Summary:
The year is 1949. A young Charles Xavier begs Peggy Carter to save his sister's life, and soon he finds himself trapped inside a secret base with a boy who can manipulate metal and insists that they both have powers.
A very well documented story about growing up, trauma, found family, defying societal norms, and changing the world.

Finally the rescue party comes for them, but it won't be that easy to leave.
-----------
"All the lights went out just as we were entering the elevator, can you believe it? Shield must be really cutting expenses. Outrageous. Had to use the kids' powers just to get up here for the infirmary." Bucky said with his most innocent expression, open-eyed and smiling brightly. "Hope you don't mind, just some routine physicals and then will bring the kids back." He looked at his disbelieving audience. "It won't roll, will it?"
They all sported the metal helmets Victor was so fond of, and more and more soldiers appeared, cutting their way out. Steve carefully positioned himself in front of the rest, ready to protect them.
Lang smiled wickedly, tilting her head a bit to get a better look at the shield. "I must say, I love your sense of fashion. Those lenses are so cool. Too bad it must hurt if they break while you're still wearing them. I'm sure all that glass against a head must be painful."
At a sign from her, one of the guards lunged forward and smacked Erik in the head with a wooden object.

Magneto is JEWISH. He is a Jewish character. The original version of the story the new X-Men 97 season is trying to tell relied on him being snapped out his plan by a young Jewish girl being hurt (I actually posted about how much I love this story beat last year). A young Jewish girl he later attends a meeting of Holocaust survivors with. Telling this story without using the word “Holocaust” or “Jewish” is so very telling. And it’s not a one off with this show— Roberto is an Afro-Brazilian character who manifested his powers because of a hate crime and they changed his origin completely.
Disney will ALWAYS shy away from these issues. They will ALWAYS want the kudos from having minority characters while sanitizing their stories. Really think about what it means for them to do this to characters like Sunspot and Magneto, but stand their ground when it comes to keeping the Israeli propaganda character in upcoming Cap movie.
