More Than A Friend
TW: lesbian sex, drinking, pet names, slowish burn (?), dildo, fingering, oral (both receiving)
Paring: Hermoine x Fem!reader
This was inspired by the song more than a friend by GIRLI it's so good go listen to it
Tumblr media
I watch as she laughs at something Ron said the way her hands rub up and down his bicep. I grumbled and took another swig of my butterbeer already feeling some of the buzz “slow down there Y/N we do have work tomorrow” Harry says I roll my eyes but smile as his concern “I'll be fine Harry” I say not breaking contact from Ron and Hermione, Harry follows my gaze “you know instead of staring daggers at Ron you could just confess your feelings for her” I laugh “oh Harry I could never do that look at them she still as a thing for him” I say and sigh looking away “she doesn't she told me she wouldn't date him if it meant she could be the most powerful wizard alive” I smile “even then i can't ruin the friendship i mean we are roommates where would I live” “Hermione would never kick you out and if she does you always have a room in my home” Harry says and walks away. I sigh and order another butterbeer and make my way towards Ron and Hermione.
“Y/N settle this debate will you debate whos hotter the girl in the red dress or the girl in the black dress” Ron says clearly tipsy, I tap my chin and fake think “black dress for sure” I say “that's right see Mione, well i'll leave you girls im going to go get laid” he says walking to the girl with the black dress. “Such and intelectual debate you guys had there” I joke Hermione laugh “yea you know ron thinks with his dick” we laugh and I take a sip oof my beer and i catch a glimpse of Hermione through the now clear glass and she blew me a kiss, I choke and cough “are you ok Y/N'' she says fully concern for me “um yea I thought I saw something thats all but im fine” I smile, did she really blow me a kiss no she couldn't have right. We spent the rest of the night drinking and dancing.
Around 2 in the morning we parted ways and Hermione and I took a cab. When we got to our apartment we went to her room to talk, “did you see how drunk Ron got it was hilarious and when he started to dance on the tables I so thought we were going to get kicked out” Hermione says laughing I smile but roll my eyes when she’s not looking. I grab a pillow and sit on the floor while she goes to the bathroom to brush her teeth as she keeps talking my mine starts to daydream, and in it me and Hermione are making out and my hands are roaming her curves and she starts to kiss my jaw and lowers to my neck nipping and sucking, next thing I hear her calling my name but it sounds far away, I slowly open my eyes and see I’m know laying on the floor making out with the pillow and Hermione is looking at me confused I laughed it off and did some push up “just staying in shape you know” she shakes her head and finishes in the bathroom, and I go to my bedroom.
The next day it was our day off so we went to a small café near our apartment. After we ate we went our separate ways with me going home. At night Hermione came back “Y/N I’m home want to watch a movie I heard of this one new movie it’s supposed to be so hot” I walk to the living room and smile “sure put it on I’ll make some popcorn” I go make the popcorn and when I go to the couch the movie as just started “what’s it about” “about to girls that realize there lesbians and love each other” I inhale deeply a blush creeping up my cheeks. Half way through the movies the girls start making out and undressing I look over to Hermione and she’s already looking at me with a smile I quickly look away return to the movie, Hermione moves closer to me and gets under my blanket “just a little cold” she says my blush gets darker but I say nothing just nodding. When the girls in the movie start to get more Into it I again look over at Hermione and she again was looking at me, and it’s as if time stopped as she leaned towards me and kisses me.
I’m in shook at first, my best friend just made the first move she kissed me “I’m sorry I shouldn’t have done that I don’t know what came over me” she says pulling away but I pull her back and kiss with all the passion in my body “it’s ok” I say resting my four head against her, she smiles and we get into a heated make out. Hermione started kissing down my neck and sucking and nipping there leaving behind love bites that I would wear with pride tomorrow. She went lower pushing up my shirt and I take it off, she pulls my bras down and tits bounce from there release . Hermione licks and nibbles on my nipple and I arch my back and moan from the pleasure she switches to the left one and repeats it untold my nipple pebbles, once she gets the reaction she wanted she goes lower and removes my panties “wow your so wet baby” I moan “all for you only you” I say lifting my hips to get her to touch me where I need it most. Hermione slaps my thigh causing me to whimper “don't rush I’ll touch you” she says and takes one of fingers from my pussy to my clit circling it, she lowers herself and takes my clit in her mouth sucking and licking at it. I rake my fingers through her hair and pull her closer “oh mione that feels amazing dont stop” she moans moving her tongue faster she brings one of her hands up and plunges two fingers in me curling them hitting that delicious spot.
I throw my head back arching my back from the pleasure as I close my eyes, I see stars from all the pleasure. Hermione thrust her fingers faster shaking her head spreading my wetness all over her face, she messages my g-spot and I let out a silent scream cumming all over her face and fingers she continues kitten licking my clit, extending my organs and I have to push her away from over stimulation. “Let’s go to my room” she says after I caught my breath I kiss her deeply tasting myself and pull her towards her room, when we get in I say “let me return the favor” and push her on the bed straddling her wait. I remove her shirt and see that she’s bra less I smirk taking one of her pebbled nipples in my mouth nipping and sucking it Hermione pulls my hair and I groan moving to her other nipple. Before I continue my journey I suck two love bites on each breast, I then start kissing down her body leaving kisses as I go. When I reach my destination I put her legs over my shoulders and take her clit in my mouth licking and sucking on it, I go to her opening and lick up all her juices and moan at her taste, Hermione pushes my face deeper in her pussy and I bring one of my hands up plunging two fingers and curling them and messaging her g-spot. She moans and arches her back shoving her pussy closer to my face I go back to her clit nip at it gently and suck it to sooth it I continue that rhythm thrusting my fingers faster and faster and Hermione cums all over my face with a loud moan. When I pull away I look at her in her post orgasm glow and climb over her to kiss her hitting her lower lip and our tongue fight for dominance with Hermione winning, a minute later we pull away gasping “give me a second let me get something” she says pushing me aside I lay on the bed and watch her go to her dresser and pull something out that I couldn’t see at first but when she turned around I saw it was a double ended dildo. I bite my lip and sit up “when did you get that” I ask “um about a month ago. I’ve been throwing hints at you but you missed all of them” she says laughing I blush and look away “you should have said something” “well it doesn't matter now does it we’re here now” she says getting on the bed pushing me to lay down.
Hermione rubs the dildo through tummy folds and then slowly pushes it in my pussy, I let out a small moan and then she places the other end in her and climbs me like we are about to scissor each other. Once our pussies were touching we started to grind onto each other, our clits rubbing against each other to add to exquisite pleasure, I throw my head back and moan her name “move faster please” I moan out and she does and grounds harder into me. We bring our hands and rub each other clits and we start panting “I’m so close” we say together we rub our clits faster and through our head back as cum on the dildo and I feel our liquids dripping down my folds and ass.
After a minute Hermione slowly gets off the dildo and pulls it out of me I whine and flop down on the bed. She throws the dildo at the end of the bed and lays down next to me “ I love” she says I gasp and smile “I love you to” I say and kiss her deeply and we fall asleep holding each other.

Y/n didn’t know what prayer worked out of the multiple ones she consistently recited for this day to finally come into fruition. The day where Harry set aside work and exchanged his incredibly busy schedule with one where his only agenda was to unwind and bond with his family, friends, and ofcourse Y/n, his girlfriend of almost five years. Today was a couple of days before his birthday and a day before their anniversary, so it meant everything for Y/n that the love of her life gets to celebrate the way he deserves to, even for just the weekend.
They were currently staying at a resort in Big Sur, Harry’s mom and older sister, as well as a couple of their closest friends had cleared their own schedules to be able to celebrate with Harry. Y/n took pride in finding the perfect venue for this weekend getaway, and she was just as proud at the gifts she had bought for her man, a bundle of vintage vinyls she knew he’d absolutely love, and an electric guitar he’d been eyeing online for quite some time now. She intended to give him these gifts once they got back from their trip.
Anne and Gemma were picked up directly from the airport by Mitch and Sarah, with their child in a car seat who was asleep for most of the drive, while some of their other friends drove themselves to the resort. The couple on the other hand, ran a little later than intended as the night before, they did some ‘special adult activities’ that they were aware they could not do on the group trip, to keep it as wholesome as possible. Y/n woke up, bundled in sheets, beside Harry who was still deep in slumber while the clock on his bedside table read 7:15. The drive from their shared home in L.A. to Big Sur would take at least 5 hours, but traffic would surely be expected so they planned beforehand to leave as early as possible so they could arrive at the venue by noon. Thankfully, they finished packing and loading their things in the car early the day before so all they had to do was quickly get ready and make sure they didn’t forget anything.
“You made sure the oven isn’t on?” Y/n asked loudly as she bolted out the front door, “Baby, we didn’t even cook anything yesterday, the oven is off… And so are the lights in every room. We’re good to go.” Harry explains as he gets in the driver’s seat. “I’m so excited! The weather’s so nice!” Y/n exclaimed and to that Harry smiled, while pulling out their driveway. The drive went smoothly, at the three hour mark they realized that they were definitely not gonna make it on time, so Y/n  sent a text in the group chat that the group, who all surprisingly showed up on time, should eat lunch without them and that they’d just pick up some drive-thru on the way.
The clock read almost 2 p.m. when they arrived and everyone thought it was funny how it seemed like the couple planned their grand entrance by being tardy like the duo they were known to be. Always so fashionably late. Catching up was necessary and so that was what they mostly did throughout the rest of the day, besides watching a couple of movies and cooking dinner. It unexpectedly rained around dinner time so their plans of starting a bonfire that night were postponed until tomorrow evening. Everyone went to their designated rooms after they all agreed to wake up extra early for a hike, Anne and Gemma deciding not to join as their jet lag got the best of them and so they could look after the burnt out parents' baby.
After their group hike in the morning and a very filling lunch when they got back, everyone spent the rest of the afternoon swimming until the water got too cold and the sun was setting. "Thank you for convincing me, Y/n. I really needed this." Harry said as they walked back to their room to freshen up before dinner. "You're welcome, baby. You always work so hard, I'm so happy you actually agreed. I'm sure the others needed this just as much as we do." After taking a quick shower and changing to more comfortable lounge clothes, everyone headed to the dining table where comfort food was served.
“You have one year before you turn three decades old, darling.” Anne jokes and Harry shakes his head with a chuckle as they sit beside each other at the table. Harry handed Y/n the bowl of rice before replying to his mum, "Making me sound so old!" and Anne returned the same laugh. "Well, you're not necessarily a baby anymore… Might as well have a baby of your own!" Harry didn't reply but smiled at the idea. His career was doing incredibly well, he's well received by the public, he has amazing family and friends who have supported him throughout the years, and a girlfriend he never thought he'd deserve. Life was good, and a family of his own one day sounded like heaven to his ears.
Dinner went by fast as everyone devoured their meals, hungry from the activities they did all morning and afternoon. Noticing that the sky was clear tonight, they decided to finally start the bonfire and set up some chairs around it. S'mores were made and beer bottles were opened as stories were shared by everyone. Sarah accompanied their baby to their room as it was approaching bedtime. Mitch picked up the guitar he had brought with them and everybody cheered when music started echoing the open area.
Although it was a simple get together, Harry was having the time of his life… Singing, drinking, laughing until he almost fell off the foldable chair, all while being wrapped in his lover's embrace and surrounded by nature. "I can't wait to show you my gifts when we get home." Y/n whispered in his ear. "Why wait at home when you can show it to me tonight?" he playfully replied, making her erupt in giggles. "That's not what I'm talking about. I have more to give but they're at home." She says as she kisses his cheek.
Y/n was singing along until she felt something boiling at the pit of her stomach. She quickly excused herself from the circle to go to the bathroom. Could it have been something they ate? Everything served was fresh and no one seemed to have an upset stomach aside from her at that moment. Immediately heading for the bathroom door, the knob appeared to be locked from the inside. "One second!" Gemma exclaims as she turns off the sink. Once she opened the door, Y/n rushed to the toilet and puked most of dinner out. "Y/n, are you alright?" Gemma asks in worry as she rushes towards Y/n's side. She took a minute to answer as she vomited one more time, "Uh… I'm fine. Just an upset stomach, maybe." Right as she finishes her sentence, another round of puking erupted from her as Gemma held her hair up and rubbed her back soothingly. "How many have you drunk so far?" She hasn't had anything to drink tonight… Come to think of it, the past few weeks she had refrained from drinking overall. No particular reason, she thought. But truly, a part of her brain was telling her she shouldn't.
"I haven't been drinking at all lately." At this, she stood up and headed over to the sink. "I've been feeling nauseous lately, but never to the point of puking. I don't know if it's something I ate today… I don't know." She adds as she rinses her mouth with water, lightheaded from the endless vomiting. Cog wheels started turning in Gemma's head as clueless Y/n explained her current situation. "Y/n I don't want to alarm you, but do you think maybe there's a chance… you might be pregnant?" She asked, trying her very best to not worry her, in case the girl didn't want to hear that right now.
It took her a minute to process what Harry's sister had said. Could she really be pregnant? If she was, that could explain everything she'd been feeling lately. Even as hectic as Harry's schedule was, they did still have some time to themselves and ‘bond’. Not as often as they would've liked but they take advantage of any time they could have together. The past couple of weeks though, Y/n had found herself becoming clingier than usual, craving his presence a little more than she already did. And she started losing a bit of appetite for food she'd normally be able to inhale when she craved it. Feelings she thought were seemingly normal, turned out to be symptoms all along. No wonder the mere smell of alcohol made her stomach turn!
She stared at herself in the mirror for a couple more seconds, then turned to look at Gemma with concern on her face, patiently waiting for Y/n to say something. "It's not impossible… I might be." Y/n finally spoke. She was genuinely shocked. Really shocked because they haven't really planned on having children any time soon. Should she tell Harry now? Or should she take a test first just in case? "Do you want me to grab a pregnancy test for you?" They were walking out of the bathroom now. "It's alright, I'll take a test the moment we get home tomorrow. I don't think I should tell Harry yet." Y/n whispers as they head back to where everybody was, following the sounds of loud singing and beautiful guitar playing. Before they could exit the door, Gemma grabbed Y/n's hands. "If you really are pregnant, I just wanna say that I'm happy Harry gets to start a family with you. I'll try to hide it from mum for now but I can already tell she'll be ecstatic!" This meant everything for Y/n. His family loved her like their own and she values them so much. After hugging, they finally arrived back at the bonfire. Fortunately, some of them were too tipsy, Harry included, to notice their absence. "Hey, baby!" Harry reached for Y/n's hand and motioned for her to sit beside him. She obliged and quickly engulfed in Harry's warm embrace.
After another hour and a half, with Sarah joining them again once the baby fell asleep, they were bringing their chairs back inside and headed to their rooms to end the night. Harry and Y/n were laughing as Harry stumbled into their shared room after losing his balance when she opened the door. "Oi! Laughing a little too loud at a poor man falling instead of helping him up?" she giggles uncontrollably while reaching her hand out to help him.
Harry was about to kiss her after he closed the door but Y/n immediately felt the same wave in her stomach as she did earlier and bolted to the bathroom. Harry rushed behind her as he watched his girlfriend puke her guts out, head hanging above the toilet. "Are you okay, love? Had too much to drink?" he asked as he knelt down beside her. For a second she stared at the bathroom floor, not knowing if any second she'll puke again before she can get any words out. After a minute of silence she finally spoke, "Harry, I didn't drink at all tonight." She didn't want to tell him just yet, she wasn't entirely sure after all. But the way she looked at him almost begged him to read between the lines and understand the point she was trying to make. It took him a moment, still in his half drunk state. She looked into his eyes then down at her stomach, which wasn't showing, but she hoped he got the message.
"You're pregnant?" he asked in confusion, searching for answers in her eyes which were now welling up with tears. All she could do was nod as he pulled her in his arms. "I'm not entirely sure yet. But when I left to use the bathroom earlier, I ran to puke and Gemma helped me. She was the one who asked if I was possibly pregnant. I wasn't really thinking about it at all." Harry pulled away before he could reply. "We're having a baby?" he asked, more enthusiastic now. "Maybe…" she replied after rinsing her mouth. Without wasting another moment, Harry closed the gap between him and his lover as he kissed her prior worries away. She didn't want to ruin the trip by announcing this to her partner out of the blue, but it was never bad news to begin with. Once they pulled apart from each other's hungry lips, Y/n had one thing to say, "Surprise?" They both immediately laughed and hugged at her words.
They went outside again, that very same night. While the rest were fast asleep, they walked hand-in-hand talking about clearing both their schedules to book and attend an appointment for a check-up. Harry didn't think this getaway would get any better, but it just did. "Baby, I almost forgot!" Y/n alarmingly exclaimed as she looked at the time on her wrist watch. "What?!" Harry asked with concern, but she smiled at him before he could panic. "Happy Anniversary, H." she spoke, resting her hand on his cheek, pulling him into a quick peck on the lips. "Happy Anniversary, angel. I love you so much."
When they finally got home the next day, Y/n gave Harry the gifts she had bought, he adored every single one of them. And while she napped after unpacking their luggage, Harry spent the rest of the afternoon scavenging for the perfect engagement ring online.

Hello! I’m Ari and I’m 1/2 of Aothotties. We’re two black women that like to write about our favorite anime men. This blog is 18+ so that means that if you’re younger than 18 you need to move along please and thank you. Anyways please enjoy the first piece of writing, it’s based off of ‘The Way’ by Kehlani
Warnings: NSFW, Established relationship, Reader is like 24+, a lil bit of overstimulation, Nanami being a bit of a tease.
Word Count: 1K
~~~~~~~~~
You so damn important
Everything you do shows me you know it
To Nanami you’re everything he could ever want and more. He doesn’t know how he got so lucky to have you in his life.
He loves the cute text messages from you reminding him to drink water, his favorite time of the day is when you call him on your way to work.
“It’s going to be a long shift so I’ll try and call you during my lunch break” you tell your boyfriend, making sure you focus on the road at all times.
“I could always come and have lunch with you in the café.” He offers and your heart melts at the thought.
“I’d take you up on that, but my break isn’t going to be until midnight, and that’s if I’m lucky. The hospital is busy around the holidays” you sigh as you pull into the parking lot and pull into your usual spot.
“That sound means you’re at work doesn’t it? I’ll let you go so you can get yourself together, call me if you need anything. I love you.”
You swear you feel your heart flutter each and every time he says those words.
“I love you too! Oh and I stopped by your house and left you some dinner. I made too much food and I know how you like to skip meals when you get busy. I hope you enjoy it, have a good night!” You end the call and get ready for work.
If you didn’t tell him how much he meant to you, you always made sure you showed it somehow.
He say the king where he come from
Take a young queen just to know one
To Nanami, money was never an issue and he always made sure to let you know that. Anything you wanted was yours, without hesitation. You needed help with student loans? Done. Your car needs gas? Already taken care of by the time you’re on your way home in the morning. He almost tried to buy you a car, but you turned him down.
Nanami would buy you the world if you wanted him too, he’s a hard working man who busted his ass for years to get to where he is today. His journey to becoming the CEO of his company was anything but easy, but it’s truly rewarding if it means he gets to spoil the love of his life.
“Those are nice.” you say to yourself as you scroll on your phone, taking a closer look at the ad that caught your attention.
“And that is?” Your boyfriend asked, handing you the wine glass you asked him to pour you after dinner.
“Oh it’s nothing, just these cute scrubs I saw while scrolling online. They’re the jogger kind and come in different colors.” You showed him a photo of the set and he took the phone from your hand and began to type.
“Baby what are you doing?” you lean over to see what he’s doing on your phone and he gently holds you back with one arm
“Just a second, be patient sweet girl” he says, one arm wrapped around your waist and the other hand typing on your phone quickly.
“Here, all done.” He hands you the phone and presses a gentle kiss to your forehead before standing up and walking towards the kitchen.
When you opened your phone up, you were met with a confirmation screen for the scrubs he just bought you.
“They’ll be delivered to your apartment tomorrow afternoon, I got you different colors, since you like to wear solid colors some days and then have those little cartoon characters on them other days.” You watch as he leans against the kitchen counter and you feel like you’re falling in love all over again.
We gon' wake your neighbors
Turn your block club to my fan club
“N-Nanami!” you moan out into the pillow below as he thrust into you from behind.
“Yeah princess? Cat got your tongue?” He grabs your hair in his fist and pulls you up so that your back is flush against his chest
You grip his thigh as he continuously pounds into your cunt like a mad man, his thrust not letting up as he keeps hitting your sweet spot.
“I-I’m so close baby, so f-fucking close.” You whimper loudly, biting your lip at the feeling of him pulling your head back farther onto his shoulder.
He leans his head down and presses his lips against yours, you could tell he was getting close by the way his hips begin to speed up. He wraps one of his large hands around your throat, giving it a light squeeze.
You began bouncing back on his dick quickly to try and reach your climax, Nanami forces your legs open with his free arm and begins rubbing your clit to help you reach your high.
You scream out loud as your cunt tightens around his dick and you reach your climax. You back continues to arch and you whine from the overstimulation of him continuing his thrust.
“N-Nanami s’too much. I-I can’t!” You whine loudly as he continues to bounce you up and down on his dick quickly.
“You can take it princess, go ahead and give me one more. I know you can baby.” He whispers in your ear, he grabs your jaw and turns your face up to look at him while he fucks into you.
You squeeze your eyes shut from the pleasure and he harshly presses his lips against yours giving you a sloppy kiss, he groans and bites your lip as he emptied himself inside of you.
He sighs against your lips before he pulls back and presses his forehead against yours, slowly trying to regain control of his breathing after the activities that just took place.
“Thank you for the scrubs” You say weakly as you begin to fall asleep in his arms, he smiles at how tired you instantly become and plants a kiss to your forehead.
“Anything for you sweet girl.”
