We have become so quiet within ourselves that the music has to be loud to remind us that we are alive.

All it takes for us to be powerful is to be human because humanity is all about kindness. Learn to love in rhe dark times, learn to help who needs it. Don't be hard on yourself or on anyone else. Everyone has their own story. Don't judge. Be human, not God.

I still have the books you gave me, With lines marked in fluorescent, at the back of my bookshelf; Smelling of rotten roses and cigarettes, Smelling of an era of regret Smelling ancient and full of dust Smelling like our love.

Currently reading the Newcomer (A story of Death in Tokyo) by Keigo Higashino. As always, his plot is very clever.

Maybe one day we will meet again,
With a smile to offer, lesser baggage from the past to carry,
With a bit more life, with a bit more love,
Leaving behind the old fights at the door steps of the asylum we created for ourselves.
If the sky is blue, the sea is wet,
If love is not a regret,
If the sun has fire and the earth is round
We will walk our journey and find each other
And cross another path towards solitude.
We will meet again, at life's cross road
For a while to stare at each other's eyes
And remember what autumn feels like.

Smell like old love
We will meet again,
In a better place, at a better time,
Occupied with better things to do,
Content with better people in our lives,
Maybe I won't laugh like I used to
Maybe you won't make me laugh,
But over a cup of coffee and gender equality,
You would still feel a lot like love.
We will still smile at how different we are
And maybe, we have always been
With right and wrong, and war and peace
And endless debates the world had seen.
My ideas of democracy was not applicable
Your dictatorship was suffocating
It sometimes felt like a communist child
Trying to understand capitalist maketing.
You said that wars were important
But what is peace that requires war?
While I was talking about United Nations,
You were focused in Kings and Tzars.
It's funny how we thought so different,
But the arguments were worth a laugh,
Maybe over a cup of coffee
We will smell a lot like old love.

We all learn to live the things we can't change. It doesn't mean we have forgotten. It means that it matters so much that ignoring the feelings is the only way we can survive.

Quote
Maybe it’s time I stop wearing your T-shirts cause they no longer carry your smell. Nothing I have carry your essence any more.  You have been lost in thin air, as a fragrance I use to wear after my shower which would not stay forever. My body has forgotten your touch, my lips don’t remember how soft your lips were. My eyes look out for you into distant lanes but you are too blurry to be seen. I can assume a rough sketch of your figure, but I have to focus too much on that face. I remember the scar on your forehead, but that’s all I remember. Oh! There were two scars that I use to run my fingers on and tell you that they are beautiful.  See, I remember slightly, but not completely. You have faded from my life like the memories of college days. I guess, it’s time that I let that blurry image completely disappear but what if you decide to come back and I don’t recognize?

The Wait
I will wait for you
Till the sun goes down in the ocean’s heart And the moon comes up to light the sky, Till the time this earth is round, monsoons are wet, Stars don’t vanish and trees don’t fly.
I will wait for you till this heart beats And until the lungs can fill in the air in me, I will wait for you for a certain time And that time phase is called eternity.
I will wait for your calls in the night I will wait for your morning text, You shall be mine in this life time Or maybe in the next.
But I will always wait for you Because I don’t know when it is enough To stop the pain of the whole body shattering, To stop calling your betrayal as love.
I have loved you enough!

I remember the day you walked away
It felt like a piece of me was crumbling down
And there was nothing to live anymore for
And nobody to pick me up from the ground.
I know it sounds a little funny but
Trust me when I say,
It has been 2 years I didn't hear your voice
And it kills me every day.
It has been such a long time
I don't find you next to me
My hands still search for your chest each night
But I just forget that we are not meant to be.
Everything said and everything done
And it's all that I can understand from the show
I still write down poetry for you but
I guess you will never know.

Maybe I will see you again-
In a winter evening, in some coffee house sharing a muffin with another woman. I will look at you from a distance and I will think of how much your face has changed. You have wrinkles on your skin, you have a rounder belly but you still smile crookedly through your black round spectacles. Oh! And you still don't know how to use a fork. By this time, you too see a woman staring at you so anxiously. You remove your specs and cringe your forehead, maybe wondering where you have seen her. And then you recall that in the days of your youth, there was a woman you called 'life'. We had shared many muffins in many coffee shops, we have walked many lanes, we have kissed a million times. As I think of walking towards you and you feel likewise, something stops us. There are a thousand questions in our head and unfortunately, without any proper answer. How have we lived all these years without each other? What if you don't remember me completely? Life has given me such a wonderful time to just look at you from a distance and be alright because you seem happy? Are you happy? Does she make you happy? Does she sit on your laps while you watch your cricket matches? Does she wake you up in the middle of the night cause she wants to go out or she is hungry? Do you look at her the way you used to look into my eyes and say that your life would be too sweet without me but you don't like desserts unless I offer you one? Do you hold her waist and draw her close while you kiss her? Do you remember me?
So, I walk past you and I smile because I know that somewhere in your heart, you remember what it was to share a muffin together.
