As we all know, Nikolai's a determined, arrogant, sly bastard. He claimed,
“When people say impossible, they usually mean improbable.” in (S&S).
But here's a testament how he deems Zoya.
"He turned his head, trying to decipher the dark slash of her brows, the black of her hair. She looked just as she always had—beautiful, impossible Zoya." in (RoW),
With her unreal beauty, she cannot be swayed by anyone even by him, she's almost 'divine' in my own words. This, the only moment Nikolai claimed that there is something impossible for him, and Zoya is her name.

Chapter 7: New face
"It's already 2 weeks you've been here, now you're learning some complicated spells. I can't believe it"Dhani murmured with her head placed on the table and looked to the side to see you who was sitting on her bed reading a book of spells with reading glasses.
"Well, what can I say that I'm a fast learner" you smiled quickly at Dhani and looked at your book again.
"Fast learner, eh" Dhani yawned then straighten her body to crack her spine and groan in relief. "You know, this kind of evening is the best time to take a nap"
"well, for you it is but not for me, Dhani. I need to learn more. Things are getting more interesting" you told Dhani. Your eyes are still closed.
"yeah yeah, Doctor like you really thirst for knowledge." Dhani leaned back in the chair. "how's your leg?"
You looked at Dhani for a moment. "good.. yeah. It doesn't hurt as much as before and I don't really need to use walking stick anymore. Migraine? Still have." you answered while rolling your legs left and right.
Dhani nodded. "That's good" Dhani yawned for the second time. "Oh god, I'm so sleepy"
"then go to sleep" you replied looking back at the book.
Dhani groaned lowly. "i can't. John needs me"
"for what?" You furrowed your eyebrows at Dhani.
"some relics hunting he said. Probably there are bandits who smuggle relics" Dhani murmured.
"relics?" Now it's getting more interesting.
Dhani sighs. "it's weapons that contain magic, some very powerful, some are only middle level of powerful and some are used for daily life like protection or immunity. Also some are millions of years old, some are thousands of years old but still in good condition. You can have relics if the relics are ready to choose you to be its master."
"do you have any relics?" you questioned
"yeah, The Wren and The Nightingale are my relics" Dhani took out her relics from the sheath on her waist and showed them to you.
"they're called the Songbirds. they're twins"
The two daggers in Dhani's hand are very sharp and deadly with its handle having a diamond in the center of the two daggers. Silver and shiny, maybe Dhani really takes care of her daggers so well. With those two daggers that have their own names The Wren and The Nightingale in addition to their own different abilities make these relics even more interesting.
"That looks stunning" you complimented.
"i know right! they have their own abilities. You see, This two daggers connection is like Thor's hammer. They always know where the other are. It's like twins instinct, you know. They always stitch with each other." Dhani exclaimed excitedly then put the two daggers in the sheath around her waist and gently patted the sheath.
"when can i get my relics?" You questioned.
"Like I said, when the relics feel like you are ready to be their owner. Think about it like the magic wand in Harry Potter. The wand chooses it master" Dhani explained then got up from where she was sitting and stretched her body. "aight! I should probably go now, it's not good to be late, anyway. So, don't forget to return the book you read to the library.. if you don't, Wong will be mad at me because I should have returned that book today..Tata" Dhani pointed her index finger to the book you are holding then waved her hand towards you and left her own room where you are right now.
You just nodded in understanding and continued reading the spell book calmly. But then, before you could turn to the next page, the sound of knocking on the door started to be heard outside Dhani's room. You raised your head from between the books and looked weirdly towards the door of the room.
"Uh, That was a pretty quick mission that Dhani went on" you said under your breath and just sat down.
But the sound of knocking is still heard making you sigh quickly and put the book on the table then get up and walk towards the door of the room. The door of the room was opened by you and there stood a middle-aged man with a rather thick-built body and a stoic face and short black hair looking at you in front of the door of Dhani's room with both hands on his hips. Looking at the way he wears the dark brown tunic, he must be one of the Masters here. You gulped looking at the Chinese man.
"Hi?" You greeted the Chinese man. You don't know if he's good at speaking English or not so the word 'hi' means the same, right?
"new face? Finally i see your face around here." said the man with a gruff voice.
"yes.. And you are?"
"Wong" the man simply said.
"Wong.. Ok.. um you-"
"I am one of the library custodians here and my job now is to collect back the book that Dhani borrowed for 3 days. Now where is Dhani?" Wong explained.
"she's just gone out to do a relics hunting mission," you answered.
Wong raised one eyebrow. "again?"
"I don't know how many times she did that mission but that's what she said." you raised both hands as if you were surrounded.
"Never mind that, I need to collect the book that Dhani borrowed before the Ancient One checks around the library later" Wong massaged the bridge of his nose.
"oh, yeah.. the book.. right." you turned around but before that you looked at Wong with a glance. "wait here" and you went to the table where you put the spell book.
A few seconds later, you handed the spell book to Wong. "here"
Wong took the book and held it by his side before nodding his head towards you as a sign of thanks and walking away. But then you decided to follow Wong to the library too.
Wong just ignored your appearance next to him and carried on walking to the library for the next duty.
To get rid of the awkwardness, you try to open a conversation with Wong. But your chance to start a conversation was interrupted by Wong.
