i can't tell if these are good ideas

Dick: Teen Beach Movie AU where Birdflash get transported into a 1960s musical and accidentally alter the plot, so they have to race against the clock to 1) get the movie's couple back together and 2) find a way back to the real world

Jason: college AU where seniors Jason, Roy, Kory, and Kyle go on a road trip for their final spring break and check off everything on their childhood bucket lists while facing the reality of what's gonna happen after they graduate

Tim: another college AU where someone gives Kon a fake number at a bar that turns out to be Tim's and they strike up a deal where they keep each other company over text on the condition that they don't reveal their identities; at the same time, they are long-standing art school rivals who got paired together for their final project

Damian: family-friendly whodunit mystery where Selina's engagement ring goes missing at a party, so Damian and Jon take it upon themselves to interrogate everyone and uncover the culprit, who turns out to be closer than they think

Duke: multiverse AU set during We Are Robin where the Robins of different continuities converge in Duke's Gotham, and they have to work together to get past their stark personality contrasts in order to defeat a common enemy

Cullen: side story where, against his sister's wishes and behind her back, Cullen suits up with his own vigilante persona and pursues a smuggling case operating out of his favorite DVD store that takes him beyond his comfort zone of the Gotham city limits

Stephanie: lawyer AU where Steph is the newest recruit at a law firm and her first case is a seemingly straightforward lawsuit until she finds bizarre evidence, unknowingly makes enemies, and wonders if she's fighting for the right side at all

Cassandra: one-room thriller where Cass takes the Gotham subways late at night and winds up at a station that she's never heard of with no exit, no cell service, and something lurking inside the tunnels

Barbara: chat log/computer programming–style story where Babs antagonizes the wrong person online and places a target on the backs of herself and everyone she loves, so she must outmaneuver the anonymous user before they can make good on their threat

Harper: canon-divergent fic where Harper discovers an underground fight ring run by washed-up and wannabe Gotham vigilantes who offer to help train her skills in ways the batfamily can't, but when she takes the offer, she starts to question what is the cost of reaching her potential

Carrie: soft fantasy AU where Carrie and her fellow Girl Scouts discover a baby mythological creature in the woods without its family around, so they work together to figure out how to take care of it without tipping off their troop leaders

Kate: classic batfam mission where Kate and Bruce make a bet to see who can solve their latest case first, but she realizes that their friendly rivalry might be the exact thing putting them in jeopardy

Alfred: Marvel crossover where he and Peggy Carter come out of retirement to track down an international art thief, only to uncover a more sinister plot involving their past allies

Selina: Midnight Library-ish concept where Selina gets an opportunity to explore all the what-ifs of her life and undo her past regrets, but the difficult decision is whether or not she wants to make those changes permanent

Bruce: Turner and Hooch AU in the early Batman days where Bruce takes in a stray dog off the streets because it's an integral piece to his latest mission, but Alfred's out of town and Bruce doesn't know the first thing about caring for a living creature, let alone one as uncooperative as an untrained Ace

yeah so tim snaps one day and decides he hates pretending to be a capitalist all day and clones himself to force the clone to do all the busy work (as you do) and also partly because he never got to make a successful clone that one time with kon and so he does it and it works but turns out his clone also doesnt want to do that shit so he makes another clone and guess what fucking happens. guess. so now theres three tims running around and cass tam and bruce are starting to get suspicious and tim gets the sinking feeling like the pursuit of scientific knowlege has led him astray yet again

so he asks kon for help and instead of offering literally anything fucking useful he just gets really quiet and in his feels about whether tim considers clones people or not which is certainly a fascinating philosophical question for literally any other time cuz now dick and steph are getting sus and duke’s been shooting him weird looks and yeah dude i know you werent conceived by normal methods but im 100% sure clark and lex only call you a clone because it would be really awkward to have to address the UST between them this far into their rivalry… yeah dude a clone thats half of two people is just a kid. sorry you had to find out this way

not to mention tim has a pesky moral crisis because turns out when you clone yourself you pass on your genetic disposition for depression but hes only got enough meds for one (and theyre going to the original, i dont care if you didnt ask to be made, tim 2 i dont give a SHIT) so all him clones end up doing is lying around begging for death (which is a lot more unnerving in the 3rd person) and he kinda feels bad but hes not sure whether or not hes allowed to kill the clones

anyway dick and cass finally catch him in the act and after many, many lectures (dick) and jokes (both of them) and sparring sessions (no, not even three tims can take down cass, can we please focus on the problem at fucking hand here??) they help him get rid of the clones (finally) but the whole thing is STILL not over because when theyre reverting the clones back to their original biomatter tim went (like an idiot) ”it hurts to see others living out your dreams” and now dick is Concerned and when jason comes back to gotham from whereverthefuck cass tells him all about it and he laughs for a day straight and permanently changes tims name in his phone to dr. frankenstein

and then it turns out damian knew about the whole goddamned thing from the jump and blabs to bruce about it because divine intervention nor the promise of blackmail will stop damian from being a little shit

