“And, tell me, what is the Prince’s excuse this time?” you asked, looking at the diminutive maid in your doorway, her plain white robes a stark contrast to the elaborate, guided threshold she filled.
“His father is holding court this evening, m’lady,” she replied, her head bowed, refusing to meet your eye.
Twisting your lip into a skeptical frown, you kept your disappointment inside for the sake of dignity. “Court is never held after sunset,” you answered. “He’s pissed off again.”
The maid didn’t reply. “He did send his regards--”
“--every cursed night for the past four days he’s ‘sent his regards’! We marry in another six and I have yet to see his face, nor he mine,” you  growled, frustration rising in your voice as your anger obscured your manners.”Is he deformed?”
“No, m’lady. His handsomeness is unmatched.”
“Does his tastes fall to another sex?”
She denied. “M’lady, the Prince is open about his desires, and he does not discriminate between sexes.”
“Well, does this bastard wish to marry me or not??”
The maid looked helpless for an answer. You softened a little in sympathy. “I suppose you wouldn’t understand.”
She shook her head bashfully. “No, m’lady.”
“Then, just go,” you dismissed, not even bothering to wait in the room for her to leave before scurrying into your parlor and slamming the door, finally letting the scream out that had been building up inside you. It felt like a wonderful release, but it didn;t solve your problem.
You were getting married to a blank face in six days, uniting your realms, as was decreed on the day of your birth. You were raised getting to know your husband through correspondence, tutors, and finishing lessons. You only knew of his interests through quizzes and long hours of study. And for all your hard work, on the eve of the culmination of it all: he hadn;t even bothered to meet you.
It was enough of a humiliation when your entourage approached the palace at Asgard only to be greeted by your future brother-in-law, ready with an excuse that your fiance was ailing. The following day, you’d heard he was spotted hunting on the edge of the city.
The next day, Prince Loki missed your supper with the royal family. Queen Frigga had given you a sympathetic apology, insisting she would send him to greet you personally the following day, assuring you that Loki was eager to wed and merely taking care of some final pre-marital business.
He never appeared at your door, and you’d wasted the entire day waiting for him.
You were a strong princess, full of glorious purpose, ready to wed whether your heart wanted to or not. Prince Loki was making it very difficult for you to keep your resolve the more it became obvious that he was avoiding you. Every minute that passed solidified the fact in your mind that you were going to be nothing but a weight shackled to his ankle, occasionally bearing an heir and appearing publicly at his side. You were about to become an official Asgardian ornament.
What a sad fate for a princess, you bemoaned, throwing open your balcony doors and stepping out into the night air. You overlooked the inner courtyards and fields of the palace property, a tree line off against the indigo horizon. The twinkle of the city itself was off, beyond the north wall, the light pollution dousing the stars above your head. The rolling knolls were difficult to admire in the twilight.
Something caught your eye before you lost yourself in pitying thought: by the west wall appeared to be a stable, occupied with the royal steeds no doubt. You could have sworn you heard a whinny from that direction. Smiling, you decided that perhaps a horse’s ear was better than no ear at all (and you’d already scared away most of your maids).
Within a few minutes, you’d donned a black cape and simple dress so as not to attract attention. With all the free time you’d had not getting to know your future husband, you’d gotten to know the ins and outs of the palace corridors quickly, so it was no time before you were out in the open air and strutting toward the stable. You briefly looked up in the direction of the highest tower in the palace: the tower where the royals themselves bedded. Prince Loki was up there somewhere, not giving a damn about you or how lonely you felt.
“Don’t worry, Loki,” you whispered bitterly before turning away from the palace again, “I won’t say one voluntary word to you for the duration of our lives.”
The stables were clean and impeccably-kept, and the lights you’d seen were still on when you arrived. You stepped inside to find that only one of the stables was occupied, by a tall, sturdy, black stallion. He was contentedly munching on something in a metal bucket hanging off of the side of the cubicle.
Someone watched the horse, leaning with his back against the opposite stall door. His ankles were crossed, as well as his arms, and he looked deep in thought. His raven hair hung in his face, unruly and thick. His gray shirt was unfastened, hanging open at his sides, barely holding onto his shoulders. His tight green leggings were tucked into shin-high leather riding boots. He had a tattoo of an ouroboros winding about his chest, just below his razor-sharp clavicle. You swore it was moving very slowly, slithering about the man’s chest in an infinity loop.
There was a quality to his profile that immediately stopped you in your path. It was intimidating, but also attractive, as if he was posing for a painting but trying to look candid at once. Upon hearing the shuffling of your boots on the hay-lined floor, the young man lifted his gaze to meet yours, and his blue eyes lit up.
Looking upon his face only added to the haunting, yet rustic beauty of the man. His jaw was angular, his lips perfectly plump and distorted into an amused smile at seeing your face.
“Princess,” he mumbled, his voice low and casual. “You’re a long way from your chambers.”
You rolled your eyes. “How do you know me? We’ve never met.”
He scoffed in reaction. “Everyone in the palace knows of the lovely future Princess of Asgard. I may be just another peasant among the ranks, but I’m not as dim as most of them.”
“You certainly have the arrogance of the Prince,” you sneered back. “I did not mean to suggest that you’re simple.”
The mysterious stranger raised his eyebrow and pushed off from the wall with his shoulder. “You’ve met him?”
Shaking your head, you looked to the side sheepishly. “No.”
“Still?” chuckled the boy, taking another step toward you, but planting himself there. “And you have not tried seeking him out?”
“It isn’t protocol for me to summon him,” you sighed. “It would be considered stepping out of line.”
“Well, from my experience,” said the peasant, “Stepping out of line is the quickest way to get what you want.”
You looked at him again. “I suppose being judged so harshly without having the chance to even please my betrothed isn’t the best motivator.”
Your conversational partner shrugged. “Maybe he is simply nervous himself? Perhaps he feels those scrutinous eyes fall on him as well, and he isn’t sure how to--?”
“--I should have known, you’d never understand,” you mumbled bitterly, turning your back to him. You had no interest in listening to this apologist make excuses for whatever mental game your fiance was playing without your consent. You chose to disengage quickly, not having the energy to stand up for yourself. “My mistake. I’m sorry to have bothered you, stable boy.”
You began to walk away. “My name is Arik,” the boy called after you, his voice heightened.
You stopped. He sounded instantly contrite.
“It sounds as if I’ve thrown a switch I shouldn’t have,” he continued. “Please forgive me, Princess. I didn't mean to further distress you. I was only seeking to console with you a possible explanation as to the Prince’s rude welcome.”
Turning back, you allowed yourself a small smile. It hurt your cheeks to do so after several days of doing very little with your jaw other than bemoaning your annoying situation.
“Arik,” you repeated.
He nodded and clicked his heels, standing at attention like a general, and bowing at the waist. “At your humble service, my Lady.”
You stepped in further, gaining a closer look at the stable boy. Indeed, the tattoo moved on his chest. “I’ve never seen art like this,” you said breathlessly. The details in the ink were beautiful and delicate. Arik seemed to like you moving in and focusing your gaze on his pectorals.
“My br--Prince Thor has a similar one,” he said quietly. “It is a large bolt of lightning shooting down his back from between his shoulder blades.”
“How do you know this? Do the Princes walk about the palace nude?” you laughed.
Arik’s smile widened at your laugh. “No, Princess. I served with the Princes during our mandatory conscription. Close quarters and all.”
You sighed. “Which means the blasted stable boy knows my husband more than I!” you lamented.
He laughed with you. “Perhaps it is time The Prince conquered his bashfulness,” he agreed. “From where I stand, he is the one missing out by delaying his meeting with you.”
You felt a burning blush crawl up your cheek at the compliment. “Arik…” you paused before continuing. “...if you do know the Princes so well…could you tell me about them? If I cannot learn of my husband from himself--”
Arik took your hand in his, bringing it gently to his lips. “--if you are asking me to familiarize you with our sovereigns in their pathetic absence, I would be most happy to oblige you, Princess.”
Your heart fluttered against your ribs, and you began to feel giddy.
“Sadly,” he went on, your optimism instantly dropping off, “my services are required elsewhere in just a few moments.”
You sighed. “Oh.”
“However, if you wished to meet me here tomorrow evening,” Arik suggested, “It would be my honor to take you for a ride through the knolls.”
As much as you wanted to say yes, you knew that you had to turn him down. “The masque is tomorrow night.”
“Oh, yes, I forgot.”
