S/O suffers from sleep paralysis
Tumblr media
Requested by anonymous: Anyone from The Untamed you want with a reader who has sleep paralysis? She tries to alert her husband but she can't because she can't talk or move, but she still manages to alert her husband and he then tries to help her?
Pairing: (Wuxian, Jiang Cheng, Huaisang) x fem!reader
Warnings: slightly suggestive bullet point at the end, except for that none
Tumblr media
Wei Wuxian:
Wuxian seems like a heavy sleeper
so even when you could move and shove him, he probably wouldn't awake
but he also has a sixth sense for trouble
(how else does he survive so easily through everything)
so when you wake up, only to find out that you couldn't move a muscle
it is concerning
the room is dark and yet you can see shadows, even though they aren't actually there
you want to move desperately, but you just can't and thus you chose to just screw your eyes shut in hope that it would somehow make you feel less afraid
luckily for you, Wuxian usually magically awakens when this happens
and when he sees you, he immediatley knows that something is wrong
even when he doesn't really know what is wrong
he quickly wakes you up, shaking you awake before hugging you closer to him
he's the type to not sleep again until he is sure that you're okay
doesn't agree if you tell him that you don't want to sleep
even when you explain why you don't want to sleep, he insist that you still need to
will hug you until you sleep eventually
he's afraid of it happening again and doesn't want to go to sleep before you
always wait for about an hour after you fall asleep
just to be sure
will also gladly take your scolding for it
Jiang Cheng:
this guy is a very light sleeper
I think he wakes up three or four times in the night
it would take him a few seconds to notice that you laid awake
yet you didn't answer him when he asked why you were up
that's when he notices that something is wrong
shakes you awake and flinches as you suddenly sit up
you cry as you explain what had happened
he listens carefully to your story, still a bit confused why it had happened
stays awake with you until you calm down
although he doesn't like physical contact too much, he still holds you in his arms
when you do go back to sleep, he opts to hold your hand instead
stays awake a bit longer, staring at you as you fall asleep
this time a peaceful sleep where your mind isn't playing mind tricks on you
when you're finally peacefully asleep, he follows
his hand remains in yours throughout the whole night
he also moves to wrap his arms around you
it's quite a funny morning
Nie Huaisang:
honestly, he's probably awake
insomniac of the trio
either he's painting or brooding
he notices when your eyes open, but you looked fearful if anything
he first thought you had a nightmare, but when you don't move he gets concerned
call out to you a few times before effectively waking you up by shaking you awake
he's weirded out by your story, but doesn't show it on his face
instead he just tries to calm you down
will get anything you need
you want food, he'll wake up the kitchen staff and asks if they can make you something
you want to just cuddle, he'll smother you with kisses while doing so
he'll make sure that you wouldn't panic again
if you decide to sleep, he will hug you close to him as a sort of reassurance
if you don't want to sleep, he'll stay awake with you and get your mind off of it
and he isn't opposed to helping you sleep in other ways ;)

I’ve been living with an empty space in my heart after finishing The Untamed and Word of Honor, coming here to read some good fics and finding none for WoH and only a few for MDZS (which I already have read all)
Like there are a lot of beautiful and fic-able(? characters in both shows ????

My favorite Mo Dao Zu Shi fanfictions pt. 1
Ever since I've fallen down the Mo Dao Zu Shi / The Untamed rabbit hole, I've discovered lots of nice fanfictions that I think many others would also enjoy.
Jade Dragon [Lan Xichen x Reader] by lily. ->Summary: "Wei (Y/n) didn't know about her twin brother, when she knew about him she departed from The Celestial Mountains to find him and got involved in the matters of the cultivation world... But What happens when a certain Sect Leader and the Wei Sister fall for each other?" ->What I think: If you love Lan Xichen, don't miss out on this one. Wei (Y/n), a disciple of Baoshan Sanren, separated from her twin brother, Wei Wuxian, at a young age due to her unique powers, leaves the Celestial Mountains to help her brother after a recurring dream that seems to signify the arrival of chaos and violence in the mortal world. First encountering an injured, unconscious Lan Xichen with Meng Yao, their relationship starts building up during the Sunshot Campaign, later resulting in sweet, precious moments like Lan Xichen spoiling (Y/n), raising Wei Lifen, an orphaned child adopted by Wei (Y/n), together, and their life in the Cloud Recesses. Lots of turns and twists in this story, so prepare yourself for one heck of a plotline. ->Ships: Lan Xichen x Reader, Wei Wuxian x Lan Wangji, Jiang Cheng x Wen Qing, Jiang Yanli x Jin Zixuan ->Where to read: Wattpad (published up to chapter 39), Quotev (complete, with all 70 chapters) Sequel: The Broken Fall (work in progress; published up to Chapter 14 on Quotev) ->Summary: "Fate deals a cruel blow to Wei (Y/n) when she loses her brother and later tragically her child. This devastating loss pushes Hexia-zun to her breaking point, and she finds herself teetering on the edge of a dark path. With each step she takes, the line between right and wrong become increasingly blurred, and her actions have unforeseen consequences. Will Lan Xichen ever know the secrets his wife started to keep? Will he ever be able to pull her out of the dark abyss?"
