When Steve raised a single dark blond eyebrow at you an hour ago, you knew that your simple afternoon of doing laundry and watching your favourite trashy reality show was going to be thrown out the window in favour of his devious idea.
“You know we’re gonna get in trouble right?” You had told him as his thick fingers pulled at the waistband of your sweatpants after he made himself comfortable on your couch.
He looked up at you with a smirk. “Not if you listen to what I tell you to do.”
So now here you were, on one of your boyfriends’ lap, trying as hard as you could to watch the documentary he had put on but with your mind already going fuzzy around the edges, it was incredibly hard.
You shifted on his lap but suddenly, Steve’s large hands were on your hips, keeping you completely still. “I told you not to fidget.” He chastised you. A shameful heat crawled up your neck and you could only whine.
“Sorry Captain.” He smiled at you and granted a single kiss to your cheek.
“Good girl. Now, Thor should be home soon and I don’t think he would appreciate that we’re playing without him so stay still.” You nodded and forced your body to relax back into his strong chest, laying your head on his shoulder where the smell of his cologne was most prominent.
Steve readjusted the blanket that was draped over both your legs, pulling it up so it now lay across your waist, completely concealing your lower half.
And right on time, the front door opened and a booming voice called out- “My loves! I have returned!”
Steve gave you another firm warning in the form of a pinch to your naked thigh before he called back. “We’re in the living room!”
Thundering footsteps echoed through the house as Thor hurried to get to you. “You would not believe the day that I have had, first Loki tricked me… again! But do not fret, my wound shall heal soon- what are you doing?”
His massive body easily filled the doorframe, his blue eyes squinting at the pair of you. While you were scrambling to find some excuse as to why you were in this situation, Steve threw his arm over the back of the couch, a smirk still painted on his face.
“We’re just having a cuddle and watching a movie, isn’t that right doll.” You nodded eagerly in response, letting out a sigh of relief as Thor’s eyes brightened once more, seemingly content with his answer.
“Well, then the Spider boy showed me this new trick he learned and I-“ But his words went in one ear and out the other as Steve readjusted below you, forcing his thick cock even deeper inside you and it took all of your willpower not to moan.
He hissed through his teeth as you clamped down on him. Your fingers curled into your palm in some desperate attempt to keep yourself from moving or moaning or even breathing wrong but evidently, it wasn’t enough.
Before you could stop it, a whine escaped your lips, immediately silencing your godly boyfriend and making the man beneath you inhale sharply. The game was up.
The blanket easily slid away from your laps, exposing exactly what was happening to your shared boyfriend. Your soft legs were spread apart by Steve’s thick thighs, keeping you open enough for his cock to be comfortably nestled in your dripping cunt to keep him warm. Already, his blue jeans were stained almost black from your wetness and a ring of creamy white gathered at the base of his cock.
Neither of you moved, the gravity of the situation now making itself apparent as Thor’s expression darkened and his own jeans grew considerably tighter as his cock came to life.
“I will give you both one chance to explain yourselves before I start to think of ways to punish you for playing without my permission.” Steve’s cock throbbed inside of you and you shot him a glare.
“Masochist.” You hissed under your breath but evidently, both men heard you.
Thor’s eyes locked onto you. “How about you start princess- tell me the truth.”
But before you could answer, Steve had decided that he wanted to play even more. “She’s just warming me up so that I could fuck you when you got home. I mean, that is what she’s here for.” You curled into yourself, not because you were hurt by what he said but because you knew what was coming next.
Moving too quick to comprehend, you were suddenly suspended in the air and then tucked into the chest of your god. And with barely any time to wince at the emptiness you now felt, Thor’s fly was open and his own cock prodded at your entrance.
“Yes you did have a warm-up, but not for you.” You cried out as he sank you down onto him, easily taking him to the hilt even with his massive size considering how Steve had already stretched you enough to take him. “She’s going to get the fucking of a lifetime while you just watch. And then-“
Steve swallowed thickly, his hand now inching towards his own aching length. “Then, I’ll be warmed up enough to take you.”

Hela's Kitchen - Just Us Chapter 24
Warnings: None
Word Count: 3507
Series List | Chapter 23 | Chapter 25
================================
So it's now Saturday, yes it's been a week since girls night. For the most part my week has been made up of going to Wanda's or her coming to mine after work, as both our work schedules were a lot lighter than the week before. It's been nice to be able to have meals every night with someone, sharing the bed with them and then waking up to kisses all over my face. Which, I now realise, is something Wanda loves to do and it makes me smile every time I open my eyes to her gorgeous, shiny green eyes and that toothy grin.
I feel like I'm ready for the next step, crazy. I know we have known each other for just over 2 weeks but...I don't know. There is just something about her that pulls me in, she has been worming her way into my life since day one and even though we are still getting to know one another I want to give this thing a chance. Like a real chance. I just hope Wanda feels the same.
"Dorogoy, you okay over there? I can practically see the steam leaving your ears at how hard you're thinking?" Wanda brings her hand to rest on top of mine as we both drink our coffee and eat our pastries. We decided to come back to Second Asgard, as it's a beautiful day out and we wanted to explore New York a little together. I'm thinking of taking us to Brooklyn Bridge and then maybe the park next to it, for a beautiful evening. I am going to take her to a nice restaurant where the prices are a little steep but not ridiculous. I think I'm ready to be more than what we are at the moment, but I am going to wait for her to make that move. I don't want to rush her or make her uncomfortable, I am completely willing to go at her speed. Her pace.
"Sorry, just lost in thought about what else we could do today. What would you say if I drove us to Brooklyn and we did some sightseeing and enjoyed an evening stroll in the park?"
"I would say let's go!" I laugh out as she finished off her coffee, quickly wrapping her pastry in a napkin so she can eat it in the car on the way there.
"You go get in the car, I will pay for this and before you argue you paid last time." I give her a pointed look and she shrugs her shoulders as she stands from her chair.
"Wasn't going to argue anyway." She cheekily replies before kissing my cheek and making her way to the car.
"She looks happy." I turn my head to see the blonde man smiling up at me. "You're good for her y/n, as she is good for you. But don't hurt her."
"I won't Thor, not on purpose. But I've I do hurt her I will pass you the gun."
"That's what I like to hear. Now don't keep a lady waiting." I smile at him as I give him cash for the food. As he is handing me change his brother walks in.
"My brother is right darling. I haven't seen her this happy in a very long time, the same goes for you. While we have you alone I just want to apologise for my actions all those years ago. I should have never blamed you, it wasn't your fault in any way shape or form. I just had so much anger in me when I heard the news and to see you laying in that hospital bed alive. I should have never said what I said." I swallow the lump in my throat. I don't think I've ever heard Loki apologise and definitely not this sincerely.
"Did Thor tell you off after last week?" I let out a small laugh, as does Loki
"Maybe. But I mean it, my words are unforgivable."
"Thank you Loki. It means a lot to hear you say it and as for forgiveness you are forgiven because even though your words killed me I've come to terms with what you said and know they were wrong. As for our friendship you're going to have to earn that back, but I'm really looking forward to having you in my life again."
"Can I hug you?" Loki asks timidly. I give him a soft smile and silently make my way over to him wrapping my arms around his shoulders bringing his body closer to mine. His arms wrap around my torso and I feel him grip onto the back of my shirt like his life depends on it. I feel his shoulders shudder slightly and I know that he is crying.
"You're okay. I'm okay. We are going to be okay." He nods against my shoulder, as I feel the tears start to soak through my shirt. "We are going to be okay. You hear me? I can't lose you again."
"You won't. I promise I will do better." He takes his head off my shoulder as he looks up at me, me standing just a few inches taller. I lean my forehead against him, it's something we have done since we first met. It just lets the other person know we are with them and that it's going to be okay.
"I know. Now as Thor said I can't keep the lady waiting. She is probably watching this through the window think 'what the fuck is going on'." Loki moves to look around me.
"Oh yeah, I'm getting the death glare." We all laugh out loud as I turn to see Wanda's face soften when she sees mine, I know that I've got a few tears running down my face. I wipe them away as I smile back at her.
"I will see you boys next week."
"Starting your weekly tradition of coffee and a muffin again." I nod and give Loki a goodbye kiss on the cheek and Thor wraps me into a crushing hug.
I escape from Thors grasp and make my way out of the café. I shake my body off as I walk out the door trying to stop the small tremors that have started in my hand from the many emotions I'm feeling. I take a deep breath in before slowly releasing , making my way to the car where Wanda has made her way out of and is standing on the sidewalk next to the car. She opens up her arms and I practically fall into a hug with her, my arms wrapping around her waist as I squeeze her tightly. I bend my body slightly so she can rest her chin on my shoulder and stand back up. She squeals as her legs sway in the air, now no longer on the floor.
"Y/n! Put me down." She squeals as I spin her around once and gently place her back down on the ground. Wanda removes herself from the embrace, her hands moving to cup my cheeks as she looks up at me, the sun lighting up her face perfectly. "You okay dorogoy? You had quite the moment with Loki back there."
I quirk my eyebrow at the jealousy I hear in her voice. "It's not what you think it may be Wanda. He is more like an uncle to me than anything else, and he apologised for something he did in the past. So yes I am okay. Actually never better. So Brooklyn?"
"Brooklyn!" Wanda repeats excitedly as she pulls my face down to kiss me, taking her time giving my bottom lip attention before playfully biting it. We jump back from one another when we hear a loud knocking next to us, looking to see Loki behind the glass window of the café with an unimpressed look.
"Stop eating your girlfriends face in the middle of the sidewalk it's disgusting how happy you look." His muffled voice vibrates through the glass as he fake gags at the sight of us, but neither of us pointing out that we aren't girlfriends. When I realise Wanda didn't say anything, I look to her to see her looking at me with something I can't quite decipher and I nearly ask her out right then and there. But I have a plan, and I can't spoil it with my blabbermouth. I have to wait for her.
"Right, let's go."
I open the passenger door for Wanda, making sure she is comfortable and buckled in before I make my way to my side. As I turn the keys starting the ignition checking my mirrors so I can pull away safely, I see Wanda place her hand on the dashboard of the car as I rev it. She loves this car, and I love that she loves this car.
We are sitting in the car enjoying one of the many radio stations, as we drive with the windows down our hair dancing in the wind. I have one hand on the steering wheel, the other resting on the frames of the door moving it up and down in the wind. I see Wanda shuffle to face me more as she rests her elbow on her door resting her face in her open palm.
"'Can I ask you something?" Her voice breaks the comfortable silence we had going.
"Anything."
"What did Loki apologise for? I mean I've never seen that man cry and whatever he was saying made him emotional enough to cry." Wanda asks cautiously, not sure what my reaction may be. I take a minute to think about my answer but ultimately decide to tell her, it's about time I open about this time of my life.
"A few years ago, someone he was close with. Not in that way, but in a family member but not by blood way. Well they were killed in an incident that I was also involved in. They ended up dying while I survived, not that I was in good condition, but when I woke up in hospital the first thing Loki did was blame me. We had so many fights and I officially kicked him out of my life. Long story short he came crawling back with apology after apology and I think only recently have I been able to forgive him and accept his apology."
We sat in silence for a few minutes as Wanda took in this information, I allowed her to take it in. It's a lot, and even though that's not even close to the whole story, hopefully it's enough for her to understand enough for her to know that I am willing to open up and tell her everything but it's going to take time.
"How do you feel now?" I furrow my brows as I take a quick glance at Wanda before returning my eyes to the road.
"What do you mean?"
"Well it sounds like you went through something really traumatic and then got blamed for that trauma. But now you have forgiven the man that placed the blame, I'm assuming all is not forgotten and he is going to have to earn is family title back, but how does it make you feel knowing you want him back in your life?"
"Sometimes I forget you're 11 years older than me and then you come out with these wise words and the right questions. You know what to say when to say it and when to push and when not to push. It's impressive how you do it."
"Thank you, but answer the question." She knows to push and when not too and now is a time I definitely need a push.
"I feel lighter. Like I can let go of the hatred I had against myself because for the longest time I believed his words to be true, but I don't. Not anymore and I think that's how I am able to forgive him." I move my hand from the window to the steering wheel so I can grab onto Wanda's hand, bringing to my lips to kiss her knuckles. "Thank you for pushing."
"Thank you for trusting me with it."
"Well I trust you Wanda."
"I trust you too y/n."
"I do have one question though."
"Shoot."
"Do you want me to meet your boys at all?" I hear Wanda hum in thought.
"I would like you too. I mean they come back to mine tomorrow and we are planning a friends and family cook out for next Friday. It would be really nice if you could come, just to meet them but I don't want to force you to do anything you're not ready for."
"I would really like to meet your boys, just give me the time I should show up, if I need to bring anything and I will be there." I lean over to kiss her on the cheek as we come to a stop at a red light. "We are nearly here by the way."
Wanda turns to look at her open window, her eyes searching her surroundings, taking in the bridge and park in the distance. I have booked a meal first, before we go for our walk and just spend time with each other.
"Where are we heading the bridge is the other way?"
"Well I thought I would treat you to a beautiful meal first."
"Y/n." Wanda groans slightly, I know she hates the idea of me spending money on her.
"Wanda." I match her tone. "I know you don't like people spending money on you or for you, but I like to so you have no choice in the matter. If you really dislike the idea of me paying for all the food and drinks, don't, because there is no reason for you to. This is my treat."
"I. I. Thank you." She breathes out slightly defeated.
"If you really hate the idea of me paying for the whole thing I have no issue of you putting money towards it, I mean we can go Dutch if you really want to. I just thought I would treat you." I shrug, I get why she dislikes the idea of someone spending money on her.
"No, wait, no I mean thank you. This is really sweet. I like that you're treating me, I'm just going to have to get used to someone spending money on me again because since me and vision divorced I've always spent my own money on myself and the boys. Even before that vision didn't treat me much."
"Well, unfortunately for you, you're going to have to get used to it because I like the idea of treating you. Spoiling you. Spending my money on you."
"I like that idea but I want to spoil you as well."
"I'm not going to say no to being spoiled to something once in a while. My favourite ice cream is caramel, my favourite drink is anything caramel flavoured. My favourite café is New Asgard and my favourite place to be is either on the beach or on the hills. Oh and I love sunset or sunrise."
"Good to know. I will start planning my own little treats for you."
"I can't wait, princess. Whatever you do I will enjoy and cherish it."
"So where are we going?"
"Have you ever heard of Hela's kitchen?" I ask turning into the parking lot for the 5 star restaurant.
"Yeah, Thor and Loki mention it every now and again. It's their older sister's restaurant right?"
"It is."
"I have another question."
"Go for it."
"Do you know everyone in New York?" I laugh out as I climb out the car making my way to Wanda's door holding it open for her as I give her my hand to hoist her out.
"No I don't. I just know people who know people. I mean I didn't know your friends or those three men who were at the club. But I get what you are saying. It is a little creepy that we both know the same people yet have never met each other"
"Right! It's crazy to think we could have seen each other in passing but only now are we really seeing each other."
"Well I see you Wanda."
"I see you too Y/n." Wanda takes a hold of my hand as we calmly walk to the front of the line. "I'm assuming because you know the owner you can just sort of skip the hour wait?"
"You assume correctly." I nod to the waiter who has worked here since I started coming, so he hands me two menus as I walk past and go to my regular chair which has a reserved sign on it.
I pull out Wanda's chair for her as she takes her red leather jacket off, and I grab it, placing it on the back of her chair as she gets comfortable. I tuck her chair in for her, passing her one of the menus and make my way to my chair. I already know what I'm going to get and what drink I would like, but I have enough patience to wait for Wanda's decision.
"Is there anything you would suggest?" Wanda peaks up over her menu seeing mine laying on the table discarded.
"I am going to have the sirloin steak, medium rare as they cook it perfectly here. I get chunky chips and peas as well. It's just what I need."
"Well that sounds delicious so I will have what you are having, and for a drink I will just have a cheap glass of red." I smile and nod at Wanda as I see Hela appear from her office making her way over.
"Y/n! Honey, it's been a minute."
"Well it took you long enough to make an appearance I was going to call a waiter over." I laugh out loud.
"How fucking rude of you! I will let you know I wasn't aware you were coming here tonight."
"Well you better train your staff better." I jest. Hela juts her chin at my words, but I know she knows I mean no harm. "Anway Hela this is Wanda, Wanda Hela. Wanda is a friend of Thor and Loki's and Hela is their sister."
"It is lovely to finally meet you, Hela. I have heard a lot about you from your brothers."
"All good things I hope?" Hela holds out her hand which Wanda takes as they shake hands introducing themselves to one another.
"Of course."
"Wanda that name rings a bell. Your the Sokovian with two twin boys right?" Wanda nods her head letting out a small yeah. "So are you two together yet?"
Me and Wanda both go wide eyed and stare between one another and then back at the Hela. Hela raises her eyebrows at us as we both recover from the question.
"I take that as a no?" Me and Wanda both nod our head at her question. "Well that's a shame, you guys make a cute couple."
"We've only known each other for like two weeks." I say more to myself than Hela because I feel like I'm ready for the next step but don't want to rush Wanda.
"Well you're stupid for not already asking Wanda out. She deserves better from you." Hela hits the back of my head earning a scowl from me and a laugh from Wanda. "Oh and Wanda your stupid too for not locking it down sooner." That shuts Wanda up.
"As y/n said we have only known each other for 2 weeks, and a day technically."
"Well you are both stupid because there is no timeline on these things." She mutters another stupid under her breath before smiling at us. "Anyway Y/n are you having your normal."
"Of course."
"And for you Wanda?"
"I will be having the same." Wanda places her menu on mine, handing it over to Hela.
"So two sirloin steaks, medium rare, with our cheapest red?" Hela double checks our order.
"Yes please Hela."
"No problem, someone will be back with your drinks and I will bring your food over when it's ready." With that Hela turns on her heels heading towards the bar to put our order in the system.
"She is very to the point." Wanda voices her observations.
"She is, but it's one of the good things about her. She says it as it is."
"So what are we doing after our meal? Any more surprises?" Wanda sucks in her cheeks slightly poking her tongue into her left one as she stares at me, a small smirk grows on her face as she sees my eyes drop to her actions. Well holy shit, now that was hot! She has to know what she is doing.
"No nothing but the walk in the park to have an explore and look at the bridge."
"Perfect. I can't wait."