There was no way Prince Loki would be able to abandon you at the masque ball set for tomorrow. It was in honor of your impending marriage. Even if you weren’t going to see his face, you would absolutely be expected to dance with him in front of the mobility of Asgard.
“If only I could leave him alone in the middle of the floor for once,” you muttered bitterly. “I’m sure he regrets our appointment tomorrow night more than I.”
Arik smiled. “I admire your passion. Perhaps, though, it would be prudent to wait until you meet the Prince, to pass your own judgment.”
“He doesn’t deserve you as a loyal servant,” you remarked.
Arik shrugged. “If you do find yourself in need of more flattering company, I have a small trundle here. As long as the nights are warm, I spend them out here. Come find me at any hour, and I will be your humble ally.”
“Thank you,” you said tenderly. “I needed a friend to find me tonight.”
“As did I, Princess,” he said, holding out a hand, brushing a small piece of hay from your hair that had settled. That tiny, intimate touch from another person was enough to make your nerves tingle. You’d gone for such a long time without any comforting physical contact.
“Then, Arik, I will leave you to your duties,” you said, pulling away before anything even more wonderful could happen. Awkwardly not knowing how to address the strapping young peasant as you left his sight, you smiled and backed out of the stable.
Arik called out after you.  “Sweet dreams, Princess.”
Tumblr media
He was all that you thought of as you went through the motions the following day in preparation for the ball. You were fitted for your gown, a rich, golden fabric draped loosely over your body and held to you with green and black ribbon. Your mask was green with gold feathers. Your hair was swept up into a complicated braid and laden with emeralds. Yet even more jewels were fastened to your ears and throat, all submitting to the green and gold palate.
Just as the palace was beginning to saturate with the odor of roasting meats and breathing bowls of wine, you were ready and escorted to the Great Hall, where the festivities were already in full swing.
Even as the room stopped to acknowledge your entrance at the top of the grand staircase, your thoughts were with the stable boy who’d been the first in Asgard to treat you like a creature with a soul, with needs and fears. No one in this room knew a thing about you even as they praised you as their new princess.
The crowd parted as you descended the staircase, revealing a tall figure dressed in green finery and Asgardian military insignia standing precisely in the center of the room. His hair was slicked back and tucked under a golden diadem, his high-necked jacket fastened from jaw to hip, a lacy black mask curling down his face so that nearly his entire visage was obscured to you.
Great, even looking right at him, I can’t see, you complained inside even as you bowed cordially, reaching Prince Loki for your first meeting. You immediately got the scent of wintergreen and pine from him when you reached proximity.
“Princess,” said a deep, restrained baritone from underneath the mask you faced. Prince Loki clicked his heels and bowed formally at the waist, which only made you long for your secret stable boy more. He shared the Prince’s posture, but that had to be from their shared military days.
“Your Highness,” you barely mustered. “At last we meet.”
“You sound disappointed,” the Prince suggested.
“Only at the bitter reception from Your Highness,” you boldly answered. “What Prince treats his betrothed as such garbage as I have been?”
Loki didn’t twitch, blink, or acknowledge your cheek. He simply took the first position of a groom about to dance with his bride with all the restricted grace of a automaton.
You went to take your position at Loki’s front for the dance. You only did so out of obligation. However, before you could touch his arm, you found yourself stepping back again in spite of yourself.
“No,” you said.
Gasps echoed about the room.
“Princess?” Loki asked, sounding insecure for the first time.
“You’ve been treating me worse than a scullery maid since the day I arrived. I’ve wanted nothing but to please you and please your subjects, but after being held in this palace like a prisoner in a cage of glass and gold, I’ve come to realize this: you don't deserve my hand. However, seeing as I am being forced to give it to you regardless, I am choosing to retain a mote of my own autonomy tonight by refusing this dance.”
No one had seen this coming from you, let alone Loki.
You sucked in your breath bravely. “If you permit me to leave this annoyance of a party right now, I will consider it our wedding present.”
Committing to the offense, you spun on your heels and quickly walked back up the staircase as the murmurs and gasps grew to a louder hum.
“Princess!” Loki was pursuing you, calling to you as you retreated.
“So NOW you seek me out, now that I humiliate you in front of the assembly?” you hissed as soon as you turned the corner. “I won’t be anyone’s ornament! May you be damned!”
He eventually gave up and remained behind. You found yourself stomping about the corridors alone, making a beeline for the stables.
Tonight, the air was even warmer. Your gown fluttered in the breeze behind you as you made your way to the stables, where no one seemed to be home.
“Arik?” you called, going inside to find no one, not even the horse, around. “Arik? Are you here?”
After a few moments of you pacing up and down the row, and you heard the sound of shuffling feet outside. You rushed back into the open night, and sure enough, Arik was returning, the black stallion bridled and tethered to his side. The horse was already wearing a saddle built for two.
“My Lady?” Arik called, slightly out of breath.
“Did I find you at a bad time? You look disheveled,” you remarked, taking in how Arik looked like he’d thrown himself at a pile of laundry and decided whatever garments stuck to his body would create his wardrobe for the evening: a white peasant shirt loosely tied at the neck, and black pants.
Arik shook his head. “Alvis was startled by a serpent. Reining him in proved a challenge.”
“Then, perhaps he wouldn’t be amenable to the possibility of a ride this evening?” you asked, batting your eyelashes.
Smiling, Arik raked a hand through his hair. “I think he can be persuaded, but…shouldn’t you be at the gala, Princess?”
You scoffed, taking the ribbon tying your braid together and unfurling your hair, shaking it loose until every gem fell to the grass. “If His Highness wished to dance with me, he would have thought of this before casting me off like an old glove.”
He snickered. “It didn’t go well, I take it?”
You shook your head. “I wouldn’t even stay for supper.”
“Well, that won’t do, Princess. This has already been a trying week for you. You need sustenance.” He indicated the double-seated saddle on the back of Alvis. “I’m sure the horse is well now, my Lady. I can take you to a place I know of on the edge of the kingdom, where we can remedy that.”
Nodding enthusiastically at his offer, you stepped up to the horse, suddenly realizing that you’d never ridden before. Arik seemed to be able to read your mind, scooping you up into his arms and placing you on Alvis before quickly mounting the horse himself.
You got the briefest hint of wintergreen and pine as you wrapped your arms around his waist.
Tumblr media
Arik took you through the knolls and orchards south of the city proper as the sun descended and night returned. The shadows of trees along the path fell across your faces as you rode through the lawns and groves, away from everyone else and off into a better place. Arik showed you how to stretch your arms out to pick apples and pears off the fruit trees you brushed past along the way. You laughed as you made a game out of who could nick more treats before being caught and chased along a few meters by an irate farmer who happened to be walking offside.
You were brought to a waterfall on the edge of the kingdom, where you and the handsome stable boy sat on a boulder, close enough to the falls to feel the chilly mist. As you feasted on your ill-gotten fruit, Arik told you about your intended, and answered every question you had.
He was beautiful in the soft moonglow. A perfect specimen, healthy and strong, but also brooding and sweet. Ridiculous as it seemed (it had taken less than a day), you were completely in love with Arik. He was more of a god in his humble rags as he sat before you now than Prince Loki could ever be while arrayed in his furs and finery.
Something bothered you while he spoke: Arik spoke very fondly of the Prince in spite of your criticisms, almost as if he was trying to sell him to you. It was as if Arik could sense your growing feelings for him, and he was perhaps trying to protect you by throwing you off of his trail.
“Tell me, Arik,” you implored, “Do you think Prince Loki even has the ability to love?”
“Princess, do you expect love to come from your arranged marriage?”
You shrugged. “I was hoping for some.”
Arik smiled tenderly and took your hand. “If I know Prince Loki, he will take care of you and your children for your whole lives.”
Shaking your head, you pulled your hand away. “That isn’t what I want! I want love!”
“But--”
“--I can’t ever love Prince Loki,” you said decidedly.
Arik’s shoulders dropped, and his smile disappeared. “That is very sad to hear, My Lady, That notion will only lead to a woeful match. If I know him, he wishes only for your happiness. But why do you sound so certain of this?”
“Because without trust, there can be no love…and how can I trust someone whose face I’ve never seen?” you explained, breaking down in tears at last, leaning against Arik’s broad shoulder.
He gripped you tightly, and you felt safe in his arms, wishing you could be there forever. “Let’s run away.”
He didn’t respond. You found yourself doubling down. “I mean it, Arik. I could live a thousand years with you starting tonight.”
He pulled away from you far enough to make eye contact. His face was once of concern, of seriousness. “You can’t mean this. We barely know one another.”
