Request: yes, I hope you like it! Summary: Luke comforts his best friend after a shitty day. Fandom: 5sos Words: 873 Warnings: swearing(?), a little bit of angst, sexism (just a little bit and not directly.), I think that's it, let me know if there should be others. Notes: This takes place this year, Luke and the reader met during the tour with one direction. The reader was a photographer for 5sos.

I always liked the rain, the noise, not the feeling. The sound of rain was comforting, it ticking on the windows and roof. The feeling was annoying and cold, it falling on your skin and clothes. Glasses didn't help either. Glasses were supposed to help you see, but right now I can barely see anything. I was cold and soaking wet, and I could barely see where I walked. I noticed that rain wasn't the only thing wetting my cheeks, tears were falling, frustrated tears, sad tears, angry tears. Trying to hold it in, seemed impossible, but I still tried. I was almost home, I could almost shower and crawl into bed. But almost wasn't now and I hated that.

I could see my apartment from here, just a few more minutes before I would open the door to my apartment, my apartment where I would be alone. I wish Luke was here, but since he is on tour, he ain't going to be there. But God, how I wished I could hug him and tell him about my shitty day. Tell him about the shitty date, tell him about my stupid boss. As I walked up the stairs, I couldn't help but kinda dread going into my lonely apartment. I wish somebody would be waiting there, or that I wouldn't be going in alone, but that date ruined that for tonight. I got to my floor and began to walk to my door when I heard voices from inside. Weird and creepy. I couldn't hear what they were saying and who they were. I grabbed deodorant, the only "weapon" available. I quietly grabbed my key and went to unlock my door, preparing for the worst. The tears had stopped and I had wiped them away, but I could feel them coming again. This time tears of fear. I quickly opened the door and held the deodorant in front of me. "AAAH, fuck sake, it's just me and the guys" wait a second "LUKE?!" "Yeah, are you okay?" "You scared the crap out of me, aren't you supposed to be on tour." "Short break" Ashton replied for him. "You could have called, you should have called." "Yeah maybe I should have, but are you okay, you're shivering and sort of crying?" That's when I broke, a sob escaping my chest, that clenching feeling in my chest. Luke of course immediately brought me into a hug. "We'll come back tomorrow." Michael said, patting my back, Ashton and Calum following him. "Call us when you need something." Calum said, before he closed the door behind him. Luke was still hugging me and rubbing my back and I was still sobbing. "It's okay, I'm sorry." He whispered. "No no no, it wasn't your fault." I managed to get out between sobs. He began shushing me and leading me to the couch. He sat down with me, pulling me into him. He began to hum my favorite song as I began to calm down, my heart rate going down and crying quieting down until I was calm. "What happened?" "Shitty day" "What happened?" "Maybe we should get your ears checked." I tried to joke. "I'm serious, you just broke down in front of us, I know you, you don't normally do that. So what happened?" "I had a shitty date with this guy who really didn't like feminism. He was constantly talking badly about it. I don't know why I stayed for so long, but I eventually stood up and left. Now here's the thing, apparently, he is friends with my boss and called him." I said, sitting up straight. "What did your boss do?" Luke asked, wrapping his arm around my shoulder "He fired me." "He did what?" "We really should check your ears out." "Stop joking." "Okay okay, but yes, he fired me for ditching his friend. I have no job as of right now." "Oh, you have one." "Luke-" "I'll make some calls. You'll have a job and I won't have to miss you." "I missed you too, but what about Ryan?" I wondered putting my head on his shoulder. "He'll have to make place for you." He laughed out, making me smile. "Now please go shower, you're freezing and I'm cold too now." Luke said, pushing me away, jokingly. "Yes, boss." I said, standing up "I will be soon." "Nah, you will always be my best friend." "Your only friend." "That's not true, I'm friends with lots of people." I said, clutching my heart, pretending to be hurt.

