look on her face went from one full of guilt and displeasure to an almost…calm sense of anger; an anger that was carefully controlled so that it wouldn’t catch her or anyone else by surprise. It reflected itself in her words as she spoke, her voice low and contained.
“What makes you think they followed us? What did she say to you?”
Her voice contrasted greatly with yours; where yours was hesitant but soft and patient, hers was hard, almost demanding…with an unmistakable, angered quiver underlying her words. It made you pause, your eyebrows furrowing, though you continued to answer her question.
“Uh…she said somethin’ like ‘stay away’ and-” As if her question dredged up the memory from your mind, you could picture the scene from earlier clearly. How tight her grip was around your wrist, the feeling of the spearhead cutting in your hand as you clenched it in fear, and the words that both confused and frightened you.
“She said ‘one tree cannot be a forest’.”
Your mouth twisted around the words, the underlying warning making itself known in the words themselves and the physical effect they had on you. You subconsciously clenched your newly healed hand, the phantom feeling of stinging gracing your palm.
Shuri’s eyebrows furrowed, her eyes focusing on a spot on the floor as her brain undoubtedly worked on figuring out the meaning of the words. You, on the other hand, were busy trying to think of alternate reasons why the woman would say that, other than the reason being that she was the stalker. But, there was just something about the thought that didn’t sit right with you. You had no clue what it was, but it was almost like it seemed…wrong.
“And that was all she said?”
Still lost in your own thoughts, you only nodded, though your thoughts were quickly interrupted by the sound of heavy footfalls coming around the corner of the lab, Okoye soon revealing herself to the both of you. Her footsteps remained quick as she walked further inside, her wrist outstretched and displaying a hologram of Ayo’s face.
“Ukumkanikazi, the suspect from earlier has been captured and detained,” Okoye spoke calmly, though there was still an undertone of urgency underneath her words. Shuri, however, didn’t bother hiding her urgency as she quickly approached Okoye, her eyes darting between her face and Ayo’s, her voice rushed.
“And has she said anything?”
Potentially being provided more information about the woman and the reason behind her actions drew you closer to the two women, though you still hung back in just the slightest, standing just close enough to hear and see Ayo before she responded.
“She hasn’t said anything, my Queen. I’ve already sent you what we do know about her.” Shuri raised her wrist in response, tapping a few beads and making a small hologram of a record of some sort appear. “There was slight resistance when we caught up to her, but she is, for the most part, unharmed. She seemed to be heading for the border closest to the north end of the river.”
The way the three of you looked confusedly at each other would’ve been comical had it not been for the seriousness of the situation. Ayo, most likely seeing said confusion and more questions on her General’s face continued.
“She has what seems to be scratch marks fitting that of a human hand littering her arm, along with a broken thumb.”
Instead of looking at each other, Shuri and Okoye’s heads turned to you. You could only look at them in confusion before the very vivid memory of you reaching for the woman’s thumb and pulling in order to free yourself appeared in your mind. Lips twisting slightly into a grimace, you nodded sheepishly, already confirming what they were thinking.
“You broke her thumb?”
Okoye’s raised eyebrow and the accusation in her voice caused you to feel a little defensive, despite knowing that she would probably be the last person who would be upset about you doing what you had done. Your eyebrows furrowed and you glanced between the two of them. Mouth opening and closing almost comically, you worked to find the words you wanted to say while under the questioning and quite frankly surprised expressions of the two women in front of you. It didn’t take long for said words to come to mind, being emphasized by you pointing at the General.
“I-well…I did what you taught me. Is that not what you taught me to do?”
The general took a second longer to just look at you before nodding in confirmation, the beginnings of a satisfied smile appearing on her face as she turned back to her second in command. Your eyes left her only to land on Shuri, subconsciously wanting to see her reaction to the new information; though the second your eyes landed on her, hers were darting away to look at Ayo. It was useless to hide the frown on your face as you too turned your attention to her, trying your hardest to not let the small pang of hurt show on your face.
“In reference to her injuries, that is all she has sustained. We are currently on our way back to the palace where we plan on questioning her.”
Shuri nodded at Ayo’s words, a look of determination hardening her features.
“Thank you, Ayo. Get here as quickly as you can, but be careful.”
“Ewe, ukumkanikazi. General.”
Ayo bid her farewell with a nod to the two women before hanging up, her hologram disappearing. As soon as the call ended, Shuri was jumping into action.
“Okoye, if you could wait for them in the holding area while I escort Y/N to her room. Do not question her until I’m there, I want to hear everything she says-”
Her words elicited different reactions from you and the General. Whereas Okoye was concerned and a little hesitant, you could feel nothing but confusion and a small sense of…uselessness as Shuri spoke of you as if you weren’t right there beside her; as if you were a child who had to be escorted out of the room to let the “grown-ups” talk. To make it worse, she had yet to look at you still, her eyes instead focusing on the hologram that displayed the woman’s information.
“Uh, I’m not going anywhere. I wanna hear why she did…this-” You waved your hand in emphasis, still looking at Shuri with a mixture of disbelief and a slow-growing frustration of your own. Exasperation laced your words, a direct response to the rather dismissive tone of hers, “-And any other information y’all manage to get out of her.”
Only at your refusal did Shuri look up, but not before letting out a sigh and clenching her jaw slightly. It only caused your frustration to grow in the slightest at the fact that you couldn’t tell where her mind was at. If anyone were looking from the outside, they’d guess that the queen was upset by you and your presence, the latter being an inconvenience.
Okoye, most likely able to feel the new and apparent tension that had descended over the room, spoke before either of you could. To your own surprise, you found yourself wanting Shuri to respond; anything was better than the dismissive air she gave off.
“I insist that you both retire to your rooms and get some rest for the night while I go watch the interrogation.”
While Shuri’s gaze quickly turned to Okoye, a refusal already on the tip of her tongue and clear on her face, yours remained on Shuri. You silently willed her to show something- anything other than this cold, almost annoyed exterior she was giving off. If anything, the annoyance radiating off of her grew as she refused Okoye’s proposal. But there was something else beneath it; something that rolled off of her in waves as you watched her and Okoye argue back and forth. It reflected itself in her words.
“Do you really expect me to go to bed while the woman who attacked someone under my protection is questioned?”
Shuri’s hands never stopped moving as she spoke, whether they clenched and unclenched at her sides or waved about; at one point she ran them down her face quickly, letting out a heavy sigh that did nothing but emphasize exactly how tight her shoulders were as they didn’t drop.