“I do! I do!” you said quickly. “Arik, you see me as not a Princess, but a woman, someone who wants to make the best of a fraught situation. You understand my soul,” you wept.
Arik looked touched. He pursed his lips as he thought of what to say next. “My Lady, I don’t know what to say…”
“Take me away with you. Let’s go tonight,” you proposed.
“No, Princess,” he insisted, pushing you away, standing straight. “You are engaged.”
“So, you won’t have me, and he doesn’t want me…no one wants me,” you whispered.
Arik’s heart broke for you, and he returned you to his embrace. “Eloping would be instant death for us both, my Lady,” he said quietly. “If it weren’t this way…”
“Oh, Arik, I wish you were the Prince!” you cried, laying your lips against his and putting your palm against his cheek. He kissed you back, wrapping his arms around your whole body tightly.
“Will I see you again after tonight?” you asked softly once your lips parted.
He sighed. “It may not be a good idea,” he mused, breaking your heart. “Even this beautiful kiss we’ve just shared is enough to condemn us.”
You nodded. “I would never wish to cause your death, Arik.”
“Then, let’s stay out tonight,” he suggested. “With the promise that we won’t ever address the notion of running away ever again.”
“I agree.”
He returned you just before dawn, to the door of your chambers, giving you one final kiss before leaving. Just before he turned the corner to return to the stables, he stopped to give you one more piece of advice.
“I really do know the Prince intimately, Princess,” he insisted. “And if I know him, I know that if you give him your hand next week, he will give you his heart.”
You felt a hot tear sting your eye. “I trust you,” you said with a small nod.
Arik smiled. “Then, perhaps, there can be love here after all.”
It took all of your strength to be reserved as you closed your door to the last hope of ever having a happy life with Arik the stable boy.
Tumblr media
As promised, Arik had disappeared, removing any temptation you’d had to seek him out and go back on your own word to bind yourself to Prince Loki. You let the depression settle over you, painting you in a numbing glaze of complacency in your own imprisonment. You were meant to be a shackle on the Prince’s ankle, as promised by virtue of your birth. You would have to resign yourself to that, and be content with that.
Five days later, at dusk, you were escorted down the long hall leading to Asgard’s throne room. You wore a grand gown in peacock-blue, your hair down and loose about your shoulders, a golden circlet draped across your forehead, your face obscured by a veil so thick you needed a bridesmaid to guide you to your palace at the groom’s side for the ceremony.
Goddamnit, even now I don't know what he looks like, you admitted the defeat bitterly. Your face was stone. You’d mentally prepared yourself for this, but it required a stiff upper lip to endure.
The ceremony was grand, but brief. A cauldron of eternal fire received your written vows to one another, and as the smoke formed the great tree Yggdrasil above your heads, you braced yourself for the moment where Loki would lift your veil and look upon your face.
You closed your eyes as the Allfather gave Loki permission to greet his new bride with a first kiss. The ambient light increased behind your lids as the veil lifted. You waited in silence for several moments for the kiss.
Instead, you heard a familiar voice say “Open your eyes, my Lady.”
Obeying, you didn’t expect the kind blue eyes that belonged to your beloved stable boy to be looking down at you from the face of your husband. Confused, you raised an eyebrow and mouthed, “Arik? But…Loki?”
He shook his head and said softly, “We are one and the same, my dear.”
“No,” you mumbled. “It can’t be!”
The deceitful Prince took your hand and quickly kissed it. “I came into this match with the same fears as you, my love, and I had to know that you could love me for who I was, and not what my title was.”
“But…you were so mean to me…”
The Prince shook his head. “Please accept the grave mistake I made in choosing to avoid you. I thought that you’d already resented me due to our reluctant arrangement.”
“I wanted to meet you, to know you!”
“And so you have,” Loki said with a tender smile. “I assure you that Arik is in my heart. He was the real mask I wore, in order to have the courage to meet you for myself.”
You couldn’t believe it. “So, now we’re going to go forward and build an entire life off of a charade?”
“You said you trusted me,” Loki added. “Perhaps we can begin there, and with a kiss.”
The line was pure Arik. You were sold.
“It IS you!” you smiled happily, a warm wave of affection making your head spin.
As the Prince leaned down to give you your bridal kiss, Arik’s lips met yours and removed the last doubts you would ever have.

But I don't want them to heal. I want them to stay bitter and sour and angry. I want them to choose revenge over letting go every time. I want to see glimpses of hope, of peace, of a future that is better for everyone and I want them to choose wrong. I want them to refuse to regret that choice, no matter how much it hurts, no matter who it hurts. I want them to succeed in their vengeance and look back and think, even after everything, "It was worth it. I did what I had to do." I'm tired of characters choosing peace and healing and love. Choose hate and anger and pain, and inflict on every person who ever hurt you.

Pledge Allegiance
Prince! Loki x female reader
18+ | contains a little smut
Tumblr media
“There’s a guest here for you, your majesty.” Your messenger spoke, averting his gaze as he entered the room.
“Who is this guest?” You questioned, glancing at him.
“He said he’s a prince, should I tell him to wait in the—” he began before you interrupted him.
“Send him in.” You instructed.
“You want me to send him in? Now?” He asked incredulously.
“I don’t take kindly to repeating myself.” You answered evenly.
“Yes your majesty, sorrows.” He apologised before turning around and leaving.
You turned back towards the court painter, the silence resuming as he continued to paint you before you heard the door opening.
“Hello silvertongue.” You welcomed coyly as Loki stepped inside. His gaze darkened a shade as he took you in, laying sideways on the chaise lounge, nude, a thin layer of silk draped across your lower body shielding your modesty as you looked up at him.
“Y/n.” He greeted fondly, gaze meeting yours again as he stepped towards you before crouching down and taking your hand. “My queen.” He added, kissing the back of your hand before lowering it. You nodded chastely in reply as he stood again.
“And pray tell, how may I help you?” You queried.
“I’d prefer to speak in the absence of doting ears.” He answered, clearly gesturing to the other person in the room.
“Well you heard the man, he’s a prince” you turned to the court painter “make haste.” You ordered, flicking your wrist before the man scampered out. Turning back towards Loki, you picked up the grapes that were propped up in front of you. “Loki, would you like a grape?” You offered with a smile as you ate one. “I tend to grow quite peckish myself when posing for portraits” you spoke, eating another “and then these are just here, teasing me.” You snorted. Lifting one of your fingers, you gestured Loki closer before grabbing another grape with your free hand. Instead of crouching, Loki knelt in front of you as you fed him the grape with a wide smile on your face.
“How succulent” he complimented, looking deeply into your eyes once he finished the grape “a refreshing burst of sweetness.” He grinned.
“Now, away from flibbertigibbets, tell me what’s so important that you mustered up the dark energy needed to come here, surely it wasn’t just to pay me a visit.” You insisted.
“Can I not just simply visit you?” He answered bashfully.
“No.” You smiled as Loki stood up again.
“What’s so far-fetched about me coming here and paying a visit to the queen of a realm once promised to me?” Loki shot back, seemingly walking towards your unfinished portrait.
“What do you want?” You asked, smile falling.
“I remember when it used to only be me who painted you undraped, I was the only one you’d let see you so unclad” Loki reminisced as he looked at the painting “but I must admit, your court painter has done a splendid job at capturing your beauty y/n.”
“I could get him to paint you next, I’m sure he’ll be able to capture those sleepless nights under your eyes.” You snapped, sitting up as you pulled a silk robe around you.
“And she bites.” Loki smirked, turning towards you.
“Oh, I can do a lot more than just bite.” You answered, narrowing your gaze.
“Yes” he agreed “I seem to recall many of those sleepless nights were spent with you.”
“What do you want Loki?” You asked, looking up at him. Walking towards you, Loki stood in front of you, raising his hand to caress your cheek as he looked down into your eyes. Wordlessly, his thumb found your lips, circling them before he dragged his thumb down, your lips moving in the process before they were released, his thumb travelling lower. It ventured between the valley of your breasts and lower as Loki knelt back onto the floor.
“I find this more appropriate, a queen shouldn’t look up at a prince, especially not in her own realm.” He finally broke the silence.
“Even in a realm you insist you gifted me.” You spat.
“I did gift it to you.”
“I bested you.” You insisted.
“Did you?” He questioned, kissing one of your knees, lips travelling up your legs. Using one of his hands, Loki pushed them apart as he kissed your inner thighs. “Or did I let you win?”