Hi! Just wanted to say I absolutely adore your writing for both hq and atfo, especially the characterisations and the way the plot threads intertwine with the different overall emotional arcs and lessons each story has! Oikawa and Dick are both my favourite characters from their respective fandoms too, so when I found your work it made my week! I also just wanted to ask if you had any headcanons or ideas on what would happen if the atfo l versions of the DC characters met the Canon versions? Because they’ve grown up so much and are so different yet the same - especially since Batfam is so much healthier in your fic (sorry Bruce) I imagine there’d be some very complicated emotions. If you don’t have any headcanons no pressure I was just curious! Stay safe and thank you for your work! :)

Also....yep, I think about it A LOT what would happen if the ATFO batfam met the comic canon (or any canon tbh) batfam.

It's kinda funny since Dick is truly the only one who knew Bruce but because Bruce died when he was so young (when they truly were the Dynamic Duo), Dick never got what was some of the most important part of his character development as a teenager of seeing Bruce's flaws and rebelling against them to be his own person. Ironically, Bruce has become his untouchable golden image where the idea of "the Golden Boy" Dick Grayson has a completely different meaning for the rest of the batfam.

For Jason and Tim (and later Damian and even a bit Barbara), unlike their canon counterparts, they were trained specifically by Dick and (for the Robins) were largely raised by them. He's not some untouchable standard just their older brother who they love but are aware in many ways that he has flaws....I still think they probably think of him as a bit invincible just because, well, he's their older brother who's really, really bad at letting anyone see when he's hurting. Also having Dick raise them instead of Bruce gives them a very different image of what Robin should be. Dick is always super encouraging that they should be their own version of Robin, not copy him. He views "Robin" as more of a broad term meaning family rather than a mantle to be emulated.

Also, since it's Dick who is very much also about cultivating friendships (and less about keeping identity away from friends), Jason and Tim have cultivated a lot closer relationships with the Titans. That's helped them a lot with emotional growth.

If canon batfam met this family...wow...

1.) ATFO!Jason and Canon!Jason would could along the least and would be most honestly disturbed by each other's POV. Canon!Jay calls Dick "Golden Boy" or implies it even worse, ATFO!Jay "Ugh, groan, can you never do that again! He'll get a big head. He's a complete human disaster, have you met him? He can't even cook?!". Meanwhile, ATFO!Jason who has been much more trained on publicity leadership tactics since...well, Dick's had to handle that a lot more with the JLA....sees Canon!Jason being a rebel badass and first thinks his counterpart is just ridiculously shortsighted and then when he figures out he's for real. "...why? What do you mean you actually shot Tim in the leg? Like you legit tried to kill them?!" At this point, ATFO!Jason has labeled his counterpart as psychotic because wtf, Tim might be an annoying nerd but that's his little brother, thank you!

2.)ATFO!Tim and Canon!Tim get along the best. Canon!Tim is sad his counterpart missed out on Kon. ATFO!Tim is more than sightly freaked out "....I'm sorry, how many people died in your life? What happened to your spleen?!?!"

CanonTim: So, Jason seems less murdery here what's up with that

ATFOTim, w/ actual healthy Sibling Rivalry (TM):.....listen, I'm trying real hard not to take that as a challenge...

3.) Canon!Dick probably has the most understanding of his ATFO counterpart and would mostly feel just deeply sympathetic towards him along with a bittersweet kind of wistuflness that ATFO!Dick seems to have gotten a much better relationship with his younger brothers even though the cost was so steep. He definitely recognizes ATFO!Dick's more idealized version of Bruce but also recognizes he can't fix that.

4.) Then, it gets out that the Joker's legit dead in ATFO world and Canon!Jason freaks out. Meanwhile, gets mentioned Jason legit died in Canon world and ATFO!everyone freaks out.

....Canon!Babs is wondering where the rest of her batgirl crew is at.

You know what would be funny? If there was a fic where all of the bat kids were Bruce's biologically with one of his love interest. But like a different one.

Like we know Damian is Thalia's, but maybe Jason is Diana's.

Let Bruce have a kid with every love interest or person we all ship him with and have all the bat kids be half siblings.

But who would the other parents of the other kids be? I'm split between Dick being Selina's kid or Clark's through some lab thing like Kon. But there is Helena that is Selina's and Bruce's kid. But Tim could also fit as Selina's kid.

And what about Cass, Duke, and fuck it let's add Stephanie, Carrie, Terry, and Matthew (Terry's little brother). Although I and I've seen others headcanon Terry and Matt as Bruce and Selina's kids when you take out Wallers interfering.

And yeah two or more could have the same mom but I think it would be more funny for them to have different mothers (Terry and Matt being the exception). Because #1. it would play to Bruce being a playboy who sleeps around and the consequences of that are now in the form of a kid. Though he doesn't mind cuz he loves kids even if he didn't know he loves kids.

