Ok kenma is so very aro and so very gay. My favorite dynamics of his are bokuakakuroken and kenhina but he really gives platonic vibes even in those ships. i love the idea that hes aroace but still dating bokuto, kuroo and akaashi who also give various aspec vibes btw. i think i just really like characters in poly relationships where one part is platonic but means just as much because im self conscious about how much my friends care about me lol. but anyway. it’s obvious that kenma really likes hinata, we see it when they first meet and kenma just immediately gets a squish on him and then in the timeskip where he sponsors hinata like omg theyre so ahhh. i think he just really likes being around hinata and finds him fascinating. canon really encapsulates the beginning of a squish for me like kenma is just so intrigued and really finds hinata to be a really fun person to be around and opens up to him much more easily than anyone and i will die on platonic kenhina hill!!!

i talked a bit about kenkagehina in my aro hinata post but ill talk about it again. i think that kenma would be very competitive about hinatas attention at first and even later but after some time kageyama grows on him and they have a quiet understanding of each other. i dont think they would be dating in the polycule just mutually connected by hinata but i think their relationship matters a lot nonetheless.

kenma is the type of person to be really into relationship anarchy. like he probably wouldn’t understand why others put romantic relationships above everything else and he likes to let his relationships figure themselves out and never really picks a most important relationship.

also he and kuro have just such a good dynamic and they lowkey remind me of a childhood friend of mine who i used to have a squish on lol. they are just so good as best friends and i love how much they understand each other. they also give semi sibling vibes, obviously found family siblings so i think they would be much more cuddly with each other since theyre just used to it.

also i love thinking of all the dynamics in bokuakakuroken and one of my favorites is definitely bokuken. i think they compliment and understand each other much more than one would think and bokuto is probably a lot more reserved around kenma but in a relaxed way. kenma understands bokutos slumps and is there to confort him when he needs it and bokuto is an easy person for kenma to be around because he doesnt feel like he has to talk if he doesnt want to and now im just talking about how theyre both neurodivergent and- ahhhh

he hates being touched except by like 3 people

kuroo had a crush on kenma in middle school and kenma rejected him on accident and didnt even know until years later when kuroo told him

he took a lot of am i gay quizes and always got like 50% so he thought he was bi for a bit

❥ kuroo — every now and then, he has a moment of clarity. he’ll look at you and feel nothing but gratefulness that the universe allowed for you to exist at the same time as him. kuroo especially feels it when he comes home to your shared apartment much later that expected, only to find you on the couch waiting for him with a smile.

❥ suna — his phone is filled with videos of the two of you doing the dumbest things: from riding shopping carts to doing the most extra karaoke duets. suna likes to look back on these moments when the two of you are apart for moments at a time, the look in his eyes fond and warm when he takes in features even through his phone, excited to come home to you.

❥ atsumu — most of the people he’s dated are unable to keep up with his biting wit, getting annoyed when he pushes their buttons instead of firing back like he wanted them to. but then, he met you, someone who’s tongue is just as sharp yet smooth as his. atsumu’s heart races at your words, no matter what they may be : a teasing remark or a genuine compliment.

❥ hinata — all his life, he’s been told that he’s too loud. too frenzied. just a little too much for anyone to handle. you’re the only person who has never asked him to tone it down, even attempting to match his energy sometimes. hinata often looks at you when he’s nervous he’s being too much, but all he sees is you nodding in encouragement, and any ounce of doubt in himself disappears.

Aaand it comes full circle! In the beginning, there was a lot of emphasis put on how vital Hinata’s relentless faith in Kageyama was in order for the freak quick to work.When Hinata jumped, that very first quick and every quick after, he does so with the surefire belief that the ball will come to him. He’s got faith in Kageyama, and his skills and now, when Hinata’s been hindered at every turn and all their attempts keep getting blocked, it’s Kageyama’s turn to wholeheartedly trust Hinata, enough to give him an open set against one of the best defensive teams in the manga.

★ nishinoya wants to live life to the fullest and wants to devote all of his time to you, exploring the world with no limitations, so he doesn't think twice about it, giving you a sweet kiss. "if i'm with you, i'll be more than alright babe. you and me til the end, yeah?"

