Another day of gloomy weather and headache. I’ve been making mind maps for my test on antibiotics since 7 a.m. and it’s the best moment for a little break.
These are two of my favourite spots in my bedroom! First, my desk, the place where I spend most of the day (studying and doing homework, but also drawing or playing video games). And then, you can see my manga collection that’s getting bigger day by day. Do you collect any mangas? I’m waiting for the two first volumes of Haikyuu to arrive this month and, next month, the first two volumes of Tokyo Revengers will be out too! I’m really excited about it 🥺👏🏻
If you're reading this - Hey! 👋🏽 Hope you're doing well & it's good to see you again! 🙆🏽♀️ I've realised I've been MIA for the over six months now & thought I should fill y'all on my life in the past few months before I start posting again - I say this every time but every time I end up not posting for months. Anyways, here's my lil' life update:
In the past few months or so, I've started with my Year 4. Can you believe it? I'm still in awe about everything's that happening & am honestly - truly grateful. This year, I started off with Orthopaedics, Emergency Medicine and Paediatrics - more on this to come in the near future. Currently, I'm in my surgery rotation. With the pandemic slowly turning into an endemic, I've been given the opportunity to use teaching hospitals more. Thus, have been spending more of my time during the day visiting patients, clerking and examining cases on a day-to-day basis.
Besides, starting a new semester - I also decided to join a society - Malaysian Students' Surgical Society - Facebook & Instagram. I signed up for this sometime in December of last year & received the results of the interview earlier this year. Fortunately, I have been given the role as a Graphic Design Executive, which I am extremely grateful for. I've actually had a few of my work up on the society's IG page already, so if you'd like to view & support - my designs are "CNY" & "Meet the Team". If you'd like to see more of my creative-side (which I guess I rarely show on here), be sure to follow me on Instagram, usually would be posting behind the scene photos of my work & design process on there.
In addition to joining a society, my friends and I have decided to start our very own surgical society at Taylor's, which is the Taylor's University Surgical Society - something I've been extremely proud of. We've definitely been working hard on planning the events and activities we've got for the year. Be sure to follow us - Instagram & Facebook - to stay up to date with our latest events and activities. 🌾
🎞️ Lastly, here's a little snippet of what we have in store for the rest of the year :
Exam season is upon us ;-; and part of the reason for my absence (the other reasons being I’ve been sick on and off for awhile and busy with schoolwork) classes end for me this coming Wednesday and my first exam (Psych) is on Friday! When do you have exams? Here are some study tips for the final exam period as we move into mid December: 1. Revise in small chunks. It’s impossible to reread a whole book in one or two sittings, so instead look through materials provided by your professor such as PowerPoint slides that have condensed information, and use the book chapters to supplement your studying 2. Look through your notes. Actively revise or rewrite the notes you took in class in order to understand and retain the information 3. Study a little each day. Cramming is exhausting and generally won’t help with exams, especially if it’s on a large amount of material, instead, come up with a study schedule in order to keep yourself from burning out and allowing time for breaks 4. If you have them, use accommodations. In education the kinds of accommodations can range from use of a computer to type answers, to extended time, taking exams in a quiet area, to speech to text or other software. Since exams can be tough, if you have a plan set up, request accommodations if you feel you’ll find them helpful 5. Get adequate rest and hydration before finals. This should generally apply even outside of the realm of finals, but making sure you have good sleep and drink enough will be helpful in ensuring you’re able to function well, so don’t stay up all night cramming, get some sleep! #studygram #study #studymotivation #studywithme #studyaccount #exam #exams #examstress #examseason #exampreparation #studytips #studydesk #studystagram #studyblr #studyblrsquad #bujo #bujoinspiration #bujocommunity #bujoinspire #bujoweekly #finalsweek #university #unistudent #finalexams #finalseason #studyspo #studyspace #studysession #studytime #selfcare (at Boston, Massachusetts) https://www.instagram.com/p/CXEnXSrumXs/?utm_medium=tumblr
2.5 years of intense hard work, of nights and days and nights again spent working , of piles and piles of questions solved and stacks of notes revised till the edges frayed, of all the tears shed and wiped off, all have led to today where those 3 hours decide my future. i hope i dont let myself down. i hope i do justice to myself. i CAN do this. i WILL do this. i AM capable. i WILL ace this.

trying to write three final papers at the same time, all while also trying to study for a mid term during the hardest, most intense burn out i’ve ever felt feels practically impossible. never mind actually dealing with smaller assignments and keeping up with class readings so I can actually participate..... how do we do it, folks?
new weekly spread :) spent the morning in my backyard bullet journalling in efforts to motivate myself to do my work for civics. I've had difficulty with having enough discipline to get my work done lately, so hoping this new layout can help.