Tour Of Asgard // Loki Laufeyson Headcanon
Tumblr media
masterlist | oneshots
you were the first girl Loki was bringing home. he never brought anyone back to Asgard and unlike Thor, it wasn’t an abrupt and sudden coming
you were excited and nervous. you had no idea what to expect considering you were going to another planet and dating their prince
you already met Thor since you worked with him and that’s how you and Loki met. he was aboard the first time he came to Earth when he fought in the Battle of New York
you sat in front of the clear circular dome he was in and talked about anything. you were sent to analyze who Loki was and why he acted the way he was. Instead of finding a monster, you found a man in pain wanting to prove himself to his father while trying to figure out who he was supposed to be
you walked through the portal and Heimdall stood in all his glory. like a gentleman, Loki introduced you and even had two white horses awaiting your arrival to travel the rainbow bridge to the castle
along the way you looked both left and right almost getting whiplash from trying to take in all of Asgard’s beauty
you couldn’t believe what you were seeing and told yourself it was all a dream
“Over there, is where I shifted into a frog to scare Thor,” Loki looked over at you. “My love, are you listening to me?” He asked.
“Huh? Sorry, no I was taking in all the beauty of this place. I can’t believe I am even here. It feels like a fantasy, or more like a drawn-up movie or a tale to tell the kids at night.” You said still in awe.
“Well darling, believe it. You’re dating a prince. Here it is called courting because I am a royal. We are courting to become Asgard's future prince and princess. Even though we haven’t spoken of marriage, others will see it that way.” He said leaning over to kiss my hand.
“Princess. Princess of Asgard. I like that title. As long as you’re my future they can talk about marriage all they want.” You said looking at him lovingly.
he got the bags in his room before leading you to a private balcony for lunch. he knew the journey was long for a Midgardian, so he set up an impromptu date overlooking the waterfall
Asgard has some of the best food you’ve ever tasted and mainly because it was all fresh, but you would need to smuggle some of your favorite snacks and treats because they have no chocolate. no chocolate was your deal breaker
after the meal, Loki walked you around the entire palace and described each and every story he shared with Thor and their friends. the kind of battles and fighting, real and not, and places he would escape to
speaking of escapes, he showed you all three of his hiding places. one in the palace, one in the mountains, and one in the town. he treated it as no matter where he was, he could run to his hiding place every time
“I came here a lot when no one noticed. Especially in my younger years when I didn’t feel understood, which was quite often. I was bringing a blanket and snacks with me to keep me occupied. Although I wasn’t the best at hiding from my mother. She knew where I was at all times, being that she is a witch herself.” Loki smiled softly with sadness behind his eyes.
“Would she sit and stay with you?” You asked and held his hand.
“She would. She’d stay with me until I felt comfortable coming back. My father, Odin, was not a father to me as you know. But he would show his affection in a way that others would see as equal to Thor and me, but cruel and hurtful in reality. But mother,” He chuckled, looking down at his hands. “Mother was my best friend.” Loki looked at you.
“She would be so proud of you, that I know. I’ve only met her a few times when she came to visit, but I do know the kind of special bond the two of you have.” You sat up leaning over to press your hand softly to his cheek. “It is an honor to be shown the places you were and are most vulnerable and places you shared memories with her. Thank you.”
you spent the night in one of his hiding places with him just talking about anything and everything

Loki was eating breakfast the next morning while thinking about the day before. He had declared his love for Sigyn and spent several happy minutes with her firmly in his arms. She also admitted her love for him and made him the happiest man in the Nine. He resigned himself to giving up his current apartment. He formally apologized to Thor, paid him back the gold he owed him, and admitted a secret tryst. He finished the day with an emotionally charged conversation with Sigyn’s parents.
Last night’s dinner had been somewhat awkward. While relishing Sigyn's caresses and adoring looks, he could not help but notice Lady Anderson staring at him and barely touching her food. He needed to get to the bottom of her claims and put both of their minds at ease. And the sooner, the better.
He was less than two weeks from becoming a married man. He already had Sigyn’s ring purchased, but he still needed to decide which apartment they would move into, pick out furniture, and be fitted for his wedding clothes, not to mention the surprise that Thor was planning for his stag party. ‘Oh well,’ he thought, ‘one thing at a time.’
He finished his breakfast and went to his desk. He quickly wrote three messages and called for his chambermaid, “Margit?”
“Yes, Your Highness?”
“Could you please see that these messages get where they need to go?” he asked as he passed her the parchment envelopes.
“Certainly,” she accepted them and stuffed them in her apron, “I can deliver them after I take care of these breakfast dishes.”
“Thank you.” Loki turned his attention to an unfinished budget that he had been working on the night before when there was a knock at the door.
“The Prince?” Margit asked as she made her way across the room.
“He never bothers with knocking.” Loki watched as she made her way to the door.
She opened the door only partially, gasped, and then sunk into a very deep curtesy before opening the door wide. Loki stood and quickly strode to where his father, the King, stood in the doorway. Loki bowed.
“Good morning, son. May I come in?”
“Of course, please.” Loki motioned for him to enter. “Margit, please bring tea to the sitting room.”
“Margit?” Odin asked, sounding shocked. “Margit, by the stars! It has been millennia! Lovely to see you again.” He took her hand and kissed the back of it. Margit blushed and gave the King another curtsey.
“I heard you retired.” He placed his hand on her arm and rubbed it with his thumb.
“Oh, I got so bored sitting around the house. I returned to work in the kitchens part-time until the Queen asked me to come and work for the Prince.”
“Wonderful. The palace is lucky to have you back. I trust my son is treating you well?”
“Yes, Your Majesty. He is a very kind young man.”
“Good, good. How’s the family? You married Kristoffer, right? The guard?”
“Yes, he is well. He retired but volunteers at the elder home, delivering meals to the residents and engaging them in conversation. Whew, does he come home with some stories,” she laughed.
Odin regarded her tenderly, “He is a good man. I am glad you two found each other.”
“Yes...” she looked down at her hands clasped tightly, “I have had a happy life.”
“That is all I ever wanted for you.” Odin looked like he would reach for her again but clasped his hands behind his back instead.
Loki cleared his throat to remind the pair that he was, in fact, still in the room, “You two know each other?” he asked.
“Margit was my chambermaid when I was a young prince. My apartment was just down the hall from this one.” He motioned with his hand, not taking his eyes from Margit.
“I see.” Loki realized that they had been intimate but kept his face neutral.
Margit blushed, “My, that was so long ago.” She put her hand to her cheek, “Let me get you that tea, Your Majesty.” Odin nodded and watched her as she curtsied and walked away.
“Please, have a seat.” Loki motioned to the sitting room. Odin sat in Loki’s favorite leather chair, and he took a seat on the sofa. Loki used his seiðr to bring the fire back to life. Odin tapped his fingers on the arms of the chair and looked about the apartment.
Loki waited patiently for Odin to speak. When he didn’t, he asked, “Is this about the budget? I was finishing that up when you arrived.”
“No, son. I wanted to talk to you about your upcoming life event,” Odin gave Loki a tight smile.
Loki’s heart rate picked up a bit. Aside from polite small talk, his father rarely spoke to him about anything besides work. Margit returned with a tray of small cookies, a teapot, and two cups.
She poured the tea and asked, “Is there anything else, My Prince?”
“No, thank you, Margit.”
“Very well. I will see to your messages.” She curtsied, “Your Majesty, Your Highness.”
“It was lovely to see you again. Give your family my best.”
Margit gave the king one last look before nodding and slipping back to the dining room to gather the breakfast dishes. Odin occupied himself with his tea and a cookie until he heard the front door close behind the chambermaid.
He brushed the crumbs from his beard before he spoke. “The wedding is fast approaching.”
“Yes, Father.”
“And you are prepared for… all that marriage entails.” Odin looked very uncomfortable.
“I am.”
“Heirs?”
“Let me stop you right there. I know how babies are made, Father. I have been practicing for centuries.”
Odin chuckled, “Yes, I am aware. What I meant is that you are expected to produce heirs. My concern is… I hope you will take the time to enjoy your children when they are young. Do not make work a priority as I did. My only regret in my very long life is that I did not spend as much time as I would have liked with you and your brother while you were little.” Odin set his tea on the table. “The years passed so quickly. One minute you were a babe in my arms; the next, you were a young man with ambitions of your own.”
“You are the King. Your duty to the realm came first. I understand that.”
“And as the King, I could have delegated part of my duties while the two of you were small. It was just not done in those days. But times are changing; a man is not only measured by his work but also by the family he leaves behind.”
Loki nodded, “I promised Sigyn that I would prioritize our future children.”
“Then I do not doubt you will be a far better father than I was.”
“Are you not my father still?”
Odin was taken aback, “Well, yes...”
“Would you be agreeable to spending more time together in the present so I might get your advice on more than just work?”
Odin considered that momentarily, “If that is what you would like, I would enjoy that.”
“You and Mother have had a long and happy marriage despite…” Loki waved his hand toward the door Margit exited.
Odin leaned back in the chair and squinted his eye at him, “So you picked up on that, did you? Always so clever.”
“Well, you were about as subtle as a sledgehammer. Even Thor could have pieced that one together.”
Odin laughed, “That was thousands of years ago, before I was betrothed to your mother. I was younger than you are now. I was a young prince, falling in love with every maiden who crossed my path, getting my heart broken, then falling in love with someone else the next day.”
“It is hard to believe you were such a romantic.”
“That was before I knew what true love was.”
“When you met Mother?”
“I had affection for your mother, but it took some time to fall in love.” Loki gave his father a puzzled look. “I met your mother for the first time on our wedding day. We were not permitted to court each other in those days. Our parents arranged everything. I was fortunate that Frigga was so warm and caring. It was easy to fall in love with her eventually.”
“That is what you were hoping for with me? That Sigyn would capture my heart eventually?”
Odin nodded, “Your mother assured me this was an auspicious match.
“I must admit, though, your marriage to Sigyn was, first and foremost, a political move on my part to strengthen our family’s ties with the North. We depend on their resources here in the capital and throughout Asgard. If I somehow fell out of favor with them, the whole realm would be crippled, making a political coup a genuine possibility. With you as the Warden and Thor as King, everyone in Asgard will remain healthy and strong. The viability of those resources is crucial in keeping our citizens fed.”
“That is a lot of responsibility.”
“I could think of no one I would rather take Lord Anderson’s place.”
Loki sat back on the sofa. His father’s words hit him like an tidal wave.
“I am a King with only one kingdom but two sons. I do not have a second kingdom to offer you, my son, but I am giving you the second-best thing that I can. As Warden of the Northern Territory, you will oversee those lands. All the Northern Lords will answer to you; you will only answer to the King.”
Loki nodded, letting the weight of his words sink in, “Thank you, Father.”
“In the meantime, you get Sigyn. Not a bad trade-off, wouldn’t you agree.”
Loki’s heart did a little flip, “Sigyn is...” his smile widened, “the most,” he shook his head. “Ah, Father, I do not even have the words.”
Odin laughed earnestly, “I know, my son. I know.”
“She loves me, Father. She told me this, and I saw it in her eyes. There was no lie in her words. That beautiful spirit of a woman…” Loki shook his head again, “I do not know what I did to earn that love, but I will do everything in my power to make her happy.”
“I have not seen you this happy since you were gifted your first pony.”
“Sigyn makes me a thousand times happier than that, and we have yet to even…” Loki stopped himself from finishing his sentence.
Odin laughed heartily, “Saving it for the wedding night? There is nothing wrong with that.”
Loki’s cheeks flushed, and he looked at his hands in his lap, “Mother made me promise, but Sigyn is becoming…frustrated.”
“You will learn this lesson soon enough, but my first piece of marital advice: Your bride’s happiness must take priority over your mother’s.” He gave Loki a wink with his one good eye, “Maybe there is a compromise you could come to with Sigyn without breaking your promise to your mother?”
“You are a very wise King, indeed.” Loki grinned.
“The happiness of my subjects is my top priority.” They shared a laugh before Odin asked, “Is there anything else you would like to talk about?”
“As a matter of fact, there is. While I have your ear.” The King nodded for him to continue. “Have you given any thought to whom Thor will marry?”
Odin shook his head, “No, there have been no offers I would consider beneficial. Why do you ask?”
“I was talking with him when my betrothal was announced. He wants to get married and start a family. At first, I pitied him for being so idealistic, but now, after picturing my future with Sigyn, I want him to be as happy as I am.” Loki leaned forward in his seat. “I would ask that you consider letting Thor choose his own wife. Pending the Crown’s approval, of course.”
“Is Thor courting someone at the moment?”
“I am not at liberty to say, Father.”
“I will take that as a yes.” Odin steepled his fingers in front of his lips. “I will have to think about it. We are currently at peace. I did secure our family’s future with your marriage. I would have to broker something with the girl’s family if she is suitable. Hmm… I will talk it over with Frigga. This is not a yes, but it is a maybe.”
“That is all I am asking. Thank you, Father.”
Odin nodded, took another cookie, and asked, “Did you choose a man to stand up for you at the wedding?”
“I asked Thor.”
Odin gave him a proud smile. “Good choice.”
“I do not know what he is planning for the stag party, but I would be honored if you could make an appearance.”
“Ha! I have not been to a stag party in ages. I will get the details from your brother; if it is not too risqué, I would love to come.”
“Risqué? This is Thor we are talking about.”
“True.” Odin tapped his fingers on the arm of the chair again, “I must go hold court.” He stood; Loki followed. “You will have that budget on my desk before the next council meeting?”
“Yes, sir.”
“If you need anything…” Odin clasped his hands together in front of himself and shifted his weight from foot to foot.
Loki nodded, “Yes, thank you. Here, let me walk you out.” He motioned to the front door.
“Son, about Margit. No one needs to know about…” he waved his hand in the air, “ancient history.”
“No. No, of course not. You have my word.”
“I am not ashamed, mind you. But I do cherish your mother; I have remained faithful to her all these years. There is no need to cause her undo distress.”
“No. I understand.” Loki gave him a reassuring smile.
“My door is always open.” Odin clapped a hand on Loki’s shoulder as he opened the front door for his father. Odin’s guards bowed as he exited to the hallway.
“Thank you for this. I appreciate the visit.”
“I should have done it sooner.” Odin hesitated in the hall. He went to speak again but stopped himself. He nodded to Loki, then took his leave, four guards following close behind.
‘Love you too, Father.’ Loki thought as watched him turn the corner.

3, 14, and 17 for the ask!
3. Is your practice more ritualistic or casual? What does it look like?
It's uh...ritualistically casual? Casually ritualistic? I haven't gotten to really practice with anyone (other than doing tarot readings for people - both for friendship, barter, and for pay - I'm really trying to get a career of this off the ground, as I've been reading casually and professionally for 30+ years now, and I do consider tarot/rune/oracle/psychometry readings and dream interpretations as much worship/practice as anything else) - oh and that one guided meditation circle I went to back several months ago - in hell. 20 years maybe? Or just nearly. So most of my practice is pretty casual with some ritual elements - I keep an altar, I burn candles and incense nightly when I go to bed (I'd burn incense more often but too much of it really bugs my sister, and her room is next to mine right now - hopefully when we can finally move east, we'll find a place where our rooms are more opposite ends of the house we rent), I put out offerings of liquor and sometimes food. More often the food offerings go to the outside altars, which right now, I only have a very small shrine to Elegua (ALL Tricksters are honored by me, so every culture's Tricksters are welcome to hang out). I include my gods in my day to day existence, even if that means I'm wandering around the grocery store - "What should we make for supper? What sweet treats should we get for dessert? Would you look at that asshole taking up the whole aisle?"
But I haven't 'drawn' a ritual circle in forever, I haven't called the elements, the directions, I haven't set up ritual space for each holiday, though to be fair, even when I did that with my ex and our friends, we were generally still pretty casual. Ritual robes started to be really unwieldy and definitely dangerous when lighting candles and almost knocking over the wine. Often our ritual regalia was less about clothing and more about painting our faces for the holidays with images and symbols important to each of us at that time. I'd like to get back into doing more (casually) formal rituals once we move and depending on which of my friends in the area we're moving to (or close enough to it) are able to meet up for them. I think I'd still have almost a Dude mentality of ritual, and from hanging out with my gods (predominantly the Nordic pantheon mixed with, again, all the Tricksters and quite a few of the Celtic deities), they always feel really cool with not getting super fancy about it.
14. How would you define your Gods? (have fun with that one)
Hah! Hahahahaha! Define my gods? Me? Oh no. No no no. I live with them, I invite them into the space where I live (I don't consider it home - home will be when we leave Texas, get to the ocean, and can breathe again), I share meals with them, and I learn about the layers upon layers of their history and personality from them, but I don't think I could ever define them. I think they're beyond definition.
17. Do you associate certain Gods with specific songs? Share them!
I have a few. I mean, anything and everything by Wardruna resonates with all the Nordic gods.
But some specifics off the top of my head:
Riders on the Storm by The Doors - Thor and Loki It's known that Thor is the god of storms and thunder, but Loki is the god of lightning, as that was his father (Farbuti, "dangerous striker" aka lightning) striking against Laufey (whose name some scholars believe means "full of leaves"), thus creating Loki - who is a god of fire and lightning (as well as mischief, chaos, change, storytelling, misfits).
youtube
Songs from the Wood by Jethro Tull - Loki
youtube
Velvet Green by Jethro Tull - Loki but also Freya and Freyr
youtube
Locomotive Breath by Jethro Tull - Odin
youtube
As you can tell, Jethro Tull is one of my favorite bands. My late brother (druidic in his own beliefs and practices) introduced me to them in full in my teens when he helped to steer me toward the Celtic and especially the Nordic gods, so I have a very reverent feel toward this band, my gods, and my brother (he was the one to introduce me to tarot and runes as well).
Those are songs off the top of my head. I'd like to spend more time with music and the gods - see which music I might already like that Anansi or Old Man Coyote would pick out for their own. Which ones Eris might choose. Which ones Frigga or Sif or Sigyn might like best.
Oh oh wait. Sigyn. Goddess of Victory, Goddess who "holds the bowl" so that Loki might survive in less pain and come out to fight for their children.
We Will Rock You - We Are the Champions by Queen - that is definitely Sigyn
youtube
I will say that it seems like they're always (all of them) pretty happy when I play my favorite bands - The Doors, Jethro Tull, Queen, ABBA, Loreena McKennitt, and I imagine they've got favorites out of all of those and the variety of SCA filk-type bands that I listen to.
Polytheistic Asks here!