Before you could even answer, your hands had curled into fists, fists that bored into the chaise lounge below you as you arched your back towards Loki, his name escaping your lips in a lewd moan. You moved further to the edge as Loki’s tongue ravished through your folds before his lips wrapped around your clit. One of your hands found the back of his head, fingers working through the knots in his hair as he suckled against your clit leaving you thoroughly pleasured.
“We are at war y/n.” He spoke between licks, not even lifting his head to speak.
“W-war?” You questioned, head thrown back with your eyes closed.
“Yes, a very real, a very merciless war.” He stated, lips smoothing over your clit as he spoke.
“And what can I do?” You asked, looking down at him. Without answering, Loki engulfed the bundle of nerves with his mouth again, making you moan out loud.
“There are two things” he began before you nodded “first, you could finish” he grinned, glancing up at you “refresh me with another burst of sweetness.”
“Loki” you sighed with rapture as he alternated between licking and sucking your clit. You could feel the pleasure swelling in your abdomen as he continued his victimless torture before your delight gushed out of you. Loki continued, slowly licking you until you pushed him away. Sitting back against the chaise, you tried to compose yourself as Loki stood. You closed your legs as you looked at him, wiping his face.
“And now I’m looking up at you again.” You noted.
“Secondly, I need your allegiance.” Loki answered seriously.
“My allegiance?”
“Yes.” He nodded.
“Was it not you who cursed me to an eternity by your side?”
“I simply saved your life.” He shrugged.
“Exactly, you saved my life. There’s no war where I fight against you Loki.” You assured as he crouched down again.
“Do you promise?”
“I promise” you nodded “do you want me to swear on it like when we were children?” You chuckled.
“Your word is enough.” He smiled, kissing the corner of your mouth. Turning your head, you captured Loki’s lips in a proper kiss, an uncouth one. It didn’t take long for him to join you on the chaise lounge, below you, holding you down against him as he lifted his hips, fucking up into you.

Imagine #007
Imagine being Loki's lover when he is the prince of Asgard. Whenever he needs to go to war, he doesn't take you, all the waiting makes him more feral on the ground.
Now imagine him coming back after a long war and a grand victory. He skips his own celebration to be in you. He takes you roughly then sweetly, and then uses your body some more. You are too tired and when he makes you come for the nth time you try to move away from him.
He just summons a couple of satin ribbons and ties your hand to the headboard.. "let's start over shall we?" What have you gotten yourself into!

EDIT: How long do you think you can keep up with Loki? 👀

All eyes on us — Loki
Tumblr media
What are the odds that a prince such as Loki would even notice a low status princess from a dying nation?
What are the odds that a prince such as Loki would even bat an eye or start a conversation with you?
What are the odds that a prince such as Loki would come up to you after the ball.
And what are the odds that a prince such as Loki would invite you to stay the night with him?
Actually you had unbelievably amazing odds.
People and beings from all over the realms and galaxy often criticised Loki for dating such a low status princess but the god had fought and defended you time and time again. Until this day you still never understood why he chose you but he says to not question it too much.
At first people thought it was a ruse, a trick, a way to shock the public, hell even you bought into the rumours, alas Loki had proved his love for you over and over, professing it to the heavens high. Needless to say it was difficult not to fall for the charming prince who knelt to you and only you.
Even years after dating, no one could truly believe the prince’s choices, but he never once regretted or had a second thought about you…and soon enough the love between you grew
An Asgardian ball was to be held again and of course you were Loki’s date…
“Darling you look absolutely stunning in that dress”
You turned to you your charming prince by the frame of your door “I didn’t hear you come in…Were you trying to get a peek? But thank you my love”
He let out a chuckle at your comment “Well perhaps” teasing back with a wink.
He made his way towards you, placing his hands on your waist…then lifting his hand to your chin
“May I?”
“You may” You say with a smile and he pulled your lips to his. God you melted every time he kissed you
Pulling away, you wrapped your arm around him and you both made your way out to the ball
It was…magnificent to say the least
So many prince’s, princesses, guests and more, all dressed in the finest Asgardian collection the land had to offer.
Perhaps it was your own nervousness or your insecurities fuelling your mind…but its as if all eyes were on you…judging you
Your gripped tightened around Loki, signalling you weren’t comfortable
“Love are you ok?” He asked with a display of concern
“There’s…so many eyes…on you…on me” Your throat closed up as your anxiety started bubbling up
Loki took a peek around and you weren’t wrong.
There were some princesses passing whispers to one another, looking at you and laughing.
Turning around he saw a group of men pointing at you…that pissed him off
Another glance and he was met with the sight of his father talking to another royal family, specifically to a princess Odin wanted for Loki
He looked back at you and was met with his darling, shaking and panicked
“Honey look at me” He said with a stern tone
Immediately your eyes met his “Y-Yea?”
“If everyone is going to stare we might as well give them a show hm?”
“W-What?! Loki are you serious?! It’s obvious not many people like us together, or at least they don’t like me”
“So? I like you…Darling I love you…you really think I care for the opinions of others?”
“No? I just…hm…this is making me uncomfortable”
“Perhaps you would like to freshen up? Cool down? I wouldn’t want you to miss this ball” Loki has insisted
Giving it a thought it seemed like a good option…just a moment to breathe and then back out to this…nerve wrecking event
“Yea…I would like that” You smiled at him, your grip loosing up
Loki smiled and started to lead you back to your room when you were both stopped by the princess Odin had been talking to
“Ah! You must be Loki…Prince of Asgard? God of Mischief?” She asked
Loki responded to her and engaged in her conversation. It was awkward for you just standing there, so you slowly removed your arm from his and took a couple steps back
She was…gorgeous to say the least and it was clear she was trying to lead Loki to her…Was this it? Was Loki really going to leave you? You were just some low status princess…he was going to leave eventually
But as she moved her body closer to his and placed her hand by his jaw…you felt this rage erupt within you
You had no idea what came over…a confidence you couldn’t explain…but that simple action caused you to walk back to them and tugged harshly on Loki’s arm
“Love…I would really like that dance now” You smiled looking at Loki.
The princess was stunned.
Loki has smirked at you, proud and unintentionally turned on by your sudden confidence
Your hand travelled to his chest, forcing the woman to retract her arm and body. Your other hand rubbed up and down his arm…claiming him as yours
Soon Loki’s attention was all on you “Then let’s dance my darling”
Leaving the princess to her own defeat, Loki had led you to the middle of the floor and started dancing to the beat of the music
Your eyes fixed on him, Loki leaned into your ear “Suddenly my love has become so confident…were you jealous my darling?”
Biting back a chuckle you whispered in “I don’t like other people touching what’s mine”
Loki let out a laugh at your comment “Darling i’m yours just as much as you are mine…don’t forget that…”
You both kept the rhythm, matching each beat perfectly
“I must admit, seeing you gain a sudden confidence turned me on…you should be more like that…it’s good for you”
“Perhaps…although I would need some time to work on that”
Loki smiled and twirled you around as the song came to an end
Loud clapping had emerged from your graceful performance
“Darling look…all eyes are on us”
You looked around the room and they were…but now you knew they couldn’t do anything about the love you and Loki shared. No one could break the love between you both.
Loki then lead you back to your quarters and spent the night showing you just how much he loved you…

A Court of Mischief and Purpose, Chapter 20 (Loki x fem! Reader Crossover Series, A Court of Thorns and Roses AU)
Tumblr media
Series Summary: Sarah J Maas's A Court of Thorns and Roses series reimagined with Tom Hiddleston's various characters- Especially the events in the second book: A Court of Mist and Fury. England. 1885. You are dying of tuberculosis right before your upcoming wedding to the Lusty Vicar of Aldwinter, Will Ransome. As you lay on what could be your deathbed, the god of mischief Loki appears before you with a deal. He will heal you in time for the wedding...if you spend a week of every month with him.
Chapter Summary: A sudden confrontation from the enemy...
Chapter Word Count: 4K
Series Masterlist
Warnings: A sex scene that isn't smut. It isn't too explicitly described and is not meant to be super titillating and is brief.
It just occurred to me that said scene, while not explicit, could have what is considered dubious consent. Even if it is in her imagination, even though Reader verbally says "yes" in the fantasy, it is bc she is doing her duty as a wife, I can see how this is considered dub-con and could make some people too uncomfortable to enjoy the chapter. So, for your safety- It scene starts at "Now, hurry and get it over with, Will," and ends at "Then, when he was done-"
Mentions of cheating (I portray the Will/Cora affair in The Essex Serpent unsympathetically so if you have an issue with that, you have been warned). Supporting Women's Wrongs. Violence and blood implied sexual harassment, and fear of sexual assault (but it DOESN'T go there), scary stuff and angsty stuff, but a happy ending. Grammar mistakes and lack of editing or extra super revision bc I just wanted to Get This Shit Done (tm).

