Anyway I just made myself laugh out loud with this:

Tony was a college student the last time Howard saw him, probably working on his masters or even his PhD. Maybe he dated and had sex, but Howard probably would have seen it as “boy growing into a man” stuff. It’s normal for college kids, and personally, the less he hears about it the better.

Now Steve. Steve assumed fondue was slang for sex and got super jealous about Howard asking Peggy out for some. Howard probably thinks “ah so uneducated he thinks fondue is slang for sex,” and then, immediately after, “lmao what a pervert? Why’d he assume it was a sex thing and not just a date thing? I’ve decided I’m going to be insufferable about this” and he makes fun of Steve for being a pervert until he dies.

What I’m saying is, I want Howard to come to the future in one of those hand-wavy ways and he hears that Steve and Tony are fucking (the agent was not very good at explaining being gay was more widely accepted and that Steve and Tony are actually dating and in love). He remembers College Age Tony. He remembers pervert Steve.

So he assumes Steve is the one who corrupted Tony and reacts accordingly by breaking his fist on Steve’s face.

I’m not saying all the fic where Howard is like “you corrupted my greatest creation blah blah blah >:V” aren’t good because they are I just think it’d be funny for Tony to be the one wrong-footed because he thought his dad would hate him for sleeping with Steve but here Howard is attempting to smack Steve with a chair for “corrupting my poor boy do you understand how young he is you pervert I’m going to smash your brains in or die trying!!!”

Also it would be even funnier if Steve really is the kinky one in their relationship because Tony did all his kinky stuff earlier in life and he’ll do it for Steve but he also likes just tender vanilla sex.

Steve: How did you know 😨

Howard: *scream of pure unadulterated rage, breaks the chair over Steve’s head and then breaks his other fist on Steve’s face*

Sorry, but I'm just going through my room and looking for what I can sell and I just found so many emberassing stuff from my teen years

I had a folder with all my favourite ships and I would describe the ships in a few words and then I would put post its with different prompts that I wanted to write for that couple, this including original ideas and ideas that I have seen like 20x on AO3 already

I had a folder with pokemon infos where I would exactly plan my team, where i find them, how they evolve and then in newer games where all the mega evolution stones are, i literally didnt have to look up anything because i was prepared

You'd think, looking at the collection of fics I'm waiting for updates on, I have certain OTPs. That I ship certain people. You'd be wrong, in some cases. Those are just pairings I don't hate, or can manage to read on occasion without wanting to yell, or that I don't particularly care about one way or another.

It's just that sometimes you gotta read what you gotta read to get the tropes you want. There can be slim pickings after years in the fandom, and you gotta leave your preferred ships (or lack of ship) to satisfy the hunger for new content.

Summary: Tony and Steve can't stand each other, but they agree for the sake of the team and the people that rely on them that they have to figure out a way to get along. So they come up with a plan to spend time together, in the form of a Buzzfeed listicle of things to do in New York City. Because if you go to enough museums with the guy you can't stand, you should *eventually* stop hating him, right? *** Come for the slow burn, stay for everyone's opinions on Cats the musical and a story about teenage Tony stealing an ice cream truck in an attempt to get laid.

Other pairings: Clint/Natasha (QPR), Thor/Jane

Thoughts: This is fun and funny. They fall in love trying to be friends and then have a terrible time getting together because they’re both stubborn. Plus a hefty dose of Avengers as family. Especially if you keep going to the sequels.

Calling someone a racist just because they didn’t like a fictional poc character is —I don’t even know what it is! But here’s some reasoning:

Very petty

Uneducated

Unaware of surroundings

Got no better counter argument, so I’m gonna attack instead

Internalised racism

Unaware of surroundings (because they live in their worlds and deny whatever exists out of their realms)

ps: this is coming from a very non-white, unprivileged, person of colour, who’s been discriminated on the grounds of skin colour and native place.

I have the right to not like a character based on their actions, not their race and gender or anything else. I can dislike a character and still enjoy their story. I can dislike a character in the beginning and end up liking them —because of character development, it’s not rocket science.