[loki's cell on asgard]
Thor: I miss you :(
Loki: I would miss me too, I'm the best.
Loki: But seriously, what do you need help with this time?
#in my head thor visited loki constantly in prison bc he 'needed' help with things#canon can get shot out back i've decided thor visits loki 4 times a day is equally sad each time and asks loki what soup he should drink#thor: there is a feast tonight#loki: ah yes how bad i feel on missing out on such dull observances#thor: should i wear the red or grey#loki: red obviously.#thor just sitting by loki's cell and talking to him about what he's done to restore peace in the realms today#loki obviously takes it as a pointed ''look at the mess you made that i have to fix'' but it's not really that and he enjoys the stories#they can both share meal times if thor times it right#maybe loki starts being less cynical towards thor as he tries to explain himself bc at the beginning when he'd show he wouldnt talk#maybe he starts asking questions and then they talk things out?#like. they never talked about loki being adopted or jotun or how thor may or may not know if he wants to be king anymore#maybe they joke about odin being so close to dying that he wouldn't notice if loki disguised them as each other for a while?#jokingly plan out odin's murder together#sibling stuff#loki telling thor he didn't think he would make a good king before but he's changed? and that he knows he'll fit the position well?#thor talking about how 'restoring peace in the nine realms' has had him see glimpses of things that could mean he's not doing the good?#loki who already knows about the imperialism trying to break the news to thor slowly by giving him hints to work it out himself#thor telling loki he knows he's worthy? maybe not in Father's eyes or to pick up mjolnir but he is?#eventually Loki admitting why he let go on the bifrost? about how he hated everything for a time? about his year in space?#thor saying that it's easier to see loki in this cell devolving into a mess over the months than thinking him dead? because he's here?#thor suggesting to break loki out after malekith after knowing his brother isn't guilty for everything? deciding that he's suffered enough?#and the others don't know he's been visiting loki#maybe heimdall but that's why he lets the plan slide - because he's caught patches of their conversations#thor being defensive of loki getting him out? knowing he only just found out about frigga's death? and them actually sharing their grief?#jane slaps him and loki's like i like her but thor being accusatory when he says 'Jane' after? like. jane. that was unnecessary.#thor pulling the ''he may have waged war on your realm but he is a prince of asgard and he is my brother'' excuse from avengers 1#loki who has told thor he doesn't retain his titles and was basically disowned not even knowing how to react#loki not knowing how to react because jane is meant to get priority here even if he'd been the one to convince thor to visit her again#JANE having to watch Thor and Loki getting along bc Loki's annoying commentary has Thor in a good mood????

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
To think you'd let such a stranger barge into your apartment- actually, you would never imagine such a comeup. But here are we.
Right in front of you there is a man. Raven locks, black shirt, white baggy pants - is that a purple... gut, intestine thing around his chest? - and a pair of imacculate ballet shoes on his feet. The dude is knocked out cold, it seems that he barely made it through your window, only to come head first against your floor tiles. Now you have drops of blood all over the floor and counter- and, a bleeding man.
You can't tell which task will be more grueling to solve.
Because you have a working brain, of course the man comes first. No matter if your window is broken, and a handfull of glass shards adorn your countertops. And now you've accidentally stepped upon one- just then you realise the man's back must be feeling like a bed of thors- or shards, over being dragged through the floor.
So you throw his arms - which you notice, has a few cuts here and there - over your shoulders, and picks him up in a one-person carry; barely, his torso is against yours and legs are dangling on the floor, this guy must weigh the double you do. It feels like you're carrying a fridge.
From your peripheral, you can see Satoru paddle to the kitchen's doorframe, probably wondering if you were preparing a meal for him or whatever.
"I'll be back in a moment, Ru." He meows a reply, dragging his mountain of fluff back to your couch- you're certain he's taking your spot, while it's still warm.
Thankfully, it doesn't take long for you to reach the bathroom, dropping the man leisurely upon your fluffy mat. Beside all the cuts, the man has already a plentiful share of permanent scars, and none are of your business, you don't care. It's like cleaning and stitching up a old doll full of tears, by the way you're able to maneuver his limbs; you're glad he's still unconscious.
But the thing around his shoulders is not.
In a blink of eye, it jumps from his shoulder to yours, attaching itself to your back and nestling upon your shoulder. When you glance down at it, it feels like a weird looking parrot.
"Hi?" You ask, it looks back at you. "Are you like, his pet or something?" It doesn't talk, just gazes at you through half lidded eyes; so you give up on short talking it, not knowing what you expected yourself. "Let's go finish my movie then!"
You join Satoru on the couch, the cat rapidly making room on your comfortable lap; and the man forgotten, snoring soundly on your bathroom.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
A sequel and half movie later, you hear a loud thud coming from the kitchen. Even though you're aware there's a strange in your house- the sudden sound still naturaly jolts you out of your seat.
"UGH- Goddamn it-" Next comes a colorful list of slurs; a sigh makes way out of your mouth.
You round the corner, pointing a accusing finger to the strange man, who's laying on your floor again. "No cussing on my house."
"Why didn't you even clean this floor, it's loaded with glass shards."
"I wanted to finish my movie afternoon before doing so. Besides, what made you smash through there," You point to the ruined window. "to here." Then, to the kitchen floor. And finally, motioning to your whole apartment.
That was a interesting question, he expected a "Who are you?" or "I'm calling the cops!" call.
"I don't need to explain you shit."
"Think of it as an retribution, since I patched you up, answer my question."
"No."
"That, or you'll pay for my window."
A sigh. "Fine. I was being chased."
"You're a criminal, then?" You questioned.
"Yes." A devilish grin made its way to his face, showing canines and stretching the small scar on the corner of his mouth.
"Alright, just don't get me involved then."
Toji is familiar to that sort of outcome. Sometimes people man up, people weaker than him. But he knows he's intimidating, and he absolutely loves to play with the attitude of those who challenge him.
Forgetting the shart carving on the sole of his feet, he walks up to you efortlessly, towering over your frame.
"Well, are you not scared to have a criminal inside your house?"
"No, I'm not defenseless. And, you're bleeding. Again."
"Shit." Toji sits down close to the wall where it's safe, twisting his leg to bring the injured foot up to his face. He easily plucks the reddened shart between thick digits, and throws it far away from him.
Meanwhile, you bring your first-aid kit up to him, setting it down near.
"Here, use this."
"..."
"I'll do it for you then." You wasted no time, reaching for the line and thread. Once everything was stitched, you wrap a bandage around his foot, then pats it finished. "What's your name?"
"Fushiguro Toji."
"I'm L/N Y/N, lost all your bite huh?" You tease.
Casually ignored. "Why do you have a first-aid kit? Most people don't have it on their houses."
"I practice muay thai, it's useful both for me and you."
"Right. Have you seen my worm?"
"Well, make yourself at home, until your feet gets better. And yeah, your worm jumped at me like those surprise music boxes, and now it's on the couch with my cat. It's been watching movies with us."
He was beyond curious, because the worm didn't have a thinking mind nor knew what even meant to watch something. Toji limped to the doorframe, eyes widening once he spotted the worm wrapped snuggly around your very fluffy cat.
"That's some cute shit."
"The worm is gross."
"I think it looks cute."
"You're batshit crazy."
You stretched your limbs. "Whatever, let's waste some more time watching TV."
Toji sat down - mind you, taking a handful of space you were not content with - once you picked up "both" animals to make room. He thinks you're weird, seeing the fact you didn't question what the hell was that giant-purple-moving worm, and for letting in a random guy inside your house. You do fight a martial art, though, but most people wouldn't have such confidence on him - a dude build like a truck.
There's some survival show playing in the background, yet he's beyond bored watching it, so he settles in questioning your questionable manners.
"How are you so chill about everything?"
"Oh well," You seemed focused on the show, surprisement showing itself once you turn to him. "I see these things in a daily basis, so it's really no big deal after a while."
"Curses?"
"Yep."
"You-"
"I'm going to clean the kitchen. Also, I ask you once the skies darken, to leave my house."
"..."
"Is there a problem?"
"I got no hideout out there."
"Suuure you don't." You sighed. "Alright, the couch is your best option; if I hear rumbles at night, or if you steal me or something, I'll be the one chasing you."
"Right, have fun cleaning the blood stained kitchen."
"The audacity." You left with a smirk, shaking your head.
Although you're weird, so far, you're also the most interesting individual Toji has come up to par with; something in this house prickles at his skin to stay. Plus, the fluffy cat laying on his lap is very cute aswell.

Word count. 3.7K
You were awakened with a light knock on the other side of Loki’s chamber door. You kept your eyes closed not wanting to have to face any conflict fresh out of sleep. Remaining in your same position you heard Thor’s voice informing Loki to feel free to make his way to the dining hall. You kept still, wanting to hear the entire conversation without any disruptions or derailings of what was meant to be said.
“Who's the young lady between your legs, brother?”
“One I’m thinking of marrying. The only issue is her parents' blessing, something she’s yet to ask. The right time’s on the horizon, but not quite within reach.”
“Have you spoken to father about it?”
“I have the feeling that waiting until the last moment will work best for me. A bit of chaos if you will.”
Thor chuckled
“You never change, brother.”
“Why alter something that needs not fixing?”
“That bridge is yours to cross and I will be there for you when it happens. Regardless, food will be waiting for you and your lady when you're ready to come out.”
Loki nodded his head in acknowledgment and Thor left the room. With the door closing, you stretched and turned around to face Loki.
“So, you plan on making me your wife?”
“You were awake?!”
“I had stirred awake when your brother knocked on the door. I wasn’t faking it the whole time. Although I’ll admit, it’s nice to know you’re in this fully.”
You stood up and moved to sit in Loki’s lap, wrapping your arms around his neck.
“Well, since you eavesdropped in on the conversation, are you up to eat?”
You answered, hesitantly,
“Yes...if you’re in it fully and an offer of marriage is in the near future, the least I can do to convey my undying fidelity is to be shared with you in public. I’m ready for it all.”
Standing up, you stepped to the side to let Loki up and lead the way. Once out of his quarters you walked beside him through the corridors of the palace he called home. Arriving in the dining hall to your surprise and relief everyone had already left. The two of you to be left alone. Life felt unusually at ease, anxiety was free from your bones and you had a gut feeling that at least while you were here everything would play out in your favor. It was more than comforting and for once in quite some time you were finally able to eat. A little more than you expected honestly. You hadn’t realized how much you had been depriving yourself of necessary nutrients because eating was the last thing on your mind. Everything had been cluttered for the past year.
It wasn’t until recently that your appetite began to fizzle out. You knew you’d eventually be okay but one meal a day would eventually catch up to you. And right now it was showing.
“Hungry?”
Suddenly aware of your surroundings and Loki’s raised eyebrow you were faced with how much you had actually gone through while being stuck in your head.
“I’m sorry, I didn’t look like a pig did I?”
You shrunk, your shoulders making a poor attempt at hiding your embarrassed face.
“No, Y/N, you did not. Simply wondering how you put it all away.”
You paused wondering whether or not you should expose yourself. Relationships were all about transparency, right?
“I haven’t been eating all that much lately. The mental has affected the physical especially within my own home and I finally felt comfortable within these walls and I completely forgot my manners. My apologies.”
“I never said to stop. Indulge till your heart and well, stomach’s content Y/N. This will be your home, thus you may behave however you see fit. There’s no need for change.”
Looking at Loki through your brow you saw that he meant what he said. The expression on his face silently communicating sincerity to you. Your embarrassment faded and was replaced with affirmation.
Finishing in the hall you and Loki walked back into his quarters. Night had fallen over the sky completely and the hallways of the palace looked more familiar to you now. Entering his room you walked past the bed and went straight for the balcony. You looked up towards the sky, looking for the answer to all your questions to be written in the stars. You failed to hear the footsteps behind you and only became aware of Loki’s presence when his arms wrapped around your waist, his head resting on your shoulders.
“You know, the stars aren’t going to give you the answers with any more ease. Believe me, I’ve tried. You just have to do what you don’t want to.”
“I know I just...I just wish it would be easier. I wish we had the freedoms of the cosmos, being able to travel through the entire mass of space without thought of what's to come next.”
You turned around, resting your back against the railing. You looked down and fiddled with your fingers for a moment before you looked up at Loki. The moonlight was bright and full, casting a white shadow across his features. You were unsure of what to do with your hands so you just placed them by your sides and admired Loki for a little while longer. A small smile subconsciously formed on your face and it wasn't until Loki reached for your hands did the haze in your eyes fade.
“If only you knew the chaos I’d bring upon worlds. If only you knew the hells I’d race through, the agony I’d suffer with if it meant you by my side...it would seem that freedom is already had, my darling.”
“Loki, I-
“-No matter the circumstance, you will be by my side. Whatever the battle is you must face with your parents, I swear to you, you will not bear the burden alone. If you were to, then what would I be here for?”
Your hand squeezed around his own and before you got a chance to respond to him, Loki’s hand slipped from your own and tilted your chin up. Staring into your eyes before capturing you into a searing kiss. It felt warm, comfortable, and fueled by fiery passion all at once. You removed your hand from his and wrapped your arms around his neck, weaving your fingers into his hair. Loki’s hands traveled to your waist but didn’t stay long before they traveled further down and firmly grasped your ass in his hand. The action causing an airy moan to slip from you and tug on his hair tighter eliciting a similar response from him. He slipped away from your lips, smirk all too telling of what was to come next
“Coming alive now that the moon is out? You’re like my own personal bloodsucker.”
You playfully hit his shoulder
“Loki..”
“What it’s true darling. You really do, come...alive at night. It’s not a problem though, I quite enjoy seeing you shed the layers you wear while the sun shines.”
Emphasizing his point he squeezed your ass again and tapped under signaling to you to jump. Wrapping your legs around his slender waist, he turned you around and walked back into his bedroom.
“Now that you are in your element, I take it it's time for that prize you spoke of so arrogantly earlier.”
Your eyes widened realizing what you had just signed yourself up for. Loki placed you gently down on his bed and crawled over to face you directly.
“Unfortunately...for you at least, your choice in waiting will leave you in desperate need of a pillow to keep you from waking anyone important up.”
“You’re so snarky, what if I desire to control this evening, hmm?”
“It will be a dream short-lived my love. You and I both know you have a debilitating tendency to fall weak under my touch. It’s irresistible to you.”
Tangling your leg underneath Loki’s, you flipped yourself over so that you were now on top of him. Desperate in having at least one moment to relish in dominance over him. Situating yourself you ground yourself into his now growing arousal. Planting your hands on his chest you brought yourself forward, leaning down into his ear and rolling your hips into his once more causing him to hiss through his teeth. Licking a stripe up from his neck to his ear you ended your trail with a light nibble on his lobe. In your last-ditch effort of a display of power, you whispered in his ear,
“Don’t be dense, you and I both know you enjoy it with much fervor being like this.”
And just like that, your moment of fame was something of the past. Before you could even register that your moment was gone, Loki was already on top of you, and the dress that once adorned your soft skin was being torn down the middle, exposing your body to him.
“Loki!-”
“-My love, there was no room left for teasing. We already established that did we not? Now, to remind you of your place, I’m going to make sure you never forget it or this night we’re sharing.”
Loki snaked down your body, his hands resting on your hips bones while he nudged your sex with his nose. Squirming your way into a submissive role, you rolled your hips down in need of any type of friction.
“Y/N, unlike some people in the room, I fully intend on giving you what you yearn for. You just have to find the willpower of patience within you. Remember I don’t like teasing.”
“But you do like to lie, which you just did right th-”
Your sentence was cut short cuz Loki had licked a tender stripe between your folds. Sending passion electric through your body. Your head lulled back into the bed fully engaged in Loki’s ministrations to your most sensitive of areas. Losing yourself in the moment you failed to notice Loki’s hands traveling up your sides and resting on your pert nipples. Rolling them between his fingers, your fingers clutched the sheets beneath you, needing something to brace yourself on.
“Shit~ Loki, you're so good! Oh my god, don’t stop, I’m so close!”
Lifting his head up slightly you felt the change in atmosphere waiting for his smart remark to leave his lips.
“You said that with a lowercase g right?”
A little extra air left your nose signaling your light amusement to his statement. Only to follow it with a roll of your eyes still amazed by Loki’s narcissism even in such an intimate moment. The lightness in the air didn’t last long for Loki continued his attack on your cunt without warning. Smirking against your folds, he spoke
“Don’t roll your eyes at me. Unless you’re seeking punishment this evening.”
“Fuck Loki!”
His tongue was something otherworldly, finding all your sweet spots and using it to his advantage. He rolled your nipple once more and this time added a lithe finger inside your dripping heat curling it just right to become acquainted with the cute little spongy spot within you. Your hands found refuge in his black locks, rolling your hips into his face feeling your release begin to peak over the precipice.
“Loki, please don’t stop! I’m so close, I’m gonna cum. Please, Please Loki let me cum.”
A reinvigorated fire was now fueling Loki to help you reach your bliss and with a swift back and forth motion on your now swollen clit your orgasm washed over you in a way you hadn’t felt before. Your back arched and your thighs clamped around Loki’s head being completely overwhelmed with your climax. As your orgasm subsided you brought yourself to your elbows getting ready to return the favor to your lover. But he had other plans.
Grabbing your hips, Loki slid you down the bed closer to him and placed his mouth on your sensitive mound once more.
“Holy shit! Loki, stop, I'm so sensitive.”
Looking up at your through hooded lids, he cocked one eyebrow and questioned
“Do you really want me to stop?”
“I-uhh”
Flattening his tongue against your sex your response was lost in thin air replaced with a cry of pleasure. Loki entered another finger into your fluttering cunt and was determined on bringing you to a second rapture which was not difficult considering the aftershocks of your first one were still running through you. You felt the heat pool in your lower stomach and you began to feel the pressure build somewhere lower. For a split second, you became worried about what was going to happen next and you attempted to push Loki away from you not wanting to lose control, but his other arm kept you in place.
“Loki, please I can’t handle it. Please!”
You weren’t quite sure what it was you were begging for. It definitely wasn’t for him to stop because you were so close but rather to save the embarrassment of what was to come. Unable to ward off your orgasm any longer, Loki’s finger made one final motion and your second orgasm was even stronger than the first. Ruining your vision and making your eyes roll to the back of your head.
“Darling...remind me from now on to never let you writhe out of my ministries.”
Trying to calm down your heavy breathing you looked down at Loki only to be met with the sight of beads of your orgasm trail down his face and your juices glistening on his chin. The sheets beneath you beginning to turn a little cold.
“Loki, oh my-”
Climbing up over your body, he hovered over your face. Somehow while lost in your own euphoria Loki’s shirt was discarded somewhere in the room and you were all but distracted by his toned physique.
“Don’t even think about an apology. Seeing you lose yourself in me like that was more than satisfying and this was just an extra luxury that you allowed me to enjoy.”
He emphasized his point by rubbing his fingers through your weeping pussy causing your body to jerk due to the sensitivity and Loki just smiled at you. Moaning you trailed your hand down to the pronounced tent in Loki’s pants.
“I can’t wait any longer Loki. I need you inside of me. Please.”
Your voice faded into a whimper becoming insatiable with Loki above you. Fidgeting with the button on his pants, it didn’t take you long to have them unfastened, and slipped your hand into his pants, palming his length. Loki dropped his head into the crook of your neck, a low growl escaping his throat. Helping Loki push the fabric down the rest of his legs he positioned himself in between your hips lining himself up with your entrance. Looking up at you, you noticed there was a certain softness swimming in his eyes.
“Y/N, you are so beautiful. Truly you are the most entrancing woman I’ve ever laid eyes on and I’m more than favored to be able to call you mine.”
“Loki, I~oh fuck”
The recurring theme of your sentences being lost in translation continued when Loki prodded his tip at your entrance causing you to suck in a breath of sheer pleasure.
“Don’t tease me, please. Just fill me up Loki, I feel so empty without you.”
A moan and an airy chuckle left Loki’s lips before he fully sheathed himself within your tight core.
“Darling, no matter how many times I have marred your womb you still remain tight as ever. Gods you feel divine.”
Moving at a slow yet devastating pace Loki’s cock was kissing your cervix and sweet spot with every single thrust. Your core clenching around him created a resistance that was licentious and overwhelming for the both of you. Loki pulled himself almost all the way out and then slammed back into your sopping cunt causing a loud high pitched moan to flee from your chords.
“Shit! Loki, do that again.”
Loki repeated the action and your back arched from the bed and your nails dug into his back racking down the length of it. This new pace and pattern of movement were moving you quickly to your third release of the evening.
“You like that Y/N. Like how my cock can make you feel like no one else can. I’m going to make sure that your insides become so familiar with my shape that nothing else will be able to satisfy you.”
Picking up his pace slightly, Loki was still slamming deep inside you. Your eyes were no longer able to stay open while lost in all the pleasure that was tingling your entire body. Quickly though that thought would be eradicated from your mind as Loki’s hand came up to your face squishing your cheeks together forcing your lips to pout.
“Look at me while I fuck you Y/N. I want to watch you fall apart underneath me. I want you to watch as I fill you with my seed, claiming you as mine forever.”
You and Loki had never let him finish inside of you and the idea of him filling you with his seed and becoming swollen with his kid had you squeezing around him tighter than you ever had. Your moans picked up in frequency and you moved your hand up to his neck bringing his face down to your so that you could share a kiss while the both of you were approaching your highs. Loki’s hand snaked down to your core and began lightly rubbing on your clit. The last bit of stimulation fully brings you to the peak of your approaching high.
“Loki, fuck. I’m going to cum. Please don’t stop. Please please please!”
Loki brought his forehead down to rest on yours. A sticky layer of sweat was evident on both your faces. His thrusts became more erratic signaling he hadn’t much time left in him before his high.
“I love you, Y/N. More than you could fathom. And I~ahh”
This affirmation took you by surprise. You and Loki had a strong partnership and you knew that you loved each other mutually but you both had never said it out loud before. Not only did this warm your heart but it also pushed you over your threshold and your climax. Washing over you for the third time that evening. Your fluttering core cutting off Loki’s admirations for you and also sending him over his escarpment.
“I love you too Loki, so much. I~ah fuck you feel so good still.”
Keeping your foreheads still pressed together, you stayed like that until your breathing mellowed out. Waiting for the right moment to speak again. Pulling out of you Loki watched as his seed was spilling out of you due to the aftershocks of your orgasm.
“Now look at that. This is something I could get used to seeing. But more importantly, I want to ensure that your womb takes all of me.”
Taking his nimble fingers, Loki was gently pushing back his cum inside of your cunt. You were so sensitive that each time his fingers grazed your now wrecked hole, your body reacted with a quick shake and the tightening of your stomach. Your eyes kept halfway rolling into the back of your head, the overstimulation turning into something of immense ecstasy.
“Come up here Loki.”
Sliding his way up towards the head of the bed where you were, you nestled into his chest. His skin still tacky with sweat, your bodies melding together like human puzzle pieces. Your hand was drawing mindlessly on his chest and eventually found its way to his face where you were thumbing his cheek.
“Did you mean it?”
“Mean what- of course, I did. Y/N you know that lying to you is something I find absurd. And of the few things, I refuse to lie about, intimacy is one of them. Do not fill yourself with unnecessary doubt.”
Turning his face to yours you shared another kiss with him. Tender and full of passion you were silently telling him that you understood and that the feelings were reciprocated. Pulling away from you he sat up.
“Perhaps we should run ourselves a bath. Clean ourselves up before we grow too tired to think about anything else.”
Sighing you pushed yourself up to sit upright on the bed. Lightly nodding Loki stood from the bed and was waiting for you before moving any further. You looked up at him with pleading eyes
“Carry me?”
With a roll of his eyes and a click of his tongue he begrudgingly picked you up bridal style and walked you to the bathroom of his quarters.
“You are incongruous.”
“Perhaps I am, but for us, it works.”
Setting you down on the edge of the tub Loki began drawing the bath. Steam rising up from the heat of the water. You knew it would sting on the way in but the initial burn would morph into relaxation and ease your now tense muscles. Reaching for the soap on the corner of the bath closest to you, you walked over shakily to the spout of water so that bubbles would form before the two of you got in.
Once the water hit an appropriate height Loki helped you in, already aware of the weakness in your legs. Settling in behind you he began washing you down with one of the many washrags in the bathroom.
“You know, we’re going to have to get this out in the open a lot sooner than we were planning. Especially if you are to have my child.”
“I know. I was thinking about that. Give my silence. Let us wait till morning to run through our thoughts about how to go about this. I want to enjoy this moment with you without the worry of what’s to come next.”
“Understood my love.”
With Loki having the last word, the two of you shared amorous silence while relaxing in the tub. Enjoying each other’s company, the silence between the two of you was necessary to think about what was going to happen next in the chaos of your life. Finishing up in the bath, you two dried off and headed off to bed. Wrapped in each other’s arms, you drifted off to sleep rather quickly. Your body exhausted from the night's affairs. Not knowing that this would be the last night you recognized what peace could ever look like.

