I am so sorry that I am being inconsistent in post regularly but I was so busy with family function for two days that I couldn't get enough time to post anything related to study (hell I even didn't get te to study) so I am posting with gaps but I promise to be regular about this atleast. I am finally free from all these family gatherings and functions so I have much time to study and post.

Things I did:

Modern history: writing notes (there's soon going to be checking of assignments so I have to complete that)

Indian Geography: India's population - Distribution, Density, Growth and Composition. -Lecture

I am sorry everyone. I will be inactive for a few months which may roll into 1 (or 2 years). I have decided it’s high time I start making a positive effort to achieve my dream of becoming an AIIMSonian and for doing so I need to minimize all distractions.

In order to do so I am going to sign out of Tumblr and hand my devices to my parents. I strongly believe that consistency and discipline are better than motivation and I can only attain it if I dissociate myself from the Internet wholly and push myself to my limits.

Thank you everyone for supporting me always. You all have helped me fall in love with the subject I used to fear the most, and have inspired me to keep going. But what I need now is not inspiration and motivation but self discipline. Wish me luck and I wish the studyblr community all the best for their academic journey too.

I will return only after I have made it to my dream college and I will return for sure. It’s a promise to myself and you all.

Sending love and well wishes to everyone one of you, who are my mutuals and who I follow or who follow me, or who have just stumbled upon my blog.

I will do it. I can do it. No matter what. That’s why, it’s not a goodbye. It’s a see you in a while :))

Getting My Ideal Life Together: Vision Board Challenge 👀

In which I indulge myself a little bit ☺️ It is the weekend after all 😌

I've never liked making a vision board before because it always had the opposite effect of making everything I thought I wanted feel so out of reach. But looking through my camera roll a lot more since I started this blog, I've come to realize just how many of the things I want are already in my life. Maybe not consistently, maybe very rarely, but they're there, and I think compiling them all in one place will help me live more according to what is truly important to me.

Best Zest™️ is someone who:

Takes time to care for her appearance because she puts value in herself and how she feels. (This includes everything from exercise to skincare.)

Goes exploring only to end up in a bookstore, taking pictures of books for her TBR list. (The book will get read. It's only a matter of time.)

Can afford to buy lots of good food to share with her loved ones and is fully present at all mealtimes. (Also enjoys snacks at healthy intervals.)

Regularly takes time to appreciate nature, art, and the little things in life. (Hobbies include photography, going on walks, and listening to music.)

Maybe it's because I've been future-self journaling lately, but I'm starting to see the importance of being able to articulate who you want to be. Personally, I tend to lose myself a lot to external demands, so if I have a clear list, I feel better equipped to protect the best version of myself to be and be around.

💌: Anyways, I know on studyblr a lot of us focus our posts around what we do day to day as a source of motivation, but I find looking to the future me to also be very (if not more) motivating. I'm too shy to turn this into a whole actual challenge/tag game 🙈 but if you're somehow still reading this, I'm rooting for you to give it a try! Whether you decide to post it or not, I hope it helps you keep a north star, especially as things get busier closer to the year-end ❤️

19/11/22 - Saturday Nov 19rd.

went for ice cream with a friend yesterday. it was really tasty, mine was peanut flavored and it really tasted like peanuts bcs the ice cream is like artisanal. it was great. haha while i didnt work, i had a hearty chat with my younger sister. im grateful we can have chats about feelings and worry that we cant have with out parents out of fear of judgement.

Day 17: What misconceptions do people have about your area of study? that its simple and that anyone with a pinterest and some photoshop knowledge can do it. you clearly see lackluster and poorly done projects that are tecnically very bad or that have been so long in the market and its just pretty that people just roll with it. i remember someone in a store telling a couple of arquitecture students that design shouldnt really be a major since it was so easy. 'just take an online course isntead' as if the banner of her store wasnt the most hideous logo ive seen for an art supplies shop.

New year, new attempt at using this blog

Being back in school has really impacted my language learning efforts -- mostly by narrowing my focus to Norwegian for a while now! I've only got one semester of my Norwegian class left though, and I want to set myself up to not lose what I've learned (and focus on some other languages in the latter half of the year!)

I really want to get back to studying Gaelic and Irish again (Maybe 2023 will be the year I finally finish the Gaelic Duolingo course?), and preferably get up the courage to join in the voice chats in the one Celtic language Discord server I'm in again! And both German and Yiddish are tugging at my interest again (maybe a little bit because of playing Pentiment; it's fine... it's fine)

I think I'm also going to try to work with the school business instead of against it. With me starting to really refine my academic interests (biology, but also concentrations in history of science and maybe cultural studies to build myself a nice little scicomm-focused interdisciplinary biology degree?), turning this blog into a little bit more of a studyblr as opposed to just a langblr feels like it will get me posting more often, since I have a lot of other classes I'm excited about this next semester, too!

TL;DR -- Still aiming to be mostly a language blog, but there's going to be some other academic nonsense (especially history of science). I might try a new intro post and/or langblr or studyblr activation challenge to get things rolling again.

Here's hoping I get posting here a bit more often!

Ok so I’ve been gone whoops

Heeeey studyblr how ya doing? I guess this kind of post is a dime a dozen but I fell off the wagon with recording my study and work shenanigans since things got rolling

And that’s ok! I probably will again. What matters is the resilience I have to pick a project back up again. Will try to make my next post picking up where I left off on 100 days of productivity like there was never a gap

Storyboarding class, coding and writing classes are doing great progress and I’ll be sharing updates here too coz they’re relevant. They’re also kicking my butt in terms of time

My internship is also getting great feedback for my storyboards (also time consuming)

Making great progress with emdr which also makes me low energy for half of the week

Body healing from getting pcos and insulin resistance treated. Just got booked for an obgyn to investigate pcos properly and I’m being fitted for a sleep apnea mask. Also seeing optom this week and dentist next week as well as checkups- I post most of this on my fitness Reddit but might start like a Fitbilr blog

Practitioner for general counseling quest continues… ugh I’ll have to push myself to call tomorrow.

Work got busy but very rewarding, it’s the biggest reason why I haven’t published much online since but I’m not losing out

Thanks to my job I got my two tv appearances this month! Once on a Korean reality tv show called k lunch tray and I’m also getting my own segment on the college tour

Work also sent me out to tons of cool places around Los Angeles and I even got to table at the convention center for my college! I also helped run a few promotional days for new college recruits that was like a whole hands in process

I’ve been fortunate to get a lot of stuff paid for by my college so representing it isn’t going to be hers

Studyblr introduction!!!

Dear Studyblr, hello! I’m new and like almost everyone in this community I decided to create this study blog to find some motivation in my studies + life in general.

name: Anna

pronouns: she/her

nationality: Italian and Italy based

studying: I’m in the third (and last!) year of my bachelor's, studying languages and literature, mostly English and German

languages: my mother tongue is Italian but I’m fluent in English and am studying German and Portuguese at uni. I can mostly understand French and Spanish and have previously studied Latin and Ancient Greek (don’t ask).

goals: the final boss goal is to become a published author. The goal for right now is to get good grades in my classes so I can get into the master degree of my choice.

Finally applied for a prospective summer job. I don’t have high hopes of getting called back but writing a CV for the first time was still an interesting project. I also read a bit, studied German a bit and visited the cutest cafe on our street with some friends before we all drift apart for the summer. All in all, a very fun day.

So (sorry for getting a little sad here) my cousin got in a bad accident a few weeks ago and he has now gone 100% deaf in one ear and 50% in the other so I want to try and learn sign language because we're really close. Do you know of any tips or any other blogs that would be of any help? Thanks!!
