I hadn't planned on uploading anything today since my exam is just a few days away, but I decided to create this quick piece spontaneously as a way to alleviate some stress- Currently dying in anxiety attacks because of my qualifying.
"Y/n," Muichiro's voice broke through your concentration, you tore your eyes away from the screen, momentarily frustrated by the interruption. The softness of the futon beneath you reminded you of the comfort of your surroundings, contrasting with the intensity of the game.
Your fingers still held the phone, but you shifted your attention to Muichiro, acknowledging his presence. His face held a hint of subtle plea for your undivided attention. But you were caught in the grip of the game's challenge in your phone, frustration tugged at your patience, but you couldn't bring yourself to give up.
"Not now, Mui." You said with a flat voice, laced with a hint of exasperation as you were absorbed back in the virtual realm. It was a reflexive dismissal, a defense mechanism against the interruption.
Muichiro's pout deepened, his mint eyes narrowing as he observed your unwavering focus on the game, he longed for your attention.
Driven by his desire to break through your absorbed state, Muichiro shifted even closer, hoping to catch your eye. His proximity was a subtle yet deliberate attempt to remind you of his presence, to disrupt the one-sided immersion in the virtual world.
"But Y/n, I'm bored," he murmured, his tone filled with a mix of longing and frustration as he softly complained.
But as the seconds ticked by without a response from you, Muichiro's frustration grew. His cheeks puffed up in a subtle display of childish annoyance, mirroring his inner turmoil.
"Y/n..." Muichiro whined, frustrated as he tried to capture your attention, he reached out to poke your shoulder.
Your response was a silent one. With your phone still held up towards the ceiling, you turned away from Muichiro, further distancing yourself from his attempts to engage with you.
"..." If only you could see the adorable expression of dejection on his face when you turned away.
He directed his glare towards the phone in your hands. His mint eyes narrowed with a childish glare, as if blaming the device for capturing your attention and obstructing the connection he craved.
In his eyes, the phone seemed almost mocking, as if it were an adversary stealing away the moments that could be shared between the two of you.
“Y/n.” Muichiro's annoyance grew as his voice carried a tinge of frustration. The longing for your attention clashed with his mounting impatience as he couldn't bear to be ignored any longer.
“Just wait, Mui, I’m about to finish the level.” In response to your dismissive remark, you remained focused on the game, not even bothering to turn and acknowledge Muichiro's presence.
Driven by his frustration and determination to be heard, Muichiro took matters into his own hands. He couldn't stand idly by while the game continued to steal away your attention. With a deep sigh, his patience worn thin, he swiftly approached you, his expression stern and resolute.
In a bold move, Muichiro reached out and snatched the phone from your grasp, abruptly ending its hold over you. He tossed it aside onto the nearby bedsheet, a symbolic act of reclaiming your attention and breaking free from the virtual world's grip.
“Wha!” Your startled exclamation hung in the air.
“Pay attention to me.” he declared, his words carrying a touch of childlike petulance as his pout deepened, and his mint orbs lightly glaring at you.
His next move caught you off guard, but it was undeniably endearing. He leaned in and rested his head on your chest, his arms enveloping you in a warm embrace, seeking comfort and closeness.
The surprise of his actions gave way to a mixture of emotions. On one hand, there was the initial frustration of having your gaming session interrupted. On the other hand, his earnest plea and the intimacy of the moment pulled at your heartstrings.
As a soft sigh escaped your lips, you couldn't help but give in to Muichiro's endearing and persistent efforts. His pout and childlike demeanor melted away any resistance you had left. The affectionate gesture he initiated touched your heart, and you found yourself unable to deny him any longer.
Returning his embrace, you wrapped your arms around his body, drawing him closer to you. The warmth of his presence enveloped you, leaning in, you placed a gentle kiss on his forehead, a tender expression of your affection.
The sound of his satisfied hum reached your ears, confirming that your response had brought him joy.
Muichiro glanced back at you, his mint eyes transformed into the most endearing puppy eyes you had ever seen. He knew exactly how to tug at your heartstrings and he used this power to his advantage.
“Is your game more important than me?”
A sweat drop formed on your forehead as you found yourself unable to resist the adorable scene before you. “Of course, not…”
“Good.” Muichiro's small, adorable smile illuminated his face as he heard your reassurance. It was evident that his earlier question had stirred a sense of possessiveness within him, particularly when it came to your phone.
With a mischievous glint in his eyes, he responded, "I would've destroyed your phone if you said yes." His possessiveness, though playful, shone through, revealing the depth of his attachment to you and his desire to have your undivided attention.
“… Mui, please don’t. I just brought it…” Your tone held a mixture of amusement and genuine worry, knowing that his possessiveness over the electronic device was endearing but it also highlighted his possessive nature.
The game that had absorbed your attention for weeks suddenly seemed trivial compared to the uncertain outcome it might face at the hands of Muichiro.
Even though it took you weeks to reach that level… It can wait, given the circumstances…

hi! ~a belated studyblr intro~
just realized i never did a proper intro for this blog!
so, hello, i've been flip flopping between taking lessons and self-studying piano for several years and this blog was (and still is) intended to be a studyblr to track my progress.
i'm currently self-studying as my time is split between this and STEM studies (more on that on my side blog @studentbyday) but i really really hope to finally establish a consistent practice (after struggling to do so for many years 😅) so i know i will be able to handle weekly lessons again 😤
🎓 goals for piano/music studies:
enjoy playing music (including without headphones)
establish sustainable routines so i can practice piano every day or at least every week
get over stage fright and paralyzing perfectionism
improve my sight reading
motivate myself to learn more music theory and use it to analyze my favorite songs
find fellow music enthusiasts on tumblr!
💗 interests/inspirations:
classical music (my favorite composer is chopin but beethoven is a close second)
jazz
your lie in april (i read the manga online and really really wanna see the anime!)
Tiffany Poon and Animenz's playing
🎹 accumulated study tips: resources, practice strategies, coming back after hiatus, hand independence and method books