When you found the letters on your first wedding day, you had a life already set before you. A life that would take an obtuse turn. Where all would happen…but you would not be happy. You had often wondered if the marriage to the revered went through.
You imagined the scene. One image haunted your mind once you saw the inside of your fiancee's house. Of when he was no longer your fiancee, but swore an oath before his God to be your husband. It was after the ceremony, the celebration where you could only stare blankly at the table, barely eating. And he would hold your hand as the sky got dark and lead you to the white house, ducked his head under the doorframe to go upstairs and commence the wedding night.
You lying on that blue bed. You said “yes”, because you were a dutiful wife. A motionless doll for him to play with, for there was nothing inside you to fight now. Stiff as a board on the bed. You would lift the skirt of your shift on the blue bed. Legs open and eyes open, face away and placid, consenting because it was your duty as a wife now. That was what good women did. Now, hurry and get it over with, Will.
The Lusty Vicar…well, living up to his nickname above you to put it delicately. Hearing him grunt in your ear, and feeling him over you, inside you.
Knowing who he was thinking of. Knowing who he was imagining beneath him, in him. Knowing who it was who made him lose his bearing.
And it wasn’t you.
Your face was turned away despite the position of the act, your eyes not wanting to even look at him. Feeling his sweat and how his curls brushed against you. Hoping he wouldn’t notice. Wouldn’t ask questions. Focusing yourself on the far left corner of the ceiling and not him or what he felt like. Creating a mental distance between the two of you in the ultimate act of physical closeness. You would not fool yourself and let yourself feel the pleasure of the marriage bed now that you knew the truth. You wouldn’t think of how much you wanted him, much less how much you loved him. Thinking of what you’d make for breakfast, what the next sermon should be on, or the dishes that needed to be washed tomorrow. Not on Will as he was on you, in you.
Then, when he was done- after he read his Bible on his lap, quietly reading aloud the verses, making a note to skip the fifth chapter of Matthew, verses twenty-seven through thirty.
You would make yourself small. In a feral position with the covers of the marital bed over you. You were a woman now in the town- wedded and bedded. But you wanted to be a child. You wanted to run back home to your father and mother in tears, knowing that a good cry and a little chocolate and tea would make everything better. But no. You weren’t a child anymore. You were a woman wedded and bedded. You were a wife. A priest's wife. A priest's unwanted wife.
You wouldn’t be able to quiet your mind to dream. It would be repeating that question, endlessly, on your lips, knowing it would ruin everything the minute you said it- “Why am I not good enough for you?”
But you wouldn’t speak. A wife never considers herself, she only considers what makes her husband happy. You’d stare at the wall. Waiting for him to fall asleep, tears quietly streaming down your face. You would have melted over the erotic sight of his strong upper body normally- but it wasn’t yours. He wasn’t for you. Not really.
Then, when you were certain he was asleep, you would quietly get up and leave the room.
You ended up wandering to his study. You turned on his lamp by the window. Perhaps you should try to read a dull, intellectual, dense book of his on theology to make you sleepy. But your eyes would only be drawn to the walls.
The green, elaborate wallpaper with vines, branches, and leaves, both golden and emerald. A few white flowers in bloom. You would walk to see more of it.
What struck you most was the image of a white bird with its wings stretched open. It flew over the leaves of various green and yellow branches. Among white and blue flowers in bloom- of a new, exciting life, of promise. And most of all, the animal stretching its ivory wings as if ruled over all. Like it could escape the paper easily, soar over your head, and out the window.
How you wished you could turn into that bird. So you could stretch your wings and fly far away from the town. From him. And leave it all behind for a new place, a new life.
But you couldn’t.
You would go downstairs, past the kitchen, to the main room. downstairs to curl up on the cushions before the window overlooking the wild marshland, the town. And let yourself sob.
Thank the norns Loki called in his deal when he did. You didn’t know what would happen. He’d call in the deal, but by then, it would be too late.
I’m not in that house, I’m in the woods, you reminded yourself.
Giving a deep breath through the woodsy, clean air, you made a mental note. You’d have to give your husband, the one that was your actual husband, who was not a godly husband but a plain old god husband- that long-awaited thank you. You didn’t think you could bear going through the marriage or have the scarlet letter for jilting him at the altar without an escape plan.
You thought you would just stay in Asgard. Take care of the cauldron and Grendel all neat in a little bow. Then things changed.
You would not be that passive, sobbing victim anymore.
You had fought. You managed to take your revenge, completely.
It wasn’t the right thing to do. It wasn’t healthy. But gods, was it freeing.
As you walked further into the woods. A small laugh of relief even chuckled through you. The release, the ridiculousness, and the awe that you had done it- destroyed Will’s ministry, and his reputation, and brought physical harm to both him and Cora all without getting caught.
But…did they survive? That was quite a flame on her. It would be the same for him.
Pausing, touching a tree, you had to think it through. Develop a plan.
If they lived and said something, then the better for you. That would confirm the rumors of the affair, damning both in society. No person would want to associate with Cora at least after that. The visiting council would strip Will of his position with the evidence before them. The superstitious town would be convinced that God had stricken them as punishment for hurting his little Blessed lady. For none knew of your gifts. And none would think you even capable of any act of harm from your reputation as the town’s angel. Besides, none of them knew of your powers. How could even Cora, in her scientific high and mighty mind come up with the solution of why her coat burst into flames when you were far away?
If they lived and said nothing, then at least Will would get in some hot water over what happened.
If they died, then they died. It was their deserving death.
You paused. No, how could you dismiss that? To think- you took two more lives. Not just some nameless bullies, but two people who you met, you knew their names, their histories, and one you loved and were about to marry…you were capable of that! You did something horrible! There was more blood on your hands!
You heard the sound of a branch being stepped on from the distance behind you.
What if Cora survived and ran right after you!? Likely she would. What would you do? With the fury still in your heart, perhaps take out more of her fire and toast her in a place without witnesses until her body dissolved to ash so there would be no evidence. But what if she caught you? You could see her face twisted in her ugly crying and feel her slapping and punching you.
Not that you would have to deal with her. You were headed off somewhere she could never reach. Not even by train.
Taking a deep breath, you let those thoughts of Will and Cora go away. You were done with Aldwinter forever now. Revenge had been taken and was successful. You wanted to see your friends, your in-laws, and your True Love again. You wanted your new home.
You paused in your steps. The trees growing so thick over your head it hid the sunlight and made the woods a little darker.
There was another crunch of feet on leaves. Someone was arriving. No more time for dallying.
You opened the shield. You sent the words clear in your mind.
“Loki…I’m ready to go home…Open the portal. I want to go back to Asgard now.”
You waited one minute. Then another.
But nothing happened. The birds were barely chirping and the air was cold. Shivering, you blinked as you tried not to panic.
“Loki, I am ready now. It’s done. Open the portal, take me back to Asgard.”
Nothing. You heard none of his witty replies or promises or cheekiness. And you saw no portals. Much less Loki. There was only the rustling of the trees.
Did…did he have his shield up? Why? Did something happen in Asgard? You should keep trying.
Then…you heard something- more footsteps.
It was more than one person.
But, you heard more than one footstep. Was it a party of men? In the evenings they would go to the marshes, hunting for serpents and trickster gods with torches, scanning the waters and fields. Some began setting up charms so that their daughters would be safe. Did they realize you were missing and send a search party…
You saw one man, then two, then four. No torches, they were smirking at you like wolves with a plump, injured lamb.
You felt your stomach drop. They were Gerndel’s army.
One stepped forward with short blonde hair and was overly muscular.
“Ah…looks like we’ve caught you. Right where we want to,” he said.
You felt their eyes on your nightgown. Peeking at how your body’s outline could be seen, your breasts hinted at, and feel the air of unwanted lust. And you were one woman surrounded by men.
Terrified, you held out a hand to release fire to them.
But no flames emerged from your hand.
Hurriedly, you tried again. But nothing. Your breaths came fast and shallow and you could feel yourself shaking. They snickered as they walked forward slowly. Knowing no matter what pace they set, they would win.