#2. Bruce has a lot of love interest or people we all love to ship him with so everyone got to be with him and now have a kid with him. It would also be interesting to see what their relationship would be now that they have to co parent (if the mother's want to be involved in the kids life), like would they be friends, fall out of love with Bruce, or are trying to get back with him and competing with the other moms (bonus if Bruce has no idea they are competing cuz he's more focused on being a dad).

#3. Having the kids be half siblings would bring the whole 'my mother's better than yours' rivalry. Like for some it would be a fun game for others (Damian) it would be an actual competition. And the diversity, the difference in cultures, and just how different each kid would be because of their mothers influence. And the fact that even though they are different, they have the same father and act like him. It's always pointed out how much like Bruce they are in canon now imagine them being different cuz of their mothers to the point that it's hard to believe they are even related until they act like Bruce and everyone's like 'now I see the resemblance'.

#4. It would just be funny trying to see how they work being a family with so many people.

Idk I think it's a funny and cool idea.

May I introduce the Tumblr DC community to one of my two favorite Batfam AUs I have created. Bruce Wayne owns a hotel/museum near an ocean cliff and still has a chronic adoption problem but doesn’t fight crime. (If anyone writes this you can make it to where heroes still exist, the Batfam are the inly no capes)

WE still exists but it isn’t run by Bruce it is run by Lucius because back in the 60s Thomas and Martha bought the hotel and wanted that to be their legacy. They still die the same way but Bruce puts all his efforts into running and blossoming the hotel which was his parent’s dream project.

I’ll get back into the hotel in a minute I’m taking about the kids now

Dick is gotten a similar way, he visits the Cape with Haly’s Circus, his parents die because of faulty wiring sold to the circus by Zucco and Dick becomes an orphan. Bruce just so happened to use his one night off in a while to go see the circus. He keeps thinking about Dick and ends up adopting him. He helps Dick and the Circus bring Zucco to justice and sues the hell out of him and shuts down his business. (Adopted at 8))

Jason was found living in one of the shut down rooms of the hotel. Because his dad left and was in prison and his mom od. So Bruce treats him like a wild animal and starts to leave food out on a regular schedule until Jason gets comfortable with him and he adopts Jason. (five years younger than Dick)

Tim was the son of two wealthy archaeologists who were gone 11 out of the 12 months. Bruce met Tim because he liked to come into the museum and take pictures of the museum exhibits and hotel architecture and shoreline which he would develop and give copies to Bruce. So he opens his house to this little boy with a penchant for photography. Until one day Tim’e parents call Tim telling him that they are staying in Egypt permanently because the archeological dig is producing wonderous results and they’ll be hiring him an around the clock sitter. Only for Tim to wait three weeks and no one shows up. They went so far as to fire Ms. Mac but never hired a sitter for their son. So he goes to Bruce in tears and explains everything, because this is it-his parents finally did abandon him, and Bruce sues them for custody of Tim. (Three years younger than Jason, adopted at 7)

Damian was the result of a relationship Bruce had in college while studying hotel management and hospitality. Talia is the daughter of a hotel conglomerate owner who is currently trying to buy Bruce’s hotel so it can be torn down and Ra’s can built a new hyper expensive hotel in its place. Damian was sent to live with Bruce to try and get Bruce to have Damian inherit the hotel so Ra’s can get it and destroy it, but that backfired because instead Damian falls in love with the hotel and his new family (reluctantly) and wants to see the hotel and museum flourish, not tear down this historical piece of architecture to replace it with a soulless hotel only available to the wealthy elite. But something available to everyone that families vacation to because there is so much history and beauty in a thing that has stood for centuries. So Damian turns against Ra’s. Due not that while Damian and Tim do have a sibling rivalry it is not as vicious and cutting as it is in canon. They love each other they just don’t mesh well while in the same room. And yes, Damian still has his variety of pets (7 years younger than Tim)

Cass came to the hotel with her “father,” David Cain, who went to the Cape for business, and just ended up leaving and forgetting Cass at the hotel. He was still abusive and Cass had trouble speaking but he wasn’t “turn Cass into the world’s greatest assassin” abusive. After Bruce finds Cass, he sues Cain for parental custody and then ruins his life unrepentantly. (Couple of months older than Jason)

After Martha and Thomas died, Alfred took over managing the hotel while Bruce was still growing up and while he was getting his degrees, now he is the grandfather to Bruce’s many kids and helps to keep them running and cared for while they run and care for the hotel. He’s also the one that helps the new kids transfer into the life of running a hotel.

