I don't know why more people aren't absolutely feral over this line like I am because like. Holy shit??? Those two are literally trapped in each other's orbits its fucking cannon. I swear i saw this line in a fanfic once but its so fucking true because (at first at least) Macaque had no reason to stay after LBD and even before that honestly but he did and he keeps doing so out of his own free will. There were so many points in the special where it would have made more sense/been safer to just leave but he didn't because he fucking cares, not only about Wukong but about others in general again and Peng can fucking see it.

Macaque and Wukong bring out the worst and (sometimes) best of each other while trying to become better people. Macaque doesn't even deny anything either, this just leads into his fucking iconic "straight up, I never liked you" and like. I'm losing my mind yall.

They have a hold on each other that, despite everything, has remained. So much so that Macaque gets called out on it by somone who knew them at their closest and I'm-

Hello everyone! I am thrilled to announce that I'm searching for collaborators for the first edition of a Psych Survivor zine!! I've been working on this project for a while, and there are several other components that will be rolled out throughout this spring (if you aren't an artist/writer but still want to be involved, keep an eye out on my blog.) This zine is going to be physically published and hosted on a website created specifically for this project.

This zine is open to anyone who identifies as mad/mentally ill/neurodivergent/psych survivor/ex patient, and any form of art is welcome, whether that's poetry, critical essays, digital art, photography, or anything else. Due to funding constraints, I will likely only be selecting 10-13 people to add to this edition. This edition is focused specifically on abolishing and transforming our medical records, and click on the link above to read the full prompt.

*banging fists on table* more mentally ill characters in stories that aren't just about them being mentally ill! More mentally ill characters in sci-fi, in fantasy, in romance and fun and high stakes situations and everything in between, as the heroes, as complex individuals, multifaceted and treated with respect, not having their needs and differences ignored or skirted around but, again, not having them be their only trait or plot point/entire premise! Please, I'm begging, on my hands and knees, there's a place for these topics and characters in realistic, reflective and literary fiction, yeah, but there's also a place in those magical, mystical, action packed, mysterious and alien worlds, give them to ME

[context: for my 2nd semester at uni we have to post some of our writing online and we have to pick social media sites to advertise said writing on]

I said I was going to make tumblr posts about my writing and my lecturer's reaction to that was "are you sure your audience is on tumblr?" "who even uses tumblr?"

is my audience on tumblr? where else do people actually read long form content anymore, other than tumblr? what better place is there to pretentiously ramble about my love of media than the hellsite that started it all? is my audience on tumblr?? the day I opened tumblr, it felt like I had found my people. ma'am, respectfully, i know where the mentally ill people are and they're all on tumblr with me. I do not appreciate her hoity toity superiority.
