I was washing dishes and had a thought.

Spoilers past here if you haven't completed the story, so I'm only warning you once!

A lot of exchange Students who use Twitter are worried that the OG Obey Me game isn't going to be getting as much love once Nightbringer comes around.

After 3 or 4 years, you don't get any more birthday or anniversary calls, and we've been at Lesson 80 for darn near almost a year

They also had a line in the newspaper picture about making OM! Nightbringer even bigger and better than the OG, but that it's not stopping (I also noted that they didn't say the story would continue, just that it wasn't going anywhere. Their other apps didn't for a really long time)

What if they're gonna retcon everything in the OG?

The OM devs aren't shy about slyly retconning stuff to make the story work. Lucifer and Michael have changed what angels they are, Simeon has as well, and before the story was that when the boys fell--they met Diavolo's father. He gauged their power, gave them their order and titles.

Yet now, their sins have always been a part of them, but heavily suppressed in their angel days, and the devil king was already asleep underground when they came. According to Nightbringer, RAD didn't exist before the boys fell. But according to the Glory Days card for Lucifer, it did, and he went there on a tour once.

I suppose it could be explained away in, he didn't want to change out of his angel garb because he still considered himself an angel after the fall, being in denial, but then again, in the Lilith flashback he was aware and sad about it.

ANYWAY!

It really wouldn't surprise me if they decided to change MORE in Nightbringer to help the story fit. Or explained the changes that subtly happened like that in the OG was due to the events in Nightbringer.

What if they update from 81-90 or 100 and the last lesson is what sends MC to the past and erases their memory? Lesson 80 ends with MC talking to Solomon and him telling them to tell everyone hi for him before they zip back to the Devildom at will, having mastered teleport magic.

It sorta feels like a "and on and on it goes until the end of time" ending that some anime and manga take, leaving it up to interpretation, or it feels the start of a new season.

80-100 could be the events that lead up to MC meeting the mysterious figure that we see in some of the ads holding the clock. It'll also give us time to romance/get to know the new side characters: Mephistopheles, Raphel and Thirteen before the end.

I could easily see lesson 100 ending with "the story continues? In Obey Me! Nightbringer!"

Then we pick back up in OM! Nightbringer as both a sequel and a prequel and it totally changes everything?

A way to experience that first time feeling, but with characters we know and love because our interfering messes with the ending.

Kinda weird though, as OM was the first SWD game that broke away from their typical set up to Otome games.

I said before but I've played a LOT of Solmare games, and they usually went like this: a nondescript-ish (usually a thin, light skinned, brown haired) female would be thrown into a new situation, be helpless and depend on 1 of X amount of guys to defend her.

Depending on her choice, she could get a good, neutral or bad ending to THAT person's story. And each boys involvement with the story changed the ending of the overall tale. No ending was just a like.

I wonder if they're going back to that old model, in that we'll pair off with a boy and go down his route and experience the story in different ways, and getting different endings.

Plus it'll really feel weird with the rhythm gaming aspect, as far as I know, it's a first for Solmare. The rest of the games depended on chance, buying items and leveling up a doll version of your girl.

It used to really annoy me, because you'd need something like gems to get an ultra romantic version of a section of story disguised as a "choice". In it, you'd get super romantic lines and a beautiful picture to go with it, but without outright buying the needed gems or whatever they wanted, you had a snowballs chance in hell of seeing it.

1. Absolutely no Luke included in anything NSFW. I will not do an “aged up” Luke either. Do not ask. Your request will be deleted. He is a child.

2. I try to do ALL characters for my HCs. Sometimes I get tired or crunched for time so if there are ones you specifically hope to have included - let me know.

3. I will write for dark AU versions of Obey Me. @getlitaesthetic’s version is my main inspiration for this but sometimes I make it just a bit lighter. Please check her tumblr out if you’re into that! I’ll happily do HCs for any type of dark Obey Me AU. The only things I won’t write are: animal and child abuse.

Child!MC in the Devildom (gn) fluff :)

*I haven't written in a long time, so don't expect too much*

I've been seeing a lot of Child!MC HC lately and wanted to share my own take on how they would be treated by the Brothers and Undatables!

Mc was adopted by Solomon when they were only 3 years old (they are around 9 now,) no one really knows why or exactly HOW Solomon got hold of a human child, much less what happened to their birth-parents, but ever since then MC has been living with him and came to see him as their big brother, and since Solomon has to make regular visits to the Devildom due to his pacts, it was only a matter of time until he would bring MC with him. Needless to say everyone was a bit startled when one day a pair of doe-like eyes peaked out from under Solomons cape once he arrived.