Barbara is the daughter of the Police Comissioner still who became friends with Dick and works, first part time at the museum/hotel and then full time. Same with Steph and Tim (1 year older than Dick)

Cullen and Harper work at the museum, Helena works at the hotel. Carrie does both. Duke is the newest acquisition. Only, his parents disappeared and no one has been able to find them yet. So Bruce currently had temporary custody of Duke who lives at the hotel with everyone. (Harper is a year older than Tim, Cullen is a year younger than Tim, Carrie is the same age as Jason, Duke is a few months younger than Tim)

Each person has different jobs. (Dick is concierge/check-in, Jason does guided history tours of the hotel/museum/grounds, Tim works in financials because he deals with the least amount of people, Helena, Carrie and Steph are both maids, Carrie also does janitorial stuff with Cullen, Barbara works hotel check-in with Dick, Barbara and Harper work cashier at the gift shop, Duke doesn’t have a job yet because he is still dealing with the disappearance of his parents, Damian does every job to see where he fits in best.

JARRO IS THE FAMILY PET STARFISH THAT TIM ADOPTED WHEN HE FIRST JOINED THE FAMILY AND RESCUED FROM BEING EATEN OFF THE BEACH

The hotel is still fully staffed with not-batkids, like grounds keepers and other hotel cleaners and janitors.

Location time!

I’m turning Gotham nicer and changing the geography of the city.

The hotel Museum rests about 200 yds from a cliff that overlooks a beach. There is a well maintained stair case put into the cliff for people to walk down, as well as a longer gravel path that follows the cliff edge down to the shoreline. It is frequented by seals, sea lions, and in the distance, dolphins and whales. The hotel it’s self has about 100 or so acres of land and a long drive but it is technically within walking distance to the city. And it’s a normal coastal town with a port and touristic areas. Kinda eerie at night when the fog rolls in but that’s part of the charm of the NorthEast.

Selina is just Bruce’s friend in this. She is Helena’s mother and Bruce was a surrogate for her. She decided she wanted a baby and Bruce offered to be a donor. So Selina had Helena and Bruce is part of her life but not as her dad, which was the agreement. Selina takes care of the stray animals on the grounds and favors the cats.

Clark is a reporter that was tasked to right an article on the hotel and it’s history, became good friends with Bruce and brings his family (Lois, Jon, Bizarro, Kon, Kara, Lena, Chris, Ma, Pa, and Lex) on vacation to it every year. Lex and Clark are divorced husbands that left on good terms and are friendly enough to coparent their son, Connor, who was made the same way as canon but less hush hush and illegally, Kara is Clark’s cousin and Lena is her fiancée, Lois is his wife, Jon and Bizarro are their two biological sons (Bizarro has autism), Chris is their foster son. Bizarro latches onto Jason in a way that he hasn’t before and always loves coming to the hotel, Jon and Chris are best friends with Damian, Connor and Tim are long distance dating.

Collin, Maya, and Maps are Damian’s best friends from school (Damian has a crush on Collin) and he’s trying to convince them to join the hotel staff like his siblings’ friends but they are a) too young and b) not interested.

Roy has all of his problems as in canon and gets help for it, so as a way to try and bring the family closer, Oliver and Dinah arrange a vacation to the hotel for them Roy and Lian. As a stepping stone kind of thing. Get away from daily stress. Roy is resistant at first until he and Jason hit it off and start talking and Jason talks sense into him and they strike up a friendship turned romance.

The Flashfam visit the museum diring a countrywide roadtrip and mad the stop because Bart is a history buff and wouldn’t stop talking about it the entire trip. He becomes fast friends with Tim and is the only person to ever get a Tim Wayne history tour. No matter what Kon tells you he is super salty about it. Wally and Dick were internet friends and used the roadtrip as a way to be able to meet up.

Thad is the obligatory complainer who doesn’t want to stay in a musty old hotel.

Ivy is the main grounds keeper and is in charge of the native wildlife sanctuary most of the land is used for, as well as taking care of the native plantlife and lives in town with her girlfriend, Harley. Harley helps the kids prank Bruce.

Harley is a children’s psychiatrist hired by Bruce to help the kids deal with their various traumas. Her coming to the hotel for sessions is how she and Ivy met.

They started dating between Dick and Jason and Dick talks up each of them to the other, but each individual kid that comes in think they’d be cute together (since they are both professional while working there isn’t immediate proof that they are dating. But they will flirt with each other if they see each other) and it’s basically a right if passage to try and convince their siblings to help them get together and then try and set them up on their own and find out the hard way that they’re already together. They love seeing all the different way the kids try and set them up. They tend to go along with it until either the kids realise or they take pity on them.

Their favorite was Damian’s where he set up an entire romantic dinner at the hotel restaurant and Dick managed to slyly convince him to set it on a certain day that turned out to be Harley and Ivy’s anniversary.

Alfred is the head chef for the hotel, making room service meals and the breakfast buffet line up. Jason will help him out if he isn’t busy with other things.

Victor Fries and his wife hold an ice cream social ever summer at the hotel with all the ice cream flavors they came up with over the last year.

Edward Nygma, famous escape room designer, is hired to make an escape room themed on the hotel and museum that is built on the grounds near the main building.