“I expect you to let me handle this, Shuri. I will ask every question that needs to be asked, I will get every bit of information I can, you know this-”
“-And what if you don’t ask all of the right questions? What then? All of the information we gain will either be useless or false, and we’ll be right where we started-”
The poorly masked dismay in her voice was all it took for you to recognize that lurking feeling as desperation. She was desperate for answers; desperate for some kind of a win in this game that seemed only one sided between the two of you and this person. Desperate for a breakthrough that would make it easier to figure out the next steps. If she wasn’t there, who’s to say that the woman’s answers wouldn’t be lost in translation, despite the fact that Okoye was not one to partake in miscommunication. Being there meant getting those answers firsthand, watching the woman’s demeanor, and just being a part of the planning process-something that was essential to her.
The frustration you felt towards her deflated almost as quickly as it had arrived, being replaced by empathy.
“Shuri.”
Okoye’s voice was stern as she spoke, but she had a calm and confident air around her; two things that you had never seen her lack. Shuri paused in her motions, the weight of her name echoing through the room and settling deep into her bones. It was her turn to recognize the solace in Okoye’s face and the understanding in yours, and as you waited to see how she would react, you found yourself hoping that she’d accept whatever reassurance and words of advice Okoye had to offer.
“Both of you have been through enough tonight. Whatever answers we are able to get from this woman will only cause you to lose more sleep than you already have. I advise you to rest tonight, knowing that she is in our custody and that nothing will change that. I will stand guard all night outside of her cell if it will ease your worries.”
When Shuri turned to face you and Okoye, there was a moment…a split second where it became harder to hold her more pressing emotions at bay. The look in Okoye’s eyes was the same confident, slightly reprimanding look that the General would give her brother whenever he got a little too reckless. It was a look that was both a warning and a promise that whatever happened, Okoye would be there to see it through to the end, loyal as ever.
The look in your eyes was one of empathy so genuine, Shuri could feel the way it speared into her chest, spreading like a rapidly growing fire. The longer she looked at you, your face open and oh-so-receiving of any burdens she felt the need to let go of, the more that fire thawed every single thought made of self-doubt and uncertainties. The more she realized how easier it would be to just…let you in.
But then her eyes trailed down to the clothes you still wore, still stained with your own blood. Her eyes zeroed in on the dried blood she hadn’t gotten when you had first arrived, drying in the corners and crevices of your arm and hand. They zeroed in on the slight tremor in your hands… the look of exhaustion in your eyes…and the way you chewed subconsciously on the inside of your mouth, knowing it was something you did when you were anxious but trying your hardest not to show it.
And just like that, the warmth you so willingly gave her felt…undeserved. It felt as if you were forcing yourself to be okay for her benefit despite the sequence of events you had been through.
It was illogical, she knew it, but the resentment she felt towards herself was strong as it bled into her, tenfold.
Shuri’s voice was low and demanding as she spoke, and despite the compromise she settled on, it provided no room for argument from either you or Okoye.
“General, you will meet them in the holding area to watch the interrogation…and I-” she paused, letting out a breath, “we will watch from here. And after the interrogation, we will decide on what our next steps are.”
You and Okoye’s eyes met, the same cautionary look being echoed between the two of you. Hers came from a place of knowing exactly which path Shuri was headed down, while yours came from noticing her change from “I” to “we” and how hesitant and displeased she was to make the change in the first place.
“Uyeva?”
Okoye’s eyes left yours, instead shifting to meet Shuri’s, and with a solemn, stiff nod, she turned on her heel to follow the orders she had just been given. With her, she took the last bit of comfort and confidence her presence had brought you in the face of this new persona Shuri had seemed to quickly adopt.
You watched Okoye disappear around the corner, and even after she was gone, you continued to stare at the spot she had just been standing in.
“Do you…need anything?”
While the harshness was gone from Shuri’s voice, it wasn’t the same one she usually used with you. What was usually lighthearted and vulnerable, allowing you a glimpse into what she was thinking, was now flat and guarded. To anyone else, it may have seemed like she was only asking to appear worried; but for you, a person who had seen the small crack in her mask and the feelings that leaked through, you knew the truth.
At least…you told yourself you did.
Instead of answering, you simply shook your head, leaning against the nearest counter that held the least amount of expensive and high-quality-looking technology on it. Shuri reciprocated your silence while turning to the large, glass surface that usually held project plans or equations you couldn’t be bothered to figure out. Within a few quick taps, the both of you were suddenly looking at live footage of an openly spaced room. It held only a table and 3 chairs, one of them already occupied by your attacker’s disheveled form. It looked nothing like the interrogation rooms of american tv shows; instead of being dingy with low lighting and uncomfortable chairs, all made to make the suspect uncomfortable and to wear them down, this room looked like it could easily be transformed into a rather comfortable, homely bedroom.
You suspected that the Wakandans had designed it this way in order to do the exact opposite of america; to make whatever suspect they had feel at ease enough to spill any information they were looking for. The woman sitting in the room remained as still as a statue, only her eyes flickering about as she waited for whoever would come through the door and start the questioning. You weren’t a behavioral analyst but you were observant enough to notice the way that, no matter how hard she tried to seem completely at ease, the tense, uptick of her shoulders showed exactly how uneasy she was.
Despite the moral and ethical position of Wakanda, you had no doubt that they had…methods of getting answers they deemed absolutely paramount to the questions they had. Maybe the same thought was running through her mind as she sat there.
You sincerely hoped that they wouldn’t have to resort to those unnamed ways, even with the person who was courageous, and unhinged, enough to go after someone under the protection of the country’s royal family.
You had half a mind to ask Shuri exactly what to expect, but before you could work up the courage to do so, a voice sounded from the live feed. You didn’t recognize the voice or the older woman who appeared on screen only a second later, but you could tell by the conviction in her voice that this wasn’t her first interrogation. The other thing that clued you in on how much experience she had was the fact that she used a physical file instead of displaying the same information from the kimoyo beads…that weren’t even on her wrist.
The older woman came to a stop on the other side of the table, flipping through the papers. It gave you a chance to actually look at her, taking notice of the long braid made of locs that ran down her back and the gray dress that looked both professional and very badass; a talent Wakandan women always seemed to possess.
“Nondri Thizondu. Age 27. Born and raised in the Northern Border Tribe. Once a candidate to join the Hatut Zeraze and become a War Dog secret operative, but was denied due to…oh.”