"How long have you been here?" Wong asked. His eyes are not looking at you.
"I've only been here for 2 weeks" you answered and tried to keep up with Wong's steps.
"2 weeks and you already read a complicated spell book" Wong acknowledged you with an impressive tone of voice.
"well, I quite like the teaching method here so it's quite easy to keep up" you exclaimed.
"Great, you like our teaching method, but sometimes there are methods that you can't follow yet," Wong responded and opened the library door.
The two of you stepped into the library. Cozy and quiet is what you feel after stepping into the Kamar Taj library. Everything is arranged nicely and neatly. The bookshelves are organized by category while there are several books on chains in some sections, perhaps the most complicated spell books or just the books are banned. Perhaps it was a restricted area and only Masters could be there and take the book.
Wong then turned on the light in a section of books that were chained and then pulled the grill to hook the book to its original place and pushed the grill back to its original place.
You raised one eyebrow. "What area is this? Why are the books here chained?"
"The Ancient One's private collection." Wong answered and walked to the other grill to make sure the books there were tightly chained. "Books here are chained because they are not to be taken at will" Wong added
"So only masters can take it? Does that mean the book I read is forbidden?" you worriedly said.
"Not all knowledge in the Kamar Taj is forbidden but for the first question is yes it is indeed for Masters but students can borrow it too only for certain practices and there is a time limit which is why I need to collect the book that Dhani borrowed back. Though she is already on the way to be a master doesn't mean she can take care of the books well" Wong mumbled.
"besides those books are far too advanced for anyone other than the Sorcerer Supreme." Wong added.
You nodded your understanding and looked around the area with wonder. But then what catches your attention is a book that has an iron-like cover and in the center of the book there is a large circle complete with a shining orange crystal.
"that book looks beautiful" you pointed out towards the book by nodding your head towards the book.
Wong looked at you and saw where you nodded. "That's the book of Cagliostro. The study of time. A few months ago one of our ex students Kaecilius stole a ritual from that book after beheading the former library master here. Not only that," Wong walked to the library desk to check some book return forms. "He gathered other students and tempted them with power to follow in his footsteps."
"he stole the ritual for what? Only one page? Why not the whole book?" you frowned in question.
"No more questions. And one more thing, if any of the collection volumes here are lost again, I will look for you until I find it and I know who took it. And you can't imagine how bad the punishment you will get." Wong warned you sharply and looked at you with narrowed eyes.
"but what if I'm like Dhani? You know, if I forget to return it on that day or it's overdue, is there some late fees I have to pay or punishment for returning it late?" you joked trying to light up the tense situation. But then shut up when you saw Wong's serious face.
You then looked down in shame. "I shouldn't have said that" you mumbled quietly then looked at Wong again and nodded as a sign of retreat. "Uh, thank you for lighting up all the awareness in me and giving me a wonderful warning. Hope we can meet again" and you walked away.

2 ꂵꄲꋊ꓄ꁝꇙ ꒒ꋬ꓄ꏂꋪ (2 Months later)
"Try to conjure your own weapon first" Mordo instructed you while pointing the wand of Watoombs at you. Sometimes, Mordo corrects your stands and hands positions to be perfect.
After 2 months of training there, you can finally feel free to walk without any help. You can feel your legs light after some weight is removed. Your migraine seems to be decreasing but still not gone even a little.
Sometimes there are times when you think about many things, the migraine will appear uninvited and sometimes that can cause you to lack focus in certain training. After several mind trainings with Dhani, even though Dhani is sometimes the cause of your migraines, you are able to train your mind to be calm and think broadly without any pressure or any other things that are not relevant in your mind, so your migraines decrease little by little.
Sparks of fire splashed at your fingertips as you braced your hands forward with your eyes focused intently on your fingers while your mind was trying to clear what you were thinking and just focus on conjuring a weapon as instructed by Mordo.
And then after the spark of fire seemed powerful enough to form, you started to pull the orange magic hue like a spring and suddenly Mordo swooped down and hit the wand of watoombs on your half-finished makeshift weapon causing you to lose focus.
Mordo then swung the wand of watoomb again quickly and you managed to reflect it with your half makeshift weapon. Sparks of fire flew into the air as the wand of watoomb made contact with your mystic weapon.
As if Mordo senses an opening around you that you don't defend, Mordo then swipes your leg until you lose your balance and kneel to court training. And then Mordo raised the wand of watoomb above your head and swung it at you. You then reflect with your barely there makeshift weapon. But then your makeshift weapon disappears as soon as you make contact with the wand of watoomb. And there goes Mordo finishing you off.
You pant a few breaths trying to get some oxygen into your body again. You who were lying on the side looked at Mordo's face tiredly.
Mordo lightly chuckled looking at your defeated face and extended his hand towards you. "I see you're getting better lately"
You reached for Mordo's hand and got up with a groan. "still can't fight you"
"Train more persistently and you will be able to achieve what you want" Mordo simply said.
"you've said that many times" you stretched your shoulders a few times trying to get rid of the pain.
"and yet, I can see the results" Mordo reassured you.
"well thanks to you I have a great trainer" you smiled a little before brushing yourself from the dirt on your attire.
"how was your casting spells with the Ancient One? any progress now that she allows you to learn complicated spells?" Mordo glanced at you before placing the wand of watoomb back where it came from.