Another ritual that starts, begins with Tim, where the older siblings convince the newest one that the hotel is haunted and Jason takes them on a “haunted ghost tour” of the abandoned part of the hotel (the part that is too dilapidated and run down to remodel safely) while the others are stationed at different parts of the hotel and grounds to run whatever scenario to scare the new kid. The only one that hasn’t been done to is Cass because even after several years she still jumps a little too hard at loud noises. But one time Jason accident closed a door a little too harshly while Cass and Tim were doing something and it caused her to jump so hard she knocked over Tim and started crying. They were contemplating whether she was strong enough to do it or not and that cemented that she wasn’t.

Tim and Cass are nearly inseparable and are commonly referred to as the Wayne Twins. For Halloween they decided to go as each other.

Oh nice! Alright I'll explain:

So the AU starts With Tim and his friends in Tim's parent's ghost hunting basement, Because Bruce and Talia are Jack and Maddie. So similar to in cannon Bart, Cassie, and Kon try to convince Tim to go into the ghost portal, only in this AU Bart, Cassie and Kon go in instead (Tim is too worried about breaking it because he knows it means a lot to Bruce). When those three are getting ghost powers Tim tries to get them out so he is also affected just not to the same degree. Each of them gets a power to start and they are as follows:

Cassie: Ghost beams Kon: Flight Bart: Intangibility Tim: gets the ghost sense only well the ghost sense and his own unique power of being able to temporarily turn ghosts human again. Tim also cannot go ghost

Cissie fills the role of Sam and Tucker as "Sassy completely human friend without powers who knows" because I LOVE HER

Greta is the team's ghost bestie, she gets a little obsessed with Tim after Tim starts showing that he can temporarily turn her human, but she gets better.

Jazz is filled by both Cass and Steph, Cass realizes something is up with Tim and gets Steph to help her figure out what's up with her brother.

Dick and Damian are also Tim's siblings! Dick doesn't find out about Tim being one of the phantoms for a very long time, he's just glad that Tim is spending more time hanging out with his friends. Damian finds out after Cass but before Dick because he was suspicious of the phantoms and investigating them. Him and Tim still bicker and eventually develop a rivalry but they're closer than in cannon.

Now Jason, Jason is a ghost. a dead ghost. feel bad now? /ref anyway yeah Jay died shortly before Bruce started fostering Tim and is a big reason Bruce got so deep into the ghost research, he wants to know if he can contact his son. Jason is of course an angst ghost and fights with the phantoms initially but eventually makes up with his family because I need some fluff goddamn it.

Anita my beloved is next, she takes the place of Valarie. So her motivations are slightly different: in this her parents die in a ghost attack where the phantoms are present so she sees them as just as bad as the other ghosts (of course until she gets to know them and realizes they're on the same side) Also Slobo is a ghost and the first ghost she befriends

Thad is Danni because I love Thad so much- and also you can never go wrong with more flashfam. Ra's would have cloned Tim however because Tim is a "defective" Halfa he gets DNA from whichever other phantom he can access and that happens to be Bart! So yeah love Thad love Thad

Now that I've mentioned Ra's, it's pretty obvious that I've made him take the place of Vlad. Ra's wants Talia back from Bruce in a possessive parent way not a romance way obviously and he's initially most interested in Damian out of his grandkids, he wants to see if being a halfa is at all genetic. Much to his surprise it turns out Bruce's newest adopted kid Tim is the one who's a halfa, along with Tim's obnoxious friends. So he tries to make Tim his apprentice and Tim says no. Ra's later tries to make Damian Tim's rival but they make up instead and get closer hah!

Ok I have wayyyy more to say about this but I'm running out of steam. lmk if you want to hear about any specific YJ-centric characters because I probably have ideas for them!

There were few things Tim Drake loved more than flying through the Gotham night sky as Robin and even though he was no longer Robin, something that still left a deep ache he refused to let the loss of Robin take away his wings and he was finally finding his place soaring as Red Robin.

Gotham was once a place that Tim called home. Once he thought he had found a family but the feeling of home and family were nothing but seemed in the distant past.

No longer could he call Wayne Manor or the Penthouse home. Nor could he call the other Bat's family.

He had realized that the hard way that he no longer belonged or he had never really been a part of the Wayne family.

Tim could feel himself on the edge there was only so much more he could take from Damian, only his team, Cassandra and surprisingly Helena saw how much the abuse was getting to him and the fact that he was just to turn the other cheek was slowly breaking him.

None of them could understand why the adults in Damian's life never once thought to take him aside and explain why he can't treat Tim the way he does. Not one of them set bounders for him. They reprimanded Tim because as the older of the two he should know better. And it was getting to the point that even Raven and Gar, who Tim didn't want them to get involved due to their strong bond with Dick, were reaching their breaking point. Several times they had to stop Raven from tossing the Bat-family into a hell dimension in their underwear.

Helena, Conner and Bart had been all for that idea and it was only because Tim begged her not to did Raven back down.

"If they keep placing the blame on you for Damian's actions I will do it," Raven warned, her normally warm eyes blazing with rage. Raven's vow whispered through Tim's mind.