You retreated, realizing they were going to back you into a tree, as you tried to back into one, they would still keep a steady pace. There was nowhere to run or hide. Bile ran up in your throat. You fought back the urge to cry. You began to gasp for air, seeing their smiles, their eyes bright over you. One unsheathed his sword with a sliiiick, and the blade gleamed brightly in the dark woods. Silver and spotless and ready to be soaked with your blood.
You tried flicking a hand again, but there were no flames. You realized your senses were dulled- you couldn’t feel or hear any presence besides the four men before you and the dark, consuming woods.
“Ah, ah, ah! Someone took a little bit of our old friend’s apples.” The blonde one taunted.
“You’ve…you’ve poisoned me!?” you cried, your voice becoming shrill.
Another, a gentleman with dark brown hair, tall and lanky, shook his head with a half laugh.
“If you dropped dead right now…where would be the fun in that? Oh, not poison. Just a littke Kunigr potion. ”
You remembered the arrow that drained Loki of his magic in Jotunheim. Then you recalled the apple, the only thing you ate today. It struck you…your mother got those apples from a new grocer in town….
It all came into place. Panic made you shake, your throat and chest tight. The brown-haired man lifted his finger, beckoning you teasingly.
“Now…come with us…we can have some fun with you if you don’t struggle. You won’t get a scratch on you…for now. And won’t Grendel be thrilled when we hear who we caught?”
You steadied your breathing. You had to steady yourself- or enough that you could act, that you could fight. Hoping, praying to whatever god was out there, the Christian God, the trickster god, anyone, that your training was enough.
The brown-haired one approached you. Quick as lightning, you punched his jaw and then kicked his groin. As he backed down, his grip on his sword loosened as he groaned in pain. In one brief second, you kicked his hand. His hold loosened and the sword fell. Quickly, you grabbed the sword by the hilt and pointed forward. You were terrified, but you would not give up. Not yet.
“Ah, now, this kitty’s got claws!” the blonde one mocked mocked.
You steeled yourself, pointing the sword. Making your hold steady.
“What, haven’t you considered that you’re outnumbered?” said the third, another brunette with a scar across his face.
You stepped forward, speaking with the powerful venom you could muster.
“Do you expect me to surrender that easily? I will not. I am the Princess of Asgard, beloved wife of the God of Mischief, and third in line to the throne. I may have lost my magic, but I am not untrained in other methods of slaughtering all of you. I have killed, I just killed, and I will kill again. And I will not die here without a fight.”
They all got out their swords.
“That’s enough chatter,” replied the first blonde.
They charged. As did you.
Thrusting the sword forward, gritting your teeth, you stabbed through the gut of one. Blood erupted and he let out a cry. He wouldn’t last long, and you pulled out the sword to hasten his meeting with his maker. As the second tried to grab you, you merely dodged low, his sword through the air. His lower body was left open. You stabbed him through the groin- quickly in and out, blood bursting into gushes as he screamed in pain.
Blood dripped from your sword in its coppery scent. One attacked you and you blocked with your sword, the metal clinging as it stung the air. You swirled around. Stabbing and cutting. Dodging blows and putting up a fight. But they were advancing on you and you had to block two swords, it was harder to keep up.
There were shouts. You turned your head and saw a glimpse that almost loosened your bladder at the sight-
Five more men were coming. Five more of Grendel’s men. You heard the swords being unsheathed and saw them glimmer even in the woods.
They were now in sight and joined their two brethren.
They were right, you were outnumbered. Seven to one. And they were starting to circle you.
Though your muscles ached from the sword, and your nightgown was splattered in some blood-you couldn’t let them win easily. You fought the urge to tremble, to cry. And you held your ground, your sword pointed. You knew your death was arriving sooner with every second, every step of their feet. Your heart hammering despite your aching muscles. You had to keep going. Somehow. Someway. You gritted your teeth and held up your sword to fight until the end. That at least you would face your end with dignity.
They raised their sword to strike at you, and you raised yours, ready to fight this futile battle and-
There was a loud, metallic growl from the distance. A sound you never heard before. So loud, that it rattled the trees. Then another.
Grendel’s men stopped and turned their heads with wide eyes. You couldn’t help but pause in wonder.
It got louder and louder and louder, something was coming. The men looked among themselves. You took their distraction to start to flee, and you made it to a tree when something pierced your field of vision.
Turning back, you saw bright lights.
Their heads turned and they grew pale, holding out arms to block the lights.
One of them grabbed you, dragging you by the collar, almost hoisting you up as you faced him, his eyes glaring into you and his blade ready at you.
“I’ll-I’ll stab you twenty times through your cunt, you little bitch!” he growled.
The sword was knocked from his hand and he cried in surprise. His grip loosened.
You both looked.
There was the sound and two lights ran by with the whirring-it then revealed what it was-
It was the thing Loki told you about. A motorcycle- and a man on it with a helmet- one hand on the steering wheel and the other around a pistol pointed at him.
The man said no reply until a bullet hit him in the shoulder. He let go of you and cried in pain.
You gasped at your rescuer- adn then realized the source of the bright lights-the other thing Loki told you about.
Through the woods, bursting through like a chariot was a car. The men of Grendel all stood, staring agape. But the motorcyclist held up his gun, pointing.
Out from the car, emerged Robert.
“Y/N! Y/N! Hurry- come in!” he urged.
“Get in the car, now!” he cried.
You let out a gasp and could have cried. You hurried to them. The men gritted their teeth and raised swords-
The motorcyclist said nothing as he lifted his weapon and aimed, quickly but steadily. The gun was fired with a loud crack in the air.
One of the goons dropped dead.
Only one of your friends you knew was capable of that, and would come from an era where he knew how to do that-
“Jonathan!” you cried out.
His helmet was still focused his gun raised. His voice distorted, but you knew it was him. Not daring to take it off to give himself a target for them to hurt him.
“The Princess of Asgard with us- let her come with us. And no one gets hurt.”
“YN! Hurry!” Robert urged.
You would not look at the scene as Jonathan began to shoot more at those who attacked. You turned on your heels and ran into the car’s side door, slamming the door shut.
You followed and jumped in. A far cry from any run-of-the-mill carriage you had been! The velvet, soft seats, and big, wide windows and space. You saw the knobs and turns and levers from the front. You covered your ears as bullets rang out. When you peeked back, the men of Grendel were dead.
Jonathan turned to Robert, nodding his head.
Jonathan got out his watch and clicked it.
“Time to go to Heimdall, let’s hurry,” Robert urged.
A portal opened in the woods.
Robert stepped on a pedal, and moved the wheel- he drove through the portal. There was a flash of bright, rainbow light swirling about you.
You landed on the other side, in a golden room. With the night sky in a large window before all. Then Robert hit the brake and parked. Jonathan’s motorcycle followed after.
You noticed a man standing in the center of the room. He walked to you, and at first, you were intimidated. There was an incredibly tall, broad man with piercing yellow eyes matching the gold of his armor and his helmet.
He spoke in a deep powerful voice- he could have been the new king of Asgard and you would have accepted it.
“Well, you both made it.”
His head turned. His golden eyes easily spotted you, not squinting though you were far away. Despite his intimidating presence, his face softened. He gave you a small bow in respect.
“I am glad for our Princess’s safe return,” he said.
“We got her just in time. Can’t blame her for being shaken,” Robert confirmed.
“Yes, I saw it all. Now hurry, all of you. All of the castle is worried for her.”
Robert drove by pulling the wheel, and then the car went down the rainbow bridge. Jonathan’s motorcycle was right behind, whirring along. Looking out, you finally realized- you felt like that white bird in flight at last. Wings stretched out, the beautiful world before you. Not only safe, not only loved- but free.
The blue sky and sun shone. The gentlest summer day. The sea that formed around you in a crystal blue-green. And you almost tore at the outline of the glittering, golden city, Asgard as it got closer, until you were driving through its streets. Passing commoners with astonished faces.
Tears welled up in your eyes as you turned to the doctor driving.
“Robert! Oh, Robert!” you cried. “You -came for me! You both did!”
Robert looked at you with a gentle smile, the speed of the car steady.
“You don’t have to be frightened, Y/N. You’re with us now- you’ll be fine,” he assured you.
You went over and kissed his cheek chastely. “Thank you!”
“Save some for Jonathan too!” he replied with a wink. He was still Robert. And Jonathan would still be Jonathan. Each of them- your friends, your friends! You were going to see them all again!
Excitement gurgled in you as Robert parked the car outside the palace. The guard's eyes flickered to the contraption, as well as the motorcycle. Jonathan parked it and then took off his helmet, his eyes serious, but his shoulder dipping in relaxation and a small smile on his face.
