Thrown - Chapter 15: Earthen
Summary: Loki and Thor are perplexed by one of your studio practices. Loki attends a demonstration and does what he can to get on your nerves.
Word Count: 2,136
Author's Note: Guys, I don't know why but everybody spends this whole chapter talking about clay. I tried to get them to do something else, I really did. They insisted on the clay. If you can just bear with me, I promise in next week's chapter nobody mentions clay at all. Not even once.

Today was one of those days when Thor and Loki were destined to run into you. They were returning from the town and had just caught you in your field while moving between your buildings. Now they stood on the outside of your wall while you and your dog leaned on it from the inside. Thor was ruffling Ash's fur when he asked after your plans for the day.
"Just working, really. Gonna throw some stuff later but first I have to make clay." Thor exchanged a quick, perplexed look with Loki. "You have to make clay?" "Yeah. You know... for the pottery?" Thor rolled his eyes. "Yes, but it was my understanding that it was dug out of the earth." "Oh, true, it can be, and some people do use that stuff for pottery. But if you make it yourself you know you're getting the same thing every single time. It's more consistent. Plus it's cheaper to buy the ingredients in bulk, in the long run." "Fascinating." Thor turned to Loki. "She manufactures clay." "I'm not surprised." Loki responded blithely. "Humans are always complicating what should be simple." It was your turn to roll your eyes. "It's not complicated. Actually, I was about to get to it. I can give you boys a demonstration, if you want." You gestured toward your studio. "Ah, I'm afraid I do not have the time today." Thor answered regretfully. "My schedule is full." "I'd like to see it." Loki piped up. You looked slightly surprised. "Really?" "Yes, I'm interested to see how a human manifests earth." You laughed. "You guys are really making a much bigger deal out of this than it is." "You must tell me how it's done." Thor said to Loki, seemingly ignoring your remark. "I'll give you a full report on the machinations of a clay-maker when I return." Loki was moving to open the gate. "Okay guys, this is a little ridiculous. It's seriously not that interesting." "A full report." Loki said in a serious tone to a grinning Thor.
Thor bid the two of you goodbye as you led Loki across the grass to the back door of your studio, with Ash following behind. "Ash, bed." You pointed and the dog obediently walked to the cushion near your throwing wheel and laid down.
You brought Loki to the adjacent room he'd seen before, the one that held the deep sink and the machinery. He now saw that in addition to the machines and the sink, there were several shelves filled with sacks, boxes, and bins, and there was a second door in the back wall. All of this clutter made the room seem much smaller than it actually was.
You closed the door and handed him a small box. "Here, this one's brand new." Then you took something off a hook on the wall, which turned out to be a mask that you slipped on over your nose and mouth. Loki looked down at the box you handed him, it had the same type of mask inside. He at you skeptically. You slipped the mask down to speak. "What, are you going to tell me that gods don't have lungs?" "Well, certainly not frail ones like you mortals." "Wear the mask." You said firmly. "I'm not going be responsible for the first ever case of Asgardian Silicosis." You pulled your mask back into place and gave him a pointed stare until he put his mask on as well.
You pulled out a metal bucket from one of the shelves and set it on the floor. Your voice was muffled as you pointed to a piece of paper taped to the wall, it listed portions of ingredients. Loki recognized some of the words, like "feldspar" or "silica". However, he was certain that "grog" was not a real word. There were other papers taped to the wall, presumably recipes for other clays, they each had some strange name at the top. You moved around the room scooping various powders out of the bags and bins, checking their weights on a scale before dumping them into the bucket. You then handed Loki a flat wooden paddle and instructed him to mix the ingredients. At least, he was pretty certain that's what you asked, your voice was muffled. As he mixed you began filling a bucket with water in the sink, weighing it, and pouring it into the machine against the wall.
This machine had a deep round basin that came up to your waist, with metal arms inside. You poured the measured water into the basin then pulled out a plastic tub that he recognized. It was full of very wet clay, the items you had thrown but were rejected and tossed aside. He could see what looked like the remnants of a mug resting on the surface, slowly disintegrating. You took several handfuls of this clay and tossed it into the basin, closed the lid, and turned the machine on. The metal arms inside began rotating, mixing the contents. You took the bucket of dry materials from Loki and began slowly pouring it into the basin through an open grate on the lid. The mixture inside gradually became thicker.
Once the bucket was empty you motioned Loki to follow you out of the room, and you shut the door behind him. You pulled down your mask, and let it hang around your neck. "See? Not that big of a deal." Loki removed his mask as well. "Yes, and far more complicated than needed, as expected." "It's not complicated! You take some dry stuff and mix it with wet stuff!" "Your planet creates clay for you and rather than use that you've built a machine to combine the individual components of clay manually." "This clay is more specific. It's better for pottery." "We had plenty of fine pottery on Asgard with none of this foolishness." You rolled your eyes and began setting up your work station at your wheel. "Yes, I forgot how superior Asgard was." "Well, at least you're learning." You scoffed.
Loki leaned a shoulder against the wall. "Is that it, then?" "It has to mix for a few minutes then I'll take it out. Pretty much it, though." "A little anticlimactic." "I told you!" There was just the edge of playful frustration in your voice. "You made it all seem so mysterious and enigmatic." Loki held back a smirk as he teased. You shook your head contemptuously. "Yeah, well, that's basically it. You can go home now." "No, I must see it through to the end. I promised Thor a full report." Another eye roll as you continued setting up.
Several minutes had passed, your work station was ready. You pulled out a large plastic tub with a lid and carried it to the door for the clay room. Loki followed.
You turned to him with your hand on the doorknob. "Everything should be settled. You won't need your mask this time." "I doubt I needed it the first time." You waved dismissively. "Yeah, yeah, yeah."
You opened the door and carried the plastic tub over the the machine which was still steadily churning its contents. You shut it off and lifted the lid. The basin was now filled with grey clay.
You reached in and tested the material. "Yep, looks good."
You set the tub on the floor, removed the lid, and opened a plastic bag inside it. Then you reached into the basin of the machine, removing large handfuls of clay and depositing them into the bin. You continued this process for some time, stretching and straining to reach all the clay in the basin, removing the portions stuck to the mixing arms, scraping the walls. This, Loki realized, must have been what you were doing the day he and Thor found you covered in clay. Between reaching into the machinery and unceremoniously dropping the clay into the tub, your arms and clothes were thoroughly muddied, with stray smears and flecks on your face and hair. Even Loki had to take a step back to remain clean.
Once the clay was cleared from the basin you twisted the plastic bag closed and sealed the lid on the tub. You then began dragging the tub across the floor and out into the main room. It made an awful scraping noise and Loki quickly picked up the other side to put an end to the sound. You gave him a strained thanks as the two of you carried the tub to the back of the main room. There were wooden shelves built into the wall holding similar bins. With a grunt you heaved the tub up onto a shelf, then you took a marker and wrote the name of the clay and today's date on a piece of tape stuck to the side of the bin.
You brushed your hands against one another, not that it did anything to clean them, and gave Loki a satisfied smile. "Ta-da. Done." "You aren't going to use the clay?" "Sure, eventually." You returned to your wheel at the front of the room and took a seat. "It has to age first. There's bacteria in the clay and as they grow and die the clay becomes more pliable. I kick-start it a little bit by adding old clay to the mix but you still want to wait at least six months before using it." "Interesting." Loki leaned against the wall while you began working clay on the wheel. "You're exploiting the labor of millions of creatures." "All in all, I think they probably get to live pretty good lives, for bacteria."
He watched as you transformed a lump of clay into a bowl. "Do you ever tire of the repetition?" You thought about it for a moment, eyes focused on the spinning clay in your hands. "No, not really. I find it soothing." He had a hard time disagreeing as he watched you work. You cut this bowl free and inspected it. "Anyway, even if it's the same motions it still feels different every time." You set the bowl aside and gathered a new portion of clay. "You never know what the clay's going to do. How it will react." He took a seat in the chair propping open the door, leaning back and stretching his legs out. "You speak of it as if it's alive." "It is." You stated firmly. "Weren't you listening? I just said so a minute ago." He chuckled. "Forgive me."
He watched you conjure another bowl out of nothing. And then another. He continued asking the occasional question and you seemed quite happy to answer. At some point a concern crossed his mind.
"Am I distracting you from your work?" You smiled without looking up from your current project. "No, not at all. Gerdy and I used to talk and throw. We'd pass hours that way." The second, unused wheel suddenly seemed much more prominent in the room. Had it always taken up so much space? "It's been nice to have company while working." Your voice snapped him back to the present. "If you ever want to learn to throw I'd be happy to teach you. I promise not to go all Ghost on you." His brows furrowed. "What do spirits have to do with pottery?" You laughed. "Oh. Right. Nevermind." Loki gathered that there was a joke he had missed. "I'm sorry to say that I can't stay much longer. We are helping Gillison move his family to new accommodations this afternoon." "That's alright. I've still got Ash for company." You glanced at the dog laying on his cushion. His tail thumped in response to his name being mentioned. "He doesn't seem like he's much for dialogue." Loki said. "Maybe, but he never disagrees with me, either."
There were several more minutes of conversation, you had questions about the move and how the construction had been going. Eventually, Loki stood. "Now I have to inform Thor of how greatly you misled us regarding the excitement of clay making." You threw a small lump of clay at him with surprising accuracy. He caught it easily, of course, but it still left him with clay on his hands. "Hah!" You said victoriously. "That was entirely uncalled for." He dropped the lump on the floor and tried to shake his hand free of the remnants. "You are pushing my buttons and you know it." "I don't know what you're talking about. First you lure me here with this false grandeur of clay making-" "You guys are the ones who made a big deal out of it!" "Only because you made it seem so mysterious and intrig-" He quickly ducked out the door, a second ball of clay missed its mark and hit the floor.

I imagine he has his limits and it would seem you've successfully pushed him to it.
He was a patient man. He had to be when dealing with Tomura most of the time. According to him, he's been dealing with Shigaraki since he was but a small child. Based from what anyone could see, it was not an easy thing to do. This is why you'd decided to take it upon yourself to conduct a little experiment on him. You spent each day for the better half of the week teasing him as much as you could possible do. His patience didn't seem to ever waver which made you a little disappointed in your efforts. Each slow touch, every wink, and all the little unfinished kisses hadn't seemed to have any kind of effect on him. At least not to your knowledge...
However, he'd proved you wrong once he'd finally found some time alone with you.
He cornered you in your shared bedroom, creating a makeshift cage by placing an arm on either side of your head as his hands are placed on the wall beside you. He stared you down, waiting until he'd finally decided on which words to speak. "You've become so brave my dear. I can't say that I'm very fond of it. Your behavior has been questionable in the past few days. I'm afraid to say you've riled me up in more ways than one and I have to respectfully ask you to stop." You couldn't help but to laugh a little at him. "I spent a week trying to turn you own and you're still being respectful to me?" If only you could see him smirk beneath the thickened mist covering his face when you said that. "Oh no my dear, you've gotten it all wrong. I fully intend to punish you for this. How else otherwise can I expect to get the point across?"
It comes as a surprise he keeps you up all night, and even more of a surprise that he's got plans for tomorrow as well. Let's hope you don't regret your actions any time soon.

“I think I’m going to pass out,”
“Okay, you’re being a little bit dramatic.” Zoey rubbed Seungcheol’s back. He’d been sitting on the side of the bathtub for twenty minutes, threatening to pass out.
To be entirely fair, her forced calm was mostly for her benefit, and she was absolutely freaking out on the inside.
“You’re 100% sure?” He asked for the eighth time. “You didn’t miscount or something?”
Zoey shook her head. “I have an app. It does all the counting for me.”
“Oh my god.”
“Once again, let’s just take some deep breaths.”
He sat up suddenly, nearly toppling over and into the tub. “How are you so calm? You might be pregnant, Zo. This is serious.”
She sighed. He was right, of course, and she
“I know it is. But we don’t know for sure yet.”
When she’d woken up that morning without getting her period, she had finally decided to clue Seungcheol int
o the worries that had been on her mind for almost a week. She was rarely late for her period, and she had never skipped one. But here she was, eight days late. And it wouldn’t have been that big of a cause for concern if she wasn’t sexually active (and very proud of it).
However, Seungcheol was taking the news of the possibility of her pregnancy with no small amount of shock.
“I feel dizzy again,” He declared.
“Well, stop it,” Zoey sighed. “We have to do a test, so we don’t know—”
A knock sounded at the door.
Seungcheol sat up straight. “Did you order food?”
“No,” Zoey scoffed. “It’s Changkyun. Come in!”
They heard the beeping of the key pad.
“Zo, I really don’t feel like entertaining right now. We need to get a test and take care of this.” Seungcheol stood, his legs looking shakier than Zoey would have liked. “How the hell are you so calm right now?”
Zoey shrugged, not really sure of the answer herself. “I don’t know. There’s no point stressing about something that isn’t confirmed yet.”
“You guys here!” Changkyun’s voice called from their living room.
Zoey hurried out of the bathroom, Seungcheol stumbling along behind her.
Changkyun was unpacking a plastic bag onto their kitchen counter, his hair tied up in a messy ponytail thing on top of his head. He was wearing sweatpants and a t-shirt, with his mask still pulled up over his face. Overall, he looked like someone who hadn’t planned on leaving their house.
“I got chocolate and stuff too,” He was saying, “Because I don’t really know the protocol for all of this.”
“Protocol for what?” Seungcheol asked, still not sure why Zoey had invited him over on a day like today.
Changkyun pulled a little pink box out of the bag, chucking across the counter to Zoey. “Pregnancy, obviously.”
Seungcheol glared at his girlfriend. “You told him?”
Zoey paused from opening the box (that Seungcheol now realized contained a pregnancy test), and looked up at him with wide eyes. “Umm…yes? We needed a pregnancy test.”
“But he—” Seungcheol froze. “When did you call him?”
“Like an hour ago. But I was kind of expecting it since she’d been freaking out about missing her period.” Changkyun turned to rumage through their fridge.
Seungcheol dropped onto one of the kitchen stools. “You told him before you told me?”
“He was kind of just along for the ride,” Zoey gave him an apologetic look. “I always let him know when I get my period and stuff. He’s my bestie.”
Unwilling to criticze his annoying but possible-pregnant girlfriend, Seungcheol turned to Changkyun. “I hate you.”
Unbothered, Changkyun continued to grab some snacks and a carton of juice.
“Great. Well, you two sort that out and I’m going to go….do this.” Zoey actually looked a little nervous as she retreated to the bathroom.
Seungcheol sat their in silence, contemplating all of his life choices as his girlfriend’s groupmate began toasting a bagel in their toaster.
Taking a swig right out of the carton, Changkyun studied him. “You know if she’s pregant Shownu’s going to kill you right?”
Seungcheol smacked his face into his hands. “You think I don’t know that?”
“And Kihyun….he’ll probably bring you back to life just to kill you again.”
Seungcheol screamed into his hands.
“Are you scaring my boyfriend?” Zoey emerged from the bathroom, going to wrap her arms around Seungcheol’s slumped soldiers.
Seungcheol grappled for her hands. “What did the test say? Am I going to die?”
Zoey gave a curious look. “That’s…not what the test does. But no, we have to wait fifteen minutes.”
Seungcheol groaned and hid his face.
“What did you do to him?” Zoey demanded, glaring at Changkyun. “He’s worse than when you arrived.”
“I just prepared him for the realities of what is going to happen if you’re pregnant,” Chankgyun suddenly clapped his hands. “Oh my god…when Wonho finds out?”
Seungcheol actually squeaked.
“It’ll be fine,” Zoey rubbed his back. “But you need to eat something, because I’m scared you’ll pass out. Kyun, give him half of your bagel.”
Changkyun froze with the bagel halfway to his mouth. “But I made this.”
“With my food,” She countered, snapping her fingers. “Let’s go.”
With a dirty look Changkyun passed the bagel over, where Seungcheol gratefully took a bite.
Zoey sighed. She would be the first to admit that this wasn’t ideal, especially she would be the person most affected by the outcome. However, being able to focus on keeping Seungcheol from fainting and Changkyun from stealing all of their food was a welcome distraction.
She didn’t even want to think about what would happen if that test came back positive. She’d never really been a planner, but she was so aware that a positive result would derail her life, at least temporarily.
“I would be a very cool uncle,” Changkyun’s voice interrupted her thoughts. “Out of like twenty possible options, I will definitely be the favourite,”
“Twenty options,” Seungcheol mumbled, no doubt still thinking about having to tell Monsta X.
Zoey patted his back. “Perk up. We don’t know anything for sure yet.” She was half speaking to him, and half reassuring herself.
They passed the next ten minutes in a tense silence, broken only by Changkyun’s random comments (he was going to buy the baby a little microphone), and Seungcheol’s stressed mumblings.
When the time was up, Zoey returned to the bathroom, almost dreading the result.
“One line is no, two lines is yes,” She chanted under her breath, praying for one line.
She barely picked it up when two people barrelled into her back.
“What does it say?” Seungcheol demanded, reaching for the test.
Changkyun leaned over her shoulder. “What does one line mean?”
Zoey took a deep breath, the stress leaving her body. “It means no.”
“No?”
“I’m not pregnant.”
Seungcheol let out a whoop and smacked a kiss onto her mouth. “I freaking love you.”
Zoey laughed. “That was stressful. Let’s not do that again.”
He shook his head quickly. “We’re never having sex again.”
“Ew,” Changkyun stepped out of the doorway so that they could leave the bathroom. Seungcheol skipped towards the kitchen.
Disposing of the test, Zoey followed after him, before she was yanked into a crushing hug.
“You good, Zo?” Changkyun squeezed her.
“Yeah,” She squeezed him back. “That was a lot.”
“You know I was just joking right? I could see that you were stressing,” He let her go.
“I know,” She nodded. “Thanks for being here.”
“Anytime,” He punched her lightly in the arm. “Love you.”
“Love you too.”
“I love everybody!” Seungcheol shouted.

