May stepped through the door and almost cried out at the sight of Peter alive and well in a hospital bed with Tony at his side. They were cuddled together on the hospital bed, Peter tucked into Tony’s side. His torso was wrapped in bandages. Tony had a few cuts on his face. His arm was in a sling.
They both looked up and two matching sets of big brown eyes immediately met her own.
“Oh my god,” May gasped. She raced to the bed as Benji squealed for his daddy. May all but tossed Benji into Tony’s lap as she pulled Peter into her arms.
“Is that a baby-? Oh! Hi, May. I’m okay. I swear, I’m okay.”
“You look like a mummy.” She pressed a kiss to his head and then another and another. “Oh my god, sweetie. I love you. I love you so much.”
Peter clung to her a bit. “It’s really- five years?”
May pulled back fractionally. She smoothed his curls down. “Hi, honey.”
“Hi.” He glanced at Benji and back. “Did you have a baby?”
Tony turned Benji on his lap to face Peter. “This is your brother, Benji. Benji, this is Peter. Can you say Peter?”
“Pee!”
Tony turned to Peter. “Tough luck, kid. You’re Pee now.”
Peter tilted his head as he studied the baby. He turned to Tony and then to May. “Oh my god,” he breathed. “Oh my god.”
“He conned me into marrying him,” May said.
“Because I’m a genius,” Tony scoffed.
“And he got me pregnant so I couldn’t run away.”
“Genius.”
“Oh my god,” Peter said again. He stared at the baby with wide eyes. “Uh, hi? Benji?”
“Short for Benjamin.”
Peter’s face softened. “That’s nice.”
“We thought so,” Tony agreed.

peter man?
Tumblr media
chapter one: a not so fun necklace.
Peter Parker x Winterwidow/Buckynat's daughter! reader.
Dreams, by the Cranberries.
"Oh, my life is changing everyday... In every possible way."
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Her eyes darted between her father and her mother. Another staring contest, fun.
Her mothers green eyes staring into her father's icy blue ones.
Y/n just stood up and carefully walked out of the compound kitchen and into her room and saw Peter already there and she sighed, kicked her slippers off and jumped onto him, since he was laying on his bed and snuggled into his side.
"Hi Peter man." She said teasingly and earned an audible groan from him.
"Why are you calling me that..." he mumbled and wrapped his arms around her body and let her snuggle into him.
He had learned that snuggling was her way of coping with her past in the Red Room, a way to learn that physical contact can be okay.
"Because it's funny, Spider Parker." She giggles and looked up at him with her soft Y/e/c eyes and looked into his warm and comforting brown eyes.
But he can't be mad, he never wanted to not be snuggling her.
But that doesn't mean he can't get annoyed by her.
He groans loudly and rolled over on top of her, earning a loud 'Oomf' from her.
He laid on top of her, putting his whole body weight on her.
"Oh you asshole." She groans and he chuckles as he laid on her.
"C'mon, you enjoy it, don't lie." He said cheekily, and he put his hands on her stomach. His hand going her her shirt a bit, he felt her scars...but they made her fucking beautiful to him.
She rolled her eyes and held him tightly.
"Shut up..." She mumbled into his hair as he had his face in the crook of her neck. He giggles and traced her scares lightly, his rough and calloused hand on the scar tissue felt delicate.
He felt to coolness of her right bionic hand on the nape of his neck, people would beget all weird by it, but like how Natasha was with Bucky, he saw through the arm and just the person, the person whom they both truly love.
Tumblr media
It was dinner time, all of the Avengers were sitting down eating.
And dinner always consisted of Bucky and Sam Arguing, Tony wiggling his eyebrows at Peter, Natasha glaring at Tony, Wanda reading the teens minds and giggling, Loki not caring for the young Peter but always giving encouraging smiles to Y/n, Thor not knowing whats going on, Bruce not caring really, Steve trying to calm down Bucky and Sam, Clint not caring and trying to eat, Somehow Vision even knows the love between Y/n and Peter.
In a nutshell it was normal until Pietro started something quiet interesting...
"Peter, Y/n?" He asked, his accent thick as he stood up. Everyone raised their eyebrows s he grabbed a fistful of pasta and threw it at Y/n.
"I declare, a food fight."
Everyone's eyes widen and Thor immediately threw garlic bread at the speedsters face. Tony lets out a cackle and threw a meatball at Steve's face.
Then a war had begun. Peter and Y/n had hid under the table with cookies in hand as the adults were throwing pasta all over each other.
Y/n giggles and Peter sighed and looked at her, her delicate features. And she turned and they made eye contact
And that was when it felt as if everything slowed down. Their eyes looking into one another, and they just felt so connected. And slowly, inch, by inch they leaned in... and they got so close, that only their noses touched.
He could smell her perfume, the addicting coffee, lavender and vanilla.
She was just addicting to him.
His left hand went to her cheek and the back of her neck, inching closer and closer...
Then Thor lifted the table up, and the two pulled away quickly and sh threw a cookie at him and jumped up, then helped Peter up, their faces bright red. Now, EVERYONE knew.
But, being the two hopeless idiots they didn't.
"Man of spiders! Lady of Metal Arms! I have found you!" Thor boomed happily and gave a knowing grin and wiggled his eyebrows in very, very obvious way.
Tumblr media
Y/n was currently on her bed, with her mother, Wanda and Pepper stopped by to see what she missed since she missed dinner.
"You two almost kissed?!" Pepper yelled and Wanda shushed her and Natasha sighed.
"F.R.I.D.A.Y, can you sound proof the room?" Natasha said to the AI and the room became sound proof.
Natasha takes a deep breath then she started.
"Y/n Rebecca Barnes, you have to tell him you like him!" She yelled and stood up and started pacing while she spoke to her daughter.
"If you don't tell him he will never know!" Pepper nodded and added to Natasha.
"It is so clear he is in love with you!" Wanda nodded and also added.
"You know, I have never felt so much love for a person then he does for you..."
Y/n sighed and rubbed her temples and laid back on her bed, and groans, the metal of her hand helping her nerves.
But little did she know, that in Peters room. There was all of the boys trying to comfort a very, very anxious spider.
"Kid, if she didn't like you should would have pulled away or not lean in at all." Steve sighed and Bucky just looked uncomfortable.
Tony puts his hand on his shoulder and said.
"You should have made out with her quicker-"
"Stark! Do you forget that she is my daughter?" Bucky snapped and Tony chuckled and whispered to Peter.
"Don't forget about Papa-Bear." And Steve sighed as he had to restrain his childhood best friend.
"B-Buck! Don't you dare make me get Natasha." Steve said firmly and Bucky stopped and whispers.
"You wouldn't dare to get Natalia." He seethed out and Steve sighed and yelled.
"Natasha! Bucky is trying to kill another Stark."
Tony grimaced and everyone else had to stifle down a laugh. And Bucky just rolled his eyes as Natasha walked in and started speaking in rapid Russian with Bucky.
"Seriously, James? What did he do this time?" Natasha asked in Russian.
"He was talking about how he should have made out with our daughter earlier!" He responded.
All she did was let out a small chuckle and said.
"He has a point, James."
"Natalia, no."
"Natalia yes."
He scoffed and rolled his eyes as she dragged him out of the room and eventually all of the others walked out as well. After a few minutes, Y/n sneaked into his room, like usual, in her pajamas and snuggled into his side.
Something they do nightly, his arms around her waist and he face in his chest as she listens to his heart beat.
"Peter..?" She mumbled softly into his chest and he looked down at her and whispered.
"Yeah, princess?" She looked up and sighed as she nuzzled into him more.
"I'm scared..." she mumbled and he sighed and held her tightly.
"The nightmares?"
She nodded and he thought for a moment and he got close to her ear and whispered.
"You wanna stay with me?" She looked up and nodded, solace was what she needed.
He smiles and moved her so she could get under the sheets and blankets, he practically engulfed her with blankets and himself.
She giggles and nuzzled into his chest and mumbled.
"Good night, Peter man."
He didn't roll his eyes but he kissed her forehead and whispered.
"Good night, Stargirl." She blushed a deep magenta when he said her hero name, and when he kissed her forehead.
Lord he knew how to make her melt like a candle.
And just like that, she fell asleep.
In the arms with the one, and only guy she wants.
But the nightmares of her getting choked by The Winter Soldier and his metal arm will always come.
How his hand was a not so fun necklace.

when (s)he sees me > p.p.
Word Count: 3.7k
Ship: Peter Parker x Reader
Warnings: Some angst near the end!
Peter Parker is in love with his partner Y/N Y/L/N. One small problem, he hasn't told them yet. But he has a plan, a great plan, and he's going to tell Y/N how he feels.
Link to post on AO3- this version was tweaked a little bit.
✨ Masterlist ✨
Part Two!
Tumblr media
-Peter Parker-
“Today’s the day I’m going to do it.” Peter said as he closed his locker. “I’m going to tell Y/N I love them.” Ned eyed his best friend, a look of disbelief in his eyes.
“That’s what you said last week. And the week before.” Ned said as he took his books out of his locker. “I can’t blame you for chickening out, they’re intimidating. Like MJ."
“MJ’s not intimidating.” Ned scoffed and Peter paused before he spoke again. “Okay, yeah, she’s terrifying. But Y/N isn’t. They’re sweet, and May loves them. Mr. Stark’s been begging me to bring them to the compound so he could meet them, or he would ‘investigate the kid that’s dating his kid.’”
“Wait, he called you his kid?” Ned asked.
“He totally did, even though he changed the subject immediately after he let it slip. And I saw Ms. Black Widow this weekend and I told her about it, and apparently it wasn’t the first time he’s called me ‘his kid.’” Peter noticed the wide-eyed look in his best friend’s eyes and shushed him. “Don’t you dare repeat that.”
“I can’t believe you met her. You better not tell MJ, she’d bully you until you introduced them.” Ned said and then paused before he spoke. “But how do you plan on-”
“Ooh, a plan. I love scheming, what are we doing?” A new voice filled Peter’s ears, and Peter turned around with a smile.
“Hi.”
“Hi.” Peter wrapped his arms around you, and it was your turn to smile when Peter’s lips brushed against yours, and Peter welcomed the familiar taste of your cherry chapstick.
“Ugh, get a room.” MJ said as she walked over, and Peter stepped back from you with his cheeks tinged red.
“Oh, shut up.” The sound of your laughter made Peter’s heart skip a beat and then you turned to face Peter again. “So, what were you and Ned talking about?”
“You know, top secret stuff. Very important… guy stuff?”
“Guy stuff?” Peter’s breath hitched as your eyes studied his face, and he wondered if this is how specimens under a microscope felt. “O..kay. Guy stuff can be a secret.” The first bell rang and you groaned. “Having pre-cal first thing in the morning is the worst. MJ and I will see you in third period. Have fun with your ‘guy stuff.’ I know it’s code for Star Wars.” You kissed Peter’s cheek before you left with MJ, saying bye to Ned as you walked away.
“Is not!” Peter called after you before he turned to Ned.
“Guy stuff?”
“Shut up.”
~Y/N~
“Peter’s planning something.” You said as you sat on top of MJ’s desk. You had a substitute teacher who could not care less about teaching for your second period today, so the entire class was doing their own thing. You chose to sit with MJ and talk while she doodled on your hand.
“Obviously.” MJ chuckled, a hint of a smirk on her lips. “I know he’s a little extra dorky around you regardless, but he seemed on edge today.”
“Right?” You leaned your head back against the wall, grateful for MJ’s corner desk. “You think that would’ve worn off by now.”
“Dude, you intimidate him. Even after, what, three months of dating?”
“How in the hell do I intimidate him? He’s dated me for three months, and I cried in front of him and May when we watched this sad dog movie two weeks ago.”
“Because you’re hot.” You raised a brow as you glanced at MJ.
“I’m hot so I intimidate him?”
“Get rid of all your personal biases towards Peter and think about it. He had a little crush on Liz and could barely even speak to her. And before you and him started dating, he never dated anyone.”
“Neither have I.” Your brows furrowed and MJ groaned, causing a few people to look over for a second before they turned back to their own things.
“But you’ve been asked out by a couple guys and girls since you started last year. That’s not Peter’s experience at all, and he’s probably feeling like you’re out of his league. Waiting for the shoe to drop and waiting for you to realize that.”
“He really thinks that?” You frowned and closed your eyes, and you tried to wrap your mind around what MJ had told you. Note to self- make everyone who ever doubted Peter or made him feel bad about himself regret it. The bell ringing snapped you out of your daze, and MJ patted your arm.
“Come on, let’s go see lover boy.”
-Peter Parker-
“You’re strangely quiet today, kid. It’s kind of creepy, I don’t think there’s been a single day since I’ve met you that you’ve been quiet.” Mr. Stark said and Peter kept his eyes glued on his chemistry homework. Homework always came before lab time, Tony was serious about Peter’s schoolwork. And Peter would never admit it, but it made him really happy how much his mentor cared about him- not just Spider-Man.
