What do you think amons favorite games are with his favorite little toy, I'm thinking knives and objects wound play mehaps.
Oh that happens quite often but he loves having them ask him for help, agree that they’re his and that he takes care of his beautiful things so he will heal some of the damage he’s caused. So they can breathe again or stop the blood from coming up their throat from other bleeding internals and choking them.

hello i am writing a book in which the main character experiences a lot of trauma. please tell me if i’m writing this accurately.
Note: I know that every trauma response is different based on the person and the circumstances. This character, before the trauma, is a very didactic, intelligent person, and very caring, but a little socially inept and naive. (more below the cut)
Context: Alta (our character) is dropped into a fantasy world and separated from her best friend, who leaps in to try and find her. This world has magic, both in the form of ambient magic and tangible (spellcasting) magic. When Alta enters the world, she is given one of the magic categories: the ability to heal. The problem? Healers were wiped out by a powerful ruling force called the Academy, which then proceeded to strictly control as much magic as they could.
When her friend finds her, the meetup is incredibly happy. However, the friend has been manipulated into working for the Academy, not knowing they’re evil. When Alta reveals that she is a Healer, her friend reports her to the Academy, whose officers imprison her.
The trauma: After being dragged away by the Academy, Alta is knocked out for some time. Then, she is put into an arena (still dazed) where she is forced to fight her friend, who has been brainwashed (but Alta does not know that). She suffers mild burns all over her body and a severe burn+whip scar across her face (whip doused with kerosene and lit on fire).
Then, she is locked in a cell for two years. The walls and floor are stone. Hygiene facilities, although provided, are inadequate (no toothbrushes, shower is heavily rusted, running water access is limited, sanitary/menstrual products barely work). The food is of subpar quality and barely nutritious enough to avoid malnourishment.
Temperatures rarely rise above 40F (4C), sometimes dropping below freezing at night. She is shackled to the wall and constantly being drained of any energy by machines that are meant to siphon off the Healer magic to keep it within the Academy’s control.
For the first year, Alta does her best to keep her surroundings clean. The cell is devoid of any other life, save for her and whatever bacteria and spores there may be in the air. After the first year, Alta essentially begins to lose whatever remained of her sanity (her own words, not sure if that’s the right term).
After two years, the friend from before (who has been working her way up the ranks) comes in, blows up the place, and gets Alta out of there. However, she still has severe PTSD and trust issues from what happened.
What I have written, post-character trauma:
Alta cannot clearly remember any of the actual physical trauma- only a sense of hurt and despair.
Nightmares and dissociation are frequent.
Alta is now terrified of fire, whips, and people in masks.
Alta now speaks to others in a cold, guarded way (as opposed to the warm, formal way she spoke earlier)
Alta avoids being physically or emotionally vulnerable, putting up walls to stop any further harm.
I’ve been thinking about writing a scene where she’s whispering to herself, “I don’t want this, I don’t want this” and dazedly walking towards a very high cliff, intending to jump off. (Outcome not known yet.)
She is constantly fatigued/tired, has very little energy, and is physically weaker than before.
She is very territorial and aggressively protective of what is hers.
She takes a relatively long time to forgive, even for small things.
She keeps herself occupied with self-schooling.
She has developed a habit of pulling out her hair (although it did not last for more than a few months.)
And yes, she does heal. It takes nearly a decade, but she does heal. I just want to know if I’m writing the actual trauma part correctly, since I don’t have PTSD and have not experienced any form of trauma whatsoever.
Thanks and much love,

I'm not a huge fan of the Tazercraft mental link headcanon (it's just not my cup of tea personally), HOWEVER—
I can't stop thinking about Pac in Alcatraz with his back to the wall as Cell approaches him with a cold smile on his face and a bloody knife in one hand, and Pac completely blocking Mike out because he knows something terrible is about to happen, and if he can't save himself then maybe he can at least spare Mike the graphic gory details.
And even when he’s lying on the cold concrete floor in a pool of his own blood, Pac is still trying to block everything out so he doesn't project his pain to Mike through their mental link. But ultimately, that's what scares Mike the most — the sharp flash of Pac's terror for an instant, and then silence.