Lucifer:

At first, the eldest was absolutely aggravated that Solomon dared to bring an unannounced visitor to the Devildom, much less A CHILD

he never thought highly of the wizard, but now he seriously overstepped a boundary

As he was making his was over to Solomon to lecture him, Demon-form already manifesting, the MC stepped out from behind Solomon and stood in Lucifers way, puffing out their chest and spreading their tiny arms.

Even though he would never admit it, Lucifer was impressed by their courage and a little intrigued to what more there was to this human child

It doesn't take long for him to warm up to them, as they are, compared to his brothers, an absolute delight to be around

It strokes his already gigantic ego to know that they respect him as an authority figure, which surprised him at first concidering who their legal guardian is

He doesn't have a lot of free time to spend with them, but he makes sure to buy them small gifts every time he sees them as their smile manages to melt even his cold heart

It is only after the MC returns to the human world that he notices how much he misses hearing their laughter around the house and he finds it hard to focus on his paper work

Mammon:

Not the biggest fan of them at first

He just doesn't see the appeal; Children are loud, bratty and have no common sense (even though at least 2 of those seem to apply to him as well)

He pretty much tries to avoid them, he's got better things to do!

But once he sees how easily they get what they want, even from people like Lucifer and Diavolo, he's hooked

From this moment on they become his partner in crime. He set up so many scams and business ideas involving the MC and both regularly get in trouble for it.

It gets to a point where he actively seeks them out to help him with his business (and maybe a little bit because he enjoys spending time with them)

The two of them mess around a lot

Mammon would be lying if he said he didn't tear up a little when the MC called him "the coolest older brother"

Probably the one that cried the most once they left

Keeps the "contract" the MC wrote for their little business, signed with hearts and their name written in colored pencils next to it, on his nightstand to remember them

Leviathan:

He absolutely does not want anything to do with them

Their grubby little hands would RUIN his figurines and he has no intention of spending time with them at first

But since he and Solomon are rather good friends, the MC would occasionally join them in his room

It was only when Levi noticed them admiring his TSL figurines that he even talked to them

When the MC told him that they had watched the show with Solomon he was more than keen to share his expert knowledge with them

They look at him with such admiration that even Levis low self esteem gets a little boost.

He starts to spend more time with them, playing games he deems suitable for kids and watching anime (most of which are absolutely not age appropriate but he's trying ok?)

Gifts them his first edition TSL Manga as a farewell present

Really misses their presence whenever he watches a show he knew they would have enjoyed

Satan:

From the second he layed eyes on this frail, tiny human Satan was intrigued

He was born a fully grown demon and therefore didn't have much of a childhood

So he dedicates his time to studying the human child and their behavior

But what really made him love the MC as much as his brothers do was when they asked him to read to them

It was late evening and Solomon had some errands to run, which he did not want them to get involved in, so he left the MC with the brothers, knowing they would take care of them

A tiny knock echoed through Satans room when the MC peaked their head through the door, a small book in clutch

A little embarrassed they told him that they could not fall asleep without their favorite bedtime story and, since Satan always seems to read, they came to him

It was a children's book about cats, with adorable illustrations on the pages, so of course he agreed to read to them

The MC climbed onto his lap and it was only once Satan finished reading that he noticed them fast asleep in his arms

they looked so peaceful in their sleep that, even if only for a moment, his inner wrath seemed to vanish too

After the MC leaves to return to the human world he buys a copy of said book for himself to read whenever he misses them

Asmodeus:

It was love at first sight for Asmo

He couldn't wait to use their adorable little face for cloud on his devilgram!

When he overhears them say they wish they were pretty just like him he absolutely snaps!

No berating your appearance in earshot of Asmo!

Man went on a shopping spree with them and probably bought them a whole new wardrobe

From that day on he becomes the MCs personal stylist with the mission of making them feel beautiful each and every day

Quietly cries in his wardrobe while keeping their favorite clothes close to him whenever he misses them

Beelzebub:

Genle giant is gentle

Once he got over his initial whim of eating them

It is not his fault! They looked so soft and tender that he could not help it!