★ oikawa agrees all too quickly, offering a very serious "we need all your focus to be on me, really, so this is ideal." you roll your eyes but he brushes it off with a smile, pulling you in by your waist to look into your eyes fondly. "and we can buy that dream-house you've always wanted, hm? what do you say?"

★ tendou just smiles and pulls you in close, "good, i didn't really want any of those little gremlins running around here anyway––ugh and the diapers? gross––and then the Money, babies are way too expensive you know–" he knows just what to say to make your worries dissolve and you smile at him gratefully but he pretends not to notice, kissing your forehead softly.

Getting into a fight with Hinata or Kageyama because maybe you dont have as much of a drive for your sport as they do so when they see you maybe slacking off the fight starts?? Sorry if this is bad :/

↪ while hinata is someone who is very empathic and understanding, his personality can shift slightly when it comes to sports

↪ he simply can’t understand someone who does a sport and doesn’t give it their all. i feel like he finds it extremely disrespectful, in a way, towards the team (since the team is putting all their effort into it, and even if it’s a sport you can play on your own you’re still in a place with people who take it very seriously), towards the game itself and towards everyone else who isn’t able to play a sport and would like to

↪ he probably takes it very personally because he had to work three times as hard because of multiple factors, like his height, the fact that there was no boys team in his school, etc etc

↪ he can’t understand why someone would join a sport and just not give it their all. why are they even there in the first place? if they want to play for fun, they should play it for fun in their own time, not join a couple and slack off during practise and become an obstacle for everyone else who is trying their hardest

↪ at least that’s the way he phrases it. he’s not very good at explaining that in reality he might just be projecting old insecurities into his s/o, knowing he himself never had the time to slack off

↪ he doesn’t like fighting, but we all know that particular look hinata gets when it’s about volleyball, and it would be the same when he finds his s/o is home skipping ‘yet another day’ of practise because they don’t feel very good

↪ he starts questioning them like ‘so you’re gonna train extra hard when you do feel okay, right?’ ‘you’ll ask your team what they practised today and make sure you focus on that, right?’ and completely overwhelming them

↪ it takes some time but i feel like it would be possible to get him to understand that someone not being extremely passionate doesn’t mean they’re slacking off, it means they don’t have the same drive as him and that’s okay. it also won’t affect the team because they don’t necessarily play as a starter (or they wouldn’t if their ‘slacking’ made them bad)

↪ he would apologise once he understood. he doesn’t mean to be rude, i think he just turns out to be very blunt when it’s about sports. since he gives it his all, he finds it hard to see other people not doing the same

Hinata Natsu & Ono Adventures

Well, that didn’t take very long. Here is another mini-hc list of Natsu’s backup sitter nicknamed, “Ono-sama” by Hinata Natsu, fairy queen of the Hinata family garden.

Ono-chan, or as you were affectionally called, Ono-sama, by your neighbor’s adorable four year old one afternoon when she invited you to her kingdom tea party one day after school. You were never one to disappoint the literal chibi-tangerine child, so you hadn’t corrected her since even when her mother (or her brother) would ask you to watch her when there was errands to be ran (or volleyball practice ran late).

Being neighbors with the Hintata-fam was always filled with simple pleasures. You’d come over their house on multiple occasions since you were two years older than Sho-kun. Your parents would always invite the siblings over for holidays or festival days since the day you moved across the street. Even with your part time apprenticeship at the local bakery, you always put in 500 yen together for the siblings for the new year.

Today was the end of the week. Your classes were dismissed once the final bell rang; you went to gather your things across the courtyard when you saw a tiny blur of orange run by you. You know that orange hue anywhere and you scrambled to find your phone to see if you had any missed texts from the matriarch of the Hinata family asking you to babysit since she had errands to run that afternoon, but you were greeted by bubbles instead floating over head. You blinked and it popped in your face.

You breathe a sigh of relief knowing that no such text was received. Instead, you decide to let your curiosity to guide your feet until you find Natsu dressed in her over alls blowing bubbles from her bubble wand. She wasn’t alone you come to find out quickly (because the volleyball club was about a ten feet away from where she stopped running) as soon as you entered her line of sight.

“Ono-sama!” Natsu exclaimed as she ran up to you after closing her bubble wand. You bent down to give her a greeting hug. She immediately asked to be picked up like how you used to hold her when she was three and you humbly oblige.