2. We were dancing but all of a sudden it’s a slow song and we’re standing here awkwardly staring at each other
(gotta tag both @torahime and @nick-furcillo in this one now. kenize because I’m a complete moron who originally posted this like a week early and deleting the og post meant I had to make another one, and tora because she too hilariously enough ALSO requested this exact premise lol)
Nick had never so badly wanted to die in his whole entire life than right now.
Which, all things considered, he really should have expected considering that this whole shebang was really Jacob's idea in the first place. That wasn't to say that all the other counselors certainly hadn't made their own contributions in making this party what it was though, Nick included.
Emma had been the one to suggest making the party eighties themed in the first place and opening the drama cabin's costumes up to the camp so everyone could dress up. Dylan who made the playlist that everyone could dance to out of all the music records found. Abi who was in charge of decorating the lodge to give it a sufficient eighties inspired look and fun for the kids. Nick himself the one who recommended having supper that night be a 'make your pizza' party complete with too many soft drinks and bags upon bags of potato chips. Kaitlyn who organized the shooting stars tournament that would determine which cabin of kids would be making (and thus eating) their pizza’s first and getting first crack at all the ‘good’ ingredients.
And Ryan? Well he had had the most important job and contribution of all: convincing Chris Hackett that they were allowed to even throw the eighties themed dance party in the first place on such short notice. Especially with camp ending in just another short couple of days.
Though at this point, Nick was starting to wish that Ryan had failed, or that Jacob had never been punished with tidying the lodge attic that had resulted in him finding the music records that started this whole thing in the first place.
Which was a shame, because the night had been going so fucking smoothly too! There had been almost no arguments over the pizza toppings, and only one kid had burst into tears when they had dropped their pizza and it fell face down onto the floor. And sure, Nick had nearly sweated to death in the kitchen with the oven cranked as high as it could, but that happened nearly every night he made supper so really that wasn’t a big issue. Plus, he hadn’t changed into his own costume until afterwards, he probably would have actually died otherwise wearing the nearly all-white khaki ensemble with the heavy jacket (and that wasn’t even mentioning all the stains he would have ended up with too).
He had even been able to join in on the dancing himself once Kaylee and Caleb had both switched with him and taken over making sure that the punch and snacks bowls stayed filled and clean cups always at the ready. And, best of all, the last couple of those dances had been with Abi. Abi, the girl he’d had such an embarrassingly large crush on all summer, but had been, as Jacob so loved to eloquently put it: ‘too much of a chickenshit to do anything about it’.
And seeing as the last day of camp was pretty much tomorrow, Nick wasn’t exactly jumping at the bit to let her know about any of that. Not when the chances of them ever seeing each other ever again after they all split ways was pretty much nil, and he didn’t even have her number or socials or anything to keep in contact afterwards.
(Okay, fine. Yes, he still had her email address that had been listed on the orientation packet. Yes, he had maybe stared it at long and often enough that he had memorized it ages ago. No, he was absolutely not gonna be messaging her through it, are you insane Kaitlyn?! Doing that would just make him look like some sort of desperate creep oh my fucking god!)
So Nick was more than content to just share a couple of quick dances with Abi. Keeping a friendly and respectful distance between each other as they danced to whatever band Mr. H had apparently listened to in his youth. Occasionally laughing with her when the both spotted one of their campers doing some absolutely ridiculous dance move that apparently both were now too old to recognize as being the new, cool thing if one had to judge from the excited shrieks that would always arise from nearby kids every time one was pulled off.
It was nice. It was good. And if this was the last chance that Nick would ever get to spend some time with his summer crush, then he would enjoy every last second of it.
As the last couple of notes of Danger Zone had begun to wind down, Nick knew he should probably have excused himself and gotten back to the kitchen so he could relieve Caleb and Kaylee a song or two back now, and that he should definitely do so now. That was the responsible thing to do after all, but the problem was that he also wanted to stay and continue dancing with Abi a whole lot more. Not that he had time to make either choice when the music faded not into another of the hard rock songs that Dylan had been playing all night, but into a song much, much softer.
A song that sounded suspiciously like one someone would have to slow dance too.
Whatever shock was on his face though was clearly reflected almost identically onto Abi’s as well. Staring up at him with the same wide-eyes and almost gaping mouth, bodies frozen in place awkwardly as all the campers continued to dance around them, not caring or even noticing what the change in music meant as they grabbed nearby friends to dance with.
Slowly, Nick turned to look over his shoulder to where Dylan was standing with the music equipment, demanding to know exactly what the actual fuck he thought he was doing. Only to be met with a wide, beaming smile of encouragement. Encouragement only matched by the double thumbs up he sent Nick’s way.
Forget dying, he was going to kill that Patrick Star looking ass motherfucker if it was the last thing he did. And considering he felt like he was going to die from the mortifying embarrassment of staring at Abi awkwardly as literally everybody else in the room continued to dance, it probably would be.
And yet, despite the fact that this was literally the perfect time to excuse himself and get back into the kitchen where he could wither away and die in peace, he found that he wanted to leave the dance floor even less now.
“We...we can keep dancing if you want. I’m okay with it if you are...”
Nick could only blink down at Abi in shock. There was absolutely no way he had heard her right, no way at all. There was no way that she was fine still dancing with him, that she wanted to keep dancing with him. Not when the extremely romantic Listen to Your Heart was currently playing very loudly and clearly throughout the lodge.
If Dylan had thought he was being subtle with the message of the song, then he clearly had another thing coming. Cause his definition of subtlety was far, far closer to hitting someone up the side of the head with a brick.
“...You sure?”
“Yeah, totally,” Abi nodded, even as she kept her eyes firmly planted on her feet. “I mean, it’s just like any old song, right?”
“R-right. Yeah. Totally.”
Even with that agreement, neither still made the first move to actually reach out and put their hands on each other. Instead partaking in their own little awkward dance of trying to figure out where exactly the safest place to put said hands would be, squeakily apologizing every time their arms managed to collide into each other and pulling back before trying again. It took them both until about midway through the first chorus to actually get settled and into a somewhat appropriate position with her hands on the top of his shoulders and his resting lightly on her waist.
Nick’s honestly not sure what part is the most painfully awkward to look at: the fact that the full foot in height difference means that Abi’s almost straining to try and reach him even though he’s hunched down slightly to make it easier, or the even more obvious fact that Mr. H would have been thrilled with how much distance they were keeping between themselves as they held their arms stiffly out. Forget ‘room for Jesus’, Nick was pretty confident that Jacob could have easily fit in between them!
And, surprisingly, it was easy to ignore the soft weight (and warmth) of Abi’s hands up on his shoulders as they awkwardly swayed side to side. Though the main reason it was easy to ignore was due to the pure fact that she had cut the bottom off of one of her band t-shirts for tonight, meaning that Nick was trying extremely hard to forget the fact that he had his own (likely super sweaty) hands on the extremely bare skin of her waist.
“So,” Nick starts off, wincing and hoping that Abi didn’t notice the sharp crack in his voice as he did so, “the decorations look nice?”
He’s currently in the middle of kicking himself for the very unintended way his voice had decided to catch at the end, turning what was supposed to be a statement into a question, when Abi nervously laughs. “Thanks, but it was mostly the kids that made everything, I just showed them examples that I had already made to give them ideas.”
“Well they clearly must have had a pretty great teacher then, cause they did an amazing job.”
Nick can’t help but catch Abi’s face starting to go pink even under the dim lights, and as always he’s pleased with himself that he was even able to make her blush in the first place. He’s ready to continue in the same vein as those compliments—willing and able to say whatever it takes if it makes her continue to keep blushing pretty pink like that—when someone (ie: Emma) bumps into Abi from behind and sends her crashing into him.
“Whoops! Sorry about that Abi!” Emma calls over her shoulder (not sounding very sorry about it at all in Nick’s opinion) before she leads Jacob back to vanish into the crowd...or at least, she would have vanished if it wasn’t for the fact that the crowd pretty much consisted of nothing but kids that were still shorter than Abi and Kaitlyn.So instead Nick got to watch her head straight back towards where Kaitlyn and Ryan are also sharing a slow dance of their own. Ryan somehow looking more awkward than Nick felt and like he would rather be anywhere else but here as Kaitlyn does her best to keep a light mood with a forced smile on her face... all while Dylan watches them both with a not very well hidden sulk.
Nick would be feeling bad for Dylan honestly if it wasn’t his own fault that he was in this mess in the first place. That, and it’s hard to feel bad for him when all Nick can pay attention to is the fact that Abi’s all but pressed right up against him right now, her arms now nearly wrapped all the way around his neck to try and catch herself and his own hands having tightened their grip around her waist to try and steady her. Slowly, she turns her face up to look at him and the colour had changed from the light dusting of pink across her cheeks to a dark magenta that almost matched the coloured tips of her hair.
A shade that Nick was very sure matched the one on his face almost exactly.
“I’m sorry!” She squeaks out, hazel eyes wide as she tries to regain her footing. “I didn’t mean to!”
“I-It’s fine,” he stammers out, trying so very fucking hard to ignore the way that he can literally feel her pulse fluttering nervously beneath his palms. “It wasn’t even your fault to begin with. Really, it was just Emma being Emma if anything.”
“Yup!” Even as she nervously laughs it out though, he can’t help but notice how shrill and high pitched her voice is. “Just...just Emma being Emma!”
It only takes another couple of seconds to sort themselves out, but Nick doesn’t let go of her just yet. Doesn’t want to let go of her honestly. Now that they’ve started that dance, even as awkward and stiff as it was, he doesn’t want to stop until the song ends. So instead he swallows and works up the courage to say as much. “Listen, just because Emma was being—well, Emma, I guess—that doesn’t mean we should let her ruin our good time. I—” he takes a breath and readies himself for whatever may happen next “—I’d like to finish this dance if it’s alright with you.”
Abi doesn’t say anything. Staring up into his face with a contemplative furrow of the brows that he recognizes oh so easily as the same one that he sees on her face whenever she’s deep in sketching. He doesn’t know what it is that she finds, but whatever it is it clearly causes a shy smile to break out across her face. A smile wide enough that he can see her dimples starting to deepen at the corners of her mouth, and his breath can’t help but catch at the sight. “Yeah, I’d like that too. I’d like that a lot actually.”
This time when they both start the side-to-side sway from earlier, it looks far less stiff and stilted than before. Abi never bothered to remove her arms from where they had wrapped themselves around his neck and Nick was more than alright with that, hunching his shoulders down just enough so that she doesn’t have to reach very far like before but even that looks less awkward and more natural due to the fact that it means that his forehead is bent over hers. Nick’s hands are still on her waist as well, just holding her and enjoying her warmth beneath his palms, but even those are starting a southern drift until they rest almost naturally on the swell of her hips. Feeling not her soft skin anymore but the rounded studs of metal on her belts, and yet it’s somehow more intimate. They still make sure to keep some distance between them of course, but it's less Jacob-sized now and more like camper-sized, and even then only Daisy likely would be able to fit comfortably as the smallest of them all.
The silence isn’t suffocating anymore either—listening as Marie Fredriksson sings about voices wanting to be heard and the scent of magic—just enjoying the moment more than anything, but then Abi starts to chuckle lightly under her breath. He can’t quite help (and doesn’t want to, honestly) the wry smile that forms at the sound.
“Oh no,” he sighs dramatically, “what is it?”
“It’s nothing. Just surprised is all that you managed to go through this whole night in that outfit without a single pizza sauce stain on it. Was so sure that you’d leave the kitchen looking like you’d been attacked by a pizza monster or something.”
He snorts. “And that’s why I obviously never wore it in the kitchen, you dummy. Nah, I just made sure to shove it away somewhere safe and then changed into this when the pizza and dishes were all done. Was sort of the reason why it took me so long to join the rest of you guys: kitchen duty never rests and all that.”
“Well, I for one think it was worth it. Don’t know what you put in that sauce but that was definitely the best pizza I’ve ever had.”
Nick pretends to groan as though in physical pain at her statement. “If you think that was what a pizza should be like, then I am so sorry for your taste buds. You savage Americans have no idea what a true pizza should taste like.”
Abi looks up at him as though offended, but the twinkle in her eyes is clearly saying otherwise. “Oh, I’m sorry, and you Australians do? At least we don’t put actual eggs on our pizza.”
“Of course not,” he scoffs, thickening his accent just for the hell of it (but mostly because he knows that it will make her laugh), “and that’s because you guys are once again American savages who’ll gladly put something absolutely terrifying like deep fried butter on your pizza instead.”
Just like he had expected, Abi’s caught somewhere in between laughing and pretending to gag at his joke, and the pleasant flips that start in his stomach only spur him on to continue. “But I was talking about Italian pizza actually. Not even we Australians know how to make good pizza either, unfortunately, only Italians can manage that one.”
That alone is worth it if only for Abi’s sudden snort of laughter. “Oh god, that’s right. Totally forgot that you were part pompous, stuck up Italian, and that you came with all the high class opinions on what real food is because of it.”
He gives a mock, disdainful sniff. “Excuse me, but you should be thanking me and my ‘high class, stuck up and pompous’ opinions right now. You should have seen what kind of food Mr. H was keeping stocked in the camp kitchen before I got here. You’d have been stuck eating slop all summer if it wasn’t for me.”
Abi laughs again, and right on time too. Nick can feel his heart doing its usual gymnastic routine in his chest at the bright, ringing sound of her laughter. The laughter that he so rarely gets the chance to be the cause of, so just the fact that he knows for certain that she’s laughing with him (and not at him like he usually fears) means that the kaleidoscope of butterflies that had taken residence in his stomach at the beginning of summer are absolutely fluttering like crazy as well.
He’s so busy centering on the ever pleasant sensations that always seem to fill him when spending time with his crush, that it takes him a moment to realize that Abi had asked him another question. Only noticing after realizing that she had been calling his name for the last few seconds.
“Shit, sorry. What was that?”
Abi sighed, but it wasn’t without a great amount of amusement. “I was just wondering if you were able to speak any Italian as well?”
Nick shrugs. “Well sure. I mean there’s cappuccino, lasagna, spaghetti, pizza, piazza—ow!”
Abi laughed after having stepped on Nick’s foot on purpose—not hard enough to hurt of course, but just firm enough to make him stop. “I’m being serious right now, you dork!”
“All right, all right already. Sheesh, should report you to Mr. H for physical abuse of your fellow coworkers.” The grin on Nick’s face never fades even as he actually answers her question seriously this time. “But yeah, I can say a few phrases and words I guess. Stuff like hello, goodbye, thanks, ‘where's the bathroom?’, ‘go fuck yourself’. You know, simple and basic everyday stuff like that.”
Abi rolled her eyes but it’s clear even to him that she couldn’t help the grin that formed either. “God, should have known that you of all people would have absolutely memorized all the ways you could swear at someone in another language before moving onto hello of all things.”
“Be a pretty terrible Australian if I couldn’t do that now, could I?”
“Wait, doesn’t this mean that you could have just sworn in Italian the whole summer instead? You had a chance to actually keep swearing all summer unlike the rest of us monolingual idiots, but instead you wasted it!”
Nick snorts so hard that it actually sort of hurts a little. “Oh yeah, cause that’s not obvious at all what I’m really doing. And when all the kids start spouting off actual Italian curses every five seconds just to show off, Mr. H totally won’t figure out which one of us started it. The fact that one of the counselors has an actual Italian last name with the known Australian stereotype for swearing to boot, and not to mention has been heard saying random Italian words repeatedly is just a total coincidence.”
“Hmm. Well, maybe one day when you show me what a so-called ‘actual’ pizza should taste like, you can teach me some of those curses for the full immersive experience.”
The song’s finally starting to wind down now, but Nick’s not paying any attention at all to that. Not when he’s experiencing that rare moment of time again, the one where he swears to god that she might actually like him in the same way that he likes her. That maybe—just maybe—she’s been nursing a little crush on him of her very own. Because she just now pretty much came out and said that she would have had no objections to going out and spending some one-on-one time with him. And normally, this would have been a thought he could easily brush off as just seeing what he wanted to see, but not now. Not when camp is ending in just a couple of short days and there’s no time for them to meet up for a pizza and language lesson before they’re separating to different parts of the country again.
And Abi hadn’t said if he’d show her, she’d said when. As though it was a foregone conclusion to her that of course they’d be meeting up again in the future just for a pizza of all things.
Maybe, just letting her know that he likes her even this close to the end of summer wouldn’t be the worst choice in the world.
The song hasn’t stopped yet, still going through its last couple of repetitions of the title, but Nick has. Stopping the dance well beforehand so Abi can look up at him in confusion just as he looks down at her in trepidation.
“Hey,” he starts off nervously, trying very, very hard not to pay attention to how pretty she looks in her outfit under the atmospheric lighting right now, “can...can I talk to you outside?” If he’s going to actually do this, then he wants it to be at least somewhat private, and right now the wrap around deck outside is the best place even if they’d both be able to still easily hear the music playing inside. He’s not expecting anything crazy or inappropriate to happen, but he wants it to be a moment just for them.
Even if it turns out that Nick got this all horribly wrong and she’s just going to shoot him down in the end.
Abi’s eyes widen in her face and he’s really hoping that it’s a mixture of hope and excitement that he can see shining in her eyes and not anything else. “Oh! Um, yeah—”
“Alright Hacketteers! That’s the last song and I think it’s time for you all to get your butts to bed for the night!”
Immediately, all the lights are turned on and Nick is nearly blinded by how bright the lodge is as a loud chorus of groans and whines erupt from the campers. All aimed completely at Chris Hackett who’s standing just outside his office by the light switch.
“Come on Mr. H!”
“Just one more dance Mr. H, please!”
“But we’re not tired yet!”
Chris shakes his head. “No can do, already let you kiddo’s stay up later than I agreed to, and we all got a big day of cleaning ahead of us tomorrow before I send you all back home to your parents.” He turns his head to look at Ryan who had probably all but gladly extradited himself from his dance with Kaitlyn the second that Chris had turned on the lights. “Ry-guy, while I supervise the clean up here I can trust you and Kaitlyn to lead all these wayward souls back to their bunks for the night, right?”
“Yeah, of course Mr. H. You got it.”
Nick looks back down at Abi from where they had frozen in shock, still with their arms around each other in the dance from only seconds before. Hoping to take advantage of the confusion while Ryan tries to herd all of the still grumbling and complaining campers out the door and back to the cabins, he’s crossing his fingers that he’ll be able to sneak outside with Abi without anyone noticing. That no one will notice that they’re missing while they spend a couple of minutes having what Nick is beginning to think was a sorely needed conversation and confession before joining the others again.
He doesn’t even get far enough to take a step backwards, much less towards the door that leads outside.
“Abi, I’ll need you, Emma, and Jacob to start taking down the decorations and then mopping the floors. Nick—” Chris frowns in disapproval “Weren’t you supposed to switch back out with Caleb a while ago?”
Already feeling the ever familiar sensation of shame, Nick can feel whatever courage he had had already slipping out between his fingers as not only all eyes in the room turn to him, but Abi has already vanished from his arms to grab for the garbage bags. Her face is as red as he’s ever seen it. “Uh, sorry sir,” he apologies nervously as he awkwardly makes his way back to the kitchen with his hands shoved tightly in his pockets, “must have lost track of the time I think.”
Except as he walks into the kitchen with his mood somewhere near rock bottom now, he’s pretty sure he lost more than just the time. He’s getting the sinking feeling that he also just lost his very last chance of maybe becoming something more with Abi.
“Are you ok?”
Emily looks up from where she is making a drink, grimacing at the smell of the cheap coffee in the precinct they were in, and she sees JJ is now standing next to her, a concerned look on her face.
They’d been called to New York for a case, a serial killer running rampant in the city. The profile was ready, and she was making herself a drink whilst the team set up and the officers gathered to be briefed.
“Yeah,” she answers, giving JJ a tight smile, “I’m fine.”
JJ raises an eyebrow at her, a half smile taking over her face. “Em, come on.”
Emily sighs as she puts the coffee pot back down. “It’s Alice’s fourth birthday tomorrow,” she says unnecessarily, aware that her friend kept track of such things, that she like had a present for the little girl at home, “and we won’t be back in time for it,” she sighs sadly, “I’ve never missed her birthday before.”
She knew it was luck more than anything that meant she hadn’t missed her daughter’s birthday in previous years. She’d tried to take leave this year and was due to have the day off, but the case was urgent, her work once again taking precedence over anything else. She was grateful that Aaron was at least at home, his promotion into Section Chief simultaneous with hers into Unit Chief when Alice was just less than a year old.
He’d tried to convince her to stay behind, a smile and a joke thrown her way about how she was the Section Cheif’s favourite, that she could do what she wanted. She loved him for it, his attempt to cheer her up, to give her the chance to stay behind, but she couldn’t. They were already watched so closely, and she never wanted any of the other Unit Chiefs to have something to hold over her.
JJ smiles sympathetically at her, placing a hand on Emily’s arm. “I’m sorry, I know it’s hard.”
“Comes with the territory I guess,” Emily replies, taking a sip of her coffee, the burn in her throat easing some of the tension she felt.
“It doesn’t make it any easier though,” JJ says, a knowing look on her face. Emily places her hand over JJ’s on her arm and squeezes.
“No, it doesn’t.” Emily agrees, and her phone rings in her pocket. “I should answer that,” she says, reaching for the phone.
“I’ll go make sure Dave doesn’t piss off any more of the locals.”
Emily chuckles as she grabs her cell. “You’re a lifesaver, JJ.” She looks down at her phone and everything stops.
Dread floods her, her heart dropping to her stomach at Jack’s name appearing on her screen. It was his first phone, the 12-year-old told it was for emergencies only when she and Aaron gave it to him. He was good at following the rules. Accepting his parent's concerns about unlimited access to the internet without argument. Even at his age, he knew they’d seen too much.
She looks at Dave, getting his attention as she points at her phone, indicating she needed to take the call. She leaves the room, letting the team take over presenting the profile. She answers when she’s just far enough away that her conversation won’t be heard.