I walked out of the bathroom and back to the couch, dressed in a short and one of Luke's sweaters. "Hey! That's my sweater." "You stole one of my keys, that's way worse." "I didn't steal it, I borrowed it." He said, while I sat down. "It's still stealing if you borrowed it without my permission." "Okay, wise ass." He joked. I saw that he had a movie ready, my favorite Disney cartoon to be precise. "Really?" "I know it is your favorite one." He said, before standing up. "Where are you going?" I asked, hoping he wouldn't leave. "The kitchen, I made thee." He answered, before walking into the kitchen. I smiled, that dork.

A short drabble of Will & the Apollo kids + a sprinkle of angst

PROMPT: Michael,Lee and the other apollo campers realizing the new tiny blonde kid in the hermes cabin is the son of the Naomi Solace and freaking out.

(A/N: I very loosely followed the prompt in the end)

It wasn’t surprising when the new camper, a small blonde boy with blue eyes, named Will Solace ended up in the infirmary. The first time Lee had treated Will he had been walked in by Maron, a satyr Lee knew brought back tons of demigods, covered in marks from where Stymphalian birds had attacked him. At the time, Will hadn’t said much to him, or anyone else, but he listened well. “It’s nothing too bad. Here,” Lee placed a small piece of ambrosia in Will’s hand with a gentle smile, “this will help you feel better. Just eat that and you’ll be feeling as good as new in no time.” Lee ruffled Will’s hair and walked over to check on a nasty cut that Sherman Yang of the Ares Cabin had gotten during training.

That had been two weeks ago. Will remained unclaimed by his godly parent, while it was disappointing (but unsurprising), several campers including Michael Yew did their best to cheer him up. Hermes and Apollo were at archery together, a new concept that Chiron had suggested. While two different cabins were put together for activities, all of the campers knew the real hope was that the Gods would find promise in one of their unclaimed children during an activity and claim them.

As it turned out, Will was better than other campers with a bow and arrow, though just barely above bar by Apollo standards. Michael found himself drifting over to the boy to help him more and more throughout the session. “You're stance is good, but you need to work on focusing your aim at your target. Why don't you try setting the bow down and throwing the arrow to see if that helps?” He suggested.

Will let out a huff of air and kicked at the ground beneath his feet. “What if I'm just really bad? I'm not even good at holding a sword!” His voice wavered with emotion as his eyes welled with tears. Michael couldn't help but feel bad for him. Unlike most campers, he had been claimed his first day after shooting an apple off of Luke Castellan's head. (If asked, he would swear it was an accident, but some other campers seemed to disagree.)

“Look, Will, I can't say what you'll be good at and what you won't, as your godly parent hasn't claimed you.” The younger boy sniffled and focused his attention on the ground. “But what I can say is that not every demigod is good at the same stuff. I can barely heal to save my life. Yeah, I can give someone nectar and ambrosia, watch over them, give them mortal medicine, all that jazz, but I don't have Lee or my big sister, Juliet's, skill in medicine.” This made Will's eyes widen in shock, because all of the Apollo children were so gifted. (Luke told him it was because their father was the God of a bunch of stuff.)

“My Mama says that everyone has their own skills.” Will spoke up after a few minutes of twisting the hem of his shirt in his fists.

“Your mama sounds very wise.” Michael smiled and picked up the bow Will had been using.

“She is! She's a musician!” Michael noticed how Will's blue eyes seemed to move like the sky when he mentioned his mom. He figured just because he didn't have the best relationship with his own at a young age, the same didn't have to be for all demigods.

“Oh? What's her name? Maybe I know of her.”

“Naomi Solace.” Michael almost choked at the proud tone, not that it wasn't completely appropriate. Naomi Solace was an absolute icon in the music industry. Their head counselor, Sam - a warm, ivory guy who stood at 5 '11, who would be leaving after this summer, had brought a ton of her records and CD's from home to keep in the cabin.

“Seriously? You're Naomi Solace's son!?” The other Apollo kids turned their heads in excitement and began to crowd around them. Will just nodded his head nervously, afraid he had said something wrong.

“That's fucking awesome! We all love her!” Catherine, an umber toned Apollo girl with heterochromia, spoke up.

“Will is still a child, watch your tongue, Cathy.” Sam scolded with a fond, exasperated expression. Will found himself bursting out into a fit of giggles. He had heard much worse while on the road with his mother, but he appreciated the sentiment nonetheless.