“You’re always telling me how important homework and school is, but now I’m too quiet because I’m doing homework? Sounds a bit hypocritical, Mr. Stark.” Tony smiled at Peter’s comeback; that was the kid he knew. Now he just had to push delicately where Peter wouldn’t notice he was pushing.
“Teenagers, FRIDAY. They’re such brats nowadays.” Tony tossed his screwdriver to the side and he walked over to Peter, peering over his shoulder to see what he was working on. “Covalent bonds? You can do this in your sleep, Pete. Something else is racing through that big brain of yours.”
“Covalent bonds can be very complicated.” Peter said. Very subtle, Mr. Stark. “Just so you’ll stop bugging me, it’s Y/N. You know we’ve been dating for a few months.”
“But you won’t even let me do a background check on them.”
“I think I’m ready to tell them I love them.” Peter admitted. “And I don’t know how to do it. It’s my first time telling them, or anyone, that. And it’s too big of a moment to just casually drop in conversation.” Peter let his head drop to the counter with a thud and Tony ignored the curse that he muttered under his breath.
“Shit.” Tony said after a moment.
“Really helpful.” Tony ruffled Peter’s hair as he took a seat beside him.
“You know Y/N better than anyone, kid. It doesn’t have to be some grand extravaganza. The first time I told Pepper I loved her wasn’t intentional, but I meant it.” Tony said and Peter raised his head, his interest now piqued.
“How did you tell her?”
“Pepper and I had to work all night one day back when we were in Malibu, we had a little security breach, so I made breakfast the next morning to thank her for staying when she didn’t have to. I made us omelets, made a pot of coffee, and it was a really domestic moment. We ate in silence, exhausted from working all night. I cleaned up and before Pepper left to get ready for work, I kissed her goodbye and said I love you. I don’t think either of us processed it until we were at work, then we discussed it. A couple of weeks later, she told me she loved me over dinner.” Tony smiled, and Peter noticed a special type of fondness in his eyes, a look he recognized as one reserved for Pepper.
“I like that.” Peter hummed, the wheels in his head churning. “Dinner sounds good.” Tony clapped Peter’s shoulder.
“Speaking of dinner, are you staying for dinner tonight? Sam’s cooking tonight, and he’s honestly the best cook here. And Wanda’s been in a baking mood lately, so there’s cupcakes as well. I’m sure if you ask her, she’ll give you an extra one for Y/N.” Tony winked and Peter groaned.
“I’m going back to my homework. Then we need to work on my suit.” A brief pause. “Someone may have… swiped at me on after school patrols. With a knife.”
“...Someone what?”
~Y/N~
“How do we like this?” You stepped in front of your phone, propped against a stack of books on your desk. You were on a video call with MJ, and this was the third outfit you had tried on.
“Keep the pants, change the top. What about that dark green top from your first outfit?” MJ suggested and you gasped.
“You’re a damn genius, I love you so much. Be right back.” You said as you walked out of the camera’s viewpoint to change.
“Where are you two going?”
“Just dinner at his apartment.” MJ opened her mouth to question you, but you beat her to it. “Him, May, and Tony fucking Stark. The man is a genius, and don’t get me started on Pepper Potts. If I were into business at all, she’d be who I aspired to be.”
“Befriend them enough so you can invite me over to meet Black Widow. She could use her Widow Bites on me, and I’d thank her.” MJ fell back against her bed, and you laughed as you finished getting ready. A couple of minutes later, your phone vibrated and you read the text on your screen.
Peter <3: ‘here when you’re ready x :)’
“While you daydream, I’m gonna head out. Peter’s here.” You grabbed your jacket and your apartment keys, then grabbed your phone. “I’ll text you when I’m back.”
“You better. Be safe.” MJ’s voice went up into a teasing tone, and you raised your middle finger. “Love you, loser.”
“Love you, nerd. Bye!” You ended the video call before you switched to messages and opened your conversation with Peter.
‘on my way down now. see you soon! <3’
-Peter Parker-
What happens then? If when she holds me My heart is set in motion
“Please don’t embarrass me, Mr. Stark.” Peter pleaded once he got your last text. “I’m already so nervous, I feel sick.”
“Not in the car, kid. Go outside if you need to-”
“Mr. Stark!” Peter whined and Tony chuckled.
“I promise. No embarrassing you, for the car ride. Best I can do.” Peter opened his mouth to protest but Tony cut him off. “Is that them?” Peter looked out the window and saw you, and his heart skipped a beat. You looked amazing, and Peter suddenly became hyper-aware of his own outfit. God, he hoped he looked nice enough. With a gentle shove from Tony, Peter got out of the car and called out your name.
“Wow, nice ride.” You said as you walked over, a bright smile on your lips. “A bit much considering I live within walking distance to your apartment.”
“Yeah, that’s… that’s Mr. Stark for you.” Peter chuckled nervously, and you brought your hand to his chin and lifted it up. Peter swore his heart rate became erratic from the gesture and he was grateful you couldn’t hear it.
“Hey. It’s just me. You don’t have anything to be so nervous about.” As if you were sealing a promise, you pressed a kiss to Peter’s lips. “Now, we should probably get in the car.”
“Yeah, yeah. Here, let me.” Peter was thankful his brain worked enough to open the door to the backseat for you, and you thanked him before you got in. Peter followed after you and he leaned back into the seat with a sigh. God, he was going to struggle to get through the night.
“So, you’re the famous Y/N I’ve heard so much about.” Tony said as he drove, and Peter wished he could web Mr. Stark’s mouth shut.
“Depends on what he told you.” You teased and your knee nudged against Peter’s. Your way of telling him ‘it’s okay.’ “The good things were me, and the bad things were probably me as well.”
“I literally can’t name a single ‘bad thing’ you’ve done, except for not like Star Wars.” Peter said and the two of you began to bicker about the franchise, with Tony occasionally chipping in with his limited knowledge he only had because of Peter. Tony felt honored to be a part of this moment, and the smile on Peter’s face would be in his memory forever.
~Y/N~
“Dinner was amazing, May. Thank you so much for having me over.” You started to clean up your plates, and May ‘tsked’ at you.
“Of course, Y/N. You know you’re always welcome here. And don’t worry about the plates, Tony and I will take care of it.” Tony looked as if he was going to protest, but May silenced him with a look.
“Go on and skedaddle, the adults have this.” You stood up and Peter did the same. Peter glanced in the direction of his room and you nodded.
“We’ll be in my room if you need anything, May. Thank you.”
“Tony or I will come get you when we need to take Y/N home.” May smiled and you both dismissed yourselves before you left for Peter’s room. Peter shut the door, ignoring Tony’s protests, and you sat in a beanbag on the floor.
“Ugh, whatever May ordered for dinner was fantastic. I feel stuffed.” You said and Peter took a seat in the beanbag beside yours. You smiled as you felt Peter’s hand hesitate to hold yours, so you grabbed his hand and laced your fingers together. “Is everything okay, Peter? You’ve been off the last few days, did I do something to upset you?”
“No, no, no, no, no. You did nothing wrong I promise.” Peter said and he squeezed your hand, but you couldn’t tell if the gesture was supposed to comfort you or him. “I had a whole speech planned, but I would make an even bigger idiot of myself if I tried to say it right now, so I’m just gonna tell you this. I love you, Y/N.”
I'm not prepared for that I'm scared of breaking open
And in that moment, your heart stopped. You always imagined being told ‘I love you’ for the first time would give you butterflies, not what felt like a snake twisting your insides. You knew you would be filled with emotion, but not the complete panic you felt now.
When it came to fight or flight, you had a habit of flight- almost always. And this time, no matter how much you wanted to stay, you couldn’t. I’m so sorry, Peter.
“I have to go.” You stood up and you kept your eyes away from Peter’s face. You had to stay strong, and if you looked at him, your resolve would break and you’d stay. Or you would turn into a cornered animal and lash out until you were free, leaving Peter utterly heartbroken in your path of destruction. You had to get out of here.
“What? You can’t, you can’t just leave.” Your eyes began to water when Peter’s voice cracked, and you could practically see the tears in his beautiful brown eyes.
“I can’t do this, Peter. I need to leave, I have to walk back to my apartment.” You cursed internally when your own voice shook. You can’t do that, Y/N, you’re better than this. You can cry when you’re alone.
“Please… Stay? With me. We, we can talk this through, or-or we can pretend this never happened, but please-”
“Peter!” You cut off his rambling. “I’m leaving, whether I have to go out your fire escape or through your front door. There’s no talking this through, and we sure as hell can’t pretend this never happened. You told me you loved me, Peter.”
“Because I do. And I thought you did, too.”
“Well I don’t.” Liar. “I don’t do love anymore, I can’t. I, I just can’t. And I’m sorry for getting you involved in my mess. You deserve better, and now you can get it.”
“I had the best I could ever want.” A single tear slid down your cheek as you made sure you had all your things.
“Goodbye, Peter.” You walked out of Peter’s room, leaving the one person you could actually love behind in the destruction you caused. You quickly said goodbye to May and Tony, making up a lie about a family emergency, and you shut the door behind you. You ran down the hallway, down the steps of the building, and the cool night air felt like a slap to the face in comparison to the coziness of May’s apartment that you could never feel again. God, you were going to miss her.
You ignored the non-stop vibrating of your phone, knowing it was MJ, Ned, or Peter. You began the walk back to your apartment, and you whipped around when you heard a familiar voice.
“You look like you could use a ride.” Tony Stark had followed you, and he was parked beside you with his window rolled down.
“I’m fine.” You protested and then it thundered loudly.
“Sounds like it’s going to rain soon.” Tony said casually, as if he didn’t care whether you got soaked from the rain or not. But if he didn’t care, he wouldn’t still be here.
“If this is your ruse to abduct me, it’s not very creative for a genius.” You said but turned to walk towards the passenger seat of Tony’s car, and you got in. Perfect timing as the sound of raindrops hit the windshield. One or two taps every few seconds at first, then a steady hum. If you were at home, it would be peaceful. But you were too on edge to enjoy it.
“Trust me, kid. I have former spies on speed dial. If I wanted to abduct you, you’d never even know.” The words from anyone else would be creepy, but Tony had an advantage with his charisma and charm.
“Only if you call the Black Widow. My friend really wants to meet her.” You found yourself joking, regardless of the ache in your heart. You leaned back against the seat in an attempt to relax before you spoke again. “Alright, level with me. Why are you here with me instead of Peter?”
“He wanted his aunt instead of me. Which is fair, I’m not exactly the comforting type.” Tony said and you tilted your head, not believing his last sentence. The way Peter spoke about him, it was like he was completely and utterly perfect.
“That doesn’t explain why you picked me up instead of going back home.”
“Touché.” Tony ran his hand through his hair. “I guess I was just curious about what went down, from your perspective.”
“What’s there to say? Peter told me he loved me, and I freaked out.” You found yourself spilling your guts to the man, something about the energy that surrounded him made him feel safe.
“I figured that. Peter asked me for advice about dropping those three words, and when you bolted, I figured he had told you. But something tells me there’s something deeper than that.”
“Wow, you really are a genius.” Sarcasm dripped from your tongue. “Obviously it’s something deeper, the average person doesn’t exactly run whenever they hear their partner say ‘I love you,’ do they?”
“Because you’re talking to an expert on average people here, right?” Tony matched your sarcasm, and you respected him for it.
“That’s fair.” You jumped when it thundered especially loud, and Tony looked at you.
“We should probably get you home, yeah?” You nodded. Tony put his car into drive and pulled into the road, and he began to drive you home. “I would say I don’t normally do stuff like this, but you’re the first of Peter’s friends I’ve actually met. So there really isn't a baseline of what's normal or not.”
“Ned hasn’t met you yet?”
“Peter and Ned have been trying to convince his mother to let him come to the compound for weeks now, but she hasn’t budged yet.” Tony said and you chuckled. Mrs. Leeds was an amazing woman, but god, she was a stubborn woman as well.
“You should pick them up from school one day. Ned may pass out, but he’ll be fine after that.” Tony laughed and you couldn’t help but laugh as well. “But you didn’t have to give me a ride, so thank you.”
“You’re welcome. And I know my opinion doesn’t matter, it’s your life and all, but I think if you can get past whatever happened in your past, you and Peter seemed to be a good couple. And I definitely never do this,” Tony said. “But you remind me a lot of…” Myself, Tony almost said. “Someone I used to know.” He said instead. “So if you need someone to talk to, about Peter or not, I’m a call away. Pull your phone out.” Tony said as he parked in front of your apartment complex.
“You’re just…” You were speechless.
“Trying to give you my number, yeah. You can talk to me, or I can get someone unbiased to talk to you. Sam has a love-hate relationship with the kid, but he’s surprisingly really good at listening and giving advice. Not really surprising given his background, but.” Tony had a habit of rambling like Peter did, and the resemblance made your heart feel heavy. Tony gave you his number, and you exchanged goodbyes before you got out of his car and ran into your apartment.