A Fog and A Flame || XiCheng by WhydaWannaKnowHuh ->Summary: "The first thing Lan Xichen saw when his consciousness returned to him was skin. Some of it snow white: that was his skin. The rest was a shade darker, tanned and caressed by the sun all its life. Beneath him, panting, breathing hard, hair loose and sprawled out around him. Those dark almond eyes half-lidded, filled with a desire so strong it felt like falling. It was not hard to guess what had been happening." ->What I think: It sounds like there is some more mature content in there, but it's only implied, not described (rated Teen on AO3). As we all know, Lans cannot handle alcohol. Despite knowing it, Lan Xichen still drank, not bothering to expel it through his golden core, leading to a chaotic night with Jiang Cheng. This was a really nice read: The author, while writing good depictions of the characters used, managed to showcase Lan Xichen's love and caring for Lan Wangji, while building up a pretty realistic and well-planned relationship between the two of them. A special chapter at the end featuring the PoV of Lan Yuxin, a young disciple of the Gusu Lan Sect, who was told to keep guard outside Lan Xichen's room, making it all the more enjoyable. ->Ships: Lan Xichen x Jiang Cheng, Wei Wuxian x Lan Wangji ->Where to read: Quotev (complete and published with 11 chapters and an extra), AO3 (complete, written in oneshot format with an extra)
Rewrite the stars by moonlit_dewdrops ->Summary: "What if Jiang Cheng found out about the golden core earlier? What if he had tried pulling Suibian out from its sheathe right after recovering the sword from the Wens? AU story about how Jiang Cheng and Wei WuXian's relationship is affected by the suddenly reveal of truth and how it will affect the rest of the plot" ->What I think: A much happier plot the the original. In this fanfiction, Jiang Cheng and Wei Wuxian's relationship does not get ruined like it did originally and the Wen remnants actually get a happy ending instead of being killed. Personally, I sympathize with Jiang Cheng, so I love to see the stories where he and Wei Wuxian have a close bond as brothers and that Jiang Cheng gets a happy ending. If you're looking for something warm and shows Wei Wuxian, Jiang Cheng, and Jiang Yanli's relationship, read this one. You won't regret it. ->Ships: Wei Wuxian x Lan Wangji, Jiang Cheng x Wen Qing, Jiang Yanli x Jin Zixuan ->Where to read: Wattpad (complete and published with 23 chapters and a prologue), AO3 (complete with additional ten-part fanfic with extras)
The Twin Prides of Yunmeng Wake Up In The Past by HarukiUsagi46 ->Summary: "After the dual between Wei Wuxian and Jiang Wanyin, the two of them doesn't know that when they fall asleep that night they don't know what is about to happen to them. While sleeping in his bed Wei Wuxian hear, "A-Xian time to wake up. A-Cheng and you already sleep pass your breakfast." Wei Wuxian shot straight up, 'Jiang shushu? No way, isn't he suppose to be dead,' Wei Wuxian look around the room, 'I'm back? I'm back in my room, back in Lotus Cove. No way is this happening.' "A-Xian, I'm coming in," when the door open Wei Wuxian eye went wide, 'Jiang Shushu' he got out of bed, rush toward Jiang Fengmian and hugged him. This surprise Jiang Fengmian a lot since Wei Wuxian never gave him a hug, "A-Xian what's wrong?" "I.....I....I'm just so happy to see you again Jiang Shushu," 'I will do my best to change the past,' "Oi Wei Wuxian!" Wei Wuxian look out the door to see a heavy breathing Jiang Cheng. "A-die can I talk to Wei Wuxian?" Wei Wuxian and Jiang Fengmian let go of each other, " Okay but don't take too long, you both need to be at the training field to train okay?" The two boy nodded their head, Jiang Fengmian left the two of them along. When Jiang Fengmian is gone, Jiang Cheng walk into Wei Wuxian room and closed the door. "WEI WUXIAN WHAT IN THE WORLD IS GOING ON HERE? HOW IN THE HELL DID WE END UP HERE IN THE PAST?!" What will the two boys do? Will they change the past? Will they keep everyone alive including the Wen remnant? ->What I think: I just love fanfics that showcase the bond between Jiang Cheng and Wei Ying, okay? This is another good example of one. After their planned duel, the two of them find themselves in the past, determined to change everything for the better. Plus, the Wen remnants actually got the happy ending they deserved AND Xue Yang got to have a nice life in this, too! So many MDZS-related things I love to see compiled in one... ->Ships: Wei Wuxian x Lan Wangji, Jiang Cheng x Lan Xichen, Jiang Yanli x Jin Zixuan ->Where to read: Wattpad (complete with all 23 chapters)

Injury caused love?
Tumblr media
Requested by anonymous: hi hi lovie!! i love your writings so much!! they are so freaking good!! could i make request please? can i request a jiang cheng x fem!reader who’s a healer from the lan clan? she mainly is brought along on most missions, acting as the head doctor/healer of most of the clans; almost as good as wen qing. reader interacts with jiang cheng a lot bc jin ling is always getting injured. reader has the motherly/older-sister vibe; always taking care and letting some of the students (mostly sizhui and jingyi) sneak into their infirmary at night for snacks or comfort. jiang cheng and reader? OBLIVIOUS HOPELESS ROMANTIC AND TSUNDERE. nie huaisang, lan xichen, jin guangyao, and wangxian all bully them for their stupidity </3 even the juniors try getting them together,,, jin ling accidentally calls the reader auntie in front of jiang cheng,,, so soft for jiang cheng…i love
Pairing: Jiang Cheng x fem!reader
Word Count: 2706 words
Warnings: none
A/N they don't get together in the end, if you want I'll make a part 2 where they get together, but only after I've finished all other requests :)
Tumblr media
You stared at the boys in front of you, trying to wrap your head around the story they just told. Mostly you were confused at how Jin Ling happened to be the victim since the boy was usually the one to not get injured. Nonetheless, you quickly told them to sit down before grabbing everything.
"Alright. Sizhui, hold this on his arm and put a lot of pressure on it. I have to get some herbs first, I'll be back in a few minutes." You said as you handed the towel to Sizhui before walking out of the room.
You looked through your stash, not much further from your practice and got the necessary herbs before walking back too your practice, only to be stopped halfway by Xichen, Mingjue and Jiang Cheng.
"Clan leaders." You bowed your head at them and Xichen gave you a warm smile.
"This is (y/n), she's our most skilled healer." He explained to the other two, who nodded in response.
"I apologize, but I have to goo back to my practice. Jin Ling got hurt." You said, the last part a bit more to Jiang Cheng. Jiang Cheng didn't seem to react at first, but it seemed to hit him afterwards at what you said.
"Jin Ling got hurt?" "Yes, I don't remember the whole story though. Something happened with a sword and a cliff, I couldn't follow well." You explained before quickly bowing and running off.
You entered your practice again, staring at the boys who were eating snacks.
"You stole my food stock..." You mumbled and Jingyi smiled happily.
"You're lucky I like you guys." You commented to which they all smiled brightly (except for Jin Ling, who was still in pain of course). You stepped closer to Jin Ling and crouched in front of him as you started to inspect and treat the wound quickly.
"Will it scar?" Jingyi asked and you nodded shortly as you continued to wrap the bandage around his arm.
"Definitely. You should start making up a story to tell to others." You joked as you looked up to Jin Ling.
"Battled a giant demon dog!" Jingyi shouts and you can't help but laugh.
"Those don't walk around anymore, a-Yi." "But it'd be awesome!" He commented again before taking a bite of his (your) food. You rolled your eyes as you finished up the bandaging before getting up.
"How about a wolf instead?" You commented as you started to wash your hands in the bowl of water while listening to Jingyi whine. You could hear Jin Ling cuss at Jingyi while Zizhen just laughed and you saw Sizhui shake his head with a smile.
"Don't come back here too often." You said with a smile as you put everything away again.
"Now, out." You said with a smile, pointing at the door. They all quickly ran out, Jingyi managing to grab some food before leaving.
Despite that, they somehow managed to land in your practice every week. It was mostly Jin Ling who got hurt and you learned that Jin Ling was extremely unlucky and unhandy. A combination that usually doesn't go well. You spend way more time with the junior quartet, because they also came by just to hide from lessons or just to get some snacks (which you now bought double from what you usually bought).
Having Jin Ling in your practice constantly also meant that Jiang Cheng came over more often, usually to bring Jin Ling home/to his room since Jin Ling always fell asleep at the practice. Sometimes, he stayed a bit longer and you got to talk to him a bit more.
You then, of course, started to develop a crush on the man.
You were sure that it was obvious, the snickering of Jingyi said enough. Even Sizhui couldn't help but smile every time Jingyi was snickering while Zizhen tried to make them quiet down.
But of course, the visits didn't stop. Jin Ling was back again every week, joined by his friends of course. But this week was the worst.
Jin Ling was laying on the bed, leg propped up as you tried to stop the bleeding while trying to talk to Sizhui about what had happened.
"We were practicing and the sword broke." Sizhui explained and you turned your head while holding pressure on the leg.
"You got a sword in his leg?" You asked and Sizhui nodded before you turned back to Jin Ling.
"Ever heard of practice sword? You know, the wooden one." You said and he looked away in shame, not answering the sarcastic remark. You started to remove the pressure before getting a needle.