The House that God Built
Aziraphale is living in the house owned by his abusers. He can’t move out, because there is literally nowhere else to go; the “house” is the entire fucking universe.
His abusers, who he cannot escape (though he can try to escape their notice, at least some of the time), constantly make him feel broken and worthless for being himself and even tried to kill him; meanwhile, they gaslight him that they are the good guys, and he is constantly walking on eggshells and dare not stand up for himself or anyone else because, while they won’t kick him out, they can make him go live in the basement like they did a bunch of other residents of that household who failed to follow the rules—rules which often don’t seem to apply to the household’s biggest bullies.
And he’s terrified of getting sent to the basement, because down there, he’d get the shit kicked out of him, and he has quite sensibly decided that at least if he’s still living upstairs, he knows which of the other residents to avoid, but if he gets sent to the basement, he has to learn all over again who is the biggest threat, and he also has to learn a new set of rules for survival—rules that everyone else down there already has a six-millennia head start on understanding and learning how to work around. He’d be a sitting duck.
And yes, he has one friend down there who could show him the ropes, but he has seen that friend get into serious trouble with the most powerful people in the basement for doing the kinds of things that Aziraphale finds admirable, so that doesn’t offer any sort of reassurance that would assuage his terror. In fact, it almost certainly reinforces it, because he knows where his own moral lines are, knows that they would punish him for not crossing them to complete his assigned duties, and suspects (probably quite rightfully) that the basement’s biggest bullies would get off on giving a newly-fallen resident the worst, most morally repugnant duties to perform, just to watch him fail and have an excuse to torture him.
So even though the upstairs part of the household doesn’t go in for torture, the threat of torture still hangs over his head if he dares to step too far out of line. And the only way that he can convince himself that any of this is okay is to constantly lie to himself that his abusers are, in fact, the good guys, and that their view of him is the correct one, even if he doesn't fully agree.
Because if it’s not okay, and he can’t escape it, then it’s Hell.

"A moment on the lips, a lifetime on the hips" being said like that's a bad thing. How beautiful is it that the memories and experiences my body has gone through will be etched into me, even if temporary, even if it isn't "flattering"? Why would I want to be alive if it meant that I am not permitted to live? And why should I avoid myself like I am a sin, like I am a curse, worse than death and pain?
I will envelop myself in layers of care and love, even if it means that I am slightly different. I will continue to do so even if I am alone. I have survived long enough. I will rest now, I will find peace.

Sources and explanations on HC-DID, TBMC and RAMCOA methods + what makes an HC-DID system
HUGE TW: VERY GRAPHIC DESCRIPTIONS OF TBMC AND RAMCOA METHODS AND EFFECTS
Mind control methods sources (note: you need to make a free account to access. Again; it’s free):
RA specific mind control method source:
Organized abuse sources (includes some RA sources) :
Explanation of fronting triggers and alter manipulation; has personal experience included:
If you don’t wanna read the graphic shit, skip to “summary:”
Within the context of dissociative identity disorder, these resources spell out a lot of what happens to HC-DID systems and how our system works. If you look at the methods used in cults as well as general mind control methods, one thing across the board is that it unfreezes, changes, and refreezes the ego(s). What does this mean for HC-DID? Well, due to the intense RA and OA trauma they were formed under, when parts are formed they are very disoriented. Perfect for this technique, especially since dissociation already aids in identity disturbance. This is where fronting triggers come in.
Most systems know that triggers bring parts to the front. Programmers also know this, and use it to their advantage. One way is that they utilize the above MC methods while a part is being formed/subjected to trauma. Example: Mr. John Doe is an alter that was formed in a rape, and during that the programmers chanted a long number string. Now whenever they need him out they chant the string the brain will be reminded of the rape, forcing him to front. Once they have a control over who fronts when, the programmers utilize their MC techniques. Isolation is already there, since DID of any form makes you isolated from your other parts.
Speaking of isolation, it’s very very easy once they have control of fronting since if they don’t want a part to see anything they won’t see it. That means a parts whole world can be entirely revolved around rape, c0rn (ykwim), being sold, etc. For example, Mr. John Doe fronts when a certain repeat client is raping the system. That’s the changing part.
The re-freezing part is also easy once you’ve got that stuff down. You make sure the part fronts a lot when their assigned role is needed by the programmers, making-like I said-the world revolve around their role. It’s all that they have, and to them it’s all they ever will have.
Summary: Since they are disoriented and controlled via RA/OA trauma and MC techniques at formation, it unfreezes the part. After that they can control when they front via association fronting triggers, and make them believe the world revolves around their assigned role. This is the changing of the part. After that, they make sure the parts world revolves around their assigned role and only that role-refreezing.
That’s pretty much it for this post. It doesn’t cover all of programming but that’s the gist on how it works. Thank you sm for reading, hope you have a great day. Bye
@crowsquackity since I promised I’d mention y’all