When you entered your apartment, you were greeted by silence, which you were grateful for today. You walked into your room, plugged your phone into the charger and laid back in bed. Your eyes burned from the unshed tears you didn’t dare to spill. What right did you have to cry when you broke Peter's heart? Besides, if you started to cry now, you wouldn’t be able to stop, or you’d do something stupid. You’d answer the texts that Peter, MJ, and Ned left you. You’d listen to the voicemails from him and May, and it would worsen the pain you were in right now.
‘I’m sorry, Peter.’ You thought as you closed your eyes. ‘I truly am.’

The Runaway Distance Life Of A Little Stark Chapter 14: Here's to the good times
Pairing: Tony Stark & daughter!Reader, Nick Fury & reader, parker family & reader, Ben parker & reader Summary: Reader’s birthday warning: Panic attack, memories Co author with: callikc Tag:  @venomsvl  @geeksareunique Previous
Four months had passed.
It was May 30th now, a day you'd never really found much joy in. The day that you were born.
It just reminded you that you never got to meet your mother, that your birth was the reason she died. And you never really got a decent celebration. Sure, you had the money and the mansion to organize a party, but you never had the friends. And, of course, your dad was always too busy to be there.
Birthdays just weren't fun in the Stark household.
As you entered your lab, you let out a heavy sigh and put down an untouched cup of coffee, thinking about what you could possibly do to occupy yourself for the day. Most of your projects were complete and you didn't feel like starting from scratch just yet.
You did have a little side project that was almost finished. It was your own little experiment called Test Eco in which you made your own environment in a glass box from samples of earth's minerals. It needed a test or two so you grabbed one of the many notebooks littered around and approached the box.
"FRIDAY?" You called.
"Yes, miss?" The AI greeted.
"How are we doing on Test Eco?"
"My data suggests the potential for a copper deposit, dropping at fifteen. I also found coltan, cobalt, and silicon."
"Huh..." You peered at the box, impressed by what you could accomplish sometimes. "All of those can be used and processed?"
"In a virtual environment such as this, I'm afraid not. But if presented with real Earth conditions, possibly. However, the most important are the iron and bauxite deposits I detected."
"Construction materials?" You questioned, intrigued.
"Aluminum, and everything needed to repair existing equipment as it ages."
"And the soil?"
"Light on nitrates."
"Nothing I can't compensate for. What about the water sample?"
"There is some salinisation and minimal microbial concentrations."
"Easily eliminated with purification and filtration processes."
"Cleaner than here."
You nodded and smiled, noting down everything. "Thanks, FRIDAY."
"My pleasure, miss."
You once again praised yourself for creating something as amazing as that and were about to do some more tests when you heard a knock on the door of your lab. You turned and saw Fury.
"What did I do now?" You mumbled.
Putting on a smile, you set everything down and went over to let him in.
"Campbell." He greeted in the usual business-like tone.
You nodded once. "Hey, Director."
"You're in early."
"I got bored."
"Hmm."
You stood there, a little awkward. "So can I help with anything, or...?"
Fury entered the lab and closed the door so you'd have more privacy. He looked around, seemingly impressed by some of the things you had created, and then turned to you.
"It's your day off." He stated.
You raised a brow. "Since when do you complain about extra hours?"
"I don't. But today is a 'special occasion'."
"Is it?"
"Happy birthday."
You almost laughed at how strange it sounded coming from someone like him, especially since it seemed so painful for him to say the words, but you kept a neutral expression.
"Thanks, but I think I'll work it off." You said.
"Campbell, you've worked with more dedication and the assiduous nature of half my agents in the time you've been here. SHIELD won't collapse if you take a day off."
"Famous last words."
"Take it as an order."
You crossed your arms. "You're ordering me to take a day off and celebrate?"
He nodded. "Yes."
"I hate you."
"I'm sure you do."
Knowing you couldn't win, you rolled your eyes and shrugged. "Fine. I'll take a day."
"Good." He reached into his jacket and withdrew what looked like a card. "Go crazy."
You smirked, amused. "If this ain't favoritism I don't know what is. How much?"
"Limitless."
"Holy shit." With a grin, you accepted the gift. "You're a softie really, aren't you? Director Furry."
He did not look amused.
"Agent Hill has left you a car outside. It's all yours."
Actually feeling like today could be better than you anticipated, you smiled. "Tell her I said thanks. I'll be back in tomorrow."
He nodded once more. "As expected. Have fun, Campbell."
"Oh, I will."
With a smile and your new gift tucked away safely, the two of you parted ways and you checked everything in the lab before leaving yourself. A few agents and scientists you were friendly with said hi and you waved back.
The car outside was much more impressive than you anticipated. A 2006 Dodge Challenger. Agent Hill certainly knew your tastes.
There was another agent waiting with the keys and he tossed you them when you approached, not saying a word. Most agents didn't anyway, it was normal to be ignored. In fact, you were certain 'grumpy' and 'mute' were part of the pass criteria.
But, God, did that car feel fantastic as you drove.
The roar of the engine, the smooth touch of the wheel, and the leather seats... It was like heaven.
-
After celebrating your birthday with a not so cheap meal and a Starbucks, you decided it was time to head home.
It was only the afternoon and you didn't expect many people to be out on the streets. However, as you parked the new car beside the sidewalk, you noticed a commotion at the end of the road. You didn't bother driving over since there were too many people but you did walk to investigate.
The people were apparently shouting and cheering for something, huddled around two people you couldn't see from your current position.
But then the crowd parted slightly and you felt like your heart dropped in your chest.
It was your dad.
Clint Barton was there as well and the two seemed to be making fun of each other and being general idiots as the adoring public reached out with things to be signed. You could barely breathe.
It was your dad.
He was so close. After all this time...
When you saw him talking to people, you accidently called out. It didn't mean much since the overlapping voices drowned your own and no one noticed you.
You wanted nothing more than to reach out, to let him know you were okay and you were there, but you couldn't. You couldn't without bringing attention to yourself. The threat, now years old, still hung like a shadow and you forced yourself to walk away with tears in your eyes.
It felt like the ghost of Obadiah was strangling you.
Then you just ran.
You ran as far as you could, straight to your apartment. Once there, you slammed the bathroom door and simply broke down as everything overwhelmed you.
You wouldn't get to see him ever again.
Suddenly it didn't seem to matter if he ignored you or you were rude to him, you just wanted a dad again. With no mother or siblings, he was all you had. And you wouldn't ever get the chance to tell him you loved him despite all the estrangement between you.
You fell to the floor and pulled your knees close to your chest as you sobbed. Breathing felt like trying to swallow sandpaper and even if air did make it through it was foreign and unnatural, causing your breakdown to become more severe and messy.
"Ellen?" There was a knock at the door and you looked up, everything blurred and fuzzy.
You left the front door open in your rush but the voice was Ben's so you knew you were safe. You wanted to say something but nothing would leave your mouth. You only lost more air by trying to speak.
"(Y/n)?" He asked more quietly.
You had a hand over your chest as you panicked and fumbled for the bathroom door. There was a click as you unlocked it but then fell back again.
Ben was immediately at your side, his hands on your arms as you fought to breathe. "(Y/n)? Hey, you okay?"
Your body shook and you cried and cried. He didn't want to scare you further and carefully pulled you in for a hug, whispering words of assurance.
 Thanks to him your breathing started to get back to normal, your heart no longer as loud. You could finally catch air instead of nothingness. You curled up into the smallest ball you could muster and clutched Ben's arm as he held you, the tears still streaming down your face.
"You're okay, (Y/n)." He said, keeping you close and comforted.
"I nearly talked to him." You spoke up with a broken voice. "My dad."
"Tony?"
You nodded. "He was - He was right there. I-I couldn't - It was-"
"Hey, it's okay. You're okay."
You tried to focus and explain it all, and were thankful he just waited patiently for you to process. After you settled, you moved to your living room and sat down.
"I just can't believe he's really a superhero." You whispered.
"It's a big job." Ben agreed. "I saw him when those things invaded the city. He saved my guys and me. He's a good man."
"A lot of power." You sighed. "All those people he needs to help... With great power comes great responsibility."
Ben studied you carefully and by now he'd known you long enough to realize it wasn't just the superhero status and tough past that made you miss Tony. It was simply just a daughter missing her father.
"He hasn't forgotten, you know." He said.
You looked up, bottom lip still trembling from the earlier panic attack. "What?"
"Tony. He loves you."
"I don't... I don't know."
"(Y/n), he does. A parent never stops loving a child. I'll love Peter until the day I die and even beyond that. Your old man is the same."
You closed your eyes and shook your head. "It's been too long."
"Not for him. Trust me."
You wanted to argue, to insist he was wrong, but you just didn't have the energy. What started off as a decent birthday for once had quickly turned sour. You needed to sleep.
"I'm gonna take five." You decided.
Ben nodded. "Alright. I'm next door if you need me, kid."
"Thanks."
He smiled sadly and wrapped his arms around you one more time. You melted into the hug and took the moment to breathe, wishing you could stay like that forever.
"Happy birthday." He then said, placing a kiss on the top of your head.
-
You woke up about an hour later to a light weight on your middle. You weren't too sure on what it was until a little boy's giggle followed.
"Peter Benjamin Parker, what are you doing?" You grumbled, eyes still closed.
"Morning, Ellen." You heard his cheery tone greet back. "I want to show you something."
"Go away, I'm dead."
"No, you're just lazy."
"Peter!" A new voice scolded.
You opened your eyes at that, realizing two more people accompanied him. "May? Ben?"
You were surprised.
May held a birthday cake lit with candles, and Ben held a bag that looked filled to the brim with all kinds of snacks and candy. Peter was standing next to the bed with half of his body on top of yours and an adorable child-like grin on his face.
Tumblr media
"What's the occasion?" You joked.
Peter rolled his eyes and poked your cheek. "Don't play dumb. It's song time."
"No, thanks. I like my windows in one piece."
He stuck out his tongue. "Shut up and listen."
"Peter." May scolded again while Ben simply laughed.
"Sorry." He mumbled, standing straight.
Then, on the count of three, Ben initiated the singing.
"Happy birthday to you... Happy birthday to you... Happy birthday to Ellen... Happy birthday to you!" The three of them sang.
During the song, Peter sent a not-so-subtle wink when your alias was named which made you laugh.
"Thank you." You then said with a smile. "Really."
"Aren't you, like, ancient now?" Peter teased.
You playfully glared, then looked at his aunt and uncle. "Are you sure you two raised him?"
They laughed and May shrugged. "I think it's your influence, Ellen."
You faked a gasp. "I am insulted!"
"And I'm hungry." Peter complained, taking your hand and dragging you out of bed. "Come on!"
And for the rest of the afternoon the four of you had a mini party.
You had pizza and cake and watched some random TV in the background. The Parkers had even gotten you a gift. It was a homemade lava lamp in your favorite color. It was a simple gift, but it meant the world.
For the first time, your birthday was genuine fun. Save for the incident earlier on, you felt truly appreciated and loved. You couldn't help but remember celebrating all your other birthdays alone since you never got along with your dad.
Even after Parkers left - May for work and Peter to study - you had a smile on your face. However, thinking back on your life also made you also think forwards, and you realized there was something you needed to take care of.
The warehouse in Upstate.
You hadn't visited in a while since it was mostly just storage for you now. It was collecting a ton of dust but it still felt like home, bearing in mind it was for a few months when you were homeless.
The inside was tall and looming, shrouded in darkness. Even asking FRIDAY to illuminate the place didn't do much. Still, it wasn't too difficult to navigate.
"Hey, FRIDAY?" You called softly.
"Yes, miss?" She replied.
You looked at the clear space ahead of you and took a breath. "Show me Protocol Waterlight."
"Are you sure, miss?"
"Nope, but go ahead."
Even FRIDAY hesitated, but finally did bring up the image.
It seemed so innocent at first, just a calming lake with a distant sunset. It was in the form of a hologram, meaning the water rippled and glistened in the dusk light. However, that sunset was simply the promise of a future sunrise, a light to eventually emerge from the coming darkness.
Time went on, and little waterlights began to appear, floating on the surface of the lake. Their candles made the water appear like a night sky filtered with stars, beacons so far away and yet seemingly so close. It resembled a tribute almost.
As you watched, the orange glare reflected in your eyes, you focused on each individual lantern, remembering little bits of your past and the stories you created as you grew up.
Tumblr media
One of your very first memories was sneaking into your dad's workshop and watching him take apart one of his cars. You took mental notes and tried to do the same with another car the next week but he had only gotten annoyed.
You remembered one of your birthdays in which Pepper, Happy, and Rhodey tried to celebrate with you. They had made you a beautiful cake and bought you so many amazing presents but the first thing you asked was where your dad was. You could see the looks of uncertainty on their faces even now.
You remembered high school, with so many people wanting to be your friend solely because of your last name. They would ask what it was like to be rich and live in a mansion with such a famous father but when you had no amazing stories to tell they simply started to act as if you didn't exist anymore.
You remembered running away. That fear and coldness, the thought of leaving everything behind, it haunted you even now. That shadow might never lift, and you didn't know how much longer you could live with it.