‘Can you breathe any louder?’ Loki asked you irritatingly. Like your punishment couldn’t get any worse, you had to share a cell with the God of Mischief and Lies. The only upside was his mother, making sure he had plenty of books, a comfy chair, and a table. She even got him a bed, even tough it was one bed. Even her influence was limited, but you were more than grateful for these extra’s in your shared cell. Of course, Loki wouldn’t let you sleep in the bed. No, you should be happy he was not making you sleep on the floor. He gave you the chair to sleep in instead, bastard.
‘What was that, dear?’ you asked innocently. You knew how annoyed he would get when you called him by a nickname. Loki certainly was a dominant man, and nicknames was not something he accepted. You smirked when he didn’t answer you, he just grumbled at the name you gave him. You grabbed one of his books and began to read it. You were halfway the first chapter when you hear an annoying voice say ‘Who told you that you could grab my things?’
‘Come on, I’m bored out of my mind. It’s not like you need all these books at the same time’ you argued back. Loki, who was sitting on the floor against the wall, got up and strut towards you. He slapped the book out of your hands. The book went flying against the wall, the barrier burned it a bit. It made a hard sound when it hit the floor. ‘Those are MINE’ he growled. He didn’t move from his position, trying to dominate you with his stance. You were still sitting on the floor on the opposite side from where he sat. You weren’t having this. You looked him straight in his eyes ‘The fact that I’m stuck in here is also YOURS’ you said back.
Loki gave you a mean glare but returned to his original position, sitting across the ground on the other side of the cell. You had to admit, it wasn’t entirely his fault that the two of you were stuck in this cell. You had to steal the Tesseract from Odin’s fault, and it took a long time planning the heist too. Everything was in place, until he had to ruin it, of course. You knew he was planning on taking the Tesseract himself, some people close to him told you. But the idiot hadn’t taking into account the new alarm system. So, when he set it off the guards were gathering around you. They saw you holding the Tesseract and Loki standing right behind you. Your explanation to the Allfather didn’t matter, what you did was wrong and both of you needed to be punished.
You could handle the imprisonment, it wasn’t the first time you were. But imprisonment with him was. And you knew he hated it as much as you. You were convinced the only reason Odin put you in a cell together, was to add a sting to Loki’s sentence. You looked around the prison, your cell was the only on with furniture and books, thanks to Frigga. How the other prisoners coped, you did not know. You turned your attention back to Loki. He licked the tip of his index finger and turned a page. You got up and sat in the chair, also known as your bed.
‘Loki, I’m bored’ you whined to him. ‘That is not my problem, tell someone who cares’ he replied. ‘You are the only one here’ you sighed. ‘How lucky are you’ he said sarcastically. ‘What, if you weren’t there I wouldn’t be caught. Unlike you, I had an escape plan´ you argued. Loki just smirked ‘What was your escape plan on Jotunheim?’ he asked. The remark gave you flashbacks to the time you tried to steal the source of powers from the Frost Giants. But Loki interrupted you suddenly, because he was there with Thor and the Warrior Three on a different quest. You hadn’t had an escape plan and spend the next six months in this prison. After that you ran into him in a sleezy bar far away from Asgard, right before he tried to take over Midgard. You should have known he faked his death. Even tough you hated him, you had to admit he didn’t look like himself. He looked awful.
When you heard the Tesseract was on Midgard, you went yourself. When you saw him on Midgard he looked even more terrible. His hair was a mess, he had dark circles under his eyes and was walking with a limp. Something that was weir, considering he healed fast. But you didn’t care, you had a mission the finish. If you didn’t you would pay for it with your life. It was annoying that Loki himself wanted the same thing you were after. You felt Loki trying to invade your mind. ‘Stop it’ you yelled. Hoping that he would, because you didn’t know how to stop this kind of attack. Loki just smirked and returned to his book.
Your favourite guard brought the two of you your lunch. ‘Thank you, Baldar’ you said when he opened a small part of the barrier and slide two meals inside. ‘My pleasure’ Balder replied politely. You saw Loki role his eyes at the interaction, but he didn’t say anything, You grabbed your tray and began to eat the meal, it tasted terrible. ‘How is it?’ Loki asked. ‘What do you think?’’ you replied. Loki got up, grabbed his tray, and tasted it You smiled when you saw his face scrunch. ‘I may have found something more terrible than you’ he said while scrunching his face.
The rest of the midday, you two didn’t speak to each other. You grabbed another book and luckily Loki didn’t smash it from you. The lights were going off and you realised was night-time. You had enough of the chair you were sleeping in and decided to lay down on the bed. ‘What do you think you’re doing?’ Loki asked, when he saw you laying down in his bed. ‘I’m going to sleep you answered while pulling the blankets closer to your chest. Loki must have been tired because he didn’t argue with you. He just sighed and walked towards the bed.
He laid beside you. Just before you drifted to sleep, he grabbed your throat. ‘What game are you playing?’ he asked. You tried to not be intimidated ‘Look, I needed the Tesseract, I wasn’t planning to use it for my own. But even if I do get out now, I’m in trouble’ you finally snapped. You had no interest in telling him your problems, but knew that lying to him was pointless. Loki didn’t say anything for a long time. He let go of your throat and laid back down facing you. ‘What if I’m in that predicament too?’ he asked you. You didn’t know how to respond to that. Loki could never know that you encountered Thanos and that he expected you to deliver the Tesseract. He didn’t have to know what you went trough, it was too painful to think about. You didn’t know what situation Loki got himself into, but you couldn’t let him best you anymore. Thanos’ patience had run out and you were in serious trouble. ‘Trust me, it’s not the same’ you replied. You closed your eyes and turned around.
It was the middle of the night when you woke from a loud explosion. ‘What is happening?’ you asked. You looked around your cell and saw another cell with its barrier breached. A prisoner was freeing some of the other inmates from different cells. This was your chance! Before you moved you felt one of Loki’s arms retracting from your sides. ‘Well, good luck to you, daring’ he purred. Was he just cuddling you? You decided not to dwell on it. You grumbled at him, you hated when he called you by a nickname, and you knew he knew that. The prison was now absolute in chaos. Guards were running around, and more and more barriers were breached. It didn’t take long before the barrier of your cell was broken. Loki and you exchanged a look before running in the opposite way from each other.
The chaos was your moment of opportunity. You ran towards the vault, there were only two guards guarding the door. You took them both out quickly and entered the vault. You ran to the end of the hall. There you saw it, the emulating light blue cube that you needed to escape whatever death Thanos had in store for you. You picked up the Tesseract when you heard a voice behind you ‘I wouldn’t do that if I were you’.
‘You have no idea what you’re talking about. Just leave me alone’ you said.
‘If you bring him that he is just going to send you to get another stone. If you fail him you die, if you don’t and he succeeds that chance of you dying is about 50 percent’ Loki told you.
You just stared at Loki with wide eyes. ‘How do you know that?’ you asked. He took a few steps towards you, standing very close before you. ‘I’ve been doing everything in my power to stop Thanos, you on the other hand have not been making that task easy’ he growled.
‘How do you know about him?’ you yelled.
‘There was a time he thought I was working for him. I know more about him than you might think’ he answered.
‘Then you know I have no choice, I’ll be dead if I don’t do this’
‘I didn’t do it and I’m still alive’ he quipped back.
‘Unlike you I don’t have magic to help me’ you took a step back and turned around. Ready to teleport with the Tesseract out of the vault. Loki grabbed your wrist and spun you back around. ‘You have me’ he said.
‘What?’ you asked absolutely stunned. ‘There’s always a choice, darling. You have three options. One, you give him the stone and probably die serving him the rest of your life. Two, you hide on your own, but he surely finds you and you die anyway. And don’t for a second think it would be quick and painless. We both know Thanos doesn’t do that.’ Tears were starting to form in your eyes, thinking back to all the torture you had been put trough. You noticed the look in Loki’s eyes, you saw something vulnerable in them. ‘What is the third one?’ you asked. ‘You come with me, I’ll keep you safe. And we think of a plan to stop him’ he gave you a genuine smile.
‘You hate me, why would you do that?’ you asked.
‘Just because we’re enemies doesn’t mean I hate you. We both did what needed to be done to survive. But, you have 10 seconds to decide before an army of guards burst through those doors’
For a few seconds you looked at him and thought over your options. Did you really have a choice? you thought. ‘Fine, I’ll go with you’ you said before your time was up. Loki engulfed you in a hug and a green shimmer formed around you. You started to feel dizzy and closed your eyes, leaning on Loki. You heard him chuckle. ‘As much as I enjoy this, you can open your eyes and let go now’ he said. You did as he said and found yourself standing in the middle of a cottage. ‘Where are we?’ you asked. ‘My safehouse somewhere in the woods on Midgard. You can relax, Thanos won’t find you here. I put up shields, nobody knows we’re here’ he answered.
You moved around the cottage. It was slightly bigger than the cell you just escaped from. There was a fire burning in the hearth, with in front of it a very comfy looking couch. There was a big bookcase with a desk and a comfortable lounge chair. The kitchen was small, but all the essentials were there. There was one door which led to the bathroom, with only a shower, sink, and a toilet. When you closed the door and stood in the main room you noticed that there was one large bed. You glared at Loki ‘I’m not sleeping in a chair again’ you said. Loki laughed ‘The bed is big enough for two, I think you’ll be fine’
‘One thing, I need you to hand me the Tesseract. My shiels may hide us, but they can still sense it is here’
You doubted giving him the cube. He saw the doubt in your eyes. ‘I made a promise to keep you safe, all you need to do is trust me’ he added.
‘Would you trust you?’ you asked.
‘Probably not, but I need you to’ he said back.
You took a deep breath and gave him the Tesseract. What choice did you have anyway? A green shimmer started to shine over the cube, and it slowly disappeared in his hands. He gave you a reassuring smile. Despite the fire burning you felt a little cold. ‘I’m going back to bed’ you said. Loki nodded, followed you and laid down next to you. Even tough the bed had room for four people in it, Loki laid close enough for you to feel his warmth. The orange light of the fire was dancing over his face, and you noticed that Loki was quite an attractive man. The only thing you wanted to do that moment was cuddle closer, lay on his chest and fall asleep while he was holding you close to him. You were wondering what sparked these feelings. You never thought about him that way. But then again, this was the first time you felt safe in a very long time. He made you feel safe.
‘See something you like?’ Loki smirked. That was when you realized that you were staring a bit too long at him. You felt yourself starting to blush. You wanted to turn around, but Loki put a hand on your shoulder to stop you. He moved closer to you and you froze, not knowing how to react. He didn’t stop until his lips almost touched yours. He looked in your eyes intently, waiting for you to make a move. You shut your eyes and closed the distance between the two of you. His lips started to move softly against yours. The way his lips felt on yours, you needed more, more of him. You put a hand on his neck and deepened the kiss. Loki eagerly returned your affection by sliding his tongue in your mouth. His hand trailed from your shoulder to your lower back. He pulled you closer to him. You put a hand under his t-shirt, starting to explore his chest and abbs. Loki started to kiss down your neck and you felt him smile against your skin.
He stopped to crawl on top of you and removed his shirt. You couldn’t keep his hands off him. He ducked back down to kiss you. He starting to kiss you deeper and faster. Your hands started to stroke his back and you opened your legs to pull him closer. He moaned into your mouth. It spurred you on to undo the button of his pants. ‘Eager, aren’t you?’ Loki smirked at you. You stayed silence and pulled his pants from his bottom. He helped you by taking them off completely. You tried to pull him down to kiss you, but he grabbed your hands and put them down beside your head. ‘Now, I don’t think this is quite fair’ he said. ‘Well, I always was a few steps ahead of you’ you smirked. Loki let out a low growl. He found the clasp of your dress and unlocked it, immediately pulling the fabric from your body. You laid beneath him, in your lingerie. ‘If I knew you were this underneath your clothes, I would have done this much sooner’ he whispered to you.
He started to kiss you, while his hands were roaming your body. You did the same and couldn’t help but land your hands on his butt. You give him a light squeeze, making Loki moan hard. You really liked this side of him. He undid your bra and hooked his fingers on the side of your thong. ‘Wait’ you said. Loki immediately froze and looked at you questionably. ‘What’s wrong?’ he asked. You felt a little bad, seeing the worry in his eyes. ‘Nothing, I just want you to undress first’ you smirked at him. Luckily, your comment put the twinkle back in his eyes. ‘Have you earned that?’ he challenged you. ‘I’ve bested you in most situations, so yeah, I’ve earned it’ you grinned widely at him. He just chuckled ‘I will let you think that, but you still haven’t earned it, darling’ he said. He pulled your thong down and you were now completely naked underneath him.
‘You look absolutely beautiful’ he sighed while kissing your stomach, trailing downwards. You thought he was going for your clit, but instead he just resumes kissing you. His lips went to your hips and your upper thigh, down towards your knees. He trailed back upwards, but still was avoiding the place you needed him the most. ‘Loki’ you panted. ‘Hmm, say that again’ he hummed. His lips trailed further upwards until he reached your neck. ‘Loki, please’ you panted again. You felt him hum again, and he sunk his teeth in your neck. You hissed from the sudden action, he didn’t bite down hard, it was enough for you to feel alive but not hard enough to actually pierce your skin. ‘If you want something, all you got to do is ask’ he purred. ‘You really think you got the upper hand here, do you?’ you asked. Loki didn’t have to answer you, his face said it all. He did.
That’s when you bucked your hips and rolled against his. You felt his erection clearly through his fabric. Your wetness left a small stain on his boxers, only adding friction to your movement. Loki let out a silent moan. He replicates the movement and didn’t stop. The fabric of his boxers between the two of you felt thicker each time he slid it against your core. Loki let out a hard growl ‘Fuck it’ he said. You were a bit shocked, you never heard Loki curse before, he always kept his composure. He leaned back a bit and undid himself of his boxer. He laid back down on top of you, putting more weight on you than before. ‘Normally I would play with you for hours, but right now I need you’ he whispered in your ear. Without any hesitation you opened your legs more and felt Loki enter you. He certainly was bigger than you first anticipated. He filled you up like you never had before. You felt every movement he made, every vein on his cock and it felt like Valhalla itself. Loki, who was thrusting slowly in and almost out of you, picked up the pace. The length of his erection reached all the way to your G-spot. The way he hit that sensitive spot inside of you made squeeze around his cock. He started to moan, grunt and curse under his breath.
He didn’t slow down. The way he fucked you could only be described as animalistic. Like he was denied his release for so long, he couldn’t hold back anymore. You put your hands in his hair and pulled him down for a kiss. He started to kiss you like he was fucking you. Leaving fast and open mouth kisses on your mouth, your cheek, and your neck. His put a leg over his shoulder and you felt his fingertips grab you hips tighter. You knew for sure his kisses and hands would leave you bruised the next morning. But you didn’t mind that people could see you were his, you knew he was doing this for that reason on purpose. ‘I’m close’ Loki panted. He put one of his fingers on your clit, drawing circles on it with much pressure. The only thing you could do was moan his name. You moaned it over and over again. Loki grabbed your chin and kissed you. He broke the kiss to let out a loud grunt. Your orgasm hit you hard and you felt his seed spill inside of you.
Loki pumped in and out of you a few more times, before he collapsed on his back beside you.
‘That was amazing’
he panted. You were out of breath and the only thing you did was hum in agreement. After Loki had cleaned himself up, you went into the bathroom to do the same. When you walked back to the bed you saw Loki almost drifting to sleep. He looked innocent and pure in that moment. You crawled into the bed and he immediately grabbed you and pulled you close to him.
‘I’m never letting you go’
he whispered to you.
‘You better not’
you quipped back. He nuzzled his face further in the crook of your neck. His arms tightened around you. For the first time you felt safe, peaceful, and relaxed. The problems the two of you were facing would come tomorrow, but right now, everything was perfect.

