I believe that very few humans in this world are able to not only tap into their full potential, but also evolve and specialize beyond that. These sort of people are and perhaps will always remain a mystery not only to me, but to a lot of the population. I am also of the opinion that Taylor Swift is one amongst that special group of people. I am so amazed that I get to witness her craft in the same lifetime as her.

I have this urge to start a lengthy fantasy series and i absolutely abhor the reality that i can't afford that sort of distraction and escapism right now as I have to appear for several determinant examinations in the next three to four months 😫

Warning : potential spoilers for House of Sky and Breath.

So after finishing House of Sky and breath I think we can all agree that :-

- SJM added Cormac and Sofie to the story as plot tools only and that they both had too much potential to be good complex characters, so their unfortunate deaths felt like a waste.

- " Light it up " was supposed to be a thing between Danika and Bryce only. Period.

- Ithan being infatuated with Bryce was an unnecessary subplot, it did not achieve anything other than the readers' sympathy and pity for Ithan as a character.

- Bryce and Hunt's relationship was a little too much for me to handle. In the good and bad ways. Idk I guess it did not feel right that they were together throughout the whole book except the ending of course, I guess I wanted drama and not too much of their romance.

- SJM needs to take a fucking breath and just stop with the mating trope. Why did Danika have to have a mate and why tf were Hunt and Bryce revealed as mates too?

- Ruhn really is the only character who had some character development.

- Bryce and Hunt really had no major character development whatsoever.

- So the one time Aidas did appear in the 700-800 pages long book, he did not in fact appear at all?

( Note - I think I'll keep adding more as I remember them. )

Also me : In need of a severe distraction, wondering whether I should read fantasy or romance since the last fantasy romance I read completely wrecked me.

I literally read books for escapism and then when I finish a good book, I become obsessed, and then I start another book to get over the previous book and I become obsessed with it too and hence the cycle continues.

Watched SHADOW AND BONE and ohmygod the show was way better than I expected.

One of the best book adaptations to exist.

And the best part? - They removed a lot of sexist clichés from the books and replaced/ changed it w something better. One of them being The Darkling asking Alina for sexual consent.

Also they made Mal somehow likeable in the show.!? I did not like him in the books, can't say that I hated him but he was def annoying.

And don't even get me started on the Darklina scenes, like saints the chemistry!🥵

Ik the Darkling is the bad guy but I still hope for a Darklina endgame. The thing is, when I read the books, the chemistry seemed real and much more passionate between Darklina, though he was the Evil bad guy I still hoped that he might get an redemption arc, but unfortunately he didn't and my hopes were crushed. And a lot of ppl wanted Darklina endgame, and because of how the Darkling's storyline was going in the books, a lot of audience didn't want to continue reading the books, I hope it doesn't happen for the show tho.

In the show, the Darkling is not evil as he was in the books, yet.

And I just truly wish that Netflix and the writers listen to the audience and give him a substantial redemption arc. Malina is sweet but c'mon Darklina is superior, gorgeous, passionate and powerful.

Can Netflix just renew this show for like 10 seasons already!

Also Kaz and Inej ohmygod, I died, dead, literally.

Jesper and Milo carried the show damn.

Genya, Zoya, Marie, Nadia, Baghra, Nina, Ivan, Fedyor were all so perfectly casted.

Amazing, brilliant, gorgeous, breathtaking cast.

The visuals, casting, direction, lgbtq characters, writers, poc and Asian actors -- INCREDIBLE, one of the few Netflix shows which fulfilled my expectations.

Also totally crushing on Amita Suman, the woman is breathtaking. And Ben Barnes that man definitely has my whole heart. Jessie, Archie and Freddy etc, like this cast makes me question my sexuality.

Tbh this show is so good that I can't believe that it's a Netflix production.

Fingers still crossed for a Darkling redemption arc and Darklina endgame.

Ik I'm late to the party but I watched GOT in just 7 days and I'm so sad rn!

The finale wasn't just bad it was heartbreakingly horrible.

Totally unexpected and shocking.

Daenerys and Jon deserved so much better.

Even Cersei did deserved a better death..it wasn't the kind of death I wanted Cersei and Jaime to have.

The kind of they deserved should've been like Cersei was executed by Daenerys and Jaime should've had a heroic death in which he keeps up his word or something.

And the night king deserved better than what he got!

Also why in the actual fuck would they make BRAN the ruler of the seven kingdoms!!?

And in the end the targaryens ( Jon and Daenerys ) should've ruled and they should've announced North as an independent kingdom.

Mygawd I could write a better alternative ending then the writers in the final season.