The woman raised her eyebrows in surprise as she sat across from the younger woman, but anyone with a shred of common sense could guess that this was not new information to her.
“Well, it seems you were suspected of having ties to the anti-royalist group, The Salvation of Order.”
Call it willful ignorance or a simple matter of forgetting that every country had its dark secrets, including a country as high-tech and advanced as Wakanda, but the mention of there being an anti-royalist group made something heavy settle in the pits of your stomach. The concept of there being an entire group of people who dedicated their lives to opposing the royal family of Wakanda was outlandish, especially given the fact that you could say you knew one person in the family. But that knowledge was nothing to this group who had a collective mission that included ridding Wakanda of its monarchy.
The woman- Nondri- refrained from acknowledging the information being exposed by the interrogator, who had yet to give her name. Her eyes remained on her hands, bound by a pair of thick cuffs that tightened slightly whenever they detected high levels of resistance. She looked to have something else on her mind other than the realization that she was currently in the palace being interrogated.
“Before we really get started, allow me to introduce myself. I’m Head Challenger Eza, and as my title says, I’m the Head Challenger here in the palace.”
Nondri remained the same, refusing to even look at Head Challenger- HC-  Eza. It certainly didn’t sway the woman’s advances as she continued speaking to Nondri as if they were friends just catching up.
“With that out of the way, let's get back to this Salvation of Order business, yes? Not only were you suspected of having ties, but after a simple background search, it was revealed that a member of your family is currently incarcerated because of their involvement in a series of attacks that S.O.D took credit for about 6 years ago. Do you know anything about those?”
Your eyes quickly glanced at Shuri just in time to see a sneer develop on her face. It confirmed what you had expected: that Shuri had been alive and old enough to remember these attacks, and that the mere mention of them was affecting her. It only made questions arise in your mind- questions that you knew would either have to be asked very later on down the line…or not at all depending on how it directly impacted her and her family.
The only reaction Eza received was a twitch of Nondri’s lips as her family member was brought up…but it was all Eza needed.
“...I’ll take your silence as a no.”  She sighed, organizing the papers in front of her with a disappointed frown. “Well, then hopefully you’re able to tell me more about what happened tonight. You…do know why you’re here, correct?”
Silence.
“You’re here because, for some reason, you thought that it’d be a good idea to not only attack someone at tonight’s festival- but attack someone who is currently under the protection of the Royal Family.”
Finally, Nondri’s gaze lifted to connect with Eza’s, narrowing in the slightest at her words. Eza simply tilted her head, her own eyes narrowing in response.
“Attacking, and hurting, someone under the Royal Family’s protection isn’t that far off from attacking and hurting someone of the Royal Family, you are aware of that, correct? Whether or not you are, I’m sure you know the penalty for committing such an act.”
Gone was the easygoing tone of Eza’s voice, being replaced by one that was unyielding and heavy with accusation; a tone that, when paired with her words, caused the most reaction out of Nondri so far. The woman’s face shifted slightly, showcasing the true fear spearing through her mind. But Eza didn’t stop there.
“Not only will you face assault with a deadly weapon towards a vassal of Wakanda’s Monarch, but if we find anything connecting you to S.O.D, you’ll also be charged with conspiracy to commit treason-”
“It wasn’t an attack- no one was supposed to get hurt!”
Nondri’s voice was desperate as she interrupted, her bound hands clenching into fists. At the sound of her finally responding, Shuri stepped closer to the glass, eyes narrowed and slowly gaining more fire as the interrogation continued.
“Then tell me what it was. Because the young lady you hurt tonight had to be healed with Wakandan tech by the Queen herself- so it is in your best interest to tell me what it was ‘supposed’ to be.”
The young woman’s face lost all of its color as Shuri was mentioned. A quick glance over at said monarch showed that she was not only tense but actively seething. You felt a little ashamed at the way your heartbeat increased in anxiety, your body reacting as if you were…afraid of her.
You quickly turned your attention back to the feed at the thought, pushing it into the furthest confines of your mind.
“Ndiyathembisa- I promise- I was only…” Nondri let out a shaky breath, her hands wringing themselves as much as they could with the cuffs on, “I was simply trying to warn her.”
If her answer threw the older woman for a loop, she certainly didn’t let it show. Whereas you and Shuri froze, eyebrows furrowing and glancing quickly at each other, Eza only took a second to process her words.
“Warn her? Warn her of what?”
Another heavy, shaky sigh wracked Nondri’s body, her gaze looking down at her hands once more and staying there for a minute. The stillness in the lab imitated the stillness of the interrogation room as you watched, holding your breath to see if, and how, she would answer the question. The tension that had taken hold of Shuri only intensified, her movements breaking the silence as she reached out, her hand gripping the very edge of the table closest to her. Her strength and anger was evident in the way her knuckles strained, her tattooed skin being pulled. You tried your hardest to ignore the sound of the metal creaking under her hand.
You silently willed Nondri to hurry and spit the answer out, afraid and half expecting Shuri to make her way to the interrogation room.
“Nondri. Warn her of what- what do you know?”
Eza’s question was softly spoken, almost sympathetic as she leaned forward, trying to meet the young woman’s eyes.
“About the person after her…and the Queen.”
Her words caused both you and Shuri to take another step towards the glass, as if you both could rush her along with the information she had yet to give. It was right there. Her next words could be exactly what you two needed to answer most, if not all, of the questions. Hell, you’d both take enough to answer at least one question.
“What do you know about that?”
Nondri’s words were rushed but quiet as she spoke.
“The person after them isn’t who you think it is. The person from their American school…he was sent there. They told him exactly what to do, and he had no choice but to do it. If they want you to do something, you have to. Otherwise, everyone you love, everyone you care about- every person you’ve ever spoken to will-”
She cut herself off with a shaky gasp, her bound hands raising to wipe under her eyes. She continued with a voice full of anxiety and thick with tears.
“They can find out anything about a person- about you…but you’ll never know who they are. You’ll never be able to find out…I’ve tried.”
The eeriness behind her words made you freeze, your breath getting caught in your throat. Suddenly every question you had withered away in the face of this information that said everything…everything was much deeper than you could’ve imagined.
Her warning from earlier flashed through your mind: “One tree cannot be a forest”. She had been trying to tell you then that it was never just one person- it was never just a stalker.
Every speculation, every thought you two had about the person from campus was useless…the exact thing Shuri was afraid of.
Even with your mind reeling, you found yourself turning to her, subconsciously seeking some kind of comfort. You didn’t care how she showed it; wrapping her arms around you, taking your hand, or even just telling you that everything would be fine…but none of that happened.
