the prophecy
The child not embraced by the village, will burn it down to feel its warmth.

tw; not proof read, grammar??
The village was on fire as a human stood in the middle, marvelling and gawking at the flames like they were waves. Sometimes they were higher than others, sometimes they were lower. He never really understood the human desire to burn, to destroy if being more precise.
Some screams were heard, some were crying. And here he could feel the warmth he had always longed for.
He let out a sigh, he finally felt the warmth he had always longed for. He could hear the distinct screaming of his name. He did not care about it, he ignored it.
"Spider!" A voice screamed, it was all too familiar and he grinned. Well aware, knowing whose voice it was.
The child not embraced by the village, will burn it down to feel its warmth.
That was a prophecy of Omaticaya. It was announced when Lo'ak was born. The time when he was barely a child, heck, was he even a child?
He never understood what those words meant, but now he did. He knew they meaning of those dam well.
"Spider!" The voice screamed again, louder this time.
He turned his back and a smile fluttered on his face. It was who he expected it to be. Lo'ak.
He was out of breath, panting and gasping for the precious air that he needed to survive. The home tree had been burnt again.
"We-we have to go-" He could barely made sense of what Lo'ak had uttered but he understood.
"No we don't." He hummed back, taking in the magnificent view in front of him, the awe struck gaze which lingered as he watched even more trees burn. Oh dear, he is feeling giddy now.
"What do you mean?" Now, Spider knew clearly that Lo'ak knew it was Spider who started this-
Chaos.
But he chose to refuse it. How, naive. "I won't go." He replied to him, almost as if it was obvious.
"You have to bro-"
"Lo'ak," Spider stated coldly, "till what time are you about to pretend that we both know it was I who had started the fire?"
To be frank he was starting to get annoyed with all this. With this conversation in particular.
He expected a remark from Lo'ak but was greeted with silence. "Why?" It was a bare whisper. He would have almost missed it if he did not pay attention.
"Never mind that. We will discuss all this when he get to father and mother, they will tell your punish-"
"I won't go Lo'ak. How many times will I tell you that?" Spider inquired, all he wanted was to stay in the forest.
"You have to!" Lo'ak raised his voice, it was not a scream but it was high pitched almost like a snarl.
"Oh, please, I have no interest in all that." Now, Lo'ak was usually a calm person (or so he described him to be) but his temper was boiling at this rate.
"You have to live-" At this point his voice was trembling, it was an emotion Spider could not decipher as to what it was.
"Says who?"
"Spider! I beg you to come with me, please. I will make sure that-"
And Spider could not help but roll his eyes. Lo'ak never stood up for him so what will he do now. The flames were getting even more hotter. It almost felt like he had descended into madness...or maybe he had always been this mad.
"Look at the view," Spider sang, "two friends fighting! Isn't it amazing?" He asked a dead audience.
"Please-"
He spun around to face him, a small sad smile on his face. "I have always been lonely Lo'ak," his voice was rather of sorrow and desperation of a child who wanted nothing but love, "and that's why I burnt down the whole village, to feel it's warmth." He finished and took a deep sigh.
"The love I always wanted, but oh how will you know that? You had always got what you wanted well not that much but still you got enough. While me? I did not have anything. So, tell me brother dearest, how am I supposed to not descend into madness?" He asked.
"You were never-" Lo'ak wanted to protest but knew that it did not have any meaning.
"I am just a stray cat, brother. Nothing, but a stray cat."
He did not bother letting him speak as he gently took his brother's hand in his as he showed him a spot. It had less fire compared to the rest of the forest. There was some greenery, some forest, something which was not burnt. It was for escaping. "Run," he said to Lo'ak gently. "run away, from here, save yourself and others from me."
...because the Spider is not only dangerous to himself but others too.

just not sleep (if you want to go the insomnia route)
sleep during the day in bright rooms
things people with insomnia do
first, obviously, their ability to remember things and their coordination will go out the window
its likely they’ll become irritable or overly emotional
their body will start to ache, shake, and weaken
hallucinate if it’s been long enough
