I'm thinking of fun crossover character interactions, and I feel like Zuko would be fun with both Deku and Shoto. Shoto for obvious reasons, and Deku bc I saw a crossover fic of them interacting and it was pretty good.

Zuko and Shoto are just the Spider-Man meme the whole time.

#I swear the only thing that's stopping me from yeeting an atla/bnha au is the fact that in atla you only get to bend one element #unless you're the avatar ofc but the main character has to be the avatar I can't give it to a secondary character #so I can't give shoto his canon combination #(I mean I also have some of the same issues re: AUs of some characters stories don't really work outside of a bnha context BUT)#(and also the fact that an atla au would have me kill all might)

Here’s a fun Au idea. An Avatar au. Where All-Might was the previous earthbending avatar (after Korra) and his death Izuku is the next firebending one. His firebending is so weak that many people just believe he just a non-bender, until Katsuki provoked him into the avatar state.

Here are some list of benders I think best fit the character

Ochaco- Airbender

Tsu- Water (foggy swamp)

Kirishima- Earth

Katsuki- Firebender (learning explosive)

Kaminari- fights with lightning (his family can actually control the output from simple shocks to actual bolts of lightning.)

Aizawa- Non bender chi-blocker

Todoroki- (you can have both fire and water so either twins, Enji attempt to make the next avatar, or firebender who fighting style is similar to water bending)

I love Avatar so this seems so much fun. Though I will be changing some things around a lil bit. I always imagine Izuku as either an earth or air bender but I can definitely see fire too.

- it has been fourteen years since Avatar Yagi passed away, but the white lotus have yet to find the next avatar.

- while fire nation is not nearly as vast as some of the other nations the task of finding Yagi's reincarnation as proven most difficult.

- there is a lord Enji who swears his youngest son is the avatar with his fire bending that mimics that of water bending and his love of the artic nations.

- there is a young prodigy of the Bakugou house who has mastered fire bending and is on the cusp of learning explosion.

- a powerful lightning bender for a family who all have minor affinity with lightning also fits the age range.

- but none of them are actually the Avatar...

- and at this point the white lotus fear that they may never find the true avatar, or at least not for a long time, which has happened before but is disheartening.

- but little did they know that this may be a blessing in disguise as there is a traitor in the white lotus who has a devious plan in motion and wishes to use and control the Avatar.

- far away from sight, hidden from the modern world and any fire nation city. Lives an ancient seemingly lost to the ages.

- the civilization of the sun warriors rest in peace away from the world outside, and thanks to the Avatar Korra once again flourishing with dragons.

- there lives a non bender named Inko who once left this tranquil home in a journey of self discovery and to bring back news of the rest of the world back to her people. Only to return pregnant.

- that was over fourteen years ago. Since then and she has not wished to leave the secluded heaven of her homeland. But she worries for her son Izuku.

- Izuku was born with no natural affinity with fire though he is so close to the original teachers of fire bending, however he has great spiritual affinity which is highly respected in the clan.

- but if that was all then Inko would have no need to worried, but when he goes out to soul search when he becomes overwhelmed with emotion for his lack of skill in fire bending she's seen him bend the wind.

- but Izuku has breathed fire... Just not in the way of the sun warriors. He knows all of the dances, all of the breath technics, all of the reasoning and spirituality behind it, but it only ignites when his emotions are volatile.

- Inko can see the signs, the sun warriors may have successfully isolated themselves from the world but they can see the signs that Izuku most likely is the Avatar.

- Inko brings her concerns to their chief and he confirms her fears. Which means that once the time comes Izuku may be forced to leave their homeland not only for their safety but so that Izuku can achieve peace himself.

- they decide to give Izuku the choice. They explain that Izuku may be different from the rest of the clan and the reason he cannot control his fire is because there is turmoil within him, that he may have to learn from the other nations and the world before he can find peace.

- only then would he be able to embrace the sun warrior methods and the teaching of the dragons.

- with his resolve set Izuku takes his partner animal, a white dragon named Yo and sets out for the air nation temples.

- Izuku thinks he's setting out on a spiritual journey, without knowing much about the Avatar or how that might affect him. Or how him keeping his skill in air bending will cause ripples in the world.

- he wishes to visit the air nation first being that it is the element closest to the spirits, which he has always been fascinated with.

- on this journey he will meet the great great granddaughter of a previous Avatar.

- learn that there's more to the world than what he previous thought there was.

- discover modern technology.

- help and grow alongside another troubled fire bender.

- and learn of a secret organization that wishes to manipulate him.

This isn’t my typical content but you can’t tell me that Todoroki wasn’t modelled after Zuko. Like come on, the stories are way too similar that there has to be some influence there

Evidence:

Both have scars on their left eye. It’s literally on the same eye guys

A parent is the one that burned their eyes

They both have severe mother complexes because of their absent mothers

Abusive dads

“Evil” and equally abused sibling(s)

Both are kind of royalty in a way. Like, Todoroki is the son of Japan’s #2 hero making him a prince-ish character in that regard and Zuko is just straight up a prince lmao