You remembered everything as you watched the waterlights. From childhood to the present, things were as clear as day.
And when you thought of your dad...
Instead of feeling rage and hate and malice, you smiled tearfully. Thinking of him was the easy part, you did it every day. But missing him? That hurt like hell. Even in the darkest days, when you felt inadequate and unworthy, you found yourself remembering who you were. You remembered whose daughter you were.
You were (Y/n) Stark, and it was about time you came to terms with that.

I Lost My Phone! (Avengers x Reader)
So due to all of the birthday posts celebrating Steve, I realized that on my school-induced Tumblr hiatus, I missed a shit-ton of birthdays between Bucky’s and Steve’s. So there’s gonna be a ton of birthday posts coming for the MCU characters that I can find birthdays for. In the meantime, enjoy this fic that’s taken me months to write and find inspiration for.
Warnings: slight Sam x Reader, my taste in music (that deserves its own warning any day), reader being called just about every nickname I could think of, swearing.
Word Count: 3950
Summary: Reader’s ADHD causes her to lose her phone a lot, when the Avengers find out she has specialized ringtones for all of them, they’re obsessed with finding out what they all are.
For an Avenger, you were actually pretty young. You were older than Peter, but still younger than Wanda and Pietro. You were close with all three of them, and you all loved to make references that confused the fuck out of everyone else. You also had ADHD, which meant lots of things. For you, it meant that something specific, like a bobby pin from 3 years ago, was fresh in your mind. Your top left desk drawer, underneath the colouring books, to be exact. But, you were always fidgeting with something; your ring, a pen, tapping your fingers, and literally anything you could get your hands on. You spaced out a lot, so you would fidget with a pen during meetings so you could actually pay attention. Also, you had this terrible habit of losing everything that wasn’t specific; your phone, wallet, keys were left everywhere around the compound.
You were sitting in the lab one day, fidgeting with a brain puzzle Tony had left on his lab bench while he was upgrading something into your suit. “Kiddo?” He asked, “Peter just texted me that he texted you hours ago and you still haven’t responded. He wants to know if you’re mad at him, and if you’re still on for that late lunch picnic.”
“Oh, would you let him know that I’m not mad at him and that I’ll get all the stuff for the picnic if he’s willing to swing us to where we’re going?” You responded.
“Sure, I can do that,” Tony replied, drafting his response to Peter. “Why haven’t you responded to him?”
You laughed. “I have no idea where my phone is, Mr. Stark. I haven’t seen it in hours, and I have no clue where I left it.”
Tony laughed too, having done the same thing many times over the years, though you did it far more often than he ever did. “I’ll just call you then, it’ll help. Unless your phone’s on vibrate?”
“No, it’s not on vibr- wait, don’t call me!” You exclaimed, but it was too late. Who’s Your Daddy by Toby Keith started playing from upstairs, and you ran up to the kitchen where you found your phone ringing on the counter.
Clint and Natasha were sitting at the counter, drinking yet another coffee. “Why is that your ringtone for Tony?” She asked.
“I, uh- it’s- I-” You stumbled over your words, turning your phone off, blushing as Tony came up the stairs behind you.
“Why is that your ringtone for me, kiddo?” He asked, wrapping an arm around your shoulders. You could easily escape if you wanted to, but it was his way of letting you know that he actually wanted an answer.
“My dad was shitty, my parents sold me into HYDRA as soon as my powers manifested, and when you guys got me out.. I just kinda.. y’know.” You said, hiding your head in your hands.
Clint rubbed your arm softly, “Hey, don’t forget about that picnic with Peter.”
“Oh, shit! He’ll be here any minute! I have to pack the food!” You scrambled around the kitchen, your gravitational powers making everything around you float as you did, and you didn’t even notice Tony slip your phone into your back pocket, just so you wouldn’t forget it again.
There was a knock in the kitchen doorway, and you turned to see Peter. “Y/N/N!”
“Peter!” You ran over to wrap him in a hug.
“You didn’t have your phone, did you?”
“Had no idea where it was. Mr. Stark had to call me.” You said, nuzzling into his chest.
Peter chuckled, “So I guess they know what your ringtone is now?” You blushed and pressed yourself further into his chest, wanting to disappear. “Do they know what it is for me?” He asked. You shook your head and tried to stop him from pulling his phone out, but he called you anyways.
You grabbed his hand and started leaving with the food as the Spiderman theme song started playing in your pocket. You turned it off and called behind you. “Goodbye Mr. Barton, Ms. Romanoff, Mr. Dad!”
“What did she just say?” You heard Tony ask as the doors shut behind the both of you.
“What did I do?” You asked while Peter was swinging you to a spot you had deemed as the ‘Kids Room’. Only Peter, Wanda, Pietro, and you were allowed in, and it was just a treehouse that Tony had built in the woods that surrounded the Compound. But it was fun not letting any of the other Avengers in.
“You called Mr. Stark something you probably didn’t mean to.”
“Peter, what did I say?”
“You called him ‘Mr. Dad.’” Peter explained, you groaned, hiding your face in his neck.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The next time you couldn’t find your phone was actually the next day in the gym. Tony had designed you special wireless headphones that would work up to a mile away from your actual phone. Meaning that your phone could be anywhere in the Compound, and while listening to your music, you would have no idea. You had come back last night from your outing with Peter, and got him to swing you directly up to your bedroom so you didn’t have to run into anyone else, before kissing his cheek and telling him good night. You didn’t have feelings for him, it was just something you two always did.
“Captain Rogers!” You called from your place on top of the gymnastics bars, “Have you seen my phone anywhere? I can’t remember where I left it.”
Steve shook his head in response, “I’m sorry, kiddo, I haven’t. Do you want me to call it for you?” He asked, pulling his phone out already.
“Yeah, that might be a good idea- wait.” You dropped off the bars as soon as you heard the first bar of Ice Ice Baby. “Shit!” You exclaimed, running towards the noise.
“Language!” Steve called, following you. His super-soldier hearing was sure to hear what his ringtone was.
You pulled open the cabinet with the mugs, where you had left your phone this morning after pouring your coffee, and declined the call. “Thanks, Captain.” You muttered, walking off to take your post-training shower.
“I’m starting to think she does this on purpose,” Clint said, poking his head out of the vents.
“What do you mean?” Steve asked in response.
“Just yesterday Y/N forgot where her phone was while Peter was trying to get a hold of her, and Tony had to call her phone. It was sitting on the counter. At least she has a good sense of humour. I wonder what her ringtone is for me..” He wondered thoughtfully.
“What was her ringtone for Tony?” Steve always had more questions.
“Some country song called Who’s Your Daddy. Y/N evidently sees Stark as a father figure, she even called him Mr. Dad by accident yesterday as she was leaving for her picnic with Peter.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It was only a few hours later when you couldn’t find your phone yet again. “I’m starting to wonder if someone’s just moving it when I’m not paying attention.” You said, patting your pockets as you walked into the kitchen where Clint was pouring yet another cup of coffee.
“What’s wrong, kiddo?” He asked.
“I can’t find my phone, again!” You exclaimed. “It’s the second time today that it hasn’t been exactly where I thought it was!”
Clint chuckled, “Where did you think you left it this time?”
“My pocket.” You deadpanned, subtly looking behind him to see if he had hidden it from you so he could find out what his ringtone was.
“Should I call you?”
“I wouldn’t. I’ll find it in a few minutes, don’t worry about it.” It was at that moment that you heard Men in Tights from Robin Hood coming from in between the couch cushions.
You dove towards the couch, but Clint, being taller and stronger, beat you there. “Really? This is my ringtone?”
“Robin Hood’s an archer!” You defended yourself, reaching across him for your phone to turn it off.
Nat walked in at that moment, and started chuckling at the position the two of you were in. “So, sexual tension with people other than your wife, Barton?”
“Nat, he took my phone.” You whined, unable to reach it without physically climbing him.
“Clint, give Y/N her phone back. Y/N, stop getting mad that people are finding out what your ringtones for them are. You have an excellent sense of humor, and nobody has been mad about their ringtone yet.”
“You guys are keeping a list, aren’t you?” You grimaced.
Clint and Natasha both laughed, “And keeping track of who laughs at which one.” He added.
“Ouch.” You said softly, putting your phone back in your pocket and heading back into the kitchen. “What’s for dinner?”
“Nobody’s really sure yet. What do you want?” Nat replied.
“If there’s one thing I learned from my missions with HYDRA, it was how to make a mean mac n’ cheese.” You said, pulling the ingredients out of the cupboards.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
When you woke up the next morning, it was to someone banging on your door. “Y/N! Training! You’re late!”
You groaned, rolling towards the noise and off the edge of your bed. “Fuck!” You exclaimed, having hit your head on the nightstand.
Bucky rushed in, “Y/N, are you alright, doll?” He helped you sit up while you were holding the back of your head.
“I-” You hissed softly, “hit my head. It hurts, Sarge.”
“Yeah, you’ve got a pretty good gash there, kid. Why weren’t you already up?”
“I don’t know where my phone is, it never went off with my alarm. I always leave it plugged in right there.” You explained, pointing to your laptop, which was currently plugged in. “Huh, charged the laptop last night instead?”
“Let me call you, doll. And then we’ll get you down to Helen in the medbay to get you all fixed up, you’re bleeding.”
“Okay, that’s a good plan.” You started to say, “Wait, my ringt-” But it was too late, Rasputin was playing from somewhere under your bed.
Bucky laid down on his stomach to get it for you. “Nice choice, kid.” He said, passing your phone back to you before he picked you up bridal style. “Let’s get you to Helen.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You were able to keep track of your phone for the next three days, but while reading on the couch you realized it had been hours since you had last seen it. “Ms. Romanoff?” You called, knowing she was sitting in the kitchen. “I haven’t seen my phone in hours, have you seen it anywhere?”
“Sorry, sweetie, I haven’t. I can call you?” She pulled her phone out, and as she did you remembered what your ringtone is for her.
“I wouldn’t do-” You started to say until you heard Black Widow by Iggy Azalea playing from the fridge. You stood up and walked over to it, opening the door. “What the fuck is my phone doing in there?”
“You must’ve traded your phone for a YOP drink.” Natasha said, ending the call from her end of the phone. “Hm, Barnes was right, you do have good taste in music.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
With Bruce you were always pretty good at keeping your phone handy, which was good, because you didn’t actually have a special ringtone for him, which you guessed made him special in his own right. You just could never think of a song that fit him well enough to be special enough for his ringtone. You spent a little extra time with Bruce to make up for it, plus you figured that whenever you moved your phone, he would make sure that he knew where it was so you wouldn’t lose it. You had a sneaking suspicion that Hulk liked you too, if the way you were able to calm him down was any indication.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It was about a week after Natasha had helped you find your phone that you had lost it again. Thor and Loki were back, and while Loki often stayed on Asgard, since Thor insisted he was actually the better king, you enjoyed getting to spend time with both of them. They did both have phones now, since Tony had forced it upon them both last time they were on Earth, so you all would have a means of getting a hold of them, other than praying Heimdall would hear you. They both immediately came to you for help on understanding the Midgardian device. Similar to what Steve and Bucky did with their first phones too, actually.
You had been searching for the last 20 minutes, all over the Compound, and you couldn’t find your phone anywhere. It wasn’t anywhere in your room, your bathroom, you checked all the kitchen cupboards and the fridge, twice; and you had even checked all the furniture in the main living room where you and Loki had been quietly reading that morning after training. Nothing. Your phone was nowhere to be found. You had even poked your head into the lab while Tony and Bruce were gone to see if Peter had seen it. Still no. Your phone was gone. You were just going to have to get a new one and transfer over all of the data. You groaned, flopping down on the couch, data transfers take for-fucking-ever.
“Little angel?” Loki asked. “Is something wrong?”
“I can’t find my phone, as per usual. I’m just gonna go get a new one and do a data transfer, which takes for-fucking-ever to load and it’s annoying as shit.” You flopped your head to look over at him on the other couch, pouting.
“Why don’t you just get someone to call your phone?” He asked. “I can do it if you’d like.”
You sighed, resigned to have left it somewhere stupid yet again. “I guess you’re my last option, Mischief.” Loki pulled his phone out of his pocket and tapped on your contact, calling you. bad guy by Billie Eilish started playing from down the hall, in the training room. You ran towards the noise, picking your phone up once you got there. “Now I remember! I didn’t have pockets in my workout clothes this morning, so I left my phone on the bench. I haven’t needed it, so I didn’t think twice about not having it.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You also didn’t have a ringtone for Rhodey, but he was almost never around, and he never called you anyways. You only had his number in case of emergency, mostly for when Tony was stupidly drunk or if he was fighting with Steve and nobody could get them off of each other.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The morning after Loki had helped you find your phone, you couldn’t find it again. “Nope, I’m not gonna bother, it’ll show up in a few minutes.. or hours..” You mumbled, curling up on the couch with your book.