Kyle
YASSS KYLE ✨✨
Warning my hcs for him might look a bit ooc for anyone who doesn't literally share my brain 💀
TW: s/h, ED, attempted sewerslide, hospitalization
First thing first, this kid's mental health is Fucked Up
He gets through so much shit as a kid, which mostly keeps affecting him as he grows up
When he's a little kid, he's pretty chubby (it's your fault I hc this XD), because Sheila has him completely spoiled
But since humancentiPad be stopped eating almost completely
He couldn't eat anything without throwing up for months at first
And since then he's not been able to eat much either, even though he doesn't puke every time anymore
So yeah, he has an ED and he fucking hates it
HumancentiPad also left him with mouth scars, he hates mirrors because they force him to acknowledge them :(
His relationship with his friends also gets worse on their early teens
Mainly Cartman
The only thing keeping Kyle sane was Stan fr
Like, even if he was getting progressively worse mentally, Stan would make sure it wasn't too bad
But when Stan went to the psych ward at 15, Kyle completely broke
Between the worry for his SBF (he'd attempted Kyle had almost lost him forever fuck fuck fuck what if it happened again), and the being without him for a whole month, it fucked Kyle up so bad
Kyle basically went into a huge mania, always acting happy and cheerful and laughing even though inside he felt fucking awful
When Stan got back he felt so bad
He still stuck with Kyle the same as always :)
Only way to see Kyle's genuine smile (super rare event) is when he's with Stan<3
The only moments Kyle breaks character is when he's by himself
Like literally nobody's seen him cry since he was a little kid, even though his breakdowns are almost weekly
It's at the point that even Cartman genuinely checks on him sometimes
His immune system sucks and that's why he's sick so often
Mentally, he has HPD, an unlabeled ED and bipolar I
He's in a (hypo?)manic episode almost all the time
But he's never been hospitalized nor medicated for it
So he just. Keeps getting worse :(
Self-injury a lot
He used to hide his cuts but he gave up on it
His literal only coping mechanism is hurting himself :(
He doesn't have a specific style, but all his clothes are colorful and eye-strain-y
He keeps wearing his hat, but now it's covered in multicolor paint after he had a big episode
He reads a lot, he always has a book in his bag
At school, he's best at math and English
Not counting literature, he sucks at that
He's pretty good at geography too
His gender and sexuality are both unlabeled, but he goes by he/they
His parents care about him, but they also don't want to be the talk of all the town by getting Kyle admitted into the mental hospital
Plus Kyle insists he'll be fine so they want to believe him
He still takes care of Ike sometimes and they have an alright relationship, but they don't talk as much anymore
He'll probably be fine, eventually,,, but not yet :(

A monster witch who murderer her poor husband: This story makes me sick to my stomach
⚠️Trigger warning: violence, murder, torture, strong language⚠️
I was looking up murder stories because I was bored and I found this. When I read it, I actually cried. It made so mad and so sad. The psychological and physical torture this man had to go through is just horrific and this woman got a pleasure out of it. This worthless fucking whore beat and tortured her poor husband and starved him. If someone did that to brother/cousins/whatever, I’m LITERALLY ripping their teeth out.
Edit: she was given a 32 year minimum sentence in 2010 when she was 28 and IIRC she could possibly be eligible for parole when she’s 60 (though hopefully she never leaves prison)