"still in progress but almost there" you stretch your hands forward and crack your neck slightly to the side. you breathed a sigh of relief.
"You and your strong memories were created specifically for mystic arts. So study hard and train a lot" Mordo admitted then put his hands on his waist.
"Is that a compliment because I don't know how to react" you joked.
Mordo chuckled lightly while shaking his head. "you and your sarcasm." Mordo sighed. "Now I have to go out now to scout around so go training or do something. Dhani will be with you this late afternoon"
"I hope she's not with John again." you muttered quietly.
"Those two I don't know what would happen if they weren't together." Mordo said simply then walked down the corridor to his room.
You hummed. "the two of them really can't go far from each other.. makes you wonder" you paused. "well, i better go.. you can't be late for duty right? bye bye"
Mordo nodded then turned and went to his room to change his attire. You hummed and walked to your room to freshen up.

꓄꒐ꂵꏂ ꇙꀘ꒐ꉣꇙ (Time skips)
"Did you hear? The Ancient One just kicked someone out of the Kamar Taj.. Don't know why. But it's kinda rare because this is the first time she rejected someone so quickly" Dhani told you while stroking the fur of a black cat in the floor of your room.
"really? They must have pissed off Ancient One, that's why she kicked them out"You replied, eyes not leaving the book in your hand as you tried to make yourself comfortable on your bed to leaned against the headboard.
"It could be. She looks calm but don't trust her calmness. She has a lot of tricks up her sleeve" Dhani cooed at the cat while poking the cat's stomach. The cat then jerked and clawed Dhani's hand gently.
You looked at Dhani with wonder. "You told me that Mordo brought them here. Any chance you saw their faces?"
"why? do you want to change him like in the Wattpad book I read? 'oh, look at me! look at meh. This isn't you!'" Dhani said dramatically as she lifted the cat and pouted towards the cat's face. The cat meowed softly.
"Ehh, not really but what I know is that he's wearing a Balenciaga sweater and his hands are bandaged" Dhani shrugged her shoulders and put the cat on her shoulders like a baby and gently patted the cat's body. The cat nuzzled into her shoulder and purred lowly.
"rich person then. Must have a high ego that's why the Ancient One kicks them out" you shifted your gaze to the spell book again.
"of course" Dhani murmured then fixed her glasses that fell on the bridge of her nose.
The room becomes silent for a moment. Only the sound of bells and the wind could be heard in the late afternoon. The sky is getting browner and becomes a dark orange mixed with gray indicating that the moon will appear soon. A gentle breeze enters your room through the window. The once busy street around Kamar Taj becomes more and more deserted as the night approaches.
Dhani then started standing with the black cat still in her hand. Dhani yawned slightly. "I should go take a shower and feed Moon" Dhani gestured at the cat in her hand. "see you at dinner, Y/n" Dhani waved her hand  and putting on her shoes before walked out of your room.
You nodded without looking at Dhani. Your eyes are still on the page of the book. You only have five pages left and you can return this spell book to the library. Otherwise Wong will demand like a debt collector later. It's been a while since you heard from Stephen. Well, it took a while because you turned off your phone so you didn't really know what was going on out there because you were focused on the Kamar Taj.
So you haven't heard any news from Stephen or from the hospital. You just shrugged it off. After all, Dhani has become a messenger for you because she likes to share something that happens out there. At least you know what's going on in the world now. While Dhani is quite busy with relics hunting and recently with Kaecilius' cases. She actually became more serious and firm with the training you both went through. According to her, your skills should be honed properly because at any time something undesirable will happen. Must be something that Dhani is a bit stressed with what is happening now.
You don't mind at least you can focus on trying to move the remaining sore muscles that are still tense. Migraine should not be mentioned. Well sometimes there are things that cannot be cured. You looked at your walking stick that was leaning against the corner of your room. You are quite satisfied with your progress to go back to walking as usual, but you still feel empty. Like something is a bit wrong. You have recovered, but do you want to go back to work in the hospital again?
As if you were hit by a dilemma, you shook yourself from your empty reverie and looked out the window. The sky is already dark and you can see some stars that are quite faded in the sky starting to appear clearly. While the moon seems in the phase of appearing. Full moon tonight You wonder if werewolves exist. If magic exists, does it mean that mystical animals such as dragons, unicorns or vampires also exist?
Now that's pretty interesting. You sighed lightly and chuckled softly at the thought of such a thing. It is possible that they exist but we ourselves do not see them, that's all.
You then put the spell book on the table next to the bed then got up and walked to a cabinet to prepare your night clothes. It's been a long day so you deserve a hot and relaxing bath. You took out a short-sleeved blue t-shirt and black pajamas from the cabinet and then you put them on the bed.
Your hand then reached for the towel hanging on the hanger. As you were getting ready to undress, you heard a chatter outside your window. Weird, you put your tunic back on and looked out the window curiously.
There Mordo and a man were busy walking in the dim courtyard. Mordo, who was still wearing his duty tunic, seemed to be accompanied by a stranger behind him while explaining certain things. The tall stranger who seemed to be carrying a bag with a sweater that Dhani explained before seemed to nod and look around the place.
Now there you can see from afar that the man's face is full of beard and his hair is unkempt. His face is smeared while his hands are full of bandages just like what Dhani described to you.