Why do I need to feed the gods?
Tumblr media
One of the biggest adjustments for new pagans, especially those coming from a Christian background, is the concept of physical offerings. For a lot of people, it seems strange to give a physical gift like food to a non-physical being. For others, the concept of food offerings seems primitive or backwards. For these reasons, I think it’s important to address why pagans make offerings before you go any further on your pagan journey.
Let’s get one thing out of the way: food offerings are not primitive or backwards. Pagans know that the gods don’t literally eat the food we offer them. Offerings are a way to deepen your individual connection with a god or spirit — it’s not so much about what you give, but the act of giving that is meaningful.
Think of it like sharing a meal with a good friend. Throughout history, eating together has been an important part of the way humans form and maintain social relationships. Even today, our weddings, baby showers, birthday parties, and even funerals usually contain a shared meal. Food offerings allow us to share this kind of bonding with the gods and spirits that are important to us.
This is not a practice that is unique to paganism. Many people, from many different belief systems, offer food to spirits on various occasions. Food is used as an offering to kami in Shinto, and to various deities and spirits in Buddhism. Hinduism even has a special name for food offered to deities — prasada. In Día de los Muertos, a Mexican Catholic festival honoring the dead, food offerings are set out to entice the beloved dead to return and visit their living relatives.
Even the Christian practice of communion can be viewed as a type of food offering. When a Christian priest consecrates the bread and wine, he or she symbolically offers them to Jesus. The Christian belief that Jesus inhabits the offering and is then taken in by the parishioners who eat it has direct parallels in pagan worship.
Likewise, when pagans offer food to their gods, the gods symbolically and spiritually receive it. One common belief among pagans is that the gods consume the spiritual essence of the offering. They are “fed” or given power not only by this essence, but by the religious ceremony surrounding the offering.
Protocol for food offerings varies from one pagan group to the next. In some systems, such as Kemetic paganism, the worshiper offers the food to the god(s), allows them time to consume its essence, and then eats the food as a way to ritually share a meal. In other systems, like Heathenry/Norse paganism, the worshiper takes the first bite or sip of the food, then gives the rest to the god(s) — again, this allows the worshiper to bond over a shared meal with their deity. Some systems, like Religio Romana, give the gods an equal portion of the food being shared by worshipers. Still others consider it extremely bad form, or even taboo, to eat something that has been offered to the gods — in these cases, the worshiper does not partake of the offering at all.
When planning an offering to a deity, it’s important to know what the guidelines for food offerings are in your chosen religious system, as well as the historical protocol for offerings to that deity. An offering to Athena will look very different from an offering to Thor.
Some deities or pantheons also have taboos against offerings of certain foods. Some gods cannot be offered meat, while others require meat as part of a sacrifice. Some gods do not receive alcohol well, while others prefer it. It’s important to do your research ahead of time to avoid offending your gods — or their other worshipers. (When we talk about specific pagan paths, we’ll talk about the protocol for offerings in those systems.)
Food is a common choice for offerings partially because of the social implications of sharing food and partially because it’s convenient. However, it isn’t the only option for an offering, and I personally think it’s a good idea to switch things up now and then.
Non-food offerings may include physical gifts that are related to a god and their domain, such as offering a bouquet of fresh flowers to Persephone. They can also include devotional acts such as donating to a charity that shares your god’s values, growing plants that are sacred to them, or writing a devotional poem or song. I find that devotional acts are especially meaningful for me, as they typically require more time, effort, and thought than physical offerings.
Some pagan groups, especially those with Celtic influences, hold the belief that something being offered to the gods must be destroyed so that it can never again be used by humans. For example, in ancient times a sword or spear being offered to an Irish deity would be twisted out of shape before being given to the god(s). For modern pagans, this might mean burning the only copy of a poem you wrote. The concept is the same — once something belongs to the gods, it is no longer meant for human eyes or hands.
Offerings are an important part of pagan worship because they emphasize the importance of reciprocity. Pagan worship is about building relationships, and relationships require effort, thought, and care from both parties. The process of choosing the right offering and planning a ritual around it can be incredibly powerful and can help you feel closer to the gods.

——————————
The delicious aroma of chicken and rice wafted through the Brooks-Ramsey household. The couple worked side by side in the kitchen as they had all those years ago, the only difference being that it was now a dinner for five and not just two.
Allison Dolores Brooks-Ramsey came into their lives nine years ago, and while it was earlier than they would have wanted, they didn’t regret a second of their lives ever since they first heard her voice.
The twins on the other hand, were planned, but nothing had prepared them for the chaos that Nathan and Natalie would bring. A new broken object every week, a dozen fights for the TV every day, and yet were nothing short of tiny tornadoes when they joined forces.
It couldn’t be more perfect.
“What time did Jackie and Emilia say that they would bring the girls back?”
“6:30, I think.”
“Ah. So we have time till 7:00.” They shared a knowing smile. Two aunts taking their nine and six year old nieces to the mall meant a complete raid of the toy store, and a new guitar.
“You need to stop letting everyone spoil the girls just because you have a soft spot for them, Ethan. Ally’s grown old enough to understand that she has her daddy wrapped around her finger, and we don’t need Nat coming to that realisation as well.”
“I don’t- I can’t believe you would accuse me of not loving all my children equally!”, he exclaimed in mock offense.
“Mhmm. So why did I have to come up with an explanation to tell Nathan why his dad wasn’t on board with ordering dessert when he asked for it, but relented once his sisters kept bugging him for another five minutes?”
He opened his mouth in protest, but decided against saying anything for his own good. “Well what can I say? They’ve inherited their mother’s persuasiveness. And I can’t really say no to you, can I?”
Alyssa’s lips curved upwards at that. The playful look in her husband’s eyes caused her to finally break into a grin. “At least you’re self-aware.” Stuffing the rice into the bird she added, “But I can’t exactly tell our son that his dad is too in-love with his mom that he sees her in his daughters and hence can’t say no to them. He’d gag in disgust.”
He chuckled and wrapped his arms around her, resting his head in the crook of her neck. “That he would. Alright I’ll try a little harder to resist their charms. Wouldn’t want my only son to end up hating me.” He said it without a hint of worry over it becoming true someday. Over the years, he’d learned to put aside his fears of not being a good father, and with the help of some therapy, and Alyssa’s unwavering love and support, he’d locked up his insecurities in a box and let it sink to the bottom of the ocean.
They took the stuffed chicken and put it in the oven, washed their hands and plopped down on the couch for some rare downtime.
“Crap.”
“Everything okay?”
“Fred’s mom got called in, so she’s dropping Nate off on her way to work.”
Ethan sighed. “There goes the hour I planned to spend with my wife, who I barely get to spend enough time with these days.”
“I swear, you were never this busy when you were chief. I have no idea why my workload’s ten times bigger.”
“I do.” Ethan smiled with pride. “One usually does have a lot of work when they’re at the front lines of the battle for making free healthcare accessible for every single person in the country. My brilliant wife, though she could choose to leave most of the work to her very competent team, opts to take it all upon herself. So that’s probably the cause behind all the extra workload she complains about.”
She smirked and perched herself onto his lap. “Well your very brilliant wife also knows that you called my team very competent just to avoid hurting my feelings, and that you and I both know that they’ll be running around like headless chickens without me taking care of things.”
“I know, love. But you can still make them do a little more instead of working yourself to the bone while still making sure that you have at least one meal with the kids every day.”
She sighed. “Yeah, to make sure that they don’t forget what I look like.” She leaned in closer. “Besides, are we really going to spend our last few minutes of peace talking about work?”
Just as she uttered the words, the door burst open, and Nathan kicked off his shoes and jumped onto the couch as Alyssa slid down from Ethan’s lap. She shot him a look that very clearly meant What did I just say?
Ethan gave her an apologetic look and ruffled his son’s hair. “Hey buddy. How was your day at Fred’s? I know you wanted to spend more time with him.”
“I did, and we were just about to open his new LEGO set when Mrs. Watson told us that she had to run up to her office for some emergency meeting.”, he pouted. “But it was a nice day. We watched Thor: Ragnarok and Luca, and we would’ve watched another movie if his dad didn’t tell us that two movies were enough for a day.”
Alyssa shot him a mildly stern look. “Well he was right. You’re too young to have movie marathons just yet. Two are more than enough, unless you want to have a headache.”
“But mom, I’m not too young! I’m a big boy! I can swing along the monkey bars at the park faster than Natalie, and soon I’ll swing across buildings just like Spider-Man!”
“Well Spider-Man got bitten by a yucky spider before he swung across buildings. Do you want to be bitten by a gross and poisonous spider?”
“Mommy, not all spiders are gross and poisonous. Dad told me that when I was four and got scared of them at the zoo.”
She rolled her eyes. Leave it to her husband to convince her kids that insects were anything short of creepy and disgusting. In reality, they were, but as someone who ran a mile away at the sight of a butterfly, she wasn’t going to accept that.
“That’s right, Nate. Some of them are certainly very poisonous and dangerous, but that doesn’t mean that you should be scared of them. If you maintain your distance and admire them from afar, there should be no problem at all.”, he said with a pointed look at Alyssa, who just huffed in annoyance.
Nathan giggled, his brown eyes lighting up with amusement. He loved watching his parents playfully bicker. It was way better than seeing them- ugh, kiss.
“We were pretending to be superheroes and Fred used his full name for his pretend name cause it sounded cool, and it is. Fredrick Anthony Watson sounds like something from that show you and mom watch with the guys in the stuffy suits.”
“When did you see us watching the show with the guys in the stuffy suits?”, asked Ethan with a slight hint of concern. Whatever he and Alyssa watched on their free nights was definitely not kid-friendly.
“I don’t remember. Maybe a few months ago.”
Their year old puppy, Ivy, woke up from her nap and bounced into the living room to jump onto her favourite person. Nathan squealed with joy as the fluffy hair of the dog tickled his nose.
Ethan and Alyssa smiled at each other. Getting another dog after Jenner was a decision that took a lot of convincing, but their kids were responsible enough and it was impossible to say no after two years of constant pestering.
“Fred told me that he was named after his great-grandfather William, and that he was this really cool guy who saved a bunch of guys from getting mugged in a dark, dark alley.” He turned to look at his parents as Ivy snuggled into his lap. “Who was I named after mom?”
The question caught her off guard, and she glanced at Ethan for backup.
When they knew that they were having a boy, they immediately knew what to name him. They hadn't, however, anticipated Nathan Daniel Brooks-Ramsey to ask such a question this soon.
Seeing his wife at a loss for words, Ethan spoke up. “C’mere Nate.” He pulled him closer and pressed a kiss atop his head. “We once had a friend named Daniel. He worked at the hospital as a nurse, and he was close to your mom and Aunt Sienna when they were interns.”
Having found her voice, Alyssa joined in. “He was an amazing friend. He was the only nurse in the hospital who helped me out when things got messy, and cheered up Aunt Sienna when no one else could. He’d join us for picnics and movie nights, and you could always count on him if you needed something at the hospital.” She took a deep breath, and Ethan nodded. “Things were going well, but then in my second year, something really bad happened.”
“Oh no.”
“There was this bad guy, who wanted his revenge on another bad guy, and he was ready to risk his own life, and the lives of everyone around him to do so.”
“That’s horrible! Who would want to do something like that?”
Ethan smiled wistfully. “A lot of people in this world actually do. You’re a good person, so you know that it’s wrong. But some people aren’t, and they don’t care about other people getting hurt because of their actions. That night at the hospital, Danny tried to tell the bad guy that it was wrong, and to think things through. But he didn’t listen, and did something that hurt both himself, Danny, Uncle Raf, another friend of ours, and your mom.”
His little eyebrows creased with worry, Nathan asked, “What happened then?”
“He… he died. Along with our other friend, Bobby. Do you remember what we once told you about an autopsy?” Nathan nodded his head. “Well Danny asked for his body to be autopsied, and thanks to him, we were able to find out what was wrong with mom and Uncle Raf.”
He fell silent for a moment, remembering the horrors of the day, and how eternally grateful he was to Danny for being the reason he didn’t lose everything. He couldn’t imagine a life without the love of his life and his children, and he wouldn’t have either if not for the sacrifices that were made.
He looked up at Alyssa, and she squeezed his hand in support. “We’ll tell you more when you’re older, but to make it short, you’re named after a hero too. If it weren’t for him, I wouldn’t have you, your sisters, or mom here with me.”
Nathan wriggled out of his dad’s arms, and set Ivy down so he could hug his mom as tightly as he could.
“Well… if you can hear me Mr. Daniel, I just wanna thank you. Thanks for saving my mom. I love her so much and I’m so thankful that I got to meet her because of what you did. I wish I could’ve met you, you sound like a really cool person, and I’m sure you were. So yeah, thanks. A lot.”
Alyssa’s eyes glimmered with unshed tears, and she held her son as she expressed her silent thanks along with Ethan.
What they had was precious.
Fifteen years had passed since they first met, and yet each day they fell in love a little more like they did when they held hands for the first time in the dim light of the NICU watching over little Ethan, or when she finally got to see the real him the first time she visited his place; the first time in years he let someone know a little of the worries residing deep in his heart.
With all the odds against them, it was a miracle that they survived, even more so that they managed to raise three perfect children who had more love to share than they could ever comprehend.
And they’d never forget all the reasons that made it possible for them to survive.
Ding!
The timer on the oven went off, and they got to their feet to get the chicken.
“Was he a good cook dad?”
“I… don’t really know, Nate. Your mom knew him better than I did.”
“Well there was this one time where he helped Aunt Sienna bake an amazing cake, so I guess he knew his way around the kitchen.”, Alyssa recollected fondly. It was for Jackie’s birthday, one of the few nights where the competition was completely forgotten about.
Nathan’s face melted into a glowing smile. “I love cake. So I guess I really would’ve loved him.”
She mirrored his radiant expression. “You definitely would’ve.”
“Why don’t you go play with Ivy while mom and I get the food ready? You can help us with the dessert later.”
“We’re having dessert?!”
Ethan grinned at his son’s excitement. “You bet we are.”
“Yay!” They watched as Nathan ran off to go play fetch with Ivy in their enormous backyard.
Ethan pulled Alyssa in for a sweet, lingering kiss as soon as he was out of sight.
“You’ve been wanting to do that for a while now hmm?”
“Something like that.”, he murmured as they broke apart.
She could see the ever-increasing strands of silver in his brown hair, and the faint wrinkles along the sides of his forehead, but his clear blue eyes were just as loving and devoted as she remembered from over a decade ago.
“We have a pretty good life, don’t we?”
Ethan kissed her again. “No, we have the perfect life.”