"Sizhui, go get his uncle." You said as you started to stitch the wound, after putting a cloth in Jin Ling's mouth so he wouldn't break his teeth. It took awhile and Jin Ling had passed out from the pain earlier, you couldn't blame the poor boy. Jiang Cheng arrived just as you finished the stitching, eyes cast on the cut as well as all the blood on your hands.
"Good, you're here." You said as you got up, cleaning your hands once more in the basin of water, which had already turned red. Once your hands were clean, you took bandages from the table and started to wrap it around his leg.
"He won't be able to walk for awhile, so please make sure he doesn't. I know how stubborn your family can get. He'll also need to take certain medicines every 2 hours or so for 3 to 4 days." You said before glancing at Jiang Cheng, who was still staring at his nephew and you could spot worry in his eyes.
"He's fine, don't worry too much. You're free to stay until he wakes up." You got up again when you finished wrapping Jin Ling's leg and Jiang Cheng sat down near the bed, eyes now cast towards the broken sword pieces that you had pulled out of the wound.
"What happened?" "The sword broke and hit his leg. These boys don't seem to know the consequences of practicing with actual swords." You replied with a chuckle as you grabbed some tea, offering a cup to Jiang Cheng who gratefully accepted it.
"Is getting hurt also something that runs in your family?" You asked and he looked up, shrugging softly.
"I mean, you got hurt pretty often as well. My teacher healed you quite often." You joked and you could see the wheels turning in his head before it seemed to click.
"You were that girl always watching from the side?" He asked and you nodded, smiling brightly at the thought that he remembered you. You continued to talk and for the first time, he actually tried to hold up the conversation as well.
From then on, everything seemed to take a turn.
Jiang Cheng would greet you if he saw you and sometimes he would converse in conversation , but those conversations weren't very long most of the time. Sometimes his friends (especially Huaisang and Wuxian) were with him and they often gave you a smile, but you could see the twinkle in their eyes. Sometimes the other leaders were with him, Xichen and Guangyao often gave you a sweet smiles, and you couldn't help but feel a bit uneasy every time. Even their smile seemed to hide a certain mischief. You were well aware that they all knew by now, after all Wangji's blunt comments about 'you staring at Jiang Cheng like a puppy in love' (and Wuxian and Huaisang's snickering after said comment) usually did the trick.
Now, they would always approach you while dragging Jiang Cheng behind them. They would start a conversation, trying to get Jiang Cheng to join the conversation at all cost while trying to not make it obvious (and failing miserably in your opinion). Jiang Cheng didn't seem to notice however and just curtly answered the questions thrown his way. He didn't seem particularly happy when he was near you, frown permanently shown on his face as he stood near you as he waited to leave the conversation. It was something you were quite annoyed by. Not because of him, but rather the fact that he was forced to meet you by his friends. So you asked them to stop and they did, much to their annoyance.
But you did see him a few more times again, mostly for Jin Ling's checkups. He'd just sit in the corner, staring as you cleaned his nephew's wound.
"A-jiě?" Jin Ling spoke in a whisper and you glanced up to him, giving him a small nod.
"What is it?" You whispered back and he glanced at his uncle before getting a bit closer to you.
"Uncle is staring at you..." "Don't be ridiculous A-Ling." You said, flicking his forehead softly with a disapproving chuckle before continuing to clean his wound. The boy couldn't help but smile a bit, something you couldn't help but smile in return to. Seeing the boy smile was still something new and it didn't happen that often, so you were always happy when you did see him smile.
"I'm sure about it, a-jiě. He has that look in his eyes." Jin Ling said and you looked up again, hands freezing in place before you took a glance at Jiang Cheng as well. His gaze was focused to the two of you, but you suddenly did notice his eyes shifting to you every few seconds as they lingered on your form.
"Well, a-Ling. You might be right for once." You commented, a small smirk appearing on your face to which Jin Ling smiled again.
When you finished cleaning and rebandaging Jin Ling's leg, you asked Jiang Cheng to wait for a second while Jin Ling limped out.
"You know, Jin Ling told me something." You said and he looked at you in confusion, waiting for you to continue.
"He said you were staring at me. I don't think so.... Unless you were?" You teased, eyes moving to his figure and smiling slightly when you noticed how his ears had turned red slightly as he stared in front of him.
"I'll see you later, I have to collect some stuff." You said before walking off, leaving the man standing in front of your practice.
You didn't see him for a few days after that and you couldn't help but feel a bit weird about it. Nonetheless, you continued with your routines. Taking care of some of the younger disciplines, clean your practice and getting ready to have your practice raided by the junior quartet. The food that you had gotten was gone by the end, most of it by Jingyi, and that was even after you bought extra.
"I just went to the market and you already ate all of it?" You asked as you looked in the cabinet and Jingyi gave a cheeky smile as he ate the last candy, happily eating it.
"A-jiě, when are you and clan leader Jiang getting together?" He then asked, receiving a shove from Jin Ling before looking at Sizhui for help as he tried to block Jin Ling's attacks.
"A-Ling!" The boys paused and you sighed.
"If you're going to hit him, do it where no one sees." You commented and you saw betrayal flash in Jingyi's eyes while Jin Ling just smirked before he started pocking the elder in the ribs. You just shook your head at the two before continuing your stitching on Jin Ling's robe. Then you could suddenly hear shouting and frowned, laying down your work and peaking your head out of the door. You could see Wuxian walking around, Jiang Cheng hot on his heels with an annoyed look. You were then pulled back by Jin Ling.
"Don't tell them we're here..." He begged and you looked at them, all a bit afraid of the consequences of sneaking out, and you scoffed with a smile before nodding and walking out of the practice.
"What's wrong with you two?" You asked as you looked at both men, but only Wuxian stared your way.
"Have you seen Sizhui? Or the others?" He asked and you could hear he was quite concerned.
"Why, what happened?" You returned and Jiang Cheng stepped forward.
"Some disciplines say that they saw them being dragged off and Wuxian is paranoid." He said, receiving a glare from the other (which Jiang Cheng gladly returned).
"I'm sure they're fine, a-Xian." You said and he huffed.
"You two should get married, makes bullying me much easier." He grumbled and you rolled your eyes with a laugh while Jiang Cheng just rolled his eyes.
"Very funny. You're just not thinking rationally. We both just acknowledge that." Jiang Cheng said and Wuxian just huffed again.
"You two fit each other." And then he just walked off, leaving you and Jiang Cheng alone. You looked at him and found him already looking your way, ears red once more.
"Don't be too hard on him, he's just worried." You said and Jiang Cheng nodded shortly.
"Are you not?" "Jin Ling can defend himself, he'll be fine." He answered curtly and you flicked his head harshly, making the man flinch before looking at you in shock.
"That's your nephew, at least act like you care." You commented angrily before walking back to your practice, seeing 4 pair of eyes stare at you intently.
"What?" You asked and Jin Ling spoke up first.
"You and uncle sound like a married couple..." He said and you felt your face heat up at the comment. But then you saw the terror in their eyes and turned your head, Jiang Cheng standing in the doorway with a stoic expression.
"We'll be on our way then..." Sizhui commented before dragging the other 3 with him and past Jiang Cheng quickly before they all broke into a sprint.