Seeing her turn away from the glass,  away from you…it hurt more than you expected it to. It made an almost overwhelming sense of isolation course through you, a deep breath flowing through your body at the feeling.
If she didn’t want to comfort or be comforted, then fine. But the two of you couldn’t just…react like this to such a vital piece of information. If anything, this moment would only benefit from you two actually talking- figuring out what to do next- who to question next.
You’d put aside your hesitancy and your anxiety- you had to. You’d wait until you were in the confines of your own room to finally let them take hold of your senses.
“Maybe she knows more than she thinks she does. I-If we get her to tell us everything she knows about…whoever the hell sent that guy, we could find a connection between what she gives us and what we already know.”
Shuri’s head shook as she leaned over the same table she had been gripping, both hands clenching the edge. Not only could you see her shoulders rise and fall with each deep breath, but you could hear them as they escaped her mouth, harsh and unrelenting. She spoke slowly through her clenched teeth.
“We barely know anything…and what we do know could be completely false. It could be…fucking useless.”
The venom in her voice stopped you dead in your tracks, your eyes widening slightly. But the defeat underlining her words made you continue, your voice growing in just the slightest.
“We don’t know that yet. You just said it yourself, we barely know anything, so how can we know if its useless-”
Maybe it was because you used her words against her, or maybe it was because you were trying so hard to convince her of something she had already made her mind up about; whatever it was seemed to break clean through the last restraint holding Shuri’s frustration and anger back.
In-between one blink and the next, a metal stool was suddenly flying across the lab and crashing into the wall with a deafening crash. It tumbled to the floor with another series of loud clangs, each one seeming to be louder than the one before. Even as it finally came to a stop, you could’ve sworn the sounds continued to echo throughout the lab. It only took a few seconds for you to realize that it was the sound of your heart thumping unevenly and painfully in your chest. The lab itself was back to being mostly silent, the only sounds breaking it being your heavy, uneven breathing. You couldn’t have stopped them if you wanted to.
Every tendril of uneasiness that had been slowly wrapping around your nerves finally tightened; your fear from the attack combining with your fear in the moment and making itself painfully known.
Your hands had raised on their own, trembling harshly and outstretched as if to block something hurtling at you. Your eyes had clenched shut and your body had tensed, waiting for a blow that would never come. Your jaw had clenched in an effort to keep an alarmed yelp back…and Shuri had seen all of it happen as soon as her anger got the better of her.
The sight of you recoiling away from her made her face twist into one of utter sorrow, her eyebrows furrowing and her lips parting on an apology that she couldn’t seem to get out.
Every bit of frustration and anger she felt dissipated into thin air as she saw the effect her outburst had on you, and in its place came the overpowering worry for you and the strong admonishment of herself.
In a situation that had already placed a significant amount of stress and dread on your shoulders, she had only exacerbated it. Instead of taking away your fear, she added to it.
What the hell was she doing?
A tight band of regret seemed to wrap its way around her chest, taking her breath away as she instinctively took a step towards you, hand reaching out towards you. That band tightened painfully at the sight of you taking a minuscule step back, stopping only because of the table behind you.
Shuri’s throat felt restricted with a mixture of tears and apologies. Her body shook with the desire to either run to you and wrap her arms around you, or to fall to her knees and beg for forgiveness, because the very thought of you being…afraid of her was harrowing and frightening enough to make her eyes water.
Whatever hurt you were dealt, she’d feel it, even when she was the cause of it. And when she was the cause of it, she physically couldn’t stand herself because…because seeing the person she loved in pain due to her actions, caused her that same pain tenfold.
All due to her actions.
Everything that had transpired between the two of you tonight made her aware of one thing: she loved you too much to continue hurting you with her own self-sabotaging and self-blaming thoughts and the actions that followed.
And watching you try to reorient yourself, shaking your hands as if that would get rid of the tremors still wracking your body, only solidified her thoughts.
This couldn’t- wouldn’t - happen again, and she’d make sure of it…no matter how much it would hurt her to stay away.
There was distress in Shuri’s eyes as you finally straightened, hesitantly meeting her eyes. The tension that had been surrounding the two of you ever since arriving had changed into something else- something you were scared to put a name to.
“Ukumkanikazi! Shuri! What was-”
Okoye’s voice along with her arrival was what finally broke the charged air surrounding the lab, making you subconsciously draw in a deep breath. Her eyes were alarmed but strategic as she looked quickly around the lab, effortlessly finding the stool that had made all of the noise…and effortlessly picking up on the energy. She looked between the two of you, her mouth opening to ask questions that you didn’t have the energy to answer.
“I…think I’d like to go to bed.”
The words sucked the rest of the energy out of your very being, making your limbs almost unbearably heavy and your eyes feel swollen and sore. There was a headache slowly forming in your temple, and suddenly the clothes you had on were too exposing, the lab’s cold air nipping at your skin.
Your steps were running simply on the memory of how it felt to walk as you made your way past Okoye and to the entrance she had just come through, your eyes unblinking and unwavering as you stared forward.
You could feel two sets of eyes in the middle of your shoulder blades as you exited the room, though only one of them burned with unspoken words of regret. The last thing you heard before turning the corner was Okoye asking Shuri what happened, the latter replying in a voice too small and too quiet for you to distinguish.
You continued walking.
The closer you grew to your room, the harder it became to reel in every single emotion that had fired through your body in the last hour or so. Each one fought for your attention, wanting you to confront it head-on; frustration, anger, dejection, rejection, and most of all fear. Fear threatened to choke you, but you had just walked away from the one person who could poke holes in that fear until it was no more.
No, you’d deal with it somehow. Maybe in the morning. Now, you just wanted to sleep.
You forced yourself to take deep breaths, focusing your thoughts on how good falling into bed would be even when every damn thing you touched or came across in your room was just a painful reminder of what had just happened.
The sight of dried blood swirling down the shower drain- just get to bed.
The sight of your ruined clothes kicked into the farthest corner of the bathroom- just get to the bed.
The faint scar now running the length of your palm accompanied by the phantom sting of the spearhead-you can do it, just get in bed. It’s right there.
Only a few more steps and then you can fall into-
The same bed you and Shuri had shared only the night before, something that felt like weeks ago. The memory of how she had knocked on your door, eyes worried but grateful when you had invited her in, almost broke down your last defense. The phantom feeling of her arms wrapping around you almost broke down your last defense…but neither of those did it.