“Jack, honey, is everything ok?”
“Emily,” he chokes out, his voice tight, a clear attempt to cover his emotions. She can hear Alice crying in the background, the sound twisting her stomach even further, “it’s Dad, he collapsed, I called an ambulance,” he rushes out, his words almost merging into one, “the paramedic said they think it’s a heart attack.”
“Oh my God,” Emily exclaims, her hand covering her mouth, her eyes scrunched closed as she tries to gather herself, “where are you now?”
“On the way to the hospital.”
“Did they say which hospital?” She asks, looking back at the team and getting Dave’s attention, waving him over with her hand, grateful when he walks over with no comment, the rest of the team curious, but continuing on with the profile. She hears a murmuring on the other side of the phone, Jack repeating the question back to the paramedics before he puts the phone back to his ear.
“George Washington.”
“Honey, I’m going to leave as soon as I can, ok? And I’ll meet you there.” She swallows thickly and shakes Dave’s hand off when he places it on her shoulder, sure she would fall apart if anyone was too kind. “How’s your sister?”
“She’s scared,” he says, “she wants to talk to you.”
“Ok, pass her the phone?” She asks, biting the inside of her lip as she hears Jack talking softly to his sister, some shuffling as the phone is passed over.
“Momma?”
It almost breaks her, the devastated sound of her little girl’s voice, but she holds it together, knows her time to be afraid would be after all of this, once Aaron was ok.
“Hi sweet girl,” she replies, hoping her voice sounds more even on the other side of the phone, “are you ok?”
“Daddy fell, wouldn’t wake up.”
She clenches her teeth and this time when Dave reaches out for her, a look on his face that said he at least understood something was very wrong, she doesn’t shake him off. Alice had seen whatever had happened, she’d been there when Aaron collapsed. The thought of it makes bile rise up her throat.
“I know, baby. I’ll be there soon, just make sure you listen to Jack. Don’t let go of his hand, ok?”
“Ok,” she sniffs, “Love you.”
Emily blows out a breath. “Love you too, can you pass the phone back to your brother?”
She hears the phone exchanging hands again, and the steady beeping in the background, a machine no doubt hooked up to her husband as he was transported to hospital.
“Jack,” she replies when the says her name again, “I’m going to leave now, it’s about a four hour drive but hopefully less. I’ll call when I’m close.”
“Ok,” he replies, “Love you, Emily.”
She chokes out a sound, and she doesn’t really know if it’s a sob or a laugh, maybe something in between the two.
“Love you too, honey, keep an eye on your sister.”
After she hangs up she looks at Dave, a sympathetic look on his face that she hates and she chokes out the words, the taste bitter in her mouth.
“Aaron had a heart attack.”
___
The journey is a blur.
Despite Dave’s insistence that someone came with her, she drives back to DC alone. She wasn’t sure she could have taken the entire journey full of platitudes, sure she would have snapped at one of her friends if they’d come along.
When she makes it to the hospital she barely makes sure the car is parked before she climbs out, rushing towards the entrance of the Emergency Room. By the time she makes it to the desk she’s already talking, the nurse sitting behind it not even looking at her when she starts.
“My name is Emily Prentiss, my husband was brought here. My kids-”
“Mommy!”
She turns just in time, Alice running into her legs at full force, her arms wrapped tightly around her. She looks up to see Jack and Jessica walking towards them, the pre-teen with his hands buried deep in his pockets, his eyes fixed on the ground. Emily leans down and picks Alice up, the familiar weight of her little girl in her arms slightly easing the tightness in her chest.
“Hi baby,” she says, kissing the side of her head, not missing the desperate way in which her daughter clings at her, all but trying to crawl under her skin, “Mommy’s here.”
When Jack makes it to her side he wraps his arms around her, and she makes sure Alice is secure on her hip before she puts an arm around him too, holding him as close as she can.
“Hi honey,” she says, leaning down to kiss the top of his head. He was only a few inches shorter than her now, bound to overtake her at some point, she looks up at Jessica and exchanges a tight smile with the other woman, “Jess, thank you so much for staying with them, how…”
She drifts off, having to clear her throat to force the emotion down.
“Jack called,” Jessica answers for her, smiling at her nephew, “I got here only about 20 minutes after they did, a nurse sat with them until then.”
It gives her a sense of relief, knowing her children hadn’t been alone as they waited for her.
“Have there been any updates?” She asks, holding Jack and Alice impossibly closer.
“A doctor came by about 30 minutes ago, said things were looking good,” Jessica says, guiding the family over to some seats, “they should come by again soon.”
Emily nods as she sits down, Jack detaching from her but sticking close by, choosing the seat right next to her. Alice clutches her so tightly Emily has no choice but to place her on her lap, kissing the top of her head again as they settle.
Alice was usually chatty, a trait neither of her parents was sure where it came from. She’d talk to anyone, talk their ear off about anything, but she was quiet, her fists tight in the neckline of Emily’s shirt, her face buried in her neck. She shifts the little girl slightly, just enough to be able to see her face, her own dark eyes shining up at her.
“You ok, sweet girl?”
Alice shrugs, her eyes filling with more tears, before she presses her face back into Emily’s neck, her tears burning against her skin. She looks up at Jessica who smiles sympathetically, her lips set in a firm line. Emily opens her mouth to try again, to do anything to hear her daughter’s voice, but she’s cut off.
“Family of Aaron Hotchner?”
___
She notices the moment he wakes up, his hand tightening ever so slightly around hers. Emily shifts forward on her seat, careful not to wake Alice, the little girl finally asleep in her lap. She squeezes Aaron’s hand in hers, and watches as his eyelashes flutter as he opens his eyes.
“Hey honey,” she says, smiling softly at him as he looks at her, his eyes slightly glazed over, the medication the doctors had given him clearly working.
“Em?” He asks, shaking his head slightly as if it would clear it. “What happened?”
“You had a heart attack,” she replies, “the doctors said you should be ok though.”
He nods, before frowning again, his eyes flitting down to Alice. “The kids?”
She sets her lips in a firm line and shifts her hold on his hand so their fingers link together, pre-empting the way he would inevitably blame himself for what happened.
“They saw it happen,” she squeezes his hand when she sees the grief flash through his eyes, the turmoil settling over his face, making him look somehow more drawn than he already did, “Jack called the ambulance, he went home with Jess a little while ago,” she nods down to the sleeping little girl in her lap, “Allie is a little quieter than usual, I don’t think she understands. When I tried to hand her over to Jess she almost screamed the place down,” she smiles weakly, “thought it was best to keep her with me.”
“God, I’m so sorry.”
She squeezes his hand again, wishing she could hug him, that he could hug her, but this was the best they could do for now.
“You have nothing to apologise for, love,” she replies, lifting their joint hands to press her lips to his knuckles, “nothing at all.” She clears her throat and looks at her watch. “I technically shouldn’t be here, I think the nurse took pity on me because of Alice, said we could stay until you woke up. As soon as they come in here we’ll be kicked out.”
He nods in understanding. “Are you ok?”
She chuckles humourlessly, “As ok as someone who got a call saying their husband had a heart attack can be.”
“Em-”
“I’m just so glad you’re ok,” she says, swallowing to dislodge the lump in her throat, the shake in her voice, “god knows I wouldn’t have been able to pick out a puppy for this one's birthday by myself.”
He smiles at her, a look in his eyes that lets her know he understands what she was doing, that this wasn’t the place for them to have this conversation. They’d spent far too much time sitting by each other’s bedside in hospital, had far too many rushed conversations when they thought it was their last chance to do so. They had a life together now, things were different.
They had time.
“She can have all the puppies she wants after this.” He says in response, and it makes her laugh, a little more tension in her chest easing.
Alice had wanted a puppy almost as long as she could tell them so, one of her first words being “dog.” At first, they had been hesitant, their lives chaotic enough, but Jack made it clear he wanted one too and their minds were made up. A joint decision that they would wait, Alice’s birthday seeming like the perfect time.
“I think we’ll start with the one, Aaron,” she replies, “see what the cat makes of it first.”
She felt Sergio simply wouldn’t care, just like he hadn’t cared when they brought Alice home for the first time. Barely casting the little girl a look until she was old enough to chase him around the house.
“Sounds like a deal.”
___
She sighs as she makes it to the top of the stairs, readjusting Alice on her hip as she does so. Jessica had just headed home, a tight hug and a promise of any help Emily needed left in her wake. Emily pops her head into Jack's room and sees he is fast asleep, she leaves the door slightly open, something she hopes he will take as a sign he can seek her out in the night if he needs to.
She goes into Alice’s room first, settling the half asleep girl onto her bed as she digs out pyjamas for her. She helps her into them, the usual insistence that she could dress herself nowhere to be found. Emily is just about to pull the covers back, tuck her daughter in when Alice grasps at her sleeve, strength Emily wasn’t expecting at this time of night.
“Momma’s bed.”
Emily cups her daughter’s cheek, pushing some stray strands of her wild hair behind her ear.
“You want to come sleep in Mommy and Daddy’s bed?” She asks softly, her voice a whisper in the hope they didn’t wake Jack up in the room next door. Usually, she didn’t encourage this, only letting Alice sneak into their room first thing in the morning, pulling the little girl under the covers with them sometimes the only way to get more sleep on a Sunday. But as Alice nods at her, her eyes shining, Emily knows she can’t deny her anything. “Come on then.”
She picks her up again and carries her to the master bedroom. Emily finds herself tensing slightly at the sight of the room, her husband's things strewn everywhere from where he’d been alone that morning. She settles Alice onto the bed and tells her to get comfortable, and she heads into the bathroom to change. She does a quick version of her nighttime routine, her exhaustion taking over, and climbs into bed alongside her daughter within minutes.
Alice is mostly asleep, snuggled up to her mother, her hand tangled in her pyjama shirt. Emily breathes her in and looks over to her husband’s empty side of the bed. Her eyes focus on the alarm clock he keeps on his nightstand, her eyes welling up as she sees the time, the clock switching to midnight.
She kisses the top of Alice’s head, her fingers trailing through the little girl's hair.
“Happy birthday, sweet girl.”
___
One Month Later
He was a terrible patient.
Emily already knew that was true, anytime he’d been sick over the years evidence enough, somehow worse than their children were.
This, however, was the worse she’d seen him.
At first, he’d seemed happy to follow the doctor's orders. He was slowly introducing his exercise back into his schedule now the cardiologist said it was ok, and he initially was receptive to the recommended dietary changes.
Emily was being as supportive as she could be. Replacing all the coffee with decaf, and donating any processed food they had in the house. She’d even dug out the blender Penelope had got them as a moving in gift when they bought their house, used only once for frozen margaritas before it went to live in the back of the pantry, to make smoothies.
As the weeks passed, he started to become more resistant to it. Never saying anything, but rolling his eyes if she made a comment about something he was eating, or watched as he put salt on his dinner. It made things tense sometimes, but she was working through it, never letting her emotions get the best of her.
Alice was still refusing to sleep in her own room, crying and screaming if they tried to settle her down in there, so afraid that something would happen to one of them. Jack kept a close eye on Aaron whenever they were in the same room, as if he was waiting for him to collapse again. Between holding them all together, Emily hadn’t had time to address her own feeling about it, to recognise how close she had come to losing the love of her life.
She had gone back to work a week ago, grounding herself for now so she was still around if necessary, since Aaron still tired relatively easily. He was due to go back to work in a few days, something that made her nervous, the thought of adding the stress of the FBI back into his life enough to leave her breathless.
She doesn’t say that though, doesn’t tell him that she has nightmares of walking into his office at work to find him unconscious on the floor. She smiles instead, nodding when he suggests having the BAU over for a few drinks before he goes back. She finds herself enjoying the evening, keeping a close eye on what Aaron is drinking, but still laughing at her friend's jokes.
The evening is winding down as she shows JJ and Will out, hugging her friends on the porch as they leave, and she sighs happily as she closes the door behind them. The house felt quiet without the team, only Dave left to go home, and she smiles to herself as she walks through the house to find him and her husband.
The smile fades off of her face as she steps into the backyard, assaulted by the smell of smoke almost immediately. She feels like she’s been kicked in the gut when she sees Aaron and Dave standing there smoking, cigars that Dave always brought out for big occasions. It had happened at her and Aaron’s wedding, given away when her new husband kissed her, the taste on his tongue making her turn her nose up at him.
It happened when Alice was born too. Aaron snuck back into the house after showing the team out, their first time meeting the newest Hotchner, the smell of smoke lingering on his skin. She’d made him shower before he could hold the baby again, her eyebrow raised as she dipped away from a kiss, Alice tiny and secure against her chest.
This was different, instead of an eye roll and mild admonishment she felt anger rising in her chest. All the sadness and grief she had forced down since Jack had called her coming to the forefront, spilling out of her in a way she couldn’t control.
“What the fuck do you think you’re doing?” She asks, and she gains their attention immediately, both looking at her wide-eyed and caught out.
“Em-” Aaron starts, dropping the cigar and putting it out, but she cuts him off.
“Don’t Emily me.” She seethes, her finger raised to point at him, she turns to Dave, her eyes hard as she fixes them on him. “You need to go.”
“Bella-”
“Dave shut the fuck up, and get out of my house.”
He mercifully doesn’t argue with her any further, shooting Aaron a look that could only mean good luck before he puts out his own cigar, walking back through their house. She turns to look back at her husband, who at least had the decency to look regretful, and she swallows thickly, shaking her head at him.
“What is your problem, Aaron?” She asks, not missing how her voice shakes, the anger and sadness inside of her waging a battle to come out on top.
“Emily,” he says calmly, taking a step towards her, stopping when she takes a step back, her arms tight across her chest, “I’m sorry, it was stupid. But it’s just one-”
“It’s not just one cigar though, is it?” She asks shrugging her shoulders at him, her eyes boring into his. “It’s the coffee we both pretend you aren’t drinking even though I quit drinking it too to support you.” She laughs mirthlessly when he looks down at the ground, averting his gaze from hers, “oh yeah Aaron, I found the receipts from Starbucks in your jeans when I did your laundry,” she shakes her head, “at least I know you’d be useless at cheating on me if this is anything to go by.”
His head snaps up at that, his eyebrows knitting together as he scoffs. “Em.”
Any guilt she’d usually feel for the baseless implication is washed away by her other emotions, a mere drop of water in the wave she was being carried by, wiped away like the tear on her cheek.
“I know it’s a lot. I know it’s a big change in everything, but I am trying to keep you alive,” she says, no longer trying to hide her fear, the heartache she had felt for a month. Something that now felt like it was a part of her, of their family, an unwelcome guest in their home. “You nearly died, Aaron,” she points back at the house, knowing Jack would be entertaining Alice somewhere, both of them hopefully none the wiser about what was happening in the backyard, “in front of our kids for fuck sake, and you are acting like that’s nothing.”
For the first time since she’d walked outside, she sees a flash of anger across his face, his jaw tensing as he clenches his teeth.
“Now wait a minute-”
“No,” she cuts him off, “Jack has signed up for a CPR class at school, did you know that?” She asks, and she watches as he shakes his head, frozen to the spot, “and our 4-year-old refuses to sleep in her own bed anymore because she’s so scared about what happened, and I…” she drifts off, her words cut off by a sob, he takes a step towards her and she puts her hand up, stopping him in his tracks, knowing a single touch from him at this point would be her undoing, “and I thought I was going to lose you, Aaron. I drove home all the way from New York mentally planning what my life would look like without you and I hated it.” She swallows thickly, no longer bothering to wipe the tears from her cheeks. “So get your fucking act together, because we need you to care as much as we do.”
She goes to turn, ready to walk away and leave him to it, but she stops herself, her eyes meeting his again.
“I love you, Aaron,” she says, none of the usual joy or lightness in her words, tasting bitter for the first time ever, “and right now, that is hurting me. You are hurting me,” she sees how he recoils, almost as if from a physical blow, and she gets a sick sense of satisfaction from it, “and I am done trying to fix this by myself.”
She turns and walks away without saying anything else, ignoring him shouting her name as she walks into the house.
___
She ignores him when he eventually comes to bed, her back to the door, Alice asleep and snuggled up next to her. She squeezes her eyes shut, pretends to be asleep even though she knows he won’t fall for it. He tries to talk to her once, her name whispered in the darkness of their bedroom, but she doesn’t react. He sighs and kisses her temple as he climbs into bed next to her.
The next morning she leaves early, her chest still aching with everything from the night before. When she gets to work Dave is standing at her office door, his hands in his pockets and regret all over his face, but she storms past him, successfully ignoring him all day unless it was something work related. She was so angry at him still, so furious he hadn’t even thought about it, that she didn’t trust herself not to say something that could put permanent cracks in their friendship.
Aaron texts her throughout the day, and she replies, her anger not making her cruel. She smiles at the photos he sends her of Alice and Jack, the latter pushing his little sister on the swing in the park.
The day does quickly, almost too quickly for her liking, and she finds herself at home before she has been able to plan what she wants to say to him. She blows out a steady breath as she gets out of her car, her briefcase over her shoulder. She’s about to unlock the door when she hears what sounds like barking coming from the inside of the house, followed by Alice’s laughter. She frowns to herself as she opens the door, her suspicions confirmed when she is met with the sight of Alice and Jack on the floor, an excitable white ball of fluff between them that she assumes is a puppy.
“Hi, sweetheart.”
She looks up to see Aaron standing behind the kids, an unsure smile on his face, and what’s clearly a homemade smoothie in his hand.
“Is that…a dog?” She asks, placing her bag down by the door, squatting down by her children, and putting her hand out for the tiny creature, unable to suppress a smile as it licks her before returning its attention to Alice.
“We got him from the rescue centre, Alice picked him out, right sweetie?”
Alice nods enthusiastically, looking up at her mother. “His name is Marshmallow.”
“Marshmallow?” She asks, creasing her brow, looking up at her husband with a disbelieving look.
“She originally wanted to call him Mommy, so let's call this a win,” Aaron remarks, a smirk on his face that she can’t help but briefly return. He clears his throat, tilting his head over his shoulder towards the kitchen. “Shall we talk?”
She nods, kissing the top of Alice’s head before she stands back to her full height, ruffling Jack’s hair as she passes him. “You two be gentle with him ok?”
“Yes, Emily.”
“Ok, Mommy.” They say in unison, not even looking up from the newest addition to the family.
Emily blows out a steady breath as she joins her husband in the kitchen, sighing as she leans against the kitchen counter, her eyes briefly landing on the dirty blender in the sink before she looks back at him.
“A puppy, Aaron? Really?” She asks, crossing her arms over her chest.
“We promised Allie we would get one, now seemed like the right time,” he says, smiling when Alice’s laughter travels out from the living room. “Listen to her, Em. She hasn’t laughed like that in weeks.”
Emily shakes her head and looks down at the floor. “We’re not done talking about you getting a dog without talking to me about it,” she says, and she looks back up at him, a soft smile on her face, “but I know your heart was in the right place.”
He places his glass down and reaches out for her, and unlike the night before she doesn’t flinch away from him, allows him to wrap an arm around her waist, pulling her closer.
“Em, sweetheart, I am so sorry,” he says sincerely. His words instantly, and unexpectedly, make tears spring to her eyes, “you all deserve better than I’ve been acting.”
“Honey,” she says, her hands clasping at the back of his polo shirt, “I know it hasn't been easy for you, and that the loss of control is making you try to find it where you can’t-” she smiles through her tears as he mumbles something about profiling under his breath, “but I need you to take this seriously. We all do.”  Her chin trembles with the force of her emotion, and despite her efforts to suppress it she sobs, leaning forward to bury her face in his chest, “I can’t lose you.”
He holds her tightly, his hand rubbing wide circles on her back as he kisses the top of her head.
“I know, baby,” he says, kissing her head again, “I know. And I am so sorry.”
They stand in their embrace, minutes passing by around them as she calms, her hitching breathes slowing back to normal as he infiltrates every one of her senses. She pulls back eventually, giving him a shaky smile as he wipes tears from her cheeks.
“No more cigars.” She says, her voice shaking, and he nods in response.
“No more cigars,” he agrees, “or secret coffees.” He leans down to kiss her, a silent promise against her lips, and she grimaces when she pulls back, making him laugh. “Those smoothies do taste terrible though.”
“God,” she frowns, “they really do.”
He kisses her cheek, still holding her close. “Dave texted me today,” he says carefully, “says you’re punishing him with the cold shoulder.”
She scoffs. “If he thinks that is his punishment he really doesn’t know me,” she says offhandedly. Aaron looks down at her, a curious look in his eyes. “I may have partnered him with Spencer for the foreseeable.”
“And?”
She frowns at her husband, “And what?”
“That’s not all you’re going to have done love, I’ve never seen you that angry,” he quips, quickly clearing his throat at the way she raises her eyebrow at him, “not that it wasn’t deserved.”
She hums in her throat, “Good recovery,” she deadpans, hoping she has got around explaining anything further to him, groaning when he digs his fingers into her ribs, “I…may have also told Spencer that Dave believes the Earth is flat.”
Aaron bursts out laughing and shakes his head at her. “I love you.”
She smiles in response. “I love you too.”
“Mommy, Daddy, Marshmallow got on the couch!” Alice calls from the living room, her excitement not filtering through to her parents. They both sigh simultaneously and Emily looks at her husband.
“You’re the one who got the dog.” She says, raising a brow at him.
He nods and kisses her one more time before turning and leaving the kitchen.
“Jack, Alice, what was my first rule about the puppy?” He asks, already walking towards the living room.
Emily gives herself a moment alone before she joins the rest of her family, the sense of dread that had settled in their home easing for the first time in weeks.
Things were going to be ok.
The One Second Decision
I meant to write this a couple days ago. I did announce it over twitter but life and plans for the better happened along the way. Found a day when I could sit down and put down a couple of paragraphs to detail my 1 second decision. But what is it? it’s not what you think. I am fully aware about my preferences. Stay here and I'll further explain:
November 2022: on fully working season. Every place at the food industry is blooming with constant pressure and long hours to work. At that moment I was well, eating whatever I could find, going with friends after work for drinks and sightly resting. It took a toll. Some people started to notice something in me that I was not fully aware: I was gaining weight. People’s opinions about me are not relevant, but when more people noticed, it was something to analyze.