"Bye, auntie." Jin Ling shouted and you saw Jiang Cheng frown as he watched his nephew run out with a smile before he turned back to you.
"You lied about seeing them." "I never said whether I saw them or not nor did anyone give me the chance to say it." You said as you sat down, grabbing Jin Ling's robe up again.
"Is that Jin Ling's?" "Yes, it is. He tripped again and it ripped, so I'm stitching it. You should buy him some new clothes, some have over 20 stitch-spots. I'm losing all my thread on these, I'm tempted to use a different color to make it noticeable." You joked and Jiang Cheng rolled his eyes again, grumbling something under his breath.
"What are you grumbling about? Asking yourself how you'd fallen for me?" You teased, watching his ears turn red again and you smiled again while looking back at the stitching. You looked up when he stayed quiet, seeing that the blush had reached his face and you frowned.
"You alright there?" You asked and he snapped out his trance and nodded coldly before he turned to leave.
"You're leaving?" You asked and he turned his head around to face you. "I mean, it's pretty boring here and you chased my previous company away before I could finish..." You said and you saw him sigh again before he sat on a chair a bit further from you. Even with his annoyed expression, you couldn't help but smile that he took your joke serious enough to stay. You continued your work, glancing at him ever so often as you tried to talk to him (not to much avail). You stopped, however, when you noticed that his eyes were closed and his head was falling down ever so often before he straightened himself up. You smiled and stood up, walking his way and crouching down before gently poking his shoulder. He woke up in and instant and you flinched with his sudden movement, surprised at how close his face was to yours now.
"You should go to your room to sleep, otherwise your neck will hurt." You said as you stood up again, pulling him up with you. It was clear that he was still somewhat sleepy, eyes almost threatening to fall shut again.
"Come one, get out." You laughed and he finally looked awake at the statement, blinking a few times before looking at you.
"I apologize-" "Ah, stop it. I invited you in, no need to be so formal." You interrupted him, which startled him slightly before he simply shut his mouth.
"Feel free to drop by again." You said and he nodded, but you stopped him just before he left.
"And I don't mean with Jin Ling."

happiness here - jiang cheng hcs
long awaited jiang cheng happiness continuation, better known as the ‘jin ling momming hcs” (i sincerely love that)
catch up on the first parts here: part I , part II
✧・゚: *✧・゚:* *:・゚✧*:・゚✧
it must have been fact
but, Jiang Cheng loved you
he wouldn’t know when it started
or how it came to be
but in this instance,
the present
right now
he sees that he loves you
Jiang Cheng should have known better that just saying “no” wouldn’t be enough to stop his hard-headed nephew
and even more stubborn assistant (you)
the monster on tonight’s night hunt was a notoriously fierce demon dog,
blood thirsty and fearless,
it was not a night hunt to have children in attendance
yet somehow,
here Jin Ling was,
you in tattered robes near by
the demon dog lunges, it’s jaws snapping wildly,
Zidan lights the forest night purple, the demon dog knocked back with a force of electricity and his own human anger,
his accompanying disciples through their demon nets on the wounded demon, making quick work of subduing it in its state
Jiang Cheng doesn’t spare a minute to check their work,
immediately turning to you and Jin Ling
“jiu-jiu! i can explain” Jin Ling is quick to stutter out when Jiang Cheng’s heavy foot steps approach both of your crouched forms
you stand up as Jiang Cheng approaches, Jin Ling clutching onto the side of your robes
“this was my fault, don’t blame A-Ling for this,” you’re quick to defend, when Jiang Cheng stares at both of you with an unreadable look in his eyes
you hold onto Jin Ling’s shoulder tightly as you continued,
“Jin Ling was worried, you were going with only a few disciples on this night hunt and though it’s a demon dog, the techniques Jin Ling has been learning at Cloud Recess have prepared him for this. we were coming to help you...”
you don’t mean to ramble, but the words fall out of your mouth the longer Jiang Cheng stares at you with...
worry?
anger?
please not anger
you unsure emotions comes to a halt when Jiang Cheng suddenly pulls both you and Jin Ling into a tight embrace,
and the words that he utters quickly onto the side of your cheek
“don’t scare me like this again,”

I Don't Mind (Jiang Cheng x Reader) One-shot
Summary: A brand new sect decided to attack other sects in order to gain more power over the lands. Yunmeng Jiang is the next they decided to attack. Will the sect leader be able to protect his nephew and wife?
Word count: 1299
Warnings: blood, violence, angst, happy end though ;)
Requested: yes/no by @fuzzyscribbles
A/N: Hi there ~ So the requests are still open, kinda... well, I have a busy schedule and have many things to do for university as this is my last year. (And I hope that I'll never see that place ever again, I can't wait to finish finally.) So if you'd like to request, you can but it might only be out in January if I won't die from stress ^^"
Tumblr media
You remembered when you first laid eyes on Jiang sect leader. The young sect leader looked fierce, always wearing a scowl on his face or furrowing his brows. Your hands trembled when your father called for you. If the sect leader was displeased with you, you’d become a disgrace to your family.
You took unsure steps in the main hall to approach your father. Stepping next to him, you bowed deeply to the sect leader as you greeted him. Looking up, your heart skipped a beat. Jiang Wanyin was nothing like the rumors said. He was handsome, especially upclose. His features softened as he looked back at you.
“Nice to meet you, Jin guniang” he said softly.
“Now let’s start the banquet!” your father who was the subordinate of Jin Guangshan grinned at everyone. You knew that he was more than happy with how much money it meant marrying you off to Jiang Wanyin, not speaking about the influence he wished he’d have.
That night was the first time you saw your fiancée. You barely remembered how the few months before the wedding passed, because you were anxiously waiting for your wedding. Your father invited Jiang Wanyin over before the wedding as many times as he could to make sure he wouldn’t change his mind about the engagement. The wedding night was not anything you imagined it would be like. Jiang Wanyin refused to lay a finger on you. Talking through the night, you got to know him more.
As time passed, the two of you grew closer and he took you out on dates, showing you Yunmeng and the nearby forests. During the Mid-Autumn festival, you kept on nagging him to join you in the kitchen and bake mooncakes together. Well, let’s just say, in the end, flour and filling was everywhere except the cakes. However, times are always changing and as the days passed, a new sect started attacking others.
The new sect wanted bigger territory and in order to do that, they decided to attack any nearby sects. Many people came running to Yunmeng from other cities and towns, seeking refuge. Joining the servants and cooks, you tried to help them out as much as you could. Jin Ling was staying in Yunmeng at that time, because of your soon approaching birthday. He kept you company as he didn’t dare bother your husband too much. Listening to him complaining about other kids made your heart warm up. You smiled to yourself as you stirred the large pot of soup in the kitchen when the alarm bells started ringing.
“Jiuma! Stay here! I’ll search for jiujiu!” he yelled over the commotion that came from outside and quickly left. A-Cheng has been quite stressed out during the last few months. The number of refugees and hungry mouths only grew with each day and there were no more rooms for them either. The new sect was quite strong with how strong of an alliance they made with another sect no one ever heard of before.
Loud explosions shook the ground as you heard people cry out either in anger or out of fear. Grabbing your sword, you ran out of the kitchen. Even if you were a woman and were less skilled in combat than your husband, you couldn’t let others fight while you were hiding in the kitchen. Leading people toward safety was the first task you took on, after that, unsheathing your sword, you jumped into action. Barely registering that the ones you slayed were actually human beings, you fought your way till the front lines.