well you still make sense to me, your mess is mine
or, a 5x03 coda about cleaning kitchens
Buck has just closed his eyes when his phone buzzes.
He turns it over on his chest, expecting it to be the front door asking him to buzz Taylor in – she’s done it before, after all, been on his screen and then shown up at his door – but it’s not. It’s a text from Eddie. And unlike the text suggests, Buck is not sleeping, and he’s not hanging out with Taylor, and there’s a certain finality in the way Eddie writes out “Ana’s gone” that makes him want to ask questions, and he doesn’t actually process what he’s doing until he’s sitting in the driver’s seat of the Jeep with his keys in the ignition.
He hesitates for just a moment, and then decides no, he really doesn’t want to sit alone in his apartment.
He lets himself into Eddie’s house when he gets there and is instantly greeted by Christopher, which, after everything with Harry, just warms his heart.
“Buck!” Christopher says, wrapping him in a hug.
“Hey buddy,” Buck replies, squeezing him tightly for a second and kissing the top of his head.
“Dad’s in the kitchen,” Christopher informs him and then returns to playing video games on the couch, now that he can for the first time in however many days it’s been. They’ve all blurred together in Buck’s head.
Buck ruffles Chris’s curls one last time and ducks into the kitchen only to freeze.
There’s disaster everywhere.
The cabinet doors are open or partially shut and mostly empty because almost every dish Eddie owns is scattered across the counters and the kitchen table and the dishwasher is already running, but it doesn’t seem to have any effect because there are still dirty dishes…all over the place. And that’s before the half-filled muffin tins and the empty boxes of muffin mix and the mixing bowls and the half finished containers of milk and eggs that must have gone into all the muffins but which are definitely no longer fit for human consumption if they’ve been out on a counter in LA during this weather for longer than ten seconds.
And then there’s Eddie with his back to the door, washing dishes with—
“Are those frog-shaped dish gloves?” Buck asks.
There’s no way Eddie hadn’t known he was there, but he still startles like Buck’s caught him mid deep-thought.
“Uh,” Eddie says, looking down at his hands, which are definitely clad in bright green gloves to match his soap holder, and then doesn’t confirm or deny. “Sorry for the mess.”
“Hey, I don’t mind,” Buck says. “Besides, it’s not like you made it, right?”
“It’s still my fault,” Eddie points out, which…
Buck shrugs and when the dishwasher beeps a second later, he opens it, dodges the cloud of steam, and starts putting the stuff away. They don’t talk for a while, just cleaning in companionable silence, while Buck loads the dishes Eddie hands him into the dishwasher.
When all that’s left is foodstuffs rather than dishes, Buck grabs one of the muffins and unpeels it as Eddie puts the rest into a Tupperware. Buck stuffs the thing whole into his mouth and instantly regrets it when it goes claggy and gluey, with just a hint of bad aftertaste like maybe the milk had already kind of been off by the time it went into the batter.
“Huh,” Buck says.
“What?” Eddie asks, trying to stuff a few more of the things into the Tupperware.
“I didn’t know you could fuck up muffins from a box that badly,” Buck says. He considers just spitting it out, but perseveres and immediately washes it down with about a gallon of water.
Eddie watches him with a frown and picks up one of the muffins himself.
“I wouldn’t,” Buck warns, but Eddie ignores him. Unlike Buck, he takes a sensible bite of it, but he still makes a face of instant regret.
“These should just—” he starts, and Buck grabs the garbage from under the sink while Eddie tips the awful muffins into it.
And then they clean out the fridge, which they probably should’ve done first because anything that was in it and truly perishable had not survived the week and Buck’s honestly a little shocked that Ana hadn’t thrown all of it out already, but, well, maybe there’s something in there about clinging to things you know aren’t working. Or, maybe it’s just gross and she didn’t want to deal with it, which Buck gets but also does not get at all.
“You know, they say the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach,” Buck says when they’ve gotten all of the dead food out of the house. “I’m a little concerned about her roadmap.”
Eddie snorts and then searches Buck’s face for a second. They’ve been cleaning long enough that it’s afternoon now, and the beers Buck had brought have been in the fridge long enough to be cold, and Eddie hands him one while they lean against the counters in the delightfully fresh-smelling and clean kitchen.
“I thought you were on Ana’s side,” Eddie says quietly.
Buck recoils. “Dude, no? I’m on your side, always. Even if sometimes that means telling you to pull your head out of your ass. I mean, yeah, I empathise with her, because I’ve been there and it—”
He’s been there, he’s been the person in a relationship holding onto it as tightly as he can when it’s been about as effectual as a lapdog pulling on its owner’s sock to try and keep them from going to work in the morning. He’s been there, he was there with Abby, and he’s…
There’s a reason he’s at Eddie’s house instead of at home.
Eddie’s foot taps against his and startles Buck out of his unpleasant realisations. “Buck?”
“I’m good,” Buck says. “But I’m on your side, you know that, right?”
Eddie’s smile is a little slow and almost a little shy, but it warms Buck from the inside out, which is nice. It’s also the first time Eddie’s smiled since Buck’s come over.
“Yeah, I know,” Eddie says.
“Good,” Buck says, using some of the beer to swallow down the lump in his throat, and then reaching for the fridge. “Okay, let’s figure out what survived and see if we can’t cobble together something that looks like a late lunch.”
Eddie nods and squeezes his arm, and Eddie’s hand is warm and strong and grounding all at once. “Sounds like a plan.”

Hello. I loved the rejecting then regretting it scenario with Sakusa and Tsukki. 💞💞 Would you be open to doing one with Inarizaki boys as well? If it's too much, Atsumu would do because I think he is the one most likely to have this happen. Angst to fluff, please. 👉👈 Thank you!
Rejecting you and Regretting it pt. 2
Tumblr media
a/n: hey, bub. as much as i wanted to input all inarizaki boys, i only take 1-2 characters per request. the reason for this is for me to avoid being repetitive with the scenes. i hope you understand. that being said, here's your request for the part 2 with atsumu. this was supposed to be short but i kind of got carried away with this, 'm sorry😭
Tumblr media
genre: angst to fluff
warnings: cursing, rude behavior (resolved), please do remind me if i missed anything else

Atsumu Miya
You met Atsumu during your first year
It was exactly the first day when you bumped into him on the hallways and ended up being in the same class
From there on, the both of you formed a good friendship since you have the same tastes in things
Along the way, you managed to fall for him
It wasn't impossible to fall for him after all
He was fun to be with, that it felt as if there were no dull moments when you're with him
But you were afraid of confessing to him because you didn't want to ruin your friendship
However, that all changed when somebody entered the picture
"Another one?" you asked Atsumu as he sat on your usual table at the school's cafeteria.
Looking at the two boxes of chocolates given to him by a fangirl, Atsumu nodded. "Mhmm. They just keep on coming every single day."
You can't help but laugh at what he said. You took one of the boxes and stared at the familiar name written on it. "Yuki again? Isn't she that girl from the other section? The one who kept on giving you stuff every day?" you asked and the smile you had awhile ago completely disappeared from your face.
"The one and only. She's kind of cute though," he said as if it wasn't a big deal.
Maybe for him, it wasn't, but it's a different case for you. You were aware of what you're getting into the moment you realized that you have feelings for Atsumu. At first, his fangirls didn't bother you since you knew that he doesn't really pay attention to them but hearing what Atsumu said just now sparked a feeling of jealousy inside of you.
You knew that what you're feeling right now is selfish. He isn't your boyfriend. Sure, you might've been in love with him for 2 years now but that doesn't mean that you have the right to tell him who he should and shouldn't date, right? After all, you're just his friend.
In fact, you've thought of confessing several times already but fear always overtook you. Afraid of ruining the bond the two of you have, you disregarded the idea and settled on keeping your feelings a secret.
But that might change today. Seeing Atsumu smiling at the chocolates right now made you think that if you don't do something about it now, you might just lose him to another girl.
And you'd rather lose him by getting rejected than lose him to another girl, knowing that you didn't do something.
"You think she's cute?"
Atsumu nodded as he swallowed the whole onigiri Osamu packed for him. "Mhmm. Kind of my type actually."
You tilted your head a bit to the side and rested your cheek on your palm with your elbows placed on top of the table. "So cute girls are your type of girls... What about me, 'Tsumu? Do you think I'm cute?"
Atsumu placed his chopsticks down and stared at you intently, a small grin now forming on his lips. "Of course."
"Cute enough to be your type?"
You knew that you were playing a dangerous game but it was now or never. This time you wouldn't let fear win over you, now that Atsumu mentioned that his attention was caught by someone.
You know Yuki. She's pretty and kind of popular for being a member of the cheerleading team, and the more you thought about it, the more your confidence wavered.
A volleyball player and a cheerleader? What a good match.
You were snapped out of your thoughts when you heard Atsumu laughing. "What are ya saying, y/n? Did ya hit yer head or something?"
Crossing your arms over your chest to fake confidence, you frowned at him. "Just answer the question, Miya."
"Of course yer cute but to be my type?" He shook his head and scratched the back of his head. "Sorry, angel, but I don't date my friends, let alone someone whom I consider my best friend."
You took a deep breath before finally letting the words out. Your heart was beating erratically as cold sweat started forming on your nape out of nervousness.
"I like you, Atsumu. I tried to hold myself back because I didn't want to ruin our friendship but hearing you talk about how someone finally managed to catch your attention just..." You sighed and looked down at your lap. "I don't think I can hide it anymore knowing that I could lose you anytime."
Silence enveloped the two of you and the anticipation made you more anxious than you already was.
"Was this yer plan all along?"
You turned your gaze towards him upon hearing his words. "What do you mean? I don't know what you're talking about.."
You felt yourself freeze when Atsumu chuckled before answering. "Ya really think I'd fall for the same trick? C'mon y/n. I'm not as stupid as what people say."
"I don't understand-"
"Did'ya think that two years of friendship will let ya accomplish yer goal? I didn't expect ya to be like the other girls. Ya don't like me. Ya just like the idea of dating me for my popularity."
Your lips parted at his words. You wanted to reason out and defend yourself but the way he was looking at you made you almost cower in fear.
He's looking at you the way he looks at his fangirls when they shout during his services.
"Tsumu, that's not true. I really like you." You gave him a pleading look, hoping that he'd see your sincerity but he only glared at you.
"Pathetic. Get out of my sight," he said without any sympathy.
"You could've just rejected me like a normal person would, instead of insulting me." You wiped your tears with the back of your hand as you stood up but before you left, you looked at him straight in the eyes once more. "You know what? Out of the two of us, I'm not the one who's pathetic. It's you. Goodluck on your game tomorrow, Atsumu."
You walked away without turning back, knowing that once you spared him another glance, you'd go back and fight for your feelings.
But what's the point of fighting when you're the only one who's willing to fight?
-
A week later, you were back to your usual attitude or at least that's what you wanted yourself to believe. At least you're trying, right?
There were times that your eyes would drift towards Atsumu's direction but you kept on reminding yourself that you won't be able to move on unless you really put effort on throwing away your feelings.
When classes ended, you were left alone in your classroom due to cleaning duties. While you were sweeping the part near the door, you managed to catch Atsumu's back and saw that he was talking to someone - it was Yuki.
You stared at his back longingly and let out a sigh because you knew that despite how much you're trying to disregard your feelings, you miss the feeling of being beside him.
You missed his voice, his goofiness, everything.
"Bestfriends, huh?" you whispered to yourself and chuckled at how pathetic you must've been, pining over someone you knew who'd never look at you.
After doing your cleaning duties, you exit the room and decided to walk on the opposite direction since Atsumu and Yuki were still talking on the direction where the exit was supposed to be.
Who would want to hear their crush talking to their girlfriend anyway? Certainly not you.
The only downside of going in the direction you chose was that you weren't familiar with it. Even though you've been studying here for three years now, there were still places you weren't familiar of.
It was now getting dark and you brought out your phone to use the flashlight. You noticed that you're already out of the building, however, the surroundings weren't familiar to you.
You decided to continue walking, realizing that you somehow made it to the back of the school. Trees surrounded you and only a few lights were there to guide your way.
"Shit," you whispered to yourself as you realized that you were getting nowhere.
You decided to go back to the direction you came from but you only seemed to confuse yourself even more. Tears were now starting to well up in your eyes as you nervously tried to find your way back.
You sqealed as something rustled behind you. You immediately ran out of panic and fumbled with your phone, dialing the first number you could click.
"Y/n?"
It's him.
"'Tsumu, I-" you paused for a moment to catch your breath and sat down on the ground, your back resting against a tree. "Help me."
You hear some shouting and some wooshing sounds from the other side of the phone before Atsumu's voice filled your ears. "Where are you, angel?" he asked with concern lacing his voice.
"I don't know. I was just looking for the exit and the next thing I know I'm surrounded with trees and there's this sound of rustling so I ran away," you said without pausing. "Tsumu, I'm scared."
"I'll go find ya, okay? But first calm down. Can ya do that for me? Just breathe and tell me the directions ya can  remember."
After explaining all the things you could remember, Atsumu didn't drop the call. Instead, he stayed on the line and comforted you with his words.
It wasn't long then when Atsumu appeared on your line of vision and the first thing you did was wrap your arms around him. You were quickly enveloped in his warmth as he rubbed your back soothingly.
"It's okay now, y/n. I'm here," he whispered as he kept on rubbing your back.
After having a few moments to calm you down, Atsumu instructed you to climb on his back. You wanted to decline but due to how tired your legs felt because of running, you had no choice but to agree.
"I'm sorry for calling you. You must've been busy," you mumbled while resting your head on his shoulder.
"I was actually still around school when ya called. I saw ya cleaning and decided to wait for ya but Yuki wanted to talk to me. The next moment I know, ya were gone but I still waited because I knew that if ya went home already, you would've passed by but ya didn't," Atsumu explained, his grip on your thighs tightening as he spoke.
"I guess Yuki and you are now-"
"I spoke to her to tell her to stop giving me random stuff." Atsumu licked his lips nervously before continuing, "When you left, I realized how much I messed up. I spouted some offensive words to ya and rejected ya without thinking of the consequences."
"Tsumu..."
"Let me finish, okay? This is the only chance I'm getting and there's no way I'm going to waste it. I already wasted a lot of time."
You gave a small nod as the memories of what happened all came flooding back to you. You fisted your hands and bit your lower lip to stop yourself from crying.
"I was scared. Ya were the only one who was genuine to me. Everytime I'm around you, I'm just me. I'm just Atsumu. Not the setter of the volleyball team nor the noisy twin of 'Samu," he said, followed be a chuckle.
"I was used to girl fawning over me. I have this mentality that girls are just after my reputation and when ya confessed to me, the first thing that entered my mind was that you were the same as them, that you were only going to use me. In the end, I didn't only lost my bestfriend but also the person I love. I'm sorry for hurting for you, angel."
Atsumu placed you down once you both made it infront of the school gate. He was looking you intensely and you didn't fail to notice that his eyes were glossed with tears as well. "I like you, and if this time, ya realized that yer feelings for me are no longer there, I'd respect it."
He took your hands in his and squeezed them tightly, not enough to hurt you but just enough to let you know that he was afraid to let you go.
"It's always been here. My feelings for you never faded despite how much I wanted them to disappear," you said as you stared at him lovingly, tears of happiness now flowing freely down your cheeks. "I still like you, 'Tsumu."
"Fuck. You don't know how much hearing ya say that makes me happy right now." Atsumu let go of your hand and wrapped his arms around you. His scent filled your nose and you couldn't stop yourself from burrying your face to the side of his neck.
"I love ya."
"And I love you too, 'Tsumu."

