Hey guys, I hate doing this, but once again (through no fault of his own) our roommate is short for rent and we're already struggling. All of my husband's overtime is once again going to have to go towards rent instead of building up our dwindling bank account.

I currently have my [writing commissions open] with three slots available at a time just to keep me from getting overwhelmed. If you're at all interested I charge $1/100 words with a 1k ($10) word minimum and 5k ($50) max. All completely original content. Snow

The sun makes the snow sparkle

While slowly killing it

A beautiful, tragic, passionate death

I sit down on my bed, per usual

Recalling a fact I learned while watching Atypical

(I never got past the first episode)

Snow absorbs sound

Maybe that’s why things turned south in the winter

We couldn’t hear each other

Or at least, they didn’t hear me

No one hears me

And if they do, they don’t listen

They don’t understand

But I can’t blame winter, or the snow

Whatever weather, I get ignored

I am constantly camouflaged

So I absorb my own sound

I am the snow

People like me when they want to play but when they’re done, 

I’m useless.

Everyone else is the sun, on a day with clear skies

I grew up as the weird (autistic) goth kid who spent a lot of time in graveyards. I didn’t have friends. So I invented them. That’s why I’m an author, I think. I crafted worlds full of wondrous diversity, quirky characters, peculiar souls. I knitted them into families. I often felt at home when I read; the work of Neil Gaiman, of Terry Pratchett, of Ursula Le Guin, of Terry Brooks… My fiction is meant to be participatory too. When you read it, you should feel like you came home and friends were waiting to greet you.

Maybe in a really cool graveyard—like this one at Scone Castle.