“Jiuma! Jiujiu needs help!” Jin Ling’s voice startled you out of your rampage. Your eyes spotted Jin Ling quickly who pointed at your husband further away. Jiang Cheng was barely standing on his feet but he kept on fighting. Even in such an injured state, he was capable of killing the enemy. You saw one of the enemy soldiers raising their sword about to strike down on his head.
Red. That was the only thing you saw.
The loud cling of your sword hitting the enemy’s filled the battlefield. Your weapon shined brightly in the smoke as you pushed away the man. Snarling, you made sure that he no longer moved.
“What are you doing?! Get back!” Jiang Cheng yelled at you angrily as he pushed back onto his feet, trying to defend himself against a soldier. He was bleeding from several wounds, knees trembling under his own weight.
“You get back! Look at you! Aren’t you injured enough?!” you yelled back angrily. Grabbing his collar, you jumped into the air. Once you landed on a roof, you let him go. “You cannot fight like this! You’re gonna die!”
“I cannot give up! I have to protect Jin Ling! I have to protect YOU!” he jumped to his feet, adrenaline still pumping in his veins. Taking him in, your heart clenched at the sight. A-Cheng was barely standing on his feet, his own blood coating his clothes, face sweaty and bloody. Tears burned your eyes at seeing him suffer. You grabbed his face making him look you in the eyes.
“Not at the cost of your life, A-Cheng” you shook your head. “I still need you.”
It felt like everything else slowed down around you and only the two of you existed in the world. Looking deeply into his eyes, you smiled softly.
“I love you”
Eyes widened at your confession, tears gathered at his eyes, threatening to spill out. Gritting his teeth, he grabbed your shoulders, pulling you towards him. His lips tasted like blood but you didn’t mind. They were so soft against yours and fit so perfectly. Pulling away, A-Cheng pressed his forehead to yours with a sigh.
“I love you too, (Name)”
Later ~
The Jin sect arrived in time to help out Yunmeng Jiang. Men already started collecting the fallen ones and women tried to take care of the injured. You carefully applied disinfectant on the cotton in your hand before you pressed it to Jiang Cheng’s cuts. He hissed in pain but stayed motionless as you cleaned out his wounds.
“Dùi búqĭ” you patted his hand and went to grab a needle. You needed to close his wounds before dressing them with gauze. Hands working carefully you tried to concentrate as much as you could, however, your husband’s impressively defined muscles drew your attention away. You sighed tiredly when you finished with the last wound and put the equipment down.
“Let’s get you to bed, A-Cheng” you smiled gently. “It has been a long day.”
“(Name)...” he never called you with that exact tone of voice, the one that made your heart skip a beat and your cheeks to feel hot. Correction, your whole face felt hot. Jiang Cheng grabbed your wrist, pulling you back towards him. “Promise me you’ll stay safe.”
“I can only promise you that we’ll die together” you shook your head. “I can only promise you that I’ll always stay by your side, A-Cheng.”
Your husband slowly got to his feet, pressing your palm - which he was holding - to his chest, right above where his heart was beating. Looking deep into your eyes, his lips pulled into a troubled smile. You both knew that he couldn’t promise you that he’d avoid danger, you also knew that the future was unwritten yet making it hard to make promises. However, you didn’t care. As long as he was holding you, kissing you, you didn’t mind. As long as you could follow him wherever he needed to go, you didn’t mind.
“I don’t mind” you whispered slowly, stepping closer to him. You pulled your hand away and pressed a kiss to his chest, right where your hand had been until then. “I don’t mind.”
End ~

When Someone Flirts With You!
Hello! Little disclaimer: This is the same format used on two different blogs, they’re both mine (if you’ve seen them). This is just a really fun thing to do, so I always try to do them for new fandoms I join and whatnot. I hope you like it!
Sidenote: Normally, I have banners just cuz they look nice but I’m not sure if I wanna make em for this blog, yet.
Includes: Wei Wuxian, Lan Wangji, Wen Ning, Lan Xichen, Jiang Cheng, Xiao Xingchen, Song Lan, and Xue Yang.
Come one, come all! See what happens when someone flirts with you in front of your mans!
Wei Wuxian:
One day, you were at a tavern waiting for your boyfriend to get back. He had left for only ten minutes and someone had already swooped in to bother you. No matter what you said or did, they just wouldn’t back off.
Like people don’t know who he is-
Normally, he won’t jump in immediately. He’ll stay back and just let you handle it if you can. If you can’t handle it, just look at him. He’ll know the second you make eye contact.
He prefers to stand next to the person and joins them. Of course, they’re uncomfortable and ask what he’s trying to do and he’ll respond with something like “flirting with my partner, they’re cute, aren’t they?”
Yeah, that usually doesn’t work. Unless people KNOW him and are scared of him, they would just brush him off.
He doesn’t like that. Not one bit, especially when you’re getting more uncomfortable by the minute.
He’ll try to do the same thing again, but the SECOND someone tries to touch you, he slaps them with his flute. No, he ain’t playing it, he’s swinging it. In one whole second, he’s in front of you and the person is most likely on the floor. 10/10 would recommend.
“Don’t ever touch my (y/n) ever again, ok?”
Lan Wangji:
You followed Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji on their adventures often and always tried to stay close to the duo. The ONE TIME you decided to go off on your own, you found yourself cornered. Thankfully, both Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji were just around the corner.
Oh dear.
He glares. He just idles at glaring at everyone. So even before you ask for help, he’ll just glare at the person. But if you need help, feel free to call him.
He’ll immediately stand between you and the offender. He’s not scared, he’s not arguing, just glaring silently.
50/50, he’s actually pretty scary so most people are freaked out.
In the unlikely event it doesn’t work out and they continue to push you, he’s fighting. But it’s Lan Wangji, he doesn’t have to try. It’s just… smack and they’re down. 10/10 would recommend.
“...”
Wen Ning:
During his adventures with Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji, Wen Ning often tends to go off by himself. You always followed him, trying to keep as close as you could. There was one day where you were hungry, so you went to buy some snacks. Wen Ning didn’t come with you and you definitely regretted not asking him to join you. Someone had cornered you and they just wouldn’t let you leave so you had to call out to your boyfriend.
Even as fierce corpse, he’s pretty hesitant at times. So normally, he’d just wait it out to see what you do, mainly because he doesn’t want to be THAT boyfriend... you know the one who just does too much.
If you need help, just call him or look at him. He’ll be in front of you in a second, hiding you behind his form. He’ll at first just ask someone to leave you alone.
0/10. Never works, he just LOOKS nervous. So people will either try to push him out of the way or just roll their eyes and ignore him, while still trying to talk to you.
Wen Ning doesn’t care if people ignore him, it’s not the first time. What does really bother him though is when people can’t take a hint. He hates when you’re uncomfortable, so if someone is making you feel like that ON PURPOSE, he hates it.
The thing is, they can’t shove Wen Ning out of the way. He’s actually pretty strong and so the second they try to (especially after they ignore him), he just grabs their arm and twists it, holding them in place until they apologize to you.