Three hours later, after finishing your book, going to training, taking a shower, making everyone lunch, and running some errands, you still hadn’t seen your phone anywhere. You retraced your steps throughout the day, pausing momentarily to ask Bruce if you had had it when you stopped in the lab this morning to ask Tony about an upgrade to your suit. Apparently not.
“Lady Y/N?” Thor asked, coming up behind you. “Are you feeling alright? You’ve been running back and forth across the compound looking like a- what’s the saying?”
“A chicken with my head cut off?” You asked, sighing.
“Yes, that’s it!” Thor exclaimed. “Is something wrong?”
“I can’t find my phone, Thor. That’s all. I’m sure it’ll turn up somewhere.”
Thor picked you up and put you on his shoulders. “If I called you, milady, would it help?”
“I suppose..” You told him, using your gravitational powers to float safely back to the ground. Thor pulled his phone out and you heard Thunder by Imagine Dragons playing from the lab downstairs. “But.. I didn’t have it when I was down here this morning? I guess I could’ve left it down here last night and since it’s the weekend none of my alarms would’ve gone off.”
“Oh, crap, Y/N, I am so sorry.” Bruce said, looking up from his computer. “I was cleaning up the lab this morning and I must’ve put some things on top of your phone and then Tony moved them, and-”
“Bruce, if I had really needed it, I would’ve gotten someone to call it for me sooner. My only missed call is from Thor. Trust me, it’s alright.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
When you couldn’t find your phone again right after dinner, you were starting to worry about yourself. I can’t possibly misplace it this often, you thought to yourself. Somebody has to be moving it when I’m not paying attention so they can find out all my ringtones. Or maybe I really am this forgetful. Should I ask Dr. Cho about upping my meds? Should I go off my meds and see what happens? Should I-
“Y/N/N? You alright, sweetie?” Sam asked, interrupting your train of thought.
You jumped, not having heard his knock on your door. “Oh, Sammy! You scared me! I didn’t hear you come in.”
“It’s alright. You were really lost in thought, huh?”
“Yeah, I was.” You ducked your head, blushing. “Did you need something?”
“I was just coming to check on you. FRIDAY said you were in here pacing.”
“Oh, yeah, I do that when I’m stressed. Sorry.”
“It doesn’t bother me, honey. Why are you stressed?” He asked, sitting on your bed and patting the spot next to him.
“I just feel like somebody has to be taking my phone and hiding it. I can’t possibly misplace it this often, right? I was thinking that I should talk to Dr. Cho about my med dosage since I feel like I’m more disorganized on them than I am off. It’s not even just my phone, other than the bobby pin under the colouring books in my top left desk drawer, I never know where anything is anymore.”
“Okay, so we’ll find your phone and go talk to Helen about your meds. Problem solved.” Sam wrapped an arm around you and pulled out his phone to call you.
You nuzzled into his side and mumbled, “What if I don’t want you to find out what my ringtone for you is?”
He kissed the top of your head. “We’ve all loved your ringtones for us, honey. Do you trust me?”
“Of course I do.” As you said this, Sam clicked the ‘call’ button on your contact and Fly Like A Bird by Nelly Furtado started playing from the hallway. You opened the door and found your phone on the little table next to your door. “Fuck.” You said under your breath.
“Hey,” Sam said, wrapping you in a hug and resting his chin on your head. “That’s hilarious, sweetie. I love it.”
You turned around in his arms and wrapped your own around him, “You’re not mad?”
“Of course not. Now what’s this I hear about Barnes having his hands on my girl last week while I was on a mission?”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
After fixing your meds up with Sam and Dr. Cho, you were able to keep track of your phone for about 5 days. Sam helped. But, now, you had just finished training with Wanda and Pietro and you had no idea where your phone was. This was especially making you think you were crazy since these workout clothes have pockets. Both front and back. “Sammy! Have you seen my phone?” You asked, poking your head into his apartment.
“Sorry, sweetheart.” He called from under the bathroom sink. “Have you asked Wanda and Pietro? I know you were just training with them.”
“Nope, I came here on my way to them. I’ll see you tonight?”
“Of course you will, it’s movie night.”
“Right, yeah. I forgot. Okay, I’m gonna go find Wanda and Piet, but I’ll see you later.” You said, kissing his forehead and shutting the door behind you. The next thing you knew, you heard Red by Taylor Swift playing from somewhere above you. That was your ringtone for Wanda, she was calling you?
“Up here, sora!” You heard Wanda call from the balcony. Looking up, you saw her waving your phone and you quickly used your gravity powers to float it down to you. “Oh, Y/N/N, you did such a great job controlling your powers!” Wanda shouted, running down the stairs to wrap you in a hug.
Pietro was right behind her, and all of a sudden you were in the middle of a group hug with the twins. “Well, princessa, now that we know what your ringtone for Wanda is, we have to find out what it is for me.”
“Speed, I am speed.” came blaring through your phone speakers in the voice of Owen Wilson, who played Lightning McQueen in the movie Cars. You sighed, dropping your head onto Wanda’s shoulder as you declined Pietro’s call.
“That is the best thing in the world, princessa.” Pietro said, speeding you back to your apartment. “We’ll see you at movie night tonight?”
You nodded, leaning in the doorway. “Of course you will, Speedy. I wouldn’t miss it for the world.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The next morning, just when you thought you were done with everybody calling you to find out their ringtone, King T’Challa and Princess Shuri showed up.
“Y/N?” Shuri asked, knocking on your door, “Are you awake yet, love?”
You flung your door open, “Yes, I am, but I was looking for my phone before I came out for breakfast.”
“Oh, let me just call you.” Shuri pulled out her phone and called you, and Get Lucky by Daft Punk and Pharrell Williams started playing from down the hallway, in the kitchen.
You walked down the hall, into the kitchen, where everybody was eating breakfast, blushing. “Couldn’t find your phone again, honey?” Sam asked. You nodded, grabbing it out from under your favourite mug.
“How did it even get out here? I had it last night in bed.”
“No you didn’t, you were in here making popcorn and brought your phone with you. You never brought it back, so I just assumed you grabbed it on our way to bed last night.”
“I must not have.” You said, finally remembering to hang up the call to make the song stop.
Natasha wrote something down on her phone, you assumed she was continuing to add to the list of ringtones she was keeping. “Hey, T’Challa, you’re the only one that we don’t know Y/N’s ringtone for, would you mind calling her for us?” Tony asked.
“Of course I can,” T’Challa said, pulling his phone out.
You quickly tapped on your phone, changing T’Challa’s ringtone while you still had a chance. Unfortunately, you weren’t fast enough because The Pink Panther started playing as your phone lit up with a call from the Wakandan King. “Crap.” You mumbled, declining the call.
“Oh, honey.” Sam said, walking over to you and wrapping you in a hug. “Your sense of humour is absolutely the light of our lives. Has anybody disliked what Y/N/N’s ringtone for them was?” Everybody shook their heads.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
All in all, losing your phone so often because of your ADHD didn’t end up being so bad. But Clint got his ass kicked when Peter found your phone left in the vents one day. Turns out, when Clint isn’t hiding your phone, you actually don’t lose it all that often.
I hope you enjoyed! Once again, I have no idea how to end fics, so you get that piece of shit as a last paragraph.

Title: Cherry Red Rating: Explicit Pairing: Peter Parker/Tony Stark Tags/Warnings: Daddy Kink, Blow Jobs, Popsicles Summary: Peter teases his Daddy with a popsicle. Notes: for @ageplay-may and the Spice prompt for day 4: “food play” AO3 Link
Peter sucked the cherry flavored popsicle into his mouth, fitting almost the whole thing, before he made sure his lips were tight around the cold treat, and then slowly pulled it back out of his mouth. He maintained eye contact with Tony the whole time. When he got to the end, Peter made an obnoxious slurping noise while sucking up the juice and then grinned over at Tony.
“Oh my god, you two, we can literally see everything you’re doing.” Rhodey scolded. “Get a room, you freaks.”
Peter giggled as Tony glared, before hurrying to stand and grabbing Peter’s arm as he passed. Waving bye to the others who had been sitting around the bonfire in one of the courtyards of the Compound. Peter yelped, almost dropping what was left of his popsicle in surprise, when he was yanked harder than he thought he would be.
In a blink, Tony had Peter shoved into their bedroom, already undoing the zipper of his jeans. “On your knees.” Tony growled, pulling his cock out.
Peter was quick to obey, his knees hitting the carpeted floor hard. He didn’t even wince, just kept staring up at Tony with wide eyes.
“Such a good boy for Daddy, aren’t you?” Tony stepped forward and brought his hand out to caress Peter’s cheek, thumb dipping down to rub over Peter’s red stained bottom lip.
“Yes, Daddy.” His mouth dropped open obediently.
Tony hummed. “Suck on that popsicle some more, get your mouth nice and cold, baby.”
Peter had forgotten that the popsicle was even still in his hand, but he was quick to do what Daddy asked. He didn’t deep throat the thing again, teasing wasn’t the goal this time, but Peter made sure to leave the cherry flavored ice on his tongue for a moment, really getting it cold. This was one of Tony’s favorite things, something they had only discovered together after the first time Peter had teased his Daddy with a popsicle. Tony loved the contrast of the cold and the hot heat of Peter’s mouth on his cock.
“Alright, baby, c’mon,” Tony coaxed.
Peter pulled the dwindling popsicle from his mouth and opened wide to let Daddy feed him his cock. Above him, Daddy moaned as the sensations washed over him, gently thrusting his in and out of Peter’s stretched mouth. He stared up at Daddy, through his lashes, as his eyes started to water as Tony’s thrusts picked up speed. It was still only half of Tony’s cock, Peter hated that he couldn’t actually deep throat his Daddy, but Tony never seemed to mind that he couldn’t go that deep. He always kept his thrusts shallow, he was considerate while still Domming the hell out of Peter. Peter internally preened.
“So good for me, baby,” Tony ran his fingers through Peter’s hair and then curled his fingers into a semi-tight hold, using the grip to move Peter’s head as he wanted.
Despite not thrusting very deep or fast, it felt like Daddy was abusing his mouth and throat; Peter moaned and blinked as the tears finally spilled over his bottom lashes. He could feel the spit leaking from the sides of his mouth, dripping out around Daddy’s cock, and he squirmed, his own cock hard in his jeans.
Daddy pulled his cock out completely and grinned down at Peter, his eyes dark. “Suck on your popsicle some more, baby.”
Peter glanced around the best he could with Daddy’s hand still in his hair, and noticed that the popsicle had melted onto the carpet, the wooden stick still clutched in his hand was stained red and had a few drops still on it. “Oh, oops.”
“So messy, baby,” Tony chuckled. “That’s okay, c’mere.”
He trust back into Peter’s mouth and set a steady, almost punishing, rhythm with his hips, chasing his release. Daddy groaned and the grip in Peter’s hair tightened. Daddy slipped, his cock hitting the back of Peter’s throat, making him gag and make an awful noise around Daddy’s cock.
“Shh, baby, I’m sorry,” Daddy cooed. “You’re okay.” He pulled out to let Peter cough and then fed his cock back into that warm, wet delicious mouth.
Peter got lost in it, had it been a few minutes, half an hour? An hour? He didn’t know, but sudden;y Daddy was groaning and filling Peter’s mouth with his spend. He was a good boy and swallowed it all down as Daddy emptied into his mouth.
“Let me see.” Daddy demanded, pulling his softening cock from Peter’s mouth, and pulling his head back by his hair.
Peter opened his mouth, sticking his still-stained red tongue, to show that he had swallowed it all down.
“Good boy.”

Stuck With Me: Book 1
🕷️(Cute Peter Parker slow burn, less spiderman action more just good ol awkward Parker.)
🕷️Peter has been in a bad mood all month, but with soon to be divorced parents, trying to figure out what's wrong with him is the last thing Lani needs. Thankfully summer break is here. Lani, Ned, Peter, and MJ set off on the summer vacation road trip to California. Drama ensues
Next part
CHAPTER 1: paint job
Lania's POV
Today is just one of those weeks, well months. It feels like each day drags on, but then all of the sudden it's Monday again. You just wonder "what have I been doing, why are all the days mushing together?" I guess it could be the rain, it's been raining almost every day this week. Rain always gets Peter moody. I guess because it's annoying getting rained on while you're just trying to do your job, swinging through the city. Ned just hates rain, and I have a dog who loves the mud but hates baths. I'm pretty sure Michelle is the only one who likes it.
"It's great antisocial weather." She always says.
Another contributing factor to the days running together is the feeling that they are all the same. Wake up, hear screaming from parents downstairs, get ready for school, hear dad slam the door to go to work, eat with crying mom downstairs, go to school, hang out with Ned, Peter, and Michelle, come home, do homework, and go to bed.
Considering I'm with my friends most of the day it's not too bad. But I'm just tired of it all.
I have no idea what I'll do when I'm finished painting my van. "My life will be a whole new level of boring " I sigh, once again dipping my brush into the paint can. The satisfying strokes of the rust-colored car turning the to the calming sage green, help me relax me. I skip a depressing song on my playlist and go for a Canned Heat song instead. That and the heavy rain is enough that no noise in the house can be heard in the garage. Silence at the Kahale house was hard to come by so I welcomed it with open arms, as the paint fumes danced in my nostrils.