By the end of the World Cup, I was invited to shoot a baby shower. Some coworkers were invited. I was extremely exhausted and basically went home and passed out in bed. I had missed calls by 2 girls who were there, wondering where I was. A chance missed. Something could've sparked there but it is what it is.
At the beginning of 2023 a surprise boost at my workplace occurred (from January to March is dead season) but this one was different. I was glad but my mood, physique was getting at a low point. All these months of every day drinking were affecting me that I secretly dealt with a minor depression, not even my friend who I hang out the most knew. One of my coworkers gave birth and she insisted to visit her and I had to decline several times. I later revealed to her the real reason and she understood. it wasn't bullshit, it was some serious stuff.
Reaching 40 made me realize a lot of things. I need to make serious changes, especially body wise. One day after taking a shower I look at the mirror fully naked and realize something: A change must be made. I look disgusting! beer belly, no muscle, weak. On Thursday, March 16 a decision was made and it only took 1 second to make it happen: I embarked into a commitment fully to myself: Improved everything about me, leave behind all sorts of addictions (drinking) and start on a new regimen. I always had dumbbells laying around the house. Bought them a long time ago and used them from time to time but nothing serious. This time, I set the rules. Started with 3 day workout of 40 mins with weights, quit drinking (mostly) meaning I don't drink every day like I used to. Also, change my eating routine. Left aside what my body don't need. Now I see food as fuel.
Ditching those bad habits was as simple as 1,2,3. I must admit, I gotta thank my Military school background for the early mindset I was given back In the early 90′s. That still happens to this day. Discipline is my ultimate drive.
I have made the 3 month mark since I decided to change. It was hard at first, but like my sister told me, It’s better now than later. People stared to notice the change and it’s not accident: the effort I'm putting now, will reflect tomorrow. It’s a long ride, but every step counts. My minor depression went away, I no longer feel sad or anxious about stupid shit, determination for what I want to do shows up every day: I perform better at work, eat right, rest better and an overall change is reflected. 3 months ago, none of that was present. None.
I am also more confident. Clothes that didn’t fit, do now, my waist shrunk and now update in jeans must be made. I feel slim. no more embarrassing beer gut and for the first time, wearing a t-shirt feels natural.
For you reading this and want to make a change for yourself: it’s never too late. We all start at something that’ll later develop into a normal part of your life. Do it for you, not for others. This change I made also risk leaving some people behind, including my 9 year friendship (on that on some other post). It was a hard decision, but it wasn't contributing anymore.
Thanks to a decision not hard to make, I am on the other side of the fence. Focusing on what matters, on what's important: Myself.
Word Count: 2,404 (who do I think I am?)
Warnings: mentions of bullying. mentions of food/eating. george is unknowingly triggering? reader cries. idk? let me know if i missed something.
A/N: part 2? maybe? translations are for romanian via google translate. do not come for me if they are hella wrong.
Translations: draga - darling; dragoste - love; tampit - stupid
     I had never been normal. From the time I was a toddler I had stars in my eyes and dirt on my knees. While the other kids in my grade were playing with dolls and dressing respectably, I was riding imaginary dragons and wearing mismatched socks with dungarees and a butterfly headband. Normalcy evaded me even further when at 11 years old, I got a letter declaring me a witch.
     When I first came to Hogwarts I spent the majority of my time alone. It appeared that even children who could wave a stick around and makes things fly wanted nothing to do with the colorful little girl. Meeting Luna Lovegood in my second year was the best thing that had ever happened to me. Here was a girl who allowed me to be exactly who I was with no judgments. And then she introduced me to Neville Longbottom and Ginny Weasley, and suddenly that little girl who thought her only friends would always be the rocks she painted faces on, had found her people.
     Of course, being friends with Ginny Weasley meant knowing her many brothers. So after graduation when I went off to Romania to work with dragons it made me feel slightly better knowing Charlie Weasley would be there. He quickly took me under his wing and became the older brother figure I had never had. After working together for three years, and electing to stay at the sanctuary for the last two over the holidays, he had finally convinced me to come home with him. I was reluctant to leave the sanctuary - the one place I truly feel safe (despite the massive fire breathing creatures).
     Charlie had warned me that being with one or two of the Weasleys was very different from being with the entire Weasley clan. Obviously I knew Charlie and Ginny, Ron had always been nice to me, and I had met Molly a handful of times in passing. However, Bill was known to be quite intimidating, Percy was supposedly very no-nonsense, and the twins (albeit never cruel) had a reputation of being hell-raisers.
     Apparating to the edge of a marsh with Charlie by my side I could see the rising structure haphazardly balanced slightly ahead.
     Pausing, I glanced at the back of the familiar red covered head, “I don’t know Charles, maybe I should just go back. I really don’t want to be a burden.”
     Charlie very quickly rounded behind me to continue guiding me towards his home, “No, no, no, no, no. No. You’re not a burden to anyone draga. Keep your head up and if any of them give you grief - remind them of the giant, winged beasts you can feed them to.”
     Quickly placing a kiss to the side of my head Charlie bounded ahead again to open the door and announce your arrival. Before I could toe off the first boot to leave next to the dozen other pairs in the entryway, a pair of arms had flung around my neck.
     “Y/N! I missed you so much!”, Ginny pulled back, keeping her grip on my shoulders, to inspect for any major injuries.
     I held onto her elbows, keeping her close, “Hi Gin, I missed you too. A lot. I’m loving this new look by the way.”
     She reached up to brush the now short locks behind her ears. A grin on her face as the two of us looked the other over for the first time in months. Ginny was wrapped in a pretty baby pink sweater with shades of red and white running through it. The material was soft against my palm as I hooked it around her crooked elbow to follow her into the living area.
     “You know”, she started, “I was starting to think maybe Charlie had let you get eaten or burnt to a crisp in the land of dragons. It’s been so long since you’ve come to see me or left the sanctuary.”
     “I’m sorry Ginny. It’s just that after everything, I had to keep myself busy.”
     Ginny’s smile softened into one of understanding. The war had taken a part of all of us. Although Fred had recovered after many months, that fear of almost losing such a vital part of their family had rocked the entire Weasley family to its core.
     “I get it, I do, but I worry about you. I just want you to know you’re not alone Y/N.”
     I pulled the girl into another tight hug, “I know.”
     Ginny pulled away first, clearing her throat, “Okay! Now that’s out of the way - it’s time to introduce the one and only Y/N L/N to the Weasley’s.”
     I hummed, “Hmmm and which of us should be more scared?”
     “Oh definitely the Weasleys.”
 ~~~~~~~~~~~
     Meeting the Weasley family had gone much better than expected.
     Molly had opened her arms and home to me as if I was one of her own children. By the time the night was over she had me stuffed full of warm food and drink and donning my very own coveted Weasley sweater, the lavender initial in the middle marking it as my own. Arthur had been very interested in my muggle parents and upbringing, questioning me about the functions of a rubber duck. Bill and his wife Fleur were the most stunning couple I have ever seen, and not nearly as intimidating as people portrayed them. Fleur was pleased when she found out I spoke a bit of conversational French and promised to have me over to Shell Cottage (apparently they have an amazing collection of wind chimes that I am dying to see). Percy was a bit more refined. Completely polite and friendly but he seemed reserved. Ginny had explained in one of her letters how much guilt Percy carried after the Battle of Hogwarts over how he had behaved in the years leading up to that day.
     The twins were much different than I remembered them being from the few times we were around each other in school. The physical differences were clear - George’s missing ear and Fred’s dragging limp were both signs of the prices they paid in the war. More than that however, they had matured greatly. They were still happy and made sure to pull at least two pranks over the night, poor Molly nearly lost her voice after they blew up the turkey. However, there was something in their eyes that had been dimmed. Especially in George.
     His twin almost died that night, and it reflected in George’s eyes each time he looked at his older brother. It was clear that he was still afraid because whenever Fred left a room George followed, never letting his brother out of his sight, and if he happened to lose track of him a panic began to swirl in his brown orbs.
     I was in the middle of watching as George yet again made his way to Fred’s side, clapping a large hand on his twins shoulder and throwing his head back in laughter.
     “So which one are you staring at dragoste?”, Charlie whispered as he appeared out of nowhere.
     I ignored the burning in my cheeks as I looked away from the scene in front of me.
     “I am not staring at either of them tampit.”
     “Mhmm, sure, absolutely, I believe you.”, after a quick pause he said, “It’s George isn’t it?”
     I turned and scoffed at him, “No!… How did you know?”
     Charlie let out a chuckle, “Because I know you my little dragon. I also know my brother, and just between us, he definitely likes you as well.”
     At this I let out an incredulous laugh and glanced back to where George was now telling a story, his hands moving animatedly. There was no way that George Weasley had even a remote attraction to me. He was kind, strong, clever, and so bloody gorgeous it truly was a privilege to look at him. And I am…me. Nothing special. Just a girl who had more dragon friends than human ones and whose hands were covered in scars and callouses and whose socks never matched and had never even kissed a man before. So no, there was no way that George Weasley would ever like me.
     “Hey. I know that look Y/N. Stop those thoughts right this bloody second.”
     “Charles it really is annoying when you read me like that.”
     Throwing his arm over my shoulder he began to lead me towards the twins, “Yes I know and I am sorry in advance but this needs to be done. Fred!”
     Charlie’s voice had gone from a rushed whisper to a jovial shout when we reached George, Fred, and Ron by the fireplace. George’s smile as he turned to look at us sent a million butterflies off in my tummy.
     “So Freddy, I was hoping you could help me out with a top secret project tomorrow for mum and maybe show me around the joke shop. I heard you added some new displays that I want to check out.”
     “Sure Charlie”, Fred glanced at George as he spoke, “I’m sure we can make some time for our favorite brother.”
     Ignoring Rons protest, Charlie gripped my shoulders and pushed me in front of him, “Actually George I was thinking you could stay here and show Y/N around the area. She mentioned wanting to talk a walk tomorrow and I would hate to disappoint her on her first Christmas out of the sanctuary.”
     “Um-”
     I interrupted the rejection coming from George, “No please, I would hate to be a bother and make you be stuck with me all day. I’m sure Ginny can take me.”
     George smiled and shook his head, “No it’s completely fine Y/N. I would be happy to show you around.”
     “Okay great! It’s settled then!”, Charlie looked rather too pleased with himself and obviously missed the look exchanged by his identical younger brothers.
~~~~~~~~~~
     The next morning the Burrow was a flurry of movement as everyone began their day. Apparently Charlie and Fred weren’t the only ones on their way out. The others still had some last minute gift shopping to do and Ron was spending the day with Hermione’s muggle family. After breakfast, a quick wink from Charlie, and a slam of the front door - George and I were alone in the house.
     The two of us stood facing one another in the living room for a few awkward moments before George spoke, “Well, um, did you want to head out as well?”
     “Oh sure! Yes, let me just grab my boots really quickly.”
     George led me out the door and onto the snow covered path towards the small, iced over river. Nothing was said for a while, the only sound was the crunch of snow under our boots and the occasional sniffle from one of our red noses. I was mentally imagining all the ways I was going to kick Charlie’s ass when he got back for suggesting a walk in the middle of winter when we came to the top of a hill and stopped.
     Everything as far as the eye could see was blanketed in sheets of white. Stomping my boots down into the fresh snow, I couldn’t help the giggle that escaped as the snow gave way underfoot. Feeling a pair of eyes on me I remembered that I wasn’t alone and turned to see George watching me with an unidentifiable look on his face.
     “Sorry, sorry. That was - I don’t know why I did that. I liked the feeling of the crunch of the snow I guess. Sorry.”
     George grinned, “You don’t have to apologize. It was cute.”
     I could feel my face flush at his words. His smile grew even wider at the sight of my heated face. My gaze dropped from his pretty face down to my boots. I could feel the thick socks I had on beginning to grow cold and wet from how long we’d been outside. Looking back up I could see George’s deep eyes glaze over. Assuming it was because he had been apart from Fred so long I glanced out at the view one last time before turning back the way we came.
     “We should probably get back. We’ve been gone a while and my toes are getting wet. I feel bad enough that Charlie forced you to do this anyways without you getting frostbite or something. I’ve had frostbite, it’s not fun. And now I’m rambling. I’m sorry. Sorry”
     George was shaking his head at me and said, “You are so weird.”
     Ouch. My chest tightened and the small smile I had been wearing dropped from my face. If I had been able to see past the tears forming in my eyes that were making my sight blurry, I would have seen George’s face do the same. Unfortunately, all I could focus on was that word. Weird. Strange. Abnormal. Freak.
     Weird weird weird.
     The walk back was silent. A thick tension surrounded you both as thick snow flurries began to swirl down in the midmorning air. Just as thick was the lump forming in my throat as I fought back tears. I know I shouldn’t let his words affect me. He’s just some guy. But deep down I also know that he’s not just some guy. This is George fricking Weasley. With his stupid perfect face and gorgeous eyes and his loyalty to his family. I couldn’t help but be enamored with him from the moment I walked in the Weasley’s front door. So it hurt to hear the man I liked call me that nasty word that has haunted me my entire life.
     When we finally reached the Burrow, George tried to reach for my arm but I pulled away and ran into the house. I could hear that some of the others had returned and really wanted to avoid a confrontation. Once again, luck wasn’t on my side. Charlie came walking out of the kitchen and saw me in the entryway. His face immediately became concerned at the sight of me and he lowered the sandwich he had from his mouth.
     “Draga?”, Charlie’s voice followed me as I finally reached the stairs and launched upstairs.
     As I reached the first landing I heard him speak again, his voice rough and hard.
     “What did you do?”
you’re still a traitor (Hotch x Fem!Reader) — one shot
This is all angst because my brain wanted to write something based off “traitor” by Olivia Rodrigo 🤭🤭🤭
Warnings: angst, mentions of sex, mentions of excessive drinking as a coping mechanism, no happy ending (and no there won’t be a part 2 soz)
Hotch Masterlist || Main Masterlist
Tumblr media
brown guilty eyes and little white lies i played dumb but i always knew
Your relationship with Hotch wasn’t even a real relationship. Not in hindsight, at least. At the heart of it, though, as it was happening, it felt real. It felt more real than anything you had ever experienced.
Nothing was glorified, over-exaggerated, or unnecessary. You’ve always been a straight-to-the-point person, and so has he, so it struck neither of you by surprise when you began spending nights together on cases.
The tension between the two of you had always been high from the day you started at the BAU. He blames it on the skirt you wore to the interview. You blame it on the way he looked you up and down every chance he got.
No wonder he didn’t look surprised to find you on the other side of his hotel room door.
That first night you had said something stupid, something about the girls being lame and going to bed early. But the truth was that they were raiding the minibar, and as much as you wanted to join them, you wanted to see Hotch more.
You knew he didn’t sleep much. It wasn’t hard to conclude, not with his recent divorce, late hours, entire pots of coffee to himself, and dark circles under his eyes.
Not to mention, of course, the small throw pillow and blanket that magically appeared on the couch in his office one day.
You weren’t surprised when he opened the hotel room door, still fully dressed, minus his jacket. You were barely a fourth of a way through your explanation for turning up at his door when he pulled you inside, lips bruising yours and hands gripping your skirt.
To him, it was always the damn skirt.
That night was the first of many. No one knew. No one knows now. Hotch continued to book you a room of your own, and you continued to spend your nights in his bed.
You mastered the art of sneaking to his room after everyone was in, and sneaking back to yours before anyone woke up.
Occasionally, you’d stay back at the BAU until everyone had left, just to spend a moment more with Hotch.
loved you at your worst but that didn’t matter
No one knows this, but you’re the reason his dark circles left. The reason he didn’t stay as late anymore. Because you always coaxed him away, wanting dinner, or even just company as you walked to your car (where you’d then ask for dinner, or rightfully point out that he’s already at the parking garage, so he might as well go home).
Dinner one night turned into almost every night, except when he had Jack. Sleeping in his bed once became almost every night, except when Jack wanted to spend the night.
A label was never spoken about, but you never felt the need to speak about it. As far as you were concerned, you were the only one he was sleeping with and vice versa. Why did a label matter?
That’s what you told yourself, at least. Labels didn’t matter to you. Exclusivity is all that mattered, and you had that. You thought.
You had suspected Hotch started seeing someone else. But all you had was a gut feeling, and a feeling isn’t enough evidence.
i kept quiet so i could keep you
Soon it wasn’t just a feeling. Soon Hotch didn’t want to go to dinner anymore because he was leaving earlier than you — earlier than anyone else. Soon he started actually leaving for lunch on his lunch hour, and that’s when the rumors started swarming.
“Okay,” Garcia ushered everyone over in the bullpen. “Is. Hotch. Dating?”
Rossi chuckled. “I. Don’t. Know.”
Morgan shook his head. “Nah, that sounds like he knows something.”
“Not really,” you shrugged. “Why do we think he’s dating someone?”
“Are you kidding me?” Garcia gasped. “He just left the building on his lunch hour! I’ve never seen him leave for lunch the entire time I’ve been here.”
“Me either,” JJ agreed, to your horror.
“Maybe it’s just something with Jack,” you shrugged again, not even aware of your defensive tone.
Prentiss narrowed her eyes. “Do you know something?”
“What?” You blurted, eyes wide. “No? Am I supposed to?”
“Answering a question with a question,” Reid pointed out lowly.
“Thank you, Captain Obvious,” you said. You grimace, thinking about it now, but you didn’t have any energy then to know it was rude. Or to care.
You were paranoid. Horrified. You were in Hotch’s bed two nights ago, and now he was leaving on his lunch hour, and you had no idea what for. All signs pointed right where the rest of the team was thinking, but the thought made you sick.
So sick that the next night, when you found yourself once again in Hotch’s bed, you brought it up.
You tried to be nonchalant. You don’t know where it went wrong.
ain’t it funny? remember i brought her up and you told me i was paranoid
“How was lunch yesterday?”
His eyebrows furrowed. Something you used to gaze at in awe, but in that moment it made you panic. “Lunch?”
“Yeah,” you murmured. “You left for lunch and the whole team thought something was up.”
He merely hummed. Hummed. That was his reply.
“Emily thought I knew where you went,” you continued, tracing circles on your arm. Normally, you’d trace circles on his chest, but that felt wrong all of the sudden. “I told them I didn’t and they didn’t believe me.”
He chuckled quietly. “I went to lunch. That’s all.”
“With who?” You asked, far too quickly. Maybe that was your mistake. You were too accusatory too fast.
“Did it have to be with someone?” He retaliated, and looking back now, you see this moment here, this was the downfall.
“I mean,” you paused. “You normally stay in your office if you’re eating alone. I figured if you left then you were going to meet someone.”
“Oh.”
You hesitated. “Did you?”
“Yes,” he finally said, ripping the Band-Aid off once and for all. “Her name is Beth. But we’re just friends.”
You nodded. “You sure?”
He turned on his side then, facing you with his head propped on his arm. “Why are you asking?”
“Because I’m curious.”
“You’re never curious.”
“You never leave the office to meet someone for lunch.” Especially not a woman, unless for whatever reason, Haley wants to have lunch and brings Jack, but the last time that happened was seven months ago, back when they were still trying to be friends after the divorce.
“I’m allowed to meet friends for lunch.”
“I didn’t say you weren’t,” you replied, probably too harshly. “I just meant...I don’t know what I meant.”
you gave me your word but that didn’t matter
Weeks passed by and you watched Hotch leave every now and again to have lunch with Beth. He never explicitly told you that it was Beth he was meeting every single time, but you knew. You always knew.
Because the look he’d give you as he’d close his office door, phone in hand no doubt to send a text to her, letting her know he was on his way. The look he’d give you said it all.
You knew the end was coming. Truthfully, you knew the end of the two of you was coming from the first day he met her for lunch.
You had never seen him as happy as he looked when he came back. And with every lunch date, it got worse.
Yet, for some reason, he still invited you over. And for some reason, you still agreed without hesitation.
February came and your heart broke with it.
You knocked on Hotch’s office door, bag in hand, the question of dinner on your hopeful lips.
“Can we talk?” He asked, speaking before you had a second to breathe.
You nodded, stepped inside to your demise, not even bothering to sit down. You knew it wouldn’t take long, and it didn’t.
Two sentences. That’s all it took.
“I don’t think what we’re doing is something I want long-term — for me or for you. I think it’s best if we go our separate ways.”
For me or for you. He was always thinking of your well-being. It always annoyed you.
“Okay,” you had said, cracking a small smile to hide the pain. “Fun while it lasted, right?”
“Right,” he agreed. “Well, have a good night. See you tomorrow.”
You couldn’t hold the tears in and they flowed freely before you were even out of the bullpen. You were thankful everyone had left. Imagine the explanation you would’ve had to conjure up. The web of lies he would’ve forced you to spin in five seconds.
Instead, you had to spin an entirely new web. All to explain why you weren’t sleeping, why you were drinking more, why you looked like you had cried all night the next day (you said it was allergies and insomnia; Morgan was the only skeptical one, but he let it go).
it took you two weeks to go off and date her
The real ending came when Valentine’s Day arrived. You were foolish to think he’d spend it with you, but you still did.
The jet landed back in Virginia after a long case, and you thought for sure Hotch would tap you on the way off of the jet, ask you to dinner, then back to his place, just like you did last year.
But he had made plans. With Beth.
You were delusional to think otherwise, but still, his smile cut right through you when he told Rossi he had plans.
guess you didn’t cheat but you’re still a traitor
Derek, Emily, and Penelope wanted to go out for drinks and you were the first to agree, ready to forget the past year of your life.
Thankfully, you didn’t spill any secrets while drunk. You did confess to going through a breakup, but not with Hotch. No one will ever know it was Hotch. The “he” in question will forever remain a mystery to them.