Just maybe you’d make it through the night without giving in.
As you approached your bed, running a hand tiredly down your face, a knock sounded on the door. Just like earlier, your body reacted before your mind could catch up, your heart taking off and your muscles freezing. Whoever it was knocked again after a few seconds; seconds which were filled with you trying to work up the courage to actually open the door.
Shuffling over to the door, you fidgeted with the bottom of your nightshirt, pulling and twisting it until it was wrinkled.
It wouldn’t be her, would it? Surely not so soon after…everything. What would you even say to her? What was there to say?
“Miss Y/L/N, the General is requesting to speak with you. She has something that belongs to you.”
You could admit that a sigh of relief left your mouth at Griot’s words, and you could also admit that it was easier to unlock and open the door. As soon as your eyes landed on Okoye and the object in her hand, you felt the first crack in your last defense.
“You left this in the jeep. I was told that we can get the…blood out of it, but I was to bring it to you first so you could collect your gifts.”
She held the gifted bag from the festival out for you to take, which you did, albeit slowly and shakily. You hoped your eyes showed your thanks to Okoye, for opening your mouth and speaking regularly was not a possibility.
She watched you, not bothering to hide her worry as you looked down at the bag before looking back at her. You should’ve known what would happen as soon as she asked that one question, and in a way, you did know; but maybe you were still looking for that feeling of comfort, for someone to tell you that it’d be alright.
“Y/N, are you alright?”
You tried to nod, you really did, but that was all it took for every emotion you had been fighting back to make themselves known in a way that you’d surely be embarrassed about later; but you couldn’t find it in yourself to care.
You didn’t remember dropping the bag or grabbing the door to steady yourself; you definitely didn’t remember Okoye’s firm hands reaching out to pull you into her body, her arms tight as they kept you steady.
You didn’t want to remember seeing with your tear-filled gaze how the door down the hall shut quietly as Okoye ushered you back into your room. Despite not remembering the moment you fell asleep, the one thing you could recall was that visual.

“On the Way”
Prompt: Nap date/ Sleepless Shuri
********************
“Okoye!!” Shuri screamed out in hopes the warrior was nearby.
Shuri heard the recognizable thudding pattern of the warrior’s feet. Moments after she found herself face to face with a disheveled Okoye.
“Yes, Shuri.” Okoye panted out.
“Tell the council I will give them audience tomorrow.”
“But Shur-“
Shuri gave the warrior a stern look.
“Tell them I will meet with them tomorrow.”
“Of course.” Okoye nodded in confirmation and turned to leave the room.
“Oh and Okoye, if they ask why tell them I had some more important matters to attend to.”
Okoye turned her head and again nodded in silent confirmation. She exited the quarters with growing concern. She and several others had began to notice a change in their Black Panther’s mood. If Shuri wasn’t working in her lab, she was holed up in her living quarters. There were several nights she had gone without eating. And there were several nights Shuri had opted to ponder in her lab. Many had noticed the change after a certain MIT student left, but no one was brave enough to confront Shuri about the matter. Yet, Okoye was slowly building the strength. Her concern for the young Black Panther was only growing by the day.
Shuri, on the other hand, was doing everything to keep her mind from falling into a place of despair. After the year’s events, many nights she was left feeling alone. Her preferred company had become her work. It was always there, present, and never wavering in it’s character. Right now, Shuri felt as though it was the only thing, human or not, that she could trust. Her mind was always teetering on the line of nothingness and sorrow. Her lab was the line that divided that. A safe boundary that she tried to stay inside of. Lately, though, no matter how hard she worked it seemed her mind didn’t grow tired. Thinking back to the last time she had som sort of mental relief, a certain someone popped into her head.
Riri Williams. It had been almost a month since they had last seen each other. Shuri would often find her in the lab late at night as well. Her and Griot had even formed their own “friendship”. One that Shuri still was a little jealous of to this day.
Their long, sleepless nights in the lab had brought the two women closer than they had anticipated. Their love of science and technology easily created a bond between them. Often, Riri would find herself waking up in Shuri’s bed. Shuri would find, well hear, a snoring Riri slumped over her work space. Instead of waking her, Shuri would just carry Riri to her room. Shuri didn’t mind sharing her bed. Honestly, it was nice to feel the warmth and presence of someone else. More than once had either one of them woken up to the embrace of the other. At some point shortly before her departure, Riri had declared herself Shuri’s temporary roommate. She had spent most of her time between the lab and Shuri’s room anyways. Most of her day was spent trying to sleep or talking to Shuri. She had come to know a lot about the young scientist. Their shared space had become a world away from their troubles. One that existed only for them.
Slowly, just as slowly as the days turned to nights, their growing friendship budded into something else. At first, Shuri had thought little of any type of romantic relationship, with anyone. But the peace and any reminisce of joy she held, had only been illuminated by Riri. It was as if the MIT student, had unlocked a part of Shuri that she thought long gone. To put into the simplest of words, Riri held the light to lead her out of the dark. No, she wasn’t light. Ms. Williams had her own bouts of troubles and traumas. She wasn’t perfect, but for Shuri she was. Shuri felt as if Riri held the key to feeling something other than agony. For some time Shuri contemplated on if those feelings were returned. It was foolish of her to think that. Riri had fallen for Shuri long before she realized it. The night they were kidnapped and taken to Talokan, she felt it. It was a morsel of a feeling. One she had grown foreign to the meaning of. Since the lost of her parents and the sudden obligation to grow up, she had long left the ideas of romance behind. That was until she met Shuri Udaku. A woman whose protectiveness and stubbornness to leave her saved her life. From the moment Shuri had albeit offered her life for Riri’s, the MIT student had began falling for the Wakandan without realizing it. The more layers she pulled back, the more of a connection she felt. The sarcastic, hardened woman the world saw was just a mere reflection of her life’s journey. And luckily, Riri got to discover that journey. Each exchanging stories of their childhood and their families in between working and the little sleep they were getting. Their minds had connected just as much as their hearts’ had. Those budding feelings had come to bloom in the moments right before Riri left.

Flasback
The pair were in their room, as Shuri referred to it. Shuri was sitting on the bed watching Riri gather the last of her things.
“So, you’re finally giving me my bed back?”
Shuri said with a sarcastic smile.
Riri began to laugh, “Ha, you’ll miss me as soon as I leave.” Riri began to walk towards Shuri from her spot on the other side of the room.