But after a lot of convincing and threats from his brothers and Solomon he is trusted to watch them too

Beel is great with kids, always listening to their stories while he eats

Once he figures out the MC has a massive sweet tooth he constantly goes to all kinds of cafés and restaurants with them to try every desert in the entire Devildom, much to the dismay of Lucifer

Of course it didn't take long for the MC to experience an absolute sugar high, running around and jumping on the furniture in the house of Lamentation

Beel pays little thought to that and simply joins them, playing tag and having a pillow fight (though he had to be very careful to not accidentally whack the child across the room, they are very frail after all)

Once they came down from their high Beel lets them sit on his shoulders, carrying them back to Solomon to take care of them

Once they returned to the human world Beel felt really sad, even loosing his appetite for a whole week!

He cannot eat the MCs favorite food anymore, as he swore to himself to only eat it together with them the next time he sees them

Belphegor:

He absolutely despised the idea of Solomon bringing another human to the Devildom, much less a child

but when he saw them look up at him with their big sparkly eyes he can't deny that he finds them adorable

They would break so easily, he wouldn't even have to use his demon strength!

Of course he doesn't follow through with that, realizing very quickly that most of his brothers, most importantly Beel seem to be very attached to the tiny human

He is not awake for most of the day so he only occasionally gets to join Beel and the MC in one of their culinary excursions

But one day he wakes up to find the MC curled up next to him, something inside him changed that day

get ready for nap time with Belphie

always makes sure to leave enough room for them to join him

sings them lullabies when they have a hard time falling asleep or when they wake up after a nightmare

Strokes their hair affectionately

Misses their warmth when they return to the human world

sings himself lullabies to try and get rid of that dreadful empty feeling he feels whenever he goes to bed and realizes that the MC is not there

Diavolo:

Overjoyed is an understatement

He can learn so much from this little human!

Always invites them and Solomon for afternoon tea to his castle

Literally the MCs biggest hypeman

genuinely interested in everything they tell him (he kinda is a big child himself)

Could not believe when they told him a boy from their school had once scribbled all over their drawing

HOW DARE HE DO SUCH THING

It took Barbatos a lot of patience and persistence to stop the Demon-prince from personally cursing that boy

Cried when they watched finding Nemo together and the MC had to comfort him by telling him that it was just a movie

probably spoils them more than Lucifer already is

They got him wrapped around their tiny fingers

Takes them on excursions throughout the whole Devildom

Absolutely deviated when they explain that they have to go back to the human realm for school

But don't worry, he'll sneak out and visit them often in the human world

Between all of his riches lies a photo album with all the pictures he took during the MCs time in the Devildom, and if you asked him he'd probably say it's his most valuable possession

Barbatos:

Feels pretty indifferent about them at first

But as Diavolos most loyal servant he is to make sure the MCs every need is met

Is pretty good with kids due to his master acting like one at times

His relationship with the MC doesn't go deeper than that though: they ask for something, he provides, simple as that.

It is only after the MC joined him and Luke in one of their baking lessons that he develops a personal attachment to them

The way they stood, covered in flour with a batch of freshly-made cupcakes, a huge smile adorning their face, he felt like a proud father

cares even more about their needs now and will always make sure they don't get hurt

When they return home, albeit he feels a bit sad, he very quickly falls back into his old routine, he has got duties to attend to after all

He will however, check on them through one of his portals from time to time to make sure they are ok

On some days, random lunch boxes might appear in the MCs room, since Barbatos can absolutely not live with the thought of this poor child having to eat Solomons cooking every single day

Simeon:

Bless his heart

Of course once he got wind that a human child had entered the Devildom he made it his duty to protect them at all costs

He is surprisingly strict, snatching them up and out of one of Mammons schemes more than once

Makes sure they get a proper education while away from school

Of course makes them read the Bible

He is like a strict but loving mom

Though it can be overbearing at times the MC loves him deeply and gifts him a drawing of them both as a farewell gift

Simeon will treasure it forever

Rather than feel sad about their absence he smiles while reminiscing about all the fun memories they've shared

Luke:

prides himself on being taller and older than the MC

Acts like their personal protector even though he can't do much

Spend a lot of time together since they are the one closest to his (physical) age (which I believe to be around 12?)

Might or might not have developed a tiny childhood crush on them (completely pure dw)

Bummed when they both return to their respective realms

Works even harder on becoming a respected angel in order to become MCs new guardian angel

Solomon:

You might expect him to be quite wreckless, but he's actually very protective and strict with the MC

Cares for them deeply, as they only have each other

While he did teach them basic magic and a few defense spells, he refuses to teach them anything more advanced

He knows how dangerous magic can be and he doesn't want them to get hurt

While he did achieve eternal life through magic, he also lost a big part of his humanity because of it and he doesn't want the MC to suffer the way he did

Tries to be the best older brother he can

Kind of relieved once they return to the human world

While he is glad that everyone seems to love the MC so dearly he's more than happy to have them all to himself again

He is their legal guardian after all! And no one will ever love them as much as he does.