Meanwhile, you watched Hotch fall deeper and deeper in love. He decided to run a triathlon, and he trained every morning -- with her. He left for lunch almost every day to go eat -- with her. He never stayed late, he always had plans -- with her.
He hardly ever spoke to you anymore. And you never spoke to him.
It became an unspoken agreement for you to leave finished paperwork on his desk without a word (if he was in there) or better yet, to drop it off while he’s at lunch.
You sleep in the hotel room furthest from his every case.
The seats next to him on the jet are off-limits and you’ve even gone to make a shitty cup of shitty coffee before to avoid him (and everyone knows you hate the coffee on the jet).
You somehow managed to never meet or hear about Beth until the triathlon — and you were apparently the only one who hadn’t met her yet.
Jack hugged her immediately that day. He had already warmed up to her and it made you want to claw your heart out.
Beth is nice. Beth is an angel. Beth is older, prettier, everything you knew Hotch wanted and wasn’t getting from you.
She shook your hand with a smile, none the wiser to the fact that you’ve slept with Hotch more times than you can remember. That your heart belongs to him even though you don’t want it to. Even though you want it back.
now you bring her around just to shut me down show her off like she’s a new trophy
Once you met Beth, it seemed like she was everywhere. Visiting the office, bringing Hotch lunch, bringing Jack in to visit, having coffee with Hotch in the cafe you used to frequent, at Rossi’s for family dinner nights. Everywhere.
Worst of all, at JJ and Will’s wedding.
You weren’t the only one to show up without a date, yet you felt like it. Especially when Hotch arrived with Beth on his arm, glowing like always, with Jack holding onto his hand.
You avoided Hotch all night — Beth too, but mostly him — yet he somehow managed to find you alone in the kitchen.
The wine was your saving grace of the night, and he happened to walk in as you were pouring another.
“I can hear your liver screaming from here.”
A poor attempt at a joke, really. Maybe it was funny. But you didn’t laugh. “I’ll survive” was your dry reply before downing half the glass.
His face looked softer, but you know now it was the wine in your system.
“You look good,” he had said. “How are you doing?”
You stared at him. “Fine. Thanks.”
You don’t know why he kept trying to have a conversation with you. You felt insufferable and you see now that you were, but it’s all his fault.
“Do you want to talk about it?”
You chuckled dryly. “Not with you.” You paused. “How’s Beth?” Paused again, this time to bring the wine glass to your lips. “How’s a real relationship working out for you?”
Hotch’s face fell. “What we had was real. You know that.”
“I know it was,” you replied. “But do you? Do you really?”
He didn’t answer. His silence was all you needed.
and i know if you were true there’s no damn way that you could fall in love with somebody that quickly
You left him standing there in the kitchen without another word. You had nothing left to say to him, and he clearly ran out of words for you.
Derek found you halfway to the dance floor.
“Woah, I don’t like that look,” he said, taking the wine from you. “What’s going through that pretty head of yours?”
“Nothing,” you lied. “Let’s dance instead. Come on.”
You drug him away, meeting Penelope and Emily for the next song. You danced, you cried, you blamed the tears on the alcohol in your system. You slow danced with Emily, Derek, Rossi, narrowly avoided Hotch by swinging into Spencer’s fumbling arms.
No one knew. No one would ever know.
you betrayed me
Can we get sequel to goose’s best friend??? That was fantastic
I'll have you all know I had this saved under the working title "Goose's Mom Has Got It Going On"
Goose's Best Friend, Part 2
Part 1
Summary: After finding out your flirty pen-pal was Carol Danvers, you have to see if you can look past your shared past and make it work.
Pairings: Carol Danvers x Reader
Warnings: Language
Word Count: 2,897
Tumblr media
A date with Carol Danvers was dangerous. There were about a million things that could go horribly wrong, all of which you ran over in your head as you walked to the cafe down the street, the blonde in question at your side. Neither of you had spoken a single word since you’d agreed to a coffee date after she’d shown up at your apartment and admitted that she had been the girl you’d been flirting with over the little notes on Goose’s collar.
When she’d first showed up at your door, you’d refused her.
You hated Carol Danvers, right? She was arrogant, self-centred, and an all-around pain in the ass. She was not a joy to be around and that had never, not once, been debatable. Not until that moment when, for some unknown reason, your heart skipped a beat when that too-familiar grin crossed her lips. You’d managed to ignore the feeling, tightening your grip on the doorknob to ready yourself to shut the passage that was open between you.
“Danvers,” you’d said, suppressing the shake in your voice. “Sorry I wasted your time.”
“Wasted my time? What do you mean?”
“We’ve never gotten along much, have we? Who’s to say that should start now?”
You’d tried to shut the door, then, but she’d put her foot in the way. “Coffee. Tomorrow morning.”
Uncertainty was something you thought you’d never see in the eyes of the army pilot. Yet, there she’d stood, gaze cast just past your head at the golden numbers nailed to your apartment door. It was something that made you momentarily forget just who it was. That show of uncertainty was comforting to you. It showed she’d changed. If she could change her attitude for just a moment then, who was to say she couldn’t change her attitude just a little more? You wanted to meet the Carol who had sent you all those notes.
“Tomorrow morning,” you’d agreed. Then you’d shut the door.
Now, here you were, walking into the small cafe at her side. She held the door open for you, an awkward smile tugging at her lips as she did. Your smile was just as forced, and the quiet thank you just as uncomfortable. Neither of you fit into the atmosphere one bit. It was calm, peaceful, and comfortable inside. You were wringing your hands together because you weren’t sure what to do with them, and your gaze was locked to the ground, unsure if you should be looking at Carol or not.
You finally stepped up to the front of the line, eyes travelling over the board quickly. Carol ordered a black coffee, and then her eyes turned to you. You cleared your throat hard before you ordered yourself a drink. When the barista asked suddenly, if it was together or separate, you and Carol both tensed up impossibly more. Her mouth opened and then shut once as she tried to find words. After forty-five seconds of tense silence, you whipped your wallet out.
“Together. Credit.”
You paid for both drinks and then moved to wait for them to be prepared. The entire time you waited, neither you nor Carol spoke a word. Instead, you bathed in the most uncomfortable silence you’d ever felt before in your entire life. Finally, the drinks arrived. You handed Carol hers, and she led you to a table in the corner. You both sat down, the silence reigning until you finally decided to clear your throat and be the first to speak.
“So, you have a cat.”
“Yeah. He’s a good cat. I got him from a friend,” Carol said, before sipping her drink. “Long story.”
You decided not to prod about that. You didn’t know her well enough to. Instead, you only nodded in response. You took to glancing around the room, something that gave you a reason to look away from Carol whilst not seeming awkward about it. There weren’t many other people in the cafe, and you didn’t stare too long at any one of them, lest they think you were being rude. Eventually, your gaze moved back to the blonde across from you.
“So, I guess this was unexpected,” Carol laughed tightly. “Me, I mean.”
“I was surprised. It was… unexpected,” you repeated.
“You don’t sound overly pleased.”
You had to stop and think about that. You’d been avoiding pondering just how you felt about this. When you’d worked up the confidence to ask your anonymous pen-pal to a coffee date, you’d been quite excited. Once you’d found out just who you’d asked on a date, though, your feelings had changed. You were still open to it, even if you were a little more hesitant. It made you nervous. Carol Danvers had never liked you and you’d never liked her. She’d spent every moment you’d ever spent with her teasing and taunting you and you’d never enjoyed it.
“Surprised,” you repeated. “We’ve never much gotten along.”
Carol shrugged. “Well, I wasn’t ecstatic either, you know.”
That was starting to sound a little more like the Carol you knew. Of course she would say something like that. For a second you had to stop and remind yourself of who you were talking to. You took a deep breath, focused on the warm drink in your hands, and then looked back up at the army pilot. She wasn’t looking at you, the comment she’d made obviously not having meant anything to her. That fact almost made you even angrier.
“What’s that supposed to mean?”
Carol only let her gaze flicker to you once before turning it back to whatever she was looking at behind you. “I mean it’s you,” she said nonchalantly. She looked back at you. “But I came anyway. After those notes, how couldn’t I?”
“You came anyway,” you repeated with a scoff. “And that was right after you overlooked the fact that it was me, right?”
Your voice had risen just enough that the table next to you was able to hear your conversation. They may have been trying to be discreet about it, but you know the young couple sitting across each other, hands clasped under the table, were listening in. Every once in a while their eyes would wander to your table, their conversation had dropped, and they were leaning a little closer than necessary. You wanted to give them a rude gesture with your hands, but then again, you wanted to give that same gesture to your date.
Carol rolled her eyes. “That’s not what I meant.”
“Then tell me what you did mean.”
“You’re not exactly my type, you know.”
“And what’s that mean, Danvers? I'm not exciting enough for you? Pardon me for enjoying peace and quiet.” You stood up. “You’re welcome, by the way, for the coffee.”
You stood up and left your half-empty drink on the table, making for the exit. Carol didn’t stop you.
*
You were half tempted to hang up on the woman that was on and on in your ear. You lay back against the arm of the sofa, tucking the cordless phone between your ear and your shoulder. You grabbed the TV remote off the end table beside you and turned the TV on. It was the time of day for your favourite TV show. The sound of the theme song caught the attention of your best friend. She gave a very loud shout of protest, making you scramble for the phone to pull it away from your ear.
“You are not seriously watching TV right now!”
“I am seriously watching TV. Miami Vice is on.”
“You need to go knock on Carol’s door, and-”
You snarled. After the whole incident with the notes on Goose’s collar, you’d been unable to not think about the sweet side of Carol. When you saw her or saw Goose, it’d been all you thought about. But you’d gotten over it. Once more Carol no longer elicited any feelings other than rage. That was how you liked it. There was no want for anything else. In fact, you made sure that Carol no longer took up more than five minutes of your thoughts. You didn’t need to let her rule your life like that.
“I won’t do any such thing. I’d rather date the Wicked Witch of the fucking West.”
“Well, pretty soon that’s going to be your only option left.”
“You should see me right now. I've practically fallen off my seat with laughter,” you said, sarcasm coating your words.
There was a knock at your door before she could answer. You didn’t even tell her as you put the phone down on the coffee table, turned the volume down on the TV, and headed for the front door. You opened it up without checking who it was, and your eyebrows furrowed momentarily when no one was there. When Goose strode into your apartment with confidence, though, you couldn’t help but smile. You shut the door behind him and picked up the phone once more.
“Sorry. I had to get the door,” you muttered, jamming the phone between your ear and your shoulder as you reached for the cat treats.
“Was it Carol?”
“It was not,” you said, rolling your eyes. “It was my new best friend.”
“New best friend?!” She hesitated a moment. “It’s that cat, isn’t it?”
You decided not to dignify that with an answer. You turned to hand Goose one of the treats, only to find that he’d disappeared. You glanced every which way to find him, but the tabby was nowhere in sight. His presence was announced when you heard the shatter from the living room. The red mug that your grandmother had given you for your birthday was in pieces on the floor. You scowled at the cat, but when he glanced up at you with wide eyes, you found you couldn’t stay mad at him. Instead, you grabbed the dustpan and hung up the phone with a quick apology.
As you swept the red pieces of ceramic off the floor, you glance up at Goose. Casually, he licked one of his front paws where he was sat upon the coffee table. You might have looked away, but you noticed the small piece of paper taped around his collar. There was some unidentifiable feeling swirling around in your stomach. You hadn’t talked to Carol since the incident in the cafe. You had half a mind to just leave the paper where it was, but you found, as you dumped the broken mug in the trash and tried to resume watching your show, you couldn’t get your mind off it. Finally, when Goose made to stride past you, you reached out and took it.
For a few long moments, you held it folded in your hands. There was no way there was any sort of apology on the small note. That was not the style of Carol Danvers. Not that you knew, anyway. You turned it over a few more times in your hands before you finally unfolded it, still hesitating before you read it. Goose was watching you as if he were interested to see what your expression might be. You glanced down at the untidy scrawl that belonged to your least-favourite neighbour.
Can we talk?
You wanted to write out a simple no as a reply. She didn’t deserve that, did she? Not when you’d already given her a chance after she’d been nothing but terrible to you for well over a year. You crumpled the note and threw it across the room, watching it fall on the floor beside the TV. With nothing more than a simple grumble, you reached for the TV remote, turning up the volume, sitting back, and putting all of your attention into the show in front of you.
*
The sun streaming through the window of your bedroom was blinding. You’d been too distracted to remember to close the curtains the night before, so it was unobstructed as it was amplified by the glass pane in your window and shone into your eyes. With a hand raised to protect your eyes, you glanced over at the digital clock that was sat on your nightstand. You’d slept in. That fact didn’t surprise you much. You hadn’t slept much.
Only when you let your head fall back against the pillows once more, eyes squeezed shut to protect them from the bright light, did you realize the second presence you could feel in your room. You couldn’t help but smile to yourself, a little surprised that it was still present. You reached out with your left arm, using it to feel around the bed to find them. It didn’t take long, the other body being well within your reach. Your hand made contact so that you were both awake.
“You’re still here,” you mumbled, stretching as you turned your head to meet open eyes. “I thought you’d be gone by now.”
Of course, Goose didn’t answer.
He’d been your companion the night before when you’d been tossing and turning, unable to get your brain to stop thinking about Carol’s note that was still crumpled into a small ball on the floor in your living room. He’d sat by your side and let you stroke the fur on his head as your mind raced, your own thoughts not letting you get a good night’s sleep. Eventually, he’d even curled up next to you on your bed, a strong sense of comfort coming from the action. You ran a hand over his head.
“Thanks, Buddy.”
He mewed in response.
You decided it was well time to get up, so you rolled off the bed. The first thing you did was jump in the shower, letting the hot water wash away some of the stress from the night before. When you emerged in sweat pants and a t-shirt, Goose was still on the bed. You waved for him to follow you into the kitchen. You started the coffee maker and went to the fridge to grab the creamer. There was none left. You groaned, the noise drowned out by Goose’s loud cry from behind you. He was sitting by the empty bag of treats.
“Yeah, me too,” you grumbled. “Wait here. I’ll go get more.”
So, you grabbed your keys, slid your feet into your shoes, and headed out the front door. You weren’t expected for Carol to be there, hand raised as if she’d been preparing to knock on the door. For a brief moment, she glanced behind you to take a look at Goose on the kitchen counter. Her gaze moved back to you. You were still a little shocked, not having been prepared for the early-morning (or, technically, early-afternoon) encounter outside your door.
“He stayed the night?” She asked.
“Mhm.”
It was a stupid response, and you cursed yourself for it right away. She didn’t seem to think twice of it. Her eyes were searching your face carefully. You didn’t know what she was looking for, but you were forcing yourself from blushing bright red. Judging by the absence of her usual smirk, she didn’t know that. You shut the door behind you, stepping around Carol to remove yourself from the closeness you’d been forced into.
“I was just going to get some coffee creamer. Did you want him back?” You said, shoving the keys into your pocket.
“No,” she said, twisting her fingers together. “I was looking for you.”
“Oh,” was all you said. “Why?”
“I wanted to talk.”
You could’ve slammed your palm into your forehead. Of course that’s why she was looking for you. She’d actually told you that she’d wanted to talk. You shouldn’t have been surprised that she’d sought you out to do just that. You supposed that’s what you got for not giving her a response. You nodded, finally, and leaned against the wall behind you, arms crossed over your chest. It was a posture that made you look closed off, and that was exactly what you wanted.
“I’m sorry for what I said the other day,” she began slowly. “And I’m sorry for the way I’ve treated you since I’ve lived here.”
Maybe you’d been mistaken. Maybe she did know how to apologize.
“Thanks,” you said with a nod. “I’m sorry I stormed out.”
“I was just… I was hoping you’d give me another chance. Maybe lunch this time. On me.”
You sighed. “How many chances do you think you deserve, Carol?”
You’d meant to ask the question with anger. It had been intended as something rhetorical. What it came out as, though, was hurt and broken. At some point, it had become a sincere question. With eyes just as sincere, though, Carol took one single step closer.
“I just need one more.”
You hesitated. She’d hurt you. She was dangerous. But she didn’t want much. Just one more chance. You wanted to give it to her. You wanted to let her try and prove herself. That’s what your heart wanted. Your head was powerful, though, and rejected the feelings of your heart. It was screaming something different.
It was only one more chance, but you had to decide if she deserved it.
“Why don’t you start by walking with me to the store?” You offered.
Carol nodded. “I can do that.”
And, just maybe, that was the start of one more chance.
Wednesday quickly arrived, made much faster by the crazy amount of work you were required to do for your ‘actual’ job. The last three days had been spent with you running around the LA area, as well as cyberspace, to serve your role as interpreter. It was hell, for more reasons than one. The biggest of all being that even though you were not in Japan at the moment, you were still required to wear a proper suit. That meant a tight navy skirt, stockings, and some blasted heels. Sexist men, long meetings, and endless paperwork aside, you enjoyed your job for the most part - but this aspect really wore on you. However, the pain in your feet wouldn't damper your excitement for tonight’s game. Today you were not actually volunteering at the Angels stadium.
The day before yesterday, when you were actually volunteering, a bashful Ohtani had tapped you on the back while you were picking up baseballs from the batting cages. When you turned around the giant man was holding out a lanyard with an attached document, marked ‘VIP Guest of Player’. It took all you had not to let your hands shake with nerves as you reached out and grabbed it gingerly.
“Uh, see you on Wednesday.” The man looked to the side awkwardly, running a hand through his hair.
“...Yeah.” You responded with a small smile, feeling stupid, but it was all you could think of.
“Well, uh, I better go...” He motioned behind his back with a lazy thumb, staring to jog backward.
You nodded quickly, rushing to go back to picking up balls before you said something super lame, or weird.
It wasn’t till you were on the way home did you take a look at the back of the stadium pass. It read ‘Guest of Shohei Ohtani’. So he had put in the request for you, that was just like him, so kind. It would be an understatement to say you weren’t excited for tomorrow.
-----
Currently, your heart was still racing, but for another reason other than a certain super cute and insanely talented baseball player. It was because it was almost three-thirty in the afternoon and you were running around your company-provided apartment, trying to get ready as fast as you could. Ippei let you know you should get there around four-thirty, by then the team would have been done warming up and starting to enjoy a pregame meal while the away team got the field to themselves. From that point onwards, pretty much everyone was free to relax in the clubhouse till just before the first pitch.
With little time to consider, not even enough time to take a shower after having just got off work, you went with an oversized red T-shirt, baggy jeans, and some cool Jordan’s. This was your go-to, and it was comfortable. You don’t have many clothes anyway, living out of a suitcase.
Right as you were about to run out of the door you remembered to grab your standard Angels cap, it had been provided to you as part of your volunteer uniform a while back, slipping it on over your tight work bun. You would let your hair down later.
All right, everything was in order, Uber scheduled, lanyard secured.
It took about half an hour to arrive at the stadium, and once it came into view, you instructed the driver to let you out in front of the ballpark entrance. It had been a long time since you got to go through the gates as a member of the audience, it actually gave you a wave of nostalgia seeing everyone in their gear, so hyped up for the game, tailing gating outside for what was probably hours.
Once you were through, you started walking through the concession stands and various other stalls, dodging around the fans that were already inside watching the warm-ups, as well as hanging out drinking and eating. There were pictures of Ohtani everywhere, people taking turns snapping pictures of each other in front of the various cutouts of him. The air was buzzing with energy, and it seemed like all for that guy. Honestly, you had worked for a couple different teams over the years, but you had never seen hype like this. It was surreal, seeing a legend in the making.
You smiled, gripping the lanyard around your neck, making your way through the stadium. Shohei was super nice to do this for you, really, you should show him your support. Maybe a quick peek in the team store would do? Plus, you deserved to spend some money on yourself. After all, this was the first time you had really been ‘out’ in the almost three months you had been in California. Your free time was either working, volunteering, video games, or sleep.
You took a couple moments in the Angel's merch shop, quietly perusing the aisles, keeping an eye out for any Ohtani-themed items. Unfortunately, there weren’t really that many, probably sold out by the fans. What was there, was way too small for you.
“Y/n, you here to watch the game?” A young voice sounded.
When you turned to see who addressed you, a familiar girl was standing there grinning.
“Hey Jordan! I didn’t know you were working tonight.” You grinned back.
Jordan worked at the store as a stock manager, she was close in age to you so the two of you often hung out. You had invited her over a couple times, both bonding over your love for crappy reality TV, beer, and of course, baseball.
“Yeah it was last minute, a girl was feeling sick and there wasn’t anyone else cept’ me.” She sighed.
“Bummer, text me if you need help?” You offered, to which she waved you off.
“Nah, you enjoy being here and NOT working.” She chuckled, walking over to organize a messy shelf.
“So, you looking for something in particular?” The girl glanced over her shoulder.
“Uh yeah, you recommend any cool Ohtani stuff? Or is there any at all... seems wiped clean in here.” You said while looking around.
“Ohtani? You here to cheer him on too then. Wanna catch his eye.” She teased.
“Don’t say it like I’m just here for my like, prince charming. You snapped back playfully, but, maybe a little too fast.
“Aren’t you?” She pressed with an eyebrow.
“Okay, I’m leaving.” You pouted, fake walking away.
“I’m just kidding, actually, stay here for a second I might have something you’ll like.” Jordan yelled as she jogged off to the back room behind the counters.
You did as you were told and when she came back there was a large white Angels jersey in her hands.
“Ta-da!” She grinned, twisting it around to show the player’s name on the back.
“Oh, it’s in Kanji? That’s cool, I didn’t know these existed?” You questioned, running your finger over the ‘tani’ character of Ohtani.
“It’s the last one on the floor, had to grab it off the mannequin. Hope it’s not too big? It’s XL?” She questioned, passing it to you to hold.
“Nah it’s perfect, can’t you tell.” You joked holding the jersey next to you, while you showed off your oversized clothes.