Tokyo Revengers Boys with a s/o who competes in dirt bike competitions
Mikey, Draken, Mitsuya, Baji
TW: none
---
Mikey
Mikey would only find out when he had come around to your house for the first time.
You had left your boyfriend in your room alone as you went to collect some refreshments for the two of you. Mikey had taken this as an opportunity to look at the stuff you had displayed on your shelves.
Books, mangas, the usual stuff he would expect in a middle schoolers room. That was until he noticed the trophies you had standing together on the shelf over your desk.
Curiosity got the better of him as Mikey reached out to take one of them to inspect. Just as his hand connected with the nearest one, the door to your room opened to reveal you with your arms filled with packets of snacks.
"You wanna look at them?" Even though you had caught the blond snooping, you weren't in the slightest annoyed. In fact, you hated to admit that a bubble of pride had surfaced in your chest at the fact he was trying to look at your trophies.
Mikey simply nodded, bringing the one trophy in his hand off the shelf so that he could examine the engraving. It surprised him to see that it was a first place award for a dirt bike MX race. After all, you didn't have a bike, right?
"You ride dirt bikes?" You simply gave a grin before confirming that you in fact did.
The rest of his time at your house was spent with you showing off your dirt bike and explaining all of your trophies. Mikey would be a proud boyfriend at your accomplishments, so much so where he bragged about you to most of Toman.
Will be the type of boyfriend who will drag his friends to your races just to cheer you on. He will always wait at the finish point to congratulate you, your favourite snack in hand.
Draken
You had gone to visit your amazing boyfriend at his bike shop, a bento made with care tucked in your backpack. This was a regular occurrence, so much so where Draken would be disappointed if you didn't come over as you had other things to do.
As you were off to practice for the next MX race taking place in a few weeks, you had decided to ride your dirt bike to the shop. Not thinking how Draken had yet to see your precious baby, you simply parked it right outside the shop opening.
"Kenny? Babe, I've brought you a bento!" You called out to the male, noticing his head pop up from behind some shelves of tools. You noticed how his eyes lit up when you had mentioned the bento, a small giggle escaping past your lips. He reminded you a little of young Mikey sometimes.
"Thanks babe," Draken placed a quick peck on your cheek, hands taking the box from your own before his eyes caught sight of your bike. Confused, he made his way towards the vehicle before looking around for the owner, even more confused when no-one but you had turned up.
"You like her?" You smirked in amusement at Draken's face as realisation hit him. His eyes widened slightly and he was speechless. He could never have guessed that his partner was into extreme sports like dirt bikes. "Anyway, Ken, I really need to head off to the track soon."
"Didn't realised you rode. When were you gonna tell me about this, huh?" You simply grinned sheepishly at your boyfriend, his amused smirk making your heart skip a beat. Your heart couldn't handle how much you loved the former delinquent.
After your 'secret' had been revealed to your bike loving boyfriend, he would accompany you when he could spare the time to watch you ride around the course. When you had races, he would attend each one, either by himself or with some of the other former Toman members.
Super proud boyfriend. He would provide free check ups for your bike, even adding his signature dragon tattoo on the sides so you are reminded of him every time you are riding.
Mitsuya
Mitsuya was planning on surprising you by turning up at your house unannounced, expecting you to be in your room doing some studying or more likely, binging your favourite show. After all, it was a Saturday and that is how you would spend your days without any plans.
So he was seriously surprised to turn up and find you tinkering with your bike, making sure that the parts were all in working condition. You didn't seem to notice your boyfriend pull up a few feet away from where you were working, your mind focused solely on the checks you had to complete.
"What you doing, sweetheart?" Mitsuya called out to you, trying to hide the amusement he felt when you jumped out of your skin. You seriously weren't expecting anyone to break your concentration, especially not your boyfriend. While it melted your heart that the boy had taken the time to come and visit you, you were trying to use your spare time to prepare for the upcoming MX race.
"Just making sure my bike is in competing condition..." You mumbled, glancing over to the purple haired male as he titled his head to the side a little. Since when did you ride? And especially a dirt bike? Competing? Too many questions were filling Mitsuya's head at what you had replied with.
"Competing?" Turning your attention away from the machine towards Takashi, you gave a small smile as your mind relaxed. You felt like you could breathe now that your loving boyfriend was around and your thoughts weren't filled with what ifs.
"There's an upcoming race that I have entered. I just need to make sure my bike is in good enough condition to ride," and with that explanation, a small smile graced the boy's face. He had a mixture of feelings bubbling inside him; part of him was proud that you rode as well, but another part was concerned over you getting hurt.
The conversation you both had revolved around your riding and racing experience, explaining how you had won a few small competitions when you were younger and just carried on the hobby. Your eyes seemed to shine the more you recollected memories of your past races, Mitsuya noted. His heart fluttered as he watched how enthusiastic you were when talking about dirt bike riding.
When the race had come along, Mitsuya had convinced a few members of Toman to join him and his sisters in cheering you on. Would even design and make you a jacket for you to wear when riding. Proud boyfriend when he heard his friends say how good you were and even more when you had come in first. Quick to check you over for injuries and provide you with a bottle of water. His sisters thought it was so cool and insisted on coming along to watch you practice in the future.
Baji
You seemed to be getting more and more random bruises on your arms and legs, Baji noticed. He wasn't so much concerned as he was curious on where they were coming from. Were you out beating up gangs all on your own without him? If so, you had a lot of explaining to do as he would love to get in on that action.
Instead of asking you about them, he decided he would follow you in case his assumption was right and he could jump in to help. You had left school not that long ago, your boyfriend riding his motorbike while you clung to the back of him. Bidding you a usual goodbye with a kiss to your forehead, he was quick to hide himself and his bike behind a wall once you had entered your house.
It was really only a gamble if you would leave the house again. Baji knew this but his curiosity was keeping him there. However, the gamble paid off as you finally left your home on your bike.
That is what surprised the boy. You had never said you could ride. In fact, you usually rode behind him on his bike when you both went out for late night rides together. If he had known you could ride, he might have insisted on you riding your bike alongside him. After all, you both could race each other around Shinjuku.
Starting up his own bike again, he followed behind you as you were heading to your destination. The more he observed you on your bike, he could tell that you had been riding for a while. But he also noticed how your bike was different from the ones he and the others at Toman rode.
You arrived at the practice area you would frequently visit on your bike. Being a Freestyle dirt bike rider meant that you had to spend a lot of time perfecting your jumps and flips. Adjusting your helmet, you revved your bike and sped down the ramps, gaining enough momentum to send you in the air long enough to do your trick.
Baji had stopped a little way away from you, close enough where he could clearly watch you but out of sight so you didn't get distracted by seeing him. After all, he wasn't meant to be there. He couldn't believe him eyes though when he saw you performing some of the flips. You were amazing in his eyes, especially when you successfully landed. So this must be where your bruises were coming from.
The next day at school, Baji had confessed to you that he had followed you and saw you practicing on your bike. At first you were embarrassed, especially when he was gushing about how cool you were when completing your flips. Especially with how you were still so young and able to do these insane feats.
The next freestyle competition you had entered, Baji had dragged Chifuyu with him to support you and watch how amazing you were. While you didn't win, Baji couldn't be more proud of you and congratulated you for competing by peppering kisses all over your face. Definitely a boyfriend who would brag to anyone who would listen.