“Oh, I’ll be expecting a call when you land and if you’re crying so help me-“
“Oh you got jokes today, huh?” Riri approached Shuri and began tickling her sides. Shuri fell back on her sides. Her laughter began to fill the room as Riri’s laughing became an echo of her’s. She couldn’t remember the last time she laughed this much.
“Okay, okay. You win. Damn woman!” Shuri gave in still trying to subdue her laughing.
Riri stopped her assault on the Wakandan and began to stand up. Shuri grabbed her hand at the last moment and looked her in those brown eyes she had come to find such comfort in.
“Just know, Riri, I am going to miss you. Jokes aside, you really helped me in a way I didn’t know I needed.”
Riri stood there for a moment, lost in the eyes in front of her.
“I- I’m glad I could help. But you, you helped me too. It’s been a longtime since I’ve had anyone I was this close too. So, thank you, Shuri. Honestly.”
“Even after you leave, I don’t want to lose our friendship. You can call me and I’ll always answer.”
Shuri said as she looked down briefly at the other woman’s lips. Her emotions were coming to the forefront and Shuri didn’t think she could surpress them any longer.
“Shuri, I -“
But Riri was cutoff. Cutoff by Shuri’s laps almost crashing into hers. Riri almost moaned with pleasure. She pushed her lips even closer into Shuri’s. Needing air, Shuri pulled back, panting almost.
“That was-“
“Yea.” Riri said still in shock.
“So, what do- what uh-“
“Yea.”
“You already said that.” Shuri finally said.
“We should talk about this.”
“Yea, Riri we should.”
“So, uhm, what exactly does this mean?” Riri moved from her current position and sat on the bed beside Shuri.
“I can honestly say I have feelings for you, which is scary but. Yea. They’re there.”
Shuri raised one of her eyebrows, “They’re there? That’s the best you got?” Shuri let out with a laugh.
“Listen, you had WEEKS to do that and you pick right before I leave? How was a girl supposed to prepare?” Riri jokingly questioned.
“Well then, I guess that answers my question.” Shuri responded, a goofy grin plastered on her face.
End of Flasback
********************************************
Shuri remembered the conversation that followed. They had agreed on a relationship, but they would go slow. It was necessary as they both were still healing. Shuri couldn’t deny she missed her girlfriend. Her current mental and physical state was proof of that. She knew everyone around her had noticed too. Not wanting to cause concern, Shuri came to the only conclusion that made sense. She would go to Riri. Her source of peace.
While she could leave at a moment’s notice, she knew better than to disregard her responsibilities. She still had been required to meet with the Tribal Council in regards to her most recent developments. So she planned to leave tomorrow. She’d just have to deal with the council today. There was a newborn pressure to develop and experiment with different defensive technology. After Namor’s unexpected and devastating appearance, the tribal council was leaving the protection and defensive efforts in the hand of none other than Shuri. And with this came constant meetings regarding the update of those efforts. Question after question, the elders often asked the same questions. Shuri always gave the same answers.
“I’ll let you know something, soon.”
Yet, soon never seemed to come as Shuri had faced a mental block in the past few weeks. And Shuri knew Riri’s absence was the cause of that. They had made progress with some of Shuri’s ideas, but nothing had been finalized in their short time together.
Shuri sighed and began to get herself together. After deeming herself presentable, she made her way to the throne room.
The meeting was brief with the same questions being asked. She could tell the council was growing irritable and frustrated with her lack of answers. Shuri could not care less. She would make progress and report to them only when necessary. She hated the constant meetings, the pressure to preform and present results. Taking out her phone she checked the time. It was currently 4:55. Riri was probably just waking up. Pulling up her contact information, Shuri hit the phone icon. The phone began to ring. After four rings, Shuri heard the familiar raspy morning voice she had come to love so much.
“Mm, hey baby. Everything okay.”
Shuri began to smile at the pet name.
“Yea, I just missed you.”
“Hm and I miss you too. You know I’ll be visiting soon.”
“Yea, I know, but not soon enough.”
“Shuri, if I could come sooner I would.”
“Yea, I know.” Shuri replied feeling defeated.
“Mm, what do you have planned for today?” Shuri asked.
“Well, I have class in an hour or so, the after that I have some homework to get done. What about you? I know most of the day is gone over there.”
“Yea, I had a meeting with the council today.”
“Ehh, that doesn’t sound like it was much fun.”
“It wasn’t, but I needed to get it out of the way. I have something else that needs my attention.”
“Like?” Riri asked, wanting to know what was taking up her girlfriend’s time.
“I’ll have to tell you later. It’s just some difficulties with this project.” Shuri was lying, well partially. She would tell the other woman later, but not over the phone.
“Hm, I hope it works out. You know, I miss our nights in your lab. MIT has nothing on your spot. Trust me.”
“You sure you just miss my lab?” Shuri instigated.
Riri began to laugh, “I might miss a certain scientist as well.”
“Mm, I might miss a certain MIT student as well.”
“Then you should bring your ass here.” Riri said jokingly.
“Then I’m on the way.” Shuri replied, laughing. Trying not to give away her plan. “Stop playing,” Riri laughed “I’ve got class in a few so I need to get ready, love.”
“Yea, babe of course. Talk later?”
“You know I’ll call you as soon as I can. Bye babe.”
“Bye,love.” And with that Shuri hung up her phone. Placing it on her bed side table, she began to roam her room. Gathering what few items she had planned for her trip to the states. Massachusetts to be exact. As she was packing she heard footsteps approaching behind her.
“And where are you thinking of going?” The sound of Okoye’s voice made her jump up.
“I was goin-“
“Aht, save it. I have a feeling you’re going to see a certain MIT student. Well, it’s about time. The rest of the warriors and half the nation were tired of seeing you walk around like a love sick lion cub.”
Shuri looked at Okoye in shock.
“You knew?”
“Did you honestly think you were hiding it? I don’t know how many mornings I or someone else reported you two in our quarters.”
“Wow…”
“Yea, wow, is right. Well, finish packing. I’ll go and ready a Dragon Flyer.”
Okoye turned to leave, not giving Shuri a chance to respond or change her mind.
“Ayo, owes me $10.” Okoye muttered under her breath as she exited Shuri’s room.
Shuri quickly finished packing. After checking that she had everything, she made her way to the air field.
Once she arrived she found Okoye and Aneka tending to the flyer.
“Well, glad to see you did not change your mind.” Aneka began.
Shuri gave her an annoyed look, “How long are you going to tease me about this?”