8/10, usually very effective but if it still doesn’t work, he’ll just throw them out of the establishment. He warned them TWICE, he ain’t doing it again.
“Are you ok? I’m glad... I was worried I was too late.”
Lan Xichen:
He had invited you to an event with him, one where you did your best to stay close to him. You’d already seen some weird stares, ones that made you very uncomfortable. Unfortunately, Lan Xichen was called away for one second, but that’s all it took for someone to immediately come bother you.
He’s very observant, so he’s always got his eye on you. He worries more than he likes to admit, only because he doesn’t want to overdo it. You’re an adult, who can handle themselves.
However, if you do need help, just call for him. He’s on his way. He’ll immediately stop them by grabbing their arm and pulling them away, claiming they’re making you uncomfortable.
50/50 and it depends on whether they know him. Most don’t so they’ll kinda brush him off, which he doesn’t appreciate.
He’ll try again, not wanting to resort to violence. There are times where people just quit, finding him bothersome, but there’s always ONE person who wants to try again.
One person even tried to touch you once, roughly grabbing your arm and yanking you away from Lan Xichen.
Oh boy, he had his sword out faster than you’d ever seen. The person immediately let you go and you hid behind your boyfriend.
“Do not touch people without their permission.”
Jiang Cheng:
You were with Wei Wuxian, Lan Wangji, and Jiang Cheng on one of their numerous adventures. They had left for maybe thirty minutes and you were keeping busy doing your own thing, when you felt a hand grab you. You thought it was Jiang Cheng, but boy were you wrong. However, your boyfriend wasn’t too far away.
He is PROTECTIVE.
The last thing he wants to see on your face is discomfort, especially when it’s caused by some creep.
He’s in front of you in a second and he’s usually pretty aggressive. The last thing you want to see is him fight, so you often just grab his arm and hide behind him.
Just that alone, usually makes people back off. It’s kinda obvious you’re already his. BUT. There’s that one fool…
They often move closer to you, ignoring Jiang Cheg, and ask if you’d like to “upgrade” to someone better. Before you can even answer, they’re on the floor.
“Yeah, like you’re any better. Come on, (y/n).”
Xiao Xingchen:
Normally, you’re glued to the hip with Xiao Xingchen, since you two were so close. There was one occasion where you stepped away from him to gather some flowers. He wanted to talk to someone about something, nothing you often concerned yourself with. That’s when someone took their chance and swooped in.
So he can’t see you, but he can hear you. All you gotta do is call for him and he’ll be at your side faster than the speed of light. He’s not immediately jumping to fight and often prefers to talk things out, instead.
0/10. It never works. Not one time has that ever worked. People just don’t back down, especially those who tend to bother you.
They usually just shove Xiao Xingchen aside, thinking he’s just a blind man who can’t do anything.
This is one of those things that just… bothers him. Xiao Xingchen can’t understand why, but when someone bothers you, it really makes him upset.
He’ll once again try to stop the offender through a more pacifistic way, but there was one time when someone roughly grabbed your hand and yanked you away from Xiao Xingchen. The squeal that left your mouth was something that just made him draw his sword.
It really was an accident. No one was hurt, but the person was scared away. 69/10 would recommend.
“Are you alright? Good, I’m sorry they hurt you.”
Song Lan:
You had often followed him and Xiao Xingchen on their adventures, doing your best to stick close to them both. One day you saw a flower that intrigued you more than it should have. So you walked over to it and you were gone for maybe ten seconds, but when you turned around, you couldn’t see Song Lan or Xiao Xingchen, but you did see another person blocking your path. He found you pretty quickly.
He’s usually always on high alert. He’s extremely protective of you, sometimes surprising himself.
He’ll usually step him, keeping you hidden behind himself so the other person can’t see you. If someone is holding your wrist, he’ll use his sheathed sword to separate you two. He mentions you’re uncomfortable and tells the person to leave.
2/10, it’ll work sometimes but rarely. Usually offenders shrug him off and just pretend as if he’s not there. Even if you hide behind him, they’ll walk around and try to get at you that way. If they touch you, it’s almost as if they touched Song Lan and he really doesn’t like that.
The second they try to grab you, they’re on the floor unconscious. They don’t stand a chance.
10/10 works every time. They’re not unconscious EVERY SINGLE TIME it’d about 90% of the time.
“Let’s go. No they’re fine, don’t worry about them.”
Xue Yang:
Xue Yang is obviously protective and he doesn’t like it when people touch/bother you. You belong to him, nobody else. There was one day you strayed too far and got in some trouble with 4 people.
LMAO
Xue Yang usually laughs when he steps in, telling everyone they should leave before he kills them.
Of course people don’t listen. Usually, they just brush him aside and go back to “impressing” you.
Xue Yang warns people ONCE. One warning and that’s IT. If they don’t listen, their funeral. Literally.
The worst occasion was when someone shoved Xue Yang away and pushed you against the wall. You screamed and felt something touching your chest. When you looked down, it was Xue Yang sword poking you which had been stabbed through the offender’s chest.
10/10 they’re literally dead?
“I warned you about touching what belongs to me.”

(This the first time that I’m not writing about LWJ for a mdzs scenario)
Lan Qiren was teaching all the students. WWX was sleeping and JC couldn’t concentrate because he was distracted by the new student.
He heard Y/N was a sect leader’s daughter, even though he hadn’t known much about their sect.
“She is beautiful” he thought but then. “no .. no… I should concentrate… but she looks nice”
After the lecture all Jiang Cheng wanted to know was if Y/N had a bf. He could ask WWX but then he didn’t want noisy Wei Wuxian to make fun of him.
He asked his sister without showing much interest.
“I don’t know exactly but I can ask” she said . “What? no! I’m just asking” JC blushed.
Next day, he found WWX was flirting with Y/N and Mianmian. JC interrupted quickly and told that Jiang Yanli was looking for him. He apologized ladies for his brother’s behavior.
When Mianmian, left JC wanted to escort Y/N to the library.
You were delighted to have his company. From the first day at lecture, you were also thinking this man was handsome.
Within few days you two became very close and he even confessed to you. It was not usual for JC to be very clingy like WWX but only for you he was.
However, the happy ending that you wish of engaging to JC became different, when one day Wen Chao showed up.
He has a gf but he was still interested in you.
He confessed to you but you thought he was disgusting and rejected him at once.
“you will regret this” Wen Chao threatened.
You were sacred that he would do something to your family and immediately told this to JC.
JC had a plan on his mind. He told you not to worry about it and that he would personally take care of it.
As you expected, Wen Chao had sent men to destroy your family but they couldn’t find none as JC had already had informed them to them to hide a place close to Lotus Pier.
After Cloud Recesses you told Jiang Cheng that your family has decided to migrate to Lanling Jin Clan and live unknown
JC promised you that no matter where you live that he would find you.
Years passed. You heard stories about the death of Wen Chao, then death of WWX and how Jiang Cheng became a sect leader.
Your parents said that may be JC had forgotten about you and better to marry someone else but you thought never to marry if you wouldn’t marry JC.
One day your father said that you had a visitor waiting for you.
When you went to meet him you found none other than your JC. You ran to him and hugged him.
“Y/N , did you think I forget about you? I was searching you everywhere. So now that I found you, will you please marry me and come to Lotus Pier as my wife?” he asked.