The Military Dog Tag Dilemma
Relationship: Stucky x Reader Warnings: N/A, just fluff Summary: You just want to wear the military tags of both your men but Steve seems to run into some issues. A/N: I am also always a sucker for Stucky writing ok and this was my first personal attempt at it and i thought it came out well <3
masterlist
Bucky gave you his dog togs within weeks of establishing your relationship with him and Steve.
You loved to mindlessly play with them as the three of you cuddled up in bed, enjoying some pillow talk after, particularly long days. Steve spooning you from behind as you laid on Bucky’s chest, his arm thrown around you, running his fingers through Steve’s hair. Your fingers would fumble with the shiny tags, turning them over in your hand, watching the minimal moonlight hit them every now and then.
You didn’t know what it was about the tags that had you so captivated nearly every night. It felt so simple yet so intimate as you stared at your lover’s name and information engraved in them. While you weren’t exactly an expert on wartime, you knew the tags could serve as gifts to partners, assuring your heart to one another. The concept definitely drifted through your mind from time to time, but you never brought it up.
Bucky, however, seemed to be thinking the same thing. Wordlessly, one night, he slipped off the silver chain, tags clinking together musically, and slid them over your head. The coolness of them tickled your neck as the tags fell to the valley between your breasts.
You didn’t know what to say. Your heart was pounding as you ran your fingers around the necklace. Even Steve seemed a little shocked by the actions. But Bucky was fully pleased as evident by the cocky grin he wore watching you ogle at the gift. He had to admit — knowing you were walking around with his name dangling from your neck did something for him.
"Where are your tags, Steve?" You had asked after placing a loving, appreciative kiss on Bucky’s lips. Now that you obtained Bucky’s tags, it only seemed fitting you wore Steve’s as well.
Steve shifted. You looked up at him only to find him watching the wall across from the bed, seemingly lost in thought. "I-I’m not really sure, honey."
You let out a sad hum at the response. "Well, if you find them, let me know," you yawned, shuffling down in the bed to get comfier. "I’d like both of my men close to me all the time."
Since then, Steve had been on a mission to find dog tags. Going through archives, chain of custody notes, discarded boxes… Everything. There was just something about the entire thing that was driving Steve mad. He was honored you wanted to show off the claim your two lovers had on you but he was also deeply concerned about the fact that currently you only had Bucky’s to wear.
While Steve wouldn’t exactly call himself jealous in this situation, knowing you didn’t love him any less, the relationship was established the way it was and he felt you should still have something of his to truly show for it.
This led Steve on what felt like a manhunt for the "damn dog tags," as he kept referring to them when Bucky would check-in asking if all was okay. Nothing was really okay. He had looked high and low for them, going through every potential record in the database trying to at least confirm there was something to even look for.
He pounded his fist against the desk late one night. Steve had pushed you and Bucky to get some sleep, claiming he had some reports to look over before bed. You two had looked at him suspiciously but eventually agreed, planting loving kisses on his cheeks, and telling him not to stay up too late.
"I get cold without both of you there," you had mumbled with a sleepy yawn following. Your words almost made Steve give up for the night but then he caught a glimpse of the silver chain on your neck. Seeing you like that, using your tired, loving voice, he remembered what he was doing this for. It was you. It was all about you and your love for sentimental things.
He grudgingly agreed to be there in an hour and that seemed to please his two lovers. Except — it was way past an hour. The sky was close to daybreak when he hit the desk in frustration.
Pushing the folders away, Steve leaned back in the chair, sighing. Within seconds, footsteps came from the hall and Bucky appeared in the doorway, watching a frustrated Steve.
"Everything okay in here?" Bucky asked, leaning against the door frame.
"Yeah, yeah, everything’s fine," Steve nodded. "Go back to bed, I’ll be there in a bit."
But Bucky didn’t look the slightest bit convinced. He had a knowing look in his eyes which Steve tried to avoid by looking down at the now splintered desk.
"How are those reports going?"
Steve rolled his eyes, letting out an annoyed groan. Deep down he knew he couldn’t hide anything from Bucky but still, worth a shot.
He pushed all the folders away this time, leaving them at the very edge of the desk. "I did have dog tags, right?"
"That’s still bothering you, huh?" Bucky crossed the threshold into the office and made his way to one of the chairs in front of Steve’s desk. He took one of the folders and sat directly across from Steve. Casually, he thumbed through it, waiting for his partner to start talking.
Steve didn’t really want to get into it again as he had probably hounded Bucky about it all last week but acting like it wasn’t bothering him was getting him nowhere — obviously.
"Yes," Steve sighed. "I just want her to have something from each of us. It’s- It’s hard watching our girl…"
Bucky frowned, "I’m sorry, Steve. I should’ve waited to give them to her."
"No, Buck," Steve leaned forward, reaching his hand out. Bucky took the signal and leaned, placing his own hand in Steve’s. "You wanted her to have them. That’s your call. I just feel disappointed I have nothing to give."
"Well…" Bucky hummed, tilting his head in thought. Steve’s eyes furrowed, trying to get his partner to spit out whatever he was thinking. "What if we ordered you new ones?"
"Can you do that?"
"I honestly don’t know," Bucky chuckled. "But I don’t understand half of what you can do these days, so, I’d imagine there’s a way to get dog tags made."
Steve sighed, leaning back in his chair, disconnecting their touch. It seemed reasonable and would do the job except for the fact— "But they wouldn’t be in combat or- or from the actual military."
Bucky just shook his head. With an annoyed scoff, he said, "Do you think that really matters to her?"
"I guess not…"
"Steve, honey, I promise. It’s about the presentation, the show of it. Our girl is just looking for something personal from you to keep close to her," Bucky assured him. "Plus, I think we can get it updated and personalized. Maybe even write something nice just for her on the back."
Steve had to admit, his heart was jumping happily at the idea. He really couldn’t argue with anything and agreed to the plan. The only issue was — they were a bit out of touch with ordering anything online. You had always been the one to assure online packages and food deliveries arrived but now they had to take you out of the equation. While excited to surprise you, they were slightly unsure about ordering and had to enlist the help of the team who all turned out to be more than happy to assist once they explained their idea.
A few weeks later, you were laying in your shared bed, back against the headboard, body cozied up under the duvet. You were engrossed in a cheesy romance novel, waiting for Steve and Bucky to join you for the night. Eventually, the two came in, but they were still in their work attire.
You frowned at their appearance. "Aren’t you guys coming to bed?"
As you asked your question, you couldn’t help but note their unusual stance. The two men were side-by-side, standing at the foot of the bed, looking down at you. Bucky had his hands in his pockets while Steve appeared to be hiding something behind his back. You eyed them suspiciously.
"We will in a bit, doll," Bucky said. You watched him as he came around to the side of the bed. He sat down and leaned against the headboard, shifting right next to you, sneakily taking the book out of your grip. "But first, Steve has something for you."
"For- For me?" You asked, whipping your head around to face Steve. He had a bit of nervousness to him as he nodded, making his way over to the bed and sitting on the edge.
Silently, he handed you a small box. You eagerly accepted the item, turning it over and over in your hands. Giving it a light shake, the box made a jangling noise. "What is it?" You asked, wide-eyed looking between the two men.
Steve and Bucky both let out soft chuckles at your excitement. "You have to open it to find out," Steve said. He still had an air of anxiousness, running his hands up and down his jean-covered thighs, fidgeting.
To put your poor boyfriend out of his misery, you opened the box. At first, all you noticed was something slim and shiny. Eyes furrowed in confusion, you pulled out what appeared to be a chain. You could feel a slight heaviness to it — and then you saw it. Your jaw dropped as you tossed the box next to you. In your hands was another set of dog tags nearly identical to the ones you already had adorned on your neck — only this pair were inscribed with the name Steven Grant Rogers.
"Steve-," you gasped, staring at the tags laying in the palm of your hands. You were at a loss for words as you read the tag.
"Are- Are they okay?" Steve asked, his nervous hand came up to rest on your thigh, pulling your attention back to him.
"Are you kidding me?" You let out a breathy laugh. "They’re wonderful, honey, thank you so much."
"You’re sure?" He asked again. Bucky gave him a pointed look for his ridiculousness but that didn’t stop Steve from rambling. "I-I couldn’t find mine so, I got a new pair made. I know they’re maybe not as authentic or something but I still wanted-,"
"You had these made?" You cut in. "For me?"
Steve nodded, "You had Bucky’s, so, it was only fair you had something of mine, too."
You couldn’t hold your emotions back at his word. Tears began forming as you looked at your soft, loving partner. You let out little sniffles as you turned back to the tags, still soaking in their meaning. Bucky placed a light touch on your arm as Steve scooted closer, probably suddenly scared by your tears.
"They’re perfect, honey," you whispered as you looked back at him and leaned forward, placing a sweet kiss on Steve’s lips. He eagerly accepted, practically sighing from relief under your touch. "They’re going to go perfect with the tags from my other man." You mumbled and turned to now give Bucky a kiss, who felt very pleased to get a turn to lock lips with you.
Facing Steve again, you handed him the chain. He looked down at it, confused.
"Well, soldier, are you going to put them on me?"
Both of the men chuckled at your actions but Steve happily slid the silver chain over your neck, watching as the tags fell to your chest. Once they landed, they clang nicely with Bucky’s. It sounded like music to your ears.
"I love you both so much," you said, your hand mindlessly running over the pair of tags. "Thank you."
"We love you too, doll," Bucky said. Steve nodded in agreement.
Smiling, you gave them both quick pecks and said, "Now, are you guys coming to bed?"
Bucky scoffed, "How could we ever deny you?"
You giggled. "I don’t think you can seeing as last time I checked I was a special girl."
At your words, both their gazes dropped once again to the tags hanging between your breasts, seeming so at place there.
"You sure are, honey," Steve mumbled, placing a kiss on your cheek.

Previous Part || Series Masterlist
It’s roughly a week before he sees you next.
Right on time too, according to the briefings he had received. Once a week you’d come up with your next batshit crazy idea and someone would be sent to make sure you didn’t execute it.
It was more of a babysitting gig than anything. Most people would do one, maybe two assignments before asking to not be sent again.
He was not most people. He volunteers to go again. His afternoon is relatively free and he’s bored.
Also, and more importantly, he needs to get out of the house before Sam finds out what he did.
“You’ll find her near the Statue of Liberty.”
“How do we know?”
“Oh, she tells us.”
“...she tells us where to find her?”
“Most times, yes. She says it’s time efficient.”
Absurd. He thinks you’re absurd.
Bucky finds you in line to board the ferry. You’re dressed to the nines like an obnoxious tourist, even though you were a local, topped with binoculars and a bucket hat.
On an unrelated note, he thinks that maybe the mission today is to kill you for daring to wear sandals with socks like a suburban dad. A shudder runs through his body when he sees it.
He’s wearing all black and a baseball cap. Somehow he’s standing out more than you are.
He boards the ferry behind you, keeping a close eye on all your movements. You take your place near the railing, a seat near the front of the boat.
His phone rings. He answers it, expecting Sam to screech at him for painting Redwing neon pink again. He should have known it was coming after he shoved Bucky off the quinjet before he had time to strap his parachute on properly.
“I thought I told you to bring a cape.”
He quickly looks up at you but you’re not facing him. You have your phone held up to your ear, however.
“How did you get this number?” he asks icily.
“I knew you’d show up again.” Your head tilts to look at the statue in the distance. “Also, thanks for the door money, but I’m not sure I appreciate how you think the least creepy way to give someone money is to drop it off anonymously at their doorstep.”
“That doesn’t answer my question.” He swiftly gets up, stalking over to where you’re sitting. He was advised not to do anything aggressive. Advised was a flexible word.
“Because I wasn’t going to answer it.” You look up at his figure looming over you. “Oh, hey.”
The phone is still pressed to the side of your face even though he’s right beside you. He cuts the call, shoving it back into his pocket.
“Allow me to introduce my pl-”
“What are you doing here?” He cuts to the chase.
You send him a glare. “I was going to say it before you told me to. And sit down before everyone thinks you’re going to kill me.”
“Why are you going there?” He doesn’t have time for this, he thinks. He has important things to do. Like watching the reruns of Masterchef Junior.
He sits in the seat beside you.
“Look at us.” You grin at him. “Me with the evilest outfit I could think of, you with your... Addams Family cosplay. We’re like, two peas in a po-”
“Start explaining,” he interjects.
You roll your eyes. “I’m going to shrink the Statue of Liberty and use it as a keychain.”
“What?” It’s probably the most benign plan he’s ever heard in his life.
“I’m kidding.” Oh, good. “I’m not using it as a keychain, I’m taking it to class.” Nevermind.
“What?” He finds himself repeating his previous question.
“I’m shrinking all the statues I can find. I want to use it in my classroom to teach the kids.”
“You’re... a teacher?” He blinks.
“You got a problem with that?” You look offended, to say the least.
“No.” It’s not what he would peg your occupation as. He didn’t think you had one at all. “How are you planning on shrinking it?”
You rummage through the ugliest fanny pack he has ever had the misfortune of seeing. You pull out a small ring box, complete with a bow tied neatly on top.
“I was saving this for our third anniversary, but-” you offer him a nervous laugh.
His stony expression doesn’t change, not even a blink.
“Fine, Jesus, you’re no fun,” you huff, dropping the emotional act when he doesn’t look amused.
You flip open the lid. Inside there are a few small disks. It looks familiar, he realises.
“Your friend Ant-Boy didn’t file a patent, so I just took his whole shtick.” He wants to defend Scott’s honour; it’s Ant-Man not boy. He doesn’t. He’s too transfixed on what you have in your hand.
“Pym particles.”
“The diet version.” You pick up one of them carefully. “A ripoff, but effective. Just gotta attach it to the thing I want to shrink and give it a few minutes.”
“You’re going to steal the Statue of Liberty,” he says, frankly a little taken aback that you were serious.
“Would you relax? I’ll put it back.”
“That’s not the point,” he damn near exclaims. “You can’t take away the Statue of Liberty just because you feel like it.”
“I literally can.” You point to the chips in your hand. “That’s the point of this, keep up.”
He feels exasperated. He didn’t sign up for this when he became an Avenger.
“Give me the box.” He makes a grab for it but you yank it away from his reach.
“What do you think you’re doing?”
“I don’t have time for this.” His reruns would begin in an hour.
“That’s my problem, because...” you trail off.
He rolls his eyes, makes a grab at the box again. His tactic is different this time. He stealthily pins one of your arms down so that you’re basically incapacitated.
“Hey! Stop that.” You fumble against his reach, shoving him with your elbow.
“Just give me the thing and we can all go home for the day,” he huffs, unfazed by your squirming.
“No! Over my dead bod-”
He doesn’t immediately notice what goes wrong in the scuffle.
Until you look at the ground near your feet. A disk lay there, undisturbed.
“Is that-” All of a sudden, either he’s getting taller or the ceiling of the boat is getting lower.
“Oops,” you say, not remorseful in the slightest.
“Are we going to-”
“I’d give it five minutes max.”
Great. He was stuck on a boat that was beginning to shrink. The other passengers were either oblivious or ignorant to seats that were starting to become too small for them, but Bucky’s heightened senses and extreme reflexes made it hard to skip.
He nudges the piece of tech with his foot. Maybe he can kick it off the boat.
“I wouldn’t do that if I were you,” you warn solemnly. He wants to disagree but doesn’t know enough about the device to dispute you.
“Fix this,” he hisses, panic slightly rising. His fingers find their way to his phone to send out an emergency text requesting backup and mass evacuation.
“I think it’s a rather lovely day for a swim, don’t you?” You stare dreamily at the waves that were inching closer up the boat.
Or you were inching closer to the water. Technicalities were frivolous.
“There are other people on this boat.”
“River’s big enough for all of us, I reckon.”
“Fix it.”
“Or what?” There’s a wicked gleam in your eye. “We both know I have the upper hand here.”
“Or I call the entirety of the Avengers here and haul your ass to prison.”
“Will they bring snacks?”
You’re insufferable. You know it. But you also are the fastest way to get out of this situation and right now, he didn’t want to be responsible for a shipwreck simulation.
“Fine. Tell me what you want.”
“I like soy chips.”
“Soy chi-” He nearly throws his hands up in frustration. “You know what I’m talking about.”
“I want one historical artifact so I can impress the kids. They think I’m the cool teacher and I want to keep that reputation alive.”
“What makes you think I can arrange for that?”
“You’ve been alive since goddamn dinosaurs roamed this earth, I’m sure you have some connections.” You pause to assess his face. “You know, you don’t look a day over 29. Dermatologists must hate yo-”
“I’ll get you an artifact, now fix the fuckin’ boat.”
“You promise?” You grin brightly.
He stares at you. You are unyielding.
The boat’s uncomfortably small and people are beginning to take notice. Worried murmurs fill the air behind him.
“Yes.”
“Okay.” You shrug simply.
You kneel over, picking up the chip from the ground. You do nothing else for two minutes, instead turning away from him to look at the Statue of Liberty that was coming closer.
It takes him a while to realise that half his body isn’t hanging off his chair anymore. The ceiling is moving further and further away from the top of his head.
“Are you fucking kidding me?” He wants to strangle you.
Why did he listen to you when all of this would have been over the minute he kicked it off the ship.
“You can drop it off at my lair on Monday and pick it up on Friday.” You gather your belongings, leaving him steaming behind you. “Nice talkin’ to ya, Sergeant.”
You step over him, flashing him a quick smile before walking off the boat with the rest of the tourists as if nothing had just taken place. When he looks down, the stupid ring box is on his lap.
He sits there, unmoving, eyes fixed on the container.
The ferry conductor asks if he’s going to get off the boat.
He simply shakes his head.

