⚠ MS MARVEL 106 SPOILERS ⚠

Alright…

I honestly was not expecting much of this episode but since Iman said it was good, I decided to believe it was.

And i was not disappointed. Like, the first thing we see is Kamala's family supporting her, her mom giving her a suit. Ms. Marvel's suit. I'm sorry if I'm emotional.

Nakia calls her asking if she's known something about Bruno, she says no and goes looking for him.

I liked that joke with the red light. Ngl.

Nakia, you're a hero and I love you. How you had everyone showing their id's to DC. Nice.

I also loved that disguise reference with the caps. They only needed a pair of shades and they would be unrecognizable.

Zoe joining them was something I did not expect but liked.

Wait a gOD DAMN MINUTE! Deever was told to back down. She got a call specifically to be told that. And she didn't!! She decided to fully attack kids hiding in a school. She even called the special unit!

I also did not expect Zoe going live for her followers to help, even less having those following actually helping.

I just-- I really liked those sonic weapons DC had.

I hated with all my heart that almost kiss between Kamala and Kamran. I hated that Bruno saw it, realizing he interrupted them.

Dude, when her power made it seem like her body expanded I was so excited.

And her, saving Kamran, buying him time so he could get out of there and to Kareem. Ily girl.

Also, those people running to her to create a wall between her and DC? Yes! We love to see that! Even the cops were in the front line!

And this f-ing agent was called out. Probably fired and I hope reported. I also hate her.

Bruno left this letter? inside a locker. I'm betting it is Kamala's locker and the letter says he's going to Calthec.

Kamala = Kamal = perfect = wonder = MARVEL. “Our little Ms. Marvel.” ajsñdkdñs.

That fRAME!! Just like the poster. Just like the cover. ✨ Art ✨

STOP EVERYTHING, Y'ALL!! THERE'S SOMETHING DIFFERENT IN KAMALA'S GENETICS. I THOUGHT BRUNO WOULD SAY “SOMETHING INHUMAN” BUT HE SAID “A MUTATION” AND IM SIRE I WOKE THE WHOLE BLOCK UP WOTH MY SCREAM.

I know we already had Professor Xavier in MOM, but now, in the 616 of the MCU, we have MUTANTS, LADIES AND GENTLEMEN.

I don't know if I'm totally okay with that post-credit? Like, I saw people saying Kate Bishop was gonna be there and I let myself believe it.

I also believed with all my heart there were gonna be some Skrulls and I was again disappointed.

But having Carol Danvers in Kamala's room, saying “Oh, no, no, no.” And bursting out of the picture was something I did not expect AT ALL. No what?

Edit: I just remembered one of Kamala's powers is polymorphism so it was not actually Carol in her room. I apologize. Xd

I really like Maddy's speech in the hot tub so why not do a fic about it? my bucky ones don't really get a lot of attention, but it felt easier to do this story line with bucky rather than steve or sam. also, this is an au where bucky is just a womanizing jerk that "settled down" but is like a typical military man. this isn't really one that follows the mcu timeline.

Zendaya anon I agree but other thing is her role in 3 marvel movies went from 4 minutes in Spiderman 1, 10 minutes in Spiderman 2 and maybe less than 20 minutes in the last one. They used her name and status to promote all 3 even though she wasn’t a lead in the first movie. Same with Dune she was in it for 2 minutes and her head was bigger than the leading lady on the poster and she promoted it as if she was the lead. I like Zendaya but I think everyone uses her to market projects and that’s it. She did well in euphoria but then again the push for her Emmy’s was really strange bts. Her team makes sure her PR strategies are solid and that her name is talked about and or trending once a month for even rumors she herself said are stupid. I don’t like how she goes about her fame it almost comes off as fake to me and any bad tweet or someone saying she was mean disappears so fast.

She shouldn’t have been in the [MCU] Spider-Man movies. Period. Nice observation!

@emcon-ocs 's Bat Out of Hell & Bat Out of Hell: Teenage Wasteland (MCU)

Willow Wren has got to be one of the most well-developed OCs I've ever read and @emcon-ocs creativity in not just their writing, but also in how they promote their fic, is just way beyond anything I've ever seen before from a fic writer. Like, they made a literal movie trailer for the sequel to Bat Out of Hell - which was epic btw and these super cool posters/covers that made me severely jealous because I lack the most basic editing and photoshop skills. Also I need to mention this meme because it was both hilarious as hell and depressing (if you know, you know). Anyway, they're not just a fantastic fic writer, but they put so much effort into promoting their fic and the talent and creativity and resourcefulness there is just admirable. Nothing but respect for @emcon-ocs , so check em' out!