You ran over and gave him a big hug and he hugged you back.
“I’m glad you’re okay,” he said.
“I’m glad too,” you said.
“Now, I think it’s time you’ve reunited with your husband,” he announced.
They escorted you right into the palace through the hallways and into the throne room. You were astonished to see so many of them there, sitting and pacing about in worry. Thor and Hal were talking quietly. Thomas sitting on the steps next to Stella, doing embroidery anxiously. Queen Frigga remained as composed as she could as Sif paced around.
They all turned and there were smiles and gasps. They took in your nightgown and the blood and you- alive and breathing and seeming physically well.
At once they all gasped your name and charged into you, saying your name. Sif’s eyes flickered to Robert and then back to you.
“Did you give them hel?” she asked.
You nodded, showing her the bloodied sword still in your hand. “I gave it to all who wronged me back there, and didn’t spare Grendel’s men from it.”
She smirked. “That’s my girl.”
Stella ran forward and hugged you.
“YN! Oh, YN! You poorest thing! You gave us all a fright! I thought I would cry- I thought you would be gone forever! I missed you so much!”
You hugged her back.
“Don’t worry, I got scared-but I’ll be fine.”
Thor at once charged forward. He hugged you and lifted you so your feet didn’t touch the ground. He shook you around, hugging you like an overexcited toddler with their beloved toy.
“SISTER! My dear Sister! You are RETURNED! How victorious! My brother said he missed your signal and it FRIGHTENED him! Why, thank the NORNS!”
Hal patted at Thor and he let you down. You welcomed him with a hug.
“Well, I’m royalty as well, dear lady. You shall have no bows from me, yet the title suits you- to see you returned alive and triumphant!”
You hugged him back. “Hal, thank you!”
You then hugged Thomas as well.
“You gave Loki a scare- all of us.”
“My powers were taken away- they have to come back with time. But I’m fine- Jonathan and Robert saved me before I could get hurt,” you assured him.
Frigga even embraced you. She smiled.
“I hoped you and Loki would both realize how much you loved each other. And I thought I would never see you both happy together…I can’t even speak right now.”
She let go and cupped your face and then kissed your forehead.
“You are of Asgard now, and I welcome and bless your union and you with all of my heart,” she said.
You could have teared up.
“But, speaking of unions…where is he? Where is my husband?” you asked, looking around.
Thor folded his arms.
“He was getting the army of Asgard to go to the forest. He got scared that perhaps Jonathan and Robert wouldn’t be enough- they were preparing to search for you, but-”
You heard footsteps. And several voices.
But one stood out
Though it was a voice exactly like so many in your life, past and present, there was no denying whose name it belonged to. His voice.
“YN! YN!! All of you- stand and run firm! Destroy any who dare touch a hair on your princess’s head! Where is-”
Loki hurried forth, several guards and soldiers of Asgard behind him. His black and green robes with little gold embellishments. Typical of him, but with his black curls, ivory skin, and blue eyes, he never looked so beautiful to you before this moment. His eyes met yours and you paused. He froze, blinking. His boots almost skidded to a halt as you took each other in for a second.
Tears welling up some, you replied in a small voice. “I thought I’d never see you again, darling.”
Loki seemed to turn white, and you saw his hands shake at his sides. He frantically checked the others in the crowd. “Is this some illusion? Did mother-”
Robert clapped your back.
“We got her. This isn’t an illusion, Loki. She’s here,” he assured the god.
You cupped your mouth and he stood, breathing fast, crying tears coming out from you despite your smile. He walked again, faster, hurrying through, as if he would tear through each realm to touch you again.
You ran right into each other's arms. He picked you up and turned you again. You broke into crying again. You curled a hand behind his dark hair, kissing his lips and then his cheek and any part of him. A sound came out of you like laughter.
“Loki- Loki darling, I’m here! I’m right here!”
He broke the hug and then cupped your face.
“Are you hurt? What happened? I lost your signal! The one you promised me!”
Sniffling, you began to recount what happened.
“You were right to be worried, Loki. I was tricked into eating a Kunnigr apple. My magic was drained by the time Grendel’s men cornered me…I held them off for as long as I could. Then reinforcements came. Robert and Jonathan hurried in before I could be made prisoner or worse. They brought me here!”
There were big eyes as the others took in this information.
He hugged you again. You felt yourself shake some, crying, laughing, as if every emotion at once was washing inside you.
“How I missed you all, and…husband–my…my husband! My dear! I missed you most of all! I love you, darling! Loki- thank you! You saved me! You brought me back!”
“I would have torn Midgard to pieces to get you back- I love you, my wife,” he replied.
Your heart bursting at the fresh word, spoken from his mouth instead of in your mind, you kissed him on the lips again. Soft, but eager, demanding. Wanting to touch him, reacquaint with him. And never let go no matter what.
Hal was smiling wide and Stella was blushing pink. Jonathan looked down, trying not to laugh. Frigga merely then began to wave them off with her long sleeves. Turning away discreetly.
“Everyone…I think it’s best we let the couple have some privacy…” she suggested. Everyone gave a farewell smile, with a promise of a return.
Loki only held your hands and hurried you through the halls, the guards not behind you, right to where his chambers were.
“But…Grendel, the cauldron-what will we do?” you asked.
Loki caught you in his arms and you gasped. Carrying you, he led you to the threshold of his private room. He smiled mischievously.
“I think the Grendel matter could wait for a few minutes, don’t you agree?” your true love asked.

“I’ve got to give it to you Stark, you sure know how to throw a party.” You congratulated, eyes running over the decadent hall littered with New York’s most elite. Usually whenever Tony was hosting a party, he’d hire a mansion; however, considering this party had fewer guests and renovations in the tower had just been completed, he opted for a home party. As soon as you got the invite, you jumped at the chance of seeing the team again, most importantly the dark haired prince. Considering you were a SHIELD agent, you rarely interacted with the team as a whole however you did know them all well individually, especially Tony hence why you were the only person from your department in attendance.
“You know me, I love parties.” He smiled in agreement, looking around the room too.
“Ooo, looking good.” Natasha chimed in, joining the conversation.
“Thanks Nat” you grinned “not so bad yourself.” You winked before a few others wandered towards the three of you.
“Woah” Bucky began, pausing as he took you in “you’ve—changed.” He finished, eyeing you suspiciously.
“Thanks?” You snorted in reply.
“In a good way” he rushed out “a really really good way.”
“Evening y/n.” Steve smiled.
“Hey Cap.” You saluted, hand falling when your gaze met someone else’s.
“Well, aren’t you just divine.” Loki smiled coyly, dipping his head slightly before lifting your hand and placing a kiss on the back of it.
“Hello Loki.” You answered, trying to hide the deep desire you felt for him at this moment. Your eyes mapped one another as the sounds of the people around you faded out until the only thing you heard was your increasing heartbeat. You felt a slight pang of smugness when his eyes lingered on your chest for a moment, this dress was perfect. You had decided on a little black dress, nothing too extravagant just a cocktail strap, cowl neck, small leg slit dress which by looking at Loki’s expensive black suit was an ideal fit. You were both matching as if you had planned this prior. When the previously drowned out sounds came into focus again, you realised how long you had been staring at Loki and wondered if you looked as desperate as you felt. You waited for a few more moments, wondering if he was going to make a move so when he didn’t, you acted. “Well, come on soldiers, let’s dance.” You announced, linking arms with Steve and Bucky, catching a glimpse of Loki from the corner of your eye with his jaw clenched.
You, Bucky and Steve ventured over to the bar before you began dancing. It was fun, the three of you together like that. Close. It was nice. The guys who had spent half the night ogling you looked away instantly when they saw you with the super soldiers. They were protective in nature without even knowing it. When the music slowed slightly, Steve got more drinks whilst you danced with Bucky. His hands found your waist as you swayed feeling someone staring daggers at you both. When you had eventually turned 180 degrees, you realised it was Loki who was watching you both with an unreadable expression. Your lips curled up into a small smirk.
“You’re totally screwing her right.” Natasha spoke making Loki visibly flinch, he was too engrossed in you to take in the rest of his surroundings.
“Screwing” Loki scoffed, barely taking his eyes off of you “I would have preferred the term copulating or even fucking and for your information we are not doing any of those things.” He assured.
“Wow, really?” Natasha almost gasped.
“Well” Loki began, a smile playing on his lips in reminiscence “there was this one time we—well—let’s just say there was a lot of kissing as well as some heavy petting but nothing else.”