No, shoving those thoughts to the back of his head Tim lost himself in something he loved.

Tim loved flying between the buildings it was one of his favourite things as a hero. His grapple line gave him a sense of freedom.

Freedom from the tension in the cave.

Freedom from the feeling that he didn't belong in the cave.

Freedom that he had lost a second family.

Then he heard it, something that shouldn't be happening not with a Bat-approved grapple the snapping of his line.

Tim only had seconds to hear the snap before he was falling. "Conner!" He knew that he could count on him, his best friend who kept his promise that he would always be listening to his heartbeat.

But deep in his heart, he knew that it was going to be too late. 'Please Conner don't blame yourself.' Tim pleaded before darkness claimed him.

The pure terror in Tim's voice will haunt Conner 'Kon' Kent for the rest of his days as will his guilt for being a second too late in catching Tim. Looking at the broken boy of his best friend Conner felt like his heart had been ripped out of his chest.

Pressing his comm to the rest of the Titans, "Guys you need to get to Gotham." Conner didn't care that his voice wobbled there was no way that he could stay strong or even pretend that everything was alright, nothing would be alright after this.

"Dude, what is wrong Conner? You are scaring me here." Bart's worried voice came over the line. It wasn't often that Conner would suggest that they break Batman's no meta in Gotham's rule. There was only one reason he would do so.

Bart's worse fears were confirmed when Conner whispered, "It's Tim, he's hurt badly."

Only the movement of his hair alerted Conner to Bart's arrival.

"Oh god." Bart felt like he was going to be sick at the sight he arrived at, he and the others had always been protective over Tim as he was the only human on their team but the one time he truly needed them and they failed him.

"I'm going to kill whoever did this." Bart snarled out, Tim was family and he would do everything in his power to keep those he loves safe.

"First we need to get Tim's help." Whoever did this will pay but getting Tim's aid comes first.

It was no secret among the Bat-family that there was a rivalry between the two youngest sons Timothy Drake-Wayne and Damian Wayne.

Richard "Dick" Grayson had hoped that they would grow out of it, he couldn't understand why Tim couldn't see that as being Damian's older brother he was to not let Damian's words get to him. Damian had come from the League of Assassins and his abusive upbringing was all he knew. Of course, he was going to lash out and Tim to Damian was an easy target.

Tonight Tim had let Damian get to him once again and stormed out of the cave, Dick only hoped that when he returned he was willing to apologize to Damian.

Jason Todd was fighting the urge to slam some heads together and at the top of his list is Dickie and the smug brat Damian. He had heard from Cass and Helena that things were pretty bad when it came to Tim and Damian and how Damian was allowed to get away with everything while Tim took the blame.

Yeah, he had tried to kill the kid, something that Jason hasn't forgiven himself for. He had allowed Talia to twist him up and he took it out on the one person who didn't deserve his rage. Tim might have forgiven him but he did and Dick sure as hell didn't. So he couldn't understand why Dick was allowing the demon brat to emotionally, verbally and physically abuse Tim and stay silent when he saw it first hand or got angry when Tim defended himself.

'For someone who claims to love family, he sure has proven that he can only love one brother at a time.' Jason felt for Tim. He was trying to be there for Tim but it was a work in progress.

It just baffled him and pissed him off that Bruce, Dick, Alfred, Stephanie and Barbara never once questioned why they allowed Damian to get away with treating Tim like he was trash. Why they never spoke up when Damian time after time told Tim that he wasn't wanted, that he wasn't part of the family. Why Damian sought to kill Tim and only Tim. Jason just hoped that they would wake up before it was too late.

It turned out it was too late.

For all of his skills, Damian found he couldn't move as the speedster kept him pinned to the wall, one hand wrapped around his throat the other vibrating right above his heart, "One wrong move and I vibrate my hand through your chest and into your heart." Bart Allen hissed, his happy-go-lucky personality replaced by a hardened man with no mercy left.

Damian refused to show any fear for that was a sign of weakness and he was anything but weak.

No help was coming as Cassie Sandsmark had Stephanie wrapped up in her lasso, she looked every inch of the Amazonian warrior she is.

Richard had his hands full with an enraged Superboy who was out for pure blood and Raven along with Huntress were keeping his father and Todd busy.

'I always knew that she was not to be trusted.' Damian thought bitterly at the betrayal from someone that was supposed to be one of their own. "I have no idea what you want but I suggest that you let me go and vacate the cave as well as Gotham and I might not seek revenge."

Bart's eyes burned with untamed rage, "Of course you would threaten violence for all the claims that you have changed you still fall back on old habits and isn't hurting Tim tonight enough for you? Or do you wish to stain your hands with blood some more?" Bart hissed at him.

Dick who was close enough to hear was confused, "What happened to Timmy?"

"Don't act like you don't know! You let this happen!" Conner snarled as he felt his eyes heating up and oh how he wanted nothing more than to unleash his heat beam on those who had harmed his Tim.