2. @starknstarwars 's Smuggler's Run & Smuggler's Ruin (Star Wars)

@starknstarwars 's Smuggler's Saga borderlines on original work with how original and brilliantly thought out it is. I first got hooked onto their work when I was drawing up their commission for the main OC, Zallia Thane (of whom I worship the very ground she treads upon). All of the OCs from the Smuggler's Saga are well-developed, well-thought out and beautifully portrayed in the series, with complex motivations, values, struggles and personalities that make them equally relatable and engaging to read about. I am up to Smuggler's Ruin right now, but I have yet to catch up to the recent chapters so I suggest all of us take a page out of my book and BINGE NOW!

3. @summer-time 's Biography of an Angel (Harry Potter, Star Wars & Game of Thrones)

And of course, I could not do a fic rec without mentioning someone who's OC has become very dear to me and that's you, my dear @summer-time. Your Ian Moone has crossed time, space and dimensions and touched our favorite stories and characters, and that attention to detail, lore and plots is impressive considering you always stay true to Ian's tragic plight of never able to enjoy being part of these stories that she intervenes in, always having to move on to new worlds to save and new loves to fall for that she will inevitably leave behind in the end - it is all too reminicent of the pain of leaving behind our own childhood stories to live the real lives of adults. Take my advice ladies and gentlemen, read up on my dear @summer-time and her Bigography of an Angel

For the first time The Framchise quality start tour 25 stops no breaks shirt . since Avengers: Endgame, Mark Ruffalo's Hulk plays a central role in the MCU thanks to his appearance in the first episode of Marvel Studios' She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. This is a huge opportunity for the jolly green Avenger, as this character has a longer tenure in the MCU than nearly any other since the start of Phase 1 in 2008. Classic Men's Marvel Studios featured Mark Ruffalo's Hulk on his own poster as part of the promotional tour for She-Hulk: Attorney at Law on Disney+ The Framchise quality start tour 25 stops no breaks shirt . The poster shows Banner in his full Hulk form, donning a similar outfit to the one he wore as he helped Jen Walters figure out her own new powers as She-Hulk. This is also the first time that the Bruce Banner/Hulk has gotten his own official Marvel Studios poster since 2019's Avengers: Endgame. The hero has been highlighted in half a dozen total posters throughout the Infinity Saga. The enormous green rage monster kicked off his MCU tenure with 2008's The Incredible Hulk, the only MCU movie to feature Edward Norton in the leading role. This movie's poster highlighted the Jekyll & Hyde dynamic between Bruce Banner and his alter-ego, with Bruce facing forward in the front and the Hulk towering over him in the back. Ruffalo made his MCU debut in 2012's The Avengers, where he got his own poster as part of the original six members in the MCU's first team-up outing. 'Soviet Inspiration in Loki's Set Design' or (alternate title:) 'based TVA'

Some of the TVA's set design reminded me of communist - particularly soviet brutalist - architecture!

The statues of the Timekeepers seem to draw inspiration from

socialist realist statues (Left: 'Worker and Kolkhoz Woman', Right: Statue of Russian and Ukrainian worker). The statues seen in the courthouse also have a striking similarity to communist posters - both in the red and gold colour schemes, and the standing workers under a shining crest. (Left: Chinese 'Worker's Day' Poster, Right: Soviet Poster with the tagline 'Solemn Promise)

And now, here are the worst atrocities of movie marketing last year:

1. A Loud House Christmas (Stare at the poster and never take your eyes off at the reckless Photoshop imposing just from Lincoln’s face. This was their official poster!)

2. Apex (Bruce Willis looks like the Voldemort in Sorcerer’s Stone.)

3. Eternals (5-year-olds can do this minimalist teaser in MS Paint for a second.)

4. Home Sweet Home Alone (The bottom tagline is a clear warning.)

5. Intrusion (It’s like a bad photographer wanting Frieda Pinto to paste her face on a glass.)

6. Lady of the Manor (You can make a Reddit page to write all the things wrong in the poster.)

7. Spider-Man: No Way Home (Doctor Strange looks like he is holding in a fart. At least it is better than the poster for Far from Home.)

8. The Boss Baby: Family Business (No thanks!)

9. The Macaluso Sisters (Too many doves. And too many unfitting elements.)

10. The Misfits (Pierce Brosnan looks unnatural. And what is wrong with Nick Cannon’s chest? Also, grammatical error in the tagline. Where’s the period?)
