I hate producing an album from across the country. Honestly I kinda hate it in general? It is an emotional rollercoaster that I don't need and can barely handle - trusting my art and my music to be honed and created by someone else. The rough mix of "Paint" makes me cry everytime because it is so perfect and so accurate to my vision. It is beautiful... Aaaand then I get the rough mix for "How Long" and "Adore You" and they sound so bad to me that I can't even finish listening to the song. This is the ebb and flow that eats at my heart. There are few things more important to me right now than creating music, and in dark times I wanted to feel light - but now I just feel angry. Angry and Sad. I did a gram of psilocybin and cried 5 years worth of tears. When life gives you Suffering, one after the other, you may find yourself with no time to look back, to process, to reflect.