“Take me over there! I wanna see Sho-nii chan!” she said in excitement. You found the volleyball club donned in their white shirts and shorts spread throughout the other half of the courtyard. Your hair was tied in a high ponytail, but your long hair cascaded over your blazer. Today was ribbons day, so you braided a short orange ribbon behind your bangs which peaked out over your shoulder.

“Who’s that with your sister Hinata-kun?” upon entering their space, I heard this question thrown around by one of the other first years who I could only assume was their secondary manager for the year. “Oh! That’s Ono-senpai. Our neighbor, Yachi-san.” Hinata answered with a smile. He took another sip of water from his bottle he was holding. “I heard she’s really kind & that she likes to bake coffee cakes,” you said when you were close enough.

You placed Natsu down on the grass and watched as she continued to blow bubbles while spinning around in circles (this time letting the natural breezes blow them for her). “Hey there Sho-sho.” You heard the other members of his team snicker at his nickname, mainly because he blushed a little bit.

“Ono-senpai’s here?” the voice belonging to one of the second years’ asked. You nodded with a small grin. “That’s my name. How you guys doing? Taking a break I see.” You raised your left hand up midway and waved before placing it by your side again.

You didn’t really notice that one of them scurried off to drag their captain away from going over the stats with their head manager, whom you’ve shared a class with this last semester (Shizumi and I were assigned lab partners for the previous term).

“What’s so important that--oh hey Ono,” he greeted before shooting a glare at the second year who whistled while looking away in the distance before joining Natsu and he others at a bubble blowing competition. “Hey yourself captain-san,” you returned the greeting. “Come to watch practice? Sorry we’re not doing anything exciting right now.”

You chuckled before explaining that it was alright. “I wasn’t going to stay long, Daichi. It’s my turn to lock up the bakery tonight, so if you want a cup of tea, I’ll keep the light on for you? Maybe we can do thi--” you were cut off by a flurry of bubbles covering his amused face.

Tanaka, who you found out his name when he was called by Yachi-chan, called out to us: “DAICHI! QUIT YOUR FLIRTING AND TAKE HER UP ON THAT OFFER!”

You noticed how the captain’s blushed crept up all over his face and honestly, you thought he might have had his soul escape from his body for a minute. “How does tomorrow at three sound?” You asked looking a scant. Your tone was kind when you scratched my cheek. Natsu gave you a thumbs up because she thought her bubbles were magical in getting her brother’s captain to agree to your impromptu proposal. Okay I've been having this baby fever funk for like 2+ weeks now so I'm gonna try to write it away😁 Also think of this as a late Father's Day special!

Kageyama

When you tell him your pregnant he just grabs your stomach and says "baby" 💀 and then kisses it and snuggles you for the rest of the day not letting you move

He would cook for you as much as he could while your pregnant trying to get you to eat good food

I feel like he would cook with his kid, like make you breakfast in bed a lot if he could

Everyone on his team would be flabbergasted when you showed up with a big round swollen belly delivering something he forgot. They would just stop and stare in disbelief.

Kageyama isnt the type to brag about you guys getting pregnant so no one obviously knew and everyone was shooketh

When your early on in your pregnancy he would sleep on your stomach all the time just cause he finds it comforting

He would get your kid a volleyball to play with

He would teach them just like his grandfather taught him

He wouldnt pressure them into playing if course but he would still teach them

If they did decide they wanted to persue volleyball he would gladly coach them

Hinata would get so excited and would get so hype to have a little person to play volleyball with

Bokuto would be such a hands on dad

He would go to every event, take part in every tea party or battle his kids wanted him apart of, he would even let them play with his hair and make him "pretty"

Very gentle. But once old enough definetely playfully throws around your kid.

Like he'll through your kid onto the couch or bed. He'd also just swing them around as a way of playing with them.

He would kiss your baby bump everyday before he went to bed and before he went to work and when he left for work.

Like if your kid is barely walking or just starting to walk and they fall over he would say "It's okay, up you go!"

If he was the first one to become a father he would brag about it so much. He would text the old inarazaki group chat and tell everyone

Kita would congratulate him and he would cry, actually sob and you'd be freaking out asking what's wrong and he would show you the chat and you'd be like oh...okay