So that's the guy that The Ancient One kicked out a while ago? Now he is accepted? weird. It's as if the Ancient one saw something in the man that's why he was accepted again even though he was initially rejected. Mordo seems satisfied so you assume he is the one who confronted the Ancient One. You don't know but you're just guessing.
Not long after, you lost focus on the guest as they both entered a hallway and didn't know where they were going. You just shrugged it off and closed the window of your room and decided to refresh yourself before heading to dinner.
But no matter what you do, you still think about that mysterious man. Something about him just triggered a button in your mind.

Angst! Echo x OC (Dawn) Unspoken Love (pt. 1)
Y’ALL THIS IS MY FIRST FANFIC EVER!!!!!! I am so excited to finally publish my first story on Tumblr. I have been inspired by everyone in the The Bad Batch community to write this story <3
@zoeykallus is one of my favorite creators on this website! I was inspired by her to work on this.
Warnings: Mentions of death and grief (takes place during Order 66)
Word Count: 700
Summary:  Echo and reader knew each other before Order 66, and kept a long distance friendship (although they both had feelings for each other). After Order 66, the reader goes silent - leading the Empire to file her as deceased. Echo was devastated by this information. Rex recruits reader and the Bad Batch for a mission. Echo and reader are reunited after many tribulations.
Tumblr media
DECEASED?
"Dawn S. - DECEASED."
Echo couldn't believe what he was reading on his holopad. He began to pace around the Marauder; Hunter could feel Echo's blood pressure and heart rate increase.
Echo's chest rose with every breath he took. Tears are rolling down his prominent cheekbones onto his chest plate. His breaths were becoming louder and uneven, which concerned Hunter. His bodily strength gave out. Allowing himself to finally feel- his tears turned into a river, sounds of a broken man escaped him, and the pain he felt covered his entire being. Consumed by the grief of not only losing the woman he loved from afar but also losing the last best friend he had before the Citadel.
Omega, not understanding his grief, wanted to reach out to him. Her small hand making its way to his shoulder was abruptly held by Hunter. Looking up at him with a confused expression, she saw her brother looking at her with caution. Silently communicating with her that it was not the right time to comfort Echo. Behind Hunter, Omega focused on her other two brothers. Tech kept looking at the ground while Wrecker was shedding tears on behalf of his brother's loss.
Echo's legs were spread while his back was arching into the lower bunk. The painful sobs he released were felt by every soul in the Marauder. His squad allowed him to let out the pain he felt, which he was thankful for in the future.
Not knowing that his other half was alive.

Coruscant (Order 66)
Dawn found herself at the Jedi Temple while Clone Force 99 assisted Kanan Jarrus at the last minute. She enjoyed seeing younglings grow stronger and was fascinated by their relationship with the force. Her loving gaze turned into one of concern as she heard clones running into the room armed. As she was about to ask whether the temple was under attack. The clone trooper attempted to shoot at the closest youngling by his side. The Jedi master and Dawn were too late to save the youngling but made their way to the clone trooper- easily defeating him, he fell to the ground. Dawn had her blasters out, shooting at the Clone troopers from behind while the Jedi master took the front clone troopers. The Jedi master and Dawn were ushering the children out of the room.
The clone troopers were too much for the Jedi to handle all alone. They kept this method for quite a while until they encountered too many at the front. Dawn finished them off and reached for the dying Jedi. The last words she heard were, "Protect them… run away … far from here."
Dawn's head looked down as she felt a weight on her lap. The Jedi master entrusts her with the lives of her younglings by protecting them with their lightsaber. Dawn doesn't hesitate to turn on the lightsaber as she and the kids run away. They found a window where they could go down and hide (the fall is pretty high, but they are using force). She stayed in the back, ensuring each child would go down safely. She heard shouting from afar and ran towards the noise, fighting back against any who tried to harm her and the children. She was wounded by three shots but kept up the fist fight she began with a clone. Her back was facing the window, which gave the clone the idea to push her through the window.
Her scream was deadly as she flew. Feeling the pressure from gravity surrounding her prompted her to close her eyes. Waiting for the deadly impact at the bottom of the Jedi temple. A place where she began working and developed multiple friendships with the people who attempted to kill her that night. Remembering the good times she had with a particular clone, someone to who she never had confessed her love. The biggest regret she had at that moment.
Dawn abruptly felt the force hug her as she landed peacefully on the cement. Looking around, she found the eyes of the kids she swore to protect.

Dun, Dun, DUN!!! How is it so far? Any feedback??!!

They love me... they love me not...
Levi’s last words were “I love you”. MC never got to say it back.(hanahaki desease)
The House of Lamentation was quiet, unusually quiet that morning. You couldn't hear either the secondborn making a money-centered charade or the seventh snoring in the background. Yet, what could be heard was a very particular, soft sound of petals hitting the ground; and it was a tiled floor...
Leviathan felt many things during his enourmous life span, as admiration, sometimes even obsession, were very much present in his life. Nothing, and by Gods I say, nothing could have prepared him enough for the things he was feeling right at this moment for a certain someone. They were in his mind, in his dreams, in his soul and thoughts; their voice echoing silently in his head while he tried to concentrate during games.