That's when the daydreaming started, it had almost become routine. Something to look forward to while I painted and did other maintenance on Caroline. It was pretty much the same scenario every time. Kind of pathetic honestly. Some variation of the the same outcome at least.
Todays day dream starts off with Peter coming over in the night, having something to tell me. He climbs through the window in his spider-man suit. He wears it so he can be at my apartment even faster. I go to the window, confused why he's here. only for him to rush in take off his mask and tell me he is in love with me. And then of course we makeout.
Ok, I know it's weird and not realistic. First off, I am so hard in the friend zone. Second, no one just does that-but hey a girl can dream. But really she can't because her cush is way out of her league. I mean come on he's Spiderman!
I was the second to find out, Ned being the first. Though, I'm pretty sure me and Michelle knew around the same time. He came home one day after "the Stark internship" with the biggest black eye I had ever seen.
I was talking with Aunt May when he came home. He did a double glance at me and then darted for the bathroom.
"Peter?" Aunt May said, just as confused as I was.
"I just have to go to the bathroom!" He called out.
But he didn't know that I got a quick look of his eye before he bolted. That, and like a year ago all of the sudden he went from cute Lil' Peter to-shredded, chiseled, and taller Peter. A couple of other things had happened and it made us all suspicious. So, as soon as he ran off to his room, I got up and followed him. It took me about 60 seconds to find his suit.
The sudden pause in my music took me back into reality.
It was a text from Michelle in the group chat.
michael jackson: Hey nerds, how does Good Eats sound to you guys?
I was the first to respond
Lani: sounds amazing, I'm starving :))))
Bubby🖕🏻💗: sure but I've got no cash 😒
I roll my eyes. Ned has been putting off getting a job for months.
Lani: I'm freaking loaded so I can pay for you 😘😘
Bubby🖕🏻💗: thanks a love
Lani: I got u bb 🤠
michael jackson: get a room
itsy bitsy ❤️💙: Or just stop.
Bubby🖕🏻💗: ayy Peter you coming?
itsy bitsy❤️💙: I guess.
Lani: want me to pick you guys up?
michael jackson : Nah I don't trust your driving after the whole incident
Lani: ???
Bubby🖕🏻💗: Yess plss
itsy bitsy ❤️💙: No.
My mood sinks, if that makes sense. Seems like Peter is annoyed with me, and I don't know why. I shake my head. Texts always sound passive aggressive. But something about periods and short, serious answers make me question if it was just that. What if he was actually being passive-aggressive?
Guess I'll find out tonight.
michael jackson : What time is good for you guys? I was thinking 6.
Lani: sounds great to me! What time to you want to be picked up bubby?
Bubby is what I can Ned, he is pretty much my twin brother. Our humor is very similar so we can just make stupid jokes to each other all the time.
Bubby🖕🏻💗: 5:30 works great for me. Thanks ❤️!
Lani: don't mention it 💛!
Peter still hasn't replied. Maybe there is something wrong. I bite my lip and decide to text him away from the group chat.
Lani: hey Peter, you ok? :)
itsy bitsy : 💬
The bubble goes up and down as he is typing before it disappears from my screen. I wait for it to return, but it doesn't. I decide to text Michelle and Ned, but Michelle beats me to it.
michael jackson : is it just me or is bug boy off?
Lani: was just about to say the same thing. I tried asking but he just left me on read.
michael jackson: I'll talk to him.
Lani: :( ok tell him we love him if he replies to you. I'm kind of worried about him.
michael jackson : will do.
I notice a lack of Ned in this discussion, but before I can think of it any more I see my clock says 4:49. I close the paint can and head inside.
That's when I get hit in the head with a plastic cup.
"Ow what the frick!" I exclaimed.
My mom comes rushing over to me. "Oh Lani, I didn't see you!" She glares up at my dad who is on the other side if the room. He looks very mad. "It was meant for your father."
I don't know what I'm supposed to say to this. I decide a not addressing it. They seems to be in a bad mood already. "It's fine whatever." will do. The little voice in my head faintly whispers but it's not fine. I push it down. "Mom's going through a lot right now, she doesn't have to think of me" overpowers the whisper as I leave the room. My mind is blank except for the thought of the minor, but definitely there, pain on the side of my face.
Usually—or I guess from what I've heard from some kids at school who also have divorced parents, only one of them is crazy, or unfaithful, etc... what luck that I got two crazy parents. They were fine on their own, normal chill mom and normal chill dad even before the fighting started. But something about them together made for a toxic explosion, they were not themselves anymore. Both equally to blame for the downfall of their marriage, which disintegrated only a year after it started. Right when I was born.
They have never said this out loud but, I know they blame me.
Instead of dwelling on that plastic cup, I make myself busy getting ready for tonight. That's the fun thing about liking someone, having a crush, you can get all done up.
I already have this up on wattpad, but if you hate that format I’ve got it here for you now. Tell me what you think!!

✨ Masterlist ✨
Part One
Tumblr media
Monday. Your first day back at school since you broke up with Peter- your first time seeing him since you broke his heart. You had turned your phone off Friday morning; you skipped school Friday and between MJ, Ned, and Peter, your phone had continuously gone off for several minutes.
You were greeted by twenty missed calls and seventy-five texts when your phone powered to life. Ten calls from Peter, five calls from May, three from MJ and two from Ned. Several texts from Peter and your friends, a handful from May, and even one from Tony Stark. The last text you had gotten from Peter had been Saturday night, the most recent ones from MJ, and you quickly scrolled through her texts as you walked out of your apartment. Once you made it outside, you were surprised to see MJ standing on the sidewalk.
“MJ? What are you doing here?”
“What am I- what am I doing here? You don’t answer any of my calls or texts for four days and you wonder what I’m doing? What the hell happened, Y/N?” MJ asked and you ducked your head as you noticed the attention you two were getting.
“I’m sorry,” you said after a moment. “Let’s.. Let’s walk and I’ll explain.” As the two of you began the walk to school, you started to recount everything that had happened. You told her about the dinner with Peter, from Tony Stark picking you up until you got home that night. Your eyes stung with unshed tears when you told MJ about Peter’s love confession, and MJ draped an arm over your shoulder.
“So that’s why you’ve been ignoring all of us. Shit, can’t say I blame you. What are you gonna do? When you see Peter today?” MJ asked.
“Hide. And cry. A lot of hiding and crying is on the agenda for today.” You sighed. “I know I should talk to him. I want to. But I don’t deserve the chance to talk to him again.” You flinched as MJ flicked your forehead and you brought your hand to your head. “Ow!”
“Don’t be an idiot. You should talk to him. Not for yourself, but he deserves closure.” MJ knew enough about your family to understand why you had reacted the way you did, but she also cared about you and Peter both, and she was unafraid to call you out. You knew Peter deserved the closure, you knew it. But actually facing him? Easier said than done.
“I will, I will. If he even lets me talk to him. You didn’t see him, MJ. Every time I close my eyes, I keep seeing his face after I ended things. After I told him I didn’t love him when there’s no one in the world I’ve ever loved more.”
“Sappy.” MJ teased and you scoffed. “Maybe try not hiding when you see him and tell him that. He wants to talk to you, you and I both know he does. You may have to talk to him first, but.”
“I owe him that much,” you said.
“You do,” MJ agreed. “Or I’ll lock you both in a room until you talk to each other.” MJ’s threat was not one you wanted to test her on, because you knew she’d do it. You and MJ continued to talk as you walked to school and you slowed to a stop when you saw Peter and Ned a few feet away. MJ called your name then followed your gaze, and she frowned when she saw the two boys. “C’mon. Let’s go inside.” You nodded and dropped your gaze to the ground as you followed MJ inside, and you did your best to ignore the burning feeling of Peter’s gaze on you.
-
“Are you gonna talk to them?” Ned asked and Peter kept his gaze ahead until you were no longer in sight. “Peter.”
“Hmm?” Peter looked over at Ned who frowned. “Sorry. I don’t know.” Peter sighed. “I don’t know if I can handle them running away from me again.” The sting of rejection still felt fresh, the weight heavy in Peter’s chest. “If they come up to me… I don’t know. Maybe. You didn’t see them, Ned. It’s like I was looking at a stranger instead of the person I had been dating, the person I was in love with.” The person I am in love with. “Come on, we’re going to be late to class.” At least I have until third period before I have to see Y/N.
Third period came by too quickly for Peter’s liking. Peter busied himself with flipping through his physics textbook as you took a seat beside him. Assigned seating, gotta love it. Peter felt your gaze on him and it took all of his self control to keep his eyes ahead of him. Luckily, class started shortly and Peter heard you sigh before your gaze shifted off him as you started to take notes.
Halfway through class, a folded piece of scrap paper ended up on Peter’s notebook. Peter quickly glanced over at you and he noticed a torn corner on the page you were writing on. Peter quietly unfolded the paper and read the words written on it.
Our spot during gym?
Peter glanced over at you again, this time meeting your gaze. He nodded once before he looked back at his notes, and he felt… anxious. Hopeful. Terrified? All of the above. Peter looked up at the clock. Just a few hours until he talked to you again. God, was he ready to face you again?
-
Spider-Son: I’m so nervous, I could throw up
Spider-Son: You should come check me out, Mr. Stark
Why am I checking you out?
Spider-Son: Y/N
Spider-Son: They want to talk to me during gym
Shit.
You don’t want to talk to them?
Spider-Son: I do. But I’m also scared to. I’m scared to hear what they have to say. What if they want to apologize?
Would you?
If you need me to, I can get you. I have some time before my next meeting
Spider-Son: I don’t know what I will do
Spider-Son: I want to leave.
Spider-Son: But
Spider-Son: But I need to hear them out
Okay, kid. Call me if things go south, I’ll send Happy to come get you
Are you still coming over after school? DUM-E misses you
Spider-Son: I’ll be there :D
-
Peter took a seat across from you in the library study room. You and him were the only people to ever use the study rooms, and you both frequented them whenever you needed some peace and quiet. The librarians loved you and Peter, so they rarely bothered you when you were inside.
“Hey,” you said after a moment, and Peter looked up at you.
“Hi.” The silence that used to be comfortable between you two felt awkward, suffocating. The tension in the room was thick enough to cut with a knife and you took a deep breath.
“Thank you. For meeting me. You didn’t have to, and I know I don’t deserve it. I’d like to explain myself for what happened Thursday night. You don’t have to talk, but I’d like for you to listen. If you don’t want to listen, you can walk out right now and I won’t hold it against you. But I would like to explain why I reacted the way I did, if you’ll hear me out.” What felt like an eternity of silence passed before Peter spoke again.
“Okay.”
“You know I live with my older sister?” You asked and Peter nodded. “My parents weren’t happy together. They constantly fought, and as I got older, the fights got worse. My father blamed me and my mother just. Pretended I didn’t exist. At the end of last year, my father finally had enough and there was a huge fight before he left. The things he said… they stuck with me. My mother packed up and left in the middle of the night a week after, and I’ve lived with my sister since.” Your voice wavered.
“I’ve never seen a healthy relationship, Peter. I’ve never seen two people who really love each other. My whole perception of ‘love’ was fights, angry words, and insults. My parents didn’t love each other, and they didn’t love me or my sister. And I’m so scared I’ll be the same as them. I know you’d never… but I’m scared I’d hurt you. And in my attempt of trying to save you from being hurt, I ended up hurting you anyways.” A tear slid down your cheek. “I do love you, Peter. And that scares me. And I ran. I wish I could go back and stop myself from running, but I can’t.
“What I can do is apologize.” Your eyes met Peter’s warm brown ones. “I am so, so sorry, Peter. I wish I could take it all back and we could go back to how we were before. All I can do now is apologize and do my best to make it up to you. I understand if you can’t forgive me or if you don’t want to be friends anymore, but-“ The sound of a chair scraping against the floor startled you, as did the familiar feeling of Peter’s arms around you. You couldn’t stop the flow of tears that started and Peter turned your chair to face him, pulled you up and hugged you tight.
“I’ve got you, I’ve got you,” Peter soothed and you clung to him as if he would disappear if you let go. Minutes passed before either of you spoke again, the only sound in the room being the sound of your sniffles and Peter humming as he held you.
“I missed you,” you whispered and Peter’s grip on you tightened.
“I missed you, too.” You shifted to look up at Peter, whose own eyes were watering. “It’ll take time for things to go back the way they were. But I’m still in love with you, and I don’t want you out of my life. We’ll work through it. Together.”
And, yeah. Together sounds pretty nice.
-
A month later, the Avengers Compound was full of laughter. Happy and May Parker were seated at the dinner table, Pepper Potts and Tony Stark seated across from them. Ned and MJ sat at one half of the table, and Peter and Y/N sat beside each other, hands interlocked. Peter laughed at something MJ said, and Ned gestured wildly with his hands as he told a story, Y/N butting in with their own comments, and Peter’s eyes shifted to Y/N, a fond smile on his lips. Y/N caught his gaze, and everyone in the room could practically see the heart eyes the two had for each other. Things were great, as they should be. Peter hoped there could be many more days like that, and Y/N had every intention of making that happen.

