waking up every day and choosing not to give up takes a kind of strength not everyone understands. i see you, i know you're trying your absolute best, and regardless of what this world tells you, trying is more than enough. some will see and understand how hard you're fighting, and they'll love you for it.

I just wanted to ask some advice, if that's okay!! do you think there's an age that's "too old" to start pursuing a career in animation? I have a degree in it but haven't had much luck in getting work, so I took a step back for a while with the intention of trying again once I felt more ready for it, but now I'm wondering if it's too late now, like, if it's something you need to start early in your 20s?
Of course, my answer is going to be, "You're never too old to pursue work in animation!" But to try to give you a little more substance than the cookie cutter daily affirmations, I will say one of the benefits of an animation career is it's a desk job, so it's not too taxing on us older folks. Granted, you have to keep stuff in check like your posture and exercise to try and prevent hurting yourself from sitting in one space for an extended amount of time, but I've worked with many older people in this field (I'm over 40 now), and we all have many good years of animating ahead of us. That being said, you will be subject to the same hurdles any animator is up against, such as competition, work demand, and general working your way up the ladder, starting at a lower position or internship, but if you have the same drive as a younger animator, I feel you should have just as good of a chance building a career in your later life. It's great you studied earlier, so you at least have somewhat of a foundation. There are great online courses out there to get your skill up to snuff such as Animschool, Animation Mentor, or maybe Aaron Blaise's courses if 2D is your thing.
I wish you the best in whatever you choose for your future. I hope this response was helpful.

Ugh. I just need to vent for a moment. I just recently got out of a poly throple. I was invited into a relationship, when this couple were still engaged. I helped them get married. Paid for stuff blah, blah, blah. Helped take care of not only my daughter from my preivous relationship but also they're dauther they had and then their other daughter they had while we were all together. I lived with them for 3 years and we were together for 3 years, but we were friends for almost 2 years before we got together.
Well, the wife decided in December that she didnt' want me to be part of the relationship anymore and wanted to cut ties compleatly. Me and the husband had no problem with her wanting to end things, but I didn't want him to move out because of legal reasons he needed a place to have an address at. If he left he would be homless and end up in jail.
She never told me she didnt want to be together until about a month ago she asked for a break. SO I gave her space and she utimitly ended things with her husband and with me.
Me and the husband stayed together. She is going out of her way to ruien my name and call me a homewrecker. I changed my life for her and when I asked her to simply work on communication with me, she left.
I'm upset because I'm unsure how to feel.
Thanks for letting me vent. Sorry its so long.

HELP! 😭
Soo I'm flying to Malaga in about two weeks.
It's gonna be my first flight ever and I'm shitting my pants 🤡
The thing I'm most worried about is my luggage ://
Do you maybe have some tips on how to prevent it from being destroyed, someone stealing from it and for me to recognize it immediately after we land? (Idk how it's called, I was thinking about putting on some stickers and tying a ribbon but idk)

A little reminder
Just a reminder espically here on tumblr since there’s a large number of people on this platform of many different backgrounds who may not agree with each others views or feel comfortable around certain topics.
Please remember to use the block and tag filter to block content that you do not feel comfortable with (Ex: A fandom/piece of media you may not like, political/social ideologies, sensitive content, etc…) it’s there for you for you to control the content you consume. Ok?
Ok.
We’re all people with our own likes and dislikes, tolerances, and views. I cannot change people’s opinions for everything but please remember to take care of yourself.
Relax, take a breather, maybe drink some water/favorite drink of your choice or have a snack, and have a wonderful day you goofball.

Really take your time getting to know people. Don’t be so excited to connect. People have so much hidden intentions, hidden toxicity, hidden personality traits! They will do everything to impress you before showing themselves. Take your time. Say NO sometimes. Protect your peace.

I really need to vent, did you ever been sexually harassed in your life? I feel like I have never met a woman who wasn't.
I got a new job, it was like a dream job but soon I started to get harassed, I keep telling myself that it was all on my head, but things start escalating and my brother encourages me to tell my supervisor, I do, my supervisor has no trouble believing me since I'm not the first to complain but instead of telling our director he just scouts the guy, the guy starts avoiding me but a new girl comes to work with us. I knew she was gonna get harassed but I was afraid, last week she told me she was being harassed by that guy, what a surprise.
The guy saw talking to her and he starts surrounding us, he immediately knew she was telling me, he goes bad talk me to his friend, his friend comes and complains about to my supervisor.
Monday comes, he see the two supervisors and the director talking to him, we don't know what he told her, I don't know if the director knows what he been doing.
I have a friend who's friends with my director and she offered to talk with my director, what do I do now?
I'm so scary, should I let she talk with the director? What if nothing happens again, will I have to protect every new girl who comes to work with us because of that guy?

First came the storm, then came the thunder and now I am basking in the glory that is the rainbow at the end of everything! Be patient with those random throws of lows, sometimes they are there to clear the way for some greatness — no matter how small or big that greatness may be.

I Decline, But Thank You.
More and more I find that people are creating new words and subcultures with their own language. Though I encourage subcultures to express themselves verbally in a way that make sense for them, I find that many try to impose their subculture and vernacular subculture onto me and my vernacular.
I found that most that try to impose their language on me don't always react well to this, but to those I value speaking with, they understand and are okay with just the acknowledgement that the terms exist for them without needing to force acculturation upon others around them.
This is how I respond. I begin by acknowledging the terms and meaning by asking questions of clarification and then if I do not wish to take them on into my own vocabulary, I say.
"I appreciate you sharing the vernacular of your subculture however I do not require the addition of these terms nor do I feel obliged to the merger of your vernacular with that of mine."
And as sometimes I can come off a little harsh, I sometimes add in a "I wish you well." Or "Thank you for sharing the meaning of your words so that I am able to understand them if they come up in conversation with others within your culture."
Then I go about my business.
This statement expresses gratitude for someone sharing the language or terminology associated with their subculture. However, it also conveys that the person, me, is not interested in adopting or using these terms themselves, nor do they feel obligated to merge or combine the subculture's language with their own. It's a polite way of acknowledging the gesture while politely declining to incorporate those specific terms into their own vocabulary. The closing phrase "I wish you well" indicates a positive and friendly sentiment despite the difference in language usage.
Though it is nice to be polite and listen, you are by no means required to implement someone else's views, words, beliefs, or culture upon yourself. I love when others share with me, but I myself, even when I share, do not expect someone to change for me or adapt to my desires. You should not feel obligated, pressured or bullied into following another person's desire.
You are capable of listening and deciding for yourself, by way of values and principles, what is good for you.