“yes” you were in tears.
JC smiled widely and kissed you while hugging you tightly.

Yandere Jiang Cheng Headcanons
These are my interpretations of his persona and none of these are 100% accurate. I don’t condone any of these actions in real life and all of this is purely fictional.
Tumblr media
First, god damn this man is so traumatized. Perfect yandere material, anyway I see him as overprotective, possessive, obsessive, and stalker. Here is why:
My man really got the short end of the stick with EVERYTHING that happened. Sister? DEAD. Parents? DEAD. Brother-in-law? DEAD. Adoptive Brother? DEAD BUT NOT DEAD. Golden core? STOLEN. Nephew? ORPHANED. Responsibilities? STACKED UPON HIM. Since this takes place in different timelines I will be focusing on both but mostly after the time skip.
Before entering cloud recess and even during his stay, he was seen as most responsible of the two. Literally, their dynamic was, goofy brother, caring sister, strict brother. He landed on the strict one, but he had his morals and priorities set. He also did his best to uphold the family name and standards. Always scolding Wei Ying when he did dumb shit and always reminding him, “If Father-”. In the drama, Wen Qing was given a much bigger role and it was hinted that he had some crush on her. He acted so bashfully around her, smiling and doing the whole ‘don’t embarrass me around her’ type shit. So, if he met his S/O before the time skip, he would act like this.
Stalker. While both obsessive and stalker match up in definitions, I think that stalker is more of a tamer way to describe it. Here is why. As a stalker, in cloud recess he would probably take the same pathway to get to the lectures, just to catch a glimpse of his S/O. During the lectures, he would pay attention because he can’t slack off, but he would turn to catch his S/O and turn away if they caught him staring. Occasionally asking around where they are, find out where they are staying. It’s the glimpse and lingering gazes that really cause that ‘stalker’ trait. Gets even worse when they start looking for the yin iron pieces, trying to hear the latest information about his S/O’s clan. When the Wen clan start’s making moves he’s on his way to get the latest information on his S/O. Taking up the clan’s mantle he had more access to information and events where he could see them. My man was really out here trying to find ANY information on his S/O.
After time skip and all the depression shit? OBSESSED. Literally, he would know EVERYTHING. The last clan you invited over, any family members, your clan’s status and position. If you were from a smaller clan, he would offer to look after it during the night hunting and other events, very RUDELY he would announce it. “Such a small clan, almost extinct. It’s best if some of my men aid you in the night hunt.” You're the head of your own clan? Meetings often discuss things and will literally try to push for you to join or make an alliance of sorts. You’re already with him? He has his men follow you 25/8 along with his nephew because he can’t spare to look away. This ties in with overprotectiveness and possessiveness. He’s lost so much he can’t bear to lose anything more.
Overprotective. Again, he’s lost so much? His love is genuine and will do what he can to assist his S/O in protecting them. No one will come to harm them or they will have to answer to him. It’s like him and Jin Ling, it’s harsh and tough, but he truly does care. He just doesn’t want to seem so attached to avoid people wanting to take away the things he loves the most. When Wei Wuxian comes back he would definitely keep his S/O out of it. Jiang Cheng (HAVEN’T READ THE NOVEL DON’T COME FOR ME) strikes me as the one who knows Wei Wuxian isn’t to blame, but he can’t help but accept it. He doesn’t want to risk his S/O getting involved in family issues because he doesn’t know what the consequences are. Possessive. It comes in the package that he will more than likely be a bit controlling with his S/O. Like his nephew, he is real iffy of him exploring alone because of the many situations that happened to him. Not just anyone can watch over his S/O, it has to be someone he trusts which might be Jin Ling. Telling him that he better watch over them, though I think Jin Ling doesn’t mind because he would get along with Jiang Chen’s S/O. Clan meetings and someone approaching his S/O? Hand around their waist typa beat but without the hand around the waist. Well maybe, idk I’m kinda skeptical about it.
In terms of being dangerous? 6/10. It’s more the controlling and overbearing aspect of it because while he is strong and can do something, he probably won’t because it’s not in his nature. He’s lost so much and he can’t bear to lose another person. It really is tough love with him, often scolding Jin Ling and his S/O because I’d do stupid shit with Jin Ling. He’d say some harsh things, he doesn’t mean them but it’s all to keep you guys safe. It’s that right now, so many things are left unanswered and he can’t afford to let his guard down or let people know he can.
Shameless comment but HES FINE ASF, LIKE THE TIMESKIP? DADDY-

May I ask for headcanons with Wei ying, Jiang Cheng and Nie huiashang (if I spelled that right). Where reader was their one of their best friend and a Wen, but soon disappeared when the Wen clan started to take over the other sects. Boys then finding their friend, disabled from their golden core and imprisoned in a remote place where no one could have found them, because they rebelled against the clan leader. Could be more angsty if they lost their hearing or sight, because they were tortured.

TW: TORTURE, BLINDNESS
Tumblr media
GUSU LAN CLAN LECTURES
First of all you were Wen Chao's cousin, unfortunately. However, you pretty much did as you wanted to because who could really control you, so of course you went along to the Lan Clan's lectures alongside Wen Qing and Wen Ning.
Of course you arrived in old fashioned Wen manner and interrupted the ceremony already breaking rules at the entrance. When no one else but Wei Wuxian spoke up. It did indeed amuse you the way he spoke up agains Wen Chao so you carefully watched him.
Excused for the day all three of you eventually went their own way. You had no idea what Wen Qing was up to or Wen Ning, so you eventually walked around the clan, exploring your new home for the few lectures to come. Eventually, in the back hill you bumped into Wei Wuxian who thought Wen Ning to use bow and arrow until that nearly backfired when Wen Qing's voice rang through the air.
"Let's say we are even now that you nearly killed Lady Wen. ---" You were joking obviously, but refering to the earlier incident.
He wasn't quite sure how to deal with you yet but it seemed you made quite the point. Eventually you walked along with him, leaving Wen Ning and Qing to their own.
Meeting Jiang Cheng once more you, indeed did apologize for interrupting his greetings earlier that day. You were quite different than most in the Wen Clan, you did apologize and show manners, though you weren't completely innocent.
As much as you did enjoy art and classics, you were also a little troublemaker, It was a healthy combination of mischief and manners that allowed you to walk the grey zone. So of course you soon bonded with Wei Wuxian, Jiang Cheng and Nie Huiasang.
You became great friends soon. You learned about Wei Wuxian's mischief, enjoyed his stories of bickering with Lan Zhan, came to know Nie Huiasang's grand taste and love for art and other not so lady like things, as well as his dislike for fighting and of course Jiang Cheng, he was rather complicated but you still enjoyed his presence. You could never quite tell what was on his mind but you knew for sure he deeply cared for his family. He was in fact, someone who seemed to long for his own little happy ending.
Meeting up in secret for a drinking which was strictly forbidden, you had lots of fun until the next morning when you were called for punishment. Even though you were a Wen, you could simply walk away but decided to stay and take the 50 hits. You had made friends for a lifetime during the lectures.
WEN CLAN LECTURES
You'd lie if you say you weren't excited to see your friends again, however, it weren't the best circumstances. You greatly disliked the way it had processed to far yet there they stood, all clans: Nie Clan, Jin Clan, Jiang Clang and eventually Hanguang Jun.
