“i wish you were not on this earth, but entirely within me, or rather that i were not on this earth, but entirely within you; i feel there is one too many of us; the separation into two people is unbearable.”

I am not well. I could have built the Pyramids with the
effort it takes me to cling
on to life and reason.

text under the cut
Miss Felicity
She faces the world with her cadmium eyes
The royal blue depths of her constant disguise
She’s always hiding her life's cyclicity
There goes perfect Miss Felicity.
She walks the halls in Paris Green
Arsenic pigments for our trendy queen
Actions and words devoid of authenticity
There goes fake Miss Felicity.
She hides her face under a layer of lead
Dusting her eyelids with cinnabar red
Constantly conscious of the world’s toxicity
There goes broken Miss Felicity.
She always makes sure she’s put together
Her thoughts howl away into the empty aether
Forever masking away her eccentricity
There she goes, but she Misses Felicity.

chet baker on the m25 (after 'jazz on the autobahn) - jude francis
[text description:
(italics) chet baker on the m25 (end italics)
(brackets) (after 'jazz on the autobahn') (end brackets)
running from one horizon to the other -
mushroom cloud or nuclear sunset,
this apocalyptic game of would you rather.
chet baker croons
through the speakers, and i'm
twisting in the passenger seat
to watch the end of the world
break the speed limit on its way out of town.
every other radio station is locked in heated debate;
is this a bang or a whimper?
but i never had the time for details and now there's no time for anything,
only a screech of tires on a road well-travelled and
an endless exodus of the ones who wouldn't stay.
there's no better moment to sing along
than to the last song you'll ever hear,
and as the trumpet swells
i think to myself,
'this really is one hell of an ending.' /end description]

Maiden of snow,
Come down below.
Dress all in white
With all your delight
To prepare for felicity
From the king of mercy.

If only I could write, Felice! I am consumed with the desire to do so. Above all, if only I were free enough, and fit enough! I don't think you have properly taken in that writing is the only thing that makes my inner existence possible. No wonder, I always express myself so badly;