Reader Summary: What happens after the will Warning: Kiss and flashback
"I'd also like to say that this USB is gonna burn out in a minute." You added on a slightly less serious note at the end. "You know, just in case certain people try to get their hands on this. Precautions and all that."
You took a slow intake of breath.
"That's it. For real, now. Goodbye... I love you."
Your words were hanging in the air even after the video had finished.
Nobody knew what to say or what to do or who was supposed to talk first after all of that. They simply kept to themselves in silence, the occasional sound of a sniffle or quiet sob being all that got through.
Pepper took a long minute to gather her thoughts and emotions as she wiped her eyes tenderly. She was the first to speak.
"Did (Y/n) leave anything else?" She asked quietly.
"I think that's it." Foggy said.
"No, there's more." Matt said, receiving a curious look from his partner. "Not something she left, but something she said."
"What was it?" Tony questioned, his tone eager.
"Only that if any of you needed help, you come to Nelson and Murdock if you don't know where else to go. She trusted us and she hoped that would be enough incentive. We hope so, too."
Foggy was quite surprised, clearly not having been in the room when you discussed this with Matt. The Starks and Parkers were also pleasantly taken aback, but found comfort knowing that you were watching out for them even now.
"We do have a calling card." Matt added. "Please, don't hesitate if you need us."
A silence followed as he waited for Foggy to put the copies of the mentioned card on the table. When he sensed that his partner didn't move, he lightly nudged Foggy's shoulder, prompting him into action.
"Thanks." Tony murmured, picking up one of the cards. "We'll think about it."
He was being genuine, of course. If he or Stark Industries ever needed a hand or two in legal obligations, he was assured by your faith in the lawyer duo. Pepper was thinking the same as each of them also took a card.
"Thank you." Ben also said, tucking it into his jacket. "If she trusted you, that's more than enough."
-
After the meeting had been called to end, everyone headed out of the office.
"Until we meet again, Mr. Stark, Ms. Potts." Matt said, shaking their hands once more.
"It was a pleasure." Foggy added, doing the same.
"Thank you for taking care of (Y/n)'s wishes." Pepper said.
"She was wonderful to work with."
"Even after you tried to gift her with cigars." Matt commented.
"She said she was flattered."
"And that's where we stop talking." Tony quickly intervened. "Again, thanks for everything."
They exchanged farewells and, soon after, Pepper noticed something.
"Where's Harley and Peter?" She asked.
Tony looked around, spotting Roberta in conversation with her son and Happy. They walked over while the Parkers stayed to talk to Hill.
"Roberta, where are the boys?" Pepper asked again.
"They're just outside, dear." Roberta said, having heard the concern in the other woman's voice. "Safe and sound, I promise. They're taking a good look at that watch (Y/n) left to Peter."
Tony's lips flickered up in a small smile at the news. Before, whenever someone mentioned your name, he would find his chest tightening and his heart thumping, but now, although those feelings still remained, it was accompanied by something lighter too.
"I appreciate the eye." He said.
"Anytime." Roberta smiled. "And I have to ask, how did the meeting go?"
"It was certainly something."
"She told me to get a girlfriend." Happy spoke up, smiling weakly.
"Oh, did she now?" Roberta chuckled, also with a tilt of the lips. "That's easily remedied. I have a list of my friends' daughters who are single."
He immediately turned red with embarrassment. "You don't have to do that."
"Nonsense. If (Y/n) wanted you to get a girlfriend, we'll get you one. I'd recommend Alice. She's lovely, that girl."
As Roberta started to list the qualities of 'Alice', Happy looked to Rhodey for help, motioning for him to change the subject quickly.
"She also made a video." He said, saving his friend.
Roberta stopped what she was doing and a small gasp of surprise escaped from her lips. "She did?"
"Yeah."
"And what did she give you? Do you need a woman too?"
Rhodey looked down with a smile as he shook his head. "No. She actually left me her car."
"Oh, how lovely."
Tony couldn't resist a little smile as he moved behind his best friend to mouth 'it's a flying car.'
Roberta showed intrigue. "A flying car..."
Rhodey looked back up and wondered how she knew, only to catch sight of Tony mimicking a flying motion. He playfully glared and Tony shrugged innocently.
"A little unconventional, I'll admit, but our little girl always was as eccentric as her father." Roberta admitted, sparing Tony a kind glance. "A flying vehicle sounds just like her dream car. I hope you'll be sensible, James."
Rhodey nodded. "Always, Ma."
Roberta was assured by that at least. She trusted him to be safe enough since he already did the majority of his military missions in the War Machine suit anyway. Perhaps the car would be a useful addition to those missions too.
It brought a tear to her eye thinking about it. She could remember when you were barely old enough to talk, and one of the first things you said was Rhodey's name as you gave him your favorite toy car.
"Do you know what kind of car it is?" She asked.
Rhodey went to answer but paused when he realized that he didn't actually know. "I didn't ask."
Almost as if the mention had summoned them, Hill and the Parker couple walked over as well. Rhodey asked about the car as soon as he could, eager to see it.
"It's here." Hill explained. "The parking lot, all the way from the garage."
"And it's in good condition?" He asked.
"There were damages from the incident but we managed. I'll take you."
"Hold on, which incident?" Roberta questioned.
Hill looked towards Tony with an uneasy glance. There were some people who didn't know all the details about your death and she was one of them.
"I'll explain later." Hill said for now, motioning for Rhodey to follow her.
"Mom?" Rhodey asked, offering his hand.
Roberta happily accepted, going to follow the two.
"Hold on." Tony called, intervening before they got too far. "(Y/n)... She said she left the Avengers a place, that you'd show us. Where is it?"
Hill paused, sparing him a second glance. "In time. After I've sorted the car out, then you'll see the surprise. Just hang around."
"Alright. I'll be here."
She nodded thankfully and left with the Rhodes duo. After this, Tony turned back to Pepper and the others, tuning in to their conversation also.
"Where's Peter?" May was asking.
"Your nephew is okay." Pepper reassured her. "He's with another boy, Harley Keener. Is that alright with you, Mrs. Parker?"
"Of course, Ms. Potts, it'll be nice for him to make another friend. And, please, call me May."
"Only if you call me Pepper." The other woman teased, smiling at her. "I think they're just around the corner."
"Thank you. I've got to say, it's an honor to meet (Y/n)'s real family."
Pepper nodded in agreement. "We're all her family now. She loved you just as much as us by the sounds of it."
"I hope so. Ben and I will be heading home soon and we'd love for you to join us. It's a chance to see (Y/n)'s apartment before it's tidied."
"Of course." She looked over at Happy next. "We'll follow behind?"
"Sure." Happy confirmed. "No problem."
She would've asked Tony to come with them too but he had the whole Avengers thing to deal with first. She knew he'd rather get that out of the way before seeing the apartment. And with that concluded, Pepper, May, and Happy headed towards the cars. Ben opted to stay behind for a moment.
He found rest against a wall and had been completely quiet during the women's exchange due to the 60k check in his hands. He still couldn't believe your generosity, knowing he truly didn't deserve a reward that great after everything. The SHIELD stamp on the paper and your signature dotted down in cursive glistened in the dying sunlight, making him sigh.
Tony, who had been observing the other man from a distance, finally chose to approach. "Ben Parker?"
The older man looked up, shaken from his thoughts. "That's right."
"Hey. It was good to meet you, even under these... Well, you know."
Ben gave a stiff nod. "Yes, I know."
"Yeah. So, you, uh... You doing alright?"
In all honesty, there wasn't an answer to the question. Instead, he just showed Tony the salary check.
"This shouldn't be mine." He said. "If anyone, you should take it."
Tony raised a brow. "What?"
"You're her father. She always loved you the most, even from the start. She was good like that."
"That's what they tell me."
"I'm sorry you didn't get a redo. It was all she wanted during the last few years. She... She didn't know what else to do but work and save and survive. And this money, I can't accept it. Please, take it."
Tony hesitated, considering the words for a moment. "She left it to you, not me."
"Sixty thousand." Ben sighed. "I've only ever dreamed of that amount, and it's not even the whole thing. Agent Hill said there's more."
"Unfortunately I'm already rolling in money and silk sheets." He joked. "I think you should save it for the kid. That's what she wanted."
Ben remained silent for a moment, staring at the check. "She loved him so much."
"I'm sure. I wish I'd known her like you did. I didn't know anything until it was too late."
Ben understood. He thought back on the shared conversations with you about family issues. You used to be so angry and acted out because you didn't feel like Tony could see you when you were younger. He thought about how it all changed when the hit was sent out, when you changed.
Maybe Tony was right.
Even if Ben didn't want to accept all the money, the least he could do was respect your wish and send Peter to MIT when he was old enough if that was where he still wanted to go when the time came.
"You are a normal family, right?" Tony then asked. "No aliens, secret spies, or wizards involved? I'm only asking because there's been a lot of that lately."
Ben looked at him, holding back a small chuckle. "We're normal."
"Good. That's good. So you met (Y/n) through Fury?"
"That's right."
Tony waited for more. "You gonna make me ask about it?"
Ben did let a chuckle slip out that time and nodded. "I'll tell you. But it's what he'd call 'classified' so I'd appreciate it if you kept it between us."
"Yeah, no, totally." He mimicked a cross over his heart. "Just between us girls, I promise."
Ben smiled, already seeing shining similarities between you and your dad.
"It started with my brother - Richard - and his wife, Mary. They worked for SHIELD in the early days." He explained. "The agent and the scientist, that's what everybody called them. They were high up in the ranks and were one of the few that Fury called friends. They left Peter with May and I when they had missions out of state."
"They're gone too?"
"Yeah."
"I'm sorry."
"No, it's okay. It's been a while."
Tony, much unlike he usually would, felt a strong pang of sympathy for Peter losing his parents, especially as it sounded like SHIELD business probably ended their family. He knew that pain, losing you in a similar way.
"Does the kid know?" He asked.
Ben shook his head. "After we were told, I wanted Fury to remove everything. I didn't want any trace of Peter there to risk him being a target. When he's the right age, if he asks, then he'll know."
"Just like (Y/n)." Tony mumbled, remembering that the fear for others' safety is what prompted the running away. "Do you know why Fury chose her?"
"I'm not sure, to be honest. He told us that it just had to be. Peter just needed someone."
"Why? What happened?"
"There was... It was a bad series of incidents with a babysitter. Peter didn't understand what was happening until we realized and put a stop to it."
Tony stayed silent for a moment, mulling over the words. He understood what Ben hadn't explicitly said and felt more sympathy for Peter after hearing it. It also triggered some of his own worries about you and all the years he missed. What if something similar had happened because he hadn't been there? Did you ever have to experience that same confusion and fear?
"(Y/n) came afterwards and it really helped Peter." Ben added. "They had a good connection. She taught him how to build things and laugh again, and he even taught her some things too. Namely pranks."
The two men shared a smile at that.
"Peter's a sweet kid. He's kind and intelligent, and he needed someone like (Y/n) to grow with that. Especially after what happened with the sitter. I'm pretty sure the best part of his life was when she introduced him to Star Wars. Star Trek and Back To The Future too."
Tony nodded, envisioning the scene in his head.
"She's the reason he wants to go to MIT." Ben also revealed. "She said that the great hero Tony Stark went there too and he was fixated on it after that."
Tony had a mixed flurry of emotions go through him after that. You called him a hero. Not Iron Man or the Avenger, but him.
"Did she talk about me a lot?" He asked.
Ben smiled, giving him a nod. "Once she started to hate all the anger she felt and made it positive instead, she couldn't stop. Rather than resentful she became proud. She was so scared during the Battle of New York. Terrified. Then there were the panic attacks and the anxiety... She hated being away."
A lump formed in Tony's throat and prevented him from breathing properly. Every time he heard it, an apology or how proud you were, it didn't feel real. After all, he may have changed, but there would always be part of the man he used to be inside of him. That was a man no one should ever want to be proud of.
Ben was about to mention you being at the Stark Expo next but was suddenly interrupted by Harley and Peter. Peter was looking incredibly shy, and Harley rather excited. He took Peter straight up to Tony.
"Hi." He beamed.
"Hey, kid." Tony replied.
"This watch is so cool!" Harley showed Peter's wrist where it was still strapped on. "Karen is awesome! She's smart and cool and even funny! She tracks things too! (Y/n) was super smart!"
"Sure was." He smiled, taking a good look at the design. "What do you think, Peter?"
Peter looked like a deer in headlights, stunned that his hero was actually talking to him.
"Really cool." He mumbled. "I'm happy (Y/n) remembered."
"She'd never forget." Ben said as he ruffled his hair affectionately.
"You were pretty close, huh?" Tony asked.
Peter nodded. "She said we were special siblings. Not related by blood but related because of happiness and choice."