This wasn't much of a lecture, more of Wen Chao showing of his power due to the enormous power the Quishan Wen Clan had gathered. You weren't sure if you were embarrassed or disgusted by your cousin but either way, knowing Wei Wuxian's character you soon had something to laugh. And you were right.
Wen Chao made him recite the Wen Clan rules which ironicially, he didn't even know himself so you nearly busted a lung and earned an angry side eye from your cousin when Wei Wuxian recited the Lan Clan rules.
Of course this would not go without punishment, not for you not for Wei Wuxian and co.
Eventually you helped with the dung being spread, being trapped between Jin Zixuan, Wei Wuxian and Lan Zhan. Fun times. Once more, you apologizes for his behaviour knowing your words could do nothing. The only thing this gave you was the title of Gentle Wen. An embarrassment to your family but in the cultivation world between your friends quite the praise.
You tried getting their swords back but with no luck. You only ended up being grounded in your own room with guards outside.
You weren't able to help your friends out and it did annoy you. It seemed as if you tried harder the more complicated it would get for you to get out of here. It did drive you insane.
When every visitor was suppossed to hunt the monster that roamed through the mountain you once again were by their side, refusing to speak nor act according to your cousin's order.
Which led to quite the argument between you, who stood on your friends side, and Wen Chao and his woman, who for the love of cultivation, wondered where she came from
Either way, you stood between him and Wang Lingjiao when she had ordered to use Mianmian as a sacrifice. You at this point who would believe you, matter of fact, you knew that he was just being abusive. Safe to say it did piss your cousin off and ended up in a fight, eventually were Wei Wuxian would get hurt.
Just like the rest, you got stuck in the cave alongside the rest of the cultivators. Proofing your loyalty to your friends once more. Not so much to the other clans.
This time you helped out Huaisang the most. The poor guy was frightened to death. He was such a soft boy. You felt bad about it and apologzied multiple times while staying by his side, doing your best to help him through the situation. At this point, if you were no traitor to the Wen Clan what else could you possibly be?
You followed Jiang Cheng's introductions to leave the cave through the water, Nie Huaisang by your side.
After all you had made it out word spread proufoundly about you and the Wen Clan. Some said you were a spy, working for the Wen Clan and earning sympathy, others said you were honest about your intentions, later was some encouring words by Nie Huaisang. You truly did appreciate his words.
The moment you stepped foot into Qishan, you were confined to you room until they needed you. They made use of your connections to Wei Wuxian, Jiang Cheng and Nie Huaisang whenever they needed to. Tricky but smart.
WEN CHAOS HAVOC + SUNHOT CAMPAIGN
It was only when you dumb cousin started to wreak havoc among the clans that you started to see the situation clearly and did not want to have anything to do with it. After cloud recesse had been burned to nearly ashes you spoke up, you were against it. Precious memories were made there and now they had became ashes, quite literally.
If you had known about all the scheming you'd have told Lan Xichen right away, made sure nothing would happen to the Gusu Lan Clan. But being confined barely gave you any choices until one day you fought your way out, meeting your uncle, confronting him about it.
You knew that the Wen Clan was better than that, but the yin iron had taken up to much of his sanity, he instructed Wen Chao to take care of you.
Of course it pained you to see all the chaos and blood being she'd of cour once former friends familie's. There did not a day go by where you begged him to stop. You even tried going against him, but failed miserably.
Wang Lingjiao enjoyed her given power, using it to destroy every piece of hope you still had. Even bringing you along to Lotus Pier to watch the massacre of your closest friends parents.
Daily torture was on your agenda. Being wipped, being burned, being starved or simply kicked and punched by her minions. But you were to prideful to give in just so easily, especially when you head news of Jiang Cheng being captured.
Again, you tried your best to stop him but Wen Chao had enough of your antic and ordered Wen Zuhliu to end it but his woman had a better idea. Get rid of her golden core and blind her. It was her revenge for you spitting the hot soup right into her face, eventually burning her slightly. It was worth it.
You were left in pain, after you felt the power leave your body, the spiritual power who kept healing you in a very slow pace if you needed it but eventually had lost it. The worst was losing your sight, the light of day, not knowing if it was day or night, not being able to navigate on your own.
Treason, that was the reason. You could have had so much more if it wasn't for your weak heart. The words were spoken as hot iron was pushed into your eyes. Your screams were hunting the people who were present. Yet you had lost all of hope and strength in one night, being dumped somewhere on a mountain with nothing but the purpose to die.
After the sunshot campaign people had wondered what happened to you as you were nowhere to be found, yet they all agreed to not search and leave things as they were, the Qishan Wen Clan was extinguished.
PASSING YEARS
Years had passed and you had managed to get yourself back on your feet, even if it wasn't as safe anymore. You learned to live with your blindness.
Deep in the forest in an abandoned little hut. It was perfect for you. You secluded yourself from the world, living in peace. You remembered some tricks your old friend Wei Wuxian had once taught you, and even though your golden core was gone, little tricks like these did do. Obviously you had to renew them every now and then but it was no bother at all.
What you did not know was that the mountain, or rather the forest you lived in belonged to a clan, and possible night hunt had given up your days of silence and years being secluded.
Only when you heard footsteps that did not belong to anything on your small land, you ended up hiding in your small hut, a knife held firmly in your hands.
The voices you could make out seemed familiar but you stayed quiet, perhaps they'd leave.
Of course they did not leave and soon it seemed, three people were standing in your small front yard where chicken where quietly eating and living.
They surely were surprised that someone had managed to live on the mountain of the Jin Clan largest property. That did put you quite in panic. You knew they were your death sentence if they would find you, so you tried to sneak away, but of course Wei Wuxian was one step ahead of you.
" Where do you think you're going ?"
" Wei Wuxian? "
Your voice was hesitant yet filled with surprise but you could definitely make out his voice between a hundred people. A smile almost creeped upon your lips, soley depending on your hearing.
Your attire was still very much simple. A very out worn red hanfu, the logos of the Wen Clan faded but still slightly visible. It was Nie Huaisang that pointed this out. Of course he would notice such details, so he still was alive and breathing. You were deligthed to know this.
However, it was Jiang Cheng who put 1 and 1 together.
" Lady Y/N ? ---"
Silence filled by gasp of Nie Huaisang, as you nodded quietly.
"Guilty."
You were not sure how to feel, happy that you finally met the people you once called friends or scared knowing it could now mean your death.
"I'm glad to hear you are all still well. How have you been all these years? -----"
They would have expected anything but not to meet you. It were raw and mixed feelings. You know you owed Jiang Cheng your live for your family had taken his. You dared not to move your head his way and kept it strictly on the ground.
It was also Wei Wuxians family but it wasn't as deeply rooted.
Nie Huaisang was the first one to approach you, carefully. Asking what had happened to you. So until late night, you told them what happened to you, what your clan did to you, how you ended up here.
You also apologized again, falling to your knees, knowing you could not make up for the loses they had suffered. You started crying, begging for forgiveness.
They explained what had happened on their side, and also admitting they hoped they had not lost you but eventually gave up. You on the other hand did not blame them.
It was a bittersweet reunion after years of forming friendship, betrayal and chaos. Feeling pain and rejoycing again.