Chapter 1
Steve was on edge.  The Avengers had just come to the end of a very long, and very grueling mission.  With the lack of sleep, niggling injuries, and stress of battle, that would have been enough to have him anxious and exhausted just by itself, but Tony had insisted that they have a party to unwind while Steve still had government agencies to liaise with, paperwork to fill out, and people to question.  So instead of getting his work done so that he could sleep off his injuries and actually unwind, he had to be ‘on’ as the public figurehead of Captain America for a bunch of strangers while he was still running on less than four hours of sleep and had a cracked rib.
As he made his way through the large, open room, Steve became aware of a strange phenomenon.  The people around the door were in full party mood.  People were dancing, talking animatedly, and playing games of darts.  But as Steve moved through the room, the mood got more relaxed.  There was less dancing and more just talking and sharing drinks.  The level of the music dropped so it was more muted and even though the song never changed it somehow felt like it went from an upbeat dance number to a soothing ballad.  The light changed in the room too.  Closer to the elevator bright-colored disco lights cutting through the dark.  Whereas, by the windows, there was a soft diffused gold light, almost like early morning light coming through a gauze curtain.  By the time Steve reached the couches that were set up on a platform against the windows on the far side of the room, everyone was just lazing back on the couches, casually drinking in the soft light.
Thor, Bruce, Wanda, and Clint were all sitting together with you.  Steve didn’t recognize you, but the soft glow in the room seemed to both highlight you and make you seem like you were in soft focus. You had a slightly ruffled look like you’d woken up recently from a very good sleep.  Clint was practically curled up next to you like a cat.
“Steven!”  Thor boomed, making everyone near him jump in surprise.  “Come here, I have someone I wish for you to meet.”
Steve tried to hide the frustration that suddenly bubbled up inside him.  His friends had been trying to set him up with people for months and months now.  He’d been on countless blind dates with people he had nothing in common with, and even more dinners with surprise guests he was forced to be on with.  He hadn’t expected it from Thor and he resented the fact that even after such a grueling few weeks he needed to now play a round of the dating game.
Thor got up and approached Steve, clapping him on the shoulder as he gave your names.  He leaned in, bringing his lips to Steve’s ear.  “You may feel the urge to pull away.  Resist it - for me.”
Steve sighed and nodded as you looked up at Thor.  “You’re not staying?”  You asked.
“Not tonight,” Thor answered.  “I wish to celebrate.”
You gave him a small nod.  “Well, you know where I am if you need me.”
“I do.  Thank you,” Thor said, letting Steve go and heading back into the party where Tony was talking animatedly with Hill.
Steve took a seat near you.  Clint looked up at him with hooded eyes, like Steve had just disturbed his sleep, but not enough to properly wake him up.  There was an odd feeling of lethargy around the couches.  Not in a bad way exactly.  Just an overly relaxed sleepiness that made Steve wonder if they’d been partaking in marijuana before he’d gotten here.  Along with the sleepy-looking Clint, Wanda had her legs tucked up under her and was staring absently out the window, while Bruce was relaxed back with a goofy looking smile on his face.  It strangely had the effect of making him want to get up and leave in case he’d forgotten to do something.
“So what do you do?”  Steve asked as he resisted the urge to go back down to the office and get his work done.
You smiled and shook your head like you found the question funny.  “I like to paint,” you say.  “And I make a mean breakfast.”
Steve looked at you puzzled.  He’d never come across someone who answered that question with their hobbies rather than their job.  He wondered if you didn’t have one and were embarrassed or if you did something you didn’t think Steve would approve of.  The thought you were a HYDRA agent passed through his head and he looked over at Thor.  “How do you know Thor?”  Steve asked and Wanda started to giggle.
“We run in similar circles,” you say.  “Though I admit, I do not know him well.”
“She’s not HYDRA, Steve,” Wanda giggled.
That knowledge made Steve relax a little and you smiled at him.  “You’re holding a lot of tension, Captain Rogers.”
“Please, call me Steve,” he said.  “We’ve been on a mission for weeks now.  It takes a lot of me.  Everyone really.”
You placed your hand gently on his forearm.  He normally didn’t like when strangers invaded his personal space like that.  He’d had a fair amount of sexual harassment since becoming a supersoldier.  However, there was nothing even flirtatious about the moment.  It was genuine and kind and made him relax even more.  “It can be hard to let it go,” you said.  “But you are done, and now you can take the weight off your shoulders.  No need to carry it tonight.”
Steve tilted his head.  “Are you a therapist?”
You chuckled again.  “I guess - of a sort,” you said.
Steve was perplexed by the vague nature of your answers and couldn’t help thinking people were hiding something from him like this was some big trick.  Though he couldn’t see any reason why Thor of all people would be the instigator of such a trick.
“Will you relax, Steve?”  Wanda chided.  “She’s just a girl Thor thought you’d like.”
Steve tried to do as he was told.  He had to admit that it wasn’t easy though.  You definitely had a calming influence.  Despite the loud music and drinking happening in the rest of the room, at the couches, it was like a slumber party.  Bruce looked as relaxed as Steve had ever seen him, his whole body open and still as he talked calmly.  Clint dozed on and off, waking to join in on the conversation and then dropping back off to sleep again, while Wanda was giggly, and about an hour in she said she was going to go to bed and paint her toenails.
Whatever it was that was affecting the others, Steve could feel it too, but in the middle of what was a raging party, Steve was unwilling to completely relax.
“You don’t like it here much, do you?”  You asked.
Steve shrugged.  “I don’t mind a party sometimes, but no… not today.”
“I bet it’s been a long time since you’ve had a home-cooked meal,” you mused.  “Would you like to come back to my place?”
“No,” Clint whined as Steve balked.  “Don’t go.”
“I don’t… that’s probably not a good idea,”  Steve said.
“I meant for dinner, Steve,” you said.  “I promise, no funny business.”
Clint sat up and stretched.  “You should do it, Steve,” he said.  “Live a little.”
Steve looked at Clint and Bruce who were both nodding in approval.  He sighed and gave a small shrug.  “I guess I’m coming then.”
You got up and offered your hand.  “Come on, I won’t bite.”
He let you lead him out of the Tower and down into the street where you flagged down a cab.  “I don’t usually do this,” Steve said, as he sat in the back with you.
“I know,” you said.  “That’s why Thor set us up.”
“You’re not…” he stopped, not sure how to ask the question that was swirling in his mind right now and have it not come out as either offensive or judgmental.  “Are you a sex worker?”
You smiled and shook your head.  “No.  I like my bed though.”
“Why are you being so vague then?”  Steve asked.
“I can tell you if you really want to know,” you said.  “But Thor thought you might fight it more if you knew.”
Steve tensed up and shifted away from you a little.  “Do the others know?”
“Oh, yes,” you said.  “And I know you don’t know me well enough to trust me, but I promise what it is, won’t hurt you.  I’m not evil or malicious.  I am not here because I have to be or I’ve been paid to be.  You truly have just been set up with a woman.  And I am that.  I like you and I just want to take you somewhere you can relax and just enjoy a comforting meal.  That’s all.  If you don’t trust your friend on this, just say.  I’ll tell you.”
Steve looked you over, trying to see the lie or the trick.  All he could see was genuine kindness.  He gave a nod.  “Okay.  Will you tell me eventually?”
“Of course,” you said.  “When we’re both sure of how we feel about each other, I’ll tell you.”
The cab pulled up at a block of apartments on the upper west side.  It was a large pre-war building, the kind that has been romanticized in hundreds of films and costs more than most people could dream of earning to live in.
He followed you in and the two of you rode the elevator up to your floor quietly.  The tall ceilings and recessed walls of the hall brought him right back to his childhood.  You let him into your apartment and for a moment Steve felt like he’d stepped into a storybook.  The light was soft and diffused, filling the room with a hazy golden luminescence.  The furniture all looked inviting and cozy, the deep soft-looking couches all had cozy mink throws on them and a collection of fat plush cushions.  There were a few large bookshelves both filled with a mixture of books and board games.  Your TV was large but not obnoxiously so, and your coffee table was littered with candles, magazines, and books.
“Get comfortable,” you said as you headed into the kitchen, leaving him alone in the living room.
Steve took a moment to look around your apartment.  There was something about the room that reminded him of the way he and Bucky decorated.  You had a different taste to either man.  Steve was more into straight lines and dark wood, and Bucky like black and chrome, whereas you seemed to lean more into creams with splashes of color here and there.  However, like with him and Bucky, you had a mix of old and new.  Steve liked to keep things from his past whether they be actual things he had owned or just items that reminded him of his mother or times with Bucky.  The things you owned seemed to go back further than what he owned, but there was a lot that seemed to center around the nineteen-twenties.  Though they didn’t stop there.  There were items representative of various decades littering your apartment.  From depression-glass bowls to porcelain animals from the sixties to a lava lamp and a small collection of Pez Dispensers.
Steve noticed a copy of the Hobbit that looked remarkably like the copy he got when it came out.  Picking up several books he noticed that many were first editions.
He went and sat down more confused about who you were than he had been before.  You came out with a tray and placed it on the coffee table in front of him.  Each was laden with pancakes, eggs, hash browns, and fresh fruit.
“It’s a little late for breakfast,” Steve said, looking at you with his eyebrow raised.
You shrugged.  “I’m good at a few things, but this is the one that’s quickest,” you explained.  “Otherwise we’d be up for a few more hours while I cooked.”
“Breakfast food it is,” he said and started to eat.  You took your plate and sat back, crossing your legs under you and balancing your plate in your lap.  “You have an interesting collection,” Steve said, gesturing to one of your bookshelves.
“Thank you.  I try not to get too sentimental about what I keep and let go,” you said.  “I know it’s a little eclectic but there are some things I just can’t let go of.”
“How long have you lived here?”  Steve asked.
“A long time. Practically forever,” you answered
Steve wanted to ask you what you did for you to be able to afford living here but knew that would meet the same vague answer - so he let it drop and ate.  The food was good.  Warm and sweet and full of fat.  It wasn’t long until Steve began to feel sleepy and content.  You took the plates back away and when you returned to the living room, Steve was practically asleep on the couch.  You came over and gently touched his arm.
“It would be more comfortable in bed,” you whispered.
“I don’t… I never sleep with women on the first date,” he replied, sheepishly trying to fight the drowsiness pulling him down.
“I have a spare room if you want it,” you said gently.   “Though I just mean sleep.”
Steve stood slowly and followed you down the hall.  You opened the spare bedroom.  “This is my guest room.”
“And your bedroom?”  He asked, part of him wondering if you’d drugged him.
“The end of the hall,” you replied, taking a few steps toward it.  He followed you down and as he stripped down to his undershirt you changed into a soft pair of pajamas.
He climbed into the bed with you and you wrapped him in your arms.  As he drifted off to sleep, he thought how strange it was that he felt as comfortable as he did right now.