"are you sure you don't mind honey?" your mom asked, putting her earrings on. you nodded again, hoping your parents would actually leave a lot sooner. "we just feel so bad about leaving you on your birthday."
"mom, it is really okay. i'll probably just order some food and watch movies," you lied. your phone was vibrating in your pocket with the Pogues all wanting to know where you were.
"oh, have some people over! the Camerons would be welcome, that Thornton boy too," your mom stood from her vanity, turning to face you. "how do i look?"
"fabulous, as always," you smiled. she did look absolutely stunning. you were sure she would put all the other military girlfriends and wives to shame at.....whatever event this was in Charleston. at that moment, your dad came in.
"Sarah is outside," your dad said, checking his tie in the mirror before looking at you. "i think she has something for your birthday."
"Sarah Cameron?" you asked, turning to look out the window. there she stood, leaning against a black car with a relatively large and thin pink square in her hand. "what the fu-"
"Y/N," your mom scolded you, coming to look out the window as well. "i didn't know you and Sarah were getting to know one another."
"we aren't," you turned around. "i can walk out with you guys and talk to her then."
"go on down, i want to talk to Y/N for a moment," your dad said, pressing a kiss to her cheek. your mind ran over all the things you've done in the past week to warrant getting in trouble with your dad. you had purposefully stayed home since the boneyard party incident and avoided even speaking to the Pogues in case your parents had caught it.
"so, i saw Jake Allen at the club yesterday," your dad fixed his sleeves. your heart stopped; your whole body froze. he obviously knew everything, but no excuse could pour out of your mouth about why you had been with Rafe.
"he said he saw you and Rafe Cameron driving around the island," he finally looked at you. "at one in the morning."
"he did," you nodded. "i had been down at the beach that night. Rafe, Sarah, Topper Thornton, and Kelce Smith were there doing their own thing. I didn't drive, so instead of letting me walk home, Rafe gave me a ride." you were twirling a bracelet around your wrist behind your back, nerves coursing through you.
"that all that happened?"
"he dropped Kelce off, then Topper and Sarah, and then we got here around one. i wasn't ready to come in so we drove around and listened to music. i got home around three and went straight to bed."
"he ran a red light with you in the car," your dad put his hands in his pockets. "so why didn't i know until yesterday?"
"i dropped my phone and he was just making sure i was okay. we just happened to go through the light. he wasn't speeding or driving erratically at all," you were pleading, though you weren't sure why. he wasn't even angry at you, he was angry with Rafe for getting you in trouble and putting you in danger. you could easily put him under the bus and let your dad drive it over him, but you couldn't. you were getting defensive for him.
"he wasn't drinking or on anything?" your dad was still set in his stance, but you were done playing with your bracelet.
"if i was in danger, you know i would have told Mr. Allen," you crossed your arms. "can i go get my present now?"
"yeah, of course," your dad finally calmed down. "i'm just glad it wasn't one of those other kids you're always hanging out with. they must have been at that party that night."
"mhm," you rolled your eyes as you went down the stairs. outside, it was starting to get warm out as the sun went to reach its peak in the sky. your mom was talking to Sarah, who was standing up straight from the car and moving her hands around as she spoke.
"hey," you greeted them, pulling your cardigan up over your shoulder despite the heat. "what's up?"
"happy birthday," Sarah smiled, going to grab the once forgotten gift she had for you. "it's from Rafe, actually."
"he couldn't give it to her?" your dad asked, joining everyone in the front yard. you were staring at Sarah, hoping Rafe had a really good excuse for sending his sister - for his sake.
"he and my dad are going into Charleston today," Sarah told him. you closed your eyes, praying your dad doesn't make a smart comment.
"we're going into Charleston!" your mother smiled, you could hear it in her voice. "what are you they going for?"
"my dad has some business to do and dragged Rafe along. but you two look much nicer than some business meetings," Sarah complimented them.
you rolled your eyes. your dad was literally in his Marine Corp Dress Blue Uniform.
"open up your gift before we leave you two," your dad said. he was smiling, though it didn't reach his eyes. you pulled the pink tissue paper off the gift, your jaw dropping as you realized what it was. you pulled all the paper off, revealing to everyone the Chase Atlantic Vinyl.
"he got you a record?" Sarah asked, furrowing her eyebrows.
"we had talked about it the other night briefly," you brushed hair behind your ear, a big smile on your face. "i also have a record player in my room."
"that's so sweet," your mom said. your dad cleared his throat in response.
"you two need to go before you miss your ferry," you told them, ushering them to your father's car. they both kissed you on the cheek and left. you let out a sigh, coming face to face with Sarah by yourself.
"thank you, for giving this to me," you held up the vinyl slightly. "you can go home now."
"that's not the only reason i'm here," Sarah admitted. you paused to look at her instead of going inside. she held up a bandana - a gray piece of fabric that was far too familiar.
"what are you doing with that?" you turned all the way back around. "is John B. okay?"
"he sent me to come pick you up. you're supposed to be coming over to the chateau for your birthday and i am your ride since i had to see you to give you that," Sarah put the bandana back in her pocket. "so go put that inside and let's go."
"whatever," you mumbled, going back into your house. as you went up the stairs to your room, a piece of paper came out of the vinyl. you stopped and picked it up.
happy birthday, y/n. sorry it doesn't have your favorite song, but i hope it'll do - R.C.
you smiled the rest of the way up to your room, adding the record to your box of others. you switched tops and lost the cardigan.
the note from Rafe was sweet, even if all it really said was happy birthday. you thought over whether or not to add it to your memo board, but you slid it on there despite your better judgement. by the time you got downstairs, Sarah was in her car and scrolling on her phone. you got in the front seat next to her, pulling your phone out. Sarah's music was playing quietly through the speakers, but you quickly went to send Rafe a message on Instagram.
thank you for the gift! it means a lot that you got me something :)
you checked your other messages, quickly heading to the group chat to question why Sarah was suddenly involved in your birthday plans. all you got in reply were the eye emojis, though John B. wasn't answering your messages which made you even more annoyed. you were out of Sarah's car before she was parked.
"John B.!" you yelled, storming into the chateau. he came out of his room, a wide smile on his face.
"hey Y/N! happy eighteenth!" he went to give you a hug, but you out your hands up and blocked him.
"why the hell does Sarah have your dad's bandana?" you pointed at her as she came in. "why is she even here at all?"
"well, you were there when we kissed," John B. swallowed. you crossed your arms, biting gently on your tongue. "and this past week she broke up with Topper and came-"
"she went home with him that night!" you exclaimed. "like held his hand and went into his house."
"you went with them, you can't be mad at her for that," John B. threw it back.
"i didn't kiss someone in front of my boyfriend, then let my boyfriend beat him up, and ultimately leave with my boyfriend," you turned to Sarah. "did you and Topper fuck while you were at his house? you were all over him in the truck."
"i didn't," she glared at you. "let me know when she calms down, i'm going outside."
"funny how she gets to talk to me like i'm a dog and you don't stick up for me at all," you looked at John B. "let alone on my birthday."
"i'll talk to her about it after you explain to me what went through your mind when you went with her," John B. leaned against the wall.
"i was thinking that my father would happily blame you all for what happened and get you all in trouble if i had been seen by the police with you. i was the farthest away from the twinkie and would have gotten as all pulled over and in trouble if you'd have to wait. so excuse me for caring about the well being of my friends," you raised your eyebrows. "gonna go get your girlfriend to apologize now?"
"you went ghost after that night. we all just eventually assumed that Rafe convinced you of something bad. Sarah had said he took you home alone and that after she broke up with Topper she went straight home. she got home around two and he didn't get home until after three. he wouldn't talk about what took him so long so we didn't know what happened," John B. explained. "that doesn't give me the right to be a jerk to you, so i'm sorry."
"my dad knew about the party and i didn't want him to connect it to you guys. but Rafe and i just listened to music, that's all," you said, though you were still hurt that they thought Rafe would have that much influence on you. yeah, being with Rafe was fun, but they were still your friends. you were not that fickle in your opinions.
your opinions on Rafe, however....
"i understand now," John B. gave you a half smile, holding his arms out. "can i give you your birthday hug now?"
"i suppose," you teased with a matching smile, giving him a hug. you two hugged and went outside together, the other four people at John B.'s all looking at you expectantly.
"i'm eighteen, not eighty. you guys can be happy for me," you told them, laughing slightly. Kie was the first to come hug you, Pope following with JJ trailing along. John B. went to Sarah and they seemed to talk. by the time you wrangled out of JJ's grip, Sarah came and apologized.
"hey Y/N," Sarah started, fingers rubbing the thin material tied around her neck. you recognized it as the bandana. however angry you were before, it was John B.. he was your friend and you trusted his judgement - despite how dumb he seemed some times.
"i'm sorry," you told her. "you didn't have to come over this morning and bring me here, but you did. you clearly like John B. and he likes you, and you won't be going anywhere. i just thought it was going to be us five, but six is a better number."
"i'm sorry for being rude too, especially since it's clear how much you care ab-"
"let's get this party started!" JJ yelled, interrupting you and Sarah by pulling a beer out of no where and handing it to you. you took a drink and smiled at Sarah.
it truly was the beginning of one of your favorite days ever.
there was glow sticks, alcohol, and a hot tub. you got more bracelets from Kie, a book you had been wanting to read from Pope, a serenade from John B. and JJ, and an IOU from Sarah. there was so much laughter and cheer, you couldn't believe that once upon a time these people weren't your friends. you were so grateful for them, for the adventures they've taken you on.
nonetheless, nagging in the back of your mind, was that feeling in your chest. were you having fun doing something you shouldn't be right now? yes. was it giving you that feeling? unfortunately, no. your brain kept thinking about Rafe despite the dancing and drinking with your friends. you kept thinking about that feeling in your chest you were missing. you were really trying to not let it bother you. you wanted to find your way back to Rafe's truck with the windows down and music blaring. you realized you would probably be chasing that feeling for the rest of your life. the revelation made you ready to go home and listen to your new vinyl - at least that would remind you of that feeling. it was the first time you had ever felt out of place while with your friends.
"hey, are you feeling okay?" Sarah asked, gently touching your elbow. you vaguely remembered that she wasn't drinking because John B. knew you had to be home by the time your parents got back.
"i should probably get home. it's getting late," you nodded, putting your drink down on the counter. "where are my-"
"in my car already. say your goodbyes and i'll see you out there," Sarah smiled, heading out the door to the porch. you splashed some water in your face, hoping to finally calm yourself down. it was dark out now, and you were probably supposed to be home. you checked your phone again, the only message being from Rafe.
"who's that?" Kie asked, popping in next to you. you locked your phone, shoving it in your pocket.
"just some birthday wishes," you waved it off, holding Rafe as your secret. it was just a birthday present anyway, no need to get everyone torn up about it.
"happy birthday, Y/N," Kie hugged you suddenly. "i can't wait to go on a road trip with you once we graduate."
"of course," you hugged her back. "thank you for an amazing night, as always. you're a great friend, Kiara."
"you're just going home for the night, Y/N. no one is disappearing forever," she laughed pushing you out the door while she went to the bathroom. you gave your hugs to the boys before getting into Sarah's car. you checked your phone again, finally being able to see his reply.
i'm glad you like it, you deserve it. happy birthday, y/n x

Hello love! I hope I’m one of your first asks!!! 😍
Can I order up a new love/confessing feelings with a side of fluff, a la Bayverse Donatello please?! 💜
Sure thing lovely!! Hope you enjoy!!
Truck Repairs (Bayverse! Donatello x Fem! Reader)
Tumblr media
"Torque wrench please."
"Got it."
The slap of cool metal against scales resounded from underneath the Turtle Truck (a name Y/N commonly used, much to her companion's distaste), as Donnie was handed yet another tool from the plastic box next to his feet.
"Thank you." He huffed out. The cranking of gears, clinking of iron echoed out from the truck.
"Sure thing, Don," The girl said, sitting cross-legged on the floor beside the turtle's legs, "How much longer do you think this should take?" Her eyes stole an extensive glance at those toned, long, delicious-looking limbs. Wait. What? That didn't come from her mind again, did it?
Of course, it did. When did it not? Donatello sighed, voice floating out from below the massive machine, and then the wheels of his skateboard rolled against the cement as he uses his feet to pull his body from underneath.
"Uh, I'm not sure. The damage inflicted on the lower regions of the compression body is pretty tremendous. It could take up a few days, weeks even, if not strategically maneuvered-" he pushed the goggles from his eyes to settle comfortably on the top of his head, revealing the glittering hue of those beautiful amber eyes, "But it seems to be going well at the moment."
His mouth cutely curled up into a smile, one that never failed to release a cocoon of uncaged butterflies in Y/N's stomach.
She grinned back, and then shyly turned to study the soles of her shoes, evidently more interesting than looking at his uncannily handsome face.
"That's good to hear. Maybe we should take a break soon. You've been working like crazy since you got back from patrol."
His smile very subtly faded at this suggestion, though he made sure that his friend didn't catch it. Donnie enjoyed this company that she provided working with him on the truck's repairs, much more than he was willing to admit. Though, yes, he could use a nice break, maybe grab a snack or glass of water, the mutant knew surely that nothing fueled his cravings like her sweet presence (incomparably rich to the taste of his beloved pop tarts).
And if the same wasn't in her book about him, then by gods...
I mean sure, he's a mutant. Gross right?
Wrong. So, so very wrong.
"Y-yeah I guess we could take a little break." He responded, then let out a sort of struggled grunt as his body lifted to sit upwards and rest his shell on the side of the garbage truck.
Y/N's eyes wandered once more at the marvelous rolling and extending of his muscles as he did so, draping a single sturdy arm across one knee and using the other to adjust his glasses. She gulped. Her gaze shamelessly traveled to the seemingly endless length of his legs, until she caught the quick movement of his head in her peripheral.
She immediately averted her stare, back down to the laces of her converse, trying to subside the heat crawling quickly over her neck.
"T-tell you what, why don't I go grab you a snack, and you stay here and see if there's anything else we can do." Y/N pushed herself up from the ground and before Donnie could respond, she had already scampered out of the workshop to avoid any further humiliation.
"O-okay!" He called after her, though the likeliness of hearing him was probably far gone since she was already in the kitchen by then.
Y/N grasped the bridge of her nose between her for dinner and thumb, letting out an exasperated sigh as the tap water still poured, pattering against the metal sink.
'He totally caught me staring,' she thought. Though her self-control was usually tempered, easily under restraint, it melted into a helpless puddle when Donatello's presence was made known around her. Hell, even passing up the open doorway of his lab as he worked was a strain, and Y/N found herself peeking in curiously as his eyes fixated carefully, passionately over a project as he worked.
It took every willful ounce in her body not to just snatch the tails of his violet bandana and yank him in for a savory kiss every time he was a few feet away from her.
Her brain, exhausted from such thoughts, tried to focus on her footfalls, the wrinkle of pop-tart wrappers, the clinking of ice against glass cups, a cool contrast against Y/N's warm arms.
She halted directly outside of the workshop, inhaled, exhaled, and then rounded the corner to see-
Nobody? Weird. Perhaps Donnie had gone to his lab to grab more tools or just put them away since the aforementioned bucket of appliances had gone missing right along with their possessor.
"Huh. Weird." Y/N thought aloud, and then after looking over her shoulder and out of the doorway, she decided that she might check out the inside of the truck. After all, it had been some time since she'd seen it and was rarely able to because of the lack of missions she joined in on.
She set the two cups of water and foil packages gently on a nearby bench, before making her way towards the rear entrance. Y/N's hands settled on the large iron handle wrapping their small extent around it and then pulled down with all of her strength.
Man, the brothers made it look so easy, and by the time the lever reached its lowest point with a loud click, she had managed to work up a bit of a sweat.
The door, a huge garage-like lift system on the back end of the truck, began to lift, creaking and groaning as it did so. Y/N smiled, eyes glancing down carefully as her feet made contact with each rising step into the truck.
However, her plan had been spoiled, if you could even call it that. Because, just as she was entering the vehicle, it seemed Donatello would be exciting. As Y/N looked up from the final footstep, and Donnie from his tech pad, their noses and mouths bumped, and all was still. Both of their bright eyes were wide with shock and unbearable mortification at the sensation of petal-soft skin against cool scales, lips awkwardly resting upon one another.
They both pulled away as fast as they had come together, though Y/N had been so caught up in her humiliation, that she forgot about the staircase behind her and lost footing. An abrupt shout escaped her lips, helplessly flailing her arms in the air to grab onto something and a strong pair of arms had quickly caught her.
When the girl hesitantly opened an eye to analyze her seemingly unfortunate position, all she was met with, was the shine of Donnie's lustrous eyes, glinting in the bright lights of the workshop. Both were heaving breaths, adrenaline rushing from the swiftness of this occurrence.
"Thanks..." Y/N managed to squeak, trying to calm the furious blush and racing tempo of her heart at the touch of Donatello's strong arms still wrapped around her, "I think I just saw my life flash before my eyes..."
At her remark, Donnie's expression seemed to relax, and he let out a little giggle of amusement. Y/N smiled softly, and then placed the tip of her finger on the bridge of his snout, accompanied with a small 'boop!' That made him laugh even more and then a snort, something he didn't seem to proud of.
"Have I ever told you how cute you are?" She asked, rather abruptly, and the blunt question caught the turtle off guard. She wanted to smack herself across the face at the spilling of her internal conflicts but figured that doing so would cause her further embarrassment. Instead, Y/N was stuck trying to interpret Donatello's dumbstruck expression.
"E-erm, uh no. No, I don't think you've told me that..." Stupid, stupid stupid! What a response! Donnie's mind quipped, Could have at least said thank you... "Y/N..."
"Yeah, Don?"
His answer was completely wordless, just boring endlessly into her sparkling eyes. Though his next move seemed to be a more suited response.
Before he could stop himself, Donnie closed the short distance between and capturing her mouth in a short kiss, tightening the strong grasp of his forearms around her waist and back.
Y/N blinked once. Twice. And nothing shifted, though seemed completely unreal, like one of the hallucinations that she'd conjured in her mind before.
But this was just so... Real. He pulled away before Y/N could fully process what was going on, leaving her mouth to chase after his momentarily.
"You're really... U-um, Y/N I think you're beautiful. And I have this strangely romantic fascination with you..." Donnie trailed off, realizing how utterly stupid he must sound, however, the girl held tightly in his arms found it extraordinarily romantic.
Her fingers danced around the back of his neck snatched the tails of his silk bandana, and then pulled him in again, this time for a lingering address on the lips, tilting her head just slightly to deepen it. Donnie let out a short squeak of surprise, that faded into a satisfied chirp, bellowing from his throat.
They broke away, heaving puffs of air, and idiot-like grins spread across their faces.
"I really like you too Donnie."
"I'm glad," he breathed, just inches away from her face, "cause now we can work together and you don't have to hide staring at my legs."
Y/N flushed immensely before swatting his chest repeatedly, trying to hide her smile at his amused laughter.
"Donatello I will take away your pop tart privileges!"