His life was full as it was and he had sworn that Ruri-Chan was the only one he would feel something strong about... because he was scared, scared that this was going to happen. Leviathan sat down on the ground, slowly, trying to calm his breathing.
cough
cough
"Not now, please-" He coughed a third time as he put his hand over his mouth. Small Hydrangea petals making their way out of his lungs. The feeling was tingling, his throat was burning from the dried nectar and his mind rushed to the worst-case scenario. "What if..."
And with that, the room went quiet; Leviathan stopped coughing for now. He got up and went downstairs, only to find a couple of his brothers bored to death as there was nothing on the tv that they could watch. He sighed, and tried to look in the kitchen, only to find some chicken out for defrosting on the counter and a note addressed to the sixth 'Please don't eat it raw, Beel. I'm making rotisserie chicken tonight, xoxo'
It was their writing, and their pretty little hands touched it, wrote it; right not he didn't even care it wasn't meant for him because that little note was making his brain fuzzy and his breathing hard. "Would they ever write me a note... a love letter...? Am I even important... why am I not..?!" He was angry with both himself and the situation at hand.
cough
cough
With each agonizing cough, his heart burns and his throat gets sore. He knows that the little timeglass that was started with the first petal he coughed 2 weeks ago was neer an end. 2 weeks was, for almost everyone that knows about hanahaki a miracle. Usually people die after a maximum of 7 days if the feelings are not reciprocated.... But he was a demon. And it seems that this had doubled the timespan for his suffering-
cough
cough
Leviathans' mind started to haze more and he felt dizzy. He wanted to go back to his room and just text them to come quick. Going on a quest to find'em was both risky and physically hard for him at the moment. And so, he climbed the stairs grasping the railing for support more than ever.
His legs were wobbly and his heart beat faster. cough cough A few more steps and he would be there. cough cough His hand is on the handle and-
thud
He falls to the ground. Leviathan tried to scream for help, but he could barely breathe anymore. Petals... petals everywhere and now even a handful of blooms. He started to cry, his tears running down his cheeks as a desperate cry for help was muffled by the flowers. His eyelids were getting heavier with each breath that he tried to take. And soon, almost closing his eyes, he heard their voice one more time.
"Levi...!?"

I find parallels of you and me in every piece of media I consume. An angel and a demon, a choir and a guitar, day and night, the sun and the moon. I wonder if you think of me too, when you see two opposite things next to each other

An unforgiving war raged on all sides surrounding you. A country that you didn’t care for the name of had begun a revolution, and you were needed to fight. You and your friends. You and your crush.
You, George, Sapnap, and Dream all enlisted at the same time, hoping to get stuck in the same battalion. At first you were refused entry because of you being a woman, but after seeing you fight, the enlisters were more than eager to get you and your friends into the heart of battle.
The four of you had always been fighters, sparring for fun at any given opportunity. When versing the boys, you beat them all effortlessly every single time without fail. The raven and blond haired duo claimed they were going easy, but you all knew they weren’t. The pair acted like older brothers to you, always protecting you and shielding you from the bad things in the world.
The brunette on the other hand, always graciously accepted his defeat. That’s why you liked him so much, he wasn’t afraid to admit to his losses. He was strong, maybe not as physically as others, but mentally and emotionally.
But not being as physically capable was made you nervous having him enrolee beside you. George was there to comfort you every time you worried, holding you close to him. He would never have said it aloud, but he was worried for your safety too.
Your distress for him is what got you distracted, an easy target for the brute pink-haired man on the battlefield.
The battlefield in question wasn’t the most agile place on earth; rotting bodies littered every few feet, and when there wasn’t a corpse there were swords and weapons clashing in their place. The entire grounds was missing massive chunks, a huge ravine centring the warfare.
Dream was fighting a tall brunette who wasn’t that skilled with a weapon in front of you. Sapnap was duelling a young blonde with a loud mouth a few fights over from you. George was running from an older man with his sword raised behind you.
Finishing off the target below you, you wanted to race to George’s side to assist him in defeating the older blonde. Sending him a smirk and a wink, you climbed off of the bloody form underneath you. Before you could even get a few steps towards your best friends pursuer, a certain red caped man came charging your way.
You had managed to raise your sword to meet his just in time to avoid him cutting your head off at the neck. Pushing you backwards, he swung for your blood once again. Blocking and taking feeble steps back were the only things you could do. Your strength was in no way a match for his, him easily towering over you.
You felt the presences behind you begin to disappear, until there were none at all. Taking a quick glance back, you realised what the crowned man attacking you was doing.
He was backing you into the ravine.
You were less than seven metres away from the gaping hole’s ledge, edging closer ever so slightly with every blow he delivered.
George seemed to have won the fight between him and his chaser, moving to help you next. Dream and Sapnap were right on his heels, well aware of Technoblade’s abilities.
The drop down to the bottom of the ravine had to of been enough to knock you out if you landed well enough, but if not? It could definitely be fatal.
Every time one of the three of your best friends attempted to rush to your side and stop Technoblade from his evil scheme, another one of his men seemed to run over and occupy them. Man, after man, after man.
But the trio didn’t need to stop Technoblade from pushing you down the ravine, because he didn’t. What he did do, was step on a landmine which you had seemingly averted. The blast killed the pink haired male immediately, his body lying a few feet away from his initial footing.