I might be stupid, I just realised why manga Mammon is nicer to MC pre-pact than game Mammon

Y'know Mammon who baby talks cats and volunteers at a human world dog shelter and coos over panda videos and cries during nature documentaries........

Y'know how in the manga he says he'll protect MC till the end of the year but also says he's not going to find a way to turn them human again....

Man's seeing a cute fluffly lil' sheep when he talks to MC and that's making him nicer and making him actually put effort into protecting MC whereas game Mammon's just dealing with some random full grown human and has no time for it

“Sometimes Lucifer can be a bit of an asshole!.” I ranted, squishing the pillow angrily. “You got that right.” Satan and Belphegor agreed, continuing to do their usual activities. That being either reading a book, or laying down.

“You know what? You should ignore him for a few days! That will definitely annoy him!” Belphegor suggested, a playful yet evil smirk planted on his face. “You think that will work?” Satan questioned, finally putting his book down, clearly interested.

“I’ll try it!”

🚻(Y/N)’s P.O.V🚻 (Point of View):

And just like that I tried to at least ignore lucifer for a week, constantly hanging out with his brothers just to make him a bit jealous.

I joked around with Mammon playfully teasing him on the modeling offer. “Come on (Y/N) just this once! I promise this modeling thing will get us a lot of grimm!” Mammon persuaded, although failing miserably. “I don’t know about that Mammon~” I teased back, enjoying how worked up he was getting.

Just then Lucifer walks out of his study, making his way towards me and Mammon. “Sorry (Y/N) gotta go!” Mammon immediately shouted, running off. I quickly heard Lucifer whisper under his breath.

“Cerberus fetch.” Suddenly Cerberus jumps over Lucifer, chasing after Mammon. Passing by a few of the brothers, leaving them confused. “(Y/N), we need to have a little talk.” Lucifer mumbles into my ear, giving it a quick bite, before trapping me against the wall, keeping direct eye contact.

I feel my cheeks heat up, before nodding wanting to get this over with. He quickly drags me to his study. I stood in front of his desk while he sat down, looking at me. “You know why we fight, right?” Lucifer spoke up, crossing his leg with the other, while resting his face on top of his hand.

I nod my head, agreeing. “Hmh.”

“Because we love each othe-'' Before Lucifer could finish his sentence, I quickly cut him off, surprising him. “Because you say stupid stuff.”

We stared at each other in silence, slightly glaring. He lets out a sigh, before grasping the bridge of his nose, clearly irritated. “I’m sorry.” Lucifer finally apologizes. “For what?” I continued hoping to actually get a proper apology. “For not giving you enough attention.” Lucifer sighed out, his position not changing. “And?”

“I love and adore you.” Lucifer finally finished, his crimson coloured eyes pleading for forgiveness. After a bit of thought, I decided to forgive him. “Fine, I forgive you.” I gave in, walking over to him, moving a few of his ebony coloured strands out of his forehead, before planting a soft kiss.

In return he pulled me over to his lap, so that I could sit on it. I shuffled a bit, clearly embarrassed. “Calm down. I just want to be with you right now. I didn’t get to be with you for a whole week.” Lucifer reasoned, starting to sign a few pages of paper work.I nod, getting comfortable before starting to doze off.

I immediately got woken up from my sleep, from what I assumed to be Mammon screaming. I raise my head up from Lucifer’s desk, trying to see what all the commotion was about.

Right before me I see Cerberus biting on Mammon’s white shirt, lifting him up. “Hey! No! Let me down! You’re getting dog drool on my shirt! Hey, Stop it!” Mammon tried to desperately warn Cerberus, although failing.

Lucifer sat me down on his chair seeing that I was still groggy from being woken up. Before leaving to take care of Mammon, he takes off his black coat and lays it on top of me, making sure I don’t get cold. I softly smile at him, before going back to sleep.

‘He’s probably going to tie Mammon from the ceiling again.’ I thought to myself, before getting comfortable on the chair, waiting for Lucifer to come back so that we could cuddle.

“Hey! (Y/N), Don’t just go back to sleep! Come and help me!”