Saudade 𐂂 J.P
Summary: James Potter realized he spent years chasing after the wrong girl. But is it too late to finally tell you how he feels?
Pairings: James Potter x Reader, James Potter x Lily Evans, Sirius Black x Reader
Content: Jealousy, pining, unrequited love, brief mentions of NSFW, NOTHING EXPLICIT, angst, no spell check, first fic ever!
Tumblr media
The Gryffindor common room was in full swing as soon as the sun set. They had just won the last match of the year against Slytherin. With the rivalry between the two houses, well amongst all of the houses viruses Slytherin, the celebration was inclusive. Students second year and up from Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff were asked to celebrate alongside the red and gold. It was a petty move, disrespectful at most. Nonetheless, the party was vibrant and was nowhere close to ending.
In the corner leaning against the wall closest to the drinks, James was already on his third glass of firewhiskey, chatting away quietly with Sirius alongside a couple of other Gryffindors on the quidditch team, planning out the next years team. Out of the corner of his eyes, James sees the entrance to the common room open. Curious to who would come to the party this late, he extends his neck only to see you enter the room, hands filled with small wrapped gifts and dressed in a short yet casual dress. Turning to talk to Lily, James' eyes never wavered, even with the presence of fiery-red hair.
It was shocking to him, he didn't expect you to come, you weren't known to party until he remembered that you were dating Sirius who joined the quidditch team this year. Of course, you would come to congratulate him.
You and James were first introduced by Remus. You and Remus had rather an academic friendship at first until she had stumbled upon him in the hospital wing after a nasty full moon. Soon afterwards, a beautiful friendship bloomed that rivalled his friendship with the Marauders until Sirius, James, and Peter forced him to introduce you to them.
In all honesty, James had not paid you attention when you two were first introduced. He admitted, you were pretty, smart, and had a fun personality. That was rare, indeed rare when someone had the full package but nobody could compare to his hyper fixation on the so-called love of his life, his Lily-Pad, the girl of his dreams. But that was two years ago and over time, the constant rejection from Lily had caused James to lose confidence. The chase was no longer fun, her irritated attitude towards him had worn him down. However, James continued to engage in the push and pull with Lily. It was mostly out of habit and his hard work finally paid off. It seemed like a waste to not at least pursue a relationship with Lily.
But within those two years, James fell out of love with Lily and instead fell in love with you. Instead of being shut down for telling a joke, you laughed and encouraged him to continue. Never had you tried to change him, to be quieter or less annoying. You simply let him be who he was and enjoyed his company. It was quite a drastic change from Lily to you and he couldn't pinpoint when he decided to choose you. Maybe when he started to look for you in the great hall rather than Lily or decided to ask you for help. But he did know he fully realized he had fallen for you when he didn't smell lilies, old books and Lily's perfume in the Amortentia Slughorn brewed but instead smelled coffee grounds, the rain and your perfume. You always smelled of coffee, rain and the sweet sugary smell of your perfume he had bought you for Christmas.
Days, weeks, months and then years went by and James Potter still couldn't bring himself to tell her how he felt. If anything, it felt as if his heart was pressed against a microphone, booming with every rapid beat.
But if he was honest, the familiar pain of unrequited love settled in his heart. The once unrequited love he received from Lily was nowhere close to the pain he felt for her.
What made it harder was that he would never be able to express it to her as James snapped out of his daze to feel Sirius leaving his side and made a beeline to her. He saw how his best friend's eyes light up when she smiled back at him. How the light twinkled back in her eyes when she smiled back.
"I never thought in a million years it would be her," a raspy voice says beside him. Remus had replaced Sirius' spot and he grabbed a red solo cup on the table beside them, leaning against the same wall as James.
With a forced chuckle, James let out a breathy laugh. "Yeah, we always thought it would be you pal."
A loud groan comes from Remus' mouth, "Would you stop with that, Prongs! She's practically my sister you prat!"
Never once did his eyes leave her until Sirius leaned down and pressed a gentle kiss to her forehead. Gazing downwards, James took a sip of the burning whisky and closed his eyes. He felt his heart crack all over again and felt the painful sensation to cry build up. A beat passes again, Remus was starting to become worried about the change in his friend's behaviour. Deciding to break the silence, he turned back to the couple and spoke again."You know, I think she's the one."
James swore he felt his heart crack as he opened his eyes and stared back at his friend, frowning. Even if he wanted, and he very much wanted to, he could never choose his happiness over Sirius.
Never over Sirius' happiness. Not after what he's been through, not after when his family abused him, broke him down and disowned him. Not after all the times Sirius had been there for James. Not when he considered him family.
But it was also undeniable their spark, even James couldn't deny it. Dropping his head, he rotated his red cup to stare at the amber liquid. Instead of the bright contrast of the red reminding him of Lily, the deep comforting golden brown reminded him of you. Another nudge from Remus had James quickly looking up.
"James! Remus!" you greeted, quickly pulling Remus then James into a hug. He took a moment before handing his drink to Remus to fully wrap his arms around her waist, basking in her warmth and the smell of her hair.
Having been friends and having feelings for James for so long never served you any good. You would always be second to Lily and everyone knew that except you and James."Look at you! At a party? Whew, finally came out of a cave, eh?" he said when you pulled away, eyes glazed over and jaw clenched.
"Hardy har, Prongs. I had too and I wouldn't have missed it," you smiled, slightly turning back to look at Remus now talking to Sirius across the room. "You think I would miss yours and Sirius's last quidditch game... ever! If so, my, my, my Fleamont! You really are that daft then, aren't you?"A smile appeared on both of their faces before a gut-wrenching had both of them laughing before James glanced down at her hands. It was a small wooden box painting in both red and gold with a bow on top. Pointing to it he asked, "Who's that for? Sirius?"
"No actually, I gave him a gift earlier. This - this is for you," she said in a shaky, quiet voice. Reaching for his hand, you pulled it towards your body, turning it over to see the palm of his hand. As you placed the box into his hand, James' body felt electric, going into overdrive from your touches. "This better not be some prank you and Sirius are pulling on me," he said, starting to get a little nervous.
"No, seriously. Open it."
As he unlatched the small hinge on the box, the inside was furnished with soft red velvet. In the middle sat a golden ring with the word 'Saudade' engraved inside the band.
"Saudade?" he asked, still looking down at the ring.
It was your time to glance down. Avoiding the question, she asked, "So do you like it?" Panic started to arise when he didn't respond. Perhaps he didn't like it?
Repeating, "James, do you like-." As she continued to stare at James, she saw teardrops falling onto the soft velvet. "James, oh my god I'm sorry I didn't think-"
"I love it." Finally looking to see her face, he gives a weak smile, snuffling. He takes his hand to wipe his face and pulls her back into a hug. "Thank you, I l-love y-." He pauses before starting again, " I love it so much."
"I got it made about a week ago. It was the last game you were going to play so I thought I should get you something special. To remember it."
Pulling back to look him in the face, she smiles again and reaches up to ruffle his hair. "I'm glad you like it, James." His heart soared at the mention of his name before finally breaking apart. Sirius strides over, arms wrapping around her waist before tucking her head under his chin.
"Wow, Prongs, buddy, you alright?" Weakly nodding, he smiles back at him.
"Damn, you broke him didn't you, love? Trying to steal my spot as best friend huh?"
The three giggle before Sirius once again whispers in her ear and James returns to his spot leaning against the wall watching heat rush to both of his best friends' faces. Unable to continue to look, he looks in the opposite direction where he spots Lily and Remus. Lily was chatting away excitedly to him, presumably about life after Hogwarts, but Remus was already staring back. A look of recognition finally rushed through him. He was too observant for his own good. As Remus stepped forward, James' attention turned back to the couple in front.
"Hey Prongs, we have to go. We'll see you tomorrow."
Bidding their goodbyes quickly, you and Sirius both leave, hands wrapped together as you both head up the towers leading to the dorm rooms.
In his daze, Lily touches his arm, peering at him through her eyelashes. She begins to talk, choosing to hold his arm and lean her head against his shoulder. James tries his hardest to focus on her words but the cracking of his heart is louder.
Thump. Tha-Thump. Thump. Tha-Thump. Thump. It won't slow down.
Thump. Tha-Thump. Thump. Tha-Thump. Thump. It's becoming dangerously loud.
He looks back at Remus, a smile of pity gracing his lips.
Thump. Tha-Thump. Thump. Tha-Thump. Thump
That very night, after James and Lily had made love for the very first time. As Lily was fast asleep on his chest, James slowly detached himself from the red-head and crept out of her bed, snuck out into the shrieking shack and cried. He cried for hours until the sun raised. He yelled, he broke items in the worn-down house, until he was too tired to move. He felt disgusting and guilt riddled every bone in his body. He had never felt emotional pain similar to this. The pain was inexplicable, pretending to have never loved you and Lily instead. The anguish of having to see his best friend love you instead. The grief he felt when he found out Sirius was planning to propose, and the unbearable discomfort he felt when he was asked to be his best man. The agony he felt as he put on his most expensive suit with Lily by his side. The hurt he felt when he saw your beautiful face walk down the aisle, eyes never once leaving Sirius. The despondency he felt when he had to give a speech about how you and Sirius were made for each other.
And as James watched the love of his life and best friend have their first dance as husband and wife, he never felt as hopeless as he did in that very moment. With the wrong woman by his side, a golden ring strung onto a chain underneath his suit shined bright, close to his heart.
                                                                                Saudade
The nostalgic yearning to be near something or someone again that is distant or has been loved and then lost. It also means that an object or person of longing that might never be had again. Some refer to the word as "the love that remains."