You, on the other hand, weren’t so lucky. You wished you had died on the spot like he had; it would’ve stopped a hell of a lot of pain on your behalf. The impact of the explosion sent you soaring over the ledge of the ravine, falling to your death whilst being burnt alive.
Everything seemed to move in slow motion for the four of you. The looks of horror on Dream, Sapnap and George’s faces as the watched you plummet to the ground was enough for you to accept your fate.
The feeling of falling a million miles a minute yet so slowly made you feel queasy, along with the immense agony of such a sudden impact on the bottom. Your back broke as soon as you touched down, along with your skull.
You died on impact, everything washing away within mere milliseconds. At least you weren’t in pain for any longer, death dragging you by the hand once you had hit the smooth stone.
Running up to the ledge of the man-made canyon, the sight of your bleeding and broken body was enough to send the trio into a heart broken spiral. They were all by your side in an instant, your limp form wrapped in George’s arms as he sobbed over your body.
He begged, and begged, and begged for you to return, to come back, even for a second just so he could hear you again. Your melodic voice that had a way with calming people. Your angelic smile that always made whoever you were with smile too.
Your two brothers stood over him, silently bawling at the thought of having to go on without you. How could they live without your playful nagging keeping them on their toes?
They couldn’t help but smile at the fact that even if you died, you’d managed dragged the infamous ‘blood god’ down with you, whether you knew it or not.
Y/N style.

How many times do I have to say it?
‘Drive home safely,’
I love you.
‘Dinner’s ready, whenever you are,’
I love you.
‘No, I’ll wait for you,’
I love you.
Are you listening?
Will you ever?
Because no man wants to walk into a silent home,
No wife to greet him,
No woman to ease the weight of the day,
No partner ready to bear every stress, every worry,
Because there is no love in a marriage where she doesn’t ever say it,
‘I’ll take care of that, you sleep,’
I love you.
Just like there is no love in the way he never seems to hear it.

Tears cloud my eyes, but miraculously I blink them clear. Somehow, my voice comes out steady and light, and not like someone reached into my rib cage and held my heart inside his hand just long enough to run a thumb across a secret wound. "I know," I tell him, and, "I love you too." It's true, but not the full truth. There aren't words vast or special enough to capture the ecstasy and the ache and love and fear I feel just looking at him now.

Chapter 12: Trust Your Teacher
The next day is like any other day which is you will repeat all your routine as long as you are in the Kamar Taj which is waking up, breakfast, classes, training, lunch, reading and dinner and then repeat it the next day. Unless that day is different. today is the difference.
You and Stephen, whose confidence is becoming more apparent after a few months of his low profile, walked towards the room where the two of you met the Ancient One for the first time after being summoned by her. In your point of view, this must be about yesterday's incident which is understandable because obviously Wong will report it to the Ancient One seeing that she is the Headmistress of this place.
And now you need to thicken your ears for the Ancient One rambling session which obviously led to punishment such as running around the Kamar Taj or clean library here. You looked at Stephen nervously. Stephen who was wearing a dark blue tunic appeared calm and curious as he strode towards the Sanctuary which was only a few steps away. He and the dark blue tunic are so perfect which you found him rather attractive and dashing in that mature color.
Compared to you who wears a F/c tunic that suits you, which you found very comfortable and cool in the eyes of people. Not to be left out, your fingerless gloves on both of your hands are a gift from Dhani who said they are lucky gloves because they have been through many battles before. So technically it is a little more 'effective'.
Although the tunic that you and Stephen are wearing looks like it is difficult to wear and looks thick with various fabrics and covers, but it is actually light and cool because the material used is a material that is easy to catch the wind no matter what color it is made of. Probably one of the spells they use to make these tunics comfortable to wear.
"You're staring at me" Stephen muttered.
You came out of your reverie. "sorry" you shyly looked ahead.
"Like what you see?" Stephen said, teasingly.
"I always like what I see on you especially those sharp cheekbones" you replied idly.
Stephen's face turned red. He didn't expect that answer from you. You usually denied all the teasing he did but now you have the courage to answer him with a counter that made him fall in love with you hard.
"I thought teasing only I can do" Stephen nudged your shoulder with his elbow.
"Well, Doctor Strange. You're not the only one who's good at teasing, right?" you replied, smirking.
September the wind blew gently on the Ancient tree in the middle of the courtyard when the two of you arrived in front of the Sanctuary door, the place where the Ancient One was.
Ancient One who wears a dark green tunic as if expecting you two to come is standing in the middle of the sanctuary, both hands are placed behind her back.
Ancient One glanced at you two before she tipped her head to let you two in.
"Once, in this room, you begged me to let you learn, now I'm telling you question every lesson, preferring to teach yourself. " Ancient One said, referring to Stephen.
"Once, I was asked to free my mind, now I'm told to blindly accept rules that make no sense." Stephen replied walking in front of you.
You grabbed Stephen's arm to calm him down. Stephen glanced at you before his look softened at the sight of your face then looked back at the Ancient One.
"Like the rule against conjuring a gateway in the library? " Ancient One raised an eyebrow at you both.
You gaped. "Wong tell you about that? about us?"
Ancient One faintly smirked before tilting her head slightly to the side. "You two need a safe space to practice your spells."