“Now, Kiss!”
Based on this hc I made earlier :)
3474 words
Fandom: The Lunar Chronicles
Pairing: Kai x Cinder
Fluff
Description:
Kai knew that the annoyance was part of having a sibling, but he hated it all the same. Nainsi would tease him about everything and when she figured out his crush on Cinder Linh, it only got worse. When Cinder calls Kai on the day that Nainsi brings some friends, she suspects that something might be cooking in the pot. Is she right, or are they friends for another agonizing day?
(Also I decided to name her Nainsi bc I’m too tired to brainstorm anything else I like it)
“WAKE UP KAI!” was the first thing Kai heard after being unfortunately interrupted by a sweet dream involving a certain someone. He was awake now, with a 100-pound pillow being tossed onto his head. Groaning, he flipped to his other side, squeezing his eyes shut as if that would make the tiny monster go away.
“KAI WE’RE GONNA BE LATE!” Nainsi yelled. She threw another pillow at him and when he didn’t show any signs of stopping, she yanked the cover out. Thank the stars for sheets.
“Stars, what time is it?” Kai managed to ask. Knowing his family it was probably five in the morning.
“Seven-thirty, ” he groaned again. It was way too early to get out of bed. Plus, the school didn’t start until eight-thirty so they were very much not late. He tucked his head in the pillow and wished for his sister to magically vanish away into whatever drama she obsessed with now.
“KAI! GET OUT THE BED RIGHT NOW!” Kai turned his head to glare at her. She glared right back.
“You know Cinder gets up super early for whatever reason. That’s something you two can get along with, ” instead of rolling her eyes like she usually did when Kai talked about Cinder, Nainsi's lips formed into a coy smile.
He cursed.
She somehow smiled even further and cocked her head, “Got any plans with her tonight?”
He could feel his ears turn red, and he tried to kill her on the spot with his eyes. His little sister took the smart choice and sprinted out of his room with Kai on her heels.
She screamed as he followed her down the stairs into the kitchen, seeking refuge next to their father’s chair. Kai could tell he was annoyed by the posture he was in and the way he took another sip of his coffee.
Nainsi shot Kai a smug smile that he wished to wipe off her face, “are you gonna wear pajamas to school, Kaito?”
“I’m going to kill you.”
“Ah, yes, but then you’ll spend the rest of your life in jail and will never see your precious Cinder again.”
He glared at her once more and left to go change. When he came back, the aroma of fried eggs was so strong that it filled the whole house.
His father was humming a tune while seasoning the eggs with pepper, now in a less annoyed mood. There were two plates on the kitchen counter already equipped with breakfast. Nainsi rebelliously made cereal instead of eating eggs. Kai, on the other hand, was grateful for the free breakfast.
He sat grabbed a ate and sat at the barstool, preparing to dig into his meal. Dad wanted to make small talk instead, “Good morning, son, and you're welcome for the delicious breakfast that I so graciously made for my marvelous kids.”
“Good morning, father, and us marvelous kids are so grateful for this delicious meal that makes caught us by surprise. But unfortunately, one of your children prefers Lucky Charms to you’re amazing breakfast, ” Kai responded after swallowing his first bite of eggs.
Nainsi looked up from her cereal, “that’s because I don’t like eggs, they’re disgusting.”
“You don’t like anything, ” she stuck her tongue out. Kai picked up his plate and placed it in the sink. Unsurprisingly, he was still hungry, so he went to see what was in the fridge.
“Kai, why don’t you ever want up early?” his father asked.
“Um, because-”
“Because he’s up all night thinking about making out with Cinder in the back of her BMW, ” the little monster interrupted before he could continue. He grabbed a tomato and slammed the fridge shut.
He then threw the tomato at her, “two strikes, Nainsi.”
She dodged the tomato and looked back at Kai with big round eyes.
“Hey, it's too early to fight with your sister just yet, ” interjected his father, “also, if you couldn’t tell, your mother is working double shifts at the hospital today so she wouldn’t be coming back tonight and I have a business trip. I know you have some friends coming over today, Nainsi, so behave better than usual. Both of you.”
“What friends are coming over, Nainsi?” Kai mused, an idea forming in his head.
“Just Geovanna and Emily. Possibly Ben but he hasn’t confirmed yet,” she answered, “why?”
“Just wondering. Anyways, we gotta go now,” Kai pulled on his sweatshirt from the laundry and headed towards the front, “bye dad.”
He nodded at Kai, currently preoccupied with his second mug of coffee while Nainsi rushed to follow Kai.
It was freezing out, as it usually was during winter in Maryland, but today was unusually cold. He turned on the car while Nainsi hopped in the passenger seat.
“Are we gonna go or what?” she barked.
“In a minute. Let me close my eyes for a bit.”
“You always do that, you lazy bum.”
“Your insults are getting drier and drier Nainsi.”
“Just go, ” this time she hit his forearm with her binder from nowhere. Repeatedly.
“Okay, stop hitting me. Ow.”
They drove off towards the school. Although Nainsi lived to tease Kai, they got along pretty well. They talked about this new show and had similar opinions on it during the short car ride. Once they were at Nainsi’s school and she was gone, then he could start playing the radio.
He bid his goodbye’s and see you later’s and now was off to his school.
᯽᯽᯽᯽᯽᯽᯽᯽᯽᯽᯽᯽᯽᯽᯽᯽᯽᯽᯽
Kai was unsurprisingly drained during the last period of the day. He fiddled with the corner of his notes to keep himself awake for at least ten more minutes. When he felt himself starting to doze off, he began to replay the day so far.
When he got to school, Cinder was marked absent which made his day worse. He always looked forward to hearing her sarcastic remarks or her smiling at one of his witty jokes.
Anyways, she was gone and he was sad, but Cress wasn’t. She happily explained to Kai that she and Thorne were going on a date Sunday. He was happy for her, truly, but all he could think about was how he can unsuccessfully tell his feeling to Cinder.
Not telling her felt like he was forgetting something important every day, except he was not forgetting. He knew exactly what he was doing and it killed him, but he also didn’t want to ruin the good that they have now. Then Kai would think about how it would be better and his thought would circle around and around.
After meeting up with Cress, they endured through the first two periods they shared, Scarlet and Thorne joining during the second. Although he had plenty of friends to talk to and enjoy, he couldn't help missing Cinder.
She's gone for one day and you feel like this? he thought, get a break. The little voice inside Kai's head was right.
Then the last bell rang, startling him. He stood up and began to pack his things. Then he fast-walked out and left.
"Kai!" he heard someone call.
Iko and Cress gestured at Kai to come to their lockers. He obliged.
"Look, Winter's birthday is in a couple of weeks, during the break. We want to throw a party because it's her sweet sixteen! We already have all the decorations ready, I know it's early, but long story short, can we throw it at your place?" his blue-haired friend asked as innocently as possible. Although she had to change her posture, tone, and expression to look innocent, Cress had that personality as her default.
"Please, Kai?” Cress pleaded and she knew what she was doing. It was always impossible to say no to her without feeling guilty. Or maybe it was just Kai who hated saying no.
“Of course! My parents are going to their parents during that week, so I’ll just ask to stay behind.”
“Yay! Thank you so much!” Iko hugged him tightly, “also not a word to Winger. It’s going to be a surprise.”
“Sounds nice.”
“Yep. I got to go to my job interview, remember what I was telling you about. Ah, the chance to work a boutique, what a dream,” and with that, his friend walked away.
“Hey Cress, did you hear anything about Cinder, ” he pressed.
She nodded, “Adri was mad at her again so she’s stuck at the garage, ” the blonde began to nibble in her fingernails. Noticing the bad habit, she brought he hand down.
“Oh, ” he hated Cinder’s stepmother, he truly did. And it killed him he couldn’t do anything about it.
They walked silently down the hall. Girls batted their lashes and some greeted him but he ignored it as usual.
“Do you think Adri would let Cinder free tonight?” he asked, now in the parking lot of the school.
“If you’re the one taking her anywhere then, of course, Adri would.”
Cress, Cinder, and Winter all skipped one grade. Cinder and Winter skilled first, and Cress skipped seventh. Cress was the smartest of them all, granted, and they don’t have a driver's license. So Cress got a ride with her older brother Jacin, and so did Winter (Jacin’s girlfriend). Cinder usually rode with Thorne, but on the good days, she rides with Kai.
They reached Kai’s car which was near Jacin’s car and being the super over-protective brother he was, he glared Kai down. Kai found this confusing because his feelings for Cinder were quite obvious, but then he saw Thorne parked next to Kai.
Thorne was currently ‘interested’ in Cress which made her a flustered mess.
Cress walked quickly to Jacin’s car and hopped in the back. Kai called goodbye and started his car. Then there was a rap on his window.
“What?” he asked Thorne, “I got to pick up my sister.”
“What flowers does Cress like?” he lifted an eyebrow at his friend, “not like that,” what Thorne did not know was that Cress told Kai everything about their date. Perhaps Thorne wants to keep it secret until then.
“Uh-huh.”
“Just answer the question!”
He shifted in his seat, “I dunno. Ask Jacin.”
“Great advice,” Thorne deadpanned.
“Get her roses. Those are super romantic and she’s all about the romantic gestures.”
“Nah, too cheesy. Pretend it's Cinder, what would she like?”
“Cinder doesn’t like flowers. Wrenches, however, are much appreciated.”
“I think I’ll just get roses.”
“Yeah, now move, my sister is waiting for me, ” Kai rolled up the windows and drove out.
Time passed very quickly and the next thing he knew, Nainsi was climbing in the passenger seat with her three friends in the back seat.
“I thought it was only two people, ” he whispered harshly.
She shrugged, “Ben decided to come.”
“What are you gonna feed them.”
“Pizza.”
“Who’s money?”
“Yours,” he shoved Nainsi but she shoved back.
“Fine but you owe me.”
“We’ll see, ” she turned in the seat to talk with her friends.
᯽᯽᯽᯽᯽᯽᯽᯽᯽᯽᯽᯽᯽᯽᯽᯽᯽᯽᯽
Once everyone was settled inside and pizza was ordered he began to brainstorm ways Kai could punish Nainsi for this morning.
Then, like a light bulb, a perfect idea formed into his head. He walked into the laundry room where a basket filled with his clothes was waiting for him.
He pulled off his shirt, grabbed the basket, and headed into the living room. His sister was watching a realistic drama with her friends, although Kai wasn’t sure the drama wasn’t ‘realistic’ at all.
This plan happened before on accident with the same friends and they just stared at him while Nainsi shooed him out. Little did he know that her friends would just start talking about him and his looks. When Nainsi told him this, he groaned and whined about how he got enough of this from school. So when Nainsi had people over, Kai would camp in his room to avoid the awkwardness.
Now, he knows how her friends would react. And how she would react.
But before he could do anything, the phone in his pocket vibrated, making him turn a one-eighty back into the laundry.
It was actually Cinder calling and he answered quickly, “hello?”
“Uh, Kai?”
“Yes?”
“Can you do me a favor? Please?” it sounded like she was outside where it was currently raining.
“Yes, of course, what do you need?”
“I need a ride. I’m stuck here in the rain, by myself. Also, this is going to sound weird but, can I also stay with you for an hour and a half?” she defeated like she lost an argument.
“I can pick you up and you can stay with me. Nainsi has some friends over but it should be fine, ” Kai wondered if he sounded too cheery.
“Ok, thanks. I’m at the gas station outside your neighborhood, by the way.”
“Great, see you in a few minutes. Bye.”
“Bye, ” she hung up.
Kai hurried to put on a shirt and grab two rain jackets from the close, just in case Cinder needed one. Then he walked into the living room and out the front door, only to come back in. He forgot to tell Nainsi where he was going.
“Hey Nainsi, I got to pick up someone. I’ll be back soon though, ” she nodded, mouth full of pizza crust, “uh, don’t open the door to strangers. Bye.”
This time he didn’t go back inside after he left. He drove out of the neighborhood, slowly because it was pouring buckets and he could barely see three feet in front of him. After an eternity, Kai finally reached the gas station and parked under the large roof.
He didn’t even see Cinder come in, only heard her, sacring him witless. She smiled apologetically while tossing a white plastic bag onto her lap. It was full of snacks.
“Thanks for coming to get me, I owe you one now, ” she said, handing him one of the bags of chips.
“Of course, Cinder, I would do anything for you, ” the corner of her lip curved upwards as Kai’s cheeks heated, “that came out wrong. I meant that you’re my friend and such. Like the good moral movies where like the one friend reminds the other what friendship is truly about?”
Cinder snorted, “Like My Little Pony?”
“Isn’t that a TV show?”
“Same thing.”
“Is not.”
“Whatever, I know what you meant. Peony had made me watch enough TV shows and movies to last a lifetime.”
“Okay then, ” the rain seemed to finally thin during their conversation making it much more comfortable conditions for Kai to drive in.
Cinder had a habit of talking with her mouth full and the ‘good manners kid’ inside of him cringed. He hoped he hid it well.
Anyways Cinder explained why she was soaking wet at a gas station abandoned with snacks. She was bored and hungry and wanted something to do. So she walked to the gas station, alone, for snacks and a good walk.
Kai raised an eyebrow at that, “you live far away from me, how and why did you walk miles just for a bag of junk food?”
“People can do miraculous things when they are bored, Kai.”
“Yes, and penguins can fly if they really set their minds to it.”
“They are a bird so, hey, nothing’s impossible.”
“Who drove you?”
Cinder shoved a chip in her mouth, “Pearl,” she admitted reluctantly.
“What?”
“I skipped lunch and she knew I was hungry so she drove me here and left me while I was getting snacks. She also called me and said that it was a prank she couldn’t resist.”
“Oh, ” Kai said as they were pulling in his driveway. It was drizzling now so there was no need for the rain jackets.
“I’m also supposed to be at the garage until later so that's why I have to stay that long. If I come back early, Adri would get mad, and I don’t feel like getting yelled at today.”
“Ok,” he said as he walked out of the car.
He opened the door for Cinder and followed her inside. Nainsi and her friends did not move from before he left, but they switched shows. His little sister locked eyes with Cinder, immediately getting up.
“Hey Cinder. I did not know you two were hanging out today?” She said conspiratorially.
Cinder nodded, “yeah it was kind of sudden. Also, Peony is not with me, sorry.”
“That’s okay. I’m going back to my friends now. So you guys can ‘hang out’” Nainsi emphasized the last part then ran off to her friends.
“So, um, what do you want to do for an hour and a half?” he asked.
Cinder turned to him, “I don’t know, what do you want to do.”
“I don’t know.”
“Let’s just go to your room then.”
“Good idea, ” Cinder has been to his house enough to know the layout. He followed her to his room where she fell on the bed.
“Working under cars all day isn't good for the back you know, ” she explained, muffled by a pillow.
“I would expect so because your posture is not up to standards.”
She snorted, “I guess that’s true, ” Cinder sat up and leaned on the headboards, “sorry for taking up your space. And for calling you. Stars, this was a bad idea, you already have people here. I’m like an intruder-”
“Why are you apologizing so much? I don’t care if you light my room on fire, ” Kai accused. It was true, ever since he met her, she would apologize for every single tiny thing, as if every single wrong thing she did was unacceptable. He moved towards her to place a hand on hers, “it’s okay, Cinder. And calling me was a good idea because you saved me from the little demons.”
Cinder let out a genuine laugh that ended with a genuine smile. A smile that never ceased to make his heart twitch. He bashfully realized that he was still holding her hand.
Kai let go but she only grabbed his hand back. He watched her intertwine their fingers, trying to ignore the strong pounding of his heart. He dared to look up and realized that Cinder was staring at him.
He looked into her chocolate eyes that seemed to shine with stars. He wanted to dive into that sea of brown and lie there for eternity. As long she was there.
“Now kiss!” cried a shrill voice. Kai jumped away from Cinder, noticing that she copied his actions.
“Aw, come on just kiss already, the tension was so thick, ” said... Peony?
Cinder’s eyes widened, “Peony, what- how did- why are you here?”
“Well first, I was invited to the sleepover but I had volleyball practice so I had to come late. I just got here. And second, I saw Nainsi sneaking up here so I followed, and oh my stars, we ruined the money, didn’t we?” Peony looked at Nainsi.
“We did. Sorry guys, we’ll go now.”
“Yes, now you can kiss in peace, ” the girls left, leaving Kai very flustered. He glanced at Cinder and saw that her cheeks were also tinted pink.
“So, do you want something to eat, ” he asked finally. He could not bear the silence anymore.
“Yes, ” she nodded, although they already are in the car.
They got up to leave but before he could open the door, Cinder grabbed his wrist and pulls him down. The next thing he knew they were kissing. It was quick and soft and amazing. It felt like everything suddenly clicked and the world was righted. Like the stars finally aligned.
She pulled away and Kai could feel the heat in his ears. His heart was beating so loud that he was sure Cinder could hear it as well.
“Let’s go get some food, ” she breathed and opened the door. She was still holding his wrist, he realized. He intertwined their hands like before, but this time it felt more meaningful. It was like their hands now signified that they were more than friends. That they loved each other, even if they hadn't admitted it yet. But he could feel it and was sure that she could too.
They entered the kitchen and Cinder began to talk about food options but all he could think about was the kiss. He wanted to kiss her again. And to hold her.
Someone cleared their throat behind them, making them turn around. Nainsi, Peony, Emily, Geovanna, and Ben all stood with knowing faces. Nainsi smirked, “finally.”
Peony looked like she was about to explode with happiness, “I already told Iko. She’s ecstatic.”
Neither Kai nor Cinder said anything. Nainsi probably knew because of the looks on their red faces and told Peony. Then Peony told Iko and Iko probably told everyone in their friend group.
So now everyone knows.
“Just to be sure, you guys did kiss, right?” asked Emily.
Slowly, Cinder nodded. Kai opted to stare at his feet. Peony whooped, Nainsi squealed, Cinder blushed, and Kai groaned.
“Ok now we will leave you alone, for real, ” Nainsi promised, dragging her friends away.
“Why are there so many people here?” Kai murmured then turned to Cinder. She leaned on his shoulder. They were still holding each other's hand, “I really want to kiss you again, by the way.”
“Me too.”
“Okay then, ” he cupped her cheek with his free hand and kissed her. Cinder squeezed his hand affectionately. He once again felt like everything was where it was supposed to be, where he was supposed to be, and that was with Cinder.

you’ve got news
Tumblr media
So, I already talked about this with @missmorwen and I know I don’t have the time to draw and make an actual comic out of it, BUT I cannot stop thinking about this SamSteve-post-engdame-fix-it story (with a dash of BuckyNat, ‘cause that’s just who I am) which is kinda crack and very rom-com (a bit you’ve got mail) inspired and doesn't make much sense, because... PLOT HOLES but * sigh * I kinda wanna share at least the idea so - bear with me:
So, instead of Nat dying, Steve sacrifices his Captain America powers on Vormir and comes back as Skinny!Steve and starts running a political blog called you’ve-got-news in secret, uncovering all kinds of shady business/corruption and becoming the bane of existence of every politician and greedy CEO - but it takes a while for his friends to figure out it's him who’s running that increasingly popular blog (which the new Captain America is actually a big fan of ;)). And the way that happens is as follows:
So, Steve almost died at the end of Endgame. The idiot (affectionate) of course still wanted to fight Thanos, but even with Thor’s Hammer, he took some serious, serious injuries which led to a tough talk with Sam, Nat and Bucky
Like I imagine, that while Steve would not have any regrets whatsoever about giving up his powers, he would still need some time to come to terms with the fact that he won’t be able to participate in the action like he used to. Even though, he actually wants and knows... it’s time to ... start something new, it’s still a process. So, there he is, trying to figure out who he is without the mantle of Captain America, re-defining the way he can and will fight against bullies in the future (cause there is no way he’s gonna stop that).
And to the surprise of everyone, Steve actually doesn’t press for participating in Avenger-style-fights anymore (he still does some of the practical mission planning and shit like that) but most importantly, he starts taking up new hobbies, like cooking or old hobbies like drawing - and he seems happier than he has in a long time, and yeah maybe it’s a bit too good to be true, if Sam starts thinking about it. But, hey, Steve finally seems to be happy so -
Meanwhile, Sam still becomes the new Captain America, and Steve is there while he is adjusting, finding himself in that role. He is there when Sam needs to talk things through, and yeah, it would still be a process like in tfatws series, but ... a little bit less alone, I guess.
So, the new Captain America fights alongside Nat and Bucky - and it’s good, they work surprisingly well together, but also: those two are stuck right in the middle of a weird assassin!flirting situation (I’m imagening a lot of veeery intense staring at the other while cleaning their weapons or beating someone up, innuendos en masse, dark humour etc.). And frankly, it’s getting on Sam's nerves because they seem to be so oblivious about the whole damn thing. Neither of them is actually admitting to anything, no, they are too busy teasing him about the ‘crush’ he has developed on that mysterious dude who is running the famous political-youve-got-news-blog that gained momentum a while ago and is currently keeping all the corrupt politicians and CEOs on their toes.
So, yeah, Sam might have been caught a couple of times reading or reciting from that blog because - it has actually turned into a pretty efficient way of mobilising people to demonstrate for change and it did give him some tip-offs in regards to who the bad guy really was and yeah. But it’s not a crush... Sam just really likes reading the blog posts, okay. That dude seems pretty cool and they share the same moral code, so... whatever.
What Nat and Bucky and Steve don't know (and he’ll never tell them), is that Sam is actually kiiiiinda already frequently talking with the guy who runs the blog. Anonymously on both ends, of course (because for good reasons both of them are pretty careful about giving away information concerning their identities). And in a way that whole anonymity-thing makes it a lot easier to talk about stuff he finds harder to admit to the people who he knows directly. So, you could say, blog-guy has kinda become Sam's internet friend, but not his crush, no.
Honestly, the crush he is more concerned about (that he also isn't planning on telling anyone about any time soon, cause Bucky would just tease him and Nat would start scheming) is, well, it’s Steve. Because, damn, he likes their get-togethers a lot, the meals Steve's cooking are honestly to die for. They watch baseball together, they do museum-trips... And the way they can talk about (almost) everything... He just feels understood and... yeah, loved (maybe not in the way that he wishes for, but still) and it’s nice to see Steve so happy and okay, maybe it’s getting a bit out of control because Sam took Steve with him to visit Sarah and his nephews and Sarah kinda saw right through his act of ‘hey, this is my best friend’ and ‘what do you mean, I don’t have feelings- okay. Yeah maybe I do’ and told him in no uncertain terms to fucking do something about it and get his shit together.
The thing is, he’s got it bad. But Sam is also torn, because this is the best fucking friendship he's ever had and he does not want to jeopardise that. So, in the end he ends up talking about this with his Internet friend... about how he kinda has this huge crush on his best friend, and his Internet friend is like, ‘TELL ME ABOUT IT, big fucking same here UGH. And I feel like I’m being SO obvious about it all. It’s honestly embarrassing. My other best friend keeps teasing me ‘bout it and tells me to just go for it, but that guy still hasn’t managed to ask out the girl he’s interested in, so, what does he know, right?’. And Sam laughs - at least he’s not alone.
So the days go by (Sam’s pining only increases, Steve took him to a wine tasting the other night and he almost... in his drunk state... almost... but he didn’t) until one day, while blog-guy and Sam are chatting, all of the sudden the blog-guy is like, ‘Shit, I think someone's breaking into my apartment’ and then like, ‘Okay, yes they are’ - and Sam's like, ‘call 911′, and blog-guy writes back ‘mmh think I can handle them’ (and Sam’s like ‘WTF... I know way too many people with zero regards for their own well-being, myself included’)
But then blog-guy is not answering anymore, so Sam frantically calls up Nat who rushes to his flat and Sam says: ‘You need to find out where that IP adress is located ASAP - the dude with that famous blog is in danger.’
And Nat does that multitasking thing where she’s working on the problem while ribbing Sam about the fact that, apparently, Captain America's Internet bestie is that famous blog dude, and- 'Are you sure it’s not a crush?'
But after another minute, Nat sighs and is like, ‘I can't find the location, this thing is encrypted af, it’s impossible.’ Suddenly, she notices something about the setup of the encryption and-, ‘Hang on a second, it was me who set this up for someone back in 2011.′ And as she slips on her jacket, she says to Sam, ‘Come on. I know where we have to go!’
So they make their way to what turns out is Steve's (!!!!) apartment and find him in the middle of a fight against over half a dozen heavily armed people, and yeah - he’s actually doing pretty okay for himself ‘cause he outsmarted a couple of them, but also- they kind of outnumber him, so Nat and Sam get to work.
And Sam doesn't even have time to fully register what that means re:blog-guy until they have successfully defeated the bad guys. After that's done, Steve is like, ‘Thanks guys, but how the hell did you know I was in trouble? Nat... you didn’t bug my apartment, did you??’
And Nat tstsk and then she just laughs because this is priceless and OF CoURSE it is Steve who is behind that blog... (she's a bit mad at herself for not figuring it out sooner, and a bit sad that Steve didn't feel like he could tell her, and that he assumes she has is flat bugged but, also,... kinda impressed.) But then she looks at him with a warm smile on her face, shaking her head, saying, ‘No, I didn’t, Steve.’ Her gaze wanders back and forth between Steve and Sam and she humms- 'That actually makes so much sense oh my god.' So, she leaves them ‘to talk’ ;) and for Sam to explain everything’ - and then it’s just the two of them.
And Sam does explain everything and is like, 'So you're that Blog dude, erm...' He's scratching the back of his neck, cheeks flushed, 'Turns out, we've been talking for months over that blog of yours. I'm (insert-Sam’s-username-here).'- and Steve's eyes go wide and you can literally see him processing that information right then and there and he's sputtering out a light laugh, and he's like 'Hang on a second... I... umm, okay, I gotta ask. So, that best friend you've got a crush on...' Well, it’s now or never -'Is you, yeah..', Sam admits and starts, 'and....' They both laugh again and Steve nods and just says- 'yeah, it’s you, too.'
And then they kiss and yaaay, happy ending!!!
And then the epilogue would be about them having a nice dinner with Bucky and Nat a couple of months later, and the whole time, Sam and Steve are being very much in loveTM. The three guys are standing in the kitchen, while Natasha is in the bathroom and Bucky's making a funny quib about how sickeningly cute Sam and Steve are together - and Sam, well, Sam just raises his eyebrows and is like, 'You know what, you're not allowed to say anything bout that, you and Romanoff have been acting waaaaay worse over the last year. At least we got our shit together in the end, what's your excuse, you are obviously absolutely in love with her!', and of course Nat chooses that exact moment to enter the room, hand on Bucky's waist, dropping a kiss on his cheek and is like, 'What do you mean, we've been dating for 6 months?' And Steve laughs and Sam groans bc .... he loves his friends, he does, but clearly, CLEARLY they ALL have to work on their communication skills!
The End.