Feeling a body shift beside you, you slowly began to wake from your deep, dreamless sleep. With thin rays of sunlight shining through the crack between the curtains, you let a content, sleepy smile toy at the corners of your lips as you rolled over in Keishin's arms and came face to face with his sleeping form.
It had been over a week since you had started staying with Keishin and even though waking up beside someone every morning definitely took some getting used to, you were a little surprised by just how quickly it was beginning to feel normal. Not only that, but you never slept better than you did in Keishin's bed with his warm, calming presence beside you and strong, protective arm draped over your waist.
Eyes closed and lips slightly parted, Keishin was fast asleep. His chest rose and fell rhythmically and at some point during the night, just like every other night, his hair—which wasn't tamed by the headband while he slept—had gotten all messed up and a few strands had fallen into his face.
Whenever you woke up before him, you would always take the chance to just look at him. While he slept, he seemed completely and utterly at peace—no longer burdened by the stress of coaching volleyball, working at the store, and no doubt whatever extra problems you had brought into his life. You thought back to the time you had watched him sleeping on the couch in the back room and sighed happily; the thought of how much things had changed in such a short period of time truly putting things into perspective.
Unable to keep your hands to yourself any longer, you reached out slowly and brushed the loose strands of hair out of his face and tucked them behind his ear—the same way you had done when you two had first had sex and the same way you had done countless times since.
Keishin could sleep through a thunderstorm or the sound of you calling out his name, but as soon as he felt your fingertips graze against his cheek, his eyes fluttered open. Upon noticing he was awake, you made your touch more prominent and caressed his face.
"Good morning," you whispered, unwilling to raise your voice any more than that and ruin the soft ambiance of the early morning.
Keishin leaned into your touch and smiled softly. "What are you doing?"
"Nothing," you answered as you ran your thumb along his bottom lip, internally debating if you should ambush him with kisses now or wait until he had woken up a little more first. Chuckling to yourself over your own thoughts, you caught yourself staring at his lips and directed your gaze back to his eyes. "I'm just looking at you."
Keishin scoffed as he pressed a gentle kiss to your thumb. "Why?"
"Because you look so beautiful when you're asleep," you told him matter-of-factly. "Not that you don't always look beautiful," you added quickly before he could make some sort of sarcastic comment.
Keishin rolled his eyes before pulling you flush against his chest and kissing you. "You're such a sap, you know that?"
You laughed. "First, I'm dramatic. Now I'm a sap. What's next?"
"I have no idea." Keishin shrugged the best he could while lying down. "What I do know, however," he glanced at the clock, "is that we need to get up and get ready."
Following Keishin's gaze to the time, you huffed sadly when you noticed there were only five minutes left until your alarm would go off, forcing you to get ready to open the store. "Can't we just stay in bed all day?" you asked, hoping you could convince him to stay under the covers with you.
"Not unless we want to go broke and end up living under a bridge together."
You chuckled as Keishin crawled out of bed, the temptation of slapping his ass gently when he stood up almost too much but you managed to control yourself. "Together?" You grinned. "You'd stay with me even if we were both dirt poor?"
Keishin rolled his eyes playfully at your takeaway from his statement. "Of course." He collected his clothes before making his way around to your side of the bed and pressing a soft kiss to your forehead. "But I think I like plumbing and heating too much to give them up, so let's shower and get ready."
Sitting up in bed, you cocked an eyebrow. "You want to shower together?"
Keishin flashed a devilish smirk as he headed for the bathroom. "Purely for the purpose of saving water." He disappeared into the bathroom and seconds later his boxers flew out and landed on the floor, indicating he was completely nude. "But if you hate the planet, then I guess that's on you."
Your cheeks flushed red but nevertheless, you swung your legs over the side of the bed and began removing your clothes as you approached the bathroom. "Sure," you laughed as you closed the bathroom door behind yourself and let your eyes wander over Keishin's wet, naked body as he stood under the steaming water. "If it's for the planet, how could I possibly say no?"
20 minutes of passionate kissing and soapy hands exploring every inch of each other's body later, the two of you towelled off and finished getting ready before sitting down for a quick breakfast together.
"So the volleyball team has a game today, right?" you asked Keishin as you poured milk into your bowl of cereal. Keishin nodded. "What time do you think you will be home?"
Keishin thought for a moment before answering. "Probably around six or seven tonight. The game is right after school so it shouldn't run too late."
"Okay." You sat down across from him at the table. "Should we get dinner after I close up the shop?"
Keishin nodded again. "Sounds like a plan."
With a few more bites of his breakfast, Keishin was setting his dishes in the sink, pressing a quick kiss to the top of your head, and rushing down the stairs and out of the building to start his day.
As you listened to his footsteps stomp down the stairs, followed by the sound of the back door opening and closing to indicate that he had left, you sighed to yourself and sat back in your chair. It was then that you took a minute to think about everything; your job, your boyfriend, your living arrangements, your tattered relationship with your parents. In the span of a few months, your life had completely turned upside down, but that wasn't the part that freaked you out the most.
What really got you thinking was the fact that, even though your life had done a complete 180, you had never been happier; which led to the constant internal questioning about if you had ever really been happy before you had met Keishin at all, or if this was just a different kind of happy—a happy that only a stable, supportive significant other could provide.
Before you had the chance to get lost in your thoughts, you snapped out of it, finished your breakfast, and headed downstairs to open the shop and begin your day.
As usual, you dealt with the typical morning rush of people stopping in to grab a coffee or other various food items on their way to work or school. Once the mid-morning slump hit and the customer traffic went way down, you took the time to do some routine cleaning and inventory. By now, you were like a well-oiled machine when it came to the daily task of running the store.
Around noon, as you were finishing up stocking some shelves, the front door opened and a very well-dressed man strolled into the store. "Hello," you greeted him, standing from where you were kneeling in front of the shelves and dusting off your pants.
The man gave you a once over, eyeing you from head to toe. Without so much as an acknowledging nod, he brushed past you and toward the full-length fridges at the back.
Assuming the man just wasn't in a chatty mood, you took the empty boxes to the storage room. When you exited, the man was already standing at the front counter, impatiently tapping his foot while he held two bottles of water in his hands.
"Sorry for the wait," you apologized. "Just the waters today?"
The man just nodded and let out a grunt.
Trying not to take his dismissive attitude too seriously, you rang up his purchases and gave him the total. Instead of pulling out his wallet, however, he just gave you a dirty look.
"That's a little expensive for two bottles of water, don't you think?" he retorted.
You didn't know what to say to that, so you shrugged. "I'm sorry, I don't make the prices, sir," you told him. "I just work here."
Huffing loudly, the man fished his wallet out of his back pocket and pulled out some bills before tossing them haphazardly onto the counter. "Fine. Don't forget my change."
Before you could open the cash register, the front doors opened again and a woman dressed in a beautiful dress with her hair done up elegantly walked in and stopped beside the man before you. "Have you paid yet?" she asked the man, who was either her boyfriend or husband based on the way she was hanging off of his arm. "I just realized I'm out of cigarettes."
"I'm just paying now," he told her, his face softer than you had seen it yet before he turned back to you and asked for the brand of cigarettes that his partner smoked.
Spinning around, you felt your stomach twist at the sight of the empty dispenser of cigarettes, meaning that you were out of the brand he had requested. Of course, the delivery for that day hadn't come in yet, making your job even harder right now.
Plastering the warmest smile on your face that you could muster, you turned back to the couple. "I apologize, but we are all out of that brand. Can I get you something else?"
The woman rolled her eyes. "No, everything else tastes like garbage."
"I see." You stepped back up to the cash register. "So just the waters then?"
The man nodded. "I guess so if your shitty little store doesn't even stock up on popular brands of cigarettes." He watched you intently as you opened the register and counted his change. "I knew we should have stopped somewhere other than this hole in the wall."
As much as you so desperately wanted to rip this man and his spoiled girlfriend a new one, you bit your tongue instead and grinned as you handed him back his change. "Here you are." You dropped the coins into his outstretched hand. "Have a wonderful day."
Neither one of them said anything in response as they turned on their heels and marched out of the store, noses turned up at everything around them. As you watched them get into their fancy car and speed away, you wondered if they treated everyone like that or just lowly corner store workers like yourself.
Trying to let the incident slide off of you like water off of a duck's back, you returned to the remaining tasks on your to-do list and tried to forget all about being treated like a second-class citizen.
As the day turned to late afternoon and the after-school and after-work rush hit, you had found your way back into your groove again.
An hour or so before closing time, and roughly around the time Keishin would be returning, you heard a pair of heels clacking against the tile floor and stood up front behind the counter only to come face-to-face with your mother. Dressed in a pencil skirt and blouse, it was obvious she had just come from work, but your attention was more focused on the envelope she was holding out to you.
"This came for you the other day." She didn't even bother with a simple greeting even though it had been weeks since you had seen or spoken to her or your father.
"Oh, okay." You reached out and took the envelope from her. Turning it over, you felt your heart jump into your throat when you read that it was from the University of Tokyo.
You looked up at your mother expectantly but she waved you off. "Don't ask me what it says, I didn't open it," she said, folding her arms across her chest. "Why didn't you tell your father and me that you applied to the University of Tokyo? It's a very good school."
"Because I didn't do it for you," you said as you tucked the envelope into your back pocket. "And I certainly didn't do it to go to law school or anything you guys would approve of."
Your mother narrowed her eyes at you. "Then why did you do it?"
"To play soccer," you answered, your mind immediately going to the conversation you had had with Keishin while taking inventory together. "And because I told someone I would."
Your mother eyed you for a minute more, waiting to see if you would reach for the envelope again to open it. When you made no indication of sharing your application results with her, she hummed softly. "Well, whatever that letter says, you should take some time to seriously consider what your next step is going to be." She turned to leave but stopped halfway to the door and looked at you over her shoulder. "It's not too late to make the right choice. Think carefully before you throw your life away."
With that, your mother exited the store, leaving you with a mixed slurry of emotions and no clue how to deal with any of them.
Pulling the envelope out of your back pocket, you set it down on the counter in front of you and stared at it. Whatever was printed on the single piece of paper inside would set a course for your future . . . although you were unsure if you even still wanted the future that this piece of paper could give you.
All you wanted was to be happy, and all you knew was that Keishin gave you that.
Anything more felt like asking for too much.
Anything more felt like a gamble that wasn't worth the risk.

if that makes sense lmaoo
Definitely Not Broke

genre ; fluff with some angst in it

summary ; every person knew two things about park jongseong. he was rich and he had a girlfriend which he loved. but is money the solution to everything?
pls this is literally so late,,, sorry!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
You opened the door to your bedroom, a glittery box sitting on your desk quickly catching your attention.
Not another one.
It was your fourth present from jay this week and let me tell you, none of the other three gifts were cheap.
You took the delicate box in your palms and carefully opened it, revealing a ring, as you got it out of the box you immediately recognized yours and jay's initials, carved on the inside part of the ring.
You let out a sigh after admiring the ring for some time, wondering why on earth he was getting you gifts almost every day. You opened a calendar you had placed in a box under your bed and took notes of today's gift. It wasn't that you were unappreciative of the gift, you were feeling a mix of emotions, slight anger, a bit of sadness and on top of that you felt confused.
After some time of you laying on your bed, watching tv and opening the ring's box to admire it every now and then passed, you heard the door of your appartment open and close silently.
You guessed it was jay, his heavy footsteps could easily be recognized and the footsteps were becoming louder so you guessed that he was coming towards your room.
Now is the time. You thought.
You had thought countless times about telling him to stop buying you expensive gifts and confronting him about it but you never felt enough brave to do it. However now you had finally the courage to tell him and you weren't going to lose your chance.
"how were classes today love?" he asked as he placed his bag on the floor and came towards your bed.
"they were fine, not that tiring, you came later than me though, is everything fine?" you asked, your facing forming into that of a confused face.
"yeah, I was just planning something with hersung and jake" he said and turned to look in your eyes
"listen jay, I want to talk with you about something"
"what is it y/n? did I do anything wrong?" he asked suddenly looking worried
"no it was just, something that bothered me", you paused trying to find some kind of emotion in his eyes, his expression softening after you told him there wasn't anything wrong, "why do you get me these expensive gifts all the time jay?"
He laughed. He deadass laughed.
"I'm being completely serious right now jongseong" you said looking at him straight in the eye, him shifting awkwardly in his position when he heard you calling him by his full name. You never called him by his full name.
"Why, y/n, don't you like them?"
"Jay no one said I didn't like them, I have actually kept all of them but you being rich doesn't mean that you have to spoil me and give me gifts everyday" he looked away after the last part of your sentence. He sat up from your bed and hugged you, then he just picked his bag up from the floor and left your room. That kind of behavior was weird coming from him. He would usually sit with you, cuddle and solve the problem you had but him leaving without saying anything was totally unexpected.
You heard him close your front door with a loud thud and you ran to check out of the window, seeing him enter his expensive car and just staying inside his car.
Honk, it was heard from outside your window and you looked out to see your boyfriend hitting his car's steering wheel with his,,, head.
Two minutes passed and you saw him start his car, leaving your place after taking his anger out. You decided that it was enough for today, you seriously were in no mood to fight jay, you just wanted him to know that you didn't want his money, but him.
You headed towards your bed, when your door bell was heard, you let out a groan, as you didn't really want to see anyone, let alone the guy standing outside of your front door. Of course it would be him, jake shim, jay's best friend and his only friend you were close to. You knew most of his friends hung with him because he had money but surely enough, jake was his only true friend.
"What is it jake?" you inquired, you were sure he wouldn't be here because he suddenly wanted to see you.
"Are you and jay alright? He wouldn't answer any of my calls and he only answered me once, saying that he is a coward who messed up and he wanted me to check on you" he said quickly, you swore that if he spoke more quickly you wouldn't have understood anything, he was in the college's debate team, after all.
"I guess I'm alright now but jay could have been less of an ass actually, I wanted to tell him to stop giving me presents but he thought that I didn't like them and then he got up, hugged me and left" you said, wiping two tears that dared to escape your eyes. It was your first ever fight, you didn't really know how to handle these situations and you seriously didn't want to put the blame on any of you.
"Oh so that's why he sounded stressed. Look, y/n, jay has a huge past with giving gifts to his past girlfriends, all of them knew he was rich so that's why they accepted him being their boyfriend, they would ask for presents all the time and the moment they didn't like a gift, they would break up with him because he couldn't offer them much. But that's all bullshit, it somehow made jay develop attachment issues, so when he started liking you so much, he wanted to do everything to get you to stay with him." he said, letting out a loud sigh and staring at you, " it's not bad that you confronted him about it, but he probably thinks that you don't really want him now." he said and started to leave your appartment, stopping, however, when you yelled his name. "Please tell jay to pass by my house tomorrow, I really want to talk with him." you said and saw him nod his head yes, so you closed your door and headed bad to your room so you could finally get some rest because you were both mentally and physically tired.
--------------->♡timeskip♡<---------------
Your close passed by quickly which was surprising. You headed back to your appartment, unlocking your front door and taking your shoes off as soon as you opened and closed your door. You made your way to your kitchen to grad an apple, noticing another box on your kitchen table. Not again. You were actually frustrated. This was his way to fix everything? G I F t S?!?! You opened it and saw a red rose as soon as you took the box's lid off. A necklace with a heart pendant was playing under the rose and a letter which you understood it was jay by the handwriting.
"Sorry, I'm sincerely sorry as I'm writing this letter, my behavior was honestly not the best yesterday but I couldn't really take in what you told me properly, I'm sorry you're also receiving my apology like this, from a letter I mean, and that I'm not standing in front of you apologising, jake told me that you wanted to talk to me so I'll be passing by later so that we can set this matter,
Sincerely your beloved,
Park Jongseong"
The letter read. You teared up but made sure to wipe the tears as the door bell was heard and you were sure it was him. You went to the door after you sniffled a little and opened the door to come face to face with who you called the love of your life.
"Hey"
"Hi jay" you said and made way for him to come inside your apartment.
"Listen, I'm sorry about yesterday, honestly, I didn't really want to talk about the gifts topic as it really is a sensitive topic to me" he admitted, looking at the floor, lifting his eyes only when he finished his sentence.
"Jay, jake told me about your gifts and I want to help you understand that whether you get me gifts or not, I'll be with you" you said, staring right into his eyes, him lifting his arms and coming towards you to hug you, almost squeezing the air out of your lungs. "Does that mean that you'll be with me and I can get you gifts?"
"Jay please don't get me any more gifts, I have nowhere to put them and I cant have fourty necklaces on me everytime I go out" you let out a sigh once you finished and you heard jay chuckle.
"Shall we watch a movie then?" he said enthusiastically and waited for your response.
"Once I put the rose in a cup of water we can do whatever we like" you responded pointing towards the rose, which was left on the kitchen's counter.
You were feeling better, you and your boyfriend were alright again and you hoped that he would never again feel like he should give you anything because he wants to prove that he is worthy of being your boyfriend because sincerely, you loved him.

