Old study notes from 2016 (wow… almost 7 years ago)

The lowest point of my life when I was studying for the GCE A Level examinations in Singapore. I joke that’s it my depression era (coming from an Asian family who don’t prioritize mental health) but looking back it was seriously frightening.

Dug these old photos because back then I didn’t score the best but I made it to university. Didn’t graduate at the top of my cohort but I found a great job. People always say that you’ll find a way in life and I never quite believed them but after 7 years, I do now.

YOU WILL FIND YOUR WAY IN LIFE EVENTUALLY.

Because I did! Sorta. No one can tell you how to live your life except yourself, not even your parents or your teachers. Live your best life and listen to your heart because eventually, everything will work out ♥️

day 8 of 100 days of productivity! 1/22/24 i was actually quite productive today even though it was a low energy day for me

✿ 8am yoga - took it slow today bc of my low energy/mild pain ✿ did one hour of work accountability with a friend - bumped an email to some instructors about work i need to finish - schedule sent an email for my club - mentally prepared for my research meeting later ✿ went to the library to use a text for some outstanding classwork - accidentally took a nap, but it was a good nap - actually got a problem done for this class! - i've been struggling with motivation for this class specifically so im really pleased by this ✿ had a meeting with a postdoc on my research - it was really helpful and i know exactly what i need to do now - worked on my research for a bit after the meeting as well

been kinda just chillin since then, got co-op dinner and now burning a candle as i wind down with a cup of chamomile & a little chocolate :)

#also this is kinda irrelevant but im going back to being gf bc ive been physically suffering recently and oof #huge s/o to my celiac/intolerant siblings yall are so strong #(im gluten sensitive but usually just eat it out of convienience/taste) #my intolerance to it kind of builds up over time #hence recently reaching a tipping point #but its always so hard to restart the gf diet #anyways... #student life #studyblr #study #study blog #studying #studyspo #student #college #university #productivity #100 days of productivity #100dop #100 dop #productivity challenge #productive