The Ancient One gestures and creates a new dimensional getaway behind you both. The center of the gateway looks like
a mirror. A cracked mirror, to be exact. It's like reality where you are crack. You were surprised to look around you. The hand holding Stephen's arm was held tightly by you. To shocked to the point of loss of words.
Stephen is also nothing else than that. He had the same reaction as you. He shifted his gaze around several times to make sure he wasn't dreaming. This is the first time you and Stephen have seen such an unexpected thing. But, This is the Kamar Taj. You literally learn about magic and spells. Hell, your fingers can also produce magic so no wonder this kind of situation can happen.
It's not something you can decipher like your Doctor's career. It is something that requires you to open your eyes and mind and make your point of view wider to accept such things. Universes and space are always interesting things for you but this is more than universes and space. This is more in-depth and detailed. It's like you get to know the organs of the human body again along with their functions.
You both stumbled backwards into the new dimension, too speechless to say anything.
"You are now inside the Mirror
Dimensions. Ever-present, boot undetected, a reflection of reality as we know it." Ancient One explained as one of the students was walking with a tray of tea in both her hands before she kneeled to the shrubbery table to prepare tea.
You let go of Stephen's arm to observe the student who didn't bother with the presence of the three of you. It's like the three of you don't exist there.
'fascinating' you thought.
Stephen waved his hand in front of the student's face but the student did not give any reaction instead she just poured tea into the teacup before getting up and leaving.
"It's like we're not here but at the same time we're here" you mumbled.
Stephen agreed with what speculation you made. Ancient One smirked as she heard your speculation.
"We use the mirror dimension to train, supervise, sometimes to contain threats." Ancient One explained. "You won't want to be left without your sling ring here-"
"Hold it. Sorry. What do you mean by "threats"?" Stephen glanced at Ancient One with a skeptical face.
"Learning of an infinite multiverse includes learning of infinity dangers. "Ancient One replied, simply.
"like what? Like Kaecillius? The one that Dhani always mentioned about?" you interjected. The Ancient One could only remain silent.
Stephen was still not satisfied with what Ancient One replied. "Then why aren't you telling us everything. Why are you teaching us? to kill with sticks, why do yours librarians get beheaded, why is a Nepalese monastery run by a white lady, talk about one step forward and two steps-"
The Ancient One waves an arm. The walls in the room began to WARP, reality bending out of shape. It becomes impossible, Escher-like space - the floor is now also the ceiling. You looked around in awe and yet with confusion written on your face. Stephen looked around with his mouth opened too awed by what he witnessed.
Above him, the tea servers move about, seemingly oblivious to what is happening. The Ancient One looked at you both with unreadable face.
"Because if I told you every single
thing you don’t already know, you
would run from here in terror." She exclaimed.
Stephen looked at her naivety with vexation. Her response is not something that Stephen can't accept, you understand him. Stephen always likes that. Always want a specific reason instead of straight forward.
"and you expect us to run from here, now? in preemptive terror." you responded, cocking your head to the side.
The Ancient One smirked faintly which you both didn't notice. "Yet you won't. Because of your ego. And your determination to learn.
Isn't that something. Your refusal
to be weak - by far your greatest
weakness - itself a path to what
will become your greatest power." She said wisely.
You stared at her questioningly. "care to elaborate?"
"What I'm trying to say is, you refuse to be weak yet you are still in a state of weakness. But your determination to learn is something that makes you accept greatness while Strange and his ego refuse to be weak but he still has a long way to go to reject his greatest weaknesses and yet he still tries to accept greatness" she explained, fidgeting her fingers together behind her back.
Stephen blinked. "so you said that, I can be better if I get rid of my ego?"
"Certainly" She nodded a little.
"But why aren't you telling us about everything that you teach us? Why does Kaecillius and his followers that Dhani is always busy with have anything to do with you all? What are you really up to?" you questioned
"I can't really tell the two of you about this yet but the path you two are on, is the path that you both agreed to go on"
But you ant Stephen already know certain things.

•ROOFTOP DEFENSE COMPOUND - DAY•
"So how ancient is she, exactly?" Stephen asked as he observed the Ancient One who was watching another pair of students in front of her.
Mordo glanced up at Stephen before he got up from his kneeling position after finishing tying the laces of his leather boots. He smirked. "No one knows the age of the
Sorcerer Supreme. Only that she's
Celtic, and doesn't talk about her
past."
─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
"why? surely you know who she is and how old she is" you replied questioningly as you glanced at Dhani who was tightening her belt around her waist.
"Well, like I said. She never talked about herself nor did she talk about her past." Dhani responded.
─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
"And you follow her, not knowing...?"
Mordo walked onto the practice floor, waiting for Stephen to prepare. Stephen mirrored him then opened his fighting stand and they both circled facing each other. Testing the distance between the two of them.
"I know she is steadfast, and unpredictable. Merciless, and kind. She made me what I am. Trust your teacher." He whipped into the a kick that makes Stephen leaped back.
─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
You stepped back from Dhani who tried to swing, her practice dagger at you.
"best advice, don't lose your way" Dhani said as she opened her fighting stand again.
"like Kaecillius?" you replied, also opening your fighting stand.
"Aye" Dhani exclaimed before she charged at you with her practice dagger.