Imprint- Werewolf Bakugo x Fem! Reader Pt 1
A/N: I wrote this for @chaoticyuna and her summerween event which can be found here …this probably will be a multipart series…
WC: 1.7k
Warnings: None really this part is pretty SFW
There were always stories about your college UA. The ghosts that moaned and haunted the hallways, the skeletons they found buried deep beneath the school, the vampires that roamed openly on campus at night. None were ever as exaggerated as the tale of the werewolf that runs through the forest at night.
Of course, you didn’t believe any of this. The closest thing to ghosts or vampires were the pale-faced, sleep-deprived students you attended the school with. The fact that wolves even lived in the forest around the school seemed absurd. So when you started your first year at UA, the seniors would try to scare the freshmen.
You never gave in nor did you believe the stories. So when you decided to join a sorority, of course your initiation was to spend a night in the forest. Honestly, it was pathetic that so many gave into the stories like this. You refused to do such an act and were not accepted into the Sorority.
You tried again with another sorority that seemed to align with your ideals concerning the “supernatural” existence of beings. Your initiation was similar to the other sorority, only you had to go to the forest on a full moon and spend the whole night there. To you it wasn’t anything, you’d been camping many times with your family since you were little. One night wouldn’t hurt.
So you packed your sleeping bag, a few snacks, water, and some extra clothes. The warmth of the fall day gave false hope. You had checked the weather and made sure that it wasn’t going to be raining that night or extraordinarily cold. Everything seemed to have been perfect.
After dinner, you took your stuff and ventured off into the forest. You found a nice clearing not too long after the sun had just set, just before it became too dark to see. You set up camp, built a fire, and let your thoughts take you wherever they pleased while looking under the starry sky. You had drifted off to sleep fairly quickly.
A few hours later, you were awoken by the sound of a low growl of a wolf. The sound meant danger, and even in your half-sleeping state, you knew something was wrong. You quietly, and quickly tried to pack your things without attracting too much attention, you backed up slowly and felt yourself press up against something soft. You held your breath as you slowly turned to face a massive carmel colored wolf with red eyes. The last thought you had before everything turned cold and dark was, ‘I am going to die here, but why does he look sort of humane?’
You woke up just after the sun rose, in a cold sweat. Unsure if you dreamt of the giant wolf, or if it really happened. You argued with yourself while you packed up your things, but a feeling of uneasiness settled over you, almost as if you were being watched. You shook it off and chalked it up to your imagination. You walked back to the sorority house and reported your finding of nothing.
The next two weeks passed quickly, without much of anything happening. You were part of the Sorority, participating in house parties, thinking of charity events, and of course school. It was almost two months into school when you got a new student in your business marketing class, which was normally not a thing that happened often. When he entered the room all the girls in class stared at him. He oozed confidence and cockiness. Whispers were murmured amongst the girls.
When you looked up to see the commotion, you saw him walking toward you. Something about his stance and aura made you not want to make eye contact with him.
“Is this seat taken?” He asked you gruffly while pointing to the one directly next to you. You shook your head no, and kept your head down and gaze averted.
“I’m Katsuki Bakugo.” He told you while holding his hand out to you. You really wanted to look at him, but everything inside you screamed not to. You ignored him as best as you could, but your interaction  made the whole classroom whisper again.
“Alright, everyone settle down. Today’s assignment and your homework is to create a business model that you think would have sustainable growth in a five year model. You will be working with a partner. You have two weeks to complete this and present it to the class.” You swore you saw all the girls' eyes glued to Bakugo as the professor spoke.
“Bakugo, since you’re new to this class, I will let you pick your partner first.” The Professor said, but all the girls sat up a little straighter trying to get Bakugo’s attention. “I advise you though, that just because you are starting so late, I won’t make any excuse for you not to get your work done. You have quite a bit to catch up on.” He continued.
You saw Bakugo give a sly grin when the Professor said this. He nodded his head curtly.
“I choose Y/N as my partner for this assignment.” Bakugo spoke aloud, and you saw all the girls in the room deflate a little bit. You didn’t know Bakugo so how did he know you? You thought to yourself.  When you looked at him after he spoke, for the first time since he entered the room, something about him seemed so familiar. His eyes softened a bit as you looked at one another before he tore his eyes away from you. You felt his whole mood shift from confident to anger. You couldn’t explain it, but you knew something was off with Bakugo.
After everyone was partnered up, and you heard a few quips from the other females about how unfair it was that Bakugo picked you, the two of you were set off to work. As uncomfortable as Bakugo seemed with you, or the classroom, he had a lot of ideas for the assignment. Just before class the two of you exchanged numbers and planned to meet at the library tomorrow night.
Every other night you and Bakugo spent time at the library together until close. He always seemed very tense when around you, and you thought perhaps, it was just your personality that he didn’t like. He’d walk you to your dorm or sorority house when needed. The night before your presentation to the class, you were supposed to meet him, but he never showed up.
You walked around the school looking for him. You caught up with one of his friends Kirishima, who told you that Bakugo wasn’t feeling well. You thanked Kirishima, and gave him a message for Bakugo. You noticed that it was a full moon, and a cool fall night. You walked toward the forest where you felt most at peace. As you felt the cool crisp air biting at your cheeks, and feel your troubles melt away, you walked aimlessly.
Suddenly, you were in the darkest part of the forest, where very little moonlight filtered through the trees. You felt that uneasiness once again, and realized you were lost. Behind you, you heard a branch crack and break. Your heartbeat raced and you realized that you heard a low, warning growl from a wolf. This time you knew you weren’t dreaming.
In front of you was a snarling shadow with the bluest eyes you’d ever seen. You were shaking from adrenaline and while you should have ran away, you heard the gruffest, “Don’t Move” inside your head. So you obeyed. From above you lept a lighter colored wolf, who placed himself in front of you.
The two snarled at one another for a bit, but seemed to be communicating somehow. The sight was incredible and unbelievable. When the other wolf left without your legs gave out and you fainted once again.
When you woke you were surrounded with the feeling of warm fur, and the smell of carmel that pulled you back into sleep. You didn’t dream of anything more, but hours later you woke up in a fit, and inside your dorm. When you exited your dorm to rush to class, you were greeted by Bakugo.
“Hey, Y/N. Are you okay?” You eyed him suspiciously, he wasn’t as tense as he normally was.
“I am fine. I’ve just had nightmares as of late.” You snapped at him.
“Alright.” He said nonchalantly. The truth was you had a million questions for him, but you knew you couldn’t ask him.
“I meant, last night, I found you passed out in front of your dorm when I was walking back from the store.” He told you. You opened your mouth and then closed it.
“You know what? I don’t need this fake sympathy from you. Let’s do this stupid presentation and then we will never have to speak again.” You shouted at him.
He fell behind you as you walked as quickly as you could to the classroom. You both gave your presentation and ignored Bakugo as best as you could for the rest of class.
After class, you were the first one out and ran straight back to your dorm. You turned off your phone and fell asleep for the rest of the day. Your dorm mates Momo, Mina, and Ochako came and went.  Mina, whom you shared a room with, asked you if you wanted to join them. You told her no, and she knew that sometimes all you needed was space, gave you a head pat and left.
When they all left you were able to sleep again and at one point you swore you heard a knock at the door, but ignored it and everyone for the rest of the day. When you turned your phone on the next day, you saw the 5 missed phone calls from Bakugo. You were angry looking at that. The long apologetic text message didn’t seem to help either, nor did the box of Flamin’ hot Cheetos, which you assumed was Mina. However, you spotted the little note scribbled on top from Bakugo, you sat down angrily on the couch in the common area between your room and the other one, and ate the chips angrily. You were determined to ignore Bakugo for as long as possible.

You’ve been eating like a hormonal teenage boy these past weeks and you know it needs to stop and held under control, but you just can’t help yourself. It’s like your stomach has become a black hole that needs to absorb any and every food that’s home, you’re constantly snacking beside the large portions you eat three times a day, there’s always something you’re craving, the shopping list on the fridge is changing every hour because you think of something else to eat.
Luckily, you haven’t gained that much weight besides the noticeable bump that’s your baby in your belly, seems like your little girl does need all the food and she uses it instead of letting it all get stuck on other parts of your body, so you’re fine for just now.
Sitting on the couch, watching some kind of soap opera, you’re snacking on an entire jar of Nutella this time, shamelessly stuffing your mouth with the sweet, thick stuff, pretty sure that nothing will be left of it by the end of the day. Sebastian is away again for his second filming that was scheduled even before you found out you were pregnant and he messed around with it a little, shortening it once again and you just visited him last weekend. Now that you are pushing the end of your second trimester, your bump is quite evident, not something you can hide easily, so when you showed up on set with your boyfriend, you didn’t even try to cover it up, knowing well someone would spot it sooner or later. However everyone on the team has been so respectful, keeping the news to themselves, because no headlines have been made about your pregnancy just yet, keeping the secret even longer. To be honest, you’re surprised it hasn’t been discovered sooner, you thoughr someone would catch you out and about and see right through your baggy clothes and sell the news to the tabloids, but now you are in the sixth month and no one knows a thing.
Your phone chimes next to you, a text from Seb and you hum to yourself happily, putting the jar aside to grab the phone and see what he wrote.
“How are my two favorite girls doing? Miss you a lot!”
He even attached a silly selfie of himself in hair and makeup, he looks adorable with the clips in his hair and some kind of patches under his eyes. Like a real beauty guru.
Grabbing the Nutella, you place it on top of your bump as you move the phone to a lower angle and take a selfie that makes your bump look even bigger, the jar on top and you grinning widely at the camera as you snap a picture and send it to him with your reply.
“Enjoying our third snack of the day at 11 am! Miss you too, can’t wait to see you next week!”
He reads the message right away, his reply coming just seconds later.
“Look at that bump! You look gorgeous, baby! Can’t wait to see you too, have fun with your sister today, love you lots Xx”
Since he has left you’ve been trying to keep yourself busy so you don’t miss him too much and you’re also using these weeks to spend as much time with your friends and family as possible, knowing well once the baby arrives you won’t be going out that much for a while, nestled up in your home, learning the ropes of being a mother. Today you are meeting up with your sister, she is taking you out to this alleged new, quite fancy restaurant you haven’t heard about before. She claimed that it’s really exclusive, so you don’t have to worry about being photographed or bothered, but she also told you to glam yourself up for the occasion. It’s gonna be some nice sister time, something you haven’t been able to do in a long time.
You take the assignment seriously, doing your hair and makeup the best you can and you decide to put on a flowy maxi dress with a soft, knitted cardigan, very much going for a kind of cottage core vibe. Leaving just in time you text your sister that you’re on your way, putting the address into the GPS and heading out of town, because the place is near the beach. She texts you back that she’ll meet you there and so your short little road trip begins. Sitting in the car you’re listening to one of the many playlists Sebastian has made for you and the baby, he likes to play them at home, humming the songs under his breath, hoping to start educating your little girl in the field of music as early as possible. You have to admit he has a good taste, so you don’t mind it at all.
As you follow the instructions of the GPS you find the place that’s supposed to be your destination, but it doesn’t seem like a restaurant at all, more like a mansion of some kind, a very expensive looking if you are being honest. There are no other cars, no sign of other people so as you park at the front you call your sister.
“Hey, I’m right outside, but I have a feeling I’m at the wrong place? It doesn’t look like a restaurant.”
“Oh, don’t worry! You’re at the right place! I’m a little late, but I’ll be there soon, just go inside, they are expecting us!” she assures you, but you’re still not convinced.
Ending the call you approach the entrance and for your surprise the heavy doors open before you could even knock or find the bell. A man in a tuxedo appears in front of you, smiling warmly at you.
“Miss Y/L/N?”
“Uh, yeah,” you nod, a little shy and confused.
“Please, follow me,” prompts as you walk inside and the two of you start crossing the grandiose hall of the building.
At this point you are sure it’s not a restaurant, but you have no idea why your sister wanted you to come here. You want to ask the man if you’re even at the right place, but he called you by your name so he was expecting you, this has to be the place where you’re supposed to be. More and more questions pile up in your head as you follow him out to the backyard, a gigantic, flower-filled garden that’s straight out of a fairytale, a path leading down to the beach where there’s a dreamy little pergola with even more flowers and fairy lights and as your eyes fall on the figure standing in the middle of the pergola, you immediately gasp.
Because surrounded with all the flowers and lights, there is Sebastian standing in an elegant suit, smiling widely at you as the man next to you helps you down the stairs before you start walking down the path to him.
Tears are flooding your eyes, because you already know what it is, but you can’t believe it’s really happening. He was so sneaky, he got home from filming earlier and even made your sister play along to surprise you, he is such a romantic soul, no one can change your mind about that!
“You’re not in Atlanta!” you tell him when he is finally close enough to hear you. He chuckles sweetly, taking a few steps forward to meet you sooner, his hands finding your waist as you cup his face in your hands, pulling him down to kiss you right away.
“No, I’m not, baby,” he smirks, his hands sliding to your belly, gently stroking the sides as you wipe your tears away, but there’s no use, because the next moment, he steps back a little, just enough so that he can get down on one knee and you’re crying again when you see him pull out a little velvety box from his pocket.
You were expecting it. You knew he would propose before the baby arrives, but you just didn’t know when and how, but he surely outdone himself with his little surprise.
“My Love, Y/N,” he starts after a deep breath, his hands finding yours and you can feel the shaking, but you’re not sure if it’s coming from yours or his. Probably both. “I’ve spent the best years of my life with you and I haven’t been the same man since the day I met you, but in the best way possible. You are the most amazing woman I’ve ever met and I’m so lucky that you did not only choose to be with me, but you are now carrying our baby under your heart as well, out little one who is equal parts of you and me, though you’re doing ninety percent of the job here,” he adds with a chuckle, making you laugh through your tears. “I knew I wanted to spend the rest of my life with you the moment you were so badass on your first date, kissing me when I didn’t have the balls to do the first step, but I’m glad you did. I fell in love with you right then and there and the same thing has been happening every day, over and over again since then. I know we went a little out of order with everything we had planned,” he smirks, glancing down at your bump before his blue eyes find yours again, “but that doesn’t change the fact that I want to spend the rest of my life with you, so I have a question for you.”
He pops the lid of the box open, a gorgeous, brilliant diamond ring coming to your vision, sparkling in the warm afternoon Sun so perfectly, it takes your breath away.
“Y/N Y/L/N, will you make me the happiest man alive and marry me?” he asks, clearly nervous, even though there’s no doubt about your answer, you’ve told him plenty of times before that you want to marry him, but still, it’s a huge moment in both your lives.
“Yes, yes, yes!” you nod eagerly as you both start laughing in relief, his shaky fingers tagging the ring out of the box and sliding it to your finger gently, before he brings your hand to his mouth and kisses the ring.
Then he finally stands up and you basically throw yourself into his arms, kissing him like your life depends on it as he kisses you back with just as much force.
“I love you and I can’t wait to call you my wife,” he sighs pleased against your lips.
“Mm, another title in the line? Girlfriend, baby mama, fiancé and then wife,” you giggle giddily.
“You missed one,” he cocks an eyebrow at you slyly.
“Which one?”
“Love of my life.”