“Figured it'd be fine, wanna get rung up? I’ll give you that ‘good good’ employee discount. But, don’t tell anyone.” She smiled, heading to the register, to which you nodded and jogged after her.
After you finished your purchase and waved bye to Jordan, it was time to head to the clubhouse. It was around five, so you were later than you planned but Shohei usually practiced batting in the cages a little while longer while everyone headed in. Slipping the plastic shopping bag into your purse, and ripping the tags off your new jersey, you slipped it on over your T-shirt, smoothing out the material as best you could. It felt great to finally have some real merch from the team, and part of you sort of wondered what Ohtani would think when he saw you. Hopefully, it wasn’t too much to just show up in his gear after he pretty much randomly invited you, let alone in the stadium-specific one, as you just learned from your colleague.
After you got to an employee-only doorway, you pushed on it hoping it was actually open. Ippei had also let you know via text that it would be unlocked for you. Another kindness of Shohei, not just inviting you, but making sure you had access to all the catering and AC inside the resisted area of the building. You slipped in and locked the door behind you, not wanting to encourage some intoxicated fans to follow. The hallway was empty and cool as you started making your way to the clubhouse.
You were admittedly a bit nervous by the time you got to the doors, feeling a bit awkward about strutting in as anyone other than a volunteer for the first time. Carefully you pushed open the door, making sure not to hit anybody. The room was full of chatter, some players eating, some playing cards, others watching TV on the room's monitors. You looked around for Ohtani, but he wasn’t there yet apparently. No matter, you strolled in and went for the snack area. Truthfully you hadn’t eaten since that morning, and that was just a toasted bagel. Turning your back to the rest of the room, you began filling up your plate with cocktail shrimp and grapes.
“Nice jersey.” Ippei said, coming up next to you, grabbing small sandwiches for his plate.
“Is that sarcastic?” You questioned with a smile, finishing your plate.
“Nah, I’m sure he likes it.” Ippei jerked his head to the left.
He? You leaned back to see around the man, meeting Shohei’s surprised face almost immediately. Had he been standing there the whole time? He had obviously been staring at your back, at his name, bashfully looking up to your face when you moved, blinking a couple times to clear his eyes.
“I uh, got it ten minutes ago.” You grinned awkwardly, pointing your thumb proudly at the jersey, hoping he wouldn’t think you were a weirdo.
The large player didn’t say anything, blinking more slowly this time before opting to just nod gently, with a quick “thanks for your support”, hurriedly leaning forward to start filling his plate with all kinds of foods.
—-
Once everyone had their food the three of you found a place to sit while you ate, it was at the back of the room away from the noise, and where the two usually sat before a game anyways. A small conversation started while the three of you ate calmly.
“Why... do you only have grapes, and shrimp?” Ohtani questioned suddenly, looking at your plate baffled. You looked down at it as well, pausing for a moment trying to find out what was so weird about that.
“Uh, well, it’s because... these things are... super expensive in Tokyo. It’s like a rich person food to me.” You smiled, eating a couple shrimps happily.
“Wow. That’s so sad.” Ippei chuckled before taking a bite of his sandwich.
Shohei on the other hand burst out laughing at your response, making you laugh a bit too at your pitiful confession.
“Seriously, I feel like a mega-rich, and very posh, Ginza lady right now - eating nothing but shrimp and fruit. So fancy right? ” You exclaimed, popping a grape in your mouth.
The Japanese player laughed even harder, tears building up as he wiped his eyes.
“Those people wouldn’t touch that stuff with a three-meter stick.” Ippei stated, letting out a small laugh.
“Just let me have my moment.” You pouted through a smile, shoving more shrimp in your mouth.
The other man calmed down finally and was now sitting there smiling while he ate.
“So, fancy y/n, are you okay to sit in the dugout tonight. Not too unrefined for you?” Ippei questioned with a smirk.
“That’s, allowed?” You asked, surprised.
“Yeah, if you want to. Can’t stay there the whole time, but.” The man responded nonchalantly, shrugging his shoulders.
“It’s the best place to hear, ‘the surprise’.” Shohei added, food in the process of being shoved in his mouth.
“Well, doesn’t seem like there’s any other option.” You smiled at the player, who nodded in acknowledgment.
“He’s batting first tonight, you won’t have to wait long.” Ippei spoke, starting on the next sandwich.
“Hope me being in there won’t be bad luck.” You joked.
“You believe in that?” Ippei smirked.
“My family ingrained it into me, wasn’t allowed to watch a single super bowl game in the living room till I literally moved out.” You frowned, stabbing a grape.
“Harsh.” The man smirked with a small laugh under his breath.
“You will be good luck, for sure.” Shohei leaned forward in a hunch to take another bite of food, smiling sincerely at you as he looked up from his food.
“Then, I will see to it that will become a very good omen. Please believe in me.” You responded in the highest form of keigo you knew, bowing rigidly from your seat for comedic effect. Since you never studied that level of grammar, it was really freaking bad, causing the two men to laugh again.
“You’re funny.” Ippei chuckled.
“Yeah, and your Japanese is so good though?” Shohei exclaimed, eyebrows raised, eyes wide.
“Nah it’s pretty bad, I fell off the study wagon a long time ago.” You laughed awkwardly, waving a hand in front of your face.
“You’d be there forever if you stayed on.” Ippei chuckled again, while Shohei nodded in sullen agreement.
“Writing would be nice though, having to look up every other kanji at the doctor's office, or like city hall makes me literally sweat, like, a lot. Buckets. But when I look around, I'm the only one.” You giggled.
“You’re so honest.” Shohei chuckled, wiping his mouth with a napkin, still leaning forward in his chair, you grinned back at him. Your eyes locked for a while, you had never noticed, but his eyelashes were sort of long.
At that moment Ippei had to take a call, letting the two of you know he’d be back in a bit, walking off. The two of you looked away and finished eating in silence.
When you looked up from your empty plate, the large player was now staring at you with a soft expression. The warmth in his eyes made you blush, he didn’t even break his gaze once he was caught like he usually did. You responded back to him simply with a shy smile, before being the one to avert your own eyes to the floor again.
Thankfully at that moment, a group of Angels came over, slapping the Japanese man on the back, starting up a conversion. They were going over strategies for the game and overall just getting hyped up. You didn’t have much to input, so you just kind of sat there enjoying the excited chatter. Shohei smiled merrily the whole time, inserting little jokes, completely affected by their excitement. The way he carried himself really reminded you that the essence of baseball was really just about having fun with your teammates and giving it your all. He looked simply happy to be there, and it made you smile too, just watching him goof off. It was charming to see his duality of being a just big kid with endless laugher, versus the super-serious, and seasoned player he was on the mound.
You were really trying hard not to but, you were rapidly developing feelings for Shohei. The last three months of volunteering here, you of course thought he was really cute and kind, classic boyfriend material. A simple crush, like many of the girls working around him, surely had as well. However the possibility of you two actually dating had always been a foreign concept, one which stopped you from even considering it, at all, you just didn’t know if you even could. With you both traveling for work, how would there be time? Plus, what about the media? His family? Yours? All those things seemed unscalable walls, that is, until this moment, when you could feel his gentle eyes on you once again.
Maybe, there was something? Or maybe, he was just a super nice guy, and you were treated no different than anyone else.
When you snapped out of your thoughts, Shohei was starting to stand up, grabbing everyone’s empties plates. He reached his hand towards you, asking for the one in your hand with a tiny nod of his head, to which you thanked him, stood up, and handed it over.
Well.
Either way, you were so screwed.
Hope you enjoyed! <3
Little One pt.2
I am telling you guys right there is to be a LOTTTT more smut within this series. This is only the beginning. Hope you all enjoy part 2 as much as part 1 !
Paring- OT7 x Reader (poly)
Summary- Through your husbands line of work they take a week or more off to spend some time with their wife.
—————————————————————
Arriving at Celeste you were in awe at how many people were always here. Not wanting to brag but your club was by far the best at bringing in not only money but also people. You knew what people wanted. The feeling of letting go with a hint of sexual tension and endless booze. You all went up to your usual spot. Right in the middle up top so you had a view of the whole place.
“Y/N,” said your favorite waitress Cleo.
“Lo! So good to see you.” You said hugging her. “How’s everything?”
“Everything is actually amazing. Tonight has been nothing but smooth.” She smiled.
“I meant with you silly.” You nudge her arm. “How’s baby girl?”
“Of course!” she giggled. “She’s amazing, finally almost ready for school. I may just cry.”
“Well don’t, you may make me cry.” You smiled, rubbing her arm.
“The usual I presume?” She asked.
“Boys?” You looked at your husbands.
A round of yes’ and sures were heard.
You laughed.
“Yes and get something for yourself as well!” You pointed after her.
She nodded.
“You are just too nice.” Namjoon said, pulling you into his lap.
“She’s an amazing worker and mother.” You smiled. “I think I’ll keep her around.”
He nodded.
Once the drinks were brought you downed a few shots to start.
“You better behave tonight.” Yoongi said.
“Whatever do you mean?” You smirked at him grabbing another shot.
“You know exactly what he means.” Taehyung said from beside him.
You giggle at the memory of you fighting off some drunk guys who started a fight with Chi. You were buzzed but boy did you impress your boys, not a scratch left on you. That was a night to remember.
“I’m gonna go dance.” You said practically bouncing in Joon’s lap at the beat of the music. “Anyone wanna join me?”
“I’ll meet you in a few minutes.” Kookie said.
You smiled, shaking your ass as you headed for the dance floor. You found your girls at the edge of the dance floor talking with Cleo.
“Ladies.” You said hugging Chi from behind.
“Someone’s on one.” Said Skye laughing.
“I’ve had a few shots. I feel amazing.” You smiled, running your hands down your body.
They all giggled.
You removed your blazer leaving you in your dress as you didn’t wanna get warm.
“Shall we?” You said pulling them to the floor.
They all yelled in excitement.
Fever by ENHYPEN started playing and you all were grinding on each other. You were in your element. From above your boys watched you. They were in awe of you.
“You gotta see her. She looks hot.” Hobi said.
“That dress.” Jimin said. “I had no idea it was backless.” He bit his lip.
“She’s playing with fire tonight.” Yoongi said.
“This is gonna be a LONGGGGG week for her.” Tae said, smirking.
“Look at her grinding on them.” Joon said. “She knows what she does to us.”
“I’m going down.” Kook said.
They all nodded, eyes still on you.
Letting the music take you, you felt a pair of familiar hands on your body.
“Nice of you to join me.” You smirked, grinding into him.
“You looked too good, I had too.” He held your hips in place.
You hummed, throwing your head back into him.
“Beside,” he began “the show you put on with Chi and Skye, you were killing us.”
“You enjoyed it?” You turned to face him.
“Baby I am so close to taking you right now.” He said. “So what do you think?”
You turned back around grinding hard into him.
His grip on you tightened.
“Don’t start this little one if you know what’s good for you.” He growled into your ear.
“But I like it, baby.” You pouted. “Don’t you?”
You stepped away from him, hands running on your body as you moved your body to the beat of the song.
“Let’s get a drink kitty,” Chi said, pulling you from Kookie.
“Bye baby.” You smiled leaving him on the dance floor.
He shook his head before making his way back upstairs.
“She will be the death of me.” He said plopping down next to V.
“She’s trouble that one.” Yoongi said, sipping his drink.
“Girl you are so gonna get it when you get home.” Chi said.
“Ugh you are so lucky.” Skye said.
“All that dick and they're good looking? I’d be prancing around like that too.” Chi said.
You giggled.
“They treat me like royalty, I wouldn’t have it any other way.” You smiled while sipping your drink. “Besides, they liked the show we put on for them.” You smirked.
“Oh really now?” Chi said.
“Maybe we should take it up a notch.” Skye said.
You knew exactly what they meant.
“Let me find the perfect song.” You smirked walking away.
Sacrifice by Black Atlass ft. Jessie Reyes began playing. You knew what this song did to them, especially if it involved you.
Taking your girls to the middle. You all started off solo before moving in together. Chi in the front, you in the middle and Skye behind you. The boys were watching you like hawks. They knew you had your way with women but boy did it rile them up seeing you like this in the middle of them. Both of them kissing on you as you grabbed Chi's ass pulling her closer. This was nothing new between you three. You had your few share of moments between each other but it never meant anything and never ruined your friendship over it. You knew what you were doing and you were pleased to look up and see them all staring, you blew them a kiss before going back to dancing as the song was coming to an end. Making your way back up top, all eyes were on you.
“You,” V began. “Will be the death of me.”
“Did you enjoy the show, my love?” You bit your bottom lip.
“I should take you here right now,” Hoseok growled. “Let everyone know what a naughty slut you’ve been.” He bit your neck. Earning a moan.
“Shall we head home then?” You put a finger under his chin.
“Let’s go.” Yoongi said, pulling you away.
Walking through the club to leave the girls spotted you being rushed away. They giggled. They knew what kinda night was underway for you.
“Don’t break her!!” Skye yelled.
“We have a retreat after your vacation. She’s gotta be there.” Chi added.
You laughed at them waving bye.
Getting into the limo you were placed on Jimin’s lap.
“You were naughty tonight.” He whispered in your ear making you squirm.
“Do you know the things we wanna do to you?” Hoseok said into your other ear.
“I wasn’t that bad daddy.” You moaned out as Jimin began doing circles on your nipple. Hoseok pulled your dress up, exposing you. The cool air hitting you made you moan.
“No bra or panties?” Yoongi said. “It’s like you wanted a punishment.”
“But look at how wet I am for you daddy.” You whined out at them.
They groaned, they loved you in this state. All turned on and willing to do anything for them.
“Touch me baby.” You whined at Jimin who was running his finger on your thigh getting very close to your heat.
“Not here princess, we’re almost home.” He whispered.
You let out a whine.
“Keep it up little one or you won’t be getting any dick tonight.” Jin said sternly.
You instantly shut up.
“That’s a good girl.” Namjoon said.
Once home they all hurried inside, Jimin holding your waist kissing on your neck as you walked in the house.
Once inside he pushed you into the door leaving a trail of wet kisses on you.
“Tonight Jimin and Hobi have their way with you.” Jin said. Earning a whine from Jungkook.
“It’s okay Kookie, you can have a taste tomorrow.” You said biting your lip.
“You’re in for princess.” Hoseok said, putting you over his shoulder.
He entered the play room (Red Room if you will) placing you on your feet.
“That was fun.” You giggled.
“It’ll be more fun once these clothes are gone.” Jimin said.
“Strip baby.” Hobi ordered.
You pulled the straps down your arms before letting the dress slip to your feet leaving you in your heels. They both looked at you in awe. The curviness of your body drives them crazy. You bent down to undo your heels when they stopped you.
“Leave them princess.” Hoseok said.
You stood back up.
“Aren’t you both a little too dressed.” You crossed your arms.
They began undressing, your eyes practically ready to fall out at the sight of them. You were ready for them.
They saw you staring, Jimin beckoned you with his finger to come to them. You instantly got on all fours and crawled. Once in front of them you were eye level with their cocks. You reached out for them only to be swatted away.
“Bed. Now.” Hoseok ordered.
You got onto bed waiting on your back. The quietness of the room only made you more anxious. You were about to speak when you felt a mouth on you, making you cry out. You grabbed onto what you could that thing being Jimin’s head. The things he was doing to you were incredible.
“Jimin.” You moaned out. “More..please.”
“You want more baby?” He said in between licks.
He soon entered a finger making you moan loud. You felt the bed dip, looking over you were met you Hobi’s dick.
“Open little one.” He said.
You opened eager to taste him. He entered with ease , starting off with a slow pace before ducking your throat. You were in heaven.
“I’m gonna add a second, okay baby?” He asked.
You moaned out against Hoseok's dick as a second finger entered you. The vibrations from you caused Hobi to groan, almost bottoming out.
“I-I’m close.” you moaned.
“No you’re not.” Jimin said, removing his fingers.
You whined at the loss of contact.
“Don’t be a brat Y/n.” Hoseok growled. “Ass up.”
You got up quick.
“That's a good girl.” Jimin said coming up behind you.
He began running his tip against your opening.
“I-I need you..now.” you moaned out. “Stop teasing.”
“Why should I?” He began. “You’ve done nothing but tease us all night.”
“But you enjoyed it.” You giggled.
Jimin slapped you on the ass. You moaned loud.
He entered you slowly, letting you adjust to his size. The amount of times you have had them all in you and yet you still couldn’t handle it.
You cried out gripping the sheets as he entered you fully.
“Move baby.” You said.
He began slow, building up a steady pace. You were a morning mess.
“You like when hyung fills you up?” Hoseok said watching Jimin fuck you.
You cried out.
“Answer him.” Jimin said earning a slap to your ass.
“Yes Hobi,” you moaned out.
“What was that?” He said getting close to you.
“Yes daddy.” You mewled out.
“Good girl, look at you taking his cock.” He cooed.
“I’m gonna cum.” Jimin moaned.
“Cum baby.” You yelled out. “Give it to me.”
A few more strokes and he bottomed out. You collapsed, laying on your stomach for a few seconds before Hoseok flipped you over.
“Get ready baby.” He smirked.
Sex with Hoseok was something else, he was always tying you up and doing everything in his power to please you.
“We’re not going all out tonight.” He said entering you. “ I’m not going to last very long.”
You cried out as he began a brutal pace. He knew exactly what to do to get you to cum. You could feel the knot beginning to form in you, you were close.
“I’m close Hoseok.” You moaned.
“Me too baby,” he said almost out of breath. “Just hold out for a bit, ok?”
You nodded trying your hardest, you ended up clenching around him making him lose focus.
“Cum for me princess,” he said.
You cried out as you released on him. He came soon after. You were out of breath, you couldn’t wait for what the next few days brought you. They took notice of your state and knew you were to pass out soon,
“Let’s clean up baby and then you can head to bed.” Jimin said already working to clean you up.
After cleaning up they placed you in your bed, both getting in on either side of you. Both wrapped their arms around you making you feel safe, you soon began to drift off to sleep.
“You know...It’s better to show yourselves than rather hide from me Fushiguro, Kugisaki,” you firmly mentioned before slowly turning your head to the side, quickly noticing the tense nature of the two classmates hiding behind a tree and some bushes before they hesitantly made their way out of their hiding place causing them to reveal themselves and to discover a nonchalant look displayed on your face.
‘Like what the hell, if you’re going to hide maybe hide your cursed energy while you’re at it’
“Did you both follow me here? You guys are such drags and stalkers, you know that is really creepy right?” you questioned both of them with an assumed tone before placing the bouquet of blue hydrangeas and white roses against the tomb, covering the last name on the engraved stone in case Kugisaki was going to come closer to you.
“Ah sorry,” Kugisaki apologies before placing her hands together in a ‘please forgive me’ position while Fushiguro just looked off to the side as if he could just avoid your glance to not feel embarrassed about getting caught.
Letting out an airy laugh, you turned back to the stone in front of you leading to your small smile to instantly turn back into a straight line as you glared at the incense’s smoke that was dancing in the air while your hand hesitantly went to the side of your neck.
‘It’s just a dream...It’s just a dream…’
“Does your neck hurt again? I suggest you stop sleeping under the tree if it does,” Fushiguro commented, causing you to jolt in surprised as you didn’t realise that he was now suddenly next to you rather than a few steps away to which could be said the same for Kugisaki, who was standing on the other side of you while looking at the tombstone that all three of you were now standing in front of.
“Hey! You didn’t answer my first question, did you both follow me here?” you asked once again with a teasing tone, causing both of your classmates to look to the side away from you since they instantly knew there was no way out of this little situation...it’s no surprise since you are Gojo’s adoptive daughter.
“It was Kugisaki’s idea to follow you since you disappear from time to time,” the shikigami sorcerer outed, as he placed a hand on the back of his neck to ease his bashfulness while Kugisaki turned her head towards him, ready to yell and counter his statement.
“Fushiguro is lying, it was his idea!” Kugisaki shouted in annoyance, causing your eyes to shift back and forward between them as you were somewhat finding slight amusement on what was going on at this current moment in time.
“Ah~ is that so?” you questioned, while slowly raising your hands to smack the back of their heads without them noticing causing both of your classmates to groan in pain once they felt the violent impact, before holding the back of their heads to ease the pain that was somehow intensifying - to be honest, they deserved it for trying to stalk you.
“Who are you visiting?” Fushiguro curiously asked with a hesitant tone since he didn’t want to accidentally cross the line on your comfort zone leading you to turn to him for a second before looking at the stone with a hint of heartache forming in your eyes as well as your heart.
“My mother,” you softly answered, leading your classmates to turn to you with widened eyes before looking at the stone showcasing where your mother was resting as a feeling of sympathy began to consume their whole body.
“I really don’t need your pity guys, it’s been 6 years already, so it’s not necessary,” you mentioned before they could give their condolences to you. You didn’t need it or rather, you didn’t want to hear any of it. When your mother passed away, you were used to the fact that you were the only one grieving since it was always just you and her in your own little world, there was no one giving you their condolences then and you didn’t want them now. It was already too late for that.
“So your real mother actually passed away, is that why Gojo-sensei adopted you?” Kugisaki asked, leading you and Fushiguro to slightly tense as you both were reminded of the fact that the ‘adoption’ story was just a (somewhat) clever cover-up to conceal your true identity as well as to not raise any suspicion on your sudden enrolment to Tokyo Metropolitan Curse Technical College.
“Yeah, he found me a year after and took me in,” you lied through your teeth, hoping that you were convincing enough to continue the lie leading your friend to nod her head, as she continued to gaze at your mother’s resting place.
“What was she like?” Fushiguro suddenly asked as he was trying to divert the conversation into a different topic leading you to open your mouth to answer before closing it again to tilted your head to the side slightly as you began to wonder all the things you could say to Fushiguro and Kugisaki to inform them about the person that brought you into the world.