─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
Stephen punched Mordo's side so hard that Mordo stepped back. A flicker of surprise was etched in Mordo's eyes that Stephen knew that name.
"Did you know him?" Stephen waving his hurt hand trying to relieve the cramp.
"When he came to us, he had lost everyone he ever loved. He was grieving. Broken. He searched for answers in the mystic arts. " Mordo told Stephen while rubbing his side that hurt.
─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
"he was a strange guy.. He always sat alone in the library. Sometimes I saw him with some students sitting together like they were trying to form a cult. He was always interested in dark stuff, you know." Dhani told you as she fixed the hold on her practice dagger.
"So you really know about him?" You said.
"not much, I joined Kamar Taj when he had already joined. So I only know a little about him." Dhani replied before she held out her practice dagger to you. "now I want you to train with this dagger as well"
─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
Mordo gets Strange in a chokehold, talking fiercely in his ear as Strange tries to escape. In the emotion of the subject matter, things get a little real for a minute.
"But he was proud and headstrong. He questioned the Ancient One. Rejected her teachings. " Mordo said in Stephen's ears, fiercely.
Stephen elbowed Mordo's side hard to escape from his chokehold. Mordo automatically lost his hold on Stephen. Both of them gasped. Stephen rubbed his sore neck while Mordo gasped for water while rubbing his side. They began to circle again.
─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
"Next thing I know, he already left Kamar Taj with some students following him like sheep" Dhani stopped the dagger from making contact with her skin as you tried to push the practice dagger into her stomach.
You stay in that position." He stole a forbidden ritual, didn't he? "
"yes" Dhani replied before putting more pressure in her hands to pushed you away.
─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
Stephen raised out his fighting stance, lowering his hands. He breathe heavily.
"And what does this ritual do?" He questioned.
Mordo shrugged off that question. He smirked. "No more questions" Mordo exclaimed before he lifted up an ancient bronze quarterstaff from a rack. It comes alive in his hands as soon as he lifted it up to showed it ay Stephen.
"What's that" Stephen pointed out.
Another questions making Mordo shakes his head wryly.
"A relic. Some magic is too powerful to sustain, so we imbue objects with it, allowing them to take the strain when we cannot. This is the Staff of the Living Tribunal." Mordo explained before he demonstrated the staff by stretching it until it released a spark of fire and then swung it to the ground causing Stephen to step back.
"But there are many relics. The Wand of Watoomb. The Hoary Hosts of Hoggoth. The Vaulting Boots of Valtorr, The Songbirds" Mordo continued, circling around Stephen as he shows Stephen the relic.
Stephen blinked at the flood of information.
"They just roll off the tongue, don't they? " he said jokingly.
"I haven't even mentioned the Brazier of Bom'Galiath. " Mordo said, smirking.
Stephen chuckled slightly at that. "When do I get a relic?"
─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
"Soon" Dhani replied while spinning her two relics in her hands with a show off.
"How come you are so sure that I will get the relic? What if I don't get it?" You exclaimed.
"I just think you can get relics. I mean, if you can't get it, at least you have magic to defend yourself. Not that you can't summon any weapon, right?" Dhani said, cheekily.
You nodded in agreement. "So what do we want to do now?"
Dhani smirked before settling in her fighting stance. The songbirds in her hands are readily in her hands. "try summoning a weapon, dear"
You nodded and then without hesitation, you began conjuring a whip from both of your hands. A nimbus of power crackling in your holds as you try to shape it, Dhani strikes you with her two daggers.
You dodged her attack by hitting one of her daggers from her hand making the Wren fall to the ground not far from where the two of you were standing. Dhani cocked her head as if to show that what you did was not bad before she stretched her free hand towards the Wren.
The Nightingale from her other hand starts to glow from each carving up to the ruby stone in the middle that glows with a purple glow. Quickly, The Wren returned to Dhani's hand before Dhani struck you again but this time with Nightingale.
"fight! fight like your life depends on it. The enemies will not know what rest is!" Dhani shouted every time she attacked you.
You dodged from every attack Dhani gave with whipped magic in both hands. You breathed fast and tired as you dodged and blocked Dhani's counterattack.
─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
Mordo leaps high into the air, magical boots flashing, to come down behind Strange and knock him sprawling. Stephen breathed heavily as he lay on the ground. Mordo looked down at him. Sweat covering both men.
"Because someday it may." Mordo said.
Stephen blinked a few times trying to understand the meaning behind what Mordo said. Little did they know, The Ancient One was watching the interaction of her four students, smirking faintly.
─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
You breath heaving as you fell to the ground after Dhani tackling your legs which is not painful anymore as the first time you got it. You're healed legs. You looked at Dhani who was bent over trying to get oxygen in her lungs.
"well, that's quite intense" Dhani breathed out.
You groaned as you tried to sit up. Of course, your thighs and other body parts will bruise depending on how hard Dhani hits you.
You're lucky she didn't use her two daggers for real. Otherwise, you will bleed out on the ground long ago.
"next time training, remind me if you want to attack me before I have time to summon weapons" you stretched out your tired right hand.
Dhani shook his head. "nahh, tell me what kind of bad people will tell you to attack you before you conjure a weapons?" Dhani approached you before stretching her hand out for you to greet. "Get up, grandma. Sewing time is over"
You groaned at her comments before reaching for her hands and getting up.
