Blessed Samhain!
Samhain happens on the 31st of October and marks the last harvest (which means the 3rd). It also celebrates the end of this year before we go into winter.
Samhain is considered as the end of the year for some witches. In fact, Samhain is the last sabbat on the wheel of the year!
Halloween's spookiness is not a random feeling: it is said that on the 31st, the veil between our world and the other is at its thinnest. That means that contacting spirits and passed loved ones will be easier! If you're sensitive to paranormal activity, you might get more ghostly visitors.
And since we are more in touch with the other world, divination tools might give more/clearer answers.
How to celebrate Samhain?
Orange, black, red and purple are really great colors for Samhain! Wear them, paint them on your nails, whatever you want to do!
Crystals for Samhain could be smoky quartz, obsidian, carnelian, bloodstone, onyx and amethyst. Of course, if you don't have any of them, don't panic! You can also wear/use crystals that have something to do with Samhain's colors, or just go with your guts! If you feel like wearing a crystal that has nothing to do with Samhain, go for it!
For food, think in-season veggies like squash, or soups. Apples and soul cakes are a great idea, but most importantly… PUMPKINS! Pumpkin bread, pumpkin muffin, pumpkin seeds, anything with pumpkin is a great idea!
I personnally made amazing pumpkin muffins that I bake every year with my mom, but also baked delicious pumpkin seeds and amazing soul cakes. I took this recipe from @halloween-pumpkin-queen and added wiccantips' and wiccancuisine's honey and butter mix on top of the cakes!
Activities
You can keep the pumpkin you used for recipes to carve it: it's a great activity for Samhain!
Any divination tool is also great! Get in touch with the other side (in safe ways!) and take some time to yourself to focus on more spiritual things instead of work, school, and other things that might suck out all our energy.
Putting yourself in the spooky mood, like watching Halloween movies, or going for a cozier view of it, with wine or cider and a nice blanket after going to take a walk outside.
Appreciate the autumn colors! They'll be gone soon
Think about all your loved ones who passed away (or ancestors you never met but respect). This is, afterall, the time of year when the veil between worlds is the thinnest.
Anyway, Blessed Samhain everyone! Stay safe and enjoy the end of this spooky, but beautiful month

I’m trying to get back into my craft. It’s been tough. I’ve set up my easel and stare at the blank canvas wondering if I can still connect with Him. I bake in hopes of finding Her there. I try to remember the teachings and understand that to build the life I want can be painful but is worth it. But I feel unseen, constantly scolded, and unappreciated. I have to remember that everything I do may go unnoticed here.. but does not go unnoticed to Them.