“She was someone that I could only forgive if she did something wrong,” you quietly answered before mentally wondering if that was the right thing to say.
“She was someone that was quite selfless, even if that meant sacrificing her whole happiness to make someone else happy, that was the type of person she was,” you extended, trying to ignore the first comment you made since you were still wary of what you had just stated.
Fushiguro and Kugisaki hummed absentmindedly as they listened to your answer as they continued to peer at the stone that was in front of them like it was a painting of the Mona Lisa at the Louvre Museum in Paris, France.
“You know, it isn’t a painting to admire, right? There’s nothing special about a grave,” you questioned causing your classmates to break out from their daze to look at you before becoming flushed again since they didn’t realise that they were gawking. “It’s fine, I’m just teasing,” you commented before letting out another airy laugh as you processed to turn your heels and began to walk away from your mother’s resting place to the exit of the cemetery leading Fushiguro and Kugisaki to look at your direction in confusion before making their way towards you.
“Since you guys followed me all the way here, what do you want to do?” you asked, once they both caught up to you leading Kugisaki to answer immediately about the fact that you both needed to go to the bubble tea shop that you both went to the other day since she was craving it again leading to the erratic-haired sorcerer to groan slightly since he wasn’t in the mood to get anything sweet which caused you to explain that the shop also had black coffee if he wasn’t feeling the sugary drink.
“Are you the type to drink black coffee to impress a girl even though you don’t like it? That isn’t healthy Fushiguro, you shouldn’t do that to impress Gojo,” Kugisaki commented with a hint of worry since she didn’t expect the shikigami user to be the type to do what she has assumed. However, this seemed to annoy Fushiguro more as you discovered the irked mark on his forehead before answering that he always drank black coffee - to be honest, that statement made you remember the time you and Gojo had coffee together and you were disgusted about the number of sugar cubes he added into the caffeinated drink.
“I’m surprised you're not getting any orange juice,” Fushiguro mentioned, leading Kugisaki to widen her eyes in surprise since she hasn’t noticed you drinking your favourite juice for the whole day at all.
“I don’t know if you’re extremely bad stalkers or you lost me during your following session, but I have one here,” you stated in a matter-of-fact tone, as you dug into the pocket of your Jujutsu Tech uniform skirt to pull out a carton of orange juice leading your fellow sorcerers to look at the drink in shock since they didn’t remember you buying anything at all when they were following you.
“HOW?!” Kugisaki yelled out in complete surprise as she grabbed the boxed drink from your grasp while staring at it like it was a curse to be exorcised leading to the feeling of amusement to rise again since the situation was becoming funnier by the second rather than sorrowful like it was supposed to be today.
“I bought it at the vending machine just a few minutes away from this cemetery, maybe you two were arguing or something,” you commented with a small smile as you did recall hearing two people shouting at each other from a distance when you were collecting your drink from the dispenser - it was something like ‘this is really a stupid idea’ followed by ‘but we need to figure out where Gojo goes when she disappears, I want to knowwww’.
“You guys are such drag, so you better pay for my drink for me to forgive you both for stalking me,” you voiced out with a smirk planted on your face causing Fushiguro to look at you with widen eyes since he wasn’t expecting any consequences when it came to Kugisaki’s little investigation.
“Hold up, but don’t you have more money than us because you take on more missions? How much do you have Gojo?!” Kugisaki questioned as she moaned at the fact that she was going to pay you rather than spending that money on the Balenciaga jacket that she was hoping to get.
“That’s why I paid for your drink last time, so it’s your turn don’t you think?” you asked before continuing with, “think of it as a ‘thank you’ gift to me for the fact that I trained you both for the past two months,” leading both of the sorcerers besides you to quickly realise that paying for your drink might not be as bad as they expected - two months of training in exchange for paying your bubble tea, they didn’t mind that exchange at all.
“Ah alright, Kugisaki let’s go half and half,” Fushiguro stated causing the female sorcerer to nod as she gave you back your orange juice before linking your arm with hers due to the fact, she was more excited about spending the day with you for an extra day of the week rather than going back to Jujutsu Tech to do nothing.
“I just realised, the Kyoto Exchange Event is tomorrow isn’t it?” you asked before looking up to the sky as you began to recall what date it was today. However, it seemed like you were more concentrated on your feeling of relief as you noticed a few clouds moving across the sky rather than the one you could remember… you were reassured that it wasn’t just a solid blue that was above you right now.
“Yeah, and we are going to beat their asses!” Kugisaki cheered determinedly, leading you to giggle at her enthusiasm since she seemed motivated to win the whole event altogether.
“Do you think you’ll be picked for the individual battle?” Fushiguro questioned, causing you to shift your head towards him as you began to wonder if there was a possibility of you being chosen. From what you knew, Todo Aoi seemed to be the strongest sorcerer on the Kyoto side and had the highest chance of being picked for the second day of the Kyoto Exchange Event.
Although, it seemed like you didn’t have an answer to provide for the shikigami sorcerer leading you to raise your hand to quickly flick his forehead, catching him by surprise since it was one of your lighter ones. “I have no idea, you drag~” you answered, before placing your hand in your pocket.
“But one thing I do know is that we’re going to win the team's battle,” you mentioned with a courageous smile. You were confident since both Fushiguro and Kugisaki have improved so much during the past two months - much more than you had anticipated due to the short amount of time you three had to prepare for it.
Fushiguro and Kugisaki nodded boldly at your statement as it seemed like your confidence and determination had affected them as well.
Tomorrow, you all were going to win.
help pt.2 (r.c.)
after lots of requests asking for a part two!! i decided fuck it and to make it! hope u all enjoy! :) xxxxxx
part one here if you haven’t read it already!
masterlist.
after being in a relationship with rafe for a year now, you know how he handles his feelings and rationalizes them. it’s simple, he doesn’t. you’d watch and hear about him getting into fights with his sisters which was normal for siblings but you can see how he blew them out of proportion.
you knew for one thing that you weren’t in this relationship to solely be his therapist and fix him but you loved him and you help the ones you love. even if that means acknowledging that they may be in the wrong and helping them come to that realization to rationalize it.
however, no matter how many times you helped him and talked through everything with him, there were some nights in which a conversation was no use. there were only so many times that he felt as if he deserved help and other times where he resorted to drugs and drinking to ease his thoughts.
even though watching him blow your date off and throw a party as an excuse to push away his thoughts, you still cared for him. so when you walked away you didn’t hop in your car and speed off, but you invited yourself inside the large and dark house. you tiptoed your way to his room, not fully knowing who was home and who was asleep.
you found yourself in front of his door and placed your hand on the knob, turning it slightly and hearing the familiar creak of the hinges. you smelt the faint hint of the shower he had taken after you left and before the party. your eyes easily trailed the the outfit at the foot of his bed. it was not the outfit that you left him in and came to the conclusion that this was the outfit he was going to take you out in. you took a few steps to that outfit and lightly let your fingers trail along the stitching and buttons of his shirt, finally grasping it as tight as you could as you felt a lump in your throat form.
“(y/n)?” you heard a faint voice call out. you spun around and were face to face with wheezie who had her hair in two french braids and in her pajamas. she shined her phone in your direction to get a better look. you softly smiled and walked towards her, taking her in for a hug.
“hi wheeze. sorry, did i wake you?” you asked thoughtfully, pulling away and taking your shoes off in his doorway to throw them to the side. she put down her phone as her eyes finally adjusted to the moonlight shining in.
“nope, i could feel the bass bumping outside from here.” she chuckled. you looked into her soft brown eyes for a second and felt a tinge of guilt. you always tried to sympathize with everyone and put yourself in their shoes. you couldn’t imagine how wheezie felt. this was not the easiest household to grow up in, regardless of how it looks on the outside. she was only thirteen and already had her heartbroken. by her brother and father. and no matter how many times they pushed her to the side in their own frantics, she still put on a brave face and loved them. she was not as in the dark as she let off to be. she was intelligent and knew how to formulate her thoughts and actions.
“oh shit yeah, i’m sorry.” you apologized on behalf of rafe. she gave you a soft smile and shook her head, allowing one braid to fall from her shoulder to behind her back.
“don’t apologize for him, this is nothing new.” wheezie laughed off. you smiled off the situation as well, just accepting it at this point.
“what do you say we go out into town for brunch tomorrow? you and i?” you inquired, as a way of letting her know that you were there for her. because if you were there for rafe, you had to be there for everything that came from this relationship, and that meant his little sisters. a big smile grew on her face that warmed your heart and she nodded her head fast.
“totally down! i’ll start looking up cute places on google and let you know!” wheezie exclaimed, trying to contain some of her excitement. she turned around and excitedly ran back to her room upstairs. you closed rafe’s door, not all the way in hopes of letting some light from the hallway in.
making your way to his bathroom, you invited yourself to some of your toiletries that he practically begged you to keep here as an excuse to stay over more often. you grabbed make up wipes and your toothbrush and settled yourself before grabbing a tshirt of his and sliding off your dress. you placed your phone on the nightstand next to the bed, claiming your usual side of the bed before sliding under and shutting your eyes.
this slumber, if you could even call it that, felt like at least ten minutes when rafe had woken you up by barging through his door at least three hours later. your eyes fluttered open and tried their hardest to adjust quickly to the hallway light he was letting shine in your face. his glossy eyes lazily landed on your body under his covers and you swear you could see his shoulders relax. you gave your body a slight stretch and grabbed onto the top of the blanket and opened it up as an invite for rafe to hop in. rafe kicked off his shoes and stumbled his way to bed, which made your heart hurt a little.
“i thought you went home.” he slightly slurred, his eyes closing. he was lying on his back with the arm further from your resting on his forehead. the room must be spinning right now.
“i thought about it and maybe i had every right to, but i didn’t want to leave you.” you responded, in a mousier voice than you realized as this was the first words to leave your mouth since you woke up.
“why not? i fucking blew you off tonight. it was shitty.” he answered truthfully. you took a second and watched his chest rise and fall as he awaited an answer. you knew you were not here to be his savior but you were here to love him.
“it was shitty...but. but i know it’s because your psych yourself out and maybe feel like your in a valley rather than a peak. when your in peaks i love to see the smile on your face and make all these great memories with you. but when you’re in valleys, that is not the time for me to run and let you deal with everything on your own. i’m here to back you up and love you for you.” you responded, keeping your eyes on his rising and falling chest and letting your hand make it’s way to the center of it, feeling the faint beat of his heart. he took the free hand he had and grabbed your hand from his chest and kissed the top of it.
“i love you, (y/n).” rafe whispered, leaning over and kissing the top of your head. you both instinctively snuggled closer to each other and you could feel him squeeze you protectively. the moonlight and body warmth helped both of you fall asleep rather quickly.
--
waking up to the sunlight in the room shining through his two windows was almost as comforting as the fact that you woke up on your stomach with your hand still placed on his chest and his own hand resting on top of that. you could still feel the faint pitter patter and smiled softly to yourself. you slightly sat up to check the time on his nightstand where his clock sat. 9:17. you rolled your eyes playfully, thinking of the last time you saw that time, was last night when you hopped out of your car in front of his house. circumstances and conversations were different.
you slowly slid out from under the covers and made your way to the bathroom to freshen up quickly and grabbing a pair of his basketball shorts before heading to the kitchen for some water. grabbing a glass and filling it as quietly as you could you heard faint footsteps grow in volume as they entered the kitchen. you swiftly turned around and saw sarah walk in, opening up the fridge.
“mornin’.” sarah said, groggily and grabbing pre-made cold brew out of the fridge. you smiled softly as you brought the glass once at your lips down to the marble counter.
“morning. wheeze and i are going out to grab brunch if you wanna come out and make it a girls day!” you stated, lightly tapping your fingers against the glass. she made a face with a smile that looked like she was considering it and raised her eyebrows.
“i think i’ll take you up on that offer.” sarah responded, running a hand through her bed head and taking a sip. you smiled and felt slightly relieved, you and sarah were always nice to each other and were once even close but her and rafe’s relationship made you nervous to overstep. but you had to admit you missed how close you two were.
making your way back to rafe’s bedroom, you noticed his eyes fluttering open and he stretched, groaning in the meanwhile. he brought his hands to his head and rubbed his temples.
“need some advil babe?” you chuckled, grabbing the pill bottle from his dresser and going to hand him your glass of water. he groaned in response. as you handed the pill bottle to him, he grabbed your wrist and pulled you back in to bed. you couldn’t handle the scream that escaped your lips as you accidentally poured the water from your cup on the both of you.
he grabbed the cup and put it on the nightstand and wrapped his hands around your waist. rafe began planting kisses all over your face until you pulled away with a giant smile and realized you were straddling him. he smirked and checked you out before making his way back up to your eyes.
“i can get used to this sight.” rafe flirted and you felt your cheeks go hot as you rolled off of him.
“i gotta get ready.” you stated, chuckling and getting off the bed. you watched him dry swallow two ibuprofen and look at you with a shocked look on his face.
“get ready?” rafe said exasperatedly, lifting his torso off his bed and sitting up. you playfully rolled your eyes and grabbed your phone off the bed next to him.
“indeed. i’m having a girls only brunch with your sisters.” you said, flashing him a cheeky smile. he groaned and rolled his eyes, letting his body fall dramatically back on his bed. “oh, don’t be dramatic.” you heard his chuckle slightly fade out and you glanced over at him as he stared off into space.
“can you come back here later? or maybe i come to you? help me figure some of this “seeing someone to talk to” shit out. i don’t think i can do it alone.” he muttered, clearly a little embaraassed to admit it. you did not hesitate to walk over to him and grab his face in your hands before planting a kiss on his lips.
“anything for you, my love.” you whispered in front of his face and looked longingly into his eyes. you appreciated softer moments like this that reminded you of the sweet times you both had together. you pulled away after one more kiss. “i’m with you every step of the way.”
you stuck your pinky out to him and he again, playfully rolled his eyes, attempting to withhold the display of the oncoming smile on his face. he linked his pinky in yours and you both kissed your thumbs.
“i’m with you every step of the way.” he repeated. you both unlinked your fingers but let your hands graze each other as you walked closer to his doorframe.
“sarah, wheezie! ready whenever you are!” you yelled up, hearing two pairs of footsteps only a few moments after. you looked back and rafe winked at you as he put his hands behind his head. you laughed and caught up with his sisters in the foyer.
you were with each other every step of the way.
Just so I could call you mine part 2 - Aaron Hotchner x fem!reader
It's finally here! I'm sorry for the wait, I've only really been able to write at night - my day's have been kinda busy at the moment. But it's finished. It's quite long so sorry about that. I hope you guys enjoy it as much as you enjoyed part 1:)
Also (following a theme here) this is loosely based off of the song 'Enough for you' by Oliva Rodrigo
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
It had been a month since the argument. Well, I say argument, but I think downfall of the one thing that made me want to get up in the morning would be more accurate. After I’d broken down on Emily’s shoulder that night, she took me back to her place. The whole time I was there, part of me kept wishing for the phone to ring and for it to be him. It didn’t feel real. For the first few days I clung to the shred of hope that he might pull me aside at work to apologise, tell me he was wrong and wanted me back. But seeing as this is my life, that opportunity never came. We hadn’t spoken since that night. Even on cases, he would find ways to avoid talking to me. I can’t say I blame him, he’s a shitty man. And when shitty men do shitty things, they tend to run from it.
I walked into the bullpen laughing with Garcia. All the girls had really looked after me and I couldn’t be more grateful.
“Hey there pretty ladies” Morgan said, sauntering over to us.
“Why hello there handsome. Here to make us yours?” Garcia replied playfully.
“Only if you’ll have me.” Morgan bantered. Garcia just laughed before heading to her cave.
“So how are you gorgeous?” He said throwing his arm round my shoulder.
“I’m doing good. In desperate need for coffee. Don’t get me wrong I love Garcia but after only 3 hours of sleep, her bubbliness this early on has taken it out of me” I explained as we headed to the coffee machine. Derek dropped his arm and stood next to me, allowing me to make my drink.
“Only three hours huh? You having trouble sleeping?” He asked, crossing his arms over his chest.
“No, I just choose to run on as little energy as possible.” I retorted sarcastically, prompting an eye roll from him.
“You know what I meant.”
“Yeah I do, it’s just” I sighed looking down at my coffee.
“Hey.” Derek nudged my arm slightly. “What’s on your mind?” I chewed at the inside of my cheek nervously before answering.
“I guess I’m still adjusting to sleeping by myself.” I admitted. Derek nodded, wearing a sympathetic look on his face. “It’s so stupid, I should be over this by now. I mean I am over him but it’s just certain things like…ugh I don’t know. It’s just stressful.” I ranted.
“It’s normal baby. You went from, what was it nine months?”
“Eleven.” I corrected.
“Right so you went from 11 months of having someone next to you all the time, to suddenly nothing. It’s bound to take some getting used to.” He reasoned. I knew he was right. But something about the way Hotch had essentially picked up where he left off with Haley made me feel so stupid for still being hung up over him.
“Come on, let’s go see if boy genius can tell us something fun.” Derek joked as we walked back to our desks.
***********************************************************************
The day was almost over, and we’d had no cases, which allowed us to sort through old case files and tidy things up. As boring as that may sound, it was actually a nice break from the horrors we see on a daily basis.
“Right.” Emily said, stretching back in her chair. “I think I’m gonna head out.”
“And leave me here with the men?” I replied, pretend fear laced in my voice.
“I’m so sorry honey. You can do it I believe in you” Emily joked. The boys just swapped an annoyed look. “Sergio awaits me, so I’ll see you all tomorrow.” She said collecting her things.
“Bye Em.” I called after her. But just as she was about to leave JJ rushed into the bullpen.
“Emily stops where you are.” Emily groaned and turned around.
“Jayje I swear to god if you tell us we have a case, as much as I love you, I will be hurling my bag at your head.” Emily said. JJ just laughed at her.
“No, it’s nothing bad guys, but Rossi has invited us to dinner.” She said smiling. The way she looked at us made it seem like she was looking for some type of reaction.
“Okay? Something special about today?” Derek asked.
“Yeah that’s nice of him and all JJ but I’m really tired. Sitting in a crowed Chinese restaurant really wasn’t really what I planned to do tonight” Emily replied. JJ sighed.
“Fine. I mean if none of you want to come back to Rossi’s mansion for a bite to eat then I get that. Have a nice night with your cat Em.” JJ turned to walk away but at the sound of us all scrambling out of our seats, she turned back and laughed.
“Screw Sergio I wanna explore this guy’s house.” Emily said walking over to JJ.
“God you lot are so nosy” She joked as we all walked down to the parking lot.
“What do you expect? The guys a mystery so if there’s an opportunity to snoop of course we’d take it.” I chuckled.
“I just wanna see if he has a first drafts of his books lying around. I can almost imagine how much he left out.” Reid piped up.
“Of course, that’s what you wanna see pretty boy” Derek said patting Reid on the shoulder. We all hoped into our separate cars to go home and change before re convening at Rossi’s.
******************************************************************
The night was going great. It was so nice to be able to just take a night off – eat, drink, chat – without the stress of a case looming over our heads. Not to mention Rossi’s house was incredibly impressive. I mean if I could somehow make this man my sugar daddy and inherit this place, I’d be on it in an instant. Aaron was here, which didn’t surprise me. But what did is how relaxed he was. I’d seen it all the time when we were together but somehow seeing it tonight felt strange. Almost as if he’d dismissed the whole situation.
“Okay I wasn’t that bad guys.” Emily protested, snapping me from my thoughts.
“You told Spencer you were going to kill him if he didn’t stop being so loud.” Hotch said.
“That’s understandable on a hangover.” Emily reason.
“Em, I was just turning the pages of my book.” Spencer replied laughing. Emily spluttered over her words, but nothing came out causing the rest of us to join spencer. Suddenly the doorbell rang out. We all looked around confused.
“We’re not expecting anyone else are we?” Garcia asked.
“Um” Aaron cleared his throat.
“I think I might know who that is.” My heart sunk as he got up and walked to the door. Everyone swapped a look, trying to catch my eye but I just starred ahead of me. He wouldn’t have actually invited her. Right?
“Hey honey.” Her voice travelled through the halls causing my heart to not only sink even further, but completely shatter in the process. At least at work I could block out the fact he was with her but now he was just rubbing salt in the wound. Emily finally caught my gaze and shot me a supportive look. I just nodded, offering a tight-lipped smile. Eventually the pair of them came back.
“Hey guys, you know Haley.” Hotch said, looking slightly uncomfortable. Everyone greeted her politely enough, but it didn’t take a profiler to feel the shift in the atmosphere.
“Let me get you a chair.” Rossi said, going to stand up. “No, it’s fine, I’ll just sit here” She stated before promptly positioning herself in Aaron’s lap. I shifted uncomfortably in my seat. I couldn’t watch this. The seven of us sat in a cripplingly awkward silence for a few moments before JJ finally spoke up.
“So, um Haley, how’s jack doing?” She asked politely. “Oh, he’s doing great. Very happy to have his daddy around a lot more now.” Haley responded in a smug tone. As she spoke, she glanced over at me. Clearly noticing my appearance, she threaded her fingers through Aaron’s hair. I averted my gaze, opting to study the details of Rossi’s floor. I heard Hotch clear his throat, almost as if he wanted her to stop. “
I’m glad he’s happy.” JJ replied.
“So am I. Before it was just so hard what with his job and, well – other arrangements – Aaron barely had time for his own son you know. But luckily that’s all been dealt with now.” Haley leant forward and I heard her placing a kiss on his cheek. I couldn’t take this anymore; she was clearly taunting me and as I much as I hated giving into her games – this was so much worse.
“Excuse me.” I said, standing up and heading towards the garden. It took everything inside of me not to break down right then and there. But the minute I reached the garden I lost it. The tears streamed down my face as I tried to quiet my sobs. My heart ached. It felt like everything was crashing down around me. My chest felt hollow. I thought I was over this, over him. I could feel my knees growing weak under me so opted to sit by the edge of the pool, in the hopes to grab some sense of normality. It was a nice night out. It was summer so still warm, but there was enough of a breeze to keep it bearable. I’m sure if looked up I would’ve been able to see the stars, but I was transfixed on the water. Suddenly I heard the back door open. I didn’t turn around, not wanting to face whoever it was.