“Ohh, for a while.” Ayo added in.
“The dragon flyer’s all ready to go. Are you?” Ayo asked, knowing Shuri was hiding an array of emotions.
“Yea, as ready as I can be.”
“Well, the coordinates are locked in for whenever you’re ready to take off.” Aneka instructed.
“Thank you, both. I’ll be back in a few days.” Shuri said.
“Of course.”
“Always a pleasure to help, Shuri.” Aneka replied.
“Safe travels. And do keep us updated.” Ayo said.
“I will. Now I’ve got to go.”
Shuri boarded the small aircraft and packed her things into the small space. As the doors closed, she crossed her arms ad a form of goodbye to her warriors and they returned the gesture. The propellers and motors roared to life as Shuri took off. Now the only thing between her and Riri were the clouds.
Meanwhile, Riri was stuck doing homework. The spring semester was coming to an end which meant finals were right around the corner. Lately, she had been spending anytime outside of class studying. Riri decided it was time for a break. She looked down at the watch in her wrist. It was almost 6:30. ‘Damn’ She though. She had gotten caught up in studying. She had promised Shuri she would call her. Pulling out her phone she checked for any notifications from the other woman.
‘That’s weird.’ She thought as she didn’t see not even a text message from Shuri. Worry began to set in, but she pushed the thought to the back if her mind. It was almost 2 a.m. in Wakanda and she decided that was too late to call Shuri.
While academics had come easy to her, lately her focus had been off. She was in a constant battle of not wanting to do her work and getting it done. She could easily breeze through the assignments, yet she couldn’t find the motivation to do so. The college environment didn’t help her lack of focus either. Several nights after studying she found herself in some random dorm that was packed with too many students. Her only company being whatever cheap liquor was in her cup. She couldn’t deny she missed Wakanda and more specifically, Shuri. At a time when she needed it most, Shuri had become her strength. She grounded her, protected her, when she couldn’t do so for herself.
Riri pulled out her phone and opened the photo gallery. She scrolled until she found her favorite picture of the couple. Shuri was asleep, with her head resting on Riri’s chest. Riri found the peace Shuri exhibited to hold a certain beauty and had to capture the moment. Riri sighed heavily. She couldn’t wait until the semester was over so she could be in her girlfriend’s presence again. Trying not to get too caught up in her feelings, Riri placed the phone back in her pocket. She resumed studying.
At some point, Riri had dozed off. Falling asleep on her open advanced physics book. She found herself being awoken to a knocking on her door. She didn’t remember having setting up a meeting with any of her “clients”. Slight annoyed she got up to answer it. Rubbing her eyes and stretching she called out, “one minute.” After making sure she was decent she went to the door.
“Who is it?” Riri called out from inside the dorm.
“Open the door and find out.”
Almost instantly Riri began to smile from ear to ear. She flung the door open and capture her girlfriend’s lip’s immediately.
Breaking the kiss she all but dragged Shuri inside.
“Babe, what are you doing here?!?”
“Well, you told me to come, so, here I am.” Shuri replied with a sarcastic look on her face.
“Funny, I was wondering why I woke up and your name wasn’t on my phone.”
“Well, the signal is terrible from the flyer.” Shuri joked as she sat her bags down.
“Well, I wish it wasn’t so late.” Riri said as she checked her watch and saw it was almost midnight. She continued, “We could have went out. We can do something tomorrow if that’s okay?” She asked Shuri.
“Of course babe, I’m just happy to be here. I will admit that I am tired. Even with the flight only being seven hours, I’m exhausted.”
“Hmm, good because I am too. With finals coming up I’ve been worn out between studying and last minute assignments. And other people’s assignments.” Riri explained.
“So, how long are you here for?” Riri asked.
Shuri approached her, wrapping her arms around the shorter woman. Taking a moment to just embrace her before she had to respond about her inevitable departure.
She sighed, “A few days, unfortunately. But any time is enough with you.” She said as she pecked Riri’s lips.
Riri broke away from Shuri’s embrace and took her hand. She lead the pair to her bed. Shuri wrapped her arms around the smaller woman and Riri rested her head on Shuri’s chest.
“You know,” Riri started as she drew lazy circles on Shuri’s back, “I’m glad you’re here. I sleep a lot better when you’re around.”
Shuri smiled, “Me too. I haven’t been the only person to notice it.”
“Well, then this counts as a sleep date. Our first of many.”
“Next time, I’ll bring snacks.” Shuri stated.
Riri chuckled, “And next time, it’s at your place.”
Shuri met Riri’s eyes, “You can count on it.”
Shuri leaned in until she was inches from Riri’s face. Her eyes fell upon her lips.
Riri wasted no time in closing the gap between them. Pent up emotions finally coming to the surface and releasing themselves in this intimate moment. It was a kiss neither woman knew they wanted. After a few moments they broke apart.
“As much as I want to continue this, you’re exhausted Shuri. And I’m tired too. So before I can’t control myself let’s get some sleep, yea?”
Shuri looked at her with sympathetic eyes, “Hmm, it’s whatever you want my love.”
Riri got up to turn off her desk light. Settling into the bed she quickly found herself in Shuri’s arms’ again. Resuming their position from earlier, neither spoke as they let the tranquil silence between them lull them to sleep. It was understood between them that no words were needed right now. Just their presence. Shuri would hold Riri through as many nights as Riri allowed her to.

02:24 pm
“if i didn’t know any better, i’d say that you like me.”
shuri’s words made you freeze, your heart leaping to your throat as you stiffened at the lab’s entrance. all you had come for was an update on the dora milaje’s new armor, and yet, somehow, it had turned into the princess teasing the living hell out of you just for the sake of it. and her blunt observation hadn’t necessarily been wrong.
swallowing thickly, you licked your lips, hands balling into fists at your sides. you did like her, to put it plain and simple. but you would rather die than ever openly admit that to the queen.
“your teasing is really starting to get annoying,” you finally said. attempting to regain composure, you sighed and turned around. big mistake, you realized quickly, blanching when you came face to face with shuri. caught up in trying to simply breathe, you hadn’t heard her approach you. fuck.
the woman in front of you laughed. “i can’t help it, you’re fun to mess with, usana.”
you felt yourself straighten at the use of the mother tongue. goosebumps spread across your skin, and suddenly you thought the lab was much colder than it had been five seconds ago.