"Conner, I need you to calm down. I'm sure that Damian didn't mean for this to happen." Dick pleaded he needed to make Conner as well as himself believe that was true that Damian hadn't meant to hurt Tim. "I'm sure if we could talk to Tim we can clear this all up."

"Lies!" Conner hissed out, "This isn't the first time that little demon has tried to kill Tim and because he was never told by you Bruce or Alfred that killing Tim was wrong he found it acceptable and kept trying and now he has succeeded in seriously harming Tim. You are to blame as much as he is because you never took the time to explain that Tim is very much as a family as he is and Tim has the right to feel safe in his own home! Tim is fighting for his life right now because none of you had the balls to tell that demon spawn that killing is wrong!"

Damian froze a flicker of fear as Conner's words vibrated around the cave and all moment stopped.

Dick was sure that for a second his heart had stopped beating, "What do you mean?"

"I mean that Tim screamed my name as he fell knowing that I would always be listening for him if he needed me. I found my best friend's broken body laying on the ground. Bart found the cut zip line and Helena got Vic to look at the footage and what he found proved all of our fears Damian cut Tim's line, he fell because of him!"

Cassandra Cain was torn, she loved her family but Tim, Tim was special he was her little brother, her little bird, the one who never gave up on her and the first one to trust her.

"Hurt brother. Cannot forgive. Cannot trust. " It hurt Cass to say those words but she knew deep in her heart it was true.

Nodding his head Jason crossed his arms over his chest, "I agree with princess here. I knew this family was messed up but hell letting me then the demon spawn tries and kill replacement without consciences is a new low. At least I did my best to make amends with Timmy, and for some reason, he found it in his heart to forgive me."

"You were his big brother, the first one to believe in him and you turned your back on him." It was Helena's words that cut Dick to the core.

"Don't bother looking for Tim, he is somewhere safe and you will never see him again," Conner growled. Bart and Cassie stood united with him. They had once seen a future where they turned dark, where they crossed lines and for Tim, they were willing to do that now.

If it meant taking on Batman, his family and the whole Justice League they would do so in a heartbeat to keep Tim safe.

Do you have any more ideas for your core four high school au? I can see them as being the friendship group nobody expected. Like very different people all together and they actually get along great. They’re seen eating lunch together, even seen sometimes after school chatting. Everyone else is confused but this group would defend each other to the end of the earth. Also I live your art, you’re amazing!

-literally Nobody knows how these people met it makes zero sense but these four are inseparable. like you will not see one of them without at least one other member of the group with them

-kon has a bad boy reputation but he didn’t really do anything to earn it lmao, he’s just tall and wears a leather jacket even if it’s like 90 out. he lives w ma and pa but goes to visit clark/lois/jon on weekends (i think i saw that in a fic??? i don’t remember oops)

-tim is known throughout the school as being the rich Wayne kid so people kinda assume he’s pretentious and cold but he’s kinda just shy!! not really good at socializing thanks to the drakes. sticks with cass, duke and steph most of the time at first bc he only really knew them but he found his friends eventually :) dick and jason love to pick him up from school and embarrass him

-cassie is just gonna be a liddle bit of self projecting bc i can so here we go!!!! plays softball, is kinda sweet and dorky and has a few friends but not very popular. is super good at speaking/advocating for stuff so teachers really like her,, can be a little bossy but she just wants to bring out the best of people. she and her mom are both really stubborn and fight a lot but she loves her :)

-barts like the class clown that actually isn’t an asshole and he’s literally loved by the whole school,,, he’s a sweetheart and funny and maybe a little bit of a dumbass. he can never focus on one thing and usually bounces around between extracurriculars but track is the one constant, it keeps him grounded!! lives w max, his mom gave him up when he was a baby but she visits sometimes

Jason: Kills three or more people every round but somehow no one sees him do it. Kill sprees are his favorite.

Tim: Suspicous of everything and everyone, even if he's the imposter. always has crazy assumptions that somehow are right. Only likes to do tasks if he's alone in a room. Has a kill spree rivalry with Jason. (plays with Kon, Bart and Cass most of the time tho)

Bruce: No idea how the Hell to play. Forgets to mute himself when he's saying stuff like "Oh I'm imposter". Tasks? What tasks? He just follows whoever he thinks he can trust. Most of the time he picks the right person to tail cause they never kill him. Jason targets him first every time.

Some fanfic spoilers for interested

Hi, with things going on in the world and in my life I wasn’t really up to writing lately that much (and WIPs won’t stop haunting me). Anyway, thought I would share some random things I planned to implement in one of my fanfics, “Love And Marriage”. For those who don’t know this, it’s basically timkon married!AU, with no one main plot, but rather bunch of stand alone scenes and stories in Tim’s and Conner’s married life.

Anyway, under the cut is bunch of headcanons and weird little things I was thinking on including in this fic. Why am I listing those at all? Because I’m bored, that’s why.

Kon has lots of piercings. The amount and places is still not specified, but Conner Kon-El “I can look better with jewelry than you, Anita” Kent likes his piercings and Tim is happy to buy him what he likes.