“I’ve always wanted a pool.” Emily’s voice came from beside me. She sat down, placing her legs in the water next to mine. “I’d love to have this house too.” She stated taking in her surroundings. “What do you say, wanna take Rossi down together and claim all this for ourselves?” She asked nudging my arm. I let out a stiff chuckle but didn’t say anything. Emily took a deep breath before she spoke.
“I’m sorry you had to sit through that” Her voice was sincere. “I don’t know if Hotch invited her, or she just rocked up, but it was out of order either way.” I nodded not trusting my voice right now. “You should know, the rest of us were just as angry. Derek left a few moments after you. He went into the kitchen, but he didn’t come back. I had to send Spencer after to him just to check he wasn’t tearing the place up.” She said light-heartedly. That gave me some comfort, to know I wasn’t being overly sensitive. She let her words hang in the air for a moment and we enjoyed the stillness of the night.
“I just thought.” I began, my voice rough from crying. “That maybe it wasn’t real. Maybe they weren’t actually back together you know?” I turned my gaze towards Emily. She understood. That was one of my favourite things about her. No matter what the situation, whether she’d experienced it herself or not, she was always so deeply empathetic that it helped.
“Listen, nothing I say right now is going to make this any easier. Sure, I could sit here and tell you what a douche bag he’s being” I smiled at her words. “But I know that wouldn’t change anything for you. So, I’ve just come to let you know that we’re all here for you. Take as much time as you need, and when you feel comfortable, come back and join us inside.” She said squeezing my hand.
“Thank you Em. For everything.” She just smiled before standing up and heading inside. By this point I’d stopped crying. You know that moment of calm you experience right after you’ve stopped crying, just before the headache or tiredness kicks in, that is probably my favourite feeling. Which sounds somewhat depressing, but everything just feels so at ease in that moment. Unfortunately, I could not bask in it for long as I heard the back door slide open once again. Thinking it was Emily I called out to her.
“Please don’t tell me I’m going to come in there and see you forcing Rossi to sign us into his will.” I joked, turning around. But instead of being greeted with my friends’ heart-warming chuckle, I saw the man who’d caused this little escape to the garden. It was Aaron.
“Hotch.” I said surprised, scrambling to stand up.
“Hi.” He replied. He looked nervous, relentlessly fidgeting with his hands. It wasn’t normal.
“Why are you here?” I didn’t bother trying to make small talk. What would be the point?
“Um, well I…I just wanted to…” His voice trailed off as he looked to the ground. “Can we sit down?” He asked after a moment. I nodded and made my way over to the beautiful table Rossi had. Aaron sat down but didn’t say anything, just starred ahead of him.
“Are you going to talk or what?” I said bluntly. He looked surprised at my tone but cleared his throat before answering me.
“I just wanted to check on you.” His voice was low, almost as if he didn’t want me to hear what he was saying.
“Check on me?” I replied clearly irritated.
“Yeah I mean you just took off back there, so I wanted to make sure you were okay” He said literally looking anywhere but me. I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. He’d spent a whole month doing the most to avoid talking to me and now, not only he dangles his happiness in my face , but he also has the audacity to ask if I’m okay?
“Yeah I wonder why that is?” I shot back. Hotch went to reply but I cut him off. “No no let’s think about it. What could have possibly made me leave? Was it the fact that Derek telling a story? Nope that doesn’t seem to be it.” I said sarcastically. “Oh, maybe Spencer was rambling about something random? No doesn’t sound right? Gosh I just – I don’t know what it could have been. You got any ideas” I continued. Hotch starred at me, annoyed by my games but not enough to reply. “Wait I remember, it was the fact that my ex-boyfriend just wanted to shove the fact that he’s moved on and obviously didn’t give a fuck about me or our relationship further down my throat!” I concluded, standing up to leave.
“That is not fair.” He called after me. I stopped in my tracks, the anger growing inside of me.
“What? What about that is unfair to you?” I replied folding my arms over my chest.
“For you to say I didn’t care about our relationship” he said, his voice laced with annoyance. I scoffed at his words.
“Really? I think it’s perfectly fair considering how you’ve acted. It’s clear that you have no respect for me or what we were.”
“Just because I spend more time with Haley now doesn’t mean that I’ve just disregarded our entire relationship.” He sounded exasperated.
“Spend more time with her? Hotch she was practically fucking you on the chair in there.” I yelled. I’d tried so hard not to lose it but his lack of understanding right now was getting too much for me. “I loved you so much. I gave everything I had into that relationship, and you’ve thrown it all back in my face over one twisted story that your wife decided to spin.” I ran my fingers through my hair trying to calm down. The last thing I needed was for the rest of the team to hear this. Although I didn’t care if Haley did. That bitch. “I don’t know what I did wrong to make you choose her. Maybe I just wasn’t as interesting as her, but you could not have cared less about someone who loved you more. She dragged you down, manipulated you into believing it was your fault that she fucked those other guys. Or when she made you feel bad for choosing to stay in a job that literally makes the world as safer place for people like her or Jack. All I ever wanted was to support you and be there for you to lean on. I wanted to be that one person you could turn to when you felt like the world was crumbling down and you would feel okay. I just wanted to be enough for you. Because that’s what you were for me.” I ranted. Unfortunately, this time I’d been unable to hold back my tears, but I was hoping the darkness of the garden would hide that. Aaron looked crushed, almost guilty. Part of me hurt to seem him like that but another part reminded me he deserved it. I’d say he broke my heart, but he broke much more than that.
“You were that to me too.” He mumbled. His voice was so quiet I wasn’t sure I’d heard him. Clearly noticing my lack of response, he continued. “You meant so much to me and I can’t tell you how painful it’s been without you.”
“Doesn’t really seem like that” I scoffed. He sighed before walking over to me.
“Listen the thing with Haley-“
“If you’re about to tell me why you’re back together with her, please don’t. I can’t handle that right now.” I begged.
“No listen. We aren’t together.” His words took me by surprise.
“What?”
“The night everything kicked off, I’m not going to lie – I did believe her. I mean when she told me that you’d told JJ everything about the divorce, yeah I was mad. It took me so long to open up to you about that, you know the insecurities and the fact I thought Jack was going to resent me or not want me in his life. I trusted you and you just threw it out the window.” I starred at him in shock, unable to speak. Hotch being who he was picked up on my reaction. “What is it?” He asked.
“I can’t believe that’s what she told you.” I said utterly blown away by the fact that Haley was able to lie about something so huge with such ease.
“What do you mean? Are you trying to tell me that’s not what happened?” He sounded apprehensive.
“It couldn’t be further from the truth. She called me to ask where you were and when you’d be home. She must have thought I was lying because then she called JJ. JJ told her she knew she’d rung me and then she hung up.” I explained. Hotch looked just as confused. “I would never tell anyone those things Aaron. No matter how much you hurt me.” He didn’t reply. He looked so torn. “I tried to explain that to you on the night, but you weren’t listening.” I spoke. That caught his attention.
“I know I just felt so betrayed I guess it blinded me.” He replied. “The only reason I’ve stayed as close with her as I have recently is because she was going to keep me away from Jack. I know she had no solid grounds to hold that to and we could have taken it to court if it had gotten that bad, but fathers hardly ever win full custody. I didn’t want to risk it.” He explained. I nodded.
“I understand.” I got it. Jack was his world. And losing him might have just broken him. “
I can’t begin to explain how sorry I am that I let her get between us. I should’ve known, I-I should’ve trusted you.” He rambled. He begun pacing back and forth.
“Hey.” I reached out a grabbed his arm. “Yes you should have trusted me, I’m not going to act like what happened didn’t hurt. But you’re not a mind reader Aaron. You believed the first story you heard. I get it.” I reasoned. Tentatively, he reached out and took my hands in his, rubbing gentle circles with his thumbs.
“I missed you. Everyday.” He whispered.
“I did too. I loved you.” I replied softly. His gaze caught mine.
“Loved?” He asked his eyes wracked with worry.
“Part of me still does. I can’t just shut those feelings down. But what you did broke me. And I don’t want to risk that happening again.” I confessed. He nodded.
“I guess I’ll just have to prove myself to you. Because trust me, you’re all I want. And I’ll wait however long you need me to.” He replied. I smiled up at him and wrapped my arms around his neck as his arms travelled to my waist. Maybe we would get back together or eventually just drift apart, but right now I had my best friend back. And that’s all I cared about.
Tumblr media
As you woke up the next day, you were not shocked to find that the boys were not up yet. Last night you were surprised to come downstairs to an already fully cleaned kitchen and as much as it made you embarrassed, it also made you immensely grateful. You thanked them and told them to stop being so nice and doing your job for you, to which Mark only responded that seven guys could be really messy sometimes.
You had given them the folders that informed all the activities the Inn (well, you) offered and the ones they could book in the city a few minutes away, it made you smile at how excited they got reading the paper and planning their days. Haechan was already asking if they could go stargazing that same night but the rest of them groaned saying they were way too tired to move after the long trip (and you felt bad once again for having them clean the kitchen).
Everyone eventually agreed on a time for breakfast and you were just sure they wouldn’t wake up that early by the dark circles under their eyes and, turns out you were right. They did go to sleep pretty early the other night, showering after the meal you had and just going straight to bed.
You lazily stretched as you left your room with Koda and Kenai tracing after you, to find a very much awake Jaemin sitting on the living room’s couch holding a cup.
“Good morning, did you make coffee?” You yawned at the boy, scolding Koda so he would get off the couch.
“Good morning. Yeah, sorry for taking the liberty, I really needed to wake up,” He smiled at you, petting your disobedient dog with his free hand so he could get distracted from the way your shirt had ridden up. Damn morning horniness.
“It’s ok, smells good. Are the rest of the boys awake?”
“Nop, and probably won’t be for a while. I know we agreed on going to the lake at 8 but everyone’s dead, I can wake them up if-“
“No, it’s ok,” You laughed. “I imagined this would happen, not a fan of waking up early myself.”
“Oh, you can go back to sleep if you want, I can knock when everyone starts waking up.”
“Don’t worry. You just really made me want some coffee.”
“I left it downstairs, I can go get you a cup.”
“Jaemin, we’re playing opposites here, don’t make me feel useless,” You joked, already making your way to the stairs, missing how the man stared at your legs in your little pajama shorts. “Plus, I need to take the boys on a walk before they become too fidgety.”
“Can I come with?”
“Of course.”
Jaemin was quick to stand up and follow you downstairs, where you quickly poured yourself a cup of coffee and opened the door, the dogs running past you excitedly. You silently lead the way out of your property and into the unpaved road, warming your hands with the coffee mug – The days were hot but the nights and early mornings could be quite chilly, especially with all the trees surrounding you and blocking the sunshine from reaching you.
“Do they sleep with you?” Jaemin asked, pointing at the dogs who were sniffing around the bushes on the side of the road, like they didn’t do this same route every day.
“Sometimes, they often prefer to stay outside, lots of animals to chase when I’m not there to scream at them.”
“They don’t wear leashes?”
“No need to, there’s barely people here and they are really well-behaved. I trained them well, Koda just gets a little bold when we have new guests over,” You smiled, remembering not even 5 minutes ago said dog was trying to get on Jaemin’s lap on the couch. “Do you like tangerines?”
The boy looked at you confused but nodded.
“Wait a second,” You asked before leaving him, walking off the road and into the trees. After a minute or so, you were back, throwing one of the orange fruits at Jaemin. “I steal them from the neighbors sometimes.”
“Will we get in trouble?” He asked but was already peeling the tangerine with his hands.
“Nah, they are never here. These would just rot.”
“Seems only fair then.”
You walked for another few minutes in silence, eating happily as you appreciated the sound of your feet crushing the small rocks on the floor.
“Ok, tangerines do not go well with coffee,” You make a face after eating half of your fruit, only now stopping to pay attention to the actual taste in your mouth.
Jaemin laughs at you before putting his last slice into his mouth, “Cute.”
“There’s nothing cute about this flavor.”
“Didn’t bother me,” He shrugged, smiling down at you.
Damn that boy was too attractive for his own good. You meant, all of them were.
It was just unfair, really.
The two of you talked a bit more until you hit the end of the road and then made your way back, it was a light-hearted comfortable conversation and you liked the way it made you feel warm inside. You learnt that Jaemin likes to photograph stuff and you asked him to take lots of pictures during their stay so you could use them on the Inn’s social media, telling him you shared that hobby with him. You then started a discussion about digital vs. film photography, in which you two clearly didn’t agree on, but it kept you entertained for a long time.
“Listen, technology evolved to this point to make life comfortable and easier for a reason!” Jaemin whined as you two were entering your property once again. “Is there something worse than developing your pictures only to find out your film was ruined?”
“That’s the thrill of it!” You exasperated.
“I call that heartbreak.”
“It’s a raw form of art for the strong hearted,” You sigh dramatically, opening the door for the man.
After your half an hour walk, as you got back home, only Renjun was up, pouring himself some coffee and looking super sleepy.
“Good morning, slept well?” You asked as Jaemin made his way to sit down on the table after getting Renjun to pour him some more coffee.
“Yeah, this is the first time I dreamt in months,” He smiled at you but his eyes were still half closed. Like you, Renjun was still in his pajamas, light sweatpants and a wrinkled white t-shirt.
“Do you guys want to eat something before breakfast?” You asked, not knowing how long they would have to wait for the others.
“It’s ok,” Jaemin answered.
“If you change your mind just let me know,” You smiled, wondering on what to do now, since you had already prepared the food for today last night and didn’t have any other chores until everyone was up so you could make their beds.
You figured the boys would drink their coffees and go talk or lay down in the hammocks, maybe even try to nap a bit but you were proven wrong when Renjun pointed at the end of the table suddenly excited, “Are those cards?”
“Yeah.”
“Can we play?”
“Of course.”
The man was quick to pick up the little box and sit down across the table from Jaemin, who tapped the place next to him before you had the chance to leave. You happily took on the offer, content with finally spending some fun time with people your age. No, scratch that: Attractive men your age.
“Let’s play Rummy!” Renjun suggested, the sleepiness leaving his body at the simple thought.
“I have no idea how to play that,” You informed.
“It’s ok, I’ll teach you. Come closer,” Jaemin smiled at you and you obeyed, heart beating fast at your thighs suddenly touching. What were you? 12?
The game was way too complicated for your morning brain to understand so you basically just watched the boys play, giving your input here and there.
“Jaemin, here!” You excitedly pointed at one of the cards he was holding.
“Oh, I had missed that, smart girl,” He smiled at you, patting your thigh as a thank you or maybe a praise, making your heart almost leave your body through your mouth.
Freaking pet names dude.
After an hour or so playing, Jeno and Haechan appeared already fully clothed and awake. The second boy gave you and Jaemin a weird look, noticing how the boy’s right hand was just casually resting on your thigh. At some point it just happened and it felt comfortable (if you ignored your blood pumping through your body twice the normal speed, of course), it had been months since you had flirted with someone and you were enjoying the touch fully, thoughts of being professional nowhere to be found.
You greeted the boys and they sat down too, informing Mark and Chenle would be down in a second and Jisung would just skip breakfast to sleep. You decided then to get up and leave them to chat as you went into the pantry to organize the food you had prepared yesterday, into the baskets.
“Dude,” Haechan whispered to Jaemin.
Just by looking at the boy, Jaemin already knew what he wanted to comment on so he just, “Don’t.”
“Game on, bro.”
“What? This is not a game, we were just-“
“I said game on, bro.”
Jaemin sighed and gave up, knowing Haechan was just joking and being annoying as usual.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
After all the men (minus Jisung) were downstairs and ready to go, you guided them down to the lake, setting up one of those cliché plaid towels for everyone to sit on. As you and Mark organized the foods around, you smiled at the others running around the grass and taking pictures, impressed at the view. The lake really was pretty and your property had a privileged clearing to sit down and enjoy it.
“I would love to say they are normally not this energetic,” Mark smiled at you, placing the bowl with the grapes and strawberries down. “But I’d be lying.”
“It’s refreshing, I rarely deal with people my age around here. We didn’t add bingo to the activities’ folder for no reason.”
“There are no clubs or bars around here?”
“The biggest city around has barely 2.000 habitants so I’ll say no to that. Although this region is becoming really famous for the ecotourism these days, they opened a nice pub for the tourists like last month but there’s only ever people during the weekends.”
“Well, if you ever go to Seoul, let me take you out,” Mark offered before realizing what he had said and stiffening, cheeks going red like the watermelon juice in your hands. “I mean, like, to show you the places and-“
“That sounds fun,” You smiled at him, deciding to end his misery right from the start. He was cute. “Boys, the food is ready.”
Jeno excitedly dropped Haechan down (who he was holding for a picture) and ran over, leaving a very whiny boy on the floor. Jaemin took a picture of that and soon enough, everyone was sitting down on the picnic clot.
“Wow, it looks like we’re in a movie,” Renjun awed, looking around.
It really did, that’s why you liked bringing the guests to this spot on their first day. After everything was set, the scenery resembled a Renaissance painting and you loved it. It was a bit hotter than normally since it was a few hours later then the time the guests usually have breakfast, but the gentle breeze of the wind was enough to not make it unbearable.
The meal was fun, the boys made you feel so comfortable that it felt like you have known each other for a longer time than the actual truth. You all chatted, joked around and posed for pictures with the food. You had brought your analog camera just to tease Jaemin, asking him to take a picture with it for you.
“How do you want it?” The boy groaned, pretending to be annoyed.
“Here, I have an idea,” Haechan shared, excitedly, holding up one of the strawberries from the bowl in front of your face. “Bite it on the side.”
You accepted the advice confused, not understanding where he was trying to go with it but excited, you loved a good old-fashioned improvised picture. Jaemin pointed the camera at you and counted to three, and you smiled around the strawberry when on the count of one, Haechan bit on the other side of the strawberry and looked at you cross-eyed. After you saw the flash of the camera going off, you decided to take a big bite of the strawberry to play around with Haechan but apparently the boy had the same idea and your lips ended up touching, slightly. Since when has your life become a cliché teenage movie?
You quickly took the stem of the fruit from between your mouths, pulling away from the boy to tease him, “Damn. Didn’t even buy me dinner first.”
The others joined in on teasing Haechan but the man simply winked at you, “Would be my pleasure.”
You didn’t even have time to giggle before the other men pretended to puke and Renjun legit slapped Haechan.
                                       _____________________________________________
The boys decided to not do any activities that day because Jisung would simply not wake up and after a while waiting, Chenle decided to join him on the hibernation. It made you feel sad for them, that their days were so busy and tiring that at the first sight of some time off, they would sleep for hours and hours to make up for it.
The rest of you decided to play some volleyball in the parking lot (which  was not the best idea considering it was noon). As expected by the almost 40 degrees climate, one by one, every single boy started taking off their shirts, body dripping and glistening with sweat and you just felt in heaven. This could just not be real, you even looked around for cameras, scenes like that just didn’t happen in real life. One hot shirtless guy was the acceptable quota for normality.
But also, you didn’t miss the way they looked at you in your little shorts and top (equal rights after all). It made you feel powerful even though you knew it was just their hormones talking, yours were screaming too after all. If it was already like that on their second day here, you couldn’t imagine how you would survive for the next few weeks, you just wanted to cry every time Jeno (who was on your team) approached you to celebrate when either of you scored, high-fiving you with his huge arms (you would die a happy woman if you were choked by them).
After the game was over, the boys decided to go swim on the lake to cool off and you figured it would be a good time to shower and organize their beds, which you quickly did before starting to make some lunch for everyone. The youngest ones of the group didn’t even wake up to eat so you decided to leave them some food in the microwave in case they got hungry in the afternoon.
Unfortunately the Wi-Fi was being annoying as usual and refused to work, so you couldn’t even google about the boys yet, the curiosity was almost killing you. Maybe it was better like that, right now you were just seeing them as 7 young men living their normal lives and you liked it, it kept you from being nervous at the fact they were probably some big stars that had the world at their feet – They all just seemed so chill sprawled around the living room floor playing the bingo you had joked about earlier, it was hard to believe they probably had hoards of screaming girls around them daily.
They thanked you for cleaning their rooms and told you that you didn’t have to, which technically you did, considering it was literally your job and the whole reason you were there.
You could be wrong, considering you have known them for barely 2 days, but you quickly noticed some little things about them: Like how Jaemin liked to touch you, even if it was just a light brush of his hand on your arm (in his defense, he was touchy with everyone, but when he touched you, it just lingered for a bit longer), or how Haechan liked to playfully flirt with you, that boy just had no shame and you admired him for that. You saw how Renjun often stared at you but when you looked at him, he looked away (which could mean either he was shy or he just didn’t like you very much), but at least he was more subtle about it, as opposite to Mark, who became a blushing mess every time you caught his eyes (and you just wanted to squeeze him). You realized Jeno was a manlier guy, you hadn’t gotten what his deal was yet but you loved the way his eyes disappeared when he smiled and that was enough for you.
It was funny, really, how everyone decided to ignore the tension in the air and go on with the day normally – You did only meet the day before after all.
After getting bored with bingo, the boys told you they planned on going water skiing tomorrow and you agreed happily, telling them you could have a little barbecue party in the camping next to the docks where your parents kept the Inn’s water sports gears, which got them even more excited.
“Can we go camping too?” Jeno asked, receiving a groan from Haechan. Classic city boy.
“Like at night?” You asked and Jeno nodded. “Yeah, actually the stars here are crazy pretty since there’s no light pollution.”
“See?” The boy told Haechan excitedly, who only sighed, accepting his fate.
Barbecue, bonfire, alcohol and a beautiful sky: You were a city girl too but you were also a sucker for a good camping night.