“you’re blushing,” shuri added with a smile, shifting her weight from one foot to the other.
eyebrows furrowing, you crossed your arms over your chest. rolling your eyes you said, “am not. now, if you’ll excuse me, i’m not going to entertain this conversation any longer; okoye’s waiting on me and i don’t want another lecture from her.”
shuri grabbed your wrist before you could turn back to the lab’s entrance. “either you are incredibly dense or you just aren’t into this.” you stared at her, completely confused when she motioned to herself. “i like you,” she admitted bluntly.
your eyes widened at her candid confession, and you felt your mouth run dry. this is all you’ve ever wanted to hear—what you’ve dreamed about hearing—and yet you’re rendered completely speechless, mouth opening and closing like a fish out of water.
amused at your dumbfounded expression, shuri smiled. her hand slid from your wrist to your hand, squeezing it before asking, “do you have somewhere to be tonight?”
you shook your head, completely aware of the way her warm skin felt against yours.
“good,” she nodded. “come with me tonight, out to the city.” it wasn’t a request. “i’ll come by your room around six.”
shuri waited for you to object, but when you just stood there silently, her words slowly beginning to process she leaned in to press her lips to your cheek. she liked the way you straightened and sucked in a breath.
she pulled back slowly, offering you an even bigger satisfied grin, and turned away, walking back to the lab table she had been at previous to your arrival. she left you standing in the middle of her lab, doe-eyed as you realized you finally landed a date with the woman you had been crushing on since before she had become queen.

| SHURI X RIRI - SMUT
--- SEXUAL CONTENT BELOW! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! 🤍
| SEXUAL CONTENT! |
"baby? are you done yet?" shuri asked standing beside the bathroom door. riri was in there trying something. the two have been looking for ways to take things up a notch. shuri got online, surfing the web when she stumbled upon a site for adult toys. she roamed through all the items from dildos, butt plugs, and many other things when she saw numerous of vibrating panties. that undoubtedly caught her attention so she looked at all the ones she wanted to try on riri when she bought the "Lock-n-Play Wristband Remote Panty Teaser" and it was just right for tonight's occasion. They were going out to dinner at a fancy restaurant, a public place to take advantage of riri. "yes, I'm done. It feels comfortable...that's a plus." riri muttered tugging at her dress when shuri entered the bathroom, as their eyes met. "well, we shall get going, darling." shuri said offering riri her arm. riri grabs a hold of shuri's arm as the two-headed out of the room, down the hallway. "don't be too reckless with it..." riri says looking up at shuri who smirked. "I'll try but no promises my love." shuri said looking down at riri. riri whimpered. On shuri's wrist was the wristband to control the toy inside riri's underwear.
at the restaurant, they went to their reserved room for two. their waitress for the night told them she'll be back to get their orders considering they had their finest wine in a cooler with ice on the table. she left the room and took care of others. shuri sat across from riri as she was occupied with looking at the menu. everything looks mouthwatering and had very intelligent names. shuri moves her hands under the table glancing down at the wristband- shuri bit her lip and pressed repeatedly on the + button as she peeked up at riri who jumps as she could feel it hitting her clitoris at all the right places. Riri gripped the table. "Nu-uh." shuri said instructing to put her hands down. Riri roughly bit onto her bottom lip letting the table go. "s-shuri...turn it down." riri said softly, holding back the instant moans that wanted to escape. "huh? what?" shuri teased picking her menu up. "ooo this looks delicious. might have to try that." shuri said turning it over pointing at it with her index finger. "doesn't it look delicious?" shuri asked as riri looks at her. "shu-" she starts when she let's out a small moan covering her mouth quickly. Shuri looks down at the watch seeing it was on 6. "oh shit- no wonder why she's over there about to pass out." so she turned it down to five. Riri tilts her head back, shuri glanced at her again, and made it go back to six then to a seven. Riri's eyes closed as they tightened. this felt like torture however it felt incredible. the vibrations felt unbelievable and were scrutinizing her hot spots. Riri tried taking deep breaths but she felt herself breathing heavily. Shuri inspects her movements. from her moving in her seat, leaning back in her chair, biting on her lip, moaning softly it made shuri hot as if her blood was boiling. it made her spine tingle. when she did the unspeakable.
Shuri pushed her chair back and got onto the floor but pulled the chair in. Riri opens her eyes and looks across the table seeing Shuri wasn't sitting there anymore. "Shuri?" Shuri crawled in front of riri. Shuri pulled her dress up a little just to get it out of the way. "Shuri? wait- what are you doing?" Riri questioned. "shhhh..let your daddy take care of you real quick." Shuri said when Riri opens her legs. Shuri grabbed the brim of her underwear and worked them down and removed the toy and placed it on the floor, but turned it off for the time being. Shuri started placing sensual kisses up and down her inner thigh. when Shuri got back up towards her vagina she started rubbing her clitoris before leaning forwards licking around her clitoris to tease riri. Riri moaned and whined. "Shuri..." Shuri kept it going when she started licking her on the clitoris for real. she would lick on it, starting gradually and building up the pressure and speed as she could feel riri's legs start to vibrate. Riri reached down gripping Shuri's hair. with that approach, Shuri started doing it faster. riri's moans got louder before covering her mouth. Shuri didn't care if they were to get kicked out. "let it out, baby girl." Shuri instructs as she continued to lick her clit up and down, in circles, at a nice pace. Riri moans out as Shuri inserted two fingers and fingered her right there. Shuri was pleasing her baby girl and even pulled her closer when she felt Riri pulling back from her. "S-Shuri...stop...w- ah! shit!" Riri said as she began vibrating even more. her juices flowing but Shuri didn't care she kept going. her hand grabbed her hips before sliding up her body as she was eating her out and fingering at the same time. her hand was wet from Riri's juices but this ain't nothing new to her. "SHURI!!!" Riri shouts. some people heard Riri's outburst. Shuri pulls back and chuckles. "alright alright." Shuri said fixing Riri up and then putting the vibrator in Riri's purse in a plastic ziplock bag. when she smiled at her. "I'll be right back," Shuri says walking out of the room and going to the restroom. Riri was catching her breath, running her hands through her hair. when the waitress hurried into the room. "We heard screams! Is everything alright?" She asked with an uneasy tone. "Oh yes. Sorry. She accidentally cut herself. She'll be back." Riri fibbed. The waitress smiled letting out a sigh of relief. "Oh okay! Ready to order?" She asked when Shuri strayed inside. "Yes, yes we are." As she sat down as the two glanced at each other and softly chuckled, while Shuri bit her lip.
( I hope you enjoyed 🤍 )