“So you’re not screwing her but want to screw her?” Natasha figured.
“Why are you being so crude all of a sudden?” Loki questioned defensively.
“Noted.” Natasha smirked before walking away, Loki calling after her before falling silent as she made her way towards you.
“Scoot boys.” Natasha instructed once she made it to you.
“Hey sexy.” You grinned at her as she replaced your dance.
“Loki was checking you out.” She spoke in your ear as you both moved closer together. There were few people you confided in, especially when it related to matters of the heart but Natasha always worked things out before you told her so you always did, tell her, there was no point keeping secrets.
“Wait, what, really?” You replied, eyes widening.
“Are you blind girl? He definitely wants to fuck you.” She cheered.
“Nat! Don’t be so crude” you whisper shouted, your back to him “does he?”
“Yes.” She giggled.
“What do I do, just go up to him and say hey, wanna share my bed tonight?” You mocked “It’s not that funny.” You added, noticing Natasha’s giggle progressing onto a chuckle as she looked just past you.
“It’d be my pleasure.” Loki practically purred from behind you as you froze, eyes rounding. You were rooted in your place, embarrassed over the fact that he had heard you that you hadn’t even realised Loki had replaced Natasha in front of you.
“You weren't supposed to hear that.” You laughed nervously, completely aghast.
“Wasn’t I?” He answered with a smirk causing one to eventually replace your aghast expression as you eyed each other again. “My lips have missed yours” he simpered “my hands ache to to touch your body” he continued, placing his hands on your hips sending shivers down your spine “my body yearns for your own” he whispered, lowering his head to speak into your ear “I want you whimpering and writhing beneath me so you never have to imagine how it feels to be fucked by a god ever again.” He finished, kissing that perfect spot just underneath your ear leaving you practically melting against him, a wetness pooling between your legs.
“Let’s go.” You murmured, needing relief.
“Not yet Angel, I want you desperate for me” he snickered, quickly sparing a glance around before trailing his hand up your thigh until it was underneath your dress “wet for me.” He insisted, cupping your pussy for a moment, a moment of pure ecstasy. You whined when his hand left you, wondering whether you should tell Loki that if he just slipped his fingers past your panties he’d be able to tell you were exceedingly ready for him but there was just something daunting about telling an Asgardian prince to touch you there again in front of a room full of people. Instead, you decided to press your body against his as you danced.
You spent a while dancing together, barely breaking apart. Whenever you were facing each other, your gazes were intense, a plethora of unspoken dirty thoughts being exchanged telepathically. When you’d spin around, you’d already miss him despite feeling his hands running up your sides. Occasionally a few guests broke you apart, wanting to speak with Loki who confidently greeted them as if he wasn’t sporting a semi after being pressed to you all night. Once they left, you took your rightful position against him; obviously he wanted you just as much as you wanted him.
“I can’t take it anymore Loki, you’re killing me.” You mithered. “Come on, I know you want me just as bad.” You smiled mischievously, spinning around, grinding your ass against his now obvious boner. His hands rested against your hips, grip tightening as a groan escaped him. “Whisk me away to your room Loki.” You finished knowing your fate was sealed.
Time moved seemingly quicker as you and Loki made your escape with rushed goodbyes. Once you reached the elevator, your hands barely left one another as you kissed passionately, your back against one of the metallic walls. Loki lifted you as you wrapped your legs around his waist, breaking the kiss when the elevator doors opened. Your breaths were labored as Loki carried you to his room.
“Go on then sweetie, open it.” He prompted when you reached the door. You pushed it open, Loki entering before placing you down, lips finding yours again. The door slammed closed as you hit it with your back, Loki pinning you against it. His tongue pushed past yours, claiming your mouth as his hand cupped your breast. When you needed to break for air, Loki’s lips traveled across your neck, nipping and sucking before he kissed his way down the valley of your breasts. He unclothed one, bringing the hardened nipple to his mouth before circling it with his tongue leaving your back arching off of the door. You barely had time to steady yourself before Loki was moving lower, kneeling on the ground. His hands were underneath your dress, tugging your panties down before he tapped the back of your left leg, prompting you to step out of them. You did, balancing with a hand on Loki’s shoulder. Once they were discarded, Loki littered kisses over your thighs, lifting one of your legs over his shoulder revealing your slick folds to him. He looked up at you, eyes dreamily looking into yours in a thankful expression as if you were the god with a loyal votery kneeling before you. Loki, this new found disciple waited for your small nod before his head disappeared underneath your dress as he flattened his tongue against your cunt. You moaned as he licked a firm stripe from your entrance to your clit, leaving no time before he did it again. His tongue explored your centre promptly leaving no place untouched. You heard him groaning against you, felt him groaning against you as his lips wrapped around your clit. He sucked, slowly, gently as you tried to keep yourself standing. He moved his head side to side, flicking your clit with his tongue as your panting turned to moans.
“Loki I’m so closee, fuck, don’t stopp.” You urged, grinding your hips against his face. He didn’t stop, sucking your cunt ardently until you came, coating his face in your arousal as he slowed his pace to light licks, prolonging your orgasm until you were too overstimulated for him to continue. You pushed his shoulder, Loki understanding that you wanted him to stop. He moved from underneath your dress, licking his lips before standing up again, kissing you. His firm cock, stiff against his trousers, prodded you as you deepened the kiss, tasting yourself on him before pulling apart. “I need you to fuck me.” You spoke, less of a request, more of an order. Loki, loyal devotee, reached behind you, unzipping your dress. You took this as an opportunity to rid him of his clothes too, starting with his trousers.
You made your way onto his bed once you were both bare. You felt his cock sliding through your slick folds, your walls eager to accommodate him. His tip was nudging at your entrance, begging to fill you but Loki was too preoccupied with kissing you. He loved kissing you. Deciding to take initiative, you reached between you, wrapping your hand around his length before guiding him inside, both of you moaning as he entered.
“Fuckk.” He hissed as he bottomed out. It took mere moments for you to get used to his size before you were begging him to move. Slowly at first, he moved, pulling out completely before slipping inside again. The sound of him fucking you was salacious, wet. It reverberated around the room, the sound of your combined pleasure. Eventually you rolled over, positioning yourself on top of Loki as he guided your movements with his hands on your hips. You barely broke eye contact, Loki occasionally glancing down as he watched himself disappear inside of you. “Do that thing you like, when you rut against me.” He gritted out. You remembered the time you and Loki were making out, you were both fully clothed as you straddled him, rutting against his stiffening cock. Your movements changed from a bounce to a grind as your eyes closed tightly in rapture, your clit moving against his pelvis. “You’re so wet baby” Loki cooed, using his thumb to draw circles over your clit “perfect pussy, you feel perfect” he praised, tapping it “I want to kiss her” he spoke, holding his thumb against the bundle of nerves as you moaned, looking down at him “want me to kiss her, hmm? Want me to suck your pussy again?”
“Fuckk, Loki I’m gonna cum.” You warned between moans as his words penetrated your ears.
“It’s okay baby, you can cum, cum for me, cum for your god.” He prompted, his words sending you reeling as your walls clamped down around him, body stiffening as you came.
“Oh god.” You mewled.
“Not a god, your god.” He nodded, another wave of pleasure consuming you as he held you down against him before fucking up into you.
“Ughhh my god my—g—oh fuckkk.” You cried, another orgasm hitting you as Loki continued pounding you, your overstimulated walls thrumming around him. The room was engulfed by your shrill moans as Loki sought his own climax. “Ohhh fuckkk Lokii.”
“Give me another one, I know you can Angel, cum for me again.”
There were tears welling in your eyes as Loki rubbed fast circles over your clit.
“Come on, I can feel it, you’re close.” He grinned.
“Lokii—I—fuckk.” You screamed.
“That’s it, just like that, let go my goddess.” He encouraged, reaching his peak too as you both came. Exhausted, you collapsed against him as you rode out your highs, Loki’s arms wrapping around your back before he started stroking it. You both fell asleep like that, completely naked, Loki softening inside of you.

what if there a timeline where Loki's variant is still an Asgardian Prince, but Mobius' variant is an Asgardian citizen...? look it has been shown that a variant can be anyone anywhere, so im running with this, very far.
would Mobius meet Loki somehow and tell his bullshit straight to his face regardless of his rang? hell yeah. would Loki be absolutely furious and surprised of such accusations, but would still want to kiss him? definitely.
i rest my case. i might write this, but i might not.
