Oikawa Toruu Headcanons

He has a 7’ tall alien plushy that he keeps in the corner of his room

The eyes glow in the dark

Once a month Makki and Matsun steal it and Oikawa loses his shit bc he has no idea who keeps taking his plushy but it always gets returned within a day

His favorite Disney character is Stich and he’s watched all of the movies and the show multiple times

He has a shit load of Stitch merch which mostly consists of stuffed animals

He’s been perfecting his skin care routine for years and forces Iwaizumi to do it whenever they have a sleepover

Iwaizumi pretends to hate it but always appreciates how nice his skin feels the next day

He grew up in a fairly accepting household so was kinda surprised when he got sat down one night and was told that most of the world is cruel to people like him (lgbtqia+)

Bc of the way he was brought up, a bunch of queer kids often go to him for advice or safety even if he’s never spoken to them or about the lgbtqia+ (I feel like he just gives off a safe vibe)

He wears a knee brace basically 24/7 weither he’s practicing or not

He get cold super easily so he’s always clinging onto Iwaizumi for warmth

He always watches the supernatural shows on the History Chanel

He’s super good at calming people down from panic attacks and gets even better with that specific person each time

He’s written so many essays on how aliens are real that the teachers don’t even read them anymore and just give hime an A

MASSIVE insomniac simply because he because he finds sleep boring and “has much better thinks to do with his time”

Because of this, he doses off a lot and the whole volleyball team respectfully quiets down because they know he needs the sleep

The only way to get him to sleep before 2AM is by having Iwaizumi cuddle him and Iwa uses this to his advantage whenever they have sleepovers

He’s had a plushy addiction for his entire life but two of his most prized possessions are an elephant Takeru have him when he was 4 and a small dinosaur that Iwa gave him when they were kids

He watches the sunset almost every night and often sent pictures to the seijoh third years

First Date HC’s With Oikawa ･:*+.\(( °v° ))/.:+

This man tries his best to play it off as if he’s cocky and confident about it, BUT HE’S SO NERVOUS LIKE OMGG

He thought about taking you to a nice fancy restaurant but he really didn’t want to be generic like a lot of other guys you dated

So when he heard about this tiny theme park that had recently opened, HE WAS PREPARED

He ordered tickets and made sure that it would be a pleasant suprise

On the day before the date, He was sweating like crazy and was messing up his sets more than usual

The date was on Saturday so he didn’t have to worry about classes and practice

He even did his homework beforehand

When he went to go pick you up, HE WAS STUNNED

You’ve always looked so __ (any compliment about the appearance) to him

But he doesn’t know why today you look more stunning than usual

He walks you to his car like the gentleman HE IS (and you deserve)

When he drove you to the theme park, he had one hand on your thigh for the whole time

You guys finally arrive and…

Let’s just say you were pleasantly shocked with all of his efforts that he made to make this memorable

He shows the guy his ticket he had ordered for the both of you and gets in

He’s SUPER EXCITED for the (rigged) games (to seem cool and strong to you)

However, there was a roller coaster that you saw and really wanted to go on

THIS MAN HAS A FEAR OF HEIGHTS

Sadly, he was embarrassed to tell you

However, you got the hint when he was complaining about getting on

You tried your best to comfort him and saying that the two of you can go on other rides if he was scared.

He said that he wanted you to have the most fun that you can

In the end, both you were in line for the ride (after a long ass walk to the line)

Whenever a big drop or loop came in, Oikawa would scream at the top of his lungs (this made for a HILARIOUS coaster photo)

At the end of the ride, you were excited as hell but quite fatigued

So you went to get some food and water while Oikawa went to go retrieve the photos

You guys ate and spent the rest of the date playing the games that he wanted to play and going on some SMALLER rides.

At the end of the date, he dropped you off at your house and left you with a small teddy bear and a peck on the lips right before you went back to your house.

warnings: she/her pronouns, one vague mention of throwing up

★ This man loves attention from everyone, and that includes his forbidden crush: you. If you’re in the room, he wants your eyes on him, bc his eyes are certainly on you.

★ He loves to drape his arms around you casually, or if he’s having a bad day he’ll flop his whole body on you. Feel free to scold him, but he’ll feel better if you squeeze back before you shove him off.

★ He’s big on physical affection with everyone. So it’s no question why when you’re in the room he often has to be touching you in some way. Whether it be just hanging off your shoulder, or splaying his legs on top of yours during movie night.

★ After a loss, you picked up the habit of playing with his hair and watching tv with him, it distracts him for a bit and gives him peace. Sometimes you catch him humming when you scratch his scalp right, like a purring cat. You give him massages or make little braids, he doesn’t care as long as it’s you. But also, you never want to leave him when he’s sad, so you usually fall asleep on the couch, with your hands in his hair. He thinks you’re adorable when you sleep.

★ He tends to greet you with literal open arms, expecting a hug immediately. He sways when he hugs you, but not for too long.

★ If there’s a concert or an amusement park in town, you are always his first choice. He really likes candied apples and he’s obnoxious on rollercoasters. He’s definitely afraid of them, but if you show interest he’ll do every ride to show off to you. Once, he went on a large dipped rollercoaster and after he got off, he immediately threw up into the trashcan. It’s okay though, he liked how you babied him after.

★ He has used you as an excuse not to go out with others at parties. You two have a pact that makes you the “reserved girlfriend” and him the “reserved boyfriend” for the night if either of you are being bothered by others.

★ He likes parties because both of you become looser in your actions. Lots of almost kisses and an occasional dance that’s a bit too close for “just friends”. But neither of you mind as you just blame it on the alcohol to excuse your softer touches.

★ He loves to take pictures with you! Some he posts on instagram, others he keeps for himself.