Tony Stark wasn't the kind of man to get emotional over simple words but knowing how much Peter clearly meant to you fueled that strange urge to protect the boy even more. He wanted to continue your mission to watch over Peter, to make you proud again.
"Hey, underoos." He said, kneeling down in front of Peter. "You're (Y/n)'s neighbor so that means you're mine now, too. How does that sound?"
Peter still looked pleasantly bewildered but now there was also a light in his eyes again.
"I'd like that." He said.
-
On their way back to the office, Matt and Foggy were deep in conversation.
Foggy was of course driving while Matt was verbally listing what you had willed and making sure that everyone had gotten what they were left with. After it was all confirmed, Foggy let his curiosity get the better of him.
"I didn't know (Y/n) wanted us to look out for her family." He commented. "I mean, I'll say yes, but it was in the will?"
Matt sighed as he nodded. "Sorry I didn't tell you."
"When did it happen?"
"After we sorted everything else last year. I made a promise to her."
Foggy glanced over, curious. "Why do I get the really annoying feeling that you're not telling me something?"
-
A year ago, Matt had wound up in a SHIELD recovery wing.
Some very lucky thugs had managed to get a few good hits in before he stopped their criminal activity. He was only saved a worse beating because a certain (Y/n) Stark had arrived with SHIELD agents to deal with the criminals too.
You were talking with the SHIELD doctor about Matt's condition. After a lengthy debrief, all things considered, he was going to be okay as long as he got plenty of rest.
"Thanks." You said to the doctor, giving him a friendly smile before you split ways.
He went into the office by the wing entrance and you headed over to Matt's bed. He was awake which was good.
"Morning, princess." You teased.
He turned towards the sound of your voice, managing a small smile. "Ellen."
"Hey. How you feeling?"
"Like a million bucks."
"Oh, I'm sure. By the way, I hope my estate agent is still kicking. That was quite the brawl."
"He's okay." Matt promised. "Alive? Yes. Traumatized? Probably."
You scoffed in amusement, sitting down beside the bed. "I guess that's the best any of us can ask for, huh?"
"Apparently so."
"You know, it's a good thing my team brought you here instead of the hospital. You and I both know a certain nurse who complains every time she's gotta stitch you up."
Matt nodded, smiling again. "'Violent vigilantism' she calls it."
"Exactly. At least in SHIELD, no one complains."
"Ah, yes. What's the jury on that?"
"A few broken ribs, a dash of bruising, a nice big spoonful of pain." The two of you shared a laugh. "Seriously, though, you'll be fine. Just rest up for a few days and take the painkillers as prescribed."
"Yes, ma'am."
"Ugh, please, I'm definitely not old enough to be considered a ma'am."
His lips curved up in a smirk. "Keep telling yourself that."
You mocked a gasp. "Matthew, how dare you."
He raised a hand in surrender. "Sorry. I couldn't resist."
You smiled either way. "You're lucky I like you, Mr. Vigilante. Although, I'm really not a fan of the suit."
Matt groaned. "Really? This again?"
"Come on! Let me work my magic. Pretty please?"
"No."
"But they're literally just pajamas at this point. And without a proper suit designed to withstand a few matches, what if you get hurt even worse in future? Do you really want everyone worrying about you? I mean, with a new suit I could modify shock absorption, boost the force of a punch, even give you soles as light as a feather so you're extra quiet-"
"Fine."
You froze. "Wait, really?"
"You won't stop until I say yes, so... Yes. Just don't lose sleep over it. I know what you're like."
You grinned, happy. "Thank you, Matty."
"Just don't give me one of those AI's you're so fond of. I like FRIDAY, but I don't want that kind of distraction."
"Okay, okay. We'll take notes later."
"You're very persistent, you know that?"
"I do. It's great."
Matt shook his head with a subtle smile. "How are the others?"
"They're fine." You replied. "Worried about you, but fine. I let them know that you'll live."
"Good. And thanks again."
"For what?"
"Arriving with those agents. I'm pretty sure I'd be at the bottom of a dumpster without you."
"Hey, no sweat. I'm just happy I got to kick some ass."
"Still, I don't like it when others have to get involved." He lowered his voice so any lingering ears wouldn't pick up what he was saying. "Especially when one of them is a runaway billionaire."
"Again, I got to kick ass. It's all good."
You shared a smile.
"Oh, and Fogs called earlier." You added. "Just beside himself with worry."
Matt chuckled. "Really?"
"Dreadful, it was. But I dropped by at the office and explained what happened and he found solace in my words."
"Naturally."
"Yep. You've got a true friend there. He even gave me cigars as a thanks for helping you out."
"Of course he did." He sighed.
"Yeah, what's up with that? Why cigars?"
"We're probably better off not knowing."
"Fair point. I'm more of a beer drinker anyway. Maybe a really aged wine. Anyway, I told him I was flattered. I'll probably be handing them off to some of the guys who might actually use them. Don't tell him that last bit, though."
"Your secret is safe with me."
"Many thanks." You laughed a little but soon turned serious as you remembered the second reason you stopped at the office. "While I was there I also dropped off the box for the will. And the USB."
Matt nodded in understanding, knowing how much all of it meant to you. "How are you holding up?"
You went to reply but hesitated. In all honesty, you were scared. The will was just a precaution and you tried to play it off with jokes but the reality that things could turn very bad very quickly was starting to bite at you.
"It's weird." You confessed. "Planning my own death is... You don't expect to be doing that until you're at least fifty and yet here I am. I'm just glad I've got you, Matty. And Fogs. I wouldn't have asked anybody else."
Matt reached out and you held his hand as he spoke next. "We'll always be here for you, (Y/n). I promise."
"I know. I'm grateful. Any other person would've blabbed to the whole world about who I am."
"Yeah, well, I was taught to respect others, not exploit them."
You smiled a little. "I didn't expect morals from a boxing background."
"You'd be surprised."
"I don't doubt it."
You hesitated next, thinking about a request you had.
"If it's not too much, there's something else I'd like to add in the will. Well, sort of. It's more of a personal thing."
Matt nodded. "Of course."
"If something does happen to me in the end and I do end up... Dead... I want to leave your details with my family. The Parkers and the Starks. I'd feel better knowing they had you and Fogs protecting them."
He was surprised. "We'd be happy to. But your dad? I think he can afford better than us."
"True, but I don't exactly trust anyone else after what happened. His lawyer could be a - a sewer alien or something."
"A... Sewer alien?"
You laughed. "I don't know! But... Yeah. And you never know, you could even be an honorary Avenger out of it."
"I think I'll pass on that. Do they even need the help?"
"Everyone needs help."
"Alright. We'll do what we can."
"Thank you, Matty."
"I should be saying that to you." He joked, referring to his current condition.
You squeezed his hand lightly. "Still, I appreciate you looking out for me."
"(Y/n), I'd do anything for you. I promise."
You felt a warm sensation inside, like butterflies of nerves and anticipation. Whether it was just his words or something else entirely, you found yourself drawn to Matt. He was so genuinely kind and helpful and intelligent. He was one of the truest people you knew.
And so, letting your bold side take control, you slowly leaned in until your lips were mere inches apart. You felt both his and your own breath hitch at the sudden closeness. For a moment, you hesitated. But neither pulled away.
Matt was the one to close the gap, kissing you so softly you almost wanted to beg for more. His hand tightened around yours and you used your other hand to cup his cheek and deepen the kiss.
-
"How did I miss all of that?!" Foggy practically yelled, stunned.
Matt remained silent as he reminisced on that day. He wished more than anything to relive it, to have just one more moment with you.
"(Y/n) didn't mention any of that to me." Foggy continued. "I remember the night, though. And I definitely wasn't as worried as she made me sound. I was super cool."
Matt hummed to show he was paying attention.
"The Avengers, though. Wow. Imagine if we got to defend the Avengers. That would be awesome!" He glanced over at his friend again. "I can't believe you kissed (Y/n)."
Matt had been waiting for that bit to come up.
"Were you guys ever a thing?" Foggy asked.
"Don't start." Matt told him lightly.
"No, really. Were you?"
"Shut up."
And despite the pestering from his friend, Matt didn't let up and give an answer. He remained completely silent on the drive back.

snippet from a fic I'm writing
Morgan’s face goes serious, pushing the build-a-bear from her lap to give Peter her full attention. “Peter. You’re not happy. You’re tired and sad and far away.”
And if Morgan noticed then he understands why May looked at him like he was a ghost.
“I’m okay, bug. You don’t have to worry about me.” Because he’s failing, he’s still failing, he’s always failing. He isn’t doing enough, he isn’t being enough. He promised himself he’d be Morgan’s rock and instead she’s seeing through his cracks, seeing that he’s a pile of carefully constructed gravel instead of a rock, he’s in pieces and she knows.
“You worry about me all the time. Too much, really,” she says knowingly. “But we’re not ‘upposed to lie.”
“I’m the adult, bug. I’m supposed to worry about you and you’re supposed to be a happy little kid.”
Morgan shakes her head petulantly. “Can’t be a happy kid if you’re not a happy kid.”
“That’s not how it works, kiddo.”
“It should be!”
He sighs softly and adjusts her on his lap, getting comfy in the corner of his bed against the pillows. The moon shines on the backyard, the grill and Morgan’s tent and the lounge chairs are all out like it’s a normal nuclear family.
“It’s complicated, bug.”
Morgan crosses her arms over her chest. “Don’t tell me I’ll understand when I’m older. You always says I’m a genius, I’ll understand now.”
__
listen y'all it's at 6.7k words and it's gotta be one of my favourites so far. literally beyond excited.
Premise: Tony and Pepper die in the Final Battle. Peter takes over the mantle of being Morgan's guardian. Grief and angst and stress. Self-sacrificial Peter thinks Morgan comes above everything, even himself, and attempts to bury all his pain to take care of her.

Title: A May Day Rating: General Pairing: Peter Parker/Tony Stark Tags: Non-Sexual Age Play, Age Play, Fluff, Flower Crowns, Vacation Summary: Peter makes his Daddy a special gift. Notes: for @ageplay-may day one's Sugar Prompt: "May Day". i went sort of loosey goosey with the prompt and it's just about a spring day in may bc i don't know anything about the actual May Day lol AO3 Link
They were sitting in the garden of their vacation rental home, the warm Italian Spring air smelled sweet, the fragrance of the multitude of flowers wafting in the air. Tony was in the lounge chair, pen tapping against his chin as he read over one of the clues for the crossword he was working on. It was one of those cheap newsprint paperback books he had throw into the basket on impulse on the emergency trip to the drug store before they had gotten on the plane in New York.
He and Peter had agreed to minimal technology use on this vacation, and Tony knew that without that, he wouldn’t have much else to do when Peter was otherwise occupied. So, the crossword book had made its way into his bag. He filled in the answer, and then glanced up to check on Peter.
The boy was sitting in the grass, legs crossed, a pile of flowers in front of him that he was weaving together. Tony smiled at the adorable way Peter’s tongue was poking out of his mouth in concentration as he added another purple flower to his creation.
Tony went back to his crossword, filling in several answers in rapid succession. This was too easy, he mentally rolled his eyes. A little while later a shadow appeared over him and he looked up, smiling at Peter.
“Hi, daddy!” The boy chirped, hands behind his back.
“Hi, cucciolo, what’ve you got there?” He set his pen in the spine of the crossword book, closed it, and set it aside.
Peter pulled his hands from behind his back, revealing a wonky looking flower crown. “I made you this!” He beamed.
The flowers were unskillfully tied together, a few were barely hanging on, and several of the flowers had missing petals (no doubt from being manhandled by Peter). It was the most perfect flower crown Tony had ever seen.
“Oh, honey, I love it!” Tony reached out for it and Peter happily handed it over. “Thank you, baby.” He placed the circlet of flowers on his head and then reached for Peter.
The boy giggled as Tony pulled him down into his lap, making sure Peter landed sideways so his legs could dangle off the side of the chair. He pecked kissed all over Peter’s face, while tickling his sides, making him giggle even more.
“Daddy, stooop.” He half-whined, trying to squirm away.
“What’s the matter?” Tony pulled back. “Don’t like Daddy kisses?”
“No!” Peter hurried to say, “I love Daddy kisses, just don’t want tickles.”
“Hmm,” Tony pretended to think it over for a second before conceding. “Alright, no tickles. Just lots of kisses.”
“Right!” Peter agreed, leaning forward to press a sloppy kiss to his daddy’s cheek.
“Did you make yourself a crown, too?”
Peter gasped, spine straightening. “No! I need one, too, daddy!”
He scrambled off of Tony’s lap and began circling the garden, collecting more flowers. Once he seemed satisfied by his selections, he plopped back down in the grass and got to work weaving and tying. Tony went back to his crossword.
The pen had just lifted from the page as Tony filled in the last answer when Peter was back, this time with his own flower crown atop his head.
“Now we match!” He chirped, crawling back into his daddy’s lap.
Tony hurried to put the crossword book aside and then kissed his boy’s cheek as he wrapped him in his arms. “Perfect.”