Heya. May I request an Hela x female reader where Hela falls in love with the reader whom is Loki's friend and decides to kidnapp the reader and reader being scared and angry at her at first, only getting along with Fenrir but reader falling in love with her as well after a while and Hela asking the reader to marry her?
WC: 2695
TW: this can kinda come off as Stockholm Syndrome-y I think? So tread lightly if that upsets you.
A/N: This is… a long one. Settle in with a snack. I wrote it in two sittings, so hopefully it flows. Enjoy!
You woke groggy and confused, unable to remember when youhad fallen asleep or why you were so cold and uncomfortable, and it took yousitting up to realize just how much of a predicament you were in.
You had shackles around your wrists, and while you weren’trestrained in any other way on the bed you had been laid on, it was still arather unsettling way to wake up.Trying desperately not to panic, you tried to take note of your surroundings, trying to figure out where you might be or who might have you, and you had justswung your legs over the edge of the bed to try to stand up when you heard acool, collected voice speak from somewhere in the shadows on the other side ofthe room, and you could just make out the figure of someone sitting in a chair.
“I wouldn’t do that if I were you. You’re still too groggy.”
Your brow furrowed, and you squinted, trying to get aglimpse of who was speaking. “…who are you? What have you done with me?” Apause, as a bit more of your memory came back to you. “Where’s Loki?”
The voice laughed, and a few moments later, the figure stoodand crossed into the light, and you were more than a little surprised to seethat it was a woman who was holding you captive. Even if she did look extremelyintimidating. “I am Hela. And you’re-”
“Wait, Hela like Thor and Loki’s sister Hela?”
Hela hesitated, clearly a bit miffed that you hadinterrupted her, but eventually, she cleared her throat. “…yes. The very same. And I’ve brought you to somewhere they’ll never find you. You don’t need toworry about them anymore.”
Well, that didn’t sound threatening at all.
“…Why have you brought me here?”
“I intend to court you.”
Of all the thingsyou could have expected her to say, this wasn’t even on the list, and all youcould do was stare blankly at her in shock.
“I’ve been watching you for some time, and I think that wewould make a good match.”
Finally, you snapped out of it, and bit out a forced huff ofa laugh. “…so you kidnapped me, put me in shackles, and just think thateverything’s going to be peachy-keen? What, did you watch Beauty and the Beast one too many times as a kid?”
“….I don’t know what that is, but I only put the shackles onyou so you wouldn’t hurt yourself if you woke up.”
You scowled, still entirely unsure what to think about thisentire scenario. “…Loki will find me. As soon as they realized that you tookme, they’ll come with the rest of the Avengers, and whatever… this is will fall through.”
Hela looked at you, like she was trying to understand whyyou didn’t quite seem as onboard with the idea as she was, and after a longmoment of silence, she spoke again. “…you’ll come to like it here, in time. You’ll see. In the meantime, I’ll have your supper brought in soon. You must bestarving after sleeping all day.”
You couldn’t think of anything to say to that, too besideyourself in pure anger and confusion at Hela’s sheer audacity, and you onlyscowled, curling back up in the bed and glaring out of the small window by yourbed.
“…Fenris, keep watch over her. Good girl.” You heardmovement on the other side of the room, followed shortly afterward by the soundof a door closing and, having assumed Hela was leaving, you turned your headback in her direction, only to be greeted with the largest dog you had everseen towering over you, looking at you curiously.
“…..you must be Fenris.”
Fenris chuffed out a quiet little snort, and bowed her headslightly, and you watched in silence, still so unsure of what to think of yoursituation.
“…I don’t suppose you’ll help me get out of here?”
Fenris snorted, and in response laid her entire head on yourlap, effectively keeping you sitting right where you were, and you groaned inpure frustration. “….great. Just what I needed. A giant dog to keep me trappedin here, on top of some strange woman who thinks the best way to court someoneis to kidnap them.”
You heaved a sigh and looked back out the window.
“What fucking luck.”
——————–
You weren’t sure how long Hela had kept you wherever it wasthat she was keeping you.
The most you had gotten out of her was that you were on someplanet that wasn’t Midgard or Asgard, which had been destroyed, as Loki had told you before. You didn’t evenrecognize the planets you could see from the window, so you didn’t hold muchhope for being anywhere near Earth, but to your surprise, you were finding itless and less possible to care about it as much as you once had.
Hela somehow managed to spend both more and less time withyou than you thought she would, when she’d mentioned she was interested incourting you. She spent the mornings in the room with you, trying to get you totalk about yourself, but afternoons you had to yourself after Hela haddelivered your lunch, and the only company you had until dinner was yourselfand Fenris, who never left your side longer than it took for her to go outsidewhen she needed to.
In fact, Fenris, you reasoned, was the most, if only, bearable thing about being held captive for the foreseeable future until you, presumably, fell in love with Hela or were found by Loki and the rest of theAvengers. For all her towering height and scary, very large and sharp teeth, she was a sweetheart, and the more she hung around with you, the more fond youbecame of her. You would sneak her scraps from your meals, and scratch herbelly when she sprawled out on the floor.
Once, Hela had walked in and found you both asleep on thefloor, Fenris curled up in a ball, and you nestled against her side, and thesight had endeared her so much that she sat on the floor and watched you untilyou woke up, something that you couldn’t quite decide whether or not was endearingor a little unsettling.
Perhaps it was a little bit of both.
Hela herself was a puzzle that you couldn’t solve, for allyour trying.
She had kidnapped you, taken you from Loki and your otherfriends, and your home, but she was treating you the nicest anyone had evertreated you. Aside from keeping you shackled twenty-four/seven and refusing tolet you out of the room without supervision, and even that was only so youcould use the bathroom when you needed.
If you took away the fact that she’d literally committed acrime, and a creepy one at that, Hela just seemed like a girl in love, who didn’tquite know how to properly show it. Which was flattering, you supposed, andwould, in any other setting, be almost endearing.
Maybe she just didn’t know any better.
Thor and Loki hadn’t told you much about Hela, but that wasonly because they didn’t know thatmuch about her, but from what you’d understood, Hela had had a rougherchildhood than you could imagine, and had been locked up simply for being whatshe was trained to be. You couldn’t imagine what that would do to a person’spsyche.
Perhaps you had reacted too harshly.
One morning, you finally decided to at least try to talk to Hela. Maybe you couldhelp her understand that what she was doing was wrong and that there were muchbetter ways to go about courting someone.
So when you heard the keys Hela carried jingling, you satup, facing the door so that you were the first thing Hela saw when she came in.
“…you’re awake.” Hela seemed genuinely shocked to see youlooking at her, and when you smiled a little, she only seemed all the moresurprised. “…I brought you something different today. I know you must begetting tired of eating the same stuff every single day, and… there was amarket in the city nearby, so… I brought you some pastries.”
Hela’s nerves had seemingly gotten the better of her as shehanded you your plate, you figured you must have really thrown her for a loopby being so amenable today. You thanked her quietly, and when she moved to sitdown in her chair by the door, you caught her wrist without really thinkingabout it, and the both of you froze for a second, neither of you daring tomove.
“…sit down with me. We’ll share.”
Hela hesitated for a moment, even after you’d loosened yourgrip on her, and after a long moment she sat down on the very edge of the bed,and still at a distance from you. You picked out a pastry for yourself and heldthe plate out for her, but she shook her head.
“…I don’t need to eat. Not really.”
Your brow furrowed a bit as you looked at her. “…that’s notan Asgardian thing. Thor and Loki eat.”
Hela huffed out a tense laugh. “Thor and Loki weren’tbanished to Hel for centuries.”
You didn’t say anything to that; what were you supposed to say to something like that? But when it became clear Hela was still expecting you to say something, youcleared your throat a bit.
“…you could still eat, if you wanted to. I mean, I won’tmake you. But… you could. I don’t mind.”
Hela smiled, more of a grimace than anything else, but yousmiled a little in response, as well, and for a moment, you sat in silence, chewing on your breakfast in silence.
“…You can take the shackles off, you know. I’m not gonna goanywhere.” You laughed a bit. “I can’t. You don’t even let me out of the room.”
“…your door hasn’t been locked since you got here.”
That confused youto no end, and as you looked at her, absolutely bewildered, Hela actuallycracked a bit of a smile.
“I just jingle the keys so you think the door’s locked. You’ve always had free reign of the house.Did you really not even try the door?”
You were a little too embarrassed to admit that you hadn’t, so you just took another bite ofyour breakfast, hoping your flushed cheeks didn’t give you away.
“…you can look around today, if you want. I don’t mind. AndI’ll take the shackles off, too.”
“….I’d like that.” You looked back over at Hela, findingthat she was already looking at you with an expression far softer than youthought someone like her capable of making, it only made you blush all the moreas you smiled weakly.
Hela returned the smile much moregenuinely, and when she reached over to take one of the pastries from yourplate, you couldn’t help but to wonder if this might be a turning point in therelationship between you.
——————–
Days faded into weeks faded into months, and the longer youspent with Hela, the more you found yourself enjoying Hela’s company.
You would read together in the humble little library she hadmade for herself in the corner of the living room, you would play fetch withFenris together, and sometimes Hela would even let you go down with her to thevillage to go the market and run errands.
It was nice.
Much nicer than you had ever expected things to turn out.
Sometimes you felt a little guilty that you had just… stopped wondering if or when Loki andthe others would come, but then you would think about how much you were actually kind of enjoying being withHela and Fenris, and eventually you stopped wondering about it at altogether.
It was late one evening that you found yourself standingnext to Hela in the kitchen, drying dishes with a clean rag as Hela handed themto you, and you were overwhelmed with the pure domesticity of it all, and youstopped, tilting your head as you got lost in your thoughts.
“…Y/N…? Is everything alright?” Hela’s quiet voice broughtyou out of your silent revelry, and you turned to look at her, smiling a bit.
“…just thinking.” You shrugged a bit as you set down aplate.
“About?”
“…this, I guess. Us. Being here, together.”
You weren’t looking at Hela, but you heard her take a long, slow breath, anticipating what you were about to say next.
“…I’ve never connected with anyone like this before.” You glancedover at Hela then, and you saw that she had relaxed, but only just. “…it’snice.”
Hela nodded slowly, and finally turned her head to look atyou, expression unreadable. “…It is?”
“…it is.”
You weren’t entirely sure when the two of you had moved soclose, or which of you was the one to make the first move, but one moment youwere looking at Hela, and the next you were kissingher, and it was nice and warm and right, and by the time Hela pulled back, you were smiling softly.
“….I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have…” Hela started to apologize, but you shook your head.
“Don’t. It’s okay. Really.”
“…it is?”
You could only laugh softly as you nodded, smiling a littlemore. “In fact, I… I’d really like to do that again, if… if you don’t mind?”
“I don’t mind.” Hela answered alittle too quickly, like she could hardly contain her eagerness, and it was soadorable and unlike her that you laughed, even as you leaned forward to kissher again, dishes completely forgotten on the counter.
——————–
“Y/N?”
You looked up from where you were sitting curled next toHela, book in hand and Fenris’ nose on your lap as you scratched herabsentmindedly. “Yes, darling?”
“…I’ve been thinking.”
Despite knowing that nothing was wrong, you couldn’t helpbut to feel your heart sink in preparation for hearing something that you mightnot want to, but you tried to smile and nod, hoping Hela didn’t catch the quiet“…oh no…” you muttered under your breath.
“…You’ve been here for quite some time now.”
It was true; you wagered it must have been close to a yearby now that you and Hela had been living in your secluded little cottage on theoutskirts of the village, and life there together with her just felt perfect, in a way that you’d neverexperienced before, and you nodded along as Hela continued to speak.
“And I like to think that we’re, that this… I mean, I canonly speak for myself, but… I’m just going to say it. It… It works.”
You laughed a bit, feeling relief when you realized Hela wasjust nervous and unsure how to say what she was saying. “It works. It does.”
Hela nodded again, looking at you for a long moment. “…marryme?”
You were so at a loss for words that you could do nothingbut stare blankly at her, trying to wrap your brain around what she’d said.
“I don’t… have any rings, like they do on Midgard, and we don’thave anyone to perform the magic rites that they did on Asgard, but… We canjust say that we’re married. And we’llknow. And that’s enough for me, if… if that’s enough for you.”
You laughed a bit, nodding as you reached for Hela’s hand, holding it tightly in your own. “Yeah. I think that would be enough for me.”
Hela smiled, and immediately leaned forward to kiss you, andit was easy to tell just how head over heels she was for you, and it even more amazingto know that you loved her exactly the same. Perhaps it wasn’t how you had everimagined falling in love would be like, but it was love and it was imperfect.
You’d never known you could be so happy.

Family Vacation
HTTYD Creative Week 2021
Day 5: AU
Hiccup brings Astrid on a Haddock family vacation. Like Heaven AU. Rating: G.
“You know, Hiccup, if I never went to your house, and never came on this trip, I wouldn’t have guessed that your family was loaded.” Astrid gazed around the hotel suite room. “You don’t act like a rich kid at all.” She peeked into the bathroom. “But my Thor, this place is nice.”
It was the summer before freshman year of high school, and Stoick and Valka had allowed Hiccup to invite Astrid on a family vacation to Switzerland. He was getting older, and since he didn’t have any siblings, they thought it would be nice for him to have someone his age to hang out with.
Laughing, Hiccup opened his luggage and began unpacking. “I’m glad you don’t think I act like a rich kid. And yeah, it is nice.”
“I’ve never been on a vacation where I get my own bedroom and bathroom. Well, obviously we’re sharing, but you get what I mean.”
“I’m glad you’re here. My parents always get a two-bedroom suite when we go away, but if I’m being honest, I don’t like always sleeping in a room by myself. It gets lonely.”
“Well, now I’ll be around to keep you company.” Astrid unzipped her travel bag and started sorting her things. “Damn,” she groaned as she rummaged through her clothes. “I didn’t bring pajamas.”
“I have extra t-shirts and sweats if you want to borrow some,” offered Hiccup.
“I have some t-shirts, too.” Astrid said. “I’m just missing pants.”
“Wear your t-shirts, borrow my sweats. It’s an easy fix.”
“Are you sure?”
“Of course I’m sure.” He tossed her a pair of sweats.
“Thanks.” She piled the pants on top of her denim shorts. After organizing the rest of her clothes, she placed them in the dresser stationed against the wall. “Hiccup, do you know what time your parents were planning to get dinner? I’m starving.”
“Well, it’s already late, so we’ll probably just order room service. I can go ask Mom and Dad to call now if you want.”
“I don’t want to hurry them if they’re not ready. I’m your guest, remember? I shouldn’t be making unnecessary work for your family.”
“You’re not. My parents love having you around. I’m sure they’d be happy to order dinner.” After putting his toothbrush away, Hiccup stepped into the living room and made his way to Stoick and Valka’s bedroom. “Mom, Dad?” he said, pushing the cracked door open the rest of the way. “Can we get something to eat?”
“Of course, son,” Stoick replied. “What are you and the lass hungry for?”
“Astrid!” Hiccup shouted. “What do you want to eat?”
“Coming!” In a moment, Astrid was seated on the living room couch between Hiccup and Stoick while Valka continued to unpack. After looking at the room service menu and making a selection, Stoick placed the order.
“See? I told you that you wouldn’t be making unnecessary work,” said Hiccup as he and Astrid finished sorting their belongings.
“Sorry for trying to be a polite guest,” Astrid retorted playfully.
By the time they were finished putting everything away, the food had arrived. After joining Stoick and Valka for the meal, the two friends headed back to their bedroom, ready for a good night’s sleep.
“Do you want to take the first shower?” asked Hiccup.
“Sure,” Astrid shrugged. She trudged into the bathroom, emerging in a towel twenty minutes later. “I’ll get dressed in here while you have your turn,” she said with a yawn.
“That works for me.” Hiccup took his shower quickly, struggling to keep his eyes open long enough to dry off, get into pajamas, and brush his teeth. When he finally finished, he crawled into bed, where Astrid was already lying, and curled up beside her.
“You know, hotel beds always feel weird,” Astrid remarked.
“Weird? How?” Hiccup asked, raising an eyebrow.
“I don’t know.” She shrugged. “They just are. And the covers are never thick and cozy like regular duvet sets usually are.”
“If you’re cold, you can turn up the heat,” mumbled Hiccup, reaching to turn off his bedside lamp.
“I’m fine,” Astrid replied with a sleepy sigh. Rolling over, she snuggled against her friend’s back. “I’ll just cuddle with you. If it’s okay.”
“Do I really have a choice?” Hiccup playfully squeezed Astrid’s hand as she draped an arm over him.
“You could’ve told your dad you wanted him to ask for two small beds instead of this big one, but you said you were fine sharing.”
“I like sharing with you.” Hiccup closed his eyes. “At least, I like sharing with you when you’re not talking my ears off while I’m exhausted.”
“Shut up.” She gently punched his bicep.
“I could say the same to you,” teased Hiccup.
“Gods, I hate you so much,” Astrid mumbled, tightening her arms around Hiccup’s middle and burying her nose in his shoulder.
“Mmm-hmm, that’s why you’re all over me right now.”
“Hey, I don’t have any other cuddle buddies, okay?”
A rap at the door interrupted their banter.
“Come in,” called Hiccup.
“I thought I heard you two still up,” Valka said as she entered the room. “I just wanted to say goodnight.” She shuffled over to the bed and kissed both Hiccup and Astrid on the forehead. “Sleep well, loves. And remember, your door needs to stay open. Just because we’re not at home doesn’t mean we don’t still have rules.”
“Got it,” yawned Hiccup.
“Good. Now, I’ll let you two get some rest.”
“Goodnight, Mom,” Hiccup said. “I love you.”
“I love you, too, dear. Dad and I will be right next door if either of you need anything.”
“Mmm-kay.” After Valka left, Hiccup turned his head to look at Astrid. “You alright?”
She nodded against his shoulder.
“Do you miss Berk?”
She nodded again.
“Me, too,” Hiccup yawned. “But we’ll have a good time here, even though you don’t like this hotel bed.” He said the last part teasingly.
“Are you making fun of your only friend?”
“Are you making fun of me for only having one friend?”
“I’m just kidding,” Astrid assured. “But you should join a club or something, get to know more people.”
Yawning again, Hiccup closed his eyes. “Yeah, right. I can join the nerdy book club that everyone laughs at,” he mumbled.
“Wait until high school this fall. New clubs, new people, new school. It’ll be a fresh start. For both of us.”
“Maybe,” Hiccup shrugged. “But Astrid?”
“Yeah?”
“Promise me we won’t stop being friends.”
The blonde wrapped her arms around him in a hug. “I promise.”