★ If you go through a breakup, he is your number one supporter. He has a barrel of ice cream, tissues, your favorite movies and a classic chick flick you haven’t seen just in case you want some variety, and a pre-made playlist of happy songs to get you out of the mood if needed. Will trash your ex like no tomorrow. Truly, he is the best friend to have in this type of situation. He knows exactly what to say for you to feel validated and generally just feel better.

★ If you make it to best friends before either of you confesses, life is only harder when goodbye kisses on the cheek become a thing. Iwaizumi noticed the first time and questioned it, happily surprised, thinking his friends finally are dating, but eventually he scowls and hits Oikawa in the head for being an idiot after Oikawa tries to justify his actions, “It’s just like kissing my sister goodbye!” Yeah, that was a bit of a downer for you to hear. He doesn’t realize what he implied until later and he calls Iwa at midnight with his overthinking. Iwa hangs up.

★ When you eventually make it to a relationship status (and yes, it will happen, it is written in the stars), it’ll be after a volleyball game when he’s most confident OR a rare occurrence of him showing you his vulnerability during pillow talk. You’ll answer him with a kiss <3

Probably would do this for an anniversary or a birthday

Kuroo-

Strikes me as a hoodie type of man

Bokuto-

♡ … honestly, it has happened in front of you before, where a fan would shyly walk over and gently shove a card or some sort of gift to you both before running off. sometimes they will just straight up walk over and start complimenting him as well.

♡ … when you're not around though, i feel like he may chuckle nervously and scratch the nape of his neck in the effortlessly charming way that he does.

♡ … "that's very sweet of you! but, i'm in a relationship!" is what he'll say in that sweet voice of his. his fans would either respect it or interrogate him.

♡ … but it doesn't matter -- in fact, it gives him a chance to talk about his lovely s/o more!

♡ … the more they question him, the more they see the adoration grow in his eyes the more he talks in depth about you and your relationship together -- hell, he'll even start to brag a bit!

♡ … so, getting a rather bold compliment in passing, he might go silent with an awkward blush rising, ears burning a pink color.

♡ … "uh, uhm, e-erm, yeah-" will kind of just stumble around until he finds the correct words to respond -- but by then the mysterious flirt has already walked on.

♡ … i feel like he just wouldn't say anything about it unless it came up in conversation? something about osamu just strikes me as the type of person to not mention a whole lot of things that happens with him unless someone asks about his day, or if he knows its something that needs to be discussed.

♡ … so knowing osamu, atsumu would probably find out one way or another, and then mention it.

♡ … "you got hit on?" "w-well i, ya see, er-"

♡ … osamu may not show it, but he gets a little nervous at the questioning look on your face after atsumu's mouth just had to blurt out the little tid-bit of information.

♡ … honestly, it's adorable to watch his ears grow more red with every passing second as he tries to explain what happened, though an involuntary smile grows on his face as he watches an identical one grow on yours.

♡ … now, whenever you compliment him, you just say "are my compliments better than their's?" teasingly, and his ears burn but a grin washes over his face as he presses a kiss to your forehead -- "always."

bokuto:

this man's love language is definitely physical touch, so he always is holding you hand, or putting his arm around your shoulder whenever you guys are in public. the first time he held your hand he was lowkey surprised, but in a stupid way so it was really funny to you :)

after the initial shock, he honestly doesn't really care, because he definitely has those nonstop sweaty palms, so when you can annoy him with your cold hands, he can annoy you with his warm ones.

as a joking gift, he bought you some gloves (they had little owls on them because he's sentimental like that), and even before he gave them to you, he was laughing so hard, and you just were like; "ok, so this gift is going to be stupid", but you went along with it just to see what he was laughing so much about (after you saw them you laughed too, because the joke was just so dumb but cute at the same time)

he does this little thing where he'll hold both of your hands and blow on them and rub them between his to make them warmer, and then just look at you with these puppy eyes that scream "did that help make them warmer?" and it's just so cute-

kuroo:

he honestly feels like he is surrounded by people with cold hands, because kenma and literally all of nekoma (except yamamoto and inouka) has cold hands too, and when he first holds yours, he is literally convinced that he is the only person with warm hands.

kuroo doesn't really care that you have ice cubes for hands, and he'll make lowkey shady jokes about it, but they are really stupid so they are more dorky than shady so it's funny.

whenever he's playfully mad at you, he'll take your hand and put it on your face and jokingly say some shit like; "see? this is what i have to feel all the time. you have no right to argue with me when i deal with this". and if you get mad, he'll just start laughing, because he thinks whatever he says is the peak of comedy (his lowkey ego smh)

since you have pretty cold hands, most of the pda he'll do with you will be holding your hand in an attempt to warm it up, and if you say they are still cold, he'll kiss each finger and once you start blushing he'll say that you look warm enough with this stupid smirk on his face, because he was able to fluster you.

oikawa:

this bitch has cold hands too- so he thinks that your hands are normal, until iwazumi calls you guys some stupid insult about how you and oikawa have refrigerators for palms, and then it finally clicks for oikawa that not everyone has freezing hands, and you just are like; "how tf did you not know this before-"

he will use warming up your hands as an excuse to hold your hand, and he tries to be nonchalant about it, but fails miserable, so it's so obvious that he just wants to hold your hand, but you play along to spare his ego.

another attempt to warm up you guys' hands is buying hot drinks, so he'll go to Starbucks and get both of you a hot drink (he will never get coffee anywhere else and he will stand by that fact until the day he dies), and it's become a lowkey tradition :)

he thinks threatening to freeze people with yours and his hands is the funniest shit ever, so if anyone tries to test you guys, he'll just say some stupid threat about touching them, and you find it so funny, because he always feels like a bad bitch afterwards (as he should)
