I love how every American thinks that Germany removed all forms of the Nazis from their society. Makes me wonder how those death camps that dot the entire German country Are still around and being used as an example to every German student of what not to do. Even that rug made out of Jewish scalps must have been a figment of my imagination and that nobody tried to actively wipe out a entire group of people.

when we were younger we would always hear people getting into drugs, making a mess of their life and we always thought 'That won't be me, never will I touch a drug'.

when we heard of people getting tied down to the wrong person, destroying their self esteem and happiness we always thought 'That won't be me, I will never subject myself to that, I know my worth'.

And when we heard of people taking their own life we thought 'how horrendous, I would never take such a precious gift that was given to me for granted'.

now, as we rush around trying to find the next high to distract ourselves from the wrong love we tried to make right one too many times, we find ourselves sitting on the bridge no longer thinking of how beautiful the water looks-but how far the fall is. And I can't help but wonder how we got here. How we became what we always said we would never be; and how we let ourselves fall so far.