Tim may know what to buy Conner jewelry-wise for gala or something, but for more casual look he refers to Anita and Bart.

and also to the second older Tim that somehow landed in this universe (and not really planning to go back), who’s also the owner of jewelry shop the married!Tim secretly shops in for gifts for his husband.

other-universe!Tim wasn’t in love with his universe Kon, but rather Cassie. He still doesn’t shares what had happened and why he doesn’t want to come back (maybe he can’t? idk)

both Tims met by accident when married!Tim wasn’t even engaged - was starting to think about marriage and all that - and was window-shopping some engagement rings of this one specific shop. Shop belonged to o-u!Tim, who upon landing here, somehow learnt about some organized kryptonite black market and wanted to get more inside info.

upon seeing not-yet-married!Tim in front of his shop, other-universe!Tim decided to reveal himself, because “screw this! both of me will solve this quicker!”

Jason is famous crime-novels writer. His novels are so realistic, some fans believe the author worked in law-enforcement of some kind. He never yet showed his face to the public.

His pen name is something like “Jason Peters” and all his friends and family know that it is him. Especially Bats, because they recognize some of the cases (most of them are mix of various cases).

Bats respect that Jason needs some privacy gathering information for the books, however... Look, they are fan of his books, love the challenge it gives them, but are not afraid to bother him until he reveals something

it became family game - “who can solve the case in latest of Jason’s book first” (Jason of course judges and also takes bets.) Time starts with book official release.

Jason, while he’s in better contact with his family, doesn’t want his writer fame being associated with the Wayne name. But. He once told his manager that the true reason he knows most of this stuff he writes about was truly because he’s deceased and miraculously revived Jason Todd-Wayne who spend years after his revival with international mafia.

His manager laughed at this, not believing, but it didn’t worsen their working relationship. Peters was fun and quirky guy after all.

That was until they planned collab with other famous writer who didn’t like showing his face (and for whom I have no pen name)

The other author is Kon

He specifies in adventure as a genre. Sometimes those are also sci-fi.

And while Kon and Jason respects each others writing skills, and are aware they are curating for different fanbase, there’s some kind of rivalry going on

Because most of their family and friends are more often reading Jason’s books than his (Damn you on-going bet! Damn you!)

and because his lest-favorite brother in-law, whom he still didn’t forgive for injuring his husband (I don’t care you forgive him, Tim, Honey), and who sometimes makes fun at him whenever there’s family diner, is sometimes beating him up in book sales.

anyway, I don’t have much plans for this now, but I thought the meeting for theoretical colab would take place at Tim’s and Kon’s place.

meanwhile, Tim in the kitchen, trying not to hit his head on the wall repeatedly: come on, Tim, Alfred prepared you for this! >:( You will be perfect host and none of this shit currently happening will move or visibly stress you out! >:( You will not cry and call Alfred for help! >:( But would it be proper, if I bring out alcohol earlier???

I have few more ideas for this fic, but those were the wildest ones currently, I guess.

Jason is basically everyone's crush in the JL like almost everyone has a thing for him you hear gossip going around about his beautiful thunder thighs(and butt)or his cool jacket and saying how cute he is with his white streak and red domino mask and wished he takes off his helmet more on and the bat family can no longer handle it this need to stop or they will explode they don't need to hear what their comrade talk how sexy he is no thank u(also I'm hooked on this and I can't stop drawing it)

Honestly, like the worse thing for Dick is when he’s hanging out with Kori and/or Roy and someone mentions or asks about Jason because those two have NO SHAME and do not understand what things should be kept private or at the very least should not be said in front of the subject’s family. They give explicit details. And Kori has an excuse, she’s an alien, but he thinks Roy really just enjoys making Dick uncomfortable, and also seems to just really enjoy talking about Jason for some reason.

Bruce at least has an aura that dissuades most people from asking him things directly, but he hears everything going on, he knows people are talking about Jason and sometimes they throw in Dick as well but he’s already desensitized people gushing about Nightwing, the fact that they are going wild for Red Hood all of a sudden is just baffling to him. The worst really, is Hal Jordan who has no issues annoying the hell out of Bruce, and who he is pretty sure started talking and asking about Red Hood mostly just to piss Bruce off, but now seems to have a heated rivalry with Kara wherein they disagree on Jason’s best physical feature (Kara says thighs, Hal says abs. Booster Gold says his shoulders but no one is listening to him.)

And Tim is just contemplating becoming subterranean because it doesn’t matter where he goes, he’s surrounded by people who seem to have developed a fixation on one of his older brothers or the other and he just can’t deal anymore. “No, Kon, I haven’t seen Jason naked, no I don’t know anything about his size down there, no I don’t want to speculate, don’t even want to think about it, really. Wait, aren’t you supposed to be the one with x-ray vision!? NO DON’T TELL ME ABOUT IT, I DON’T WANT TO KNOW.”