“You have totally got to introduce us one day, little buddy.” Another Apollo child, who Will had forgotten the name of, spoke up. The children of the sun God had never been anything but welcoming, so after pretending to think about it for a minute Will grinned widely. “Alright, just remember your manners.”

The rest of the day, the Apollo cabin borrowed, or rather stole, Will so he could join them in their activities. While the boy enjoyed the company of the Hermes kids, he felt a sense of belonging that he couldn't place when he was laughing alongside the talented Apollo children. That night at dinner, instead of offering his food to Hermes, he sent an offering to the God of the Sun.

Please, I don't know if I am your son or not, but I really hope I am. I know I may not be as great as Michael or Catherine, but I feel connected to them. They feel like home….like mama…like sunshine.

short and sweet jaceluke drabble + hinted jacegon/jacemond

jace laughs against luke's shoulder, burying his face into the younger boy's neck. the warmth of both of their bodies seeps into the other through their matching doublets. jace's hair, a lighter brown and curling properly now that he's letting himself grow it out, tangles into luke's wilder, darker curls.

luke works his thumb beneath the hem of his brother's doublet, grinning widely at baela's crass jest. reclining comfortably as the three of them are beneath the weirwood tree, his eyes catch momentarily against the burning gaze of their two uncles.

aegon and aemond are seated closer to the castle. they nurse twin goblets of wine, but it's clear only aegon bothers to drown his jealousy with his cups. aemond's gaze is keen where his older brother's is hazy with drink. that lone periwinkle eye follows the motions of luke's thumb as it glides against jace's soft skin.

"luke?"

he hums an affirmative, returning his attentions to a much more enjoyable subject than their half-blind uncle. warm brown irises stare at him inquisitively, a mirror of his own that he has welcomed since as long as he can remember.

"yes, jace?"

"told you, he didn't hear me at all," baela interjects with a snort. "at the risk of repeating myself," she starts, rolling her eyes longsufferingly, "jace and i were thinking about a race later. should we expect you and arrax to join us, or" and here baela smirks "will moondancer and i be alone with only ourselves for company?"

she aims a pointed look at luke's hand around jace's waist, jace's head on luke's shoulder.

any closer and jace would be in his lap.

hm, luke rather likes that idea.

"he's doing it again jace."

a light pinch at his side has luke shaking that delectable image out of his mind. jace's eyeroll is a perfect twin of baela's.

"don't be rude, little brother. be good and pay attention, won't you?"

"oh?" luke lifts a dark brow, the meat of his fingers digging into the older boy's hip as he flexes his grip. "and do i get a reward? for being good?" he licks his lips, uncaring of their audience. their sister is well used to this - the singular focus only jace ever seems to inspire from him- and he'll get another lecture for it, he's sure, but so too does luke have a particular fondness for reminding their uncles of his unique privileges.

jace huffs a laugh, swatting his chest and knocking him back against the weirwood playfully. his brother, his betrothed, removes himself from their semi-embrace in the same movement, leaving luke to look up at him. from this angle, jace's head appears crowned by sunlight, just out from under the branches of the heart tree.

he's beautiful. absolutely beautiful, and in two months, he'll be luke's entirely - wedded before their family, before the realm, and before their gods.

his beautiful jacaerys smiles down at him, amused and challenging in equal measure. already luke laments the feeling of jace's skin on his fingertips, under his lips. under his tongue. they will have the rest of their lives for luke to worship him; it doesn't make the current wait seem any less agonizing.

"if you and arrax outfly vermax and i..." jace trails off, making a show of pretending to think. his smile grows until it's an open-mouthed grin, that always tempting tongue caught between his teeth. "we can discuss that reward."

jace helps baela up with a hand, the two of them linking arms and leaving him there on his back with a wordless agreement.

he watches his brother depart and thinks, promises, swears: i'm going to swallow you whole. luke rises from the ground and pats his clothes gently. he trails after his siblings, musing about the endless positions he plans to enjoy jace, before catching aemond and aegon's gazes once more.

luke pastes on his most charming grin and tells them with his eyes, look all you wish, dear uncles, i'll be the one making him scream.
